Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well in the Big three as expected. Bruce Blakeman, the
NASA County executive, just won an impressive reelection and today
he is going to announce that he is running to
be the Republican nominee to take on Governor Hokeel in
the fall, even though Congresswoman a least Staphonic is already
(00:20):
in the race.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
We don't have coronations in our party. We're not like
the Democratic Party that had a coronation for Kamala Harris.
How did that work out for the Democrats? Competition is
a good thing.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
The socialist is going to live in a mansion. The
truth of the matter is he's lived in a mansion
his whole life. He's a fraud. Socialists or in mom
Donnie has decided that he will live in Gracie mansion
after all. The reason, well, all of those death threats.
He needs extra security.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I get threats on my life.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
It makes sense that he's moving to where all the
mayors live historic but I don't doubt where his loyalties lie.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Alina Haba has resigned as US Attorney in New Jersey
after an appellate court court ruled she was disqualified for
the role. This all started when New Jersey's two Democratic
senators withheld their approval with something called boo blue slip approval.
You've got a blue slip thing.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
That's horrible.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's a horrible thing. It makes it impossible to appoint
the judge or US attorney. And it's a shame, and
the Republicans should be ashamed of themselves that they allowed
us to go on because I can't appoint a US
attorney that's not a Democrat. The crazy thing about the
blue slip is there's no legislation. This only exists as
(01:43):
a courtesy among senators that if you are in a
state and some judge or US attorney nominee is up,
you are allowed to put forward a blue slip and
stop the nomination. One person can do that. It is wrong,
it's ridiculous, and that's got to end. The free trial
(02:04):
hearing of Luigi Mangioni drags on much longer than most
evidentiary hearings. It's like a trial before a trial. That's
exactly right, that's exactly what it is.
Speaker 6 (02:14):
It's a mini trial and we're on witness number seven,
I think of twenty five, twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
If Congress doesn't act to fix the healthcare system now
now that the Affordable Care Act is set to expire,
and they both promised, both sides said they were going
to work on this, the Democrats and the Republicans. If
it doesn't happen, state healthcare systems in New Jersey, in
New York, in Connecticut is going to feel it, and
(02:43):
so are the patients. They're going to feel the side effects.
Speaker 7 (02:46):
Any effects of increasing insurance premiums and so forth not
only have a profound effect on patients itself, it's also
the healthcare system and also the healthcare workers itself.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
The Minnesota fraud case continues to grow. Members of the
state's large Somalian immigrant community defrauded the federal government of
a billion dollars. That might be more than that, as
Governor Tim Walls allegedly looked the other way.
Speaker 8 (03:12):
We believe that the Somali fraud operation in Minnesota is
the single greatest theft of taxpayer dollars through welfare fraud
in American history.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
And how about crazy Jasmine Crockett. If you think she's
so popular that she's going to run for the Senate
trying to unsee powerful Texas Senator John Cronin there are a.
Speaker 9 (03:33):
Lot of people that say, you got to stay in
the house.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
We need our.
Speaker 10 (03:38):
Voice, we need you there, and I understand, But what
we need is for me to have a bigger voice.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah. What I understand is because of the redistricting in Texas,
she was probably going to lose reelection for her congressional seat.
So now she's decided to go out with a bang.
I would be stunned if she even came close to
beating John Cronin. I'll tell you what this is the
last day you can bid on coming in here and
(04:09):
spending some time with me, and all the money goes
to a great cause. It's called the Hunger Thon, and
you go to hunger thon dot org slash iHeart you

(04:54):
The auction ends this afternoon. Hunger thon dot org slash
iHeart Now, let's talk to John Decker, wr White House
and Washington Correspondent, host of the new podcast, The White
House Briefing Room with John Decker. When can we stop
calling it the new podcast? How long before let's start
(05:15):
it in a new year?
Speaker 11 (05:16):
How about that?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Okay, there you go. That's just thanks, thank you. Somebody
answered me, nobody answers me. Here it can be found
in the iHeartRadio app. John is with us every Tuesday
and Thursday at this time. By the way, I heard
the podcast is doing really well. I listened to it
a couple of times. It's great. It's really good, especially
(05:37):
for those who are interested in politics and what's going
on in Washington, DC. You're getting good feedback.
Speaker 11 (05:44):
I'm getting great feedback, absolutely, you know. I couldn't be happier.
And it's real simple, as you know, go to the
iHeartRadio app, make it a preset, and you get in
fifteen minutes or less, everything you need to know about
the White House on any given day and you get
it straight from the person and who speaks directly to
the president almost every day.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Well, that's wonderful. Are you gonna be Are you going
to travel to the Poconos today.
Speaker 11 (06:08):
I'm not going to travel to the Poconos today, But
I was just telling Natalie, I've got a better trip plan.
I'm going to be with the President on Saturday at
the Army Navy game. So I can't wait for that.
That's going to be really awesome.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Oh, that'll be a blast that. Have you ever been
to one?
Speaker 11 (06:24):
I've been to many. My first one, I went to
the Army Navy game in Philadelphia with my grandfather when
I was.
Speaker 12 (06:32):
A young boy.
Speaker 11 (06:33):
One hundred thousand people at the old JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.
It was awesome, and I've been many times since. It's
a real thrill to be there.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
We may have been at the same game. I went
to see an Army Navy game at JFK Stadium too.
Speaker 13 (06:47):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
JFK was that's that was the That's what I was
on the world stage at that point.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
And you know what, he was at the Kennedy Center
Honors this weekend. He's getting the good you know, lifts here,
I am.
Speaker 11 (07:04):
Yeah, And I got a few questions to the President
on the red carpet at the Kennedy Center, so that
was pretty good too.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Oh what did you ask him?
Speaker 11 (07:12):
Well, I stuck to the you know what he was
there for. I asked the President what's harder preparing for
the State of the Union addresser or being the host
at the Kennedy Center Honors and the presidents that I'll
let you know after i'd do this show. And I said, okay,
give that to me exclusively, mister President, and he said
he would, So there you go. Did he I have
not seen the President since he hosted, but the President
(07:35):
I also asked him what kind of ratings he expects.
You know, it's the first time a US president has
ever hosted the Kennedy Center Honors since its inception in
nineteen seventy eight. The President said he expects record ratings.
So that's setting the up bar pretty high, Larry, for
what we expect when the Kennedy Center Honors airs on
CBS on December the twenty third.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Oh, that's going to be great. And it's pretty aclictic
group that are being honored, name some of them. I mean,
I know, I know Michael Crawford, I know Gene Simmons
from Kiss.
Speaker 11 (08:08):
Yeah, all of Kiss, the band Kiss. And also I
think the big name there, Sylvester Stallone. Hard to believe
he was not a Kennedy Center honoree before, but he
was on hand for this great honor and I think
he you know, he deserves it absolutely, you know, and
showed a few clips from from Rocky, played some music
that iconic music from Rocky as well. Bill Conti directed that.
(08:32):
So I watched the whole shows. It's a good show
to watch.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
I'll tell you what, you know, as much grief as
I've been giving zorin Mom Donnie and this, as much
as I think he might hurt the city of New York,
he got to give him a lot of credit for
the campaign he ran and the fact that he was
able to zero in on affordability. And I remember at
the time they were having meetings with him to talk
to him just specifically about that issue and how it
(08:57):
worked for him. And now look at the President's going
to the country to talk about affordability. It's now grown
to the point where it's this much of a national issue.
Speaker 11 (09:08):
Well it's a national issue, but it's just another word
for you know, talking about the economy, and the economy's
always been an important issue in every election, and we
saw that play out not only the mayor's race that
you just mentioned, Larry, but the governor's races in New
Jersey and also in Virginia. Affordability number one issue for
so many voters. And also that special election that happened
(09:28):
just the other week in that district in Tennessee. So
the President recognizes this is an important issue for voters,
especially as the President looks to hold on to the
House and the Senate next year. For the midterms, he's
going to be doing more of these types of one
day trips. Today's to Mount Pocono in Pennsylvania, but I
am told from the White House that we can expect
(09:50):
more of these trips in the early part of twenty
twenty six.
Speaker 14 (09:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I agree with you about affordability just being the economy, John,
but affordability is more personal. It makes it campaign word,
where the economy is general and it's sterile. So yeah,
I thought that was the most important things or Mom
don he did was he he gave that camp He
gave that campaign word to mostly Democrats, but now the
(10:13):
president is trumping on. Hey John, thanks so much. John
Decker is going to be with us you Larry, Yeah,
twice a week. He'll be back Thursday at seven oh five.
Thanks a lot, John. When your kid joins a travel
soccer team and ask for a private what it is now? Now?
When your kid joins a travel soccer team and is
(10:34):
he asking for a private plane? And if you're not,
if you don't give him a private plane or you're
a bit parent, we'll let you know next Well, thanks
a lot for your talkbacks. Just if you want to
leave one, you just go to the iHeartRadio app looking
for seven to ten wo R. You'll see a talkback feature.
There'll be a microphone. Hit it and say what you
want to say, and then we play it.
Speaker 12 (10:55):
I'm all for boat strikes, and I'm all for strikes
on nuclear facilities, and I'm all for strike making drug
infrastructure in Venezuela and that sort of thing. But I
don't know about regime change. I'm looking back at twenty
years of Afghanistan, you know, I'm looking back at the
Arab spring. I just I don't think regime.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Change is the best idea.
Speaker 12 (11:19):
You want these people to fail on their own.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Well, he has failed. The problem is he has so
much power and it's a criminal enterprise. I mean, this
is unlike anybody else they've talked about before. I agree
with you when it comes to most things, when it
comes to most regime changes, especially around the world, especially
in the Arab countries in our hemisphere. I mean, would
(11:45):
you argue against Trump and Obama taking out the leaders
of Haiti and Panama at the time. I mean, they
both did it. It's so it's not as rare as
people think. Most of the time it's covert, it's not overt,
but sometimes, like with Maduro, I don't think there's anybody
(12:08):
in the civilized world that doesn't think Meduro should go.
He is a criminal, a criminal that is running a
huge crime syndicate in charge of a country, and he's
treating the people horribly. I think the people in Venezuela
will applaud if he leaves. Larry.
Speaker 9 (12:30):
If Democrats are going to argue that more drugs come
in from Mexico than over the ocean, and we shouldn't
be blowing up these boats, it's not really solving the problem.
Why did they object the building the wall between us
in Mexico. Clearly, they just want the problem to persist.
They want drug addicts for some reason, and you can't
(12:51):
quite figure that one out.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
I don't think they want drug addicts, but I do
think that everything is so political, and it is amazing
to me that they thought just letting people in over
the border. First of all, they thought that could begetting
Democratic votes, and now most of them are Republicans. But
they also thought it would get them Hispanic votes of
(13:14):
people that were here, and it turns out the Hispanics
didn't want it either. The American Latinos did not want it.
They that's why they left to get away from those people.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
Larry, I love you, man, but you keep walking away
from general principles. Okay, it's not whether these are bad
guys that were blowing up in the Caribbean Sea, but
whether Trump or any president has followed the correct rules,
and that means going to Congress for authorization of either
war or at least an authorization to use force. It's
(13:46):
not just oh, Trump believes it's bad, ergo we get
the bomb the hell out.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah, but it happens with every president. I mean, yes,
if you really firmly believe that, then vote for people
that firmly believe that because Democrats and Republicans. I think
the last war that was approved by Congress, well, we
did have the I was going to say the Korean War.
We had the Korean War, and then we also had
(14:12):
a rock. But most wars haven't been and certainly no strikes.
Obama didn't go to Congress when he had five hundred
drone strikes all around the world. It is unusual. I
think that boat not as any kind of pund that
boats has sailed. I did say we're going to talk
about this mom on the Upper east Side. This is
(14:35):
I would Natalie to get involved with this because this
is one of her favorite stories. She was laughing as
she read it. This is from page six. This is
what you This is a rich helicopter mom. This is
a private plane mom.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Explain Okay, So there is a Facebook group, the Moms
of the Upper east.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Side where this is going.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
Yeah, because I'm on these mom groups and I get
that's a lot of controversy there. So apparently an anonymous
parent asked if it was wrong if to fly private
to her son's travel soccer games while he flew coach
with the team. So the mom explained that her son
he's never flown coach either or a commercial, and she
(15:17):
was expressing discomfort over the budget hotels they were gonna
have to stay at. She even went to the point
of thinking, maybe I'll hire my old nanny to be
the chaperone.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
She have to have a chaperone because she would not
fly on the commercial flight with her son.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
So I have been one of these travel soccer moms.
I have stayed at the budget hotels. I've gone to
the dinners with the team, which is always fun, and
you just have to do it. It's your kid, and
that's the way it goes. And if you want your
kid to be in some elite team that doesn't go
to budget hotels, I'm sure there's a team for you.
(15:55):
I'm sure there's a team for you.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
So just the private playing teams. I'm not sure there's
enough players for the private plane.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Team you want the Upper east Side, There probably is one,
So just suck it up, just go on the plane,
take your little gummies with you, and deal with it.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
My god, I'd love to have those kind of problems.
There's a part of me that's jealous of her. Oh,
I'm totally jealous.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Oh gosh, I'm loving this so much because we've all
been there. You've been in the travel.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Soccer absolutely not soccer, but yeah, football and baseball and basketball.
And now I have a granddaughter that's a super athlete,
and I'm gonna go through it again.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
And you know what, they make the funniest stories later
on because we laugh about those times all the time.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Now, let's get to Jack lincarl with the seven thirty News,
jacqlin Hey.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Larry NASA County executive Bruce Blakeman is officially running for
governor next year. He released a video this morning that
describes the Republicans quote a strong leader with a proven
track record of delivering the change we need to put
New York for first. Now, this sets up a primary
between Blakeman, an upstate New York congresswoman at Leastaphonic Stephani's
campaign released a statement blasting blake mean by saying, after
(17:10):
a career of colluding with elected Democrats, Blakeman's swansong is
choosing to prop up Kathy Hokeel. Hokel says if there's
a Republican primary, it makes it much more entertaining for
her and accused United Healthcare CEO killer Luigia Mangoni will
be back in the Manhattan court today as a multi
day pre trial evidence oppression hearing continues.
Speaker 13 (17:31):
Mangioni's defense lawyers argued in court on Monday that police
in Pennsylvania made up a story about a possible bomb
as a reason to search Luigi Mangioni's backpack without a warrant.
Inside that backpack, prosecutor say there were several notes, a journal,
a knife, credit cards, a passport, and the alleged gun
used to kill CEO Brian Thompson. Mangoni's defense is trying
(17:52):
to get that evidence tossed from the case because his
lawyers argue Mangioni's rights were violated when he was arrested
in Altuona, PA a year ago. I'm Scout Pringle wr News.
Speaker 6 (18:01):
So i have an exciting update on a story we
did last week. I'm just gonna quickly recap it for
those that haven't heard it or don't remember it. According
to the bro Bible, Samuel widen Hoffer is a creator
who's made his name by making positive changes in people's lives.
Speaker 10 (18:16):
Now.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
Last week, he posted a video featuring retired Army veteran
Ed Bombas. Bombas is eighty eight years old and works
full time at a grocery store because he has to.
He originally worked for GM for four decades, but lost
his pension when the company filed for bankruptcy in two
thousand and nine. Bombas also hit hard times because his
wife got sick and he no longer had health insurance,
(18:37):
so he sold his property to get by. His wife
passed away seven years ago and he's been working at
the grocery ever since, but he's still well over two
hundred thousand dollars in debt from his wife's illness. The
story of mister Bombas reached Widenhoffer and a go fundme
was established to help him out. More than sixty five
thousand donors contributed, and Bombas was presented with a check
(18:59):
for more than one point seven million dollars. Yes, more
than enough for him to get out of debt and
retire the way he always dreamed of. Now that's taking
care of our veterans. And this guy worked hard his
whole life. I mean, my god, I love those I'm
so happy now.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yeah, that's wonderful. Thanks for that update. The Federal Funds
fraud scandal in Minnesota continues to grow and a US
congresswoman may be involved. We'll have the latest next and
Wor congratulates all of our five thousand dollars winners and
Iheartradios thank a teacher promotion powered by donor's choice. There
(19:37):
is still time for you to nominate a teacher making
a difference and maybe they'll be one of our next
winners of five thousand dollars to make over their classroom.
Help us say thank you to the educators who are
shaping our future by nominating your favorite teacher now at
iHeartRadio dot com slash teachers. Well, while we were on
(19:58):
the air just a short time ago, Bruce Blakeman was
on Fox News and he made his announcement that he
is going to run for governor of New York.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
I'm very honored and proud that I'm going to be
on Fox and Friends with you right now to announce
that I'm running for governor of the state of New York.
I'm seeking the Republican and Conservative nominations. We want to
put New York first. We want to make it more affordable,
we want to make New York safer, and we want
to make people in New York happy again.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yeah, he was pumped. I will tell you that. I
could see it was happening when we were talking during
the last segment, and he seemed excited. We're going to win.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
We're going to win because in Nassau County, which is
a mirror image of New York State, the demographics are
almost the same. I got almost a third of the
African American vote, when most Republicans only get like nine percent.
I got fifty six percent of the Hispanic American votes.
I got independent women, I've got independent men, crossover democrats.
We won by thirty six thousand votes in a county
(21:01):
with one hundred and ten thousand more Democrats.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Right now, this is all important because one of the
problems that people have with Eleista Phonic is that she's
they say, she's really conservative. She you know, is so
involved with Donald Trump and she can't attract Democratic votes
that she's going to get all the Republicans, they're going
to love her, but she's not going to get Democratic votes.
(21:26):
So that's what Blakeman is laying out. What he's saying
to you is I appeal to everybody. I appeal to Democrats,
I appeal to women. I appeal to Hispanics, I appeal
to blacks. And what he's claiming without coming out and
saying is that elasta Phonic does not.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
I'm ready for the fight, and I'm going to fight
for New Yorkers. I'm going to make sure that we
do have economic prosperity. I'm fighting for your children and
your grandchildren so that they have a bright future. We're
going to create prosperity. We're going to make New York safer,
We're going to make it the Empire state again.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Right, Well it's on now, Well it's official. Bruce Blakeman
is running. I'm sure we're going to have him on
on the next couple of days. But it's gonna be
a fight, man. I'll tell you what a least Dephonic
versus Bruce Blakeman. I would pay to watch that debate.
I'm not gonna have to because it's gonna be free.
But trust me, there's gonna be a debate. And I
(22:19):
cannot wait for the first polls to come out. But
the Republicans have a pretty deep bench, and that's two
strong candidates right now that have a big Republican following
and will do well in a statewide election. So it's on. Now,
it's on. It's gonna be Kathy hokeel versus either Elise
(22:41):
Staphonic or Bruce Blakeman. Now, let's talk about the fraud
case in Minnesota that just seems to be getting bigger
and bigger and bigger. It is a fraud case that
was ignored for seven years, seven years, and they were whistleblowers.
There were a lot of people alone, a lot of
good people in Minnesota that were in charge of all
(23:02):
these federal funds. Federal funds that were supposed to go
the families that needed help during COVID, people that were sick.
It was supposed to go to seniors. It was supposed
to help fight autism. I mean, it was enormous. It
was supposed to buy food for the Hungary and much
of it. Now right now, they're saying a billion dollars,
(23:24):
but they're also saying this could grow with an investigation
up to double that to two billion dollars, making it
maybe the biggest state scandal in American history when it
comes through the money that was taken. And of the
twenty eight cases that are being investigated, twenty eight cases,
(23:46):
twenty five of them are in the Samalian community, and
so all of this stuff you're going to hear from
the Democrats. Oh, it's Donald Trump being a racist again.
He's going after the Smalling community. That's the Smalian community
trying to protect itself the only way it can because
many people have already gone to jail and have been
found guilty and the investigation really has just started because
(24:09):
Tim Walls. Oh my god, did we miss a bullet
on that one. Thank god that Kamala Harris didn't get elected.
Can you imagine if Tim Walls was the vice president
right now with this entire scandal coming out. I'll tell
you what. The woman that is Speaker of the House
to muth is, she's thrilled that this is coming out now.
(24:31):
She's been trying to call attention to it. She's been
from the beginning. They've been talking about it in the
legislator there and it was killed by Walls.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
For the last seven years, we have looked at fraud
that has exploded under Governor Tim Walls in autism, services,
Feeding our Future, the food scandal during the COVID time
as the largest COVID food scandal, taxpayer money waste in
the nation, and we've been sounding the alarm over the years.
We're finally getting that national attention that we need so
(25:03):
much here in our state to have full investigations.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
That's Lisa Dumouth, as I said, she is Speaker of
the Minnesota House. She is running for governor right now,
so she's out on front of this. You're going to
see her on TV a lot. Also out on front
on this, for a completely different reason, is Ilhan Omar,
a member of the squad, a congress person from Minnesota
(25:30):
that represents the Somalian community. Now, she is closely tied
to almost everyone that's been indicted. She's gotten campaign contributions
from dozens of them. When she announced that she was running,
she had it at a restaurant that is owned by
(25:50):
one of the people that's going to jail right now
because of this. So let's see, federal funds were taken
by a group of Somalians and ilhan Omar benefited from that. Gee,
I wonder where this investigation's going.
Speaker 10 (26:10):
This also has an impact on Somali's because we are
also taxpayers in Minnesota. We also could have benefited from
the program and the money that was stolen. And so
it's been really frustrating for people to not acknowledge the
(26:33):
fact that we're you know, we're also as Minnesota as
as taxpayers, really upset and angry about the fraud that
has occurred.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Oh, I'm sure you are. I'm sure Alsha Bob who's
been getting the money and funneling it back to Somalia.
I'm sure they're extremely upset too. I'll tell you what.
There's a big in federal investigation and now Donald Trump's involved.
This is not going away.
Speaker 8 (26:56):
We are going to show how Democrat politicians, Democrat bureaucracies,
Democrat political systems, and the Somali refugee population ripped off
the American people, stole countless tax pair of dollars and
engage in scams the boggle the mind, scams that we
can scarcely even conceive of or imagine in their brazenness.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
And this just gets is just now getting started, and
it's just in time for the midterm elections. Well it's
a battle of the titans. Netflix announced a huge Hollywood
deal in a takeover of Warner Brothers. But now another
Hollywood giant is involved, it might kill the whole thing.
Woor correspondent Roy O'Neil is covering it all. He's up next.
(27:42):
And now let's talk about the Sea Crane pocket radio.
How about that. It's like the old transistor radio, is
only a million times better. It is one of the
most popular pocket radios on the market today, and it
makes a great gift. It has unbeatable AMFM reception, crisp
(28:05):
clear audio for its size. It's amazing for its size,
how clear the audio is. It's not like the old
transistors where you have to keep tuning it to get
to there. No no, no, no no. This is incredibly crisp,
and it includes earbuds tuned for voice clarity or it
has a build in speaker. As I just said, it's
(28:27):
simple to operate. It has five memory buttons to instantly
tune to your favorite station. It also makes a tremendous
emergency radio because it has a lighted dial in case
the power goes out. It has NOAH weather band, and
it has alerts that you can get over your radio.
It's very lightweight and durable. It's very easy to hold
(28:48):
with rubber sides, and it also has a pocket clip
so you can just carry it around and put the
earbuds in to order the CC pocket radio and you're
not going to be disappointed by this. It is amazing
and you need to have one of these in your
house for an emergency. You also get to receive priority
mail shipping right now, get in in time for Christmas.
(29:10):
Call Seacrane at eight hundred five to two two eight
eight sixty three. That number again is eight hundred five
to two two eight eight sixty three, or you can
visit them online at seacrane dot com. It's also available
on Amazon. Tell you what this Paramounts Warner Brothers Discovery
Netflix deal is fascinating, But I don't think it's probably
(29:34):
any more fascinating than the conversation that Natalie Vaka was
having with Rory O'Neil as we were getting set up.
I think that sound I was listening in I just
for what I could hear. I heard a lot of laughing.
I heard a lot ofugh. I heard a lot of
that kind of stuff. And I know you were talking
about the holidays. So tell me, fess up, What's what
(29:56):
was that all about?
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Ruz tell me about how he grew up having jail
at holidays, So I said, I could say, I've never
I don't think I've ever had a jello mold, but
we were an ambrosia salad family. And then I think
about it, fruit and marshmallows mixed together with sour cream.
Speaker 10 (30:14):
You can't get.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
More bizarre dessert than that.
Speaker 12 (30:16):
But jello mold.
Speaker 14 (30:18):
It's the canned fruit in heavy syrup. My teeth hurt
just thinking about it. That'd be an interesting for a talkback.
What's the what's the one thing that's brought to a
holiday table that you are like, maybe you like it,
but you don't you know, maybe you'll eat it, but
you don't like it.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
But see, I loved it, and I've actually introduced it
to my family, and nobody seemed to have the same
passion for the ambrosia salad I did.
Speaker 14 (30:47):
Yeah, how about what you're embarrassed to like? You know,
I do like fruit. I do like fruitcake. That's sort
of a thing.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Now, somebody, did you say that Rory was talking about
a jello mold with tuna fis something like that?
Speaker 14 (31:01):
Well, no, it was not jello, but it was just
some ad came up from Nostalgia something something on my
Facebook and it said the tuna tree. So you have
your appetizer is a small maybe eight inch tree of
molded tuna salad with little cherry tomatoes stuck on the
side as the balls and partially sort of strung around
(31:26):
as garland.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Oh my, you know, we're in the we're we're laughing
about it because we're on the receiving end of these things.
The people that have to make this stuff. You know,
it's like, oh God, I have to go to a party.
What am I going to do? What am I gonna
a jello mold? That's easy? No, is not easy.
Speaker 14 (31:47):
Devil hand When the last time you had a devil hand?
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Oh god, I don't think.
Speaker 15 (31:50):
Ever deviled eggs in school kids would have a devil hands.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
That's so, let's talk about Netflix, Warner Brothers, Netflix. What
the last I checked. The last I checked, Water Brothers
was buying Netflix or Netflix was buying Water Brothers. What?
What is happening? What's happening now?
Speaker 14 (32:14):
So then that deal was announced on Friday. Then on Monday,
Paramount says, ha ha ha, We've got a hostile takeover bid.
Because it really was Paramount that started these negotiations about
a month ago, and they came back with a sweeter offer. Netflix.
The CEO this morning is sort of dismissing it, saying, yeah,
we expected they try to stir the pot, but they're
confident their deal Netflix will move forward with the takeover
(32:38):
of Warner Brothers Discovery. It does include a spin off
of some channel, so that gets a little bit weird
in how you value this whole proceeding. But because otherwise,
if Paramount wins, that would be CBS News and CNN
essentially being in the same company. Probably don't need two newsrooms,
so you know that could be some big changes there too.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
Well, we can only hope anyway. I know you uhoms,
I know you have a tune of tree to get
back to. So Rory O'Neil wlilmore, National correspondent with us
every day at this time. Thanks so much, Rory. We'll
talk again. We'll talk again tomorrow. Well, Benjamin nettan Yahoo
(33:19):
is coming to America to meet with President Trump. As
that peace deal, it's pretty shaky at this point. It's
supposed to enter in the phase two, but there are
some problems. We're going to talk with Jordana Miller in
Israel about all of this after the eight o'clock
