Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Friday. Made it through the week. It's going to
rain a lot this weekend. It sounds like, I guess
Sunday during the day might be nice, but rain today
might be nice. Just a little bit of rain tonight,
but looking forward to the weekend. I don't mind rainy Saturdays.
I don't mind it at all, because sometimes I just
want to stay inside without an excuse, because everybody I

(00:23):
have such a big family and there's always these family
events and when it's raining, you can go on. I
can't make it.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It's not nice.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I think, like, oh, sorry, I can't do those outside
chores it's raining out, although then it gets stuck doing
you know, house cleaning instead.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I guess, but I don't have that problem.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I'm sorry. Come over and share mine if you'd like.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
No, no, no, no no. In the Big Three, well,
that escalated quickly. The bromance is over between Donald Trump
and Elon Musk, at least it seems that way. They
are engaging in a war of words and threats over
social media.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Elon Musk knows a lot, so to think that he's
now on the outside, and he has a war chest.
He's got more money than anybody. This is something that's
extremely concerning just to insiders within Donald Trump's orbit.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Although from our talkbacks, everybody seems to think that may
be fake. We're going to talk to Rick Klein in
a moment from ABC News about that, and Natalie Migliori
will ask New Yorkers about the feud in her beat
on the Street at eight point fifty this morning. It
is the story of the day. Mayoral candidate zorhim mam Donnie,

(01:30):
a Democratic mayoral candidate, Zorhaim mam Donni, is facing a
lot of criticism today for refusing to acknowledge Israel as
a Jewish state.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Just guesso, no, do you believe in a Jewish state
of Israel? I believe Israel has the right to exist
as a Jewish state, as a state with equal rights.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
He won't. And then the next day he was on
the air with Rosennescado on Fox five and he said
that again he would not acknowledge them as a Jewish state.
This is going to be a big issue going forward.
New York Attorney General Letitia James says the Mayor of
New York is just a stepping stone for Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
All of these issues that we are dealing with in
the City of New York is because of this one
man who basically wants to resurrect himself. And lastly, let
me say that Andrew Cuomo is not interested in serving
as the mayor of the City of New York. He
is only interested in running for the president of these
United States.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
And Harvey Weinstein does a phone interview with who else
was anascato who has become the Barbara Walters of New York.
He does an interview over the phone from prison, and
he talked about why he didn't testify at his own trial.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
I wanted to, and you know, desperately wanted to. And
Arthur he said to me that the jury was you know,
I mean, you know, very you know, feeling strongly that
the jury, you know, understood our case and would be
sympathetic to our case, as after the DA would try

(03:02):
to rid me apart if I took the stand. I'm
not afraid of the day. But this was the best device.
And this is the advice you offeny or don't take
the stand if you don't have to.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Now there are releasing parts of the interview throughout the
morning and throughout the day. Really smart when it comes
to ratings. It keeps the viewers tuned in, but we'll
also play them as they have them again. This is
a Rosanno Scato and Fox five exclusive interview. We'll have
Morig throughout the morning. Protesters prosecutors released alleged healthcare CEO

(03:41):
assassin Luigi Mangioni's manifesto to show his motive.

Speaker 7 (03:46):
Well, this is quite a bombshell if you've been following
this case since the beginning.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
He said he wanted to whack the CEO. He wanted
to generate news headlines. He said he had it coming.
So now we have a motive and former Jet quarterback
Aaron Rodger has found a new job as the Pittsburgh
Steelers starting quarterback. And the most famous Steelers quarterback of
all time, Terry Bradshaw, what does he think of it?

(04:11):
That is just to me as a joke.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
What are you gonna bring him in for one year?
Are you kidding? They?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I mean right, no, man, that guy needs to stay
in California.

Speaker 8 (04:22):
And thank you ju won't bark And.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
To the gods out there, wow, that was harsh. Welcome
to Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers, all, and welcome to New York Recline,
ABC News Washington Bureau Chief. Thanks Rick for being with
us again every Friday. We get to talk about what's
coming on in this week and what happened in the
past week. What do you make of this feud with

(04:49):
a lot of people have between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
A lot of people have have left us talkbacks today,
left us messages. They don't think it's real, they think
it's all manufact.

Speaker 7 (05:01):
Yeah, oh, look, I think there's there's always an element
of showmanship when you're talking about Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Bowl that said they got highly personal fast, and if
you thought this was for show, I think the check
on that might be when when Elon Musk said, Jeffrey
Epstein's files include Donald Trump's name and that's not why
it's released. You know, if that were to be true,

(05:23):
it's an explosive revelation. It's a guest he knows something
that Donald Trump doesn't want anyone to know. And it's
not just the highly personal nature of this there is
there are huge consequences for the bill that is currently
encompassing the entire Trump agenda legislatively is sitting in the
Senate right now waiting for the politics to play out
and beyond that.

Speaker 9 (05:42):
Look, you true of the movement.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
I mean Elon. The other personal thing that Elon said
is he's inn be president of three and a half years.
I'm going to be around as the world's richest man
for forty That's a big threat if you think about it,
and I think it is something that that is is personal.
Even if they even if they kiss and makeup right
now today, there's a lot of damage that's already.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, you know what really fascinating, Rick, what you just
mentioned a moment ago is the big beautiful bill in
the Senate. It seems like Donald Trump, I mean, I'm sorry,
Elon Musk. It seems like Elon Musk has emboldened some
of the conservative senators now to stand up that I
think coward before to Donald Trump, and it's he might

(06:22):
create some real problems for this bill. If you follow
some of these people on social media, they are retweeting
what Musk said and now seemingly coming out in public
and agreeing with him.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (06:35):
I mean, look, we like to talk about people's political sway.
That's a lot of it has to do frankly with
money and influence, and Elon Musk has unlimited fonds virtually.
He also has the biggest megaphone, you know, this side
of Donald Trump in X his social media platform. So
if Elon Musk says, look, if you oppose this bill,

(06:56):
I got your back, that's a huge message of support
for anyone who might be inclined to oppose it. And
by the way, he's on the side of fiscal conservatism here,
you know, MAGA and fiscal conservatives, and Trump wasn't saying
this is a good idea. They look at this and say,
what is all this pork spending? Why are we doing
all these one offs, Why are we doing all these
special things. Why isn't there a Medicaid work requirement that's
going into effect faster? Where are the real savings? Why

(07:17):
are you adding to the deficit? Those are real issues
that they've tapped into. And now Musk saying, hey, I
agree with you, and I he's even saying I could
start my own political party with people who agree with that,
and that that is a threat to Trump. Whoever, whether
you think Trump would have won the election without Elon's
money or not, and is a disagreement on that. The
idea of Musk is another force a quasi independent force

(07:39):
on the outside of MAGA is a huge threat to
Trump and a huge threat to a signature bill.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Donald Trump has ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate
whether former President Joe Biden's administration conspired to cover up
his mental state while in office. I guess my question
to that is what would the criminal charges be.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
It's a great question, and what the practical impact would be.
I mean, they can focus on the use of the autopen.
All presidents in recent years, including Donald Trump, have used
the autopen. It's been upheld as a constitutional use of power.
But I don't know what we would you know, there's
some kind of an intentional cover up, what the actual
net result would be? You know, I think a lot
of people have looked at this as just a distraction strategy,

(08:22):
and you know, if there's a real investigation, obviously it
goes where it goes, and Bondi will will follow the fact.
But given the other stakes of things that are going
on in the country right now looking forward, I can't
imagine that there's going to be a lot of traction
for criminal charges against people. And Biden's in a circle
and again for what what the charge would be. Is
still amustry to me as well.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Right, I understand the house investigation. I get that it's
worth looking into for a house investigation just so maybe
it could never happen again if it truly did happen.
But this is taking to another level. And as you said,
I just don't know where that ends, what the criminal
charges would be, what's coming up on this week?

Speaker 7 (09:00):
Yeah, my colleague Martha Ratis is in Ukraine just as
the tension feed up there, the you know, the talk
of a Russian retaliation should be talking to some people
on the ground, including especially you know, the peace negotiators
as they try to bring things to an inclusion. And
my colleague John Carlo by, don't we just talk to
Donald up this morning? Trump told him that he doesn't.
He doesn't have any interest in uh in having a
conversation with a man as left as mind and idelon Musk.

(09:23):
It's gonna be unpacking all this. It is a weird
and wild a couple of a couple of days it's
been with this and to see this, this big public breakup.
As I said, the future of this large political movement,
this huge political force of MAGA is very much in question.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
This morning, so that interview is going to play on
this week.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
It was just a phone interview, so I don't know
there's much to play. He just picked up the phone
this morning with John Carl called which is which is?
We're just grown to do. We'll never see another president
like this one.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
No, he does give access. The media should love him
for all the access he gives. Ricline, thank you so much,
ABC Washington Bureau. If we'll all be watching this week,
come this weekend on Sunday, thanks so much, Rich Pleasure,
Thank Rick, Sorry so much. Rick. All right, how about
this product? Size Shrinkage is rampant in America. We've done

(10:15):
lots of stories on this and now it has hit
a favorite chain restaurant and customers are not happy. We'll
fill in the details next. Plus tickets to see the
Beach Boys, so stay with us. Wow, the talkbacks have
been great Today, talkbacks have been great. They've been plentiful.
Thank you so much. I love when you're involved with
the show. We're gonna be playing some more throughout the show,

(10:39):
so if you want to get involved, go to the
iHeartRadio app if you haven't downloaded already. By the way,
it's it's wonderful. And you have stations from across the
country and all the podcasts and so you should have
it on your phone and then look for seven to
ten wor and you look for the talkback section and
there's a microphone there. You hit it and then you record.

(11:01):
Also put us on your presets as well, so it's
easy to find every single time you go.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I work in in elementary school district and they do
still pledge allegiance to the flag every morning public school.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
By the way, just a heads up, that's great to know.
How about that one.

Speaker 10 (11:16):
That's good.

Speaker 11 (11:18):
Good morning, Larry Andrea from Long Island. In my school,
we are incredibly patriotic and I'm so proud of that.
The kids to the pledge of allegiance every single day.
We always discuss important historical days. Mean we honor our
veterans monthly with a Veterans Day ceremony, and our kids

(11:38):
are learning Flag Day songs and they will sing those
songs on June fourteenth for all of the parents.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Wow, that's so wonderful. That just warms my heart.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
I wish she gave a shout out to this school.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
I don't think for privacy reasons, that's what I thought
the same thing, and I thought she probably doesn't want
people to know what school that is for privacy lands.
But yeah, that's amazing, that's wonderful. And thank you for
the talk back that called earlier and asked about do
they still talk about D Day in schools. You're the
one that inspired this conversation, and we've learned a lot.

Speaker 12 (12:10):
I was lucky enough to tour the D Day Museum
in New Orleans with my father, a World War Two veteran,
and it was the greatest history lesson I ever had.
I recommend anybody who wants to known about D Day
visit New Orleans and see that museum.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Great idea. Thank you so much. Well, we're getting patriotic today.
It's a good day for it. It's the anniversary of
D Day. So if you notice this, I'm sure you have.
You know. We know it in the supermarket. You go
to the supermarket and you pay the same price for
something and you get less of it.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Shrink Flation, that's it.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Shrinkflation. And I have only suspected it. When I go
out to eat that the portions are a little bit smaller,
especially when you order dessert, which I don't often do,
but did you ever notice that the slices are a
little thinner.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I haven't, but I wouldn't doubt it. I wouldn't doubt
it at all.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
No, it's it's and now apparently it's a big thing
on social media. Everybody's talking about cheese steak factory.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Cheesecake factory.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Cheese steak's right, So it's the Filly and.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Me because they're known for their massive slices of dessert.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yes, it's a cheesecake factory exactly.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Come on, now, they should have a cheese steak factory.
I can't. There's a good idea, idea start it. You
want to all start pulling our money.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Yeah, but the pictures on social media, so I guess
a lot of people do take away desserts when they
go there, probably because after the.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Meal you can't do anything more.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
And they have these containers that are shaped like a
slice of pie, and it usually filled the whole thing
or it's taken.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Almost drowning and in there. And now there's lots of
extra space.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
I'm looking at a picture right now of a slice
of cheesecake looks like a chocolate or a peanut butter cheesecake,
peanut butter yeah, peanut butter cheesecake with some whipped cream
on it. It's like half a slice, so instead of
instead of the normal like eight slices and sixteen rights.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
So apparently people have inquired and have asked them, have
you changed your portion side because on their website the
calorie intake is still the same, So which would make
you think that they haven't.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Right, but they have not answered now.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Jacqueline carl with the eight thirty News, Jacqueline.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Good Morning.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
The beef between President Trump and Elon Musk picked up
steam yesterday. Earlier this week, must call Trump's big spending
bill an abomination. On Thursday, the tech billionaire posted on
x said Trump couldn't have won the twenty twenty four
election without him, and also claimed that Trump is mentioned
in the Epstein files. And Funeral services are today at

(15:03):
Saint Patrick's Cathedral of Manhattan for New York City's former
police Commissioner Bernard Carrick.

Speaker 13 (15:08):
Mayor Eric Adams among the officials on hand saying final
goodbyes to Bernard Carrick. The sixty nine year old died
last week from an unspecified illness. Carrick was in charge
of the NYPD during the nine to eleven terror attacks.
He was later, though, sentenced to four years in prison
for tax fraud and lying to the White House. Carrick
served several years in prison before being partnered by President
Trump in twenty twenty. He grew up in Paterson, New Jersey.

(15:31):
I'm Scott Pringle wr News.

Speaker 8 (15:33):
All Right, Friday at eight thirty, and it's time for
real or fake news headlines?

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Larry, Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (15:38):
I'm already all right.

Speaker 8 (15:40):
Number one, the latest craze in China is pet yeast.
True it is according to Ottity Central and China, young
people are starting to keep jars of activated yeast as
pets because they're easy to care for. These static pets
only need flour and water to stay alive. Some even
name their yeast and share videos of it online, making

(16:01):
it a popular trend on social media.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Is this like a like a sour dough starter? Is
that what we're talking about here? It's yeast?

Speaker 14 (16:09):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (16:09):
No, yeah, I think that's what it is. Because you
think she investigated this, No, I didn't get you. I
didn't delve too deep into that, but I'm going to okay.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Good.

Speaker 8 (16:19):
Number two Canadian judge rules that flipping someone off is a.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
God given right.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
False.

Speaker 8 (16:26):
No, that's real, yeah, corney Business insider in Quebec. The
case came about after a man named Neil Ebstein was
arrested for flipping the bird at his neighbor. During an
argument in twenty twenty one. The judge emphasized that people
can express their feelings this way without facing legal trouble,
calling it a god given right.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
See that's where he went too far. You shouldn't put
God into that argument at all. Flipping somebody off is
not anything to do with God. I think it's a
god given right.

Speaker 13 (16:54):
No, all right.

Speaker 8 (16:56):
Number three tech startup releases smart lunch box that remind
find you to eat your leftovers.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
True.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Nope, that's fake. But that's a great.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Idea because your kids will never want to eat what
you put in there. So if they had a tech
box where it was like, come on, Johnny, it's time
to eat your lunch. Don't forget eat your friend exactly,
that'll be great.

Speaker 10 (17:18):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (17:18):
So Number four a person releases bugs during a North
Carolina County Commission meeting.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Well, just the odds are this has to be true?

Speaker 6 (17:26):
Now?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
True?

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Right?

Speaker 8 (17:27):
According to Wril, it happened during the Mecklenburg County Commission
meeting in North Carolina on Tuesday. The force full infestation
caused a brief disruption in the meeting, but officials didn't
say what kind of bugs were released or why the
person did it. Number five astronomers pick up radio static.
That might be a distant satellite malfunction.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
True.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
No, it's fake.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
That sounds too true.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
I know, but it is fake.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
It's never happened.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Oh my god, can't accept the l can you.

Speaker 7 (18:02):
No.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I think that's the first time I got more wrong
than right.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
That's this I know. And you're pushing back on what's
on facts.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Now devastating now maybe not facts. I'm gonna look that up.
I think it's happened. I think that happened. Congratulations, thanks
so much, Jack Lincarl. Congratulations to Virginia Mason from Kopiac,
New York. I messed that up. What you say it right? Copeg, Copag, Copeg,
thanks you could have written it phonetically for me. Copeg
New York. Who just won a pair of tickets to

(18:31):
see the Beach Boys on July fifth at north Well
Health at Jones Beach Theater. Purchase tickets at Ticketmaster dot
com Next week at A twenty five, you have tickets
to see oh Man, James Taylor at the PNC Arts Center.
I've seen him four times.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I've seen him there, have you?

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Is it a great thing to see him?

Speaker 3 (18:54):
The most beautiful outdoor but there's a covered area.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
You've got the brief little James Taylor going. It's great.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Yeah, he's just wonderful in concert. So that's next week
at A twenty five, Day twenty one of the Sean
Combs trial. And there is so every day, it seems like,
doesn't it. Every day there's a dramatic moment and there's
another one one after another. ABC's Peter Haralambu's was there
and he'll tell us what happened next, and don't forget.

(19:26):
You can leave us a talkback all morning long. Go
to seven ten WR on the iHeartRadio app and click
the microphone and when you're there, put seven to ten
WOOR on your presets. Plus you could win a limited
edition Meant to in the Morning t shirt which will
be awarded each day to our favorite talkback of the morning. Well,
it is the story that everybody is talking about, the

(19:49):
bromance that quickly turned into a brutal social media feud
between the richest man in the world, Elon Musk and
maybe the most powerful man in the world, Donald Trump.
It's what everybody's talking about, so of course it is
the topic of Natalie Migliore's Beat on the Street today.

(20:09):
Good morning, Natalie.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
But before that, we're going to Peter Holler Lumbers.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
That's right. I'm so excited about hearing the Peter.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
No, I'm sorry that we're not excited about Peter.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
I am just as excited about you and what you're
doing right now, and because you are covering the trial
of the well not the trial of the century, but
it's certainly the trial of our times right now, the
p Diddy trial, And every single day, Peter, there seems
to be something else, something new, that is overly dramatic.

(20:42):
That is a moment that we would if it was
any other trial, that would be the moment of the trial.
But it seems to happen in this one every single day.

Speaker 9 (20:50):
Yeah, that's exactly right.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
The double lame me.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
If anything.

Speaker 9 (20:53):
Yesterday we began to hear testimony from the third and
final victim, Jane, someone who was dating Combs's recently his
last year and was lugedly sex trafficked by him. But
that testimony came before a stern warning from the judge.
Apparently Combs has been making faces towards the jury this
entire trial, and for some reason, yesterday the judge had
enough warning Combs that if he continues to make facial

(21:15):
expressions nodding his head towards that jury, that he could
be booted from the courtroom and no longer have the
right to be president of his own trial.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
So I know he was admonished the other day for
looking at the jury and I guess nodding vigorously, and
he was warned that this could be a mistrial, right
if that would continue. What has he been now under wraps?
Has he been more disciplined?

Speaker 9 (21:43):
Apparently he's beginning to be a little bit more disciplined
during this witness. It's a bit hard to see his
face from the courtroom. So one person who we spoke
to to give us a better sense of what Combs
was doing is a sketch artist, Jane Rosenberg, who spends
her entire day with binocular staring at Combs's face, and
she suggested yes things of how things starting after that

(22:05):
warning have gotten better, but she said that basically this
entire trial, he's been pretty insistent on making faces, nodding,
shaking his head, and at times looking at this jury.
Though it's hard to say sometimes though, if he's staring
at the jury, or if he's looking at his own lawyer.
If you look at the land at the courtroom, combs
if he looks immediately to his right, he can look

(22:26):
at his lawyer at the lecture and way they'd be
asking questions. Immediately behind the lawyers would be all the jurors.
So you know, theoretically he might just be looking at
his lawyer, not necessarily a juror.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Are the jurors fixated on P.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
Diddy?

Speaker 1 (22:39):
I mean that that might go two ways. Have they
been looking at him a lot during the trial?

Speaker 9 (22:46):
Not particularly, I mean most of the time their eyes
are either locked on the witnessed or on the prosecutor
or defense attorney. You know, Combskin the day is kind
of fading into the background. To a logist that he
hasn't done anything particularly noticeable. He doesn't speak in core,
he doesn't really do anything that would that would narrate
their attention per se, other than the fact that he's
a celebrity who they're recognized. So, you know, it's interesting

(23:08):
and there's certainly a dynamic there, considering the fact that
if we look back at the questions these jurors were
asked during their vair, a lot of them said that
they are familiar with Cloves, They knew his work. They
came up at a time in New York where Colmes
was basically everywhere, so they certainly know the guy sitting
ten feet from them is, you know, once nearly a
billionaire rep superstar.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
How important was the testimony today? It seems like every
witness seems to be a big witness, even since Cassie.
How important was today yesterday?

Speaker 9 (23:40):
I mean this way, this is interesting because you know,
she's talking about a very recent relationship. She told the
jury in detail about these oliged freak offs, but yesterday's
testimony was more foundational for her. She was talking about
how the relationship again as she talked a little bit
about basically like the good parts of their relationship before
she got into the details about as she really didn't

(24:00):
particularly enjoy participating in these freakoffs. That being said, she
didn't really go into the kind of details of this
juries kind of used to at this point the threats
of violence, anger, coersion. Really, she only suggested that coersion
she was subject to was financial that comes basically mounted
to start paying her rents ten thousand dollars a month,
and if she didn't participate in the freak offs that

(24:22):
the rent payment will not be made. So that's why
she feel pressured to do so. It's different, though, from
someone like Cassie Ventura, who talked about basically the threat
of blackmail violence from Combs if she started participating. That
being said, I'm sure today we're gonna hear a bit
more about what was done in the extensive action taken
to ensure her compliance with these with these sex sessions.
But yesterday's testimonial though, didn't really get on that point

(24:44):
just yet.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yeah, and every single time they have to try to
tie this to the predicate charges, and sometimes it seemed
to have difficult with this, But I guess we'll find
out today if they're able to pull that off. Peter, Well,
you will see.

Speaker 9 (24:58):
So her test money is expected to say quite a while.
She's gonna be on direct examination through Monday. There's a
world in which she doesn't get off the witness stand
until Thursday Friday next week, so we're certainly going to
hear a lot from her, all.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Right, Peter, Haralambus can't wait to talk to you again
about this. You have the trial of the moment, that's
for sure. ABC News investigative reporter of the PDDY trial.
He's been there in the courtroom every single day. Thank
you so much, Peter. I have a great weekend there,
you too, has the billionaire bromance gone buss elon, calls
for impeachment and Trump fires back. How do New Yorkers

(25:32):
feel about this? War's Natalie Miglioi, As I just said
a moment ago, I was going to have the Beat
on the street when we get back. Our iHeartRadio Music
Festival is back. You can win your way into the
concert before you can buy tickets. It all happens September
nineteenth and twentieth at T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas,

(25:52):
two nights on one stage. Listen to win tickets before
you can buy them. Plus listen to this. You'll get airfare, hotel,
and one thousand dollars in cash. Your chance to win
happens at nine am.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Now it's sevent ten wars.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Beat on the Street with Natalie Migliori. Well, it seems
to be what everybody is talking about right now, so
obviously Natalie Migliori is going to talk about the uh
bromance gone bed between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Natalie,
good morning.

Speaker 15 (26:27):
Yeah, good morning, Larry. All I have to say is,
forget Ben Afflack and j Low, never mind Cardi being
offset and who even cares about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
We have a major breakup happening right in front of
our eyes, or at least it appears to be, as
President Trump and Elon Musk take their feud public. So

(26:49):
what do the people think?

Speaker 14 (26:51):
I think it's all a show, basically for some reason,
because he bought the election for Trump.

Speaker 10 (26:57):
So with this that's going on now, is it's like
kind of hard to believe.

Speaker 16 (27:01):
I mean, it's ridiculous, it's a waste of time, but
it was expected. This happens with every one of Trump's advisors.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Utterly predictable.

Speaker 17 (27:11):
There's two narcissists that just cannot coexist.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Two alpha males, bututting heads. Are you shocked?

Speaker 10 (27:16):
Oh, just leave us off the group chat.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
So please, we're in a bit of.

Speaker 15 (27:21):
A divorce, some more surprised than others, as the two
exchange blows on social media. It appears to stem from
the president so called Big Beautiful Bill, the spending bill
that would essentially get rid of consumer tax credits for
electric vehicles. Tesla is must bread and butter.

Speaker 17 (27:41):
I certainly would think that that plays a role. But yeah,
it's the same playbook. It's rich getting richer, so protecting
their own turf.

Speaker 14 (27:49):
Honestly, I've never really been a fan of electric vehicles anyway,
and I don't like the teslas because it's to me,
it's like, what about the people who, let's say, they
can't afford EV. They're more expensive than a regular Vega
that runs on gas.

Speaker 16 (28:04):
I think that anyone who voted for the President should
have expected this. He was not going to support anything
that helped the climate. So I kind of feel like
we got what we signed up for here.

Speaker 15 (28:18):
Well, earlier this week, Musk had called the bill a
disgusting abomination that would plunge the country further into debt.
Nothing to do with EV subsidies. In fact, for years
he had said to get rid of them. But things
took a turn and got personal when Musk took to
act and said President Trump was on the Jeffrey Epstein list,
once again perking up eyes and ears.

Speaker 10 (28:42):
Why are you saying stuff like that? No, you knew
about it. Everybody knew about it. You knew about it too,
So why now why you choose to blast him out?

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Now?

Speaker 10 (28:51):
That doesn't make any sense. But honestly, I really don't
know what to make of it.

Speaker 16 (28:56):
I think it's probably just more surprising that somebody actually
said it, But I'm not surprised he would be on it.
They've been photographed together before, they've vacationed together, so I
think we should all assume.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
It was very likely.

Speaker 18 (29:10):
I guess we'll see if there's any truth to it.
But it's like your best friend knowing your business and
then you get into a fight. It's kind of risky.
They made no things that shouldn't be known, so we
shall see.

Speaker 15 (29:22):
That's the chance you take. And you know, Trump had
publicly distant himself in twenty nineteen, for Menstein had said
he hadn't spoken to him or seen him in about
fifteen years at that point. But now we've got two
very powerful men, Musk and Trump just going at it
on social media. The President told ABC News this morning
that Musk wants to talk to him, but says he's

(29:42):
not interested right now. New Yorker said, they're gonna watch
you play out, even if it's against their will.

Speaker 18 (29:49):
Either way, whether you're looking for it or not, it's
gonna be broadcasted in some way or another.

Speaker 10 (29:54):
So we'll be updated whether we want to or not.

Speaker 16 (29:56):
It's sad that they both own social media sites that
they can like continue this on unfortunately for all of us.

Speaker 10 (30:03):
Try to laugh about it.

Speaker 17 (30:04):
I think they both need each other so they may
put the grievances behind, but it's it won't last the piece.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Every couple breaks up at some point.

Speaker 10 (30:14):
I don't think must have been there in the first place,
and I don't think Tump should have been there in
the first place.

Speaker 18 (30:19):
So good vidance to both of them.

Speaker 15 (30:21):
If it can happen, well, we will see what happens.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Larry, Yeah, one way or the other, this is going
to end, but it very well could end badly. So
that's what the intrigue is. Natalie MGLIORI have a great weekend.
She'll be back Monday morning at eight point fifty. He
is considered New York's greatest baseball writer covering dozens of
