Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Monday. Man, is it gonna be hot. It's
gonna be hot all week. And I wish I would
have known before I left home today how hot it
was going to be. Do you know how you get
outside and it's way too late to run back inside
and get changed, and then it is just oppressive outside.
(00:20):
And I'm talking like three in the morning, it's already oppressive.
And I thought to myself, Oh, you know what, I
should have checked the forecast. And I'm dressed like it's September.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I am too, I think I because you.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Don't always check the forecast over the weekend, you know
what I mean. You want to know what it's gonna
be Saturday and Sunday. You don't think about Monday. And
now you should have thought about Monday. I'm talking to
myself here. You should have thought about Monday because it's
gonna have a heat INEX near one hundred. The regular
high with the without the heat index is gonna without
the humidity is going to be ninety four Tomorrow. It's
(00:56):
gonna be close to one hundred. Man, we're gonna have
we're hoping to race agic do an extended forecast coming up.
But you know, just stay inside if you can. This
is a great This is a great excuse for remote work.
See if that works with your boss, say it's too hot.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Too hot, But at least you gave them fair warning
to dress appropriately.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
I know, unlike me. I wish I wish I had
somebody on the radio would have told me to dress
right in the Big Three today, Well, what a big
achievement for the Trump administration. Days before the August first deadline,
President Trump strikes a trade deal with our biggest trade partner,
(01:40):
the EU, the European Union.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
This is probably the biggest deal ever reached in any
capacity trade or beyond trade. It is, let's a it's
a giant deal with lots of countries.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, well the EU. There's you know, well over a
dozen countries that are involved. This is by far the
biggest trade deal. It might bring as much as three
trillion dollars into the country. What euse Correspondent John Decker
is going to be with us at eight thirty five
to give us details on the deal and tell us
what deals might be next, because apparently there's three or
(02:15):
four still in the works to get done before that
or August first deadline. New Jersey US Attorney Alena Hobba
was fired by a panel of judges, right, so why
is she still in office and why does she say
she's not leaving.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
I think anybody that's known me in this public sphere
for the last four years knows I'm not a coward
to a fight. So I have obviously been doing my job.
I do my job irrespective of who you are, what
you are, what your politics are.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I'll tell you what. The fight's not going away. This
just started. So anyway, the Trump administration fired the woman
who the judges appointed to replace her, and then swore
Habba in again, this time as acting US Attorney, meaning
she has another two hundred and ten days before she
has to go through any nominating process. If she goes
(03:04):
through a nominating process. New Jersey columnist Mike Kelly will
be here at seven oh five with more on the
fight for New Jersey's US attorney US Attorney's office. And
now Congress wants to talk to Julane Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's
sex trafficking conspirator, and.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
She is serving a twenty year sentence for child sex
trafficking and so her character is in some question. But
if she wants to come clean now, that would be
a great service to the country, and we'd like to
know every single bit of information that she has. I
certainly hope she's telling the truth.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
When asked if he was going to pardon Maxwell, he
responded first he got offended that he was even asked.
Donald Trump responded, I haven't even thought about it yet.
In Gaza, the UN is warning of a humanitarian crisis.
They say food is not getting to a starving population.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
It's almost impossible to put into words how terrible this is.
Situation is patients dying of malnutrition. My friends and colleagues
who I'm named for years, some of them I barely
recognized as they'd lost so much weight.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah, we'll have Jordana Miller coming up live from Israel
at eight oh five. Benjamin net Yahoo came out and said,
anybody who's blaming Israel for this is lying. And of
course those ceasefire talks continue. We thought we were so close,
and yet there's a couple of sticking points. They just
can't get pasted. Anyway, Jordana is coming up at eight
(04:30):
oh five, And congratulations to New York City mayoral candidate
Zorin Mamdani. He celebrated his marriage to a twenty seven
year old Rama Duaji, a twenty seven year old artist
and film animator, in a lavish three day ceremony over
the weekend in the Uganda city of Kampala. Now they
(04:54):
got married back in February. Then they had another ceremony
a couple of months ago in Dubai with her parents.
Now this is the Mam Donni family celebration. And so
he's a socialist, right that wants to help the poor
and once to go after the rich. He hates the rich.
(05:15):
He thinks they don't pay their fair share. Well, Mam
Donnie may be one of the richest socialists in the world.
Did you see the house that they live in. It
is It makes like the Hearst Castle run away in Shame.
It is an enormous place right on Lake Victoria. It's
(05:40):
got to be worth millions, hundreds of millions. I mean,
it is an amazing place. And the whole area that
it's in, all the houses go for at least two
million dollars. And all these people were driving up. They
have showed the cars outside. They drive it up in
their Mercedes. They drived up in their Lamborghinis and their
(06:02):
range rovers. It was all rich. It was the richest
socialists all getting together to laugh about him fooling New
York City.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
It.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Oh, by the way, the guy that's against the police, right,
he won social workers. He didn't have social workers guarding
his wedding. He had a couple of dozen masked Special
Forces style guards for security. They also had a phone
jamming system set up just in case, you know, anybody
tried to show anything live or snuck their phones in
(06:37):
because the phones had to be confiscated. They had three
staffed security gates to get into this thing. So much
about this shows what a hypocrite this guy is. This
guy has lived rich and lavishly his whole life. Now
(06:57):
we know who was paying for all this. His mommy,
the successful Ugandan director. And by the way, her parents
aren't doing too bad off either. They're Hindu, by the way,
an Indian. And as you watch this, as you see
the pictures of what was going on there, you understand
(07:20):
what a hypocrite this guy is. It is amazing to
me that he's getting away with this. I'm just a
guy from the streets, and you know, I just think
we all need a fair shake, and I'm going to
take on the rich and the powerful, and everybody that's
supporting me is just like me. They're you know, they're
all just giving me ten hours or one hundred hours,
(07:41):
whatever they can afford. And I'm not taking money from
any of those rich cats. Now. Mommy has been financing
his campaign all along. I think he's got a lot
of answering to do when he comes back because everything
he espouse to was shown as being exactly opposite of
(08:01):
how he lives or how he lived, or what he
likes to go back to. So I mean, you can
understand now, I get it, I get it why all
of these people are reluctant to endorse him, the biggest
Democrats in the state reluctant to endorse him. It's funny.
(08:22):
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries were having a news conference
yesterday on the Capitol right, and they were asked about
several different things about the Epstein, and you know, they
were going off on that. All of a sudden a
reporter asked them about endorsing mom Donnie, and they answered
quickly and they left. And I want you to listen
(08:43):
carefully because after Schumer gives his quick answer and then
gets away from there, gets away from the podium. Only
time he's ever run away from a microphone. Hakeem Jeffries
is next to him. He gives it one word answer
and then they both get out of there. I'll just
say I had a good talk with Donnie last week
and I look forward to meeting with him in New York. Same, same,
(09:05):
thank you, everybody, same. Nobody wants to talk about this.
And poor Corey Booker was doing a remote from the
Capital on MSNBC and the last question they asked about
Mom Donnie and it's like an old three stooges. But
he was like a haman ahaman, a haamanahaman.
Speaker 8 (09:25):
I need help keeping track of New Jersey politics. Your
politics are even more complicated over there. I need a
flow chart people losing a Democratic primary and running it.
So I'm staying out of your city. I'm focusing on
my state. At the end of the day, I want
to see a great mayor for the for the world's
most important city next to Newark, New Jersey.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
You ever ever heard him stammer like that. He didn't
expect that question at all. Democrats are trying, except for
you know, the crazy Democrats like AOC and Bernie Sanders,
the other socialists, the the regular Democrats, the ones that
want to win in the midterms, are staying as far
away from Mom Donnie as they can. Anyway, we'll talk
(10:12):
more about the race coming up, but right now, a
Yankee great is installed in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
We'll tell you who it is and who he gave
credit to for his success. And also Curtis Leewa just
wrapped up the animal vote. That's all next, plus take
us to see the off Broadway show Rolling Thunder at
seven to twenty five. Stay with us, I'll tell you
(10:33):
what in this mayor's race. Adams and Cuomo are like
kids in a playground. They won't stop attacking each other.
You got Mom Donnie talking crazy. The guy that's making
the most sense is Curtis Leiwa, by far the most sense.
I watched him on the Point with Marsha Kramer over
the weekend, and he was talking about lowering the corporate
(10:59):
tax rate, talking about hiring seven thousand police officers. He
seems to be the only one really talking about issues
that matter. But out of nowhere, and this is what
I'm wanted to play for you because I thought this
was amazing. Out of nowhere. He says that he wants
to ban the horses from the horse drawn carriages.
Speaker 9 (11:20):
Colombia is in the business of educating students.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Oh that's not it there.
Speaker 10 (11:25):
I don't know who.
Speaker 9 (11:25):
Loves them, because they've eliminated him in almost every other
city around the world. You replace them with making nice carriages.
The drivers still have a job, and more importantly, no
kill shelters, and we're going to put animal abuses in jail.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Look at that. He's got the animal vote. He's wrapped
it up. By the way. He is on protect the
Animal's line, so he's not only running as a Republican,
but he's under the protect the Animal's line. I just
think it's amazing. First of all, he has come out
with the most policy proposals and some that will be
(12:03):
you know, for instance, him saying he wants to lower
the corporate tax rate and he will do it could
get all of the business people on his side. And
then when he says he wants to protect the animals
and put animal abusers behind bars and get rid of
the horses in Central Park, you know what I mean.
(12:23):
I would not count him out as long as there's
four people in the race. Well, Jim Walden five people
in the race, then I certainly wouldn't count him out.
All right, Now, let's talk about the Hall of Fame,
because another Yankee got in there and it was interesting. C. C.
Sabbathia great picture for some of the World Series teams
(12:45):
of one of the greatest Yankees pitchers of all time
got into the Hall of Fame and he and his
whole speech was about his family, and he talked about
the moments in his life where he needed his grandmother,
where he needed his mind, where his wife took him
out of a low point, where his sisters were there
for him. It was a really well done and emotional speech,
(13:07):
and he wrapped it up with.
Speaker 10 (13:09):
This tonight, tell your grannies, your mom's, your aunts, your sisters,
your wives, your girlfriends, and your daughters how much you
love and appreciate them.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I thought, I thought it was wonderful. I thought it
was wonderful that he was able to talk about the
successes that he's had in his life and then pinpoint
the people who did that and make us realize that
for every successful person there's a mom that loved them,
and for every successful person there is a wife who
(13:45):
supported them. You know, it goes the other way around too.
I understand that, but there's something especially nurturing about a
mom and a girlfriend. And well, the sisters aren't always
so great. They're okay, who's a system.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
I'm a sister.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah, Well let's talk. Do you have brothers.
Speaker 11 (14:05):
I have one.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Let's get him on the phone. Let's see how supportive
you are. There is a little competition sometimes in the families.
Let's talk about the talkbacks for a second. Every time
you send us a talkback, you're in the running to
win a limited edition Minty in the Morning T shirt.
It's awarded daily to our favorite message. You know that.
By now, everybody's been trying to get one up, and
(14:28):
people have tried to bribe me for them. They just
have not offered enough yet. But the thing is I
can't get them. They're locked away because so many people
try to take them. And don't forget. Here's something even
bigger than the T shirt, which is hard to believe,
but even bigger than the T shirt. Don't forget the
best talk back of the week takes home a sea
crane radio. Sea crane radios that work when it matters most.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Did I miss in the New York Post yesterday that
may Or want to be Madman?
Speaker 12 (14:59):
I like that name for him.
Speaker 11 (15:00):
Also has a rink controled department. How is that possible, Larry?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah, he's he's such a phony. The guy is such
a phony. And we didn't even I didn't even realize it.
I kind of suspected it. I was really worried about
where he got his money because I thought it might
be George Soros. He doesn't need Jorge Sorrow's money, apparently,
and he plays himself poor a man among the people,
(15:28):
and he's not. He's lived lavishly his entire life. But
I like madmen, mad money, mad Manny. Let's figure that out.
We'll keep working on that.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Now.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Let's get the news at six point thirty with Larry Kovsky,
who's in for Jacqueline Carl Larry Well.
Speaker 11 (15:53):
Good morning, Larry. Seventy six degrees already at six thirty.
Speaker 13 (15:57):
Mother Nature turning up the heat again. The city put
out a heat advisory covering today through Wednesday. The thermometer
is expected to reach into the nineties ED and the
humidity and it'll feel like triple digits. Three people recovering
from gunshot wounds one person suffering from a stab wound
in violence that followed this year's Bronx Dominican Parade.
Speaker 11 (16:18):
All are expected to be okay. At least five cases
of Legionnaire's disease are reported in Central Harlem. Several other
patients are being tested and awaiting results. City health officials
are looking for the source. President Trump is calling it
the biggest of all deals. The US and the European
Union have reached a trade deal reducing US tariffs on
(16:38):
goods from the EU to fifteen percent and Larry just
in time for this week's heat wave. Today is National
Water Park Day. This one, though, might not work out
so well, especially if you're outside.
Speaker 13 (16:50):
It's also National Milk Chocolate Day for your handywes.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Do you like water parks.
Speaker 13 (17:01):
I did back in the day.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yeah, I still love them. I love water parks, and
I know, I know. I just hope they clean the
water every once in a while. That's all the thing
I hope, because they've got a lot of kids in there,
and you know what kids do in the pools.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Oh, we know, yes, but they are highly chlorinated. I
come out of those things in you I feel like
you're reeking of chlorine.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Well they have to. Oh, I know, and it's it's horrible.
The only thing about water parks and I love water parks,
I really do love them. The only thing I hate
about water parks this is just so crowded all the time.
If they would clear a water park for me. If
I was like as rich as are in Mom, Donnie
and I could have a water park cleared for me,
I would then that would be my dream come true.
(17:44):
I have a yeah it crash just got in my
ear and said I could go in December. I'd have
it all to myself. Thanks so much, Larry Kowski. How
about Donald Trump? As Larry just talked about, he just
keeps winning and proving all the naysayers wrong. The biggest
Tara deal yet and more may be coming. We'll give
you the details next and don't forget. You can leave
(18:06):
us a talkback all morning long. Go to seven ten
wor on the iHeartRadio app, click the microphone, and when
you're there, put seven to ten WOOR on your presets. Plus,
you could win a limited edition Menti in the Morning
t shirt, which will be awarded every day to our
favorite talkback of the morning. Look, I know it's like Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein,
(18:27):
And I know people are talking about just about everything
except these trade deals. But this one that was signed yesterday,
it's a big deal. It's a huge deal. I don't
know how big. I don't know if you know how
big the European Union and America is together. When it
comes to the economy, we're talking about eight hundred million people.
(18:52):
When you put the two together. We put the European
Union and you put America in there. That's forty four
percent of the world's gross domestic product between those two entities,
much bigger than China, much bigger than Russia. Everyone else
dwarfs these two and for them to make a trade deal,
(19:15):
for them to get together and make this kind of
trade deal is just a huge deal, an enormous deal.
And so I just wanted to make sure you understand
how big this is. And it was announced yesterday. I
think it was a surprise to them that it was
going that it actually happened while Donald Trump was visiting Scotland.
(19:38):
I think they hoped it was going to happen. But
when it did happen, you know, they rushed out and
the two of them looked giddy. Or as giddy as
Ursula Vanderleyan can look. She's German and she heads the
European Commission they call it. That's the commission that runs
the European Union. And so she made this announcement a deal.
Speaker 14 (20:01):
We have a trade deal between the two largest economies
in the world. And it's a big deal. It's a
huge deal. It will bring stability, it will bring predictability.
That's very important for our businesses on both sides of
the Atlantic.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
It's huge for the United States. There's no question when
you look at this deal. The United States got the
better end of this deal because we had a deficit
with them of like three hundred billion dollars deficit in trade.
And Donald Trump came in and looked at all these
trade deals and he's the first one to do that.
(20:38):
He did it the last time he was in Biden
ignored them. And now he looked at these again and
he said, this isn't going to work. That's why we've
been going through all this, and everybody's been saying from
the beginning, all these people, especially the Democrats and the
media int and then Jerome Powell bought into it. Oh,
the economy is going to be awful. That's why he
wouldn't drop interest rates, even though the economy has been
(20:59):
one wonderful. He was like, oh, no, these tariffs, they're
going to ruin the economy. Everybody was saying that, and
Donald Trump constantly was saying, just wait, weight we're working
on these trade deals. Let them happen. And one by
one they were happening. And now we have the biggest
one ever.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Seven hundred and fifty billion dollars worth of energy. They
are going to agree to invest into the United States,
six hundred billion dollars more than they're investing already.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Now. The number they wouldn't talk about, which may be
the biggest number, but the number they wouldn't talk about
they wouldn't put a figure on, is how much military
equipment that the EU is going to buy from America.
That's going to be up into one hundreds of billions
as well. But maybe the biggest part of this deal
is I don't know if you knew this, but many
(21:56):
countries in the EU would not open up their market
it's to American trade. So we took their products, they
took none of our products, and so they made money.
We didn't make any money. We made money on the
tariffs and what they were sending in, but our companies
made no money when they went over there, and so
(22:19):
that's all changed.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
They're agreeing to open up their countries to trade at
zero tariff. So that's a very big factor.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
It is a huge factor. When this is all totaled up,
it's going to be close to or maybe a little
bit over three trillion dollars. So when you hear about
all of these fears about the economy, and it will
continue with the Democrats, they're gonna poo poo this whole thing,
say it's not gonna help, it's gonna you know, we're
(22:50):
still going in the wrong direction. When you hear anybody
talking about the economy, remind them that three trillion dollars
when you take all the deals, with the deals with
a Dubai in Saudi Arabia, the deal, the money that's
coming in there, we're told we could get up close
to ten trillion dollars with all the investment into our
(23:11):
country and all of these trade deals, we're going to
be an extremely prosperous country very soon. And this is
going to it's going to bring down the deficit. I
know he wants to leave office with a balanced budget.
I know that's his goal, and this is what is
heading towards that. This was an astounding deal for the
(23:34):
United States. And I know that not everybody understands economics.
I mean, I'm not pretending to be an economist, but
I do know how much this is going to mean
to our economy. And I do know that all of
the things that people were worried about and screaming about
in the big beautiful bill, that's all going to be
paid for here. And another thing is we might have
(23:58):
three or four deals before August first. There's some other
ones that are out there that are close and so,
but August first. By the way, Howard Lutnik was being
interviewed and he said, that's the end. Once Howard, once,
once it comes, that's going to be the end.
Speaker 15 (24:14):
Okay, So no extensions, no more grace periods. August first,
the tariffs are set, they'll go into place, customs will
start collecting the money, and off we go. Obviously, after
August first, people can still talk to President Trump.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
I mean he's always willing to listen. Yeah, I mean,
those tariff rates, the fifteen percent like across the board,
coming and going it's going to happen for almost all
the rest of the countries. Understand that when we're talking
about these tariffs and the effect and the economy, we're
talking about the top fifteen to eighteen countries that we
deal with, and there's you know, two hundred countries, but
(24:51):
the rest of them we don't do that much trade with.
And I don't think we're going to cut trade deals
with most of those countries. We're just going to say
it's fifteen percent. But with the other countries, that's what
we're working on right now. And the top ones, you know,
including Japan and the United Kingdom, the top ones, China,
the top ones have been done and so probably and
(25:14):
I haven't looked at the percentage, but I'm guessing about
seventy five percent of the money coming into the country
we have new tariffs for so all of the doom
and gloom about the economy that's not going to happen.
That's not gonna happen. We're going to do pretty well,
and inflation is going to come down just because there's
(25:37):
so much money being pumped into this country.
Speaker 15 (25:40):
Very few products are actually going to move their price,
and basically seven hundred eight hundred billion dollars. Maybe it's
possible we get it. Near a trillion dollars of revenue
will come into the United States of America, reducing our deficit.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
And what are you things paying for?
Speaker 15 (25:55):
No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax
on social security. Right, these are the monies that are
going against that. So I think if you take a
look at the whole thing, it's going to be fantastic.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah, it is going to be. And that was lut
Nick talking about the deal actually before it happened, and
before we understood that there was a military equation to it,
before we understood that all the markets were going to
be open, which is an enormous deal for this country.
So this happens, and you can tell Donald Trump is
(26:30):
as happy as he can be, and so is the
European Union. They were worried about this as well. It's
a big celebration over in Scotland. And then somebody, of
course asks about Epstein.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
Oh, you got to be kidding with it.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
No, I had nothing to do with it. Only you
would think that, Yeah, he just wouldn't answer. There's no
answer on Epstein that's going to be coming from this
White House. Anytime soon. It is amazing to me that
the Democrats care so much about Epstein now cares so
(27:06):
much about this, But that's all they have left. Do
they have the economy anymore? Not really. The two things
that Donald Trump ran on, the economy and securing the border,
He's basically done within his first year. That's why these
(27:26):
tariffs were so important. That pays for everything else. And
so remember the Democrats, they were out in front saying
we're going to have a recession. It's going to be awful.
Poor Kamala Harris was out there, she was already running
on this.
Speaker 12 (27:44):
Some people are describing what's been happening in recent months
as absolute chaos, and it's certainly true of those tariffs,
tariffs that, as I predicted, are clearly inviting a recession.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yeah, we're not gonna have a recession. We're gonna have
one of the strongest economies we've ever had. We'll have
one of the strongest economies we've had since Trump's first term,
and it seems like it's to be stronger than that.
He sat for four years thinking about this, about what
(28:20):
he can do to bring more money into America, and
he's finally got it. And now not only does he
have do we have Donald Trump that did this? But
he's setting up people to run to replace him. You know,
not only his son is gonna run. I'm sure Don
Junior is gonna run. But you have JD. Vance, you
have Marco Rubio, you have a really strong bench. But
(28:42):
as Stephen A. Smith says, the Democrats, who do they
have as a body?
Speaker 16 (28:48):
The Democratic Party just looks very very bad right now
because they look leaderless. They don't have a definitive voice
that anybody can depend on.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Right So, every time all these attacks on Donald Trump,
every time you hear that, you have to say, Okay,
who's on the other side, what do the Democrats have
right now? And you're gonna get You're not gonna get
an answer. But one of the guys that's talked about
a lot, by the way, that I do want to
I do want to call attention to, is Josh Shapiro,
(29:18):
the governor of Pennsylvania. Recently, he slammed Mom Donnie. He's smart,
He's going to get out in front of going against
this guy who's an anti Semite and him being a
Jewish American, you know, he has a lot of credibility
doing that. Well, that's just something to watch. Wow, almost
an hour we're into the show and we only talked
(29:39):
a little bit about Epstein. That's about the change. When
we hear Donald Trump answer the question will he grant
Julaine Maxwell of pardon that's next And we all remember
that one teacher who made a difference, who believed in us,
or challenged us, or just made learning fun. Well, now's
your chance to say thank you to them in a
big way. With iHeartRadio's Teacher powered by Donor's Choice, you
(30:03):
can nominate an outstanding public school teacher who has gone
above and beyond for their students for a chance to
win five thousand dollars for them to use in their
classroom for whatever supplies they need. Teachers give their time,
they give their money, they give their hearts to help
students succeed. Help us. Now say thank you to those
(30:26):
educators shaping our future. Nominate your favorite teacher now at
iHeartRadio dot com slash teachers. Well, it's amazing, isn't it.
When this trade deal was signed and the biggest trade
deal in the history of the world is signed, the
economy is going to do better. It's going to be
(30:47):
so great, and a reporter asks Donald Trump about Epstein,
and he gave the perfect responses, you heard a second ago.
You're kidding me, right, it's not going to go away.
I mean, I know we're in the middle of this
congressional recess right now. But when they come back. Even
Speaker Johnson, Mike Johnson, who's been stonewalling this hoping that
(31:08):
it was going to go away, who refused to vote
on it before the recess, actually went on recess early
to avoid a vote, hoping that after five or six
weeks this whole thing would calm down. Even he has
turned around and said, you know what, we're gonna have
to do something.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
And she is serving a twenty year sentence for child
sex trafficking, and so her character is in some question.
But if she wants to come clean now, that would
be a great service to the country. And we'd like
to know every single bit of information that she has.
I certainly hope she's telling the truth.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Yeah, he's talking about just Laine Maxwell, but you know, obviously,
and he before didn't want to talk to her. Now
he's saying, of course I do, yes, absolutely, And the
normal you know Trump haters in Congress they're out too,
but they've actually been kind. I mean they I think
(31:58):
everybody is getting on the see page right now about
Epstein that something has to happen, even Thomas Massey, who
normally votes against what Donald Trump wants, because he goes
Thomas Massey, you have to respect him, even though you
may get frustrated with him. And I know Donald Trump
is really frustrated with him and is going to run
(32:18):
somebody against him, which Thomas Massey says, you know, I'm
so popular in my district, I'll probably still win. We'll
have to watch that. But even Thomas Massey is defending
Trump and saying, look, everybody, the Democrats are all over
this because they hope it's going to embarrass the president.
He said, I don't think it's gone though.
Speaker 7 (32:38):
I don't think the President himself is particularly implicated in
these files. You know, there have been some theories that
that's the case. But I do think he has friends
who may be embarrassed by the release of these files,
and the release of these files may not implicate them.
It may just be embarrassment. But for some reason, he's
decided to do a one to eighty on.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
This right, And I think that's the case. I think
he just nailed to tell you the truth. And there's
a look and it's going to happen. Congress is going
to talk to Jilane Maxwell if she wants to. She
may say no, she may say listen, I did enough.
I already did it, although probably just getting out of
jail for a couple of days. She'll do it for
(33:18):
And I don't know where they're going to do it.
Apparently they're going to go down to the same facility
where Donald Trump did his They can't bring her up
to Washington, d C. The judge would have to sign
off on that, and it doesn't look like he's going to.
But a person after person doesn't expect Donald Trump to
be on there going to Pedophile Island. Yeah, he flew
(33:38):
on the plane.
Speaker 16 (33:39):
President Trump flew on the plane, but not to the island.
And he said that even ban that dirt bag from
Mary Largo fifteen years ago. So I think there's a
lot to be learned in this, and I'm glad to
get it out. I'm disappointed to bide administration sat on
this for four years.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
That's another mega Republican. But how about the Democrats now
jumping on this even though they didn't care about Here's
Alyssa Slotkin, the congresswoman who's now running for Senate in Michigan,
back in twenty twenty.
Speaker 17 (34:07):
I will be honest, I don't spend a ton of
time looking into connections between Bill Clinton and other people
because that doesn't help my constituents every single day.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Right, No interest, no interest in the files back then. Now,
all of a.
Speaker 18 (34:24):
Sudden, I genuinely have no idea what's in these files. Right,
but the President and his allies have created so much
anticipation about these files at this point, it's just weird
that they're not releasing them.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
So now she wants them out all of the sudden.
All these Democrats want them out after they were trying
to protect Bill Clinton for years. It's going to happen,
whether you like it or not. It's coming out. Alena
Haba was out and now she is back as the
New Jersey US attorney and New Jersey columnist Mike Kelly
(34:57):
is not happy at all about it. Get ready for
some Hobba bashing by Mike coming up after the seven
o'clock News
