Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here's nenty in the morning on sevent ten.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Wr Its going to be a really nice day today,
but tomorrow's going to be a mess. As Ray Stagic
just said, it's going to be really hot with a
heat index of one hundred and four, so it's only
going to last really for a day. It's going to
be warm the next several days, but it's gonna last
for a day. It's just a reminder though, to be
really careful tomorrow. You know, uh, the outside works probably
(00:27):
not a good idea, especially for an extended period of time.
And also you want to check on people that you
know may be affected, especially somebody elderly, but just to
make sure they have air conditioning and everything will be okay.
It's just going to be really, really hot and humid.
It's not going to be comfortable in the Big three
(00:50):
Columbia caves, and agrees to pay two hundred and twenty
million dollars to resolve an investigation and accusations by the
Trump administration into the Universe Cities anti Semitic policies. I
know the university and the president, Claire Shipman Is, who
I'm impressed with, has been taking a lot of heat
(01:10):
on this today, there's many editorials out saying they surrendered
and they made it difficult for other universities. It was brilliant.
It was absolutely brilliant, and I am so impressed by
this woman, and I'm going to talk more about that
in a moment. A man making bombs on a soho
rooftop and plane sight is arrested. The question now is
(01:32):
what was he planning to do with all those bombs.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
What we do know, and one thing that the public
should be reassured by is that the tools that we
use to apprehend don't require us to know what the
intent is. If you're engaging in this behavior and taking
these actions, if you're making bombs, we don't really care
who you intend to target and who you don't. We're
(01:56):
going to make sure that you can't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
We have Michael sapracoan security expert and retired NYPD detective,
up to talk about this at seven thirty five. Well,
the race for New York governor has become a little clearer,
and as we speculated, Republican Congressman Mike Lawler's decision not
to run for governor came with a little nudge from
(02:18):
Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
He did you know offer that he obviously wanted me
to stay in Congress and how important my seat is
to the House majority. I weighed that as I made
my decision, but ultimately this was my decision.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, two things are going on here, and I'm sure
that some deal may have been made, but two things
are going on here. The Republicans can't afford to lose
seats in Congress. It's a slim majority right now, and
they need Lawler to stay in and run. And Trump
seems to be clearing the field as well for a
lease to phonic. We have to get Bruce Blakeman back
on the air, coming up to find out what his
(02:55):
plans are, although he's running for reelection so he probably
won't even talk about that right now. The facade of
some storefronts collapse in Queens on a busy day.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
I thought a bomb went off, honestly, honest to god,
I thought a bomb went off.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Incredibly, only three injuries. One man was trapped under the
rubble and a lot of people rushed over to save him.
He's okay now. He was rushed to the hospital. Two
children also taken to the hospital, were hurt, but they're
okay as well. In Idaho, Brian Coburger is sentenced to
life without parole for the killing of four college students,
(03:34):
and the families finally got to have their say in court,
and they spoke directly to Coburger.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
May you continue to live your life in misery. You
are officially the property of the state of Idaho, where
your fellow inmates are anxiously awaiting your arrival. But it's
okay because they're there to help you. Hell will be waiting.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
And now we have two competing scandal's. First Obamagate with
classified documents showing the Obama administration colluded to push the
Russian collusion hoax to try to hurt the upcoming President
Donald Trump.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
This is truly one of the greatest political scandals in
American history. And reporters at legacy outlets, some of which
are sitting in this room today, like The New York
Times in the Washington Post, were ridiculously awarded Politzer Prizes
for their perpetuation of this hoax. It's well pastime for
those awards to be stripped from the journalists who received them.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, that really gets me. There was a huge investigation
by Robert Muller that costs forty million dollars that showed
there was no collusion with the Trump campaign, no evidence.
After interviewing hundreds of people and looking at hundreds of
documents and other evidence, they said, no, there's no collusion.
(04:56):
And the New York Times and the Washington Post reported
that they're isn't there somebody? Isn't there a board who
gives this award? That poets are? Who are the people
that gave them this award? That aren't there right now
to rescind it? If an article or a series of articles,
(05:20):
or an investigation, an alleged investigation or alleged sources who
turned out to all be compromised, are giving you information
and you print it, and then you get a pulleter
for that, and they find out all the information is false,
they don't show up and pull that from you. I'm
telling you what the Pulitzer Prize means nothing, nothing unless
(05:43):
they deal with this problem. It is an enormous problem.
And I don't know what they're thinking in not dealing
with this, because are they just as liberal as the
New York Times and just as liberal and they're so
biased that they can't say, hey, we were wrong. I
(06:05):
think it helps them their credibility. Doesn't hurt them by
not doing it, it destroys their credibility. And even though
Congress is going on a five week recess, that doesn't
mean the congressional call for release of the Epstein files
are going away.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
So if anybody thinks that this is going to go
away because the house left the day earlier or something,
that's got to be like those zombies in The Walking Dead.
Every time you think you've killed it, another one's just
going to come running out of the closet after you.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
All Right, I'm going to start off with a couple
of local stories, especially Columbia. That's a really big deal.
And I'm sure all the other universities, including Harvard that
are being investigated, are thinking, oh no, this is the
worst thing that could happen to us. But Claire Shipman,
since she's been in as I guess she's still interim president,
(06:57):
I think of Harvard, she is. She has been stellar.
She's handled everything appropriately, everything extremely well. When the library
was taken over, she gave some rope and then they
moved in, and she's suspended or expelled seventy anti Semites
(07:19):
who were involved in the protests there and involved in
intimidating Jewish students. So now she's facing this investigation, and
she knows how this could end, and she knows how
it's going to play out, So let's play it out
what she avoided. There's going to be story after story
after story of this investigation. There's probably gonna be a
(07:41):
congressional hearing. She's going to have Jewish students getting up
there talking about how afraid they were. She's going to
have to get up there. They're going to go after
the university. It's going to look really bad. You remember
what happened to some of the other presidents when they
got up there. The University of Pennsylvania president was thrown
out the university. The Harvard's president was chucked out because
(08:08):
they were horrible. They were awful, they were robots, They
were told what to say by lawyers, and at least
Stephonic just took them apart. Do you think Claire Shipman
wants to go through that. You know how much that
would hurt the university. So everybody says, oh wow, it's
two hundred million dollars. Though, man, that's a lot of money.
(08:30):
She's saving billions over the next few years in federal
funds because that was part of the deal. The investigation
stops all that horrible publicity that's going to kill enrollment,
is all going to stop the Columbia University. What everybody's
forgets in this whole deal, they're all talking about the money.
Columbia University is now going to be safe. There's a
(08:55):
whole new policy in place. There's not gonna be any
of these protests anymore, not on campus especially, there's no
taking over the library. They're going to move right in.
And there are new policies just to make it feel
safer for Jewish students who they were ignoring in this
whole thing and just worrying about the rights of anti
(09:18):
Semites and people who were here from other countries on visas.
That's who they were caring about. Now now they are
forced to care about anti Semites. And Claire Shipman played
this perfectly. Now all the attention after today, all the
attention is off her. Now it's on Harvard, now, it's
(09:39):
on NYU, now it's on other universities. So kudos to
her for handling this. I know it's a tough pill
to swallow, but they admitted no guilt, none, none, whatsoever,
and they paid two hundred and twenty million, and they
make back four hundred million for this year and over
(10:00):
four hundred million for next year, and then it goes
on and on and on and on, so we're talking
about billions. Kudos to her. It was the perfect thing
to do.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
MENTI in the money.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Hey how are you? Thanks so much for your talkbacks,
And every time you send us a talkback, you're in
the running to win a limited edition Manti in the
Morning T shirt, which is highly coveted. People have shown
up trying to get one, just begging for one, and no, no, no.
The only way you can get one is if you
are chosen by the Academy as the talkback of the morning.
(10:37):

crane radio with legendary reception. I have two at home

you will too. Thanks so much for your talkbacks. If
(11:00):
you want to leave one, just go to the iHeartRadio app.
Look for seven to ten wl R, click the microphone
and leave your message.
Speaker 8 (11:06):
You know, I just don't understand why is everybody screaming
and crying about Colbert. I mean, this show was lousy,
it was losing money. I really can't believe that the
Democrats need that voice, they need that program at night.
It's not helping them anyway, So why are they so
(11:28):
upset about it? It's so ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, that's so good. It goes right into my next topic.
And also, I love that you call him Colbert. I
think I'm gonna call him that from now on too. No, No,
he has a French affectation. It's Colbert. You have to
call him Stephen Colbert, Stefan Colbert. Let's call him that anyway.
You know, you're right, there's been so much whining about
(11:55):
Stephen Colbert getting canceled. This happens all of the time.
They believe it's all political. It's because of his political views.
It probably has a lot more to do that he
was losing between forty million and fifty million dollars a year.
That probably had a little thinking bit to do with it.
Networks really don't like shows that don't make money, and
(12:21):
this one was not making money. And it's not just him.
It seems like Late Night is dying across the board,
David Letterman, all the talk show hosts are rallying around.
You know, it's a limited bunch, but Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel,
you know Colbert, They're all Myers and even David Letterman. Now,
(12:41):
I thought that David Letterman would be really upset, and
I thought he might be upset by Stephen Colbert. I
didn't know that they were really good friends. And because
Letterman invented this time slot, you know, the show that
came on after Carson, the late late night slot, he
(13:03):
invented that. He moved on from there and got on
earlier on CBS. But that was that was special when
David Letterman was on there, and man was he funny.
But he put out a message and it's a montage
of the many times he had roasted his own network
(13:23):
over the years. And then he captioned the video of
him saying this with you can't spell CBS without BS.
And what's really funny is I think that there must
be a settlement going on between Stephen Colbert and CBS.
Because Stephen Colbert came out and said, while I'm a
(13:47):
big fan of me, I don't necessarily agree with your statement.
So ooh, Stephen, Colbert is being railed in just a
little bit, but that doesn't stop him from lying because
he claims he has the best ratings of all the
late night talk shows. And that's just a lie. You
(14:10):
know why, because he's so biased biased, he's not including
Fox News and the Colbert Show. And Colbert gets three
point one million people a night. I'm talking about no, no, no,
hold on, let me correct myself. Colbert gets one point
(14:31):
nine million people a night. Gutfeld gets three point one
million people a night, and he thought he would point
that out.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
You know, I just don't understand why is everybody screaming
and crying about Colbert?
Speaker 2 (14:46):
I mean this show, I played that guy again, but
he was so good. He's in the running. I'll play
you what Gutfeld has to say, coming up back to
Minty in the morning on woor I give up. I'll
tell you what maga. People, If this is the hill
you want to die on, fine, because it's not going away.
(15:08):
The Epstein files and you are the ones that are
pushing it. Far right Republicans who want to die on
this hill, they won't. And it's a small number of
actual Republicans. All the polls show that his approval rating
among Republicans during this whole mess has gone up. So
it's the people on social media and the people that
(15:31):
want clicks and the people that have podcasts, and they
want to get their podcasts on the national news. And so,
you know, God bless you and knock yourself out. But
if it wasn't for you, this story might go away.
And if it wasn't for you, the Democrats wouldn't have
jumped on this. They never cared about this before ever
last administration. They didn't bring it up once. They didn't
(15:55):
care about the Epstein files. But now that they have something,
because now they have the vote, they have the Republicans
in the Senate, and they have Republicans in the House
who also are following the social media crowd and saying, no, no, no,
this is important to me. We have to release the
Epstein files. So the Democrats have now joined them, knowing
that the Republicans have such a slim majority, they can
(16:16):
force the Epstein files to be released. They can force
they can pass legislation to get this done. So it's
not going away. And you know, I hope you're all
happy about that, because you're the ones that fueled this. Yeah,
you have that kind of power. You have that kind
(16:38):
of power. It's a small minority of Republicans, and now
you have the Democrats all lining up and demanding the files.
It's incredible. It's incredible that this is happening. This is
such a huge political story, and I've been trying to
say it from the moment it happened. Do you know
(16:59):
what you're doing. You're gonna hurt this presidency. Everybody's talking
about Epstein, right. He just signed a historic trade deal
with Japan, the biggest ever with Japan. It's gonna bring
more money to this country, an investment than has ever
happened in past trade deals with Japan. As a matter
of fact, we were always on the short end of
(17:20):
that deal. Not anymore. But that's all right. Epstein, Epstein,
Epstein's he had this AI summit last night. He's investing.
He's got billions of dollars from around the world being
invested so that we can be the AI leader in
the world. And nope, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, border secure crime
is down. I mean, I can go through the litany
(17:44):
all of this stuff, but you want to kill him
on Epstein. All right, that's fine, that's your choice, but
understand what's happening. There are some people in this fight
that really I do respect. Tom Tillis is one of them.
Tom Tillis is from North Carolina, and he just seems
(18:06):
like a good man, and he is saying that he
wants this Epstein. He got in trouble, if you remember,
with the Big Beautiful Bill, and he was willing to
give up his career over the Big Beautiful Bill because
he is a deficit hawk and he didn't want to
(18:26):
add to the deficit. That was it. But he was
willing to die on that hill. And now he's willing
to die on the hill for the Epstein files because
what they were trying to do is take this five
week recess now so that it would never come up.
And he said, he said, basically, are you paying attention?
That's not going to work.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
So if anybody thinks that this is going to go
away because the house left the day earlier or something,
it's got to be like those zombies in the Walking Dead.
Every time you think you've killed it, another one's just
going to come running out of the closet after you.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Yeah, no, it's going to come back as well. And look,
the Trump people just had a defeat in the courts
in Florida when they said, no, you can't have the
Grand Jewelry testimony. Now there's another court involved, you know,
Now you have to go to New York to see
and that's that's actually more important. And so New York
might do it because it's a more liberal court. But
(19:19):
we'll find out. Also Burkett, who is in the house
from Tennessee, you know, he's a he's a good old boy,
lots of MAM's you know, goes to church all the time.
He is, Uh, he's another guy I respect, and he's
not giving up.
Speaker 9 (19:37):
I want to know the chain, I want to know
the money. I want to know the people involved. And
all gloves are off and but I do warm people though.
Just because somebody's on a travelogue does not Maine a
they're a pedophile. If somebody's plane breaks down, somebody knows
Epstein and then they got a friend that gets on
the plane with him. Doesn't you know, nobody knew this
guy was a big a dirt bag as he was
until the last few years. Do y'all broke the story that's.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
A great point. There's gonna be names in here, and
the names will be slimed simply because they are in
the Epstein files. And that doesn't mean they slept with
underage girls. It just means they grabbed flights. They were
friends with them, as we found out from the Wall
Street Journal. Donald Trump's Name's in there several times. Oh boy,
(20:20):
they broke into CNN, they broke into MSNBC breaking news,
and they talked about it for hours. It doesn't mean anything.
We all knew he was on the flight log. We
all knew he was friends with him. I want to
get back to Tim Burkeett for a second, because he
believes in this so much. He is willing, like Tom Tillis,
to give up his job.
Speaker 9 (20:41):
It's gonna cost me at the ballot box. It's gonna
cost me financially. It's going to be tough to raise
money if this thing when people start getting after me
on it. But you know, I'm I'm a big boy man.
I gotta take it. So and this is something I
didn't ask for, but I but I'm very I'm very
(21:02):
passionate about this issue, ma'am. I just leave it at that.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Yeah, So I don't understand it. I don't understand it,
but I respect it. And so I know a lot
of you are passionate about it. And if you really
are that passionate, if you believe this is that important
to the country, and you know Donald Trump's presidency be damned,
then I have to respect that too. I don't agree
(21:26):
with it at all, but I certainly have to respect it.
And so leave us a talkback. You go to seven
to ten WOR on the iHeartRadio app and tell us
how you feel about it. In the meantime, more classified
documents are released showing how the Obama administration pushed false
intelligence information to hurt Donald Trump, which means another day
(21:50):
that the legacy media ignores or attacks this story. But
we won't. We'll talk about it next. The iHeartRadio app
now has presets said one to wor to hear Larry
Live and another to hear his podcast anytime.
Speaker 7 (22:06):
Now.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Back to Miny in the morning on woor Well, I
have sat some people. Talkbacks are coming in and they're
not happy with me at all. Still coming in, Natalie, Yeah,
this is they have something to say today, and man,
I'll play them. I don't hide from the criticism, That's fine,
(22:29):
I'll talk to you about it. Look, and I have
been even though somebody says I was a hypocrite, I've
been consistent on this. You can look at the past commentaries.
You can look on Instagram at the video I did that.
I got slammed with that too. I just don't think.
I don't think this is the most important issue. Would
(22:50):
I like to see the finals released yet? Of course
I would like to see it, but not at the
political cost right now. Not if it's going to mean
that we hurt the next three year of Donald Trump's administration.
Not if it means that he's going to be in
court all the time because you're need to be sued
by anybody that's on that list, and you didn't sleep
(23:11):
with an underage girl. I mean, I get it. I
get why people want it released. If there was no
political ramifications, if I could think the economy's going to
be fined and the border and the Democrats aren't going
to win the midterms, and and I'd say yes, absolutely,
but the political consequences of this are just far too great.
(23:35):
Do you want to lose the mid terms over this?
That's why I kept saying, do you want to die
on this hill. Do you want to lose the mid
terms over this? Because it's going to take It'll be
covered by the media ad nauseam when the names are released,
and I just don't think that's the story. He's had
so many successes right now, you can list it off.
(23:55):
The world's a better place in the United States is
a better place because of Donald Trump, and this is
something the Democrats have been looking for. You should just
look around who's with you on this if you want
them released. All the Democrats who never cared before are
with you on this because they see the political ramifications
of it. Anyway, we'll play the talkbacks, and that's what
(24:19):
Natalie's looking at me like. We'll save this exactly until
other people talk about it. Here's what you should be
talking about.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
The implications of this are far reaching and have to
do with the integrity of our democratic republic. It has
to do with an outgoing president taking action to manufacture
intelligence to undermine and usurp the will of the American
people in that election and launch what would be a
year's long coup against the incoming president of the United States,
(24:50):
Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Tulsey Gabbard released all of these formerly classified documents of
the Obama administration tried to hide that shows they were
behind the whole Russian collusion mess. They were the ones
that were behind this, And you don't think that's a
(25:11):
bigger story. That's what I want, that's the investigation. I
want all the focus to be on that right now.
But instead the Democrats get away with saying, oh, it's ridiculous,
this is all made up. The media does the same thing.
You know who had CNN had on last night to
debunk all of this. Andrew McCabe. Andrew McCabe who left
(25:35):
his job as deputy FBI director. They hired him as
deputy FBI director in shame over this very story. What's
he gonna say, Oh no, no, no, there's nothing to this.
It's ridiculous. So that's what he got out and said.
And even some of the mega people they're ignoring this
(25:58):
because it's Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein. That's what I was
saying when I said, do you want to die on
this hill? Keep your eye on the prize. This was
a big problem which is being ignored, a huge scandal
which is being ignored over Epstein. So you can keep
(26:18):
the media focus and you can play into what the
media wants, you can play into the Democrats want. But
I think you're making a huge mistake anyway. While everybody
in the media obsesses on Epstein, Donald Trump just keeps
getting deals done. Will more countries make a deal before
next week's deadline? We'll ask wl R. White House corresponded
John Decker coming up
