Speaker 1 (00:00):
And good morning to you. Happy howiday weekend? Huh, it's
it's just a spell baron out there. I think everybody's
going to some place, but they're not in this area.
They they're already driven, they're they're gone, they're in another state,
or they're in the air, or they're they're not here.
They're certainly not in this building. I'll tell you what
(00:22):
if you're not on the air here, you're not here.
The sales floor, you know, and the management floor they're empty.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Where do we go wrong, Larry?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
We didn't get into management. That's exactly what you should do.
I mean, it's empty. The whole building is like empty.
I was kidding with the security guards downtown downstairs. I mean,
I said to them, is there anybody showing up today?
And he said, it's just a little trickle of a
few people that have to be here. It's it's almost empty.
(00:53):
So God bless you, and you know, you get the
you get that four day weekend and we don't. But
that's okay. But it's gonna be beautiful for you, really nice,
really nice. Maybe a passing shower today, but other than that,
right through the weekend, all the way through Tuesday, it's
gonna be sunny, so it's just wonderful. I'm glad you
have the day off. I'll be off tomorrow like always.
(01:19):
But I'm so happy for everybody that has some time
off and that you get to enjoy it and then
get back on Tuesday. In the meantime, in the Big Three,
we have to remember what happened yesterday, A day after
the horrific mass shooting at a church in Minneapolis. We
are hearing stories of true bravery.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Over the past day. I've heard many stories accounting the
swift and heroic actions of children and adults alike from
inside the church. Without these people and their selfless actions,
this could have been a tragedy of many magnitudes. More
For these people, I'm thankful.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, And all the stories of children helping other children,
older children pushing second graders and first graders under the
pews to save their lives. What a wonderful community and
what a horrible thing to have happened to them. Mayor
Eric Adams is taking a trump like action after a
(02:23):
series of murders and shootings in the Bronx.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Inded shooters hid an unintended target and when bullets fly
because the gang disputes. It doesn't stop in poises say okay,
this is not a rival gang member, or this is
a rival gang member. It takes a life. It takes
the life of an innocent person, right, And.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
So he's sending a thousand officers into the Bronx. He
is flooding the Bronx. Also, he's going to have a
summit with those gang members at Gracie Mansion. That's going
to be the topic of Natalie Migliore's Beat on the
Street coming up. Andrew Cuomo is now warning that New
Yorkers if Zorin Mamdani becomes mayor, President Donald Trump is
(03:07):
going to take over the city.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
If Zoran Mandani became mayor, how long would it be
before he took control of New York City? A day,
two days a week.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
In Chicago, there is right now a groundswell of support,
not from the Democratic politicians, of course, you know they're
anti Trump, Trump stay away, Trump, stay away, but from
the people for Donald Trump to help fight crime in
their city.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
We need to invite President Trump in. We invite the
National Guardian. You know, we've had two hundred and fifty
four deaths in two hundred and thirty three days. Eighty
percent of those have been black boys. And for anyone
in our community to say that things are getting better
and that people are safe, that is an outright lie.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
More problems at Newark's Liberty International air for incoming planes
couldn't land because air traffic control wasn't able to communicate
with the pilots.
Speaker 7 (04:08):
They told us there was some sort of frequency issue
with the airport, and we just kept circling, circling, probably
for about an hour.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
The all important Path station in Hoboken, New Jersey, is
closed for repairs that may take up to five days,
leaving tens of thousands of commuters to find another way
into the city. I just have to add another maybe
thirty to sixty minutes to make sure I'll be I'll
be down time and at Penn Station soon to become
(04:38):
Trump Station. The new Acella train is getting rave reviews.
Speaker 8 (04:42):
It's gorgeous.
Speaker 9 (04:43):
It's such luxury compared to the old train, kind of
compared to an airplane because I fly a lot.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
It is gorgeous, super smooth.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, it was beautiful. Let's talk about yesterday just a
little bit more. It is still sinking in exactly what happened,
and now the father of ten of eight year old
Fletcher Merkele, his father is Jesse Merkle, spoke to the
(05:13):
media and also spoke with the for the parents of
Harper Moyski, who was ten years old.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
A coward decided to take our eight year old son,
Fletcher away from us. Because of their actions, we will
never be allowed to hold him, talk to him, play
with him, and watch him grow into the wonderful young
man he was on the path to be coming.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
And right after that, the Merkell family and the Moyski
family put out a joint statement asking please for the
media to stay away. Now they've made their statements, they've
talked to the media, and that's enough. Just let them mourn.
Police Chief Brian O'Hara talked about the bravery not only
of the community, but of the other children. He was
(06:02):
marveling at it. You know, of all the people that
were in front of microphones, this guy was the most appropriate.
Speaker 10 (06:12):
All of our law enforcement partners, first responders, and many children,
members of the school staff, and parishioners of Annunciation Annunciation
Catholic Church all showed incredible courage yesterday. Yesterday in the
face of unspeakable horror.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
We've heard stories of children getting on top of younger
children and taking a bullet, but they were trying to
protect someone else. We've heard stories of older children going
along a row and pushing younger children under the pews.
It is amazing. I mean, you don't know what you're
(06:53):
gonna do in a moment like that, right, you don't
know who you're gonna be. Are you gonna hide? Are
you gonna care about yourself? That's the that's the instinct, right.
Nobody can shame you for that. Of course, it just
kicks in. But what kicked in to a lot of
these children at Annunciation was to protect others. First thing
(07:16):
they thought of, Oh my goodness, I need to protect
the younger children. That's special, that's a special community. That's
incredible for someone that young to think of the person
next to them, to think of someone more vulnerable, and
to put themselves at risk. I'll tell you what, it
(07:41):
is horrible. What happened. It is horrific, But it could
have been worse. It could have been much worse, and
if not for the bravery of those kids, it would
have been in that community. An Annunciation parish should feel
(08:04):
proud of the ones that were willing. Now, thank god
none of them were killed. Some of them took bullets
though when here in the hospital. Thank God for those
children that they protected. Others.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
His buddy's family reached out to me to just say
how much they're thankful for Francis, my son's name, for
protecting their young first grader and I'm so proud of
my son for doing that.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, that was Juliet and Najar Shepherd, the mother of Francis,
who can't you know, you can see she's still filled
with emotion. How could you not be, but so as
she said, so proud of her son. It is. It
is just amazing to look at, I mean, coming out
(08:53):
of tragedy, to have these stories of heroism. I guess
it happens a lot, but not with children in this age,
and that needs to be celebrated. That needs to be
honored in the face of tragedy. And we, you know,
and we got to stop talking about that devil that
(09:13):
went and shot up at church and put those children
in jeopardy. They're now in the media going around trying
to find more about him. And they came across a
young girl named Josephina Sanchez. Josephina Sanchez was kind of friends,
was in the same classes. Knew the coward that shot
(09:36):
up that school, and she said, look, I was always
afraid of them.
Speaker 11 (09:40):
It doesn't leave your mind when you see something like erratic,
it doesn't leave your mind.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
So he would.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Put up his hand and say, like, praise Hitler.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, glad he killed himself. Look, he might have had
a tragic life. You know, he was transgender, he was confused.
I get it, I'm you know, but how can you
feel sorry for this scum? You know he was willing
to take the lives of several children. It wasn't for
the heroism of other children he would have so good riddance.
(10:16):
Well we have the weekend now after this tragedy. You know,
it's gonna be horrible up in Minneapolis, but they'll heal
and that community, with those people in that community, you
know they're going to come back stronger than ever. Here's
a nice story to get us out of this. A
New Jersey shopwrite employee has become a viral sensation for
(10:40):
her sales pitches. We'll talk about that next. Thanks for
being here this morning. If you're not out of town. Well,
even if you are of town, you can tune in.
So if you're somewhere across the country or around the
world and you're listening, thank you so much for that.
That is that is loyalty. By a way, if you
(11:00):
want to leave a talkback, you go to the iHeartRadio app.
You look for seven to ten wor and the talkback feature,
hit the microphone and we're going to play them throughout
the morning. Also, if you get chosen by the academy
in the other room, they're locked away so we can't
influence them, you will win the very special prize of
(11:22):
a Mintie in the Morning t shirt. You will be
the envy of your community. With that end, you automatically
get in the running. Today we're gonna give out the
talk back of the Week for the best radio ever made,
the Sea Crane Radio. So that's all ahead. In the meantime,
(11:43):
there is a woman that works at the Shop Right
in Paramus, New Jersey that has become an influencer for
Shop Right. She during the pandemic, she started doing little
songs and this loved it, and she'd put them up
on TikTok and should put them up on Instagram and
(12:04):
she became a sensation. She now has a half a
million followers, and some of the things she's done have
gotten millions of views. And she is just a trip.
And she works over there. She asks the store owner
if she could do something. By the way, if you're
(12:26):
in the store and you walk by this woman, her
name's Letitia White, she's become a local celebrity. If you
walk by the woman, she will do a sales pitch
for something that happens to be right there.
Speaker 12 (12:38):
Sixty nine cents?
Speaker 1 (12:40):
But where are you?
Speaker 5 (12:41):
Where are you when the sales are going through?
Speaker 1 (12:47):
That was on she did for a video. She will
do it the customers. And by the way, the customers
adore her.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
And she's our angel, our shop right angel.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Thank you. She make you buy stop heck yea.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
She comes in she says, now, come on, now, look
at this sausage.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
You know how good this is gonna be. She is
a trip. She is so funny. They did a local
news did a story on her, and she is just wonderful. Now,
this is how it all started. It was during the pandemic,
you know, when everybody was looking for things to do,
and everybody was looking for entertainment and you remember, you
were allowed to still go to the grocery store during
(13:26):
the pandemic. They had senior hours that were a little
bit older than everybody else, so the most vulnerable wouldn't
you know, catch something. And then later on they had hours,
but you were supposed to stand apart from each other.
So this is the first thing she did that went
viral that made Letitia White from Paramus, New Jersey, a star.
Speaker 9 (13:51):
I'm shopping, I'm rocking this where I wanna be so those.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
Dolls there so close to me.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Adorable. And she had a sign on asking people to
make sure that they're social distancing and and staying apart
from each other when they're in the aisles and shopping
and give give people that are looking at something a
little bit of time before you move up and get
get right up next to them. That's what made her
a star. That is the song she does a little dance.
(14:30):
She she does it full body when she does it.
She does a little dancing.
Speaker 13 (14:34):
You got to commit to it.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah, commit I'm sitting here thinking what has Shop Right
done for her anything?
Speaker 1 (14:43):
That's a great question. Well, she said, after the first
time she did it, she was worried that management wasn't
going to like it, but you know, it was during
the pandemic. So the management's like, oh yeah, please, just
you know, keep doing it. Keep And now it's been
years of her doing this. By the way, they asked
her about her singing, it just come from my soul.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
They just come out.
Speaker 8 (15:05):
I sing not to sing like I'm a star, but
sing to get your attention.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I love that attitude. Yeah, I'm not gonna sing like
I'm a star. I'm just singing to get your attention.
Speaker 13 (15:17):
That's my attitude whenever I go to karaoke. It's not good,
but you've got to put your whole soul in there. Yes,
I'm a performer, I'm not a singer.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
This is Chris Hweitzer, who's in for Natalie Vaka and
has been doing a wonderful job all week. Do you
go to karaoke? I don't see you at karaoke? Oh
quite a bit.
Speaker 13 (15:35):
Well, I don't say quite a bit, but it's fun.
It is a lot of fun. I would say like
five six times a year.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
What's your go to song?
Speaker 13 (15:42):
I got a ton well, really heavy, like I sing
like Lincoln Park.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I'll be screaming. Yeah, I gotta see this absolutely just
to watch him. Now, let's get to Jacqueline Carl with
the six thirty News, Jacqueline.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Larry, Good Morning. Support is pouring in from across the
country after deadly school shooting in Minneapolis left two students
stead and nearly twenty others injured. The gunment opened fire
through the windows of a Catholic school before taking his
own life. Now, groups like Sandy Hook Promise and the
Uvalde Foundation for Kids are reaching out, offering condolences and
(16:20):
launching efforts to support grieving families. Nearly seventeen and a
half million Americans are expected to fly for the Labor
Day weekend, a record high. According to the TSA.
Speaker 12 (16:31):
Port Authority expects about two and a half million flyers
will pass through it's New York City area airports this
holiday weekend, and that would be a record high. Triple
A says New York City is third when it comes
to top US travel destinations for the weekend. The agency
says domestic flights are six percent cheaper than this time
last year, and hotel rooms they're down eleven percent. Meanwhile,
(16:52):
gas prices also down in New York and New Jersey
compared to a year ago. I'm snaffpringle wrdws.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
So imagine being arrest for taking back your own home.
According to Oddity Central, a French homeowner named Maria is
now facing up to seven years in prison and one
hundred and sixteen thousand dollars fine after taking back her
own property from non paying squatters while the squatters were
on vacation. I guess they saved a lot of money
(17:18):
in rent and utilities went on vaca. The bizarre legal
situation began in the summer of twenty twenty two when
Maria decided to reclaim her house in Carcassone after the
occupants refused to pay rent for several months and authorities
wouldn't intervene. They won't intervene on that, but they're going
to arrest this poor woman and find her. Maria changed
the locks, she emptied the house of the squatter's belongings,
(17:41):
even selling some items at a garage sale to recover
unpaid rent and utility bills. And I think she had
every right to do this. These people just suddenly stopped
paying rent and utilities. It was costing her a lot
of money and they went on vacation. So she took
back her home what would you do.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
The squatters went on vaca.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, paying utilities.
Speaker 13 (18:03):
I think if you're like doing that to somebody and
just stealing their home asenion, you really just can't leave.
You kind of got to commit to it.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah yeah, yeah, but they didn't. They went on vacation
and now they're This woman made Chase seven years in
jail and astronomical finds because she wanted her home back
because these people weren't paying rent utilities. Isn't that bizarre?
Speaker 1 (18:24):
No, it's not. That's the shame of it. It's happening
all across the country with squatters' rights. What with squatters rights?
I know, people just take your home and if they're
long enough, they have some rights apparently to your home
that you paid for and you lived in. It happens
especially at like rental properties all the time. We got
to change the laws. This is a this is a
(18:46):
huge problem in the country. But this poor woman, Wow,
that she might face jail time. That shows you how
screwed up our criminal justice system has become. That's a
great story. Thank you so much, Jacqueline Carl in Chicago.
There is now support for Donald Trump to please send
the National Guard, not from city hall, of course, and
not from the governor, but from the streets here for yourself. Next,
(19:11):
and let me talk about the CC wi Fi three,
the best radio ever built. If you struggle with getting
good reception in your home, Sea Crane's cc wi Fi
three Internet radio is the solution. Here's why the cc
WiFi three is so special. The audio is better, of
course than any smartphone in the world for listening to
(19:33):
internet radio. And you can listen to my show it
sounds like I'm sitting on the table right across from you.
It has all of the best radio stations from all
over the United States and all over the world for
your discovery. And you won't have to sign up for

(19:55):
size remote control as well, so you can change stations
from across the room, just like you do with your TV.
It has superior reception for a much greater distance from
your WiFi rouder. And listen to this this week. If
you purchase this week the end the cc WiFi three,
you're gonna receive ten dollars off. That's ten dollars off
(20:18):
your purchase of the CC wi Fi three. So to
order the CC WiFi three and receive your ten dollars off,
call ccrane at eight hundred five two two eight eight
sixty three. Once again, that's eight hundred five two two
eight eight sixty three, or you can visit c crane
online at ccrane dot com. That's c c r A
(20:42):
n E dot com. I don't care if you love
Donald Trump or you hate Donald Trump. The one thing
you have to admit he is brilliant at manipulating the media.
I have never seen anything like this. So he had
these peace talks with Putin, thought they were going to
(21:03):
go really well. It seemed like we were going to
have the ceasefire, and then we didn't, and all hell
broke loose. And so what does he do. He sends
the National Guard into Washington, d C. Completely changed the narrative.
Nobody's talking about anything else. I mean very few people
even talking about the tariffs, not about Russia, not about Israel, nothing.
(21:28):
All anybody seems to be focused on now is crime
and the success that he had in Washington DC. And
he's put all of these governors and all of these
mayors backtracking now and following what he did without inviting
him in. He also put the Democratic Party on the
(21:53):
other side of this issue, making it look like Donald crime.
Donald Trump is for law and order and all the
Democrats in the country are against it. It is remarkable
how good he is at working the media. And it's
(22:14):
funny because most of the people in the media hate him,
and yet they are so easily manipulated by everything he does.
Right now, it is the issue since the takeover. That's
all they're talking about in Chicago, that's all they're talking about.
In LA that's all they're talking about, up and down California,
and in New York it's crime, crime, crime, crime, crime,
(22:37):
And now everybody has to worry about it. All these
Democratic politicians that are responsible for the problems now have
to answer for that. And so Brandon Johnson his approval numbers,
the mayor of Chicago, his approval numbers are plumbting and
(22:59):
he's still out there on the wrong side of the issue.
Speaker 10 (23:04):
We are being targeted because of what and who we represent.
Mister President, do not come to Chicago.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
I'm willing to go to Chicago, which has a big trouble,
but we have a governor that refuses to admit he
has problems.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Now, who comes out on top In those three sound bites,
you had the mayor, you had the governor, and you
had Donald Trump. You had Brandon saying don't come here,
our people don't want you. And then you had printser
threatening him. And then you had Donald Trump reasonably saying,
you know, I'd like to come there, I'd like to
go fight crime. He comes off like the hero in
(23:41):
all of this, and the people of Chicago there is
an uprising there in every one of the local stations.
They're leading with this, and what they lead with are
people on the streets saying, what are you talking about.
The crime is awful, We need the National Guard, we
(24:03):
need the takeover too.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
I don't see a reduction in crime. I see crime everywhere.
Speaker 8 (24:08):
We've got a lot of challenges. We've especially had a
lot of challenges last five years.
Speaker 10 (24:12):
It's a good thing that Trump is doing something.
Speaker 6 (24:14):
About the crime rates.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
And it's funny because Brandon Marshall has been, i mean,
Brandon Johnson has been trying to make this about race,
that Donald Trump is just coming in there because he's
going after black people. But almost all the people who
are speaking out are from black organizations saying no, and
(24:38):
they're now wearing MAGA hats.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
We need to invite President Trump in, we invite the
National Guard in. You know, we've had two hundred and
fifty four desks in two hundred and thirty three days.
Eighty percent of those have been black boys. And for
anyone in our community to say that things are getting
better and that people are safe, that is an outright lie.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah, it is an outright lie. And the only thing
that makes sense is that it's because Donald Trump is
saying it. Donald Trump's the one making this offer. But
I'm telling you it's pervasive. It's every go look at
the Chicago stations on YouTube. Every one of them is
leading with the residents that are upset that their leadership
(25:22):
won't get help in fighting crime.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
The National Guard has to come here, even if it's
for a scare attack.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
They have to come here.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
There's no control, there's no law and order.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah. There's a woman named Melanie Trust who runs an
organization of women against crime, and she has been really
outspoken and one of the people way out on front
in this. And she's upset with the governor, and she's
upset with Brandon and she can't believe that the governor
walked along the lake shore saying how wonderful it is
(25:57):
and that there's no crime. And look, I feel say,
he walked along the safest road in Chicago and he
had a security team with him.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Walk down seventy ninth Street, walk down Chicago Avenue, walk
down Central Avenue where I live, and then tell me
that you feel the same way.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yeah. And the thing is, that's what I was saying
in the beginning. Donald Trump knew this was all going
to happen. Donald Trump is playing the Democrats and putting
them on the wrong side of an issue again before
the midterms. This is all anybody's talking about across the
country right now. And there was a great article in
(26:40):
Politico about this that Donald Trump is baiting the Democrats
and they just keep taking the bait. I would contend
that it's not about winning this.
Speaker 10 (26:50):
Fight, it's about the fight itself.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
He wants to be the one to tell voters I'm
tough on crime. What are you going to do?
Speaker 8 (26:57):
And what Democrats are doing right now is saying, oh,
you don't have the authority in crime is down.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
That doesn't resonate with people.
Speaker 10 (27:03):
You have to have specific solutions about how you're going
to protect their communities.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
And have you seen Donald Trump. He's loving this narrative.
The Republicans of the party that wants to stop crime,
we're against crime. The Democrats like crime. I don't know why.
I mean, we talk.
Speaker 7 (27:22):
About common sense.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
I think I got elected on talking about common sense. Yeah,
he did close the border, very simple things. Close the border,
bring prices down, make America more wealthy than it's ever been,
and fight crime. That's it, real little common sense things
that the Democrats failed on, every one of them. These
(27:48):
midterms are going to be just fascinating. And by the way,
everybody is playing for the midterms right now. Hey, things
are looking up for Penn Station, but Newark Airports still
having the same old problems. Will fill you in on
the latest. Next. We all remember that one teacher, right,
the one who made a difference, who believed in us,
(28:10):
challenged us, or just made learning fun. Well, now is
your chance to say thank you to them in a
big way. With iHeartRadio's FANKA Teacher powered by Donor's Choice,
you can nominate an outstanding public school teacher, one who
was gone above and beyond for their students for a
chance to win five thousand dollars and they can stock
(28:31):
their classroom then with whatever they need. Teachers like our
teacher of the day, Valerie Haig, who teaches at North
Arlington High School in New Jersey. The people who nominated
her told us that Valerie contributes a sense of community
and philanthropy via scholarship donations to the district that she
attended herself, that she sent her daughters to, and as
(28:54):
taught at now for twenty five years. Help us say
thank you to the educator shaping our future just like Valerie.

Natalie Vaka, who is on a much needed vacation. Chris,
(29:16):
have you ever read the asella? I have not, No, never, no. Oh.
You need to at least one time. It's it's wonderful.
I love the assella. I used to have to go
down a lot when I was working at a Jersey
TV station because we were lobbying the FCC and senators
and congressmen to give us a primary cable position along
(29:38):
with all the local stations. It didn't go anywhere, but
I was down there all the time, and when I
got on the Ascella, I thought, Man, this is like heaven.
It's selling so much nicer than the other trains and
so much faster than the other trains. And now there's
a brand new Assella, and the brand new Assella is
getting rave reviews. It came in to Penn Station from
(30:02):
Washington for the first time yesterday.
Speaker 7 (30:04):
They told us there was some sort of frequency issue
with the airport, and we just kept starting.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
That was not the Acella rider.
Speaker 9 (30:11):
It's gorgeous. It's such luxury compared to the old train,
kind of compared to an airplane because I fly a lot.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
It is gorgeous, super smooth. Yeah, it was beautiful. That's
three different riders. They just raved about it. Now it
goes faster than the old Acilla and so they don't
exactly know what to do at Amtrak. They have to
wait and see if they have to reschedule trains, if
they have to put in different departures and arrivals depending
(30:40):
on how fast the train is.
Speaker 10 (30:42):
Because it's ten miles an hour faster than we're able
to go with the current legacy fleet.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
But We're going to see how all this plays out.
We're not going to see a lot of schedule change
to start. So anyway, there's twenty eight new trains coming
to Amtrak, which is just wonderful. And there's to be
a brand new station Union Station down in Washington. There's
gonna be a brand new station Trump Station. It's not
(31:08):
named that yet, but it seems like it's going that
way in New York. And then you're gonna have these
brand new luxury trains. It's gonna be wonderful and it's
gonna be a lot better than what's going on at
Newark Liberty International Airport. Remember we thought we had the
problems all ironed out. Remember they got those optic fibers
(31:30):
and random from Philadelphia where they put the hub. This
is under Biden did this put the hub of an
air traffic control in Philadelphia to run Newark International Airport
And then there was all kinds of problems there and
they worked over a weekend with Verizon to get new
fibers in. Well, apparently there is still problems.
Speaker 7 (31:51):
Story four there or two.
Speaker 9 (31:52):
If you hear this transitionency from my frequency one three
two point.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Eight and acknowledge by again, I'm not hearing anything. You're responsive.
They weren't hearing anything. They were not able to communicate
with one plane in particular coming in from Europe, and
over and over again they try. It was over a
half hour, almost an hour.
Speaker 12 (32:15):
I advise the frequencies are unreliable.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
And there's the comma the island frequencies that are unreliable.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
You know, how about that air traffic controller, same old,
same old. They're just getting they're getting used to this, unfortunately.
And just imagine all of those passengers that were just
circling Newark Airport.
Speaker 7 (32:37):
They told us there was some sort of frequency issue
with the airport, and we just kept circling and circling,
probably for about an hour.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Yeah, and at one point they announced to them, imagine this.
Imagine making your big trip, right, you pay for this
big trip, and and you're coming in to see families
or relatives or to sight see in New York, and
then you hear this as you're circling the airport wondering
what's going on.
Speaker 11 (33:05):
We're in the plane, and then they were saying that
we needed to keep circling for like thirty twenty minutes.
And then if they didn't figure anything out. Then we
had to fly to Allentown and wait there.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
It was your big trip to New York and then
you end up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, a little bit different.
It's a lot different. But they landed and everything is fine.
But they still have problems with the airport, so you
might expect delays over the weekend. Carl Rove says Elise
Staphonic will be able to beat Kathy Hokeel on the
(33:38):
crime issue alone that's coming up after the seven o'clock
