Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
We have an extended Big Three on this rainy day.
The Republicans passed Donald Trump's big beautiful bill in the
middle of the night.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
On this vote, the a's are two seventeen and as
are two hundred and twelve.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
The resolution is adopted without objection. Motion reconsider is laid
upon the table. You knew they wanted to get away
from Memorial Day. You knew they weren't going to let
this go for a couple of more days. We'll talk
more about the bill coming up. In the meantime, Andrew
Cuomo strikes back against the DOJ that is investigating him
for lying to Congress about COVID deaths and nursing homes.
(00:36):
He seems like he's welcoming the charges because even put
on an ad he's running against Trump on the charges,
not against the other candidates. He's running against Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
An experienced leader will stand up the bullets, bring New
York back and deliver for the people of this city.
If Donald Trump doesn't want Andrew Cuomo's mayor.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
You do.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, there's no question that Cuomo camp sees this as
a political win. You would think being investigated by the
DOJ would be a bad thing not to Andrew Cuomo
when he's running for mayor in this city. New York
Attorney General Letitia James, who said the mortgage fraud charges
against her were political, well now she says it was
(01:18):
just a mistake.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
It's major fraud, mortgage documents and fraudulent everything. I think
she said the father was her husband, which she had
to have a husband, or she chose her father.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Now she's saying that was just an accident. All the
mistakes she made on those forms, they were just silly,
little mistakes that made her a lot of money. A
deadly act of anti Semitism in the nation's capital, a
Jewish Jewish couple about to be engaged are gunned down
at the Capitol Jewish Museum, where they were going to
(01:54):
attend an event.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
The young man purchased a ring this week with the
intention of proposing to his girlfriend next week in Jerusalem.
They were a beautiful couple who came to enjoy an
evening in Washington's Cultural Center.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
As the suspect was taken away, he chanted Free Palestine,
you know, like they do at Columbia University and on
the streets of New York. Newer Congressman La Monica mcgiver
was formerly charged with assault, resisting arrest, and impeding a
federal officer after a melee at that ice facility in
(02:31):
New Jersey.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Did you see her?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
She was out of control?
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Those days are over, the days of well, the days
of who no I did? The days of wok are over.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
That woman I don't.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I have no idea who she is. That woman was.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Out of control. Macgiver is due in court June eleventh
for a preliminary hearing. In the Oval Office, Donald Trump
confronts the Prime Minister of South Africa with accusations of
genocide against white farmers in his country.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
We take from many locations if we feel this persecution
or genocide going on.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
And let's start with the meeting, because it says so
much about Donald Trump, and it says so much about
the legacy media. It was a meeting that President Cyril
Ramaphosa thought he was going to get there and reset
relations with the United States. You can see he was
excited about the meeting.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
We are essentially here to reset the relationship between the
United States and South Africa.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
And Trump basically said to him, yeah, we'll see how
that goes. But there's another agenda. There's something else I
want to talk about.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
A lot of people are very concerned with regards to
South Africa, and that's really the purpose of the meeting,
and we'll see how that turns out. But we have
many people that feel they're being persecuted and they're coming.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
To the United States.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
So we take from many many locations if we feel
this persecution or genocide going on.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Right at the end of the meeting, Trump said when
he was pushed about the genocide, that this was just
what he was hearing. He doesn't know that for a fact,
but he does know that there's persecution, which the President
agreed to. But the media, and this says so much
about the media jumped on the genocide. Oh, if you
(04:23):
look at the headlines today, they are exactly the same,
exactly the same. From CNN, from NBC, from ABC, from MSNBC.
The headline on the internet is Trump m Bush's South
African president over genocide. And he did mention genocide. I'm
(04:46):
not going to but he was talking about the fact
that the farmers, the white farmers in South Africa are
being harassed, some are being killed, some are having their
taken from them. That's why so many refugees came here
last week. They were all trying to get away from that.
(05:06):
So there's not nothing going on. But if you were
to read the headlines today and the media today, you
would believe, oh, it's everything's hunky dory, everybody's getting along.
And the President of South Africa was pushing back a
little bit too.
Speaker 6 (05:24):
I would say, if that was Afrikana farmer genocide, I
can bet you these three gentlemen would not be here,
including my Minister of Agriculture, he would not be with me.
So it'll take him, President Trump, listening to their stories,
to their perspective.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Here's what's fascinating about that. One of the gentlemen he
was talking about were two white golfers, and they are
world famous golfers. Ernie Ellis, I'm sure you talked, you've
heard about, and Ratief Goosen is very good. He may
not be household name, but he's excellent. These are South
African golfers. Both of them are white, and the President
(06:06):
of South Africa knows that Donald Trump loves golf and
he wanted to make sure that he didn't just have
all black people traveling with them, so he brought these
two with them, and so he said, you can just
talk to them, talk to them, and Ratif Goosen said, well,
I have white farmers in my family and they're scared
(06:28):
to death. They are being harassed constantly, and they've heard
about other farmers being killed and they're scared to death.
So no, they're really afraid. So that backfired on him.
He brought them with him as a show of white support,
and he didn't get it. He didn't get it. They
weren't going to lie to the president. So that didn't
(06:49):
go well. But also as the President was pushing back,
Donald Trump played for him of a tape, a tape
of not only graveyards of white farmers, but of politicians
in South Africa calling for genocide, and even one being asked, well,
(07:14):
what are you going to say if they come to
you and say this is genocide? He's going to say?
He said, So, we have none out played.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
We have thousands of stories talking about it. Certainly, we
have documentaries, we have news stories, and that is Natalie here,
somebody here to turn that. I could show you a
couple of things, and I would I just I have to.
It has to be responded to.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
And then he lowered the lights. I didn't even know
who you could lower the lights in the Oval office.
Then he lowered the lights and played this video clip.
He showed them all these news stories. He wanted to
say that this is what I'm concerned about, and before
we re establish relations with South afric I want all
this addressed. And everybody in the mainstream media in this
(08:08):
country is siding with the President of South Africa. Now,
if this was Joe Biden, by the way, Joe Biden
wouldn't be able to get through this meeting. But if
it was Joe Biden, they'd be all for him. They'd
say this was brave. They said he was standing up
for human rights. But no, they all felt sorry for
the South African president. But I will tell you that
(08:31):
Siro Ramifosa held his own I thought he looked good.
Here was the president of South Africa standing up to
the President of the United States, never getting mad, never
getting angry, being reasonable. I thought both men should have
come out of this looking good and talking about an
(08:51):
important issue. But no, it was the bully Donald Trump,
because that's in a narrative going after zero Ramafosa, not
giving him any credit whatsoever for sticking up for his country,
which he did. And then the worst part is the
first question is about the cutter plane. It would be
(09:14):
acciting Aitari jets to use as a performer. What are
you talking about? You know, you to get out of here.
What does this have to do with the guitar jet?
Speaker 3 (09:27):
They're giving the United States Air Force a jet, okay,
and it's a great thing. We're talking about a lot
of other things. This NBC trying to get off the
subject of what you just saw. You are a real
you know, you're a terrible reporter.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Yeah, he went after him for a while. That was
Peter Alexander from NBC. He got a spanking. But the
media is just so awful. You have to be able
to see through this. Oh bad news. There was no
Julian Madison, Square Garden, the Knick's Magic Playoff run, hit
a wall named Halliburton, plus tickets to see the Brotherhood
(10:02):
of Rock tour at A twenty five. That's all coming up.
Welcome back. It's rainy out there, Be very careful, it's
gonna be it's gonna be chilly too. All of a sudden,
out of nowhere, the weather just completely changed. I mean,
we had some drizzles the last couple of days, but
this rain's supposed to continue right through the day, on
and off. So just be careful, especially when you're driving.
(10:25):
When I was driving in if they had those little
puddles of water, you know, and that make you skid
around a little bit sometimes, So be really careful on
the roads. There's not a lot of traffic though. That's
the nice part of everything right now, there's not a
lot of traffic. Hey listen, would love to hear from you.
If you want to leave us a talkback, go to
seven to ten wor on the iHeartRadio app. You look
(10:49):
for the talkback feature, hit the microphone and record your message.
And I want to let you know also, you know
you can call in any time you want. I don't
give the number enough. I realized that, but you can
call in anytime you want. I'll put you on the
air one eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
One eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten
about anything we've talked about and would love to talk
(11:11):
to you. Well, I've been trying to avoid talking about it.
To take of the truth. The Knicks what it was
a great game. If you were a Pacers fan, it
was an incredible game if you were a Pacers fan.
So if you don't know what happened, the Knicks were
up fourteen points and the Madison Square Garden was going crazy.
(11:33):
It was going into the fourth quarter, near the end
of end of the game, and man did the Pacers
go on a run and they tied up the game
with just some amazing play by the Pacers. They tied
up the game and it went to overtime, and in
overtime shots shot clock's running down, the Knicks are up,
(11:55):
They're up by two points. It looks like they're gonna
win game one. It's not like the blowouts that had
in the pass this year against the Pacers, but they
looked like they were going to hold on and win.
And then this happened. We'll take it the backpedal, a free.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
From the.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
And he tried to give your choke signed to the
next all. The game's not all that was so classless.
I mean, it was an amazing shot. So if you
didn't see the game, the ball hit the rim and
you thought he missed, but instead of bouncing out like
it normally does, it went straight up in the air
(12:46):
and then went in I don't think from that far out,
because he was pretty far out. I don't think I've
ever seen that happen before where you take a show,
and because usually from that far out it bounces away
from the rim, it bounces somewhere. Usually it bounces right
(13:06):
back to you off the rim somehow, I don't know.
It was like miraculous and it seemed to just hang
there for seconds. Everybody was holding their breath, thinking what's
gonna happen, and then it goes in. But then Tyressee Halliburton,
who was just classless with the whole thing. He was lucky.
(13:27):
He had a great game. He's a great player. I'm
not taking anything away from him, but he was lucky.
He was lucky that went in. And he should have
like brushed his brow and said whoof, or he just
should have celebrated. But instead he did the choke sign
and other players did the choke sign too to the
New York Knicks. And I hope this is motivation for
(13:50):
the Knicks. I hope they come out the next game
and blow them out. After the game, they you know,
they were they just wish them well. They didn't talk
about it. They seemed to they seem to put this
behind them. They were depressed. I mean, they just blew
this game. They had this game won. But ty Reese Halliburton,
do you know anything about him? By the way, Chris
(14:11):
is and Natalie's not feeling well, so Chris is in
for Natalie. Do you know anything about Halliburton?
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Yeah, he's very good. He was on team USA for
the Olympics last year.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I know he's a great player. He didn't he didn't.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Play on the Olympic team at all, but he was
on the team. So he's very good.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I know he's a great player. I get that. Is
he a jerk? Does he have this type of reputation
he likes.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
To antagonize the opposing fans. I think, I think that's
the nice way to put it.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
But this was like do you see the shot? I
know I didn't see.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
This is one of the times I'm I'm happy that
we have to go to bed soor really, yeah, I
don't get to watch these games because if I stayed
up late to watch this game last night, I'd be
very upset right now.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
No, I hear you. And the thing is this was
so mad. This Knicks run was so much magic. I mean,
they took out Boston. Nobody thought that was gonna happen.
They took out Boston. Not only did they do it,
they did it in pretty dramatic fashion, and they blew
them out a couple of times. They were just the
better team. And you know, there are teams every single
(15:18):
year in every sport. And I know you're a big
hockey fan, this happens in every sport. There are teams
that get hot at right the right time. And that
seemed like it was gonna be the next And that's
why everybody was excited for this first game. Everybody going
into this first game thought, oh my god, they're gonna
roll through the Pacers and then they're gonna go out
and take on the Western Conference winner. And this is
an NBA. You just felt it. People felt it. Well
(15:41):
now they don't feel that anymore.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
That was definitely the flating yesterday. I think it would
have been better. They just got blown out yesterday. But
to lose like that, it's not good.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yeah, it's like a it's it's like a spike in
the heart, you know what I mean. It's just it
just it takes you. You praised it perfectly. It's because
of the way they lost. It takes all the wind
out of your sales. Now. Look, I hope that the
Madison Square Garden and I'm sure it's going to be well,
it's a playoff game, it's going to be is packed.
(16:13):
But I also hope it's rocking. I hope this team
gets a standing ovation when they come out. I hope
everybody is behind the Knicks because they need your support
now more than ever. Don't let them feel deflated. Let
them come down on to that court and know you
expect them to win, and you not only do you
(16:34):
want them to win, you just know they're going to
and they can use that support. And I know I've
seen Madison Square Garden. I've been the Madison Square Garden.
I know what Knicks fans are like. They're going to
be there for them. So but they really need you
this time because that was a heartbreaker. It was a heartbreaker.
And you know I've played before, certainly not at this level,
(16:54):
but I've played in some big games before, and it
can just take it can just take the win out
of your sales. And you start questioning yourself and you
start doubting yourself and how did you let that happen?
And maybe we're not as good as we thought. But
you let them know none of that is true by
giving them a resounding and be outside, you know for
(17:16):
game two. Be outside, make it like the biggest game
of the year, because you know what it is. Now,
let's get to Jacqueline Carl for the six thirty News. Jacqueline, Hey, Larie.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Good morning.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
President Trumps so called Big Beautiful Bill is moving past
the House Rules Committee. The panel voted eight four to
advance the measure, which included last minute changes designed to
appease both moderates and conservatives who withheld support from the legislation.
It will now head to the House floor. And three
men convicted of drugging and robbing men in Manhattan gay bars,
(17:49):
resulting in the deaths of two men, are being sentenced
to decades behind bars. Ja Kwon Hamilton, Robert Demayo, and
Jacob Arrosco were found guilty in February of murder, burglary,
and other charges. Prosecutors say in twenty twenty one and
twenty twenty two, the trio preyed on drunk men at
gay nightclubs and drugged them with concoctions that included fentanyl,
(18:10):
leaving them unconscious before taking their phones. They would then
use face ID to unlock the phones and gain access
to their accounts, stealing thousands of dollars. Two of the victims,
Julio Ramirez and John Umberger, died. Borosko got twenty years
for Ramirez's death, while Hamilton and Demayo were each sentenced
to forty years for both murders. Kristen Marks wr news.
(18:31):
All right, Larry, don't ever tell me women aren't tough
and aren't the ones to get it done.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Listen to this story.
Speaker 7 (18:36):
According to local twenty one news, the breaking news on
the CBSS, the CBS six morning show in Schenectady, New York,
yesterday was actually water breaking news. Anchor Olivia Jaquet went
into labor just as the show was set to begin,
and she still continued with the broadcast, even though her
mail co anchor probably.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Makes more money than she does. I am a hid
that part. I did it. I went there.
Speaker 7 (19:02):
Jackie somehow managed to stay calm, cool and collected while
finishing the show and then left the studio to tend
to clearly more pressing responsibilities.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
Now.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
I wonder if this was her first baby, because it
seems once all my friends once they have their first baby,
they're way more chill about the next ones.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Has that been your experience there? Oh yes, well I've
had four kids, not me personally, but you know my
wife had those four kids, and uh yeah no. I
I think I think every single time they were nobody panicked.
That nobody. You know, you can panic though there's reasons
to panic. But I am stunned at this story because
(19:40):
I don't think. I don't think it's a good idea
to stay there after your water breaks. I mean, I
know you have time. I know you have time, but
I got a feeling they would understand if you said, hey,
my water just broke, I think I better get to
the hospital. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (19:55):
Well, I just say I like, when I read this,
I'm like, I feel like this isn't her first child,
or even maybe second, because my friends their first ones,
they'd be like, everybody's crazy raising to the hospital, and
then after that they'd be like, no, stop it in
an outburger, stop here, I want to see before I
go in. And some got in the bathtub and relaxed
for a while and their husbands were losing their minds.
So I think this is Olivia's second or third, but
(20:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Probably, But you know what, you gotta be careful because
the baby decides. You don't get to decide when the
baby's coming. The baby can come right out. It can
happen pretty quickly.
Speaker 7 (20:29):
It has breaking news.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, that's right, that would be amazing. Yeah, it's quite
a story. Great for ratings. Thanks a lot, Jacqueline carl
Andrew Cuomo is being investigated, a newer congressman is charged,
and US Attorney General of New York pleads it was
all a mistake. Whoops. All Democrats. By the way, Welcome
(20:52):
to New York and New Jersey politics. We'll talk about
it all next and do you want to add to
the conversation, leave us a talkback. Go to set wor
and the iHeartRadio app and click the microphone and when
you're there, put seven to ten WOOR on your presets.
It'll make it a lot easier to listen and find us. Plus,
you could win a limited edition MENTI in the Morning
(21:15):
T shirt, which will be awarded each day to our
favorite talkback of the day. No thing says as much
about New York and New Jersey politics is what has
happened in the last month We have a congresswoman in
New Jersey who's hit with three federal charges over assaulting
(21:36):
an officer and impeding the arrest of the mayor of
New York. You have Letitia James, and this is the
kind of stuff you can't make up. Who went after
Donald Trump for mortgage fraud and now we find out
that well, allegedly she's being charged with making with committing
(21:57):
morging mortgage fraud herself. Yeah, and mortgage fraud with several
ways of mortgage fraud. She lied about the number of units,
she lied about so she could qualify for more money.
She lied about living in Virginia when obviously she didn't,
and she lied about being married and being married to
(22:20):
her father because you know, he has the same last name.
You can get away with that, and that way she
can get a better rate and she can qualify for
the mortgage. So all of that happened, and now she's
being charged or not charged, but she's being investigated for
mortgage fraud. And Cuomo is being investigated right now for
(22:42):
lying to Congress. And the one that's being charged is
Congresswoman mcgiver over in Newark, and she's on tape. I mean,
I don't know how she is able to escape these
charges because she's on tape and she keeps saying, she
keeps saying, you know, oh, no, no, no, they're just
(23:04):
trying to impede me from doing my job. No, that's
not what it was. You were trying to impede them
from doing their job. You used your elbow and your
forearm to go into an ice officer in the back.
I mean, how cowardly is that in the back, and
(23:27):
you were pushing, and you were shoving, and you were grabbing,
and you were making sure they couldn't make their arrest.
It's pretty clear what you did. And yet she is
fighting too, and she's everywhere, by the way. She's been
on MSNBC, she's been on CNN, She's over and over again.
And the guy that's sick of it more than anybody
else seeing her as Tom Homan, this is politics? Is
(23:50):
politics or public safety? Politics over common sense? I mean,
that facility's one of the finest facilities in the station.
Did you know it? Do you ever realize And you've
seen this now time and time again. You saw it
when a couple of Democrats went down to El Salvador
to try to get a gangbanger and terrorists out of prison.
(24:10):
They thought that was going to be their cause. And
then all the Democrats they also jumped in, and then
they realized they were in the wrong cause and they
were going, no, no, no, no, this is all about
due process. They're still still talking about that. It's not
about the criminals. No, no, no, we're not supporting the
criminals that are being deported. It's all about due process.
They must get emails for their talking points because now
(24:33):
this new one, by the way, just another one real quick.
You're gonna hear over and over again when everybody says,
when even Democrats in the media are saying, you know what,
maybe we should be investigating what happened during the Trump
administration because that really can't happen again. All the Democratic
politicians what they say over and over again, no, no, no,
(24:55):
it's not time to look back. It is time to
look forward over again, as if they get their talking
points that way. And now the talking points for mcgiver
is you can't get in the way of oversight. We're
able to have oversight over the executive brands and the
(25:15):
judicial branch. It's in the constitution that we have oversight
and you can't stop us. Well, nobody's saying you can't
go to the ice facility. But you don't have to trespass,
and you don't have to sold officers. You can just
call and they'll let you in. Mcgiver says that's not enough.
They're gonna hide stuff. Look what are they gonna hide?
(25:37):
It pays apparently as an amazing facility. So she's on
TV all the time because going up against Donald Trump
helps you politically, as Tom Holman said a moment ago,
and Letitia James, well, she looks like she might be
in some real trouble because now she's out there admitting
that she made mistakes.
Speaker 8 (25:58):
It has to do with the fact that on a
power of attorney, I mistakenly indicated that I was a
state of Virginia, and but prior to that, I had
indicated to the mortgage broker that, in fact, in bold
cap letters, that I am not a resident of Virginia
and never will be right.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
You were never a resident of Virginia. But you put
that very clearly on a mortgage form to get a
house and a better loan and pay lower taxes on it. Yes,
you did that. You can see it clear as day.
But that's not the only mistake you made. Were they
all mistakes? You know? You put down that you were
(26:39):
married to your father, you put down the number of
units that you had in your inflated that just to
make the property more valuable. There's a lot of stuff there.
It looks like she's in trouble. But the one that
fascinates me the most, and these are all these Democratic
politicians in the area now being charged with pretty serious
(26:59):
crimes or investigated for pretty serious crimes, the one that
has the most goll and. He always has been. He's
always been like this. He's always been this bully and
then this strong man, and when he's attacked, the attacks back.
Andrew Cuomo right now has an ad out, an ad
(27:22):
out about being investigated by the Justice Department for lying
to Congress.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
First, they arrested a liberal judge in Wisconsin.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Trump administration is the latest assault on American liberty.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Then a Democratic congresswoman in New Jersey. Then they went
after New York's attorney general. Now they're attacking Andrew Cuomo
to interfere with New York City's election. Why Because Andrew
Cuomo is the last person they want. His mayor an
experienced leader will stand up to bullies, bring New York
back and deliver for the people of this city. If
(27:54):
Donald Trump doesn't want Andrew Cuomo as mayor.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
You do see that exactly. You know, I ran the
whole ad because I know it's not going to affect you.
But man, the gall of this man. He absolutely lied
to Congress. He said he didn't edit the health report
(28:18):
that cleared him, and there's his writing in the health
report that cleared him, and all of his notes in
the health report are used in the final draft of
the report. He claimed he didn't do that, and then
they had evidence that he did. But he is saying
this is all political and I'm going to take on
(28:39):
Donald Trump.
Speaker 9 (28:40):
This is going to put a lot of wind in
Andrew Cuomo's sales.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Right now.
Speaker 9 (28:44):
What Democratic voters are going to do is to rally
round the flag, rally round the one of us who's
being attacked. And they feel like Cuomo is strong enough,
tough enough, experienced enough to stand up to Trump.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Man the gall that's a political strategist talking there. But wow,
but you know who's never going to buy this, and
you know who we should be listening to that we've
been ignoring too much the families of the fifteen thousand
that died because of his executive order to make certain
that the elderly with COVID stay in a nursing home.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
It doesn't matter to us who investigates.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
I don't believe it's politically motivated because he lied.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Yes, he did lie, and he knew he lied, and
then he lied, and he lied again, and then he
lied in front of Congress. And that's a crime, and
that's what he's being investigated for. And yet they have
the gall to run on this and run against Donald Trump. Wow. Well,
(29:50):
when we come back, the big beautiful bill passed, we'll
talk about the Washington going ons next. Well, just horror
in Washington, DC. A young couple in the prime of
their life, was they were about to get engaged and
make a trip to Israel and then they're gunned down
(30:12):
as they're going to an event at the Capitol Jewish Museum.
And I know there's so many of you out there
right now thinking we knew this was going to happen.
It was going to happen eventually, with the anti Semitism
in the streets, with the anti Semitism in politics, with
the anti sentimentism rising up because of what's happening in
(30:35):
the Middle East between Hamas and Israel. It was just
starting to percolate, and it wasn't ending. Everybody. Every time
you think it's done, every time you think that this
uprising of anti Semitism would end, it hasn't. And I
(30:55):
can separate the protest against what's happening in pawas Stein
to anti Semitism. I can separate those two. But the
anti Semitism is thick. You see it all the time.
You see it with Jews being attacked on the streets
of New York, with Jews being attacked on the streets
(31:15):
across the country, with swastik is drawn on cars, with
synagogues being attacked. Of course, this was eventually going to happen.
The man that was arrested for this crime, thirty year
old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, traveled to Washington to do this.
(31:37):
He wanted to make a statement in the nation's capital,
and when he was arrested, he started chanting, Free, Free Palestine.
Is that sound familiar to you. This guy was a
definite anti Semite. So I'm really tired of hearing the
(31:58):
argument when you hear free Free Palestine on the streets
of New York by large crowds, or at Columbia University
that oh no, no, no, no, that's that's not anti Semitism.
And again many of them aren't, but many of them are,
and they see this as an excuse for their hatred.
(32:19):
They see this as something they want to jump on
because they were, they've been anti Semitic for a long
long time, and this is an outlet for them. Pambondi
is on top of this. She already made a statement
and it sounds like this guy is going to be
charged to the fullest extent of the law.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
We will follow the facts, we will follow the law,
and this defendant charged will be prosecuted to the fullest
extent of the law.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Yeah, they're going to make this a priority. There's no question.
The young couple, by the way, it's Sarah Lynn Milgram
and Yarn Lezynski, a young couple, and it they had
they were just wonderful to you know. You have heard
tapes of them now and then they have a they're
very active on social media and I've seen them and
(33:10):
they're they's wonderful together. You can tell they were in
love and this was going to start. This was the
beginning of a brand new chapter in their lives.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
The young man purchased a ring this week with the
intention of proposing to his girlfriend next week in Jerusalem.
They were a beautiful couple who came to enjoy an
evening in Washington's Cultural Center.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Yakille Leter is Israel's ambassador to the United States. He
immediately called Donald Trump, who.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Told me that his administration is going to do everything
can possibly do to fight and end anti Semitism.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Donald Trump also went on truth social and said these
horrible DC killings based obviously in anti Semitism. Now, when
he put that in capital letters, hatred and radicalism have
no place in this country. Condolences to the families of
the victims. So sad that such a thing as this
can happen. God bless you all. I will say that
(34:14):
the DC police and Mayor Muriel Bowser, who I'm not
a fan of, but she has been very good in
reacting to this and reaching out to the Jewish community
in Washington. They say there are no other threats right now.
They believe there are no other threats, but I'm sure
police all around the country, all around the world and
(34:35):
especially in New York City, are now on heightened alert.
So sad. Coming up, Let's talk about the mayor's race.
Mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo is facing investigation, Mayoral candidate Zorhan
Mandani is accused of anti Semitism, and mayoral candidate Kuris
Sliwa is here to talk about it all. Next coming
up after seven o'clock
