Speaker 1 (00:00):
Waves. Just make it through today. The temperatures are going
to be a nice, real nice over the next few days.
As a matter of fact, it's going to be downray
Pool over the next few days. Just today. Got to
get through today. Well, did you vote yesterday? It was
kind of a chakra. If you didn't vote, it's your fault.
It's your fault that this happened in the Big three.
(00:22):
What else are we going to start with today? The
Democratic Party is going full socialist Zorin mam Danni, Muslim
socialist immigrant from Uganda is the Democratic nominee for mayor
of New York Today.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Eight months after launching this campaign with the vision of
a city that every New Yorker could afford, we have won.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, he was really smart to tackle affordability. He was
the only one talking about it early on. Cuomo tried
to make a pivot in the last couple of days
and talk about affordability, but it was way too late.
That is going to be the issue, and you have
to give him credit. He was out in front of it.
That is going to be the issue. But his programs
(01:15):
and what he's talking about doing, which we'll talk about
later in the show, are just downright scary, and voting
happened as New York and the entire Northeast suffer through
a record setting heat waves.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
It is a sauna combined with a hot tub.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
It's awful.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
They brought in the fans for the workers, which is great.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, they brought in the fans because there was power out.
Kana Ed's having a hell of a job trying to
get all the power kept on in Staten Island and Queens.
And that was a voting booth or a voting precinct
in Queens where they just didn't have any air conditioning
at all, and most people were smart enough to vote
(01:58):
at night, but if you voted during the day, and
help imagine what those workers were like in there. We
now have an official Republican candidate for Mayor of New
York for the Republican side, Curtis Lee. He'll be with
us coming up at seven thirty five. It was the
first peaceful day in Israel in weeks, and so now
(02:22):
Jordana Miller in Israel and her family and the world
can sleep a little bit easier.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Regarding the issue that was in the forefront of the
President's mind that he made clear over and over again
that they will not have a nuclear weapon, and now
they will not have a nuclear weapon.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, apparently they got some of the uranium out of there,
but it's going to take long time for them to
get that to weapons grade. We'll talk with Jordana Miller
in Jerusalem in a half an hour from now. The
prosecution and the defense rested in the Sean Diddy Combes
trial and for the first time we heard Shawn Combe
speak when the judge asked him if he was voluntarily
(03:02):
giving up his right to testify in his own defense.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
And even before he answered that, Sean Colms took it
upon himself to thank the judge for how he's presided
over this case, and then he went to answer the
questions that this is my choice and I solely waive
this right. I do not wish to testify. I have
spoken to my attorneys and am making this decision out
of my own free will.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Right now today, both the defense and prosecution will be
meeting with the judge to go over the instructions to
the jury, which is they're extremely important the wording that
he's used, So that's going to take the whole day.
The jury should get the case tomorrow. And the police
commissioner who led the city through nine to eleven has died.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
We were like brothers. I mean we survived September eleven together.
I will tell you that he saved my life. And
of course the bond you have with someone like that
is unbreakable.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Berniekirrik was only sixty eight years oldtine model model. He
was really good looking guy and a former teen idol.
Has died. Dear Bobby Sherman, dead at the age of
eighty one. I remember Bobby Sherman. Well, I didn't have
a poster in my room. I didn't.
Speaker 7 (04:19):
Maybe this is your second man, maybe this is your
first man crushed in life.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I didn't. I didn't have a man crush on him.
I just appreciated his music, darn it. He was cute though. Yeah, yeah,
he was the He was the first. Not the first
because there was David Cassidy and all that, but he
was one of the He was one of the teen
idols back in back in the day. He was on
a show called well we'll talk about him coming up,
(04:43):
But Bobby, you want to talk about him now? He
is dead at the age of eighty one. But she's
laughing because I came in here and I said, look,
don't judge me, but I really liked Bobby Sherman. No
judgment zone here. Yes, So go to the iHeartRadio app
and leave us a talk back about Bobby Sherman if
(05:04):
you want to, or about anybody else. And while you're
on the free iHeartRadio app, be sure to set a
preset for wo R. Well it happened. You know. I
don't always pat myself on the back. Sometimes I do,
but don't often. Don't often. But it was way back
when Zorimandani, when the first poll came out and showed
(05:25):
him at eight percent, I said, watch this guy. You
did for a long time you said that. I said,
watch this guy. I mean, I didn't see somebody make
that big of a jump that early. And then nobody
really knew his name. So the tough yeah it is.
I mean, everybody knows it now.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Know.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
As a matter of fact, we want proof. Everybody knows it.
Speaker 8 (05:46):
Now.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Wat's his name, Wat's his name, Wat's his.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Name, wats his name?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
We get it. That's a socialist rally. If you ever
stalin Stalin, man, that's a little bit scary. I'm telling you.
We're going full communists. Now, can I.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
Ask a question because people keep asking me this and
I really don't know how to tell them what to
tell them? How did he get in the Democratic ticket
if he is a socialist? How does he get on that?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Phoe? No, he doesn't call himself a socialist. I thought
he did.
Speaker 9 (06:20):
No.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
He calls himself a socialist democrat. Democrat. Yees, yeah, he's
a socialist democrat. And I'm not even sure what the
difference is anymore, but that's what he calls himself. I
think it's redundant. But that's how he ran in the
Democratic Party. By the way, he is a Democrat. He
ran as a Democrat for Assembly. He did nothing when
he was in the Assembly. He had a total of
(06:41):
six bills through two terms. But that's fine. You can
now be mayor when you do absolutely nothing. If you
can make a good video and you can promise everything
for free, that's all it takes. I will tell tell
you he got young voters out to the polls. I
mean not the eighteen twenty five four years old they're
still not showing up. But the twenty five to thirty
(07:04):
four year olds in mass came out to vote for zorim,
Mom Donnie. So that's a good thing. I'm glad they're voting.
I just wish they were smarter. But Mom, Donnie won.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Today eight months after launching this campaign.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah we know, he says, with the.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Vision of a city that every New Yorker could afford.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
And everything is free, we have won. Don't cheer yet.
Don't cheer yet. You've got what is going to be
an incredible general election coming up. But then, Mom Donnie,
which I didn't really hear him do on the campaign trail,
and I was going to give him credit for that.
(07:52):
Now Mom Donnie knows he has to kick it up
a gear, right, So what is going to get people
even more excited about your campaign? Donald Trump?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
And it's where the mayor will use their power to
reject Donald Trump's fascists.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Fascism, to stop mass ice agents from deporting our neighbors,
and to govern our city as a model for the
Democratic Party.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
WHOA, that's it. He wants to be a model for
the Democratic Party across the country. He is AOC. He
is Bernie Sanders on steroids, and he will destroy this city.
There is no Well, first of all, maybe he won't
(08:46):
because he won't be able to get any of the
things he's promised done. Nobody is going to pass that.
The city council might, but they don't really have the
power for most of the things he's looking for. He'll
have to go up to Harrisburg, and he's not They're
not going to do it because they're not crazy. They
made by said Harrisburg. I know he goes up to Albany,
(09:07):
and then he's never gonna get anything done. He's never
gonna get anything done because they're not as crazy as
he is. You can't give everything for free. You can't
give free buses, you can't stop rent from going up.
You can't start building supermarkets and give away food for
(09:29):
cheap or nothing. You can't do it. No business, no
government is built on going broke. And so what does
he say he is gonna do. He's gonna tax the rich. Oh,
there's a novel idea. So you're gonna go tax the rich,
the richest among us, anybody making like over a million
a year, or it's worth over a million year, You're
gonna tax them heavily. You know what they're gonna do.
(09:51):
They're gonna leave You know why, because they can afford
to leave. What are you gonna do? Then there's nothing,
he says, says that can happen without consequences, and yet
the mindless vote for him. Man it is anyway, let's
(10:13):
we'll talk way more about Bobby calm down.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Blue eyes.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I don't think he had blue eyes.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Well, then they changed his pictures because I'm looking.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Right at a teen idol from the nineteen seventies has died. Well,
remember Bobby Sherman. Next, Hey, welcome back. So there. I've
been getting kidded all morning. And I should never have
admitted this to anybody. No, it's good to admit. It's
not good to admit it's not around you. It's not
good to admit she well, you haven't been in here,
(10:45):
have you. She's been nasty, nasty dat. I appreciate this.
Speaker 7 (10:55):
I'm the first person to say I was a full
on Minuto fan when I was so I cannot judge
that's true. I was like thirteen and I didn't speak Spanish,
so there you go.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
But they were cute.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
So Bobby Sherman's died at the age of eighty one,
and I guess you have to be of a certain
age to remember Bobby Sherman. He was on a series
called Here Comes the Brides, and he was the youngest
of the Bolt brothers, and I think it was Jeremy.
It's why I love the name so much, Jeremy. It
only lasted two seasons. It had decent ratings. I think
(11:33):
there was production cost problems or something like that. But
he also had a very successful record career, an extremely
successful record career. In a very short time. He had
four top ten hits, including this one. It was definitely
the cute Bolt brother. You know, he was young, and
he was in his twenties, but he looked much younger
(11:54):
than that. So he had this hewn like all the
teen magazines would have him on the cover and women
would have and I didn't, but there was a lot
of people that would have his poster up on their wall,
because you know, that shows that you have a real
connection with the audience. I remember somebody saying that about
(12:14):
boys to men in a documentary where they said, you're
never going to be big until your picture is up
on a teenager's wall. That's when you're big, or you're
in a college dorm. And they said they were never
able to break through to that but Bobby Sherman was
in everybody's wall. He died. He had a battle with
cancer later in life. He died at the age of
eighty one. But listen to this, and I've tugged Tom Cutty.
(12:37):
Our program directors met him, and everybody talks about when
they met him. What a great guy is He worked
when he retired from music and retired from acting, he
worked with the Los Angeles Police Department as a certified
medical emergency technician and instructor, and he donated his salary
back to the LAPD. So he did this for free.
(13:01):
Let me play a couple of the songs by him,
because these are his hits. These are a couple of
his hits. One more, This one. I'm embarrassed to say
that was number five. I think that was his biggest hit. Julie, Julie, Julie.
This one. I know every word to the song still.
Now we have a talk back on Bobby Sherman, and
I go to this with much trepidation. Is this person
making fun of me? Or are they a fellow fan?
(13:24):
I think a fellow fan. Hey, Larry, Yeah, Rest in peace,
Bobby Sherman. I have fond memories of actually cutting out
a record out of the back of a Cereal box
and it was his record. Unbelievable. I remember that too. No, yeah, well,
thank god someone came to my defense. Thank god, no
(13:48):
wrong with this has He was really big. I mean,
it's funny how these pop idols come and they go.
And that's why you have someone admiration for somebody that
can have a long music career. And there's several people
like that because it's it's difficult to do. It's difficult
not to be a flash in the pan.
Speaker 7 (14:09):
But it isn't a great way. I mean, it's not
great when someone passes away, but when you talk about
him and it brings you back to a time in
your life and you could think about you know, you're
an innocent kid and how you felt and where you were,
and you listen to the music.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
I love that, your friends and who he had a
crush on. Yes, you know, it's really funny. My wife
came to me when I was telling her about this
yesterday and she said, oh, don't feel embarrassed. She said,
everybody liked that kind of bubblegum music back then. And
I said, honey, that was the same year as Woodstock.
I really have no excuse. I just really liked them.
Speaker 8 (14:44):
For your soul.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
It's all good. He did well. Let's get not get
carried away. He didn't quite touch my soul, but he was.
I was a big fan, bigger than David Cassidy. I
was not a Davcacidy fan, not as much. Let's just
say that now. Let's get the Jacqueline with the six
thirty news. Jeklin, Good Morning.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
An early intelligent assessment of US strikes, and Iran says
the attack reportedly set it back only by months. Multiple
outlets are reporting about the highly classified document produced by
the Defense Intelligence Agency and US Central Command. However, Defense
Secretary Pete Hegsett says Iran's ability to create nuclear weapons
has been obliterated. As election workers spend Tuesday counting election results,
(15:26):
meteorologists were counting up the number of heat related records
that fell in the Tri State Tuesday.
Speaker 9 (15:32):
National Weather Service as the Mercury hid ninety nine degrees
in Central Park Tuesday, making it the hottest day the
city has seen since July twenty twelve and the hottest
June twenty fourth in city history. JFK Airport at one
hundred and two degrees. Newark Airport hit one oh three,
hottest day at EWR since nineteen sixty six. I slip
(15:55):
Long Islands at a new heat record at one hundred degrees,
Bridgeport Cannet gets set a record with ninety five, and
Poughkeepsie hit one hundred degrees for the first time in
twelve years. Andrew Whitman wo R News.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
All right, so these days you can find vending machine
for just about anything, and I do believe they have
some of them a place in this world, but some
of them should not be in this world. You can
get food, drinks, phone chargers, beer, drug store items, toys,
and any number of other goods. But Virginia Beach is
up the game though, with its new state of the
art kayak vending machine. Renters just have to download an app.
(16:33):
And this is why all this stuff is so easy
and popular. Pay the rental fee, scan the QR code
at the kiosk, open the kayak container, and off they go.
So we're wondering, like, what's next, how do they get
the kayaks back? And what vending machines are you pro
and what vending machines do you feel? Like, like maybe
(16:54):
that coconut pie vending machine couldn't be in the world.
Which ones would you say you're you're okay with and
not okay with.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
I don't have a strong vending machine position. You don't know.
I really don't, sorry.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Because there's some food I've seen when I was little,
especially in some places, there were like certain food vending
machines that I was like, this should not be an event,
Like a ham sandwich has no place in.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
A vending machine, but they're there.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
I think all healthy options off the vending machine list.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
I just want junk. If you were stopped at one
of the rest stops in the Jersey Turnpike where they
have the cake vending machine.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Oh, another one, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
That's fun, just when you really need that piece of
cake on the turnpike.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
They have a huge vending machine and you see and
the baker's on the side holding up a cake. And
and I've always thought I might get one for my
son off of me for my son.
Speaker 7 (17:53):
Get one video you're getting the cake.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
I want to see it, and I want to see
if you live by the way.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
I'm looking at Bobby Sherman. It looks like he does
have blue eyes. I am so happy with myself that
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
I know, I thought about that layers and he's gonna
be so happy he didn't know what color his eyes were.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Thanks so much, Jacquelyn Carl. The ceasefire has brought some
peace to Israel, but how long will that last? We're
gonna ask Jordana Miller in Jerusalem next. And you want
to add to the conversation, you can leave us a
talk back all morning. Go to seven ten WOR on
the iHeartRadio app and click the microphone and when you're there,
put seven to ten WOOR on your presets. Plus, you
(18:31):
could win a limited edition Mintie in the Morning t
shirt which will be awarded each day to our favorite
talk back of the morning. Let's get to Jordana Miller.
ABC News correspondent who is in Jerusalem, lives in Jerusalem,
reports from Jerusalem, so she has firsthand knowledge of what
it's like there. Jordana, what has it been like there
(18:55):
yesterday compared to the week before?
Speaker 8 (18:59):
Well, I think there's a lot of relief here that
the ceasefire between Israel and Iran seems to be holding
after kind of a rocky start. Yesterday morning. It was
the first night that we had nobody in the country
had sirens. That people got a full night of sleep,
although a lot of people today talking about how they
(19:22):
woke up into all of the night anyway, because I guess,
you know, we've been on a weird missile attack clock right,
some people are waking up even when there aren't no sirens.
But I think there's a lot of relief now that
this chapter, this first and hopefully last chapter for a
(19:44):
long time, is over with Iran and is really feeling
pretty good about the results. I know there's a lot
of debate in the United States and that first Intel
report that came out of the Pentagon saying the damage
was limited and only put the program back a few months.
I mean here in Israel, they are absolutely disputing that,
(20:05):
and some sources connected to the Israeli intelligence assessments say
it's just off space, you know, the Israelis are using.
They're really what they've already proven to be very accurate
and excellent intelligence resources through this these twelve days of war.
(20:27):
They've been putting those to use, and they say they
can listen in and see and use cyber tools to
break in and see what the Iranians are really saying
about what happened at FORDW and that you know, they're
satisfied that the program has been set back by years,
not months.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
And that was that's what Israeli intelligence is saying at
this point, years not months.
Speaker 8 (20:52):
Just to be clear, that's right, that's right. The Israelis
are saying years, not months. They're more in line with
what and Trump is saying, uh, un less less in
line with what that first initial report that came out
of the the Pentagon, which was uh, you know, picked
up and grabbed have you know, making all the headlines
(21:13):
and NN and the New York Times. Yep, he's really
saying no, you know, the the you know. One one
source said to me, if the Israelis weren't happy enough
with the US strikes on ford OW, they would have
hit the facility again. And you didn't see any of that, right.
The Israelis hit the access roads so nobody could get there, right,
(21:36):
But they didn't hit the installation again because they felt
it had been damaged adequately.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
Yeah. And I will say this just to not belabor
the point, but I think it's still important these were leaks,
that they were not not an official report yet, uh,
that it was leaks that the New York Times and
CNN is reporting on and they also even in the leaks,
they said, this is an extremely initial report and we're
going to have to find out. We're going to find
(22:02):
out a lot more over the in the week to come.
So yeah, that's that's really good to hear that. That's
that's really satisfying because I think a lot of people
were very worried just based on what the New York
Times and CNN was reporting. You've been through these before,
but then there.
Speaker 8 (22:20):
Are those are fantastic media outlets, but they also sometimes
get it wrong. Right, Oh yeah, no one, no one is,
no one is uh, you know, no one's been pervious
to that.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, Jordan, and I will say this, they seem to
get it wrong a lot more when Donald Trump's in office.
But uh, but that's just my opinion on it, because
it does seem like they they they jump on these
things with Donald Trump real quickly. I I, I know,
you have to go because you have other people that
you need to talk to. But how long do you
think this could hold? You've been through these before.
Speaker 8 (22:57):
I mean I think it could hold for years. I
mean I think people think, I think people think, you know,
this is it unless the Iranians are dumb enough to
attack Israel again. But I think they're you know, they're
an irrational player, but after this, I don't think they
(23:17):
would dare to do that. Uh, you know, and Trump
has just you know, he's still there and he'll be
in office for another few years, so I think we'll
past this. It's amazing how quickly Uh, the Israeli focused
now is back on Gaza, you know, and the linkage
made you know, Iran is finished. Let's you know, let's
(23:39):
finish the job in Gaza. Uh. You know, maybe this
will provide some kind of impetus for a new round
of talks. And we're hearing the mediators are talking now
between the sides again.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (23:52):
And I think that's going to be you know, that's
what we're going to keep our eye on next. Will
you know, will there be another Gaza out of this
as well?
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Your Dnah Millers.
Speaker 8 (24:04):
Just lost their big thunder, right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yep, And let's talk again. If we can talk tomorrow,
that'd be great. Jordena Miller ABC News corresponded in Jerusalem. Well,
she just made me feel a whole lot better. Wow,
And it does get aggravating that every time we feel
like there's a big success, just because Donald Trump's name
(24:28):
is to it, we immediately have to come out and go, no, no, no,
it's not that great. It's not that great. The Democrats
and the media, because they're now intertwined, every single time,
run out to say, oh no, no, don't get too excited,
it's not that good. He has success after success after success,
and we're told that all the time. And then we
have Jerome Powell, Jerome Powell getting up there after we
(24:51):
just found out that gas prices are the lowest have
been for the longest time. Not gas prices, excuse me,
oil prices, but guess prices will follow on that. Right afterwards,
the stock market is reacting, everybody, everybody seems happy about
this in the economic world, that Iran is not a
bad player on the world stage anymore. It's not the enemy,
(25:15):
it's not the evil one on the world stage anymore.
They have been taken out. Everybody says that, but the
New York Times runs out, no, no, no, it's not true.
CNN runs out, no, no, no, it's not true. And
it was interesting that she just mentioned those two specifically,
even though then she said, no, they're great media. Let's
they just got this one wrong. Well, they get things
wrong a lot. They get things wrong, way too much.
(25:37):
And it does always seem to be aimed at Trump,
doesn't it doesn't it? So, yeah, she was being kind,
and you know, God bless her. But still still, this
is a great moment in not only American history, but
in world history. And it's so great for people like
(25:58):
Jordana and her family, and I'm so happy for them.
So let's stay happy, can we. Daniel Trump is at
NATO and as usual, he's shaking things up. We'll give
you the details on that and talk about how and
why the economy is about to get exponentially better. That's next.
Our iHeartRadio Music Festival is back September nineteenth and twentieth
(26:19):
in Las Vegas. Two big nights, one big stage, live
performances by Brian Adams, John Fogerty, Sammy Hagar, Ed Sheer
and Maroon Five and more. And now is your chance
to buy tickets at axs dot com. Get them now
before they sell out. Hey, be really careful out today there.
This is really the third day of a heat wave
(26:43):
with record heat. There has been records set up and
down the Northeast and in New York City, And if
you're out in the heat every day, it is going
to get add up. So try to stay inside as
much as you can. Just it's gonna be better tomorrow.
It's gonna be much better on the weekend. It's gonna
a lot cooler on the weekend. So just be safe,
because man, there's nobody that goes outside that really would
(27:08):
like to stay outside for a long time.
Speaker 7 (27:09):
It feels like an armpit out here.
Speaker 8 (27:11):
It is booling.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
It feels like all one hundred degrees. Yeah, and how
about the fact that in Queens and in Staten Island
there's a whole lot of people without power and they're
going anywhere they can for an air conditioner.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
I went to Canara bread and I went to.
Speaker 8 (27:30):
To Food's sustaining their condition places because I just can't
fare to eat.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
That's so hot. That's how hot it got. She went
to eat tofu. Now, seriously, any place that has an
air conditioneder r. You don't care what they're serving. What
do you have tofu? Fine, bring it on, I'll eat
whatever you have to do, just so I can stay
here for an hour. There were a couple of senior
centers and that really, I guess they're just apartment buildings
(27:56):
with a lot of seniors in them. In Queens that
lost power completely. We have a lot of seniors here
who were just really sweating they were upstairs.
Speaker 8 (28:07):
It was really he was really very uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
It was really very dangerous, and so many of them
just left and look sat in Starbucks all day, extremely hot.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I unfortunately have fans, and so keep my apartment dark
during the.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Day and keep the fan bowing on me. Gets cooler
at night. I get open the windows and loot some
fresh air in. Yeah, and during the day, he was
just going out and staying wherever they were going to
allow him, allow him to stay. Have they been. I
guess they must be opening senior centers with air conditioning
all around the area because they are the most susceptible
at this time. I guess what we need to know
(28:42):
is when is this going to end? Because some horrible
things have already happened. And Natalie was just telling me
about a road in New Jersey.
Speaker 7 (28:51):
Yeah, two eighty seven. I mean we're talking about a
major interstate right around where I live. So exit fifty
three on two eighty t seven in Riverdale and again
around egg of forty seven in Montville.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
The road buckled.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
So what they're saying is the expansion joints on the
bridge areas right probably expanded and caused the road to buckle.
My son was driving not on two eighty seven, but
on another road where he could see, and he came home.
He's like, because it's because it's not moving, because it's
a parking lot.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
And then we found out the road.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
So now more emergency repairs.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Oh thank god. They didn't try to drive over that.
There's been videos shared on social media people running over
buckled roads. There's been several of them. Yeah, I mean,
and did you see the car? I mean that's been white.
Really do damage to your car? Yes, trust you. I
had an accident like that, just like that where I
was up in the air and that when you land,
(29:43):
that can ruin the entire foundation and all your electrics.
So don't try to go over a buckled road. Just
be smart and either stop or turn around or go
somewhere else. Do not ride over a road that is buckled.
I said that I was going to talk about the
economy really quick, and things are looking good, and that's
what the stock market is reacting to oil prices affect
(30:05):
everything and you probably already know that. But everything has
to be delivered, either by ship or by plane, and
it all takes fuel. It all is going to take oil.
So we are an oil dependent world. We're slowly trying
to come off that, but right now we are still
an oil dependent world. Well oil right now. I didn't
check the latest, but the last I saw it was
(30:26):
sixty four dollars a barrel and change. It was up
as high as one hundred in the last few months.
So this is a significant, significant drop in oil prices,
which means there is going to be coming up a
significant drop in gas prices, and that will mean a
(30:47):
significant drop in prices everywhere. It depends on how much
by the way the manufacturers decide to pass along the savings.
But if they do, if they're good stewards of their products,
then you are going to see lower prices everywhere. So
Jerome Pal stop please being an idiot and drop the
(31:09):
interest rates. He gets infury. He is as political as
everybody else. I can't wait until his term is up
so that he can be replaced. Fire between Israel and Iran,
is it going to bring lasting peace to the region. Finally,
(31:30):
we'll talk with high profile attorney Jeffrey Lichtman about that.
Oh boy, he's going to be good. That's coming up
after the seven o'clock news
