Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning everyone, It's Friday, and thanks for spending your
Friday morning with us in the Big Three. Today. Well,
it is sentencing day for former Congressman George Santos, and
in a big interview that he did, you can tell
he's a little bit more than concerned that he might
be going to prison for stealing campaign funds.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Perably in protective custody, because I do fear for my safety.
I'm not somebody who's I didn't grow up in an
environment where I had to fend for myself.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Really, he seems tougher than that. Would you ever imagine
that that he wasn't that he got beat up as
a kid, or that he was not a tough kid.
I couldn't.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I was gonna say, what does that even mean?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
I think that it means that he fears he's going
to get beat up a lot in prison. Santos could
get sentenced over seven months, seven years, excuse me, in prison.
Nineteen year old is on to arrest right now in
Ocean County, New Jersey. Police believe he intentionally started one
of the largest wildfires in New Jersey history.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I'm not prepared to discuss the motive at this time,
nor does the state have to prove what the motive is.
We can just confidently say that we think the fire
was set intentionally.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Well, in custody is Joseph Kling of Where Town, New Jersey,
is now charged with second degree aggravated arson. And in
response to a fatal helicopter crash that killed six, the
New York City Council bans noisy, old helicopters from New
York City.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
The most outdated, loudest, and dirtiest helicopters will no longer
be allowed to fly out of our downtown Manhattan Heliport
or East thirty fourth Street Heliport starting in twenty twenty nine.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Well, what's interesting because congress Woman Nicole Mallyattakis says the
problem that they have in Staten Island is not with
the helicopters coming from Manhattan. They come from New Jersey.
And she has a solution to that. The Congresswoman is
coming up at eight thirty five. Cardinal Dolan is in
Rome right now. He held a mass for New Yorkers there.
(02:12):
He's there, of course for the Pope's funeral and then
the conclave to choose the new pope. Once you get
into the conclave, you better.
Speaker 6 (02:22):
Kind of know.
Speaker 7 (02:23):
So to that point, do you have an idea on
a direction you're leaning at this point?
Speaker 1 (02:28):
None of your business.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I have to love him.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, that was a great answer, and I love the real, deep,
honest sincere laugh laugh, Yeah he was. He got a
kick out of himself. That was Mike Brza, who was
over there for WABC. And Donald Trump says, once again,
we may be close to a peace deal between Russia
(02:57):
and Ukraine.
Speaker 8 (02:58):
We want to end that more, want to end it quickly.
And I think we've met alone a lot of progress
and we'll see what happens this next few days. It
is going to be very important. Meetings are taking place
right now.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
And let's stay with this for a second only because
it's huge in the world if they can come up
with a ceasefire and then a peace deal between Ukraine
and Russia. And Donald Trump, I know he said this
before and he felt like he's been close to this before,
which he gets a lot of criticism over, which I
of course believe is completely unfair because here's a guy
(03:32):
trying to bring trees, peace, save millions of lives, and
it's like people are looking at their watch going, well,
why didn't happen yet. How come it hasn't happened yet
because it's difficult. At least he tried. At least it
didn't just keep funding Ukraine like a meat grinder. There
(03:54):
was no way Ukraine was ever going to win this war.
It just was never going to happen. And we kept
funding it and funding it and funding that, making them
falsely believe they could hold on. But Russia can go
to war forever. So God blessed Donald Trump for actually
(04:17):
taking the initiative to say this has got to end.
I think we have a deal with Russia.
Speaker 9 (04:22):
We have to get a deal with Zelensky, and I
hope that Selensky. I thought it might be easier to
deal with Selensky. So far it's been harder. But that's okay,
it's all right. But I think we have a deal
with both.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
We have a deal with Russia. That's extremely important. But
Russia is basically getting everything they asked for. Russia's getting
the eastern part of Ukraine, which is not a huge part,
but it's big enough. Russia gets the concession that Ukraine
can't join NATO. Those two things we know for a fact.
(05:01):
Now there may be some other things, because I know
Vladimir Putin wanted to make certain that Zelenski didn't continue
on as president. I don't know if that is in
the deal they're talking about right now. But someone asked
the question, and it was an interesting question, said what's
in this for Ukraine? What is Russia conceding? What does
(05:23):
Ukraine get out of this deal? It seems like they're
giving up a lot. And Donald Trump had an answer
I didn't think of, but it's so obvious we all
should have thought of this.
Speaker 8 (05:33):
Stopping the war, stopping taking the whole country pretty big concession.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
That is a huge concession. So what he's saying, if
Ukraine signs this deal, they can continue to exist because
if this war continues, it seems like that was where
it was going, no matter how many arms are given
to them, that's where this was going because eventually that
(06:02):
money is going to run out. And if you think
about it, with the billions we gave and with the
billions NATO gave, Ukraine was still losing. They were losing ground,
they were losing infrastructure, and they were losing a massive
amount of people. And so this war had to end.
(06:24):
There was no question to that. And of course, the media,
which gives them no credit, which just seems to mock
him over these peace negotiations, saying, you know, looking at
their watch, going when's it going to happen? When's it
going to happen? Well, nobody even tried, No one even
tried before to end this. This president came in and
(06:45):
said I want to end this war. He should be
heralded for that, he should be a hero for that.
But no. As a matter of fact, what he was
asked was, well, are you conceding too much to Russia?
Are you cozying up to Russia?
Speaker 8 (07:02):
You don't know what pressure I'm putting on Russia they're dealing.
You have no idea what pressure I'm putting on Russia.
We're putting a lot of pressure. We're putting a lot
of pressure on Russia.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Right. It is incredible. The media has become so embarrassing,
so incredibly embarrassing. Now I don't expect them to suck
up to him, But my god, every question is negative.
And that was not the case under Biden. I could
(07:33):
see if it was consistent. If it was consistent, and
they just were tough on both all the time, that's fair.
But they gave Biden a pass, and they didn't only
give him a pass and the questioning, they gave him
a pass in never saying he had cognitive problems. And
they saw it. They knew it, They talked to their sources,
(07:56):
all of them knew it, and all of them hid this.
Thank God, from Marco Rubio. I cannot be more impressed
by the Secretary of State now, I will be honest
with you. I never thought a lot about Marco Rubio.
I thought he was fine, But man, did he step
up in this position and he lectured the media on
(08:18):
what Donald Trump's been doing.
Speaker 10 (08:19):
Of all the leaders in the world today, no leader
is working harder to prevent wars or end them than
President Trump is. Right now.
Speaker 11 (08:26):
We're trying.
Speaker 10 (08:26):
That's why we're talking to Iran, That's why we're engaged
with Ukraine and Russia. It's the desire to prevent these
wars from breaking out into end the ones that exist already.
And again, I just think it's tremendous for our country
to be led by a president who desires to bring
peace and establish peace and protect peace.
Speaker 11 (08:42):
So it's hard work.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
It's one of the reasons I voted for him. It's
one of the reasons I support him because he's never
sent a young man or woman to war, and I
had two young boys, and so it was very personal
to me and I come end him for that. There
are too many presidents that willy nilly send men and
(09:05):
women to their death in war, and he just will
not do it. And he tries to end wars around
the world. And our media doesn't give him credit. But
when he was there with the Prime Minister of Norway yesterday,
one of their reporters said, should Donald Trump get the
Nobel Peace Prize?
Speaker 12 (09:22):
Absolute President Trump for having been taking very important initiatives
to get this conflict towards and which both parties to serve.
We need to have a ceasefire, save lives and move
towards something which is more secure for Europe, for the
people concerned, and on that we work together and I
(09:43):
look forward to, you know, go into some details because
we are at the critical moment on that price. You
know that is a committee taking care of that, which
is completely working on its own terms, and I cannot
comment on that.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Thank you very much for that question. I like that point,
said the Prime Minister, of course wouldn't answer, But Donald
Trump commended the reporter for the question. So let's watch
this weekend is going to be key. Hopefully Monday we
can talk about a ceasefire. Wouldn't that be wonderful. I'm
sure the media will hate it, the Democrats will hate it,
but wouldn't that be wonderful? You know what we need
(10:19):
right now? We need rain. Will the rain that's expected
this weekend help the wildfires in New Jersey? And how
much do we need to make a difference. We'll have
an extended conversation with War's Weather Channel meteorologist Jeff Mahr
when we return plus tickets to see the Brotherhood of
Rock tour at age twenty five. Well, I seem to
(10:41):
have that wildfire and Ocean County, New Jersey contain they're
saying still fifty percent contained, but it sounds like they
have a fire line around it and they're praying and
praying and praying for rain. And before we get to
Jeff maher in a second, I do want to take
a moment every time we talk about the fire to men,
the firefighters. Please, if they show up at your restaurant,
(11:03):
they deserve a free meal, a pat on the back.
Thank a firefighter in Ocean County because most of them
are volunteers, and they did. They pulled off a miracle,
one of the biggest wildfires ever. No loss of life.
Some cars were burned, one building, one warehouse was burned
to the ground. Other than that, there was no loss structures.
(11:27):
It was just amazing what they did. So please thank
a firefighter today. Depending on what Jeff Marr says, we'll
thank him and maybe we won't thank him, depending what
he says. Coming up, I know we're getting Hey Jeff,
how are you? Thanks for being with us today? Good,
I'm okay. Well let's see, let's see what you say.
So you have rain coming up this weekend? Right, we
(11:49):
definitely have rain. I guess the big question is will
it be enough.
Speaker 13 (11:54):
Well, we got a pretty decent chance of getting a
half inch to an inch of rain, and we'll certainly
take that because we've got a depthsit for the year
already approaching almost three in quarters of an inch of
as far as our lack of rainfall so far, So
we'll take the rain. Of course, if you've got after
our activities playing tomorrow, you may not want to hear
that bit. It will help the wildfire situation, but out
ahead of that front that's going to bring us to
(12:15):
the rainfall. Today, we've got an elevated fire risk covering
all of Jersey and also the eastern part of Pennsylvania
with low relative humidities running between about twenty five to
thirty five percent and wins peaking up out of the south,
So any fires that were to develop mainly across Jersey
and eastern Pennsylvania could cause some proms today.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Many areas in New Jersey and going into upstate New
York and just some of the northern suburbs, they have
severe deficits right now. This is won't put it, will that?
Will this even put a dent in that?
Speaker 13 (12:45):
I may put a little bit of a dent in it.
But then once this front moves through and the rain
tapers off later on Saturday evening, will have dry weather
and some gusty wins behind that front. Sunday, we're going
to stay dry heading from Monday all the way through
next Wednesday and Thursday, and temperatchurch will start to warm
back up a little bit before dropping finally next Thursday.
But the next front that moves through is going to
be a dry frontal passage. So once we get past
(13:06):
this round of rain. Yeah, we're back into the dry
weather pattern unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
And look, I know that you guys don't like to
look too far into the future because it gets to
be really iffy, But do you see anything at all?
Is there anything that might be approaching us with rain?
Speaker 13 (13:22):
Well, the no seasonal outlook has above average precept for May, June,
and July, and we usually get the bulk of our
rain cross the Tristy area as we head towards the
start of the summer months. July is usually the wettest month,
so you know, if that's the case, that will certainly
be some good news. And also temperatures look to be
a little bit above average, and that's certainly been the
case recently, will be the case into Saturday with the
mid to upper seventies before we cool a little bit
(13:43):
on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
We'll keep our fingers crossed. It's weird to be hoping
for rain, but.
Speaker 13 (13:47):
Yeah, yes, it is, especially during the weekend, but we'll
take what we can get Saturday and Saturday night. And
if you want dry weather, Sunday's your best bet. A
little bit cooler behind that front with low sixties, but
you'll be drying on Sunday and then temperatures warm back
up into the seventies Monday and Tuesday and sunshine.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
All right, wor and Weather Channel mediorologist Jeff Maher, thanks
so much, Jeff for taking some extra time with us.
Speaker 14 (14:07):
You got it.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Now, let's get to some talkbacks. By the way, if
you want to leave a talkback, you can go to
the iHeartRadio app. You look for seven to ten wor
and there is the talkback feature. You push the microphone.
By the way, if you don't like what you've said
the first time, you can edit it. And then you're
on the air.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
Larry, you are insane. You're sitting here and you're actually
believing that Trump is a good negotiator. He gave Russia
everything everything. Okay, Ukraine was invaded and we were winning
that war until Trump got here and decided, oh, well,
I'm not going to give you any more money. And
then that Bouten sat there and started killing you Ukrainian
(14:46):
people innocently and isn't stopped. That's all on Trump.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Well, that's amazing, that's all on Trump because all of
the land that was taken by Russia, you know, when
Ukraine was winning that war and they had to give
up all that land to the east when they were
winning that war, and their infrastructure is completely demolished. That
was all Biden. He was just pouring money into a
meat grinder and never once picked up the phone and
(15:13):
called Putin, never once tried to negotiate peace. And how
dare you say that a president that actually went into
office saying I want to end this war is on
the wrong side of history. The democratic in the left
mind is so infected that they can't see reality. First
(15:33):
of all, he's not doing the negotiations. Steve Witkoff is
doing the negotiations with a whole team of negotiators. Right,
He's just the one that says I want to end
this war, which the last president never did. And so
now we should be hoping, right, shouldn't you be hoping
along and praying along with us that he end this
(15:54):
war and stop the killing and stop Russia from moving in.
At least he's trying, And it looks like this weekend
is going to be a big deal. Will can it
fall apart? Maybe? But I God bless him for trying,
because the last president just funded a meat grinder. Appreciate
(16:17):
the talk back, though you got me all worked up,
so let's get the Jaqueline car with the six thirty news.
Speaker 15 (16:23):
Hey Jacqueline, Hey Larry, good morning. Luigi Manngioni is set
for raiment on federal murder charges today. The twenty six
year old is accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian
Thompson last year. He was indicted last week by a
federal grand jury in New York, and Attorney General Pam
Bondi says she plans to pursue the death penalty. And
New York City officials are destroying illegal guns that have
(16:47):
been seized and turning them into a gun violence memorial.
Speaker 16 (16:51):
Mayor Eric Adams and the police Commissioner gathered with the
community and faith leaders to put more than thirty three
hundred guns through a recycling chipper. Adam says the chewed
uh gun parts then will be donated to a New
York City school.
Speaker 17 (17:03):
With students, and the weld In Vocational Program will create
a memorial to honor victims of gunenvironess.
Speaker 16 (17:11):
The mayor says more than twenty one thousand illegal guns
have been taken off the streets since he was elected.
He credits that in part to a huge drop in
shootings in the city. I'm Scott Pringle WRDWS.
Speaker 15 (17:21):
Now, some people are gonna love this story and others
there's gonna be a lot of eye rolling. Online pet
product store Chewy just said I do to pet fashion
with a brand new wedding collection that will have your
furry friend is already so think tuxedos, bridle gowns, pet
of honor, bandanas, and even tiny ring pouches for pups
(17:43):
and kittens with outfits priced under thirty dollars and a
five thousand dollars VIP wedding package up for grabs in
their Chewy's wedding contest. Couples can now include their pets
in their big day with some serious style, because every
good love story needs a four lege get best man
or flower girl. I thought they were doing it for like,
(18:03):
because I've heard of people like having weddings for their dogs.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Yeah, it's about that.
Speaker 15 (18:08):
But this is apparently so that at least the wedding package,
the VIP wedding package is for you if you want
your pets to come down the aisle with you.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I'm just going on.
Speaker 15 (18:20):
Wreckers saying I love it, but I know that there
are some eye rolling going on right now.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
I think it's from Larry well In to Jacqueline.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
I'm not going to say what I was going.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
To say it because they get it.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I would disown my children if they did something like this.
There's no question it's It's not even for the pets.
It's for the owners. The pets. I'm sure hate it.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
They do.
Speaker 15 (18:46):
They hate getting My dog hates getting dressed up. Wait
a second, you dress up your dog just for a picture,
like on Halloween. I'll put a costume on, take a picture,
and take it right back off because I'm not I know.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I don't want my dog to run away.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
You're one step away from a pet wedding.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I would do a pet wedding. If I had the
cashola to like add that on.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
I would be in that.
Speaker 18 (19:08):
Speaking of Chewie, I receive more direct mail from Chewie
and I've never had a pet. I don't know how
I got on their mailing list, but I must get
something at least once a week from them.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
All right, Chewy, check your algorithm. There's something going wrong
with your algorithm. Thanks so much, Jacqueline carl enjoyed the
pet wedding woke leftist policies have infected our schools, they
have infected our military, and they have infected our media.
And it's slowly but surely all being changed. We'll give
(19:42):
you the latest examples next welcome back. I don't know
if you've noticed, but the Trump administration slowly but surely
is trying to remove woke leftist policies from everything, from
everything the military. We have an example of that this week.
(20:03):
From the media. We have an example of that this week,
and from the schools. And that may be the biggest example.
You've probably heard about the Supreme Court arguments over the
Montgomery County School District in Maryland. That they were forcing
this is the important word. They were forcing children as
(20:27):
young as three to listen to LGBTQ stories that were
sexual and also had things like bondage. They were forcing
them to do that. Here's what I didn't know until
just recently. The teachers disagreed, the parents disagreed. The school
(20:48):
board was the one forcing this through, and all of them,
of course, democrats, forcing it through. Now the parents fought
for a while and said, we don't want our children
to be hearing this. They don't even understand this. Right now,
we want them out of the classroom. And they said, okay,
(21:08):
if you want your children out of the classroom, that's fine,
you don't have to sit through this. Well, nobody showed up.
They had empty classrooms. Because most parents aren't crazy, even
if they believe in democratic policies, they don't want that
inflicted on their children. And so the school board then
(21:29):
changed their edict. They said no, no, no, you cannot
take off. For that reason, they forced the children to
listen to this garbage. And so now who knows how
this kept going all the way up to the Supreme Court.
You know how much legal money that is. Well, I
guess they feel like it's the district paying for it,
(21:51):
its taxpayers paying for it. So we'll just keep fighting
it all the way, all the way to the Supreme Court. Well,
it's gonna get thrown out because the dreame Court judges.
I think it's going to be eight to one. Sotomayor
seems to be okay with it, which is really bizarre.
But this is the This is the back and forth
(22:12):
with the attorney from the school district with Justice Neil Gorsich.
When he started talking about the fact this I saw
I read a book that has bondage in it, and.
Speaker 14 (22:24):
They're being used in English language instruction at age three,
some of them. Pride Puppy was the book that was.
Speaker 19 (22:32):
Used for the pre kindergarten curriculum.
Speaker 14 (22:34):
That's no longer in the curriculum.
Speaker 7 (22:35):
That's the one where they are supposed to look for
the leather and things and bondage things like that.
Speaker 14 (22:40):
It's not bondage and sex worker. Right, No, no, it's
not correct.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Nought.
Speaker 14 (22:46):
Gosh I read it, Greg.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Queen direct, I love that. Gosh, I read it. It
was a drag queen in bondage and they high how
is that not a sex worker in a book called
Pride Puppy that apparently was okay? And but Justice Kavanaugh
may have brought up the best point. We're not talking
(23:13):
about free speech here. We're not talking about a constitutional issue.
We're talking about you forcing parents to send their kids
to school to hear this garbage.
Speaker 14 (23:24):
They're not asking you to change what's talking in the classroom.
They're not asking you to change that at all. They're
only seeking to be able to walk out so that
they don't have to the parents don't have their children
exposed to these things that are contrary to their own beliefs.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Even Justice Elena Kagan God bless her, a Democrat, a liberal,
didn't understand this.
Speaker 20 (23:50):
These are you know, young kids, picture books and on
matters concerning sexuality. I suspect there are a lot of
non religious parents who were into all that.
Speaker 14 (24:00):
Thrilled about this.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
So as liberal as our justice system is, as woke
as our justice system is, after ruling after ruling after
ruling in the district courts up against immigration, to keep
terrorists here, to keep gangbangers here, Mack Mood Khalil and
(24:23):
a Brago Garcia, they're protecting them and not protecting the public.
At least we have a sane Supreme Court that is
trying to right all these wrongs. So that's the Justice
department we were talking about. How about the military. You
won't believe the military exceptions there are for combat troops.
Speaker 7 (24:47):
So this is current DoD policy that we inherited. It
still permits medical waivers concerning medical conditions like schizophrenia, congestive
heart failure, cystic fibrosis, and chronic use of oxygen. Now
there's one more that I didn't know what it was,
so we had to look it up. Current d D
(25:09):
policy still allows for paraphilic disorders.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
All of those for warfighters, people that have to go
into combat, and so the standards and also they lowered
the standards on how strong you had to be, you know,
which means you could be fighting next to someone, you
could get shot. They can't carry you to safety. So
Pete Hagsas has changed all of that, and he got
(25:35):
rid of all these exceptions. That's why he did that
video to say that he was getting rid of all
these exceptions. He's raised the standards, especially for those who
are going to fight in war, and he got rid
of all the DEI policies. And guess what, Recruitment has
skyrocketed since then. It was suffering. That's why they made
all those exceptions. It was suffering under Biden. It's skyrocketing.
(25:57):
Now do you hear anything about that in the media. No,
not at all, because the media is just as infected.
That's why when Bill Maher went and met with President Obama,
excuse me, President Trump. He talked about Obama.
Speaker 21 (26:11):
I never felt I had to walk on eggshells around him.
And honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I
would never feel comfortable talking to them. The way I
was able to talk with Donald Trump. That's just how
it went down.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Make of it what you will.
Speaker 14 (26:26):
Me.
Speaker 21 (26:26):
I feel it's emblematic of why the Democrats are so
unpopular these days.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Well that well, they were furious with him. Bill Maher,
an old school liberal, defending Donald Trump, saying he's a
good guy. Larry David came out and wrote an editorial
in The New York Times saying it was like having
dinner with Hitler to use the Hitler thing.
Speaker 21 (26:49):
First of all, I just think it's kind of insulting
to six million dead Jews. You know, like that should
kind of be in its own place in history. And
you know, I know people can say, well, we're just
comparing it in this way. Well, it's an argument you
kind of lost just to start it. It's just it's just, look,
(27:11):
maybe it's not completely logically fair, but Hitler has really
kind of got to stay in his own place.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
He is the goat of evil. He is the goat
of evil evil. But there is something that goes crazy
with the Left when they don't get their way, even
though they're policies. Now, look, I believe their hearts are
in the right place, but they don't think of the
ramifications of what they do, and thank god they're no
(27:40):
longer in power, because we were on the brink of
going absolutely crazy. Oh well, poor George Santos admits that
he doesn't have the money to pay restitution and may
have to go to jail. You'll hear for yourself next.
And you want to add to the conversation, leave us
a talk back. Go to seven to ten WR on
the iHeartRadio op and click microphone. As always, I really
(28:02):
really appreciate your talkbacks. You inspire conversation and you make
the show that much better. To leave one, go to
seven to ten WOOR on the iHeartRadio app and you
get on the air.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
I can't even believe how unfair the media is asking
the questions about peace when I don't even know the
president Trump's favorite ice cream flavor. Come on, people, get
in get in line.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
What is his favorite ice cream flavor?
Speaker 13 (28:30):
Do we know that?
Speaker 1 (28:32):
For some reason, I think we know that.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I feel like, is it chocolate chip?
Speaker 8 (28:37):
No?
Speaker 1 (28:37):
But you know what he's making. I just realized what
he was saying, because that was the questions that were
asked to Biden.
Speaker 17 (28:43):
Remember, Oh no, no, I know, I know why you say that.
Oh no, no, no, no, I do know why you're
saying it. But now I am curious. Let me go
ask AI. Maybe they'll tell us.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
All right, we'll go to the next talk back in
the meantime as we wait breathlessly for what the favorite
ice cream of Donald Trump is.
Speaker 11 (29:00):
You know, Larry, I would think someone with your longevity
in the broadcast world would understand the democratic mindset by now.
It can all be summed up very easily. It's all
horse feathers.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
That's very funny. They're clever today. Good morning.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
All I have to say is clothing on pets, and
particularly wedding clothing on pets.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
One word dumb, Jacqueline.
Speaker 15 (29:30):
Dumb, fun fun, dumb. I don't know's I get it.
I said there were people who roll their eyes, but
other people like it. They want their pets. It's part
of their family. They think it's it'll be cool if
you have the extra scratch.
Speaker 13 (29:44):
Why not.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
I think it's a little tiny minority that likes this.
But God bless them.
Speaker 15 (29:50):
God, Hey, listen in New York, in LA, they spent
a fortune on their pets.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
They're not hurting anybody by having any pet. Weddings should
be in school for these little kids.
Speaker 14 (30:00):
It's a no brainer.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
It just makes no sense to have those books in there.
Speaker 8 (30:05):
Whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
They should have been reading about giraffes, some freaking monkeys,
the world sick man, very sick. It's getting worse. Yeah,
on Friday, giraffes and monkeys, but in a normal way,
not in the books that they were FORCID. No, no, no, no,
not any of.
Speaker 18 (30:22):
It if you do care. Biden's favorite flavor was chocolate chip.
Speaker 11 (30:27):
I knew.
Speaker 18 (30:27):
I remember that in some extensive news reporting that was done.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
So that was it.
Speaker 18 (30:32):
But apparently Donald Trump, according to AI, his ice cream
favorite is cherry vanilla.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Oh really a little different.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Didn't know all that. See, you asked the questions, we
have the answers. Let's talk a little bit about George Santos.
Thanks so much for your talk backs. Please keep them coming.
And that one. I'm sorry I missed the joke about
the ice cream, but that was very funny. Everybody's been
good today. So let's talk about George Santos a little bit,
because I don't know what it is about George Santos.
(31:02):
I know I should think of him as a villain.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
I don't, but he's lovable in an odd way.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
He is like, I kind of like George Santos, and
do you want him to go to prison? I want
him to be around so we can make fun of him.
He goes in the prison, he'll just be kind of gone.
But George Santos, by the way, is supposed to is
in court today and he's supposed to play over three
(31:29):
hundred and fifty thousand dollars in restitution for taking money
out of his campaign funds illegally for himself, including for
some plastic surgery, and in an exclusive interview yesterday, he said,
I don't have that kind of.
Speaker 22 (31:43):
Money as of today.
Speaker 19 (31:44):
Right now, I am unable to pay anything. I don't
know if that's going to change within the next twenty
four to forty eight hours prior a sentencing, because I
am still working on trying to make some kind of
meaningful attempt at restitution.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Because it's my it's my obligation. He's changed, He's saying
all the right things right now.
Speaker 18 (32:01):
Wait a minute, he thinks he's gonna come up with
thirty thousand dollars in the next day, three.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Hundred and seventy three thousand, But thirty thousand if he
can bring to court. He had a GoFundMe page up
for a while and he didn't really raise any money.
I do you kind of feel bad for the guy
and now out of nowhere, after social media posts that
he's now asking the judge to ignore calling the Justice
(32:26):
Department a cabal of pedophilia. He has remorse, of course
I do.
Speaker 22 (32:31):
And I think it's so preposterous for the prosecutors to
take social media tweets and try to depict and create
a narrative.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
I can't believe the media is taking things I actually
said and using them against me. How unfair are they?
Speaker 11 (32:54):
Now?
Speaker 1 (32:54):
He look and he's hoping. He's hoping for Donald Trump
to intervene and to get a part ner to get
his sentence commuted. Anything. He's hoping for anything, because he said,
I am not going to be able to survive in.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Prison, preferably in protective custody, because I do fear for
my safety. I'm not somebody who's I didn't grow up
in an environment where I had to fend for myself.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Yeah. I couldn't imagine him not being a tough guy
growing up. Anyway, this sentencing is today. We'll have more
on it come Monday. In the meantime, rob Astorino just
viewed the Pope, who was lying in state at the Vatican.
We're going to talk to him about it and tomorrow's
funeral after the seven o'clock News
