iHeartRadio app, go to WOA Radio. Look for the little
red microphone on the upper right of the screen. Just
tap on the microphone, follow the instructions, and you can
leave a message tell us how you feel. Top three

(02:15):
stories today. Comy indicted. That's big, big news. He's indicted
on two different counts. First time in history that's ever
happened for a former head of the FBI. The Jack Chitterarelli, Mikey,
Cheryl Race new polls out showing it is neck and neck.
We'll talk about that, plus the Cheryl military story if
you didn't hear about that, and Zoron Mamdani wants to

(02:37):
all but scrap the gang database in New York City.
But a thirteen year old was just fatally shot by
a gang on Monday. How will that affect the campaign?
First though, let's talk about the one that I mentioned first,
the James James Comy story. He has been indicted on
two counts. Comy is now the first former FBI director

(02:58):
in history to be brought up on show arches a
grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia. Not exactly
a conservative district, I might add, has handed up the
two indictments against the former FBI director who led the
agency during the investigations of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Now,
remember all the information that the FBI had on Hillary Clinton,

(03:18):
her admission that she smashed government phones, and she bleach
bitded computers, and she had a personal computer server in
her basement which she was using to store classified government information,
which is a federal violation. All of this could have
easily been hacked by foreign governments. And with all of that,
James Comy said, I don't believe there's enough evidence to

(03:39):
indict her of a crime. Yeah. When it came to
President Trump, Trump was presented, or I should say Comy
was presented with the Steel dossier, which he knew was
bought and paid for by the Hillary Clinton camp in
order to discredit candidate Donald Trump. Was a totally fake,
made up dossier from a foreign agent who the FBI

(03:59):
said would not be trusted. Yet Komy allowed that dalsier
to be used in the Russiagate investigation and used it
to spy on the Trump cap both of which literally
handicapped Trump during his entire first term and may have
cost him the twenty twenty election, Democrats used the false
Russia Gate allegations over and over and over again to

(04:20):
attack Trump, and Republicans who were in the House and
the Senate were afraid to defend Trump because of it.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
That led, of course, to the thirty four felony counts
against him, five indictments, and two impeachments. Whenever questioned about anything,
James Komy always acted smug and condescending, made weird comments,
and just totally acted unusually. At times. He even hid
behind a curtain in the White House Blue Room that
happened back in twenty seventeen to avoid any interaction with

(04:48):
the President Trump. And of course there was the infamous
shell picture that he posted on social media within the
last year that spelled out eighty six forty seven as
if the world doesn't know that he knows exactly what
eighty six forty seven implies. You can't tell me. You
were the head of one of the most important intelligence
agencies in the United States and you're ignorant to what

(05:08):
eighty six implies and forty seven implies. Now, an indictment
is a farkriye from a conviction, of course, and you're
innocent until proven guilty, but there appears to be a
lot of evidence here, including allegations of perjury, which if
he were to be convicted, that could send Comy to
federal prison for five years per count, so he could

(05:29):
get ostensibly up to ten years in this case. The
false statement that Comy allegedly made is also the obstruction charge,
so it's based on congressional testimony by FBI Deputy Director
Andrew McCabe, during which he said that he had been
authorized to leak false information to the press that was
allowed by Comy, and when asked under oath by Senator

(05:51):
Chuck Grassley, if Komy ever authorized that leak to the press,
Comy said nope. He just quickly said nope, didn't elaborate.
Long after that, Senator Cruz had Comy in front of
him in the Senate and Senator Cruz asked Comy about
McCabe's testimony, and Comy seemed not to remember. He said, well,
I'm not going to contradict it. I just I don't

(06:12):
know one way or the other. Suddenly his memory left him,
and because he can't stay quiet, Comy now released a
statement last night on his Instagram account. Here's what he
had to say.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
My family and I have known for years that there
are costs to standing up to Donald Trump, but we
couldn't imagine ourselves living any other way. We will not
live on our knees and you shouldn't either. Somebody that
I love dearly recently said that fear is the tool
of a tyrant, and she's right. But I'm not afraid,

(06:47):
and I hope you're not either.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Well, let's see what happens. But again, a grand jury
in the Eastern District of Virginia, which basically is Washington,
d C. That's where all the Liberals from Washington live.
They all go to the suburbs in eastern Virginia. So
for a grand jury of peers that were selected from
Eastern Virginia outside of DC for them to believe there

(07:10):
might be enough information here to indict, that's a serious thing.
So we'll see what happens. But I mean, this could
go on for quite a while. This is not going
to be wrapped up at a day, folks, But we'll see
what happens. Shifting gears here. New information in the race
for governor of New Jersey. There are two new polls
out two that show the gubernatorial race is now literally tied. First,

(07:32):
there was an internal poll released earlier in the week
by the Chittarelli camp. They commissioned the poll, but the
polster is not a conservative. The polster has done most
of his polls actually for the Democrats. And in that
first poll it was of six hundred likely voters. That
first poll was the first ever to show the Republican
candidate ahead of Mikey Ryl the Democrat, by one point

(07:55):
forty six to forty five percent. And then there's an
Emerson College poll found out about yesterday that shows Mikey
Cheryl and Jack Chidarelli tied forty three to forty three percent,
with eleven percent undecided. Now, we only have six weeks
still election day in a state where Democrats a number
of Republicans by eight hundred and sixty thousand registered voters.

(08:18):
That does not sound good for Cheryl because with that
many more Democrats, if she's tied at this point, that
does not spell a good future for her. And now
the other shoe, it seems may have dropped. Yesterday new
information came out showing that Cheryl was maybe less than
honest about her military history. Apparently while she was at
the Naval Academy, there was a big scandal involving cadets

(08:41):
cheating on their exams. Now, nobody, nobody is saying that
Mikey Cheryl cheated on her exams, so please don't don't
infer that from what we're saying here. But she was
not allowed to march in her graduation ceremony and she
was left off the graduation program. So if all was up,
why did that happen? So Allegedly Mikey Cheryl knew of

(09:05):
the other cadets who apparently were involved in some cheating scandal,
but she never brought it up to school officials. See,
part of the honor code is if you know that
somebody's cheating, you're supposed to bring it up to school officials.
You know, in the real world, if you know that
somebody committed a crime and you don't talk about it,
that's conspiracy. You could be charged. Now in that case,
this was this was not quite the case. Doesn't lead

(09:27):
up to that. But all this time Mikey Cheryl has
been touting her military record. That's the first thing she shows.
I was a helicopter pilot in the Navy. Well, if
you and even now now that she's been in Congress
four or five six years, she still tuts the fact
that she was in the Navy as a helicopter pilot
because she's trying to get the Conservatives to kind of
support her. So we'll see what happens now that that's out.

(09:48):
And quickly want to tell you about the New York
City race for mayor. The polls are still remaining pretty
much unchanged, just six weeks left to election day. But
something that may cause eyebrows to be raised the shooting
death of thirteen year old Sanjay Samuel earlier this week
allegedly buy a gang member. And you know that Zoron
Mamdani wants to eliminate gang the gang database, so we
will see if that will continue to fly. It is

(10:11):
now six fifteen. Hey, we want you to go to
the iHeart app leave us a talkback. You could win
a limited edition Minty in the Morning t shirt which
will be awarded each day to our favorite talkback of
the morning. And while you're on the free iHeartRadio app,
be sure to set a preset for seven to ten
woar and a heads up, there's a new scam targeting
people including actors and influencers with fake podcast invites, even

(10:35):
using big names like Amy Poehler. You've got the warning
and how to protect yourself. Absolutely good to be here
and happy Friday to you. Hey, we want to know
how you feel. We want you to leave us a talkback.
Very easy to do. Go to seven to ten Woar
on the iHeartRadio app and click on the microphone. I've
done it. As Natalie could attest to how many times
you get my talkbacks?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Right?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Have gotten your talkbacks? They cracked me up.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
I'm like this.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Talkback.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm addicted. I listened to this station. This it sounds like, yeah,
come on ken, I listen all day and evening. I
have it on constantly like a lot of our listeners. Yes,
I do, and I do leave talkback. I left talkbacks
for Clay and Buck and they put them on the air.
I didn't intend for them to go on the air,
but they did. But we want you to do it.
We want to hear you on the air, So give
us a talkback when you go to the seven ten

(11:24):
WR feature.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
There.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's on the iHeartRadio app. Go to seven ten war.
You'll see the microphone at the top. Click it when
you're there. Put seven ten WR on your presets. That
way you just have to press one time you'll get us.
Plus you could win a limited edition. And I'm looking
at it now, I should hear like drum roll and
Music the limited edition Minty in the Morning T shirt
which will be awarded each day to our favorite talkback

(11:48):
of the morning. I was telling Natalie that I was
in Grand Central the other day and I saw somebody
selling Minty in the Morning T shirts. But I think
they were counterfeit because they misspelled war.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
We've been yes when the miss.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
They spelled menty right, It's like they got mentymyn DT,
but they misspelled wor. It's like, wait a minute, that's
there's no k in wo R. What is that anyway?
But hey, we got to talk about speaking of scams, right.
A scam is now circulating online where individuals are falsely
invited to appear on Good Hang, which is a podcast

(12:26):
hosted by Amy Poehler. Remember Amy polar snl fame well
actress Kate Mancy who's from General Hospital. She was among
the victims. Poor Things. She received a message from somebody
claiming to be a guy named Jake from Amy Pohler's
production team. She got all excited, whoa, I'm gonna be
on Amy Polar's show, right, so Mancy scheduled the pre interview.

(12:48):
I mean, this sounds very legit. This sounds very legit.
And listen to her and what happened to her.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Couldn't believe Amy Poehler wanted to talk to me because
she could as well have been a General hospital fan.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
This is so embarrassing. I just logged on for the
pre call and it was definitely a scam. So I
am heartbroken.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
I would be heartbroken to four things. You know, how
many times have you gotten an invite like that? You
just click you especially if it looks really legit, but
you never ever, ever ever click right. So we were saying,
you saw that, Natalie that the email address was a Gmail.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Right, So it was a Gmail.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
Now, honestly, you know, I've used my Gmail address every
once in a while to email somebody. I try always
to do it on my office account, But that would
have been the first thing I would have said, Hey,
you know what, the invitation sounds wonderful.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Speaker 6 (13:41):
Would you be able to send me a formal request
from your company email that would be one. Not that
they can't make a company email, of course they can,
but at least now you're putting them on guard that
maybe you're thinking something's weird on this.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
So but the problem was is, like we've heard, do
not click on the link.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
Is what was happening was that it was going to
download some kind of you know, malware onto your computer
or onto.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Your phone, and there you go.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
Now you got a virus and maybe they have access
to your computer.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
That's crazy, that's awful. The guy that does the weather
for my show in New Jersey I do on New
Jersey Morning, say's a little shameless plug Monday through usually
Monday through Friday on New Jersey, a TV channel in
New Jersey. And our meteorologist told me that he just
got hacked something similar to that. It emulated some world

(14:31):
weather form that he's part of, looked just like it,
and he got hacked and they charged up a storm
with his credit card info that he had on whatever
whatever reason he had it. I don't know why, but
just amazing. Just don't click. There's the rule. And hey,
did you hear about this? X NFL MVP Sean Alexander
announces he and his wife are expecting their fourteenth child.

(14:55):
How where is she buried?

Speaker 4 (14:59):
I just keep thinking, we have fourteen college tuitions?

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Oh my god, Well, I guess you know. He's a
former NFL and MVP, so he has the cash. And
if you cant afford it, God bless you. He's only
forty eight. He's only forty eighty. Scott, Now he's gonna
have fourteen kids. You listen to the names, they're obviously
all biblical, so bless their hearts. It's Alexander's gonna be Uh,
let's see one of them, and Heaven and Trinity, Eden, Joseph, Justice, Temple, Honor, Jedediah, Eternity, Hosanna, Hope,

(15:28):
and Judea. So wow, that's just amazing. They did have
one one child who unfortunately passed when she was a baby,
but that's you know, hey, if they want to do it,
that's it. It's amazing.

Speaker 7 (15:39):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Bless their hearts and may they have a healthy, healthy baby.
Here it is now time for Jaqueline Carl, who, by
the way, her Gmail address is Queen of News Eternal.
Jacqueline Carl with the six thirty dudes, Good morning.

Speaker 8 (15:52):
Good morning for me, former FBI director James call Me
says he's innocent after he was indicted Thursday. In the
video posted in social media, Comy said he's innocent and
his family will not live on their knees. Comy has
been charged with one count of making false statements and
one count of obstruction of justice. The charges are related
to testimony he gave before Congress on his handling of

(16:14):
the investigation into the twenty sixteen presidential election. And the
power is back on inside Grand Central Terminal after a
thirty minute outage inside the iconic train station Thursday night.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
The lights went off inside Graham Central around eight thirty.
Neither trained nor subway service ABIRDO have been impacted mtasas
four people were briefly stuck in elevators. People posted photos
of the terminal's well known main concourse spookily dark during
the outage. Andrew Whitman wo R News.

Speaker 8 (16:44):
So one millennial mom says she's gonna parent like it's
nineteen eighty five. According to Scary Mommy, parenting styles, of
course have come a long way since our childhoods, but
there's something to be said for the old school methods.
Vanessa Jennings uses several parenting tips and tricks from Wapeck
of the nineteen eighties and proudly shares them in an
Instagram post she captions time to rewind forty years. One

(17:06):
thing she doesn't do is she doesn't buy her kids
a lot of stuff. She says they just don't need
loads of toys to learn the value of being gifted something. Therefore,
birthdays and Christmas she teaches them resilience. She says today's
snowflake generation wouldn't know what hit them, but during my
childhood there was a lot of love.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
But if you weren't.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
Bleeding profusely or you lost a limb, you were expected
to just get on with it. From New Zealand, she
seriously limits screen time. Her kids typically only get an
hour on the weekend. No video games.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
She said.

Speaker 8 (17:36):
This may be extreme, but she says between Netflix and
all the other stuff, that's enough technology for me. No smartphones.
She prefers that her kids don't wear shoes outside. She
says it's important to be close to nature and feel
the freedom of grass under your feet. And she lets
them get bored. She said if they don't experience boredom,
they don't get the opportunity to be really creative.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I agree with a lot of that stuff.

Speaker 8 (17:59):
Some of it would be like, oh my god, in
this day and age, how can you enforce it?

Speaker 1 (18:02):
But a lot of that stuff is smart. I think
I think you lost me at the no shoes.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
My mom always made me wear shoes. That's one thing
should have.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
Like, you can't go outside, You're gonna get a splinter,
You're gonna get you know whatever.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
But haven't you heard of the grounding? If you're outside
on your lawn, that's fine. But I'm not gonna let
them go on their bike without shoes on.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
I mean, technically a friend of mine is an electrician.
It says you are grounded. If your feet are in
your shoes and your shoes are touching the ground, you're
still grounded because you can be electrocuted too, So I mean,
you're you're still grounded. That I understand it. Though people say,
oh I sleep better, I digest my food better if
my feet, my bare feet touched the grass.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
If you know what I should have done.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
The one parenting skill that my parents used on me
that I never used on my kids was the method
of cleaning my room. It was this room looks like
a big spin got clean. It was a cyclone coming
through the room. I was just like, oh, clean your
room or and then I would just clean it because
I was like, oh, they're never going to clean it,

(19:02):
so I'm just going to clean it.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Or they don't clean it up to your standards.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Oh yeah, ye.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Shoving dirty clothes under the bed is not cleaning the room, right,
Love it all right? Thank you so much, Jack Oolin.
That is cute, though, thirteen year old. Unfortunately, the Sad
News here was murdered by a gang earlier in the week.
But Zora Mamdani wants to scrap the NYPDS gang database.
The question is is this wolf politics gone too far?

(19:28):
That's going to be coming up next. We want to
hear from you too. You can call in or use
the iHeartRadio the talkback feature. Go to the iHeartRadio app,
you go to woor, click on the microphone. Let us
know what you think about that. Wa congratulates all of
our five thousand dollars winners in iHeart Radios Thank a

(19:50):

thank you to the educators who are shaping our future
by nominating your favorite teach now at iHeartRadio dot com
slash teachers. I had a good Friday to you. Beautiful
weather today. Man oh man, it's gonna be sunny. It
does not feel like fall, even though we're infall now,
Hi's in the low eighties. Man, beautiful, It's gonna be

(20:12):
milder like this, milder, warmer, hotter. Let's just say hotter.
Right until next Tuesday and then Wednesday, which is October first,
We're only going to be in the sixties then.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
I'm looking forward to that. I dressed this morning like
it was in the sixties. How sweating on the way.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
I'm one of those summer people, like on the show
I do in New Jersey. On New Jersey, I often
kid around with my meteorologists. I say, well, I'm gonna
do the next six months out of Australia because I
get like seasonal depression. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
By the way, speaking of depression, and a horrible, horrible
story for those I'm sure we had it. I was
doing New Jersey at the time, but I know you

(20:49):
guys had this on the show here Monday. There was
a horrible story a thirteen year old who was walking
to school. Thirteen year old sun Jay Samuel was walking
to school in Queen's just after eight in the morning.
He was outside of a duncan and he got shot
in the head. Just awful. Mayor Adams believes it was
gang activity that caused this. And the question is now

(21:14):
that we know, I mean, we have gang issues that
are on the rise, it seems in New York right
and we have a gang database that helps police kind
of keep it in check. They know who's who and
where they are and what they're doing. But Zoron Mamdani
apparently wants to either eliminate or severely limit the gang
database and police access to it. Will this have any

(21:37):
impact in the race for mayor now? Right now, things
are still pretty much unchanged. Zoron is still leading the polls,
you know, as long as everybody's in it. Andrew Cuomo
and Curtis Sliwa. Right now, it looks like Zoron is
going to walk away. So but the question is will
the knowledge that the elimination of a gang database and

(21:58):
how it will impact the everyday or will that impact people.
We'd love to hear what you have to say about it.
You could go to the iHeartRadio app, go to WOOR,
click on the talkback feature which is a little red
microphone up at the top. We'd love to hear what
you have to say. Now, we did have somebody who
called in and they were talking about illegal immigrants in
the United States and keep being upset with the Democrats,

(22:22):
and this is what they had to say.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
I would like to see all the parents, husbands, wives,
children of people who have been harmed by legal aliens
or issues that the Democratic Party caused come together do
a class action lawsuit against the Democratic Party individual Democrats
for dereliction of duty.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
And I feel the passion. I get that the problem
is that you can't sue an elected official for voting
a certain way, Okay, but the question is, and I
brought this up with a congress person friend. I won't
mention the name from New Jersey, and I think that
there could be a Supreme Court case for the dereliction

(23:07):
of duty. You swear an oath to uphold the Constitution.
That means you will uphold the laws that are on
the books. And there are seventy five US laws on
immigration right now. So if somebody is here illegally and
you choose not to enforce the laws, the Biden administration did.
They just look the other way. They lied to Congress
over and over again. You had Majorcus say before Congress repeatedly,

(23:31):
the borders are secure, the borders are secure. And then
you cut, like on Fox News, you'd cut behind the reporter.
You'd see ten million people streaming right across the border
like nothing behind them. Well, you'd have a split screen
with Mayorkas saying, yes, the border is secure. I mean,
just bath face liar, both face liar. And you had
millions potentially who came across the border. And we know

(23:53):
now that a number of them, not all, but a
number of them were not good people. Let's just say
probably eighty ninety percent were lovely people. They just wanted
a better life. But you had you had Venezuela opening
their prisons. Cuba did this thirty years ago. They opened
their prisons, released them all to Florida. Florida had a
crime wave in the eighties. It was like through the

(24:14):
roof that was all because you know we said let
them in. It's no, it was Cuba releasing the prisoners.
Venezuela did the same thing, Maduro. We know he opened
the floodgates from the prisons, let them all come to
the US. So now we have Venezuela and street gangs
all over the place. That's because of the Biden administration.
You could say, thank you. So the question is if
somebody gets hurt or killed or robbed because of the

(24:35):
negligence of the Biden administration, can you sue? I get that.
The problem is it opens up a Pandora's box that
you then can sue every elected official, anybody in a
position of authority. If something happens and you disagree, Do
you want that? Do you want it constantly going to court?
I say, if it comes down to negligence in enforcing

(24:56):
existing law, maybe there is a case there. But if
it comes down to you don't like the way somebody voted,
maybe not. We'd like to hear what you have to
say about it. Though. Once again, go to the talkback
feature iHeartRadio app. Go to w R look at the
red microphone on the top and click on that and
let us know what you feel about that. Sure you
have an opinion, we want to hear about it. Hey, listen,

(25:18):
don't forget about that. A new car. Also call eight
hundred three two one zero seven ten. We do it
old school too. I have we have one of those
rotary phones here with the old the old ring, and
we'll pick that up and I'll put it up to
the microphone and we could talk to you. Eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten. We just want
you to take part. This is your show and we
want you to take part. I'm Ken Rosato in for

(25:39):
the wonderful Larry Menti Menti in the morning on your Friday.
And coming up, we have ABC's Jordana Miller joining us
from Jerusalem as Net and Yahoo and about a boss
clash at the UN, Big big deal, one condemning global
support for Palestine, the other claiming guy future. It's a

(26:01):
diplomatic showdown with global consequences and the big thing happening.
Of course today at the UN they're going to be
talking about AI and what that means for the future
of the world. Quickie aside, I clicked on Gemini, which
is Google's AI feature, and I asked this question, for real,
does the Trump administration have any intent on prosecuting Mayorcus

(26:26):
for his false comments to Congress. You know what the
response was, that can't happen because the Donald Trump is
not the president of the United States. That's what Google's
AI responded to me. I saved it. I'll show it
to you, So we want to know if something like
that happened to you too. Use the talkback feature. You're
listening to seven to ten wor six forty seven on
your Friday morning. Had a good Friday morning too, You

(26:47):
don't have to tell you. The UN General assemblies in
town and today's a big day. The Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyaho will address the United Nations General Assembly this morning,
so you can imagine security is at the height of normal,
if you will. And it follows Palesinian President Makmoudi Bass
addressing the Assembly yesterday when he expressed his gratitude and

(27:10):
appreciation in quotes. I put that to the states that
recently recognized the state of Palestine, including France, the UK, Canada,
and Belgium, bringing a total of one hundred and fifty
seven states now recognizing Palestinian statehood. Boss wanted an immediate
and permanent end of the war in Gaza, the immediate
entry of aid through the UN organizations and lots more,

(27:34):
and an immediate release of all the hostages. Of course.
So with us on the phone right now is ABC
News Jerusalem correspondent Jordana Miller, who's going to tell us more.
Good morning to you, Jordana.

Speaker 7 (27:45):
Good morning. That's right. The Palestinian President speaking a non
in person as you know, but by video message because
the Trump administration had rejected their Viza requests to come in.
You know, the Palestinian President saying that the PA is

(28:06):
prepared to take over the Gaza Strip. He did call
on Hamas to relinquish control of the strip, to give back,
to release the forty eight hostages, and to disarm. All
of this welcome news to international leaders, even some here

(28:28):
in Israel. The problem, though, is that the Palestinian authority
is really racked with instability and it is deeply unpopular
among Palestinians. There's a lot of corruption, and you know,
the Palatinian president himself, Mahmoudabas, has been unable with his

(28:49):
security forces to keep terrorists out of places like Janine
and Nabolis in the Northern West Bank, which are under
his authority per the accords. So a lot of people
here questioning whether the Palestinian authority is really prepared or
equipped or able to take over the Gaza strip at

(29:11):
this point in time. Right, if they put through reforms,
if there's some new leadership, if they retrain their police forces,
their secuted forces, yes, maybe in the future they could
play a role. And I think European leaders and some
American leaders see that as well. But at this point
in time it seems, you know, like a very high

(29:33):
bar when the Palestinian authority is not functioning very well,
just with the areas that controls now.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Yeah, you know Jordana, so many people, I think they
worry about the rank and file Palestinian dweller, the people
who are starving. They think about the babies, et cetera.
And of course, as President Trump says, this could all end.
All you have to do is return the hostages and
will stop fighting and that's that. Do you see any
kind of relief getting to the individual the rank and

(30:00):
file citizens of the area who just want to raise
their kids and eat food and survive.

Speaker 7 (30:07):
Well, Listen, I think the people of Gaza of Palestinians,
and there's over two million of them. They don't all
support Hamas, you know, there's plenty of them that have
no connection really to Hamas and they have been, you know,
living through hell for these last two years. There's absolutely
no doubt about it. And much of the Gaza strip

(30:29):
lays in ruins. There has been over the last month
a real boost and aid coming into the Gaza Strip.
Right now, the average is about three hundred trucks a day.
It needs to get up to around five hundred. But
just a couple months ago when there was you know,
really alarming reports of starvation and famine in parts of

(30:52):
Gaza and reports of people dying daily, we've gone from
around seventy five trucks up to you again, around three hundred.
In the UN, it has to be said, is doing
a better job as well of distributing fin and we
have a few of those Gauz of Humanitarian Foundation sites

(31:12):
that are giving out aid for free. So we have
to say there's still dozens of Palestinians that are dying
each day. But I think real relief will come to
Gosins only at the end of this war.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Absolutely, and again, as President Trump said, the war could
be over. Return the hostages. Let's end it. Jordana Miller,
ABC News correspondent in Jerusalem, thank you so much for
that input and the story. We appreciate you as always.
Have a great day.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
Thanks Tucson, you.
