Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, till you help you enjoy the day. It's
going to be a beautiful day today. High's in the eighties,
nice and sunny. Still a little bit of haze we're
being told is going to happen today because of those
wildfires in Canada. I didn't see it yesterday, but apparently
people with asthma and other breathing problems have to be careful.
So if you're in that category, just please be careful

(00:22):
out there. In the Big Three, the New York City
mayor's race, it's changed a little bit. Crime has jumped
to the top issue instead of affordability. After that Park
Avenue mass shooting and Zorin Mom. Donnie's soft on crime
policies are under attack.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I don't think the assemblyment understands public safety at all.
He's against having police response to domestic violence calls. Sixty
to seventy percent of domestic violence calls involve physical violence
or threats of physical violence. Against having police respond to
hate crimes. Many hate crimes.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Violence involved in Franklin Township, New Jersey. Just a horrible story,
a double murder suicide involving a state trooper who killed
thirty three year old veterinarian Lauren Samanchik and twenty nine
year old fireman Tyler Webb, who were dating. The trooper

(01:20):
had harassed the woman for months after she stopped dating him.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
She tried to block him many times, and he continued
to call her from restricted numbers and she would. He
showed up at her work.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
That's where the car was keyed. He put recording devices
in her home, water in her gas tank. He harassed
her left and right. Yeah, Samanchik was unsuccessful in getting
a restraining order against Trooper Ricardo Jorse Santos, who, after
killing those two took his own life. The origins of

(01:53):
the Russia hoax investigation is now a criminal investigation with
a grand jury considering FED charges that include conspiracy of
several people in the Obama administration.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
The Russia collusion hoax against President Trump remains the single
greatest hoax and the greatest assault on our democracy in
the history of this country. There's no comparison, there's no
parallel to anything else. It was a coup, and.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
The ridiculous criticism over the American Eagle Sydney Sweeney jeansad
is about to get even more ridiculous. Once the woke
Democrats find out she is a registered Republican and.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
She's a registered Republican.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
Oh now, I love her ad?

Speaker 7 (02:41):
Is that right?

Speaker 8 (02:42):
As Sidney Sweeney, you'd be surprised at how.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Many people are Republicans. That's what I wouldn't have known.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
But I'm glad you told me that if Sydney Sweeney
is a registered Republican.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
I think her AD is fantastic.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
And sales her up at American On The stock has
jumped twenty percent since the ad was released. Now, let's
get right to Jordana Miller in Jerusalem and covering a
couple important, big stories of course, that are all surrounded
around the war between Israel and Hamas. Thank you for
joining us, Jordana. I guess the headline is that Benjamin

(03:20):
Netanyahu is proposing that Israeli forces move forward with plans
to fully occupy and conquer Gaza.

Speaker 9 (03:29):
Is that right?

Speaker 10 (03:32):
That is what we're told by sources close to the
Prime Minister that he is indeed made He has made
a decision to move forward with expanding the military operation,
including taking over all of the Gaza strip. This is
something that you know, many around the Prime Minister and

(03:54):
many generals have been talking about for some time since
since Israel the ceassireback in March. The you know, reigning
theory was that the more military pressure there was, the
more Hamas would cave in and come forward and agree

(04:15):
to a seafire. It has not worked. Since March. We've
seen Hamas withstand the military pressure is well. Now we
have to remind everyone the Israeli Army is now in
control of seventy five percent of the Gaza Strip and
there are certain areas the army has not gone into

(04:35):
for fear that it might endanger the lives of the hostages.
Right these are parts of Gaza City in the north,
parts of central Gaza, and parts of the humanitarian zone
further south and west in the Almawassi area. But now
the Israeli Prime Minister is saying that, you know, he

(04:59):
wants to recommend going into those areas. It's very controversial,
especially among the Israly public. Again for fears that the
hostages may lose their lives. Remember, Hamas just several days
ago put out to kill orders that if the Israli

(05:19):
army operates in certain areas that they will kill the hostages.
So this is a controversial decision and it has not.
It has not been finalized. The Prime Minister holding a
cabinet meeting today on it, and may take several cabinet
meetings before a final decision is made.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Well, you live.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
There and you have been experiencing all of this from
the very beginning. Tell me how this plays out. If
he decides that he wants to do this, and you
said the decision hasn't been finalized. If he decides he
wants to go full force now and he wants to
conquer all of Gaza, your first thoughts, of course, are
with the hostages, and I know there has been public

(05:58):
support for them. So with that being said, what would
it be like, what's the public support for Benjamin Nett
and Yahoo if he wants to go in and conquer
Hermas with the hostages still playing in everyone's minds and
their well being.

Speaker 10 (06:16):
Well, I don't think that Natanielli have much public support
for the decision to go, but you know, to go
the final mile and take over the Goza syrup. First
of all, it's not a military operation from what we
understand that will you know, it's not a three or
four months operation, could take up to two years to

(06:41):
fully occupy with the stirrup. And aside from what appears
to be certain death for you know, much many of
the many of the hostages, there's also over two million
goffins that suddenly was come, you know, under the control

(07:02):
the military control of the army. And the question is,
you know, what happens the day after, is this plan
even works and Hamas is defeated? Right, that's part of
the reason that Tania wants to do this, to defeat,
you know, and claim victory over Hamas. Then what, you know,
who takes over the Gaza Strip? You know, are we

(07:23):
looking at another version of what we see in the
West Bank, which is a military occupation. So you know,
there's there's going to be a lot of pushback from
the public here and even within the army. The army
has long resisted calls to go and take over, you know, completely,
the Gaza Strip, and the current and new Army chiefs

(07:48):
does not support this plan either, right, I think he's
Thattania is going to find some some some pushback as
he moves on this.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah, and the ramifications of all this are are mind blowing.
I mean not just for the hostages, and that has
to be a first and foremost in everyone's mind. But
this won't go well in the Arab world right now.
And we've had a mostful, peaceful time since the bombing
of Iran and the ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel.

(08:18):
That will all be destroyed by this, won't it.

Speaker 10 (08:22):
Well, that's another really important point, that's right. I mean,
the Egyptians, the Jordanians, the amaranthis, the Saudis. No one's
going to be happy about Israel taking over the Gaza strip.
There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
You know.

Speaker 10 (08:37):
I think today as well, a lot of people are asking,
you know, or commenting, criticizing Natanyel. You know, did he
miss his window to end the gods of war when
Israel was on top, if you will, after the stunning
victory against Iran? You know, was at the moment that

(08:57):
he should have said, you know, well and the war
and if my government falls, I'll just go on the
you know, I'll go back out on the campaign trail,
you know, and tell the victory against Iran to try
to get re elected. You know, did he make a
mistake there? You know, it appears he was concerned a
by keeping his government together.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Jordana Miller ABC News corresponded in Jerusalem. Thank you so
much for that report. We will keep checking in with
you if that's okay, because this seems to be a
very tense situation. Appreciate your time. Wow, things changed dramatically
there if this is the case. I mean, if you know,
the story yesterday was just feeding the people in Gaza.

(09:42):
Now I can't imagine what's going to happen to the
people in Gaza.

Speaker 9 (09:46):
If this goes through.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
But your first thought is with the hostages and the
hostages family. They had a glimmer of hope that this
was all going to end, and their loved ones or
in most cases the body is of their loved ones,
We're going to be returned to them. But as this
story gets out, the likelihood of that is slimmer and

(10:09):
slimmer and slimmer. And so we'll keep checking in with
Jordana Miller. Mean, is she good? And she lives right
there in Jerusalem and she follows this and as you heard,
she has sources in the Benjamin Netanyahu administration. So we'll
talk with her again tomorrow. Well about this, let's change

(10:29):
let's change the tone. There's nothing like a prank phone
call into sports talk radio. Especially when the host is
the super serious Mike fran Sessa here for yourself next.
Oh and also our iHeartRadio Music Festival is back September
nineteenth and twentieth at T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas,
two nights, one stage live performances by Brian Adams, Ed Sheeran,

(10:54):
John Fogerty, Mariah Carey, Sammy Hagar, many many more. And
so while the world is listening on iHeart on the
iHeart App, you can be there listen for three chances
every weekday to win tickets, plus you can win airfare
plus a hotel and one thousand dollars in cash to spend.

(11:14):
Your next chance to win is today at nine a m.
So much for your talk facts. You always make the
show better, You inspire a conversation.

Speaker 9 (11:24):
We really appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
And you could win AMENSI in the Morning t shirt
if you picked this talk back of the morning, and
you could would just win a Seacrane Radio if you're
picked as talk back of the week.

Speaker 11 (11:34):
You know, Lory, I think it's important if anybody out there,
I'm sure most people saw it, but Pocahontas is back
in mom Donnie, can you believe it? I truly believe
that's the end of the Democrat Party. It really is.
I mean, they are basically supporting communism and they're not afraid.

(11:55):
This is crazy.

Speaker 9 (11:57):
Yeah, who didn't see that coming up?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Elizabeth Warren was going to come to town and support
Mom Donnie. All the crazies are, every one of them.
Bernie Sanders will AOC already has, Bernie Sanders already did
so all the usual far left suspects that one socialism
in this country, they're going to support him. The thing

(12:21):
that gets me, and it's a really interesting problem in
the Republican Party. There are some people that would like
to see Mom Donnie win. Now those people don't live
in New York, they won't have to deal with it.
But the people around the country, especially Republicans, especially Republicans

(12:42):
that might be in tough races coming up next year
or two years after that, they think having Mom Donnie,
he'll steal so much attention national attention that they can
make him the face of the Democratic Party and they
can run against Mom Donnie. And think about that for

(13:05):
a second. I mean in New York they might go, oh,
you know, especially the young and the dumb, they might think, oh, Mom, Donny,
he's great. I want to vote for Mom, Donni. That's
not gonna fly in these red districted districts in Texas,
or in North Carolina, or even in places like Michigan,
you know, some of the toss up states.

Speaker 9 (13:26):
Mom Donnie's not.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Going to play well there. So it was a great
phone call, a great talkback. I should say, thanks so
much for leaving it you again, see how you inspire conversation.
But yeah, it's a real Look. I don't want him
to win. I think it would be it would decimate
in New York. But that's the reason that some people
around the country, especially Republicans, want him to win so

(13:47):
they can say, see see what the Democrats do. So
it's gonna be fascinating. It's going to play out now
over the next couple of months. So all of you
may know this prank phone call already, but what we
have to play for you is new. So Mike Francessa
was back when he was on WFAN. He's not anymore,
but back when he was on wf AN, he got
a prank phone call from a guy. Now you know,

(14:08):
he takes everything seriously, so he was trying to understand
what the guy was saying. But the guy called up
wanted to know if when the San Francisco Giants, the
baseball team, come to New York, do they get together
with the New York Giants, the football team, Like do
they have a family reunion and they get together, they

(14:31):
have a big dinner and this is a riot? How
seriously he takes the question, the San Francisco Giants come
to New York and do what? I have a game
they play against the Mets, and what do you want
to happen?

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Now? Did the New York Giants ever reach out to him,
either the players or the franchise or football giants?

Speaker 7 (14:52):
What is the connection between the San Francisco Giants and
the Football Giants.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Well, they used to be in New York and they
got the.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
Same name, but they have they have nothing to do
with each other. There's no connection. Then they have different ownership.
There's no connection between the two teams. I mean, there's
no connection in any way between the two teams. They
have no relationship. Do you think because they have Giants
are like brothers or something.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
To watch the video of that pause, his U see
smoke coming out of his ears because he's thinking, he's
trying to He's really trying to rationalize this silly question.

Speaker 12 (15:34):
And there's like a minute of audio before we started it,
so he gives a lot of time to this very clear,
very obvious joke.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
No, he doesn't take it as a joke, no entire time.
That's what's so funny about it. So to set the end,
this story that happened years ago, almost ten years ago.
That happened years ago, but it's so famous that it
gets played all the time, that the San Francisco Giants
came to town and they got together with some of
the New York giants, and they invited Mike Francessa.

Speaker 9 (16:09):
This is him walking in.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
They really do get together.

Speaker 9 (16:19):
Anyway.

Speaker 13 (16:19):
I was just thinking, next year, we should have a picnic,
we should.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Do a relay race giants, giants barbecue.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Just giants barbecue. I don't they need both of them.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
It's Mike Francessa making fun of himself. So we do
finally have a conclusion and they get together.

Speaker 12 (16:35):
Yes, yes, I'm gonna I'm gonna try to get that
video up on the website too, so everyone can go
out and watch it, because it's a very funny little
little snippet they did little skit.

Speaker 9 (16:43):
You should put both up if you can.

Speaker 12 (16:45):
Oh, yeah, I'll put them both up.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
We'll put them both up.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yeah, so they can see the original joke and then
the way it played out. Now the aforementioned Jacqueline Carl
with the eight thirty News Jacquelin Larry.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Good Morning.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
By order of Texas Governor Greig Abbott, civil arrest warrants
have been issued for akers who left the Lone Star
State to deny the Chamber a quorum on Monday. Now
more than fifty Democrats fled to Illinois, New York, and
Massachusetts to prevent the Republicans from advancing redistricting maps aimed
at adding up to five GOP seats ahead of the

(17:16):
twenty twenty six midterms, and candidates running for mayor of
New York City are battling for votes with about for
three months until New Yorkers choose their next leader.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Mayor Eric Adams is now getting the backing of one
hundred faith leaders in the city, Queen's assemblymen and Democrats
or Mom Donnie continues to campaign after spending Monday with
Senator Elizabeth Warren, who endorsed him and also took a
shot at former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
So anybody who thinks New York City should work only
for the billionaires probably should go with Andrew Cuoma.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Cuomo just laid out a plan that would increase the
pay to police officers in an effort to bolster the force.
Republican courtis Sleewa's campaigning in Queens. Mom Donnie continues to
lead over the three other candidates in the polls. I'm
Scattpringle WRD.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
So writing an obituary is both difficult and personal, But
does it need to be when you can't come up
with words to describe your deceased loved one? There's Ai
now to save the day. Another AI story. I don't
think he'll ever stop coming. After Jeff Fargo's mother passed away,
he was understandably emotional, especially when his mom's friends asked

(18:21):
him about an obituary. That's when Fargo fired up chat GPT.
After emptying his soul about his mom for about an hour.
In the PROMPT, AI was able to condense it to
a short passage that summed up her life perfectly for him. Now,
funeral directors are even asking clients if they'd like to
write an obituary for their loved ones or have it

(18:43):
created for them through AI. Would you consider doing this?

Speaker 1 (18:47):
No, absolutely not. First of all, I'm not comfortable with AI.
So that's problem number one. Problem number two is it's
kind to come from your heart for your mom.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Well, it sound like he emptied his soul and AI
sort of summed up. Because if I have to tell you,
if this guy Jeff and I went to his mother's
funeral and he poured his heart out for an hour,
I'd be down the street a McDonald after a while.
I mean, you need to sum this up. So for
some people this could be good. But I get what
you're saying, Like, we're writers, we know how to write.

(19:19):
But a lot of people, especially when they're at their
worst emotional state, this could be an answer. I wonder
if what other people think about this.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, well they can leave a talk back. You go
to seven ten WR on the iHeartRadio app and leave
your answer. But I would hate it. Yeah, they can
have AI call. We've had AI calls. By the way,
I don't know, I know that we've had a couple
of AI calls. Thanks so much, Jacqueline Carl and congratulations
to Richard Schmoll of West Babylon, New York who just

(19:49):
won a pair of tickets to see the Who They
Are at the Prudential Center on August nineteenth, north Well
Health at Jones Beach Theater on August twenty eighth in
Madison Square Garden on August thirtieth. Tickets for all three
shows on sale at ticketmaster dot com. Are there any

(20:09):
benefits at all to having zorin mom Donnie becoming Mayor
of New York? That sounds like a question for a comedian. Well,
luckily we have a great one and a great woor host,
Jimmy Fayla.

Speaker 9 (20:23):
He's up next.

Speaker 14 (20:25):
From the old du dot com traffic center.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Ohdu dot com the only business software you will need.

Speaker 9 (20:31):
I'm Bernie buddy with you.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Woar traffic. If you're heading for Stonybrook University, we do
have a crash right in front.

Speaker 9 (20:39):
Well, thanks for joining us.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
This Sydney Sweeney controversy is incredible. You heard the President
talk about it. He loves the ad now that he
found out that she's a Republican, but I'm sure he
loved the ad before that.

Speaker 9 (20:55):
The sales by the way.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Of American Eagle, as I've mentioned, our way up and
the stock by the way, is also up. I want
to talk about that with Jimmy Fayla, who is the host,
as you know, from nine to midnight on Fox across
America with Jimmy Fayla, also the host of Fox News
Saturday Night with Jimmy Fayalo on the Fox News Channel.
He joins us every Tuesday at this time. And Jimmy,

(21:19):
you know, before I bring on any guest, I google
you real quick. I should have known about this. What
is Monday Mayhem with Jimmy Fayla and Kennedy.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
Oh you know what, she makes me appear on her
podcast that Kennedy does it Fox. Yeah, And they've given
up on any pretension that this is going to be
a dignified conversation with any substant of value whatsoever. So
like there's no target. It's like I literally come on
for twelve minutes and we're just you know, we're just shouting,

(21:52):
you know, insanity into the night sky. You know. The
best way to describe it is for people who spend
a lot of time in New York. You know, you
never see two homeless guys hanging out on the same
corner because their energy canceled each other out. Yes, well,
this is basically the experiment of what if they did
hang out on the same corner. So you got the
one guy you know who's yelling at the parking meter,

(22:14):
the other guys that are packing an argument on a
payphone that doesn't have a phone attached to the wire,
And that's Kennedy and I every Monday.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
She is funny. I used to love her on MTV
and the reports that she did. She's just a funny person.
I can't the two of you together. I can see
why they want to keep you apart because I think
you just dominate all the time because you guys are
so quick and so funny. And I heard you're very
good friends.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
Yeah, we hang out pretty well. Are like my My
family is friends with her family too, like our kids
are of the same age, and they probably belong to
several support groups for having weird parents that we don't
know about. But we're having a good time. Well the
k Train. She's on my TV show this weekend. Her
and Emily Campano are coming by to.

Speaker 9 (23:00):
Oh that's great. Listen.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
I want to talk to you about Zorain Mamdanni for
a second, because I know you're in New Yorker.

Speaker 9 (23:06):
If it used to be a cab driver.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Family of police officers, tell me what family discussions are.
If you talked about zorin Mamdani with your family, how
do they feel about them?

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Well, I will say this coming from a family of cops,
they're obviously not big fans. But this past week has
just been a lot of laughter about hypocrisy. I mean,
the seminal tweet in our family is Mom Donnie's classic.
As you know, we don't need an investigation to tell
us the NYPD is racist and anti queer and a
threat to society. And it's so funny to me that

(23:39):
a guy who's concerned with anti queer goes to Uganda,
which I gotta be honest, Larry doesn't actually have the
longest pride parade in the world. You know, if you
have a gay marriage in Uganda, they don't play Here
comes the broad They play Here comes the cops, and
you'll all go to jail because it's the capital of

(24:00):
so like for my family, as much as we're pro cop,
because they're all cops, it's the insane hypocrisy. And then
he brings out Elizabeth Warren yesterday to talk about you know, yeah,
we're gonna experiment. We're gonna try some things on groceries.
Oh that makes me sound confident that now I'm gonna experiment.
It's gonna be great, which is a fancy way of saying.

(24:22):
They can't make any of these promises happen anyway, And
that's why Warren likes him. He's an Indian giver.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Oh man, uh, you're better than that joke.

Speaker 9 (24:34):
Jimmy, You're better than that.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
I can't take it.

Speaker 9 (24:39):
That was funny. That was good.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Hey, listen, I can't imagine what your police officer brothers
feel about the fact that they Zora Mom. Donnie says
that he wants to send social workers to domestic abuse calls.
They are some of the most violent times that police officers.
That's when a lot of cops get killed. I can't

(25:03):
imagine sending a social worker to that.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
No, you know who, I can't imagine being sent a
social worker. Still did puss charade? Okay, I was talking
about this, Curtsely, what was on my TV show Saturday night. Okay,
everybody knows this. Every defund the police advocate. You know,
even if I'm Donnie, a guy who has twenty four
hour police protection, they know, you know, when the game
is on the line, you want the boys in blue

(25:28):
over the thems with the blue hair, and that's you
know what they were pushing is ah, you don't understand
police showing up increases the likelihood that something goes sideways. Well,
I mean sending somebody with a clipboard and a nose
piercing guarantee the likelihood that something goes sideways. So none
of this is real. That's my biggest concern for the

(25:49):
city and for the people that are leaning towards Mom
Donnie is. I don't doubt that some of this pie
in the sky stuff like giving it all away for free,
sounds wonderful, but number one, it's not sustainable. Number Two,
every second that New York spends in support of a
guy who hates cops demoralizes cops even more. You know,
we've seen the mass accurtus of early retirements. We know

(26:12):
recruiting is way behind because it's a thankless profession now,
and which is it kills me because you and I
both know it's the most necessary, you know profession in
our city. You have to have the cops, There's no
way around it. And you know we need the best
people you know, flocking to this job as they have
for generations. People of high character, people whose families see

(26:37):
the value in the valor in public service, people that
we used to hail as heroes instead of deciding they
were bad. I mean, if you've been following the downward
spiral of liberal police support, you know it started out
with defund the police. By the time it was over,
they wanted to get rid of the dog and paw patrol.
You know, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, no, it is absolutely nuts. And that's what worries
me because you saying it's all pie in the sky.
He can't get these things done, and you're absolutely right
when you talk about economic issues. He can't raise taxes.
He doesn't have the power to do that. He can't
raise a corporate tax or a personal tax that has
to come from the state. But with an NYPD that
he can do some of the things he's talking about.

(27:18):
With the MIPD, he can do. That's why they're the
most scary and that's why they've risen now to the
top issue in the campaign.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
Yeah, and that's what everyone should be focused on, crime
because crime is its own economic issue. Because the reality
is people don't want to spend money in areas where
they don't feel safe. And if New York doesn't have
control of its streets, that's going to have an adverse
effect on tourism, domestic and international, and it's going to
have an adverse effect on the business community because it's

(27:47):
going to make people that much less likely to invest here.
You know, that's the Democrat record right now. If you
looked around the Five boroughs, we have AOC who killed
off all the Amazon jobs because of some upid class
warfare eat the rich mentality, and the only jobs Democrats
have created, sadly are for migrant hookers in AOC's district.

(28:09):
That's that's the only job creation we have. Okay, And
there's the cab driver. I know, I said they're thriving.
I mean, if you want to talk about a golden age,
it's crazy. And I think I've mentioned this, Okay. When
I was a cab driver, you wanted to do JFKs.
JFK's meant you knew a guy to hotel and as
a cab but you'd pull up to the hotel, tip

(28:29):
the concierge, he'd give you a JFK fare. You then wait,
go back, go back to the same hotel, do another
JFK run. We don't do JFK's anymore. My night drivers
do aocs. They find tourism that wants to go looking
for something in a red light district and they head
out to Elmhurst. They had out to Jackson Avenue, and
that's called an AOC run. Like guys are making money

(28:49):
off that. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but
that's that's her contribution to the working class. We went
from a chicken in every pot to a hooker on
every block.

Speaker 9 (29:01):
That's a great bumper sticker.

Speaker 1 (29:02):

Larry, see you later.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
The future of the NYPD is in question. We were
just talking about this with Jimmy Fayla. It's in question
because of Zorin Mom Donnie and his crazy ideas. Do
New Yorkers think he'll be able to keep them safe?

(30:31):
sevent ten wars Beat on the Street with Natalie Migliori,
Zora and Mom. Donnie, a socialist, is the leading candidate
to be mayor in New York City. Have you heard
his policy on policing? Does it scare you? We're gonna
find out if it scares New Yorkers From Natalie Meglioroio

(30:52):
it's her Beat on the Street today, Natalie, Good morning.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Larry Yes with New York City just three months out
from the mayoral and the future of the NYPD right
now is front and center. It comes as former New
York Governor Andrew Cuomo bounced to pump two hundred and
fifty million dollars into the department and wants to hire
five thousand additional police officers, even proposing to allow whi

(31:16):
it's hired officers back on the force so they can
receive their pensions and pay all in an effort to
boost the NYPD. So what do New Yorkers think.

Speaker 15 (31:26):
I'm not sure he's going to do it. I'm just
not sure he's going to do it. He doesn't have
a great track record, but I'm glad he said that.

Speaker 13 (31:32):
I think he's been around for so long that everything
he says he's fallen their fears.

Speaker 9 (31:37):
You know. I just think he just.

Speaker 13 (31:39):
There because he was asked to be there. I don't
think he's hot, he's he really into it.

Speaker 14 (31:44):
Well, Clomo's will crook himself, So no matter what he say,
he'll know my vote. Whatever the way he handled the
COVID situation, These candidates in the I don't like none
of them. Adams, I'll forget him. He's another one.

Speaker 5 (31:59):
Well, it all.

Speaker 8 (31:59):
Comes as queen a queen Queen's assemblymen Zora on Mom
Donnie says he'll get rid of the NYPD Strategic Response Unit,
which was the team on site of last week's mass
shooting at a midtown office building. Mom Donnie has taken
issue with how the group responds to protests.

Speaker 13 (32:21):
What is he going to replace it with? Those guys?
Unnecessary at times, maybe most of the times, you know,
So he's going to have to definitely replace them with
something better, you know, a more urgent.

Speaker 15 (32:31):
He's parking up the wrong tree. That's the wrong way
to go. Maybe he thinks he's going to get votes
that way. But what we really need is more police
on the street.

Speaker 14 (32:39):
That's totally wrong. Why do you need to reduce officers
and things like that for what? So more crime can come? No,
that's that's why I'm not worthing.

Speaker 5 (32:50):
Now.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
Mom Donnie had said he plans to address mental health
with trained professionals rather than involving the police all the time.
This guy says, it's understandable to an extent in many crimes.

Speaker 15 (33:03):
There's a mental health problem in otherwids, the person is
not just a criminal. They are mentally challenged to say.
And I think that that would not be.

Speaker 9 (33:13):
A bad thing for you.

Speaker 8 (33:14):
Does that mean less police officers showing up?

Speaker 15 (33:16):
Then no, Now you've got to have the police.

Speaker 9 (33:18):
We know that that works.

Speaker 8 (33:21):
Now when it comes down to it, Larry, New Yorkers
want a mayor who can get along with the NYPD,
which means mom. Donnie's narrative is concerning to many for
the future of the department.

Speaker 13 (33:34):
He has to ship because he's going to be the
mayor and he is going to be the mayor for
all the police. Remember what happened at du Blasi and
the police officer. That relationship was like not good.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
You know.

Speaker 13 (33:44):
The Blasio tried, but he just couldn't win them over.
They wouldn't budget.

Speaker 8 (33:47):
Do you feel like if a mayor wants to cut
down on police, he's going to have their backing?

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Oh he won't.

Speaker 6 (33:53):
I would say, I don't think they should because he's
cut in their budgets.

Speaker 13 (33:56):
And why would you support somebody that does that.

Speaker 14 (33:58):
That's not fair.

Speaker 8 (34:00):
Yeah, And you know what, Larry, Either way, every New
Yorker I talked to this morning says the more police officers,
the safer they feel, and their main concern is really
a shift in priorities once a candidate gets into office, right,
a candidate will promise one thing, but they really want
to see action. And you know, Mayor Adams wasn't really
part of this conversation this morning. Neither was Republican Curtis Leewah.

(34:25):
A lot of people not necessarily knowing if Curtis Leewah
can get the amount of votes that he'll need to
win the race. So a lot is up in the air.
It's a crowded field, and we'll really have to see
if whoever gets in, if their narrative remains the same,
if they follow the promises they made.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
You know, yeah, we have a long time ago. A
lot's going to happen. It's amazing how an event like
the Park Avenue shooting can change the trajectory of a
campaign like that so quickly, because all of a sudden,
everybody's talking about law and order. Were before they were
talking about affordability. It just there's gonna be more like this.
More things are going to happen like this that change

(35:07):
the trajectory of the campaign that they are all going
to have to respond to.

Speaker 9 (35:11):
But I do find it fascinating.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
You know, you think you know what the voting public wants,
and then you hear from them, and because of your reports,
I find out it's completely different than what I thought.

Speaker 8 (35:25):
Yeah, well, you know, it's just a sample, you know,
I like to get an array of opinions on everybody agrees.
Not everybody is with it, but time in the same tone,
it could go anyway. Let's see who shows up to
vote in three months. Let's see what happens, and the
polls will tell right right.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Well, you said it's just a sampling of opinions. So
are polls. They're samplings of opinions, but unlike a poll,
we get to hear when you do it, We get
to hear from them, and sometimes it's just very surprising,
sometimes surprising in a bad way and other times surprising
in a good way. But that's why I enjoy your
reports so much. Natalie Migliore. By the way, the newly

(36:05):
engaged Natalie Migliore.

Speaker 7 (36:08):
Yay is off to Happy is.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Off tomorrow, but she is going to be back Thursday
morning at eight point fifty. Thanks so much, Natalie, Israel
is taking all the blame for the starvation in Gaza,
But do they deserve it? National Review editor in chief
Rich Lowry doesn't think so. He's up next, and listen
for your chance to win one thousand dollars plus a
round trip ticket to Las Vegas after the nine o'clock
