Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mornings.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Yesday, we're meant to be.

Speaker 3 (00:02):
It's time for menty in the morning, Lily, I'm seventy
ten wo.

Speaker 4 (00:08):
R good morning. Tell you it's gonna be a nice
one today. I hope you left the code at home.
If not, leave it in your car when you get
to work. It's gonna get up to eighty nine degrees today.
You know what stinks, though, you know what really stinks.
It's gonna be nice today. It's gonna beautiful today. It's
gonna be really nice tomorrow and then Saturday. Yeah, Saturday showers.

(00:30):
If we could just switch it around, like we could
take the showers today, the tours today, it'll be fine.
But we've been waiting for a nice weekend. And well,
Sunday is gonna be all right. Sunday's getting back down
to seventy five. It'll be beautiful, but partly Sunday. So anyway,
you don't need the code today. In the Big Three,
did you watch it? I was dreading watching this debate, thinking,

(00:54):
oh my god, there's too many people. It's gonna be dull. Wow.
In the first New York My or Old debate, it
turned into a Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Roast personal regrets.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Question was about your personal regret in your non politics
is said, I.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Regret the state of the Democratic Party is no person
you Trump.

Speaker 6 (01:18):
No regrets when it comes to cutting medicaidor healthcare. No
regrets when it comes to cutting child care. No regrets
when it comes to slow walking PPE and vaccinations in
the season of COVID to black and brown communities.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Really, no regrets. It was something We'll talk with Craig
McCarthy from The New York Post about the Cuomo roast
at seven thirty five. The Trump administration is threatening Columbia
University's accreditation for allowing anti Semitic behavior on campus, and
that affects one of the mayoral candidates in the debate

(01:51):
last night.

Speaker 7 (01:52):
My daughter is one of them in college right now.
My wife and children a Jewish. This is personal to me,
but I am and these mom Let's be clear, we're
incited by activists like the Democratic Socialists of America.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
By the way, zorin, mom, Donnie is a Democratic Socialist
and that's why he said that. That, by the way,
is Whitney Tilson, who I think nobody knew was running
until last night's debate. The FBI is making it crystal clear.
It is investigating the attack on Jews in Boulder, Colorado
as a terrorist attack.

Speaker 8 (02:27):
We're not the Federal Bureau of freaking word games anymore. Okay,
it's the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
That's Dan Bongino. He is the deputy FBI director, and
so the investigation into a terrorist attack will continue at
the FBI. Donald Trump's big, beautiful bill may be in
trouble in the Senate, with some calling for a whole
new bill.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
We don't have time for a brand new bill.

Speaker 9 (02:52):
And I want Elon and all my friends to recognize
the complexity of what we've accomplish here with this extraordinary
use of legislation.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Yeah you heard him, mention Elon. Elon Musk is the
one causing all of this. A handful of conservative senators
are concerned about the bill's price tag and adding to
the deficit. And Krene Jean Pierre has a new book
out trying to distance herself from not only Biden but
the Democratic Party. Karine, we all remember, do you believe.

Speaker 10 (03:24):
That the president is as sharp today as he was
when he took this job? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Slow down.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
What I can say is this is a president who
is strong and resolute in delivering for the American people.
That's what I see. He is as sharp as as
ever as I have known him to be in my engagement,
in my experience with him.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
And that was near the end of the administration. She
was still saying that the book isn't out until the fall.
But she put out a video because she wants to
distance herself from the Biden cover up. Now that's going
to be investigated by both Congress and the Justice Department.
I don't think it's going to work. But maybe now
that she distanced herself, she can be a witness. Go

(04:09):
to the iHeartRadio app and leave us a talk back
about anything. I'd love to know if you saw the debate.
I would love to know what your thoughts were in
the debate, because I seriously I knew I had to
watch the debate, but I'm thinking of myself. Oh, there's
nine people, most of whom nobody cares about, and most
of whom do not have any shot of winning. And

(04:32):
so you have to sit there, and everybody wants to
see Cuomo and Mandanni go out, go out of each other.
Everybody wants to see that. But wow, what it turned into.
It turned into as I said in the Big Three,
it was an Andrew Cuomo roast right off the top,

(04:53):
starting with Zorain Mamdani.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I am Donald Trump's worst nightmare as a progressive Muslim
immigrant who actually fight for the things that I believe in.
And the difference between myself and Andrew Cuomo is that
my campaign is not funded by the very billionaires who
put Donald Trump in DC. I don't have to pick
up the phone from Bill Ackman or Ken Langoing. I
have to pick up the phone for the more than
twenty thousand New Yorkers who contributed an average donation of

(05:16):
about eighty dollars to break fundraising records and put our
campaign in second place.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Mister spoted that, yeah, please.

Speaker 11 (05:24):
You know, mister Mandami, he's very good on Twitter and
with videos, but he actually produces nothing for him to
accuse me of lyne. He also called President Obama a
liar and said President Obama was evil.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
So take everything with a grain of salt.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
That just started it. It was a couple hours of that.
You know, there were some dull parts in between, but
it seemed like everybody on the Mamdani got some shots
because you know, he's rising and he's in second place.
But Cuomo was the one that they were going after constantly,

(06:02):
and he was trying to do the best he can could,
but he's taking incoming from everybody.

Speaker 11 (06:08):
Donald Trump would go through mister Montdombie like a hot
knife through butter.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
He's been in government twenty seven minutes. He passed three bills.
That's all he's done.

Speaker 11 (06:18):
He has no experience with Washington, no experience in New
York City.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
He would be Trump's the light.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Counsel Woman Ramos at the end had a great line.
She said. At one point they were asking what are
your greatest regrets? You know, it's one of those throwaway
questions you think it is because you want quick answers
from everybody. Turned out to be one of the best
questions at the debate because that's where a lot of
the tension came from. And we'll get to that in

(06:47):
a minute. But when they went to council Woman Ramos,
she said, my biggest regret is that I didn't run
four years ago because I had already passed twelve bills
through the council and I think made the city safer.
But I didn't run because I didn't have enough experience,
who knew that you can run just after making a

(07:08):
few good videos. That was a shot at Zorin mam Dami,
who's constantly taking criticism about the fact that he's just
not ready for any of this. It was so it
was such a Cuomo roast last night that Josh Eineger

(07:28):
had the lead report on Eyewitness News last night and
he pointed it out right off the top.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
One of my regrets is having trusted the leaders within
our own party, leaders like Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
From almost the first moment of this chaotic debate.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
The people who don't feel safe are young women, mothers,
and grandmothers around Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
That's the greatest threat to public safety in New York City.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
It was open season.

Speaker 12 (07:54):
It's not only that Andrew Cuomo lied to Congress, which
is perjury. He also lied to the greeming fan families
who's loved once he sent into those nursing homes to
protect his five million.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Dollar book deal.

Speaker 12 (08:06):
On one man, Andrew Cuomo has the nerve to talk
about defund when he signed the Bell Reform Bill with
loopholes that you didn't even wear.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Here's the thing. I have a feeling that a lot
of people didn't watch the debate. A lot of people
didn't watch it because you know, it was long, and
most of the people you didn't care about. So I'm
not sure the effect this is going to have. Except
now there's gonna be Ajiron on this, We're talking about
it on talk radio. It's going to be played on

(08:38):
the news constantly, and you're going to see just what
I played for you. You're going to see the attacks on
Andrew Cuomo. This is going to have an effect. And
the problem is who is it going to help? The
socialist the worst, the scariest candidate of everybody on that stage. Now,

(09:05):
I will say this in most of the poll's Adrian
Adams' third Now, she's as scary as zurein Mom Donnie,
maybe just a little less scarier. And by the way,
she did go after Cuomo right near the end that
in that do you have any regrets question?

Speaker 6 (09:23):
Personal regrets question?

Speaker 8 (09:24):
Was about your personal regret in your non politics is said, I.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Regret the state of the Democratic Party is.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
No no regrets when it comes to cutting medicaidor healthcare,
no regrets when it comes to cutting child care, no
regrets when it comes to slow walking Ppe and vaccinations
in the season of COVID to black and brown communities.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Really, no regrets. It was constant. It was constant. He
was the pinata at the kids party. They were all
taking shots at Andrew Cuomo. It's got to have an
effec It is scary though. It is a little bit
scary at who would then get the Democratic nomination and

(10:08):
automatically be the front runner for mayor. So you have
to now we have to like pray for Curtis Sliwa
or Eric Adams. Eric Adams is better than any of them. Wow,
there's gonna be an effect on this. I can't wait
to see the new polls because there's no question that

(10:28):
Andrew Cuomo took a beating last night and it's going
to have some type of effect. Hey, did you hear
about this story? Bear roams through a New York town
and had to be killed by police. But neighbors are asking,
wasn't there a better way? We'll have the answer to
that question next plus tickets to see The Beach Boys
at seven twenty five and twenty five Womney. Well, it's

(10:55):
gonna be one of those days for talkbacks. A lot
going on that is uh, pretty controversial, including that Democratic
debate last night. If you want to leave a talk back,
you go to seven to ten WR on the iHeartRadio app.
You click the talkback option and the microphone there and
then you're on the air. Good morning, Larry Well.

Speaker 8 (11:15):
I guess the Democrats will never fail to entertain us?

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Are you kidding me? She's gotta be kidding me. KJP,
the one who lied to us for four years every
single day. What a disgrace. And now she's writing a
book trying to make money on it, and she's leaving
the Democrat Party. Honey, you need to go back to
Fraggle Rock. Remember fragle Rock. That was I loved Fraggle Rock,

(11:48):
you did, Yes, I did. I don't like fragle Rock.
It was all those huge characters.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
That's what.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Yeah, I love fragle Rock KJB. She would fit in
it Fragle Rock. By the way, Uh, the debate and
Andrew Cuomo also got your attention.

Speaker 12 (12:06):
I have to hand it to Andrew Cromo.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
He really has thick skinned. He has what we call
an Italian avachia.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
That means he knows that he lies, and he lies
with a straight face.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
How could he run for mayor?

Speaker 2 (12:25):
After all?

Speaker 4 (12:26):
He did as governor.

Speaker 7 (12:28):
It just boggles the mind.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
What what's so amazing about it? And I agree with you,
And thanks for that term, Hachi Dosta. Have you you
heard that before, Hachi Dosta? No, I want to look
that up. That's that's a great term. But the the
alternative is what I'm worried about. Did you ever get
to the point where you thought to yourself, you know what,

(12:52):
Eric Adams, isn't that bad? Maybe maybe maybe we should
keep Eric Adams.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
I can't believe that's what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Well, where Curtis Lee was. I mean, it'd be great
if Curtis could do it. But I'm afraid that Zorn
mam Donni is going to win this. I've been saying
that for a while. I've been saying from the very beginning,
back when he was like at eight percent. Watch this guy.
Watch him. He's rising in the polls. A socialist, A

(13:19):
socialist as the mayor of the largest city in America.
The city will go absolutely broke. So just watch out
what you wish for it when you're going after Andrew Cuomo.
I mean, at least you know what you're getting Eric Adams.
You know what you're getting Curtis Lee would be wonderful.
It's just that a Republican has him won since since Bloomberg.

(13:45):
It's tough. That's a tough go for Republicans. But zorin
Mam Donnie that seems to be the worst choice. And
now the others seem to be rallying around zorin Mam
Donni and helping him. They're even gathering together saying vote
for him one, and Adrian Adams two and then Brad
Lander three. Is it is an absolute scary time in

(14:10):
New York if we're looking at a socialist running this city. Well,
there's a controversy right now in the town of Harrison
in Westchester County because they had a bear, a black
bear that was lost and just wandering a residential community.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
You could tell just by looking at him.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Anytime anybody any of the police department got close, the
bear was scared.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
No, he absolutely was scared. I've seen the video of him.
He was just looking for a way to get out.
He wasn't even looking for food. He was trying to
figure out where he was and he was looking to
get out. And so they the police showed up, and
the police showed up with a gun a long rifle
and went after him. And nobody likes to see this

(14:56):
end up being the final outcome, you know, innocent animal
being shot, right, That's what happened, and you saw it
right before it happened, and you had there was video
of the bear and I'll tell you what happened. So
they went after him and the bear climbed up into
a tree because the bear was scared. The bear just

(15:18):
wanted to get away from him, and they shot the
bear in the tree. That's terrible. Why didn't they trank him?
They usually trank in situations like that and then take
them to a sanctuary. They claimed they didn't have a tranquilizer.
But the story, the story gets a little bit more
complicated because they did call the Cottontail Cottage Wild Wildlife

(15:39):
Center and they said we can get a tranquilizer gone
over to in ten minutes.

Speaker 13 (15:44):
They did explain to the Harrison Police Department that they
did have equipment to tranquilize the bear and to assist
within ten minutes time. Harrison p d Did say that
they would get back to them. They never did.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Oh, and they listen to this and they also the
police department called the Department of Wildlife, and they said,
leave the bear alone. It will leave on its own.
If it's not a threat to anybody, it will leave
on his own. And you want the kicker to the story,
the police officer that shot the bear pose next to
it as if he was a hunter, and that was

(16:20):
his take him. No, it's not gonna be good for
anyone right now. The controversy continues, and we'll keep following
this to find out find out what happens.

Speaker 9 (16:31):
Back to Minty in the morning on woor.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Welcome back. Going to be a beautiful day today. I
hope you get to go outside and enjoy it a
little bit. Have you heard about I'm sure you've heard
about it by now. It is the I think it's
one of the most enjoyable stories of the day. The
fact that Corrine Jean Pierre is out with a book.

(16:58):
But she's not out with any book now. The book
I'd love to hear from her, right is like a
a Jake Tapper book about the fact that she comes
clean about all the lies she told, and she comes
clean about the fact that you know, President Biden was
just a bag of skin after a while. But no, no,

(17:21):
she's announcing she's leaving the Democratic Party.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
In an era of misinformation, disinformation, the regressiveness of social policy,
what we're seeing currently right now. What I have decided
to do, and I really have thought long and hard
about this, is to follow my own compass. And that's
what I've done, and that's what.

Speaker 12 (17:41):
This book does.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
And here's the truth, and here's how I relate to you.
I think we need to stop thinking in boxes and
think outside of our boxes and not.

Speaker 12 (17:53):
Be so partisan.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
The book is called independent. And why is she doing
that now? The book's not out to the fall, and
she's making this big announcement now to buy the book
in the fall. It's because she was a huge part
of the cover up and she is trying to get

(18:15):
so far away from that knowing you know, she was
the front person for the cover up. She was out
there lying constantly. And I get that the Press secretary's
job is a little bit different than the chief of staff,
who might be signing documents and might actually be running
the country because the president couldn't do it. I understand that.
I get that she's a little bit different, but she

(18:37):
took it to a whole another level. She was the
bagdad Bob of the Biden administration. She was lying every
single day. And it wasn't just at the end about
his competence. It was from the very beginning. Remember this
about the border.

Speaker 14 (18:55):
He's been there, He's been to the border, and since
he took off, since he took office, the President Biden
has been taking action to fix our immigration system and
secure our border.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Yeah, he was at the border when he was a
senator years ago. The question was is President Biden going
to the border, And she laughed it off, that laugh
of hers, that little smile that she gave, like, Oh,
that's so silly. You're asking if the president's mentally and confident.
That's so silly. She always just laughed it off. Everything

(19:32):
as the country was being was going downhill, as the
country was hitting record high inflation, record high gas prices,
an open border crime at a record in thirty major cities,
she was laughing it off the entire time. And now
she has the nerve to try to leave the whole

(19:52):
thing behind and say, well, I'm not a Democrat anymore,
see you later. Good luck with all of that. But
the worst part of it is is said she should
be one of the key witnesses she spoke to the
president a lot, and she lied and lied and lied
and lied about his mental capacity.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
When he meets with his team, When he meets with staff,
he is, as I said, incredibly engaged, as I said,
very sharp and ask us back and forth. We go
back and forth on whatever information, whatever is, maybe the
news of the day that's on his mind. And it
happens very often. And so that's my experience with him.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
But you all see him on the road now. We
read the Jake Tapper book and it didn't happen very often.
He rarely met with staff. I don't know if it
was napping or he was getting treatments or what, but
he wasn't engaged. Near the end, he just wasn't engaged.

(20:57):
And so this whole thing about him meeting with staff
all the time, in him running meetings and being sharp
and he's hard to keep up with, it's all a lie.
And that comes from everybody in that administration. And she
was the one. She was the smiling face that they
put out all of the time to laugh you off

(21:19):
if you even brought it up, to be disappointed in you.
I can't even believe you're saying that. And now she
has the nerve to try to leave it all behind.
What we would love from her? What the only thing
anybody wants from her? The only book that's worth reading

(21:39):
from her would be A mea Culpa. That's the book
that's worth reading from Karine Jean Pierre when she says, look,
I was told to say this. I had to get out,
I had to do my job. I was being pressured
to make certain that you all thought that he was

(22:01):
on top of things, even though he wasn't. I know
he wasn't. But constantly, day after day after day after day,
she was asked, almost on a daily basis. She was asked,
remember when the president wandered off on a field in France,

(22:23):
like he saw a butterfly or something. You know, it
was in the middle of something very solemn, and all
of a sudden, this guy's just wandering off. She said,
that was a what was it? A cheap fake? She
called it at the time, a cheap fake, like that
was a manipulated video. No, it was live and we
all saw it. It was the most it was the

(22:46):
worst lie you could tell. She was in charge of
the cover up, or at least she was the face
of the cover up. I'm sure somebody else was telling
her what to say, but she was the face of
the cover up.

Speaker 10 (22:58):
Do you believe that president is as sharp today as
he was when he took this job slowed down?

Speaker 1 (23:06):
What I can say is this is a president who
is strong and resolute in delivering for the American people.

Speaker 14 (23:12):
That's what I see.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
He is as sharp as as ever as I have
known him to be in my engagement, in my experience
with him.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Lie lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie all the time.
All she did was lie, And that's really not her job.
I know she's supposed to give the best, the best
look for the administration, the best story for the administration.
But you don't cross the line, and you don't lie.

(23:43):
Claudia Tenny remember when she wanted to reduce her salary
to like one dollar in Congress and she listed the lies.

Speaker 15 (23:51):
Just to name a few of her lies, Miss John
Pierre has claimed one illegal immigration is down under the
Biden administration. She also claimed nobody is just walking in
across the southern border. She also claimed that the twenty
sixteen election was stolen. She also claimed that Governor Brian
Kemp stole the twenty eighteen Governor's race from Stacy Abrams.

(24:13):
She also claimed that Biden's stimulus bill did not impact inflation.
She also claimed that critical race theory or its equivalent,
isn't being taught in our schools. She also claimed that
nobody has done more for the southern border or our
border in general than Joe Biden.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
That's Claudia Tenny, congresswoman from New York. I will tell
you what, I hope nobody buys this book unless unless
for some reason, there's something in there about how awful
she feels lying to the American public constantly on a
daily basis. If not, the only reason you should buy

(24:51):
this book is to burn it, you know, or to
prop open a door. But you know, just get a little,
get something else to proper your door. But I hope
this book fails because she she was the cover up
for a person that was destroying this country and she

(25:12):
should never be forgiven for that. Well, Donald Trump spoke
with Russian President Putin and posted on truth Social But
what he didn't say about the meeting spoke volumes. We'll
talk about that next set.

Speaker 9 (25:27):
A preset on the iHeartRadio app for sevent ten wor
here Larry Minty and all the wr hosts instantly now
back to Minty in the morning on wor.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Welcome Back, Well, Donald Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir
Putin for like an hour and a half yesterday trying
to negotiate some type of peace deal, and then he
posted on truth Social that he was very encouraged that
Vladimir Putin says he will help in the negotiations with
Iran to get Iran to give up its nuclear weapons program.

(26:08):
And so what was telling about the post is there
was nothing, nothing in it about a peace deal, and
so it spoke loudly the absence of anything about a
peace deal, anything about negotiations with Putin to end the
Ukraine War. The silence was loud because you know, if

(26:31):
there anything, there was any movement whatsoever, he would have
tweeted about it or put out on truth social about it.
And so it sounds like there is a stalemate. And
then a short while later he tweeted out again about
that conversation or put on truth social. I don't know
what you call it. A truth It was a good conversation,

(26:56):
but not a conversation that will lead to immediate peace.
That's disappointing that, but at least he's talking to Putin.
Unlike the last guy. President Putin did say and very strongly,
that he will have to respond to recent attacks on
his airfields. So it sounds like there's going to be

(27:18):
an attack and an attack soon on Ukraine in response
to what Ukraine did in this stunning attack taking out
over forty of their long range bombers and airfields all
across Russia. That was pretty amazing. But right now it
doesn't seem I mean, don't you get the feeling we're

(27:41):
not that close to a piece deal, especially with these
two firing back and forth at each other. But you know,
Ery Fleischer, who used to work in the White House,
said that's that is the only way this is going
to end.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
Look, I think the only way to get piece between
Ukraine and Russia is for uk to continue to bring
the war into Russia. That strike against the forty Russian
long range bombers was instrumental in telling Russian people on
the Russian government, there's a cost to you for continuing
your attacks in Ukraine.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
He's right, He's right. The only way that there's going
to be a negotiation of peace if Russia feels like
they're losing or even if there's a stalemate, if they
don't feel like they're going to move forward and they
keep losing resources, and they keep losing people, and they
keep losing infrastructure, like just like Ukraine is doing, then
after a while they can't keep moving forward, which means

(28:38):
the war continues, and then what is our involvement at
that point? Those are questions still to be answered. But
I was so hopeful for some type of peace deal.
I still am. I know Donald Trump's not giving up
on it. That's why he's not sanctioning Russia right now.
He knows once he does that the peace talks are over.
So you know we can do is pray at this point.

In the meantime, Donald Trump, with a surprise announcement yesterday,
is saying that after he saw what happened in Boulder, Colorado,
he had to take action.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
The recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado has underscored the
extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of
