Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. Tell you hope you had a great weekend.
A lot going on today. Wow over the weekend news
drop left and right. Let's start with this. In the
Big three, Eric Adams is out of the race.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
I cannot continue my re election campaign. The constant media
speculation about my future and the campaign finance boys decision
to with whole millions of dollars have undermined my ability
to raise the funds needed for a serious campaign.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
We, of course, I'll be talking about this all morning.
Can't wait to see the first polls out after this happened.
There's a lot of attention on all the other candidates.
Weve reaction from zorin Mam Donnie wove At, reaction from
Andrew Cuomo. And we have Republican candidate for mayor, Curtis
Lee with his reaction live here at nine to oh five.

(00:55):
Will he drop out next? We will ask him and
after a new poll shows the New Jersey race for
governor is tied. It is followed by another scandal for
Democratic candidate for governor Mikey Cheryl, as military records show
she was disciplined for covering for others who cheated on

(01:18):
their final exams.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
She was not allowed to participate in her graduation ceremony.
She was punished by the Naval Academy and saying that
she was covering her friends is code for a line
to investigators. And so she needs to come clean and
she can very easily do that by approving the release
of her disciplinary records, but she won't do that, which
strongly suggests that she'll continue to lie about this issue.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Now you know, Cheryl has already been reprimanded by Congress
for using her position to enrinch herself with lucrative stock deals.
Her campaign is now on life support. We're going to
talk with Newest Jersey columnist Mike Kelly about this coming
up just a little bit. A study of the brain

(02:04):
of the Park Avenue mass shooting gunman Shane Tomorra shows
he did, in fact suffer from t CTE from concussions
playing football.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
It certainly could be a contributing factor. And to me,
when this happened, I thought, like so many in my field,
that there's really an ever increasing urgency for us to
look more into this relationship between hits to the head
and a likelihood for violent behavior and mental illness later
on in life.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Are we close to a piece deal in Gaza. President
Trump hinted at that that would end the war at
least for the time being, between Israel and Hamas.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
I think it's a deal that will get the hostages back.
It's got to be a deal that will end the war.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
It's got to be a deal with it's got to
be a peace.

Speaker 7 (02:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
We don't have any details of that possible deal or
if any of or all of the hostages will be
released yet. We'll be talking about that throughout the morning.
Another mass shooting, this one at a Mormon church in Michigan.
The shooter also set fire to the church.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
We believed that that was deliberately set by this suspect.
We do believe that we will find additional victims once
we have that scene secured.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, and that has happened. Two more bodies have been found,
bringing the death toll now there till four. The shooter,
Thomas Jacob Sandford, was killed by police at the scene,
making a total of five dead. Finally, former FBI director
James Comy is charged with two federal charges for lying

(03:49):
that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians in the
twenty sixteen presidential election.

Speaker 8 (03:56):
President Trump understands that city like Memphis need federal resources.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
He understands what the city. That's not him at all.
That's the mayor of Memphis, very excited, extremely excited that
troops are coming to his city. Nobody else is excited
about it except for the governor of Tennessee. In Portland.
Now they're talking about sending troops in Chicago again, They're

(04:23):
talking about sending troops. So stay tuned. This is going
to get really, really interesting. And the Jackson Dart era
has begun.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
Here's a run again by Dark first Nintendo, taking in
his first Coreo.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Touchdown how much times on Top. The rookie quarterback leads
the Giants to their first win of the season over
the Los Angeles Chargers. The Legend Warner Wolf will talk
about Jackson Dart's debut coming up at seven thirty five.
But let's talk about the mayoral race, shall we. Things

(05:02):
just got really interesting. And by the way, if you
want to chime in on the mayoral race, go to
the iHeartRadio app leave us a talkback. You could win
a limited edition MENTI in the Morning t shirt, which
will be awarded every day to our favorite talkback of
the morning and while you're on the free iHeartRadio app,
be sure to set a preset for seven to ten

(05:22):
wo R. All right, now, let's talk about it. We
had surmised for a while that this might happen, and
then for some reason it looked like it wasn't going
to happen. If I would have stuck to my guns,
I would have looked like a genius, because I said
a couple of months ago, no, he's right, he's jumping out.
He's definitely getting out. And then I, you know, I
got to the end and I'm thinking, no, maybe he's not.

(05:44):
Maybe he's he's really gonna stick this out. But no,
Mayor Adams is now officially out of the mayor's race.

Speaker 9 (05:53):
Major change is welcome and necessary. To beware of those
who claim the answer to who destroyed the very system
we built together over generations. That is not changed. That
is chaos. Instead, I urged New York to choose leaders
not by what they promised, but by what they have delivered.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I'll tell you what that was an endorsement of Andrew Cuomo.
He never said his name, he never said mom Donnie's name,
but what he was talking about, of course, to beware
of those with no experience who promised the world and
can't deliver. That was Mom, Donnie. And the somebody that
has experience that could do a better job, that of
course was Andrew Cuomo. So we never came out and

(06:40):
said it, but that's what he was saying there. What
I can get out of my head is Curtis Leiwa
from last week. Remember when he came out and he said,
I was offered a bribe and I'm not going to
take it. Curtis Leewa can't be bribed. And then he
said this.

Speaker 10 (06:58):
I anticipated any moment Eric Adams will have determined that
the price is right and he'll be bowing out now.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
If there is a job and or money involved, we
may never know about it, because I think everybody's too
smart for that to happen right away. The money will
probably never know about if there was any money involved,
and we can't even assume we're alleged that that's true.
But the job, if there's a job for him, my

(07:31):
feeling would be it would be he would get it
after he left office, so it wouldn't be for months
for now. But let's get some reactions, shall we. Let's
get Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 11 (07:42):
I applaud his selflessness. You know, we often wonder is
it about us or is it about a greater calling?
And I think what Mayor Adams said today speaks a volumes.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
So he's thrilled. He's assuming he's going to get all
of his votes, and all of his votes means anything
from nine percent, which was the last poll showed up
until twelve percent possibly, and that's not going to be
enough to beat Mom Donnie. He's going to need more
than that. Now here's what I'm really disappointed by, more

(08:20):
than anything else. Don't you think that zorin Mom Donnie
would be thrilled by this and rather than kick a
guy when he's down, talk about Mayor Adams in glowing terms,
say how much he appreciates this and what a difficult

(08:44):
move it was for him. Now he decided he was
going to kick a man when he's down.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
I think the race continues to be the same as
it was, where it's a race between us and the
failed politics that we've seen, whether it's Andrew Kuiomore Eric Adams.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Yeah, so he talked about the failed policies. He believes
they're teaming up on him right now. That's what's going on.
But he just kept kicking at Eric Adams. And Eric
Adams is gone. Eric Adams, he's not running against anymore.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
This is a mayor who raised the rent by twelve
percent on more than two million New Yorkers, a mayor
who priced New Yorkers further out of childcare, a mayor
who has time and time again exacerbated a cost of
living crisis, whether by raising the water bill or supporting
Connitison when they wanted to raise gas and electric. And
so I wouldn't take advice on addressing that same crisis
from the man who's been inflaming it time and time again.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
To me, that's classless. To me, it's disappointing that he
couldn't rise to the occasion and say something too nice
about the former mayor, say something nice about a guy
he's not running against anymore. He gets nothing out of
that except just to kick a man when he's down.

(09:56):
He's got to know. I thought he was brighter than that.
He's got to know to turn that off. But apparently
he doesn't love to know what you feel about the race.
Go to the iHeartRadio app and leave us a talkback.
You could win a Menti in the Morning T shirt.
Why did country music icon Dolly Parton cancel her Laus
Vegas residency. We'll explain after the break. Plus, the Super

(10:20):
Bowl halftime show performer has just been revealed. Is it
Tailor that's coming up next? Well, thanks for your talkback.
See you can keep him coming. Every time you send
us a talkback, you're in the running to win a
limited edition Menti in the Morning T shirt that's going
to be awarded daily to our favorite message of the day.
And don't forget the best talkback of the week takes

(10:42):
home a sea crane radio. Sea crane radios that work
when it matters most. And the first thing you want
to talk about is Mayor Adams dropping out of the race.

Speaker 12 (10:55):
Wow, this is proof then Mayor Adams is a true politician.
I'm not quitting. I'm not leaving no way, I'm not
going anywhere. That's not going to happen. It's impossible. I've
told you before. How many times do I have to
tell you goodbye?

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Just like that?

Speaker 12 (11:11):
Maybe Trump can give him an ambassadorship to Turkey. I
think he has some kind of connection there.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's right, he does have a connection there. Wouldn't that
be ironic. By the way. He was on with Reverend
Al Sharpton and MSNBC the night before he announced he
was quitting, and even then he was saying, I'm not
getting out of the race. I'm staying in this race. Now,
what are the chances? He hadn't made his decision until

(11:40):
the next morning and gathered the TV equipment and wrote
his speech and had the teleprompter ready. Do you think
that all happened just within hours? He called as Sharpton
was on MSNBC talking about it the next day, and
he said he got a call from ma He didn't
know at all, he was shocked by it, and he

(12:02):
got a call from Mayor Adams apologizing, saying he couldn't
tell him at that moment. I wonder how many other
phone calls he had to make apologizing before he made
the speech, so he said. Trimpton said, I knew hours before,
but I didn't know the night before. Yeah, I'm not
gonna hold that against him. I think that's typical politician stuff.
The only guy that doesn't do that. The only guy

(12:24):
that really opens up about that stuff is Donald Trump,
who's not a politician, or wasn't until he got involved.
With the election in twenty sixteen. So he didn't grow
up the same way. He grew up just saying what
was on his mind. So that's what made him different.
That's why he won the election the first time. He

(12:44):
was refreshing. He was different. Now. I don't know if
you've heard this right, but Dolly Parton, Dolly Parton who's
known for working all of the time, she runs a
mess of operation down in Nashville, and now she was
going to have this short term residency in Las Vegas

(13:08):
and she was practicing for this new show. Well, she
had to go to the hospital, she said on Truth
on No Truth Show on Twitter, she said she she
said she had her one hundred thousand mile checkup, and
she also clarified that the visit was not about plastic surgery.

(13:30):
But she found out that she need a couple a
couple things done. She needed a couple of things fixed.
They need to get under the hood and make some adjustment.
She said, it's nothing serious, but she has to put
off the tour for now, so she announced it will
now take place in September twenty twenty six while she

(13:52):
recovers from whatever she has to go through. So Dolly
Parton is fine. The reports early that she was taking
the hospital and that something serious was happening. She says, no,
that's not the case. It's just some regular stuff. But
her doctor told her she has to take rest, so
that's fine. We do know who's going to perform at

(14:15):
Super Bowl fifteen. Fifty sixty was fifteen. We've gone back
into sixty sixty. Yeah, I don't know my Roman numerals either.
I forgot that Super Bowl sixty Man fifteen that I
whone was in super Bowl fifteen.

Speaker 13 (14:36):
They might not have had a halftime show. Then who knows?
That was in olden times.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
No old time. Let me just tell your crash is amazing.
He jumped in my ear right away and said Eagles Raiders.
Oh my goodness, that's scary.

Speaker 8 (14:48):
He really is.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
That's scary. That's rain Man good. It really is like that.
So anyway, it's not going to be Taylor Swift, as
everybody's surmised. It might be saying that she's left Easter
eggs and that you know it's because Travis is there
and it's the sixtieth. It is going to be bad Bunny.
Bad Bunny spoke about it on the ex post. He said,

(15:12):
it's the only show he's going to play in the
United States because of the immigration policies. So bad, Bunny,
is your halftime show not as exciting as Taylor Swift.
Now let's get to Jacqueline Carl with the six thirty News.
Jacqueline Hey Larry.

Speaker 13 (15:27):
At least five people are dead, including the gunman, after
a shooting at an LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
The incident happened Sunday morning in the small community roughly
fifty miles north of Detroit. Police Chief William Rain confirmed
that the suspect, identified as Thomas Jacob Sandford, drove his
vehicle through the front doors of the church and opened
fire inside the building. Sandford was fatally shot by responding

(15:51):
officers in the church parking lot. And Dominion Voting Systems
and Rudy Giuliani reached a settlement in the company's one
point three billion dollar defamation suit.

Speaker 14 (16:01):
It's confidential, but here's what we do know. That agreement
has led to a voluntary dismissal of the case, with
Giuliani and Dominion each covering their own legal fees. The
suit alleged that Giuliani, a former New York City mayor
and lawyer for President Trump spread false claims of election
fraud following the twenty twenty presidential election, which Dominion said

(16:24):
hurt its reputation and endangered as employees. Sara Lee Kessler
wor news.

Speaker 13 (16:31):
Well, I think we can definitely relate to this next story.
According to Newsweek, a survey shows over a third of
Americans use paid time off to sleep, not travel. I
can attest to that. New research from amor Sleep uncovers
that some Americans are so sleep deprived they're using paid
time off at work just to rest, but they're not

(16:52):
actually taking vacations to refresh. According to the survey of
twelve hundred adults, thirty seven percent have used paid time
off day in the past year just to catch up
on sleep, and nearly half forty seven percent would be
willing to pay extra for a sleep retreat, and thirty
eight are interested in a vacation designed to improve sleep.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
I signed me up.

Speaker 13 (17:14):
Well, because who goes on vacation and ever comes back relaxed?
Everyone comes back vacation saying I needed a vacation for
my vacation.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
That's true, That's absolutely true. Yeah, my wife takes off
work just to sleep. She does it all the time. Yeah,
I think it's I think it's happening across the country,
as you just pointed out.

Speaker 13 (17:33):
Yeah it is, And it makes sense. Everybody's just tired
and sleep deprived in this country.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I know I am.

Speaker 13 (17:39):
I spend so much of my time off binge, watching
TV and sleeping and playing with my dog. I can't
even I feel like I'm not social enough anymore.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Well joined the club? Have do you nap?

Speaker 15 (17:52):
Yes?

Speaker 13 (17:52):
Sign nap snapping right now. I've just learned to seem like.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
I'm alright, I'll let you get back to it. Good night,
have a good sleep. Have you ever seen a candidacy
of a political candidate collapse like the Michael Cheryl candidacy
is unraveling right now in front of our eyes. We're
gonna talk about that and a brand new poll next well.

(18:20):
They gubernatorio race in New Jersey has been pretty fascinating.
Seems to change by the day, over and over and
over again, and it's all bad for Mikey Cheryl. Constantly,

(18:40):
everything that's come out has been bad for Mikey Cheryl.
She's turned out to be an awful choice for the Democrats,
and they were all excited about her, mainly because she
was a woman and they thought she was clean. But no,

(19:03):
we already had the stock scandal, the fact that she
was making all of this money, her and her husband,
just like Nancy Pelosi, were making all this money trading
defense stocks while she was on the Defense Committee. So
she had inside information and she was reprimanded for that.
Now we find out after you know, all of the

(19:24):
ads when she won the first time, Now she brought
that back flying in a helicopter. And look, there's I'm
not going to take anything away from her service, but
you can take something away from her service at the
Naval Academy for her time at the Naval Academy where
she wasn't allowed to walk with the graduating class because

(19:47):
she was involved in a scandal in taking the exam. Now,
there's nothing that says she cheated on the exam, but
she knew of others cheating, several others up to thirteen
cheating on the exam, and she hit it and she
kept it from administrators. And apparently that's a huge no
no at the Naval Academy. So she's told that she

(20:09):
couldn't march, she couldn't March at her graduation. She couldn't
even take place in the graduation. She couldn't even be
there for the graduation, So huge scandal, and Jack Chonarelli,
of course is jumping all over it.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
She was not allowed to participate in her graduation ceremony,
she was punished by the Naval Academy and saying that
she was covering her friends is code for a line
to investigators. And so she needs to come clean and
she can very easily do that by approving the release
of her disciplinary records, but she won't do that, which
strongly suggests that she'll continue to lie about this issue.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Right now, she hasn't really lied about the issue. She
hasn't come out and denied anything, which I think is
really fascinating. What she's doing is she's reflecting. What she's
doing is saying, I can't believe this was released, and
they're trying, the Democrats are trying to make it Donald
Trump that did all of this, That Donald Trump is

(21:12):
so involved in this election in New Jersey that he
released documents himself. I guess. I guess he's snuck in
the middle of the night and grabbed the documents and
release them. Themselves.

Speaker 16 (21:22):
People who serve this country at a minimum should know
that their information is being kept private by the government.
And I think it really begs the question too, if
Jeck Chitdarelli'll do this when he's desperately running for office,
what will he do with information of the people of
New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
See no denial. What she's upset about is that her
past was released, that the voters got to know about it.
That's what she's upset about. Here's what's really interesting. Brent Johnson,
who's a great reporter for New Jersey Advance Media Media
for NJ dot com and The Star Ledger, he looked
into this and he says it was a huge accident.

Speaker 17 (22:05):
So the National Archives admitted to mistakenly releasing an unredacted
version of her military records to Jack Cheddarelli's ally. And
she is saying that, you know, that's an illegal league
and it needs to be investigated, and she's even threatening
legal action.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Well, I and look she should. I that's it's it's
not an illegal act. It was the Archives that released it.
But and she should sue. I mean, if she's that
upset about it, she should see where it goes. The
weird thing is that Democrats are now trying to blame
Donald Trump.

Speaker 18 (22:37):
And it's outrageous that Donald Trump and his administration and
political hacks connected to him continue to violate the law.
And they will be held accountable.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Now if it was done by accident, as the reporter
Brent Johnson found out, if it was just and this
happens all the time, if it's just to screw up
that they asked for information and a pile of information
about Mikey Cheryl. This was released to the Chittarelli campaign
or a friend of the Chittarelly campaign so they could
do their background research on her and find out if

(23:12):
there's anything there. I get that she's upset about it,
but I don't think anything the various happened. I think
it was a screw up. It was just a screw up.
And now everybody's been trying to get all of those records.
But remember this isn't the first scandal, this isn't the
first problem she's had. She had a problem. First of all,

(23:34):
she has a problem answering any questions, which is really weird.
If she's not scripted, she doesn't know what to say,
which I never knew about her before. But she of
course has that stock scandal which came up in the
debate a week ago.

Speaker 19 (23:49):
In twenty nineteen alone, she personally executed more than one
hundred and sixty stock trades. And again, you're sitting on
the House Armed Services Committee and you're trading defense stocks. Well,
can't stand it when you use your polk service to
enrich yourself. That's exactly what she's done.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
She was on, as we told you before, with Charlemagne
de Gode the next day. Now you'd think she'd have
her answer down for that now.

Speaker 10 (24:15):
No.

Speaker 9 (24:16):
So when Newsmax claimed that you made seven million dollars
from stock trades, what are you talking about?

Speaker 8 (24:23):
News Max is first of all a very questionable organization
that is paying multiple fines. I'm not sure what they're
talking about.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Well, did you make seven million in stock trades at all? I?

Speaker 8 (24:36):
I haven't. I don't believe I did. But i'd have
to go see what that was alluding to. Again, what
kind of came from?

Speaker 1 (24:45):
I don't believe I did. You know what, I'll have
to check my accounts. Let's just see if there's an
extra seven million dollars in there. Sometimes I just misplaced money.
She has been so bad as a cad to forget
all the scandals. She's been just horrible as a candidate.
She was so bad that one non answer she gave

(25:11):
to Marsha Kramer an easy question has been a Jack
Chiarelli ad, if you.

Speaker 15 (25:17):
Could pass one piece of legislation, what would it be?

Speaker 8 (25:22):
Wow? I would love. That's a really good question because
there's so many that are coming to mind right now,
but right now, I would love at this point to
pass legislation to as a.

Speaker 19 (25:38):
You're kidding me, right, you want to be governor and
you can't answer that question. We have skyrocket a legend bills,
and a state people can't afford. We need to fix
New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I will Yeah, that was just non edited. That was
just one question that she couldn't answer, and the question
was what legislation would you like to have passed. She's
awful as a candidate. Forget the scandals. She's just a
bad candidate. And the polls show that now Jack shit Arelly,

(26:07):
to start this race was down twenty six points in
the polls. It's now tie. He's going up like a rocket.
He's pulling a Mom Donnie. Although he's a much safer
candidate than Mom Donnie, and he's actually going to get
the job done. He can actually do all the things
he said he's going to do. My feeling is this

(26:30):
race in New Jersey it's over. We'll see what the
next polls when they come out, and we'll see at
the debate, but I can't believe she's going to do
any better than that. Trump and Republican leaders will meet
with Democrats today to try and convince them not to
shut down the government this week, something that apparently they're
hell bent on doing. Will explain next well, this stunt

(26:54):
by the Democrats to hold up the Continuing Budget Resolution
is embarrassing, embarrassing. We're talking about a four month hold.
It happens all the time. It happens because both sides recognize,
if you have if you fight about the budget right now,

(27:15):
it's all you're gonna do, and it's right before some
of the off year elections, and so why do it now.
Let's put it off until after the election so we
can all sit down and reasonably talk about this. And also,
who knows, you know what the special election once the
makeup is going to be. And so both sides can

(27:36):
usually agree with that it's usually per pro forma. We're
gonna push this back. We'll just agree to have exactly
what we have in place for four months. Well, the
Democrats saw this because they have nothing at all to
run on and everything they have has failed all the
all they have is to scream about what Donald Trump's doing,
and it keeps backfiring on them. And so they were like, nope,

(27:59):
we're going to make this an issue. And Speaker Johnson,
who helped put this together and shepherd through the continuing
resolution specifically so the government would not shut down and
the military could get their paychecks and some of this,
some of the workers didn't have to go home and
not get paid. He wanted to make sure that there'd

(28:21):
be no pain, and let's just get a continuing resolution through.
And he's he's stunned by this.

Speaker 15 (28:29):
We passed a continuing resolution, a simple, very clean, twenty
four page continue resolution to keep the government open for
seven more weeks so the appropriators can finish that process.
And what a chuck you were doing in exchange for that?
He declined it. They voted against it, and he said, no, instead,
I want to add one point five trillion dollars in

(28:49):
new spending to a seven week stopgap bill, and I
want to as you mentioned, we want to reinstate free
healthcare to illegal aliens paid for by US taxpayer dollars.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yeah, they're asking for such ridiculous things. It makes you
believe that they want a shutdown. Now, you've been through
shutdowns in the past, right, it's always a blame game.
Who's the blame. Who's going to get the blame in
this case, will the Democrats get the blame or will
the President get the blame? And the Democrats are already
out there calling it Trump shutdown, that it's Trump shutdown.

(29:21):
Now Trump wants to get involved and see if he
can get this settled. So they're going to have a
meeting today at the White House with Democratic leaders including
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, and Republican leaders and Donald
Trump all getting together and just saying what do you
what exactly do you want? And what they want is ridiculous.

(29:43):
And much of this is just one man's ego. This
is Chuck Schumer because the last time he put a
budget deal through, remember his approval numbers plummeted, and that's
when talk was while he's I'm not gonna win reelection now,
and his minority leadership was in question at that time.

(30:06):
Things went awful because he didn't fight Donald Trump. So
now we have to do something. So this is just
one man. This is all for one man's ego and
the rest of whatever is left of his political future.
That's what's happening right now. By the way, the Democrats

(30:26):
have now kind of a little bit softened their talk
about this, softened their verbiage when it comes to this
because Donald Trump is having him at the White House
and they don't want to blast him right before they're
going to meet with him.

Speaker 18 (30:42):
Hopefully we avoid it shut down this time around, and
if we're in one, we find a quick path out.

Speaker 6 (30:48):
Are you more optimistic this morning?

Speaker 19 (30:50):
I'm hopeful.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
This is all politics. It's all politics. Nothing's going to
happen today, and that's all Donald Trump's gonna say. Donald
Trump's gonna be Really you're doing this now? Can we
just pass this hold off for seven weeks, negotiate for
seven weeks, and then we can get it done. Do
you really want to make this stand right now? Not

(31:14):
knowing who's going to take the shrapnel on this, whether
it's going to be the Republicans of the Democrats, probably
the Democrats. That's what Steve Scalisee, who's been through this
hundreds of times, maybe not hundreds, but dozens of times,
been through this exact scenario, and he's saying, seriously, just talk.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
Let's let those talks continue till November with this short
term government funding bill that's in the Senate, but it's
the same levels of funding that the Senate voted for
Democrats included back in March.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
So this will be the Democratic shutdown, there's no question.
Just remember what needs to be reported, and it probably
won't play by the media. This is standard. If this
happens all the time. They are making a weird stand
and they're going to shut down the government. It's all
on them for nothing. A woman convicted of killing a
