Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well as always, thanks so much for being with us
this morning. Listen in. If you're in your car and
you just left or your home and you're about to
get in your car, just remember there's gonna be showers
and thunderstorms today, so they're not going to happen till
about noon. But you may want to pack an umbrella
in your car if you don't have one. So just
(00:20):
a reminder, just trying to help you in the Big Three.
An explosive, explosive hearing on Capitol Hill with senators, including
Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal, trying but failing, miserably, trying to
slime Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Senator Blumenthal, I cannot believe that you would excuse me
of impropriety when you lied about your military service. I
am you lie, lunched a US city, you lie? Dare you?
I'm a career prosecutor. Ever challenged my integrity. I have
(01:03):
abided by every ethics standard.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, it was like that for the entire hearing. Every
Democrat tried, every Democrat failed. She was impressive. And in
that same hearing, Senator Josh Hawley calls for hearings and
investigation and prosecution of those in the Biden Justice Department
who were targeting Catholics, school parents, and US senators, including
(01:33):
Josh Hawley.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
We've got nothing but concerns today, but no concern at
all for a Justice Department that is tapping the phones
of sitting United States Senators because who knows why they
don't like them. They're members of the opposition party, they're Republicans,
their conservatives.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, these are FBI memos that have been discovered that
show that un the Biden administration, they let the prosecutors
loose and investigators loose on people across the country, investigating them,
tapping their phones following them. I'm telling you know what
(02:14):
they keep saying. The Trump administration is weaponizing the Justice Department. Seriously,
take a look in the mirror. Tonight is the New
Jersey gubernutorial debate on ABC seven, in a race between
Republican Jack Chittarelli and Democrat Mikey Cheryl that polls show
(02:36):
right now is a dead heat.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Both of these candidates really need to cater to that
median voter, those voters who are in the middle, independence, nonpartisan,
swing voters, whatever you want to call them. That's the
key really for either one of them to get over the.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Finish line and a Democratic mayoral candidates are in mom
Donnie is facing backlash right now after releasing a statement
on October seventh, the anniversary the two year anniversary of
the Hamas attack, a statement condemning Israel and its war
(03:11):
on Hamas and Gaza on the anniversary. But nothing seems
to stop this guy. He's like Teflon Zoran.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
I don't know if anything will affect Assembly minimum Donnie's campaign.
I think this is just one of many examples of
anti Jewish positions that are cloaked under the veil of
anti Zionism or anti Nayahu.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
There are signs that the government shut down may be
coming to an end. Well, hopefully we're.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Going to get this result before October fifteenth. That is
when you will see the majority of these workers in
our military employee and military men and women not receive
their paycheck.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
That was a New York Congressman Nicole Meliotakas and the
Yankees live to fight another day thanks to their superstar
Aaron Judge Strip pitch. It's a drive downline PERF Experiences moments. Yeah,
(04:17):
they were down, they look bad, they were down six
to one after the first couple of innings, and that
was huge. That tied up the game six to six.
They went on to beat the Blue Jays nine to six.
Now comes Game four today. I want to start by
talking about the mayoral race and the fact that Zorin
(04:39):
Mamdani is skating to the mayoral ship even though he
is an amazingly flawed candidate. The things he said in
his past are disqualifying. The things he said about the police,
the things he said about Jews, the things he said
about Israel, the things he's over and over again. He
(05:00):
has blasted the police department and Jews around the world,
and yet he skates, and yet he gets away with everything.
And I don't know whether it's the media not covering
him the way they should and warning everybody about him,
and the fact that all of his policies are just lies,
(05:23):
or it is that just that his supporters are so rabid.
His supporters want socialism so much that they're willing to
ignore everything else. That they're like socialist zombies that are
going to vote for him no matter what he says,
(05:44):
no matter what he does, no matter what he's done
in his past. It doesn't seem to matter. He just
seems to be teflon teflon, Zoran. This is what and
this is why I'm saying this is because yesterday, on
the anniversary of October seventh, one of the worst terrorist
(06:04):
attacks in global history against Israel. Awful one hundred and
ninety five people killed, people taken hostage, children killed in
front of their parents, women repeatedly raped and sexually mutilated.
(06:26):
Just a horror show on that day. And let me
read to you the statement that Zorin Mamdani put out tonight.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I mourn.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
The lives and pray for the families that have been
shattered in Gaza that our government has been complicit with.
This must end, the occupation and the apartheid in Gaza
(07:00):
must end. Every day in Gaza becomes a place where
grief runs out of language. Do you think that was
the day to worry about what's happened to the people
of Gaza. Do you think the anniversary of the horrific
(07:21):
attack on Israel and innocent people in Israel who were
trying to see a concert, who were just living in
their homes with marauders bursting in the door, killing their children,
raping the women, killing one hundred and ninety five people
(07:45):
taking people hostage. You think that was the day to
put out a statement how much you're worried about the
people of Gaza. Now, look, there might be another day
for that. Any other day would be a good day
for that. Why today? Why yesterday? Why yesterday? Why would
(08:07):
you ruin and cause more pain for the people who
had to suffer through that, who are still waiting for
hostages to come home, who are in this country, the
Jews in this country, who are still suffering from what
happened in New York. Why would you put out a
(08:27):
statement like that? Because this is what he really believes.
He doesn't care about Israel. He wants a part. He
wants the Infantada. That's what he wants. He said it
so many times in the past. Everything he said in
the past is true. We should believe that. We should
(08:51):
believe that he wants to defund the police. We should
believe it when he says that the police department is
racist and against LGBTQ individuals. We should believe him when
he says that that they're the enemy. We should believe
him when he wants to globalize the Infantada. We should
(09:16):
believe it when he says Israel should cease to exist.
We should believe all of that, and yet people are
blind to it. And yet it's all there on paper.
That statement yesterday was on paper. I don't understand it.
I don't understand how this guy skates and everything he
(09:40):
says he's going to do that's positive, he cannot do.
He can't raise taxes on the rich that goes through Albany,
They'll never do it. He can't raise the corporate tax
that goes through Albany, He'll never do it. All the
things he's he's as. He is a false prophet. Please
(10:01):
wake up and media, do your job. It's time to
take this guy out in the media. With negative story
after negative story after negative story. These glowing stories about
this savior for New York, about how always young and cute,
(10:21):
have got to stop. You're not People magazine, You're the
New York Times, You're the New York Post, you're the
Daily News. Do your job. There is a city in
New Jersey that has become the Hollywood of the East,
and many residents are not happy about it at all.
We'll talk about that next. I just want to remind
you about these talkbacks every time you leave us a talkback,
(10:41):
you were in the running to win a limited edition
MENTI in the Morning t shirt that's awarded every single
day to our favorite message of the day. And don't
forget the best talk back of the week takes on
the Sea Crane Radio. Sea Crane radios deliver the reception
and clarity you deserve. You know, it's so funny. Sometimes
(11:05):
I just get into a rant like I just did
a moment ago, and then you think to yourself, you know,
it's not exactly what where I decided to go. Something
just took over me and this rant against her in
mom Donnie, and you think to yourself at the end, hey,
that went really well. You know, it was great, it
was nice. And then you get a talk back that
says this, wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
(11:28):
wow wow wow. You sound like the women from the view.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
You really do.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
It's getting really ridiculous the way you sound.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
While don't you only think of one side, You don't
think of the other side.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
God created everybody and women and children that are being
blown up.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
Is just not fair. And yes I feel bad.
Speaker 7 (11:49):
For the people of Israel.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
You don't sound like it, by the way. Let me
start back with the wah wah wah wah wah. You
know two or three would have been good, That would
have been nice. What did you do about twelve? Secondly,
that is the most horrid insult I have ever gotten
(12:14):
the women of the view. I sound like the women.
First of all, everything I said was factual. They don't. First. Secondly,
I wasn't just screeching. Third, defend him. If you're gonna
if you're going to leave a talk back and you're
going to say something about what I said, deal with
(12:37):
the content. Defend him. Tell me where I was wrong.
Explain to me how he's going to do the things
that he claims he's going to do, because you can't.
There's nothing he said that is true. I know you
like him because he's anti Trump, like the view, but
(13:02):
that's not enough. As it stands right now, this is
an anti cop, anti Semitic candidate who is lying to
you about what he can do. Tell me how that's
a good thing. That's what's important about what I said.
Speaker 8 (13:21):
I am a registered Democrat, and my Democrat politicians continue
to commit political suicide, whether it's shutting down the government
for demanding fund medicaid to illegal aliens to rejecting and
blocking federal National Guard aid to major critical cities in
dire need. I'm sure if President Biden offered federal muscle
to assist police to fight crime, it would be welcome
(13:44):
with open arms and he would be hailed a hero.
The double standard of this country is sickening, and I'm
calling out my own party.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
He can't really prepared as a Democrat. He wrote all
that down, But that is really good. We got who
do we have on the phone, Peter, Peter, Hey, you're
on seven to ten WL.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
Thanks for Cohen, Thank you for taking my call. Look,
I think Mandami is playing the exact socialist playbook that
they have all over Eastern Europe, and they played it
all over Eastern Europe. He knows the groups that he
is to identify to win, and one of the groups
that he's identifying right now is the Muslim population in
New York City, which is about thirteen to fifteen percent.
(14:21):
He's pretty much telling them what they want to hear.
He's telling the youth what they want to hear, which
is socialism that he will provide for them by a
force redistribution of property from the rich to the poor.
He's promoting exactly the ideology that socialists have promoted all
over the world until they come to power. And then
once they come to power, they are not going to
deliver on their promises because they cannot. But New York
(14:44):
should remember one thing. You can both socialists in but
then you need you need or a revolution sort of
to dismantle them from power and to dislodge them. That's
how dangerous these people are. And I hope that New
Yorkers come to their senses and vote this guy out
and not allowed him to.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Go, not to become the next Yeah, really good phone call.
I know everything you were saying, but you also have
to remember that the other people that are voting for
him are Jewish New Yorkers, which is insane. About half
of the Jewish New Yorkers are going to vote for him,
and so they're voting against their own interest. Thanks a
lot for the phone call. I'll give out the number
(15:21):
in a second.
Speaker 7 (15:21):
Yea.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
We still take phone calls, we just don't give out
the number a lot because we like to do these
talkbacks and give you prizes for your talkbacks. Real quick,
let's talk about Paterson, New Jersey, because Patterson New Jersey
is hailing itself as the Hollywood of the East, and
I understand, I kind of get it. They have a
(15:43):
movie shooting there right now starring Cameron Diaz. Actually, it
just wrapped up and people were upset about it. The
mayor says, by the way, we'll get you next time.
Next time you have to shut down your business because
the movies will make sure we pay you. But they
just had Spielberg there, and some of the movies that
are there are incredible, and they have a Denzel Washington
movie coming in January.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
Atterson has been dubbed Hollywood East because they've been able
to track so many movies in the last seven years.
Spielberg came in twenty nineteen. He was here for three
months and there was a multiplier effect. As far as
economic impact is concerned, it was very positive.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah, I guess they have a good case that they
are the Patterson they are Hollywood East. Let's get to
Jacqueline Carl right now with the six thirty News.
Speaker 9 (16:29):
Jacklin Larry, the Texas National Guard is in Chicago. In
a post on ex Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed that
service members quote are on the ground and ready to
go Illinois Governor JB. Prisker continues to sign President Trump
over what he calls his quote, unconstitutional invasion of the city. Meanwhile,
New York City has filed an amicus brief to support
(16:51):
Oregon's ongoing case against the federal government's deployment of National
Guard in Portland.
Speaker 10 (16:56):
It comes days after a US district court in Oregon
rule that the National Guard deployment in response to protests
of immigration enforcement operations likely violated federal law because the
protests were not very disruptive. New York City joined a
coalition of seventy four localities which warns against the Trump
administration's plans to deploy the National Guard anywhere anytime, arguing
(17:19):
the federal government has overreached its authority. The group says
it harms local sovereignty, peace and tranquility, and local economies.
Natalie mcgliori wour News.
Speaker 9 (17:30):
So this guy wins a wilderness challenge and wait until
you hear how he did it and how much you
got for it. According to Dextero, there's been a winner
declared and a seventy day wilderness challenge in China. The
contest was organized by a tourism company and a couple
of outdoor clubs. It tested contestants' abilities to build shelters,
(17:51):
purify water, saw and source food. In addition, brutal conditions
saw temperatures below fifty degrees at night, frequent rain, and
visits from snake and other wild animals, and you get this.
Any player who lasted thirty days was awarded nine hundred
and forty dollars random and the final grand prize was
(18:12):
fourteen thousand dollars. The winner of that prize was Yang
Dong Dong yep, that's his name, and he ate rats
for seventy days to win it. Anybody here willing to
spend all that time, seventy days in the wilderness to
win fourteen thousand dollars and eat rats the whole time
(18:33):
with temperatures below fifty degrees, with rain and snakes and bugs.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
That doesn't sound appealing. I don't pay that. I can
pay that instantly just not to have to do it. Yeah.
I think that's a big no from everybody. But it's
amazing that they had people that do that do it.
But I guess if you have the name what is
his name again?
Speaker 9 (18:53):
I was gonna say congratulations Yang Dong Dong.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, we should do this story over and over again
just so you can keep saying Yang Dong t That's just.
Speaker 9 (19:04):
Plain fun to say, right, yang Dong Dong.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Thanks a lot, Jacqueline. It was the Pam Bondi show
in the United States. Senate Democratic senators thought they were
going to slime her, but did you say it? She
was prepared and they left the hearings licking their wounds.
We have it all for you. Next, it was pretty
(19:27):
amazing and the iHeartRadio Music Festival performer Creeden's Clearwater Revival.
Lead singer and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John
Fogerty joins Bobby Bones on a new episode of The
Bobby Cast to take a deep dive into the story
of the origin of CCR and how that name came about. Plus,
(19:47):
John tells us the story of how he wrote classics
like Proud Mary and Fortunate Son In minutes. Check out
this new episode of The Bobby Cast on the free
iHeartRadio app today. Did you watch at all Pam Bondy
yesterday in front of the Senate Judicial Committee. It was
(20:10):
just entertaining. It was fun to watch because you know
they've the staff of all these senators prepares questions, these
big gotcha questions for the Democrats, and they have them
in front of them and they're going to get her.
They're gonna get Pam Bondy. They're gonna embarrass Pam Bondy
in front of the nation. And what happened. She embarrassed them.
(20:31):
She was prepared too, She's was a federal prosecutor. She's
used to this. She's better than you at it. But
it was entertaining. It was just fun to watch. It
was one sided. They had all this research, They had
(20:54):
all these people researching the questions, they had all their
staff working on it. They were prepared. We're going to
take her on. They were going to embarrass her in
front of the nation. And man did that turnaround. Starting
it off, of course, with every judicial hearing is the chairman,
and this is Dick Durbin, who happens to be from
Illinois and Chicago, and that came up first.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
The National Guard is on the way right now as
we speak. Oh, by the way, so is Director Patel
and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. You're sitting here grilling me,
and they're on their way to Chicago to keep your
state safe.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Right, you're in Washington trying to tell us what to do.
We're actually going to your city. And by the way,
the FBI director is right there in your city, and
the National Guard is in your city protecting your city
while you're asking me about it and criticizing me about it.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
You voted to shut down the government and you're sitting here.
Our law enforcement officers aren't being paid. They're out there
working to protect you. I wish you loved Chicago as
much as you hate President Trump, and currently the National
Guard are on the way to Chicago. If you're not
going to protect your citizens, president Trump.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Will He looked like, and when you're watching it, he
looked like, you know what, I should just shut up now.
He really was getting frustrated and getting embarrassed because she
had an answer for everything. But perhaps the biggest takedown
(22:24):
was from the great Connecticut liar, Richard Blumenthal, who thought
he was going to attack her, and she was stunned
that he was even trying.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Senator Blumenthal, I cannot believe that you would accuse me
of impropriety when you lied about your military service.
Speaker 7 (22:46):
I am.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
At you lie, but dare you. I'm a career prosecutor.
Don't you ever challenge my integrity. I have abided by
free ethics standard.
Speaker 11 (23:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I think she won that round, don't you. She was
ready to fight. There's no question she was ready for them.
She knew everything they were going to say before they
said it. You want more of that with Richard Blumenthal?
Why not, Senator Blumenthal?
Speaker 2 (23:20):
I find it so interesting that you didn't bring any
of this up during President Biden's administration, when he was
doing everything to protect Hunter Biden, his son. And I
think you just saw what Director Radcliffe just released information.
If I can finish answering the question, I'm I'm going
to yell over you. I'm not going to get in
the gutter with you, but information information that the Biden
(23:43):
administration told them not to investigate Hunter Biden's involvement with Ukraine.
And I'm not going to be to you about about
being in the military just to be elected as senator.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Had almost every question that he lied about being in
the military. This is something he thought was in his past,
that he was going to cover up that. And I
can't believe the people of Connecticut, even when it was
exposed that he lied when he claimed he was in
Vietnam when he wasn't in Vietnam, that they still elected
him a senator. Richard Blumenthal is an embarrassment, and he's
(24:23):
an embarrassment to Connecticut. He's an embarrassment to the US Senate.
And I'm so glad that Pam Bondy just embarrassed him
in front of the world. One of the things that
came up that I wanted to talk about the last
couple of days and didn't get a chance to Was
the abhorrent sentencing given by Judge Deborah Boardman in Washington,
(24:44):
d c. Against the man who wants to be a
woman who showed up at the house of Brett Kavanaugh,
traveled all the way from California to kill him, with
his wife and fam emily in the house, and the
prosecutors laid out the case against him, and they asked
(25:08):
for thirty years. Now an assassin nation attempt at a
Supreme Court justice, that would warrant thirty years, right, And
maybe if they gave him twenty you'd think, oh, that's fine.
They gave him ninety seven months. And Ted Cruz, who
is an accomplished attorney and probably could have been on
(25:29):
the Supreme Court, was horrified.
Speaker 12 (25:31):
Why because this left wing judge said that the attempted
murderer was transgender and because he identifies as transgender. Apparently
it's okay to try to kill a Supreme Court justice
if your politics are sufficiently woke. Now I know you
have said the Apartment of Justice is going to appeal,
(25:52):
and you absolutely should. I called this week. I believe
this judge should be impeached.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah, there's a lot of people calling for her impeachment
right now. And Pam Bondia responded.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
She did an incredible job, and yet this judge gave a.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Let me stop that for a second, because when she
says she did an incredible job, she's talking about the
federal prosecutor handling the case.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
She did an incredible job, and yet this judge gave
eight years. And the judge also would not refer to
the defendant by his biological name, referred to him by
the pronouns, and was concerned about the treatment that this
(26:37):
individual would get regarding a sex change while in prison.
And we are appealing that sentence. I immediately said, we
are appealing that sentence.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
She had more sympathy for the would be shooter, the
would be assassin than she did for the family, and
she should be impeached. By the way, coming up in
the next hour, I'm still going to deal with it.
Was amazing. Josh Hawy, the Senator came and laid out
everything that was exposed in that John Radcliffe memo that
(27:08):
BONDI just talked about. That showed what the Biden administration
was doing to try to weaponize the Justice Department. You know,
they claim that Donald Trump's doing that way do you
hear what the Biden administration was doing it? Israel, by
the way, right now there is real optimism for lasting
peace for the first time in two years. We'll get
(27:29):
the latest on the talks to end the war from
Jordana Miller live in Jerusalem. Next. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu says he's cautiously optimistic, and Donald Trump says we
hope to have something very soon in talking about the
negotiations to end the war in Gaza. Let's find out
(27:50):
what's going on from Jordana Miller, ABC News correspondent. She
is in Jerusalem. Jordana, is this optimism warranted?
Speaker 11 (28:01):
I think so, I really do. I mean, we haven't
been this close to a deal since last January, and
all the main players are now in Charmelshek, in that
coastal town on the Egyptian Red Sea, and that includes
(28:21):
Ron Dermer, the head Israeli negotiator, who arrived a short
while ago, and he'll be sitting around the table with
President Trump's most important envoy to this region, Steve Whitcoff
and Jared Kushner right, as well as the head of Intelligence,
the Egyptian equivalent of the head of the CIA, and
(28:44):
for the first time, Turkey's intelligence chief will be there
as well. And that's important because President Trump brought in
Turkey for the first time to this peace table or
ceasefire talks table, and it's important because Turkey can put
new pressure on Hamas.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Right.
Speaker 11 (29:03):
Hamas leaders, some of them reside in Turkey, and Turkey
has a strong relationship with the United States. Airdwan and
President Trump have shown that in their press conferences and
in their meetings. And everyone now is around the table
hoping to really put the pressure on Hamas and by
(29:24):
the way, on the Israelis to make the tough compromises
and end this war. And I think the next forty
eight hours, Larry, are going to be very critical if
they can't sort through the details in the next forty
eight hours with all of these people around the table,
you know, if that falls apart, we're in bad shape.
(29:45):
Because if it's not these if it's not these guys,
who's gonna actually get this war get the players to
the table to end the war. So I'll have to
watch and see. The first phase, obviously, is the release
of all of the Israeli hostages in exchange for a
out a little more than two thousand Palestinian prisoners. And
it's going to be a fight. Who's on that list,
(30:06):
who's not on that list? Do they get to go
to the West Bank or Gaza or not?
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Right?
Speaker 11 (30:12):
Or are they expelled? And there'll be debates about the
places of the Israeli army with the withdrawal map, Right,
they have to move out of Gaza City, out of
parts of northern Gaza.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah, what exactly does Hamas want when it comes to
their existence, when it comes to being able to stay
in Gaza, do we know?
Speaker 11 (30:37):
Well, I mean, like any terrorist organization, they want to
survive in Gaza, likely so they can rebuild and continue
their armed struggle against the State of Israel. Right, that's
what they're hoping to be able to do. Now it's
going to be up to the United States and Israel
and the other allies in the region to make sure
that they don't have the capability to do that.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Right.
Speaker 11 (31:00):
So within that context, Hamas is going to want their
leadership to get immunity, right if they leave the Gossa strip,
so that the Israelis won't kill them at some point.
And uh, you know they're going to have to agree
to some kind of disarmament. They're going to look to
probably do it in the slowest possible way so that
(31:23):
maybe it won't fully happen, right, I mean, you know,
Hamas is not going to willingly surrender and give up
their power, right. That's why this deal is so important,
because it has to ensure that they, you know, give
up a lot of their a lot of their weapons
in a in a way that is supervised not only
by the United States, but by Arab regional partners like
(31:44):
Egypt and the Jordanians and the Amiratis and now Turkey.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Right now, it's important. You just said, we have forty
eight hours to watch this, so we hope to talk
to you again during these talks. But this is the
closest with ever bailing and that the closest will ever been.
