Speaker 1 (00:00):
Has it sunk in yet, the political earthquake a day
after a shocking Democratic primary, that's what leads are Big
Three today, and it's still sinking in that the Democratic
nominee is an admitted socialist and he's now the front
runner to be the next mayor of New York.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
But he is one of the most dangerous people that
I have seen in a very long time. How did
he even get to the point where he even has
a shot? I mean, he's a freaking socialist.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I love this guy. He is former New York Assemblyman
Dove Hike and he will be with us tomorrow. The
FBI is investigating to find the leak of a classified
intelligence breathing on a damage assessment of the strike on
Aron's nuclear facility.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I understand the FBI is investigating who was the source
of that leak because it's an illegal leak to see ann.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
And shot of consequence to the leak or face.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Right, because it hurt national security and that's why it's
an illegal leak. But the information that CNN and New
York Times went with was just plane wrong according to
now US, Israeli and US assessments, but they wanted to
go with it. You know, I because they thought it
would hurt Donald Trump, and there was a lot of
people that hoped it was true because it would hurt
(01:23):
Donald Trump, even though if it was true, it would
hurt the world.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
But that's not a big deal, right, There's no doubt
that it was obliterated. So the reporting out.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
There that that that in some ways suggests that we
did not achieve the achieve the objective is just completely preposterous.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
It is.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
And on the third day of a record setting heat wave,
which was yesterday, there was a crowded Amtrak train on
the way from Baltimore to New York that got stuck
in a tunnel and the heat went off. It was
over one hundred degrees in that train.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
That's insanely hot on hair.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
And I can't imagine that a few people here can last.
Speaker 7 (02:06):
Much longer because it.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Closing arguments begin in the Sean Diddy Coombs trial, and
the jury is expected to have the case by the
end of the day. So what is expected to happen.
Speaker 8 (02:19):
Guilty transportation to engage in prostitution. I think the sex
trafficking counts are going to be difficult, both for Jane
and for Cathy, but especially for Jane, because there's just
so many issues as to her text messages and how
she came off on the stand that she just wanted
to please.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Her lover, and we've been talking about this all morning.
Just horrible luck on a beach in Asbury Park when
a lifeguard falls off the stand, grabs onto an umbrella
and then is impaled by the umbrella.
Speaker 9 (02:51):
It was just a freak thing. As she was putting
it in, caught it, pulled it up, so when she
grabbed it she was off balanced, so and again she
was on the top step of the bench, so she
fell backwards off the bench and the umbrella came with
her when she came down and he just landed on
her arm.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Well, here's the good news.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
The lifeguard is expected to be okay and is said
to be in good spirits by the way that umbrella
went right through her arm. It was sticking out a
full foot on the other side and they had to
cut it. They couldn't remove it. It was too dangerous
to remove it, so they had to cut it just
to get her to the hospital. But again, she is
going to be okay. Now let's get to doctor Arthur Caplan,
(03:30):
Professor of Bioethics at New York University Land Gone Medical Center.
Good morning, doctor, how are you yay?
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Are you so?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
I'm not gonna yell, I'm not gonna curse, I'm not
gonna spit. I'm not going to threatn you because now
I hear that's bad for my health?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Is that right?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Is bad for your health? There is a recent study
much more increase in patience attacking, spitting, yelling, at acting
in impolite, uncivil or just nasty hostilities toward their doctors.
The study just came out and it showed that about
(04:07):
almost eighteen percent of doctors supported in the past year
that they had been through some assaults or attack from
their physician. And this is all over the place. It's
in hospital settings, clinics, some even in private offices. So
the question is first, what do you do about this?
And I think the doctors need some support. You know,
(04:29):
many of them feel pretty traumatized after they get attacked
when they're trying to help somebody, So institutions should be
doing that. More to the point, here's a question for you, Larry.
Do I have to take care of a patient who
threatens my life?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
I know I've obviously not as a matter of fact,
if they threaten your life, you should be reporting them
to the police. Are you allowed to do that? Do
ethics allow you to report a patient they do?
Speaker 5 (04:57):
And you could do it internally to hospital security. You
don't even have to go outside, you know, to the
regular police. So hospitals need to set up protocols about
what to do in the case of really violent, nasty
or even if somebody literally attacks. I think you could
say to that patient, We're done here. I'm not gonna
(05:19):
be able to take care of you. You are you know,
hostile to me and I don't feel comfortable doing it,
and I'm calling security and all of that should be
something that we teach our doctors and young doctors and
nurses about what to do if they're the victims of
this sort of stuff. We shouldn't put up with. It
should be clear and there should be also, I hate
(05:40):
to say it, but posted notices. You know you do X,
Y or Z, you will not get care at this
facility period you're expected to behave by the way. One
weird trigger this comes out of COVID and all the
politics is sometimes doctors are wearing masks or shields. Some
(06:02):
hospitals have policies that you have to do that in
certain units like bone marrow transplant where everybody is really
susceptible to infection or cancer. Word and patients get ticked
off because they read that as you're a Democrat or
you're a liberal, or you're supporting you know whatever. Obviously
it's got nothing at all to do with anything, but
(06:23):
that has become so political that that could trigger that
kind of a reaction.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Well, that can't be the number one reason.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Is it? No? No, no, it's just there on that.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
List of whatever is what is the number one reason?
Speaker 5 (06:35):
I think the number one reason is getting bad news
something that the patient, the person just doesn't want to hear.
It could range from you gotta lose weight, or you're
gonna be in serious trouble all the way over to
I'm sorry, but grandma's not gonna live or your baby's
not gonna live, and people blow up. Now, I think
they part of this. Also, I'll say this, I think
(06:56):
they used to get more spiritual support in the hospital
from chaps or from people you know, in their community.
They knew where to turn when they got bad news.
Even though it's a pretty religious country. A lot of
these people don't have connections to churches or synagogues or
mosques or whatever, and so they kind of just they
(07:18):
don't know what to do with that grief.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, no, I can see that happening. I hope that
they read flag these patients for other doctors, especially if
it's not just a one off. If I can understand
that somebody overreacting, that's not the way they are normally.
But if it happens a couple of times, doctors should know,
and you were right, I agree with you. They should
be able to say I'm not seeing this patient, they're dangerous.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Yep. You can also do things like I'm going to
take care of you, but the security guard is going
to be here. I'm passing you after somebody else because
I can't. But the next person in this facility, you're
gonna have to come under supervision. And that's just how
it is. There's going to be a big, burly student
in the room with us. You know, we're not. We're
(08:04):
going to set up safer conditions. And I absolutely agree
with you. If you can red flag somebody and get
the word out that they're consistently behaving badly, we should. Unfortunately,
as we all know, the system, the healthcare system we
live in, isn't set up that way. If I go
to NYU and some guys there for the fifth time
being an idiot, and that he shows up at Mount
(08:27):
SINAI later n Yu wasn't really talking about outside about that.
We don't have the records between places. We can do
it within an institution, but we're not really set up
to track somebody throughout the whole healthcare world.
Speaker 10 (08:43):
Right.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Getting back to my original point, it's bad for your
health because the one person that you want to be
really nice to doctor, I sure would, because you want
your doctor to put you at the top of the
list for everything.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
You want to go out and defend somebody. You know.
Not that I'm endorsing screaming or yelling anybody, but your
doctor is probably like at the bottom of the list.
Take off.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah, exactly, exactly, Thanks so much. I know we have
other things to talk about. Let's talk about them next week.
Very good, because this was a fascinating topic. Thanks a lot, doctor,
Doctor Arthur Kaplan, professor of bioethics at New York University
land Gone Medical Center. Well, if you're a fan of
the movie Young Frankenstein and who Isn't You're gonna love
(09:33):
the story we have coming up next and your talkbacks
after the break. Well, the competition is hot and heavy
for the Mente in the Morning T shirt. I know,
I know how much you want one. The only way
to win don't show up at the station anymore. The
only way to win one of these is if you
call a and you have Talkback of the morning. You
(09:53):
go to the talkback op talkback app on the iHeartRadio
app and you look for the microphone, you push it,
and then we put you on the air. And that's
how you get in the competition for the talk Back
of the Morning and the illustrious prize of the Mentee
in the Morning T shirt.
Speaker 11 (10:14):
I heard you speaking about themed funerals. There was a
gentleman's in a tragic motorcycle accident. He had it set
up so that he was standing next to his motorcycle
for his funeral. Another woman loved this diner so much
that she literally had her funeral room set up as
a diner and people would come in and sit next
to her at the diner table.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
There's some real strange ones out there. You google it,
you'll find them. Man. Oh wow, well, wait a second,
could you order? Would there be food?
Speaker 12 (10:44):
I guess she wasn't a good conversationalist at the diner table,
not anymore. I don't think I could do that.
Speaker 13 (10:51):
Could you do?
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Crash just said food to die for?
Speaker 12 (10:57):
And having someone standing up?
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Now, No, that one, That one's a little bit weird.
I like the idea of a motorcycle theme. That would
be kind of cool.
Speaker 12 (11:06):
And I don't mind the diner theme, but I don't
need I don't need the deceased as props.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
You don't want a cadaver there sitting with you. I
don't understand. I really don't I like it. Good morning, guys.
Speaker 9 (11:16):
Have you heard anything about Trump's cognitive decline lately?
Speaker 4 (11:21):
Me either. Oh that's a great point. That was a
great point.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Everybody was talking about how much he had cognitive decline
because you know, they said Biden did.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Nobody's saying that anymore.
Speaker 14 (11:35):
Sorry, an idea. Let mom, Donnie win. I hope he
wins in New York. I hope he does everything he
says he's going to try and do, because guess what,
Republicans will be in charge of his country for the
next twelve years.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Thank god, ma'am, Donnie, please.
Speaker 14 (11:53):
Win win, Come on New York, do your thing.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
I have heard so many people say that. And if
you heard the J. C.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Polanco interview the other day, I said the exact same
thing to him, and he said to me, what.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Are you talking about. I live in the Bronx.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I don't want this guy to get in and so, yeah,
it would be horrible for New York. And so for
that reason, I don't want it. But you are absolutely right.
He would be the poster boy of the Democratic Party
and everybody in the country would run off that and
there's no way the Democrats win the midterms if he
(12:33):
gets into office. So there's a part of me deep
down inside that kind of would love to see that happen.
Speaker 15 (12:39):
I received my ment day in the morning T shirt
the other day, so I did the responsible thing and
I headed to the bank and put it my safe
depositive box. But then overnight I was thinking it is
meant to be worn. So I went to the bank,
I took it out. I wore it to the office
and sure enough people were pointing, and the prettiest girl
(13:02):
in the office asked me out for it.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
D lovely, h you're not the first person that's called
with that.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
I've gotten a lot of emails saying exactly the same thing,
And I will just warn you don't wear it out
on the street, because you know, it's like if you
wear any valuable or you show any valuable, people might
do the wrong thing.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
If this time man Donnie gets in.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Trump, could we get a wall between Suffolk and Queen?
Speaker 8 (13:34):
Please?
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Thanks so much for your talkbacks this morning that you
were always great. Hey, is there any fans of Young
Frankenstein here? No, it's yeah, really yep, Oh, Jacqueline, you're
a sane person. Really, you're not a fan of Young Frankenstein.
Speaker 16 (13:55):
Was so funny.
Speaker 5 (13:56):
I'm not.
Speaker 12 (13:58):
That kind of humor has just never been my thing.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
What kind of humor is that? Funny?
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Ones?
Speaker 12 (14:03):
Yeah, I guess so that's what you want to call it.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
It's just like, what part are you having problems with?
Maybe I'm not remembering it.
Speaker 12 (14:10):
It's just too silly, too slapstick too, I don't.
Speaker 17 (14:15):
Know, I haven't seen it.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
Long comedy?
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Would you call that?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
All right, let's play something and you can you can
define this comedy because I define comedy by if I laugh.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Okay, Doctor Frankenstein Frankenstein.
Speaker 15 (14:35):
You're putting me on.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
It's pronounced Frankenstein. Do you also say froed Wick Frederick?
Speaker 18 (14:45):
Well, why isn't it Froedwick fran Constein.
Speaker 10 (14:48):
It isn't.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
It's Frederick Frankenstein. I see you must be igor now
it's pronounced ie Gore. That's pretty.
Speaker 12 (15:00):
It is funny.
Speaker 16 (15:01):
It's just fun of me.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
I've laughed the whole thing. I think it's great. Well,
a lot of people really like it, or it wouldn't
be being made into a series. FX is nearing a
pilot order for a project inspired by mel Brooks's iconic
comedy Young Frankenstein. Variety is confirmed, so we might be
(15:25):
seeing a series, and the plot is under wraps. Nobody's
talking about it, but the title is out. It's called
Very Young Frankenstein.
Speaker 11 (15:33):
I love that.
Speaker 12 (15:34):
But you know what, I'll tell you. My husband thinks
it's hysterical too. And I've always said to myself there's
just something about guy humor with this.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
I don't know what.
Speaker 12 (15:42):
I don't know what it is. It's just it's never
made me want to watch it again.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
No you can't, you don't.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Come on, you laughed, Come on, that is funny, Now
Let's get the news at nine thirty with Jacqueline Carl Jacqueline.
Speaker 17 (15:58):
Very Good Morning. President Trump says Run's nuclear program was
destroyed after US air strikes. Trump stood by his statements Wednesday,
calling it quote a total obliteration. He's been fighting back
following multiple reports claiming early Pentagon intelligence suggested Around's nuclear
program was only set back by months. A New York
City Parks Department is celebrating the start of the pool season.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
The New York City Parks Department kicking things off at
a new huge pool located at the northern end of
Central Park. After years of work, it's one of the
largest public pools in the city, part of the new
one hundred and sixty million dollars Davis Center at the
Harlem Mere, accommodating more than one thousand swimmers. With New
York City Public schools letting out Thursday for summer, lifeguards
(16:42):
will be available to man their posts for outdoor public
pools to open citywide Friday through September seventh. Pool hours
eleven am through seven pm daily. Jennifer POLSONI Woor News.
Speaker 17 (16:53):
And you can find me at that pool in some
crazy bathing cap with rubber flowers all over it.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
I'll be there.
Speaker 17 (17:00):
Wallet Hubs Lissa Best and Worst Places for Fourth of
July Celebrations has just come out, So if you want
to know where it's been Fourth of July, listen up.
They rated the one hundred biggest cities in the country
on eighteen metrics in the categories of celebrations, affordability, attractions
and activities, safety and accessibility, and of course weather. This year,
(17:22):
the best city to celebrate Independence, say, I should have
made myself a drum roll, is Las Vegas. Well, the
worst is Newark, New Jersey. New York came in second,
by the way, on this list, man, Yeah, it's Las Vegas, New.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Saint Paul. Oh. At least we're
in good company, we are. You know we're in there
with Vegas. You're gonna go to Vegas? Yep?
Speaker 17 (17:46):
I've never been to Vegas. What kind of a human
has not been to Vegas?
Speaker 12 (17:53):
Somebody want to send me?
Speaker 17 (17:54):
Yes, you need to go.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
They need to.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Pretty unexpensive for Las Vegas.
Speaker 12 (18:01):
Because they want you to go, you use everything else
there is expensive, right.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Well, well, the betting can, the gambling can be very expensive.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
That's why they want you there.
Speaker 17 (18:09):
I don't ever bet. I sometimes play the slots, but
I just go and tool around.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
That's what I want to do.
Speaker 12 (18:15):
And I want to go to shows.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
We should go.
Speaker 17 (18:17):
Natalie Girls trip Yep, Vegas.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
I want photos.
Speaker 17 (18:23):
No, it happened in Vegas, States in Vegas. Even Natalie
knows that she hasn't been to Vegas.
Speaker 13 (18:28):
Good God, Larry.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Stocks. Oh yeah, let's do that all right.
Speaker 17 (18:35):
So let me just get it a little refresh here
And as the Dow opened, it opened up two hundred
and eight points. S and P opened up twenty four
points in the Nasdaq opened up eighty four points.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Thanks Jacqueline Amazon. Amazon Prime Day isn't just two days anymore,
It's four days. Rich DeMuro, host of w o r's
rich on Tech, joins us next with what to expect
and how to get ready for the best deals.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
It's time for Rich Demureau from rich on Tech.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
He's heard Sunday nights from eight to eleven pm on
WR and don't forget to follow him on at rich
on Tech on Instagram and sign up for his free
newsletter at richontech dot com. Thanks a lot, Rich, thanks
for being here. As always, Hey, I am excited. I
(19:25):
love Amazon Prime Day. Who doesn't. Who doesn't order something
during Amazon Prime Day? And now we get two extra days, Yeah.
Speaker 13 (19:35):
Two extra days. So it started out as one day
ten years ago, now it jumped to two and this
year it is four July eighth through eleventh. Mark your calendars.
This is typically when Amazon and all the brands that
are on Amazon put out their products with their lowest
prices of the year. Typically, you know, this is the
best time to buy stuff, and this year they're promising
(19:58):
even more deals than ever from big brands like Samsung, Levi's, Dyson,
and Keels. They call those Today's big deals. Those are
gonna drop at midnight. And then, of course, if you're
looking for Amazon branded products, we're talking Blink little mini cameras,
ring stuff, fire stuff, euro stuff. Those are all gonna
(20:18):
be at their lowest prices ever on a lot of
that now typically it's the previous year's models, not necessarily
like the latest, but it's still pretty good. Then they're
doing this thing with gas. You can get a dollar
off per gallon during the July fourth weekend at select BP,
Amico and AMPM stations. But here's the deal. Larry My
(20:39):
advice start your shopping now, so put everything into your
car or you're saved later. List that you want to buy,
and then wait for price drop. So even during the
time leading up until Prime Day, a lot of these
prices do drop, and so especially on electronics, gadgets, whatever
you want, put it in your cart now. Amazon dot
com slash Prime Day is a great place to look
(21:02):
for personalized deals. And then if you want to do
price checks, this is a website with a funny name.
It's called Camel Camel Camel. So if you're wondering, is
this really a good deal? Is it not a good deal?
Pop the Amazon url into that website and it will
tell you yes, this is the lowest price ever on
this product, or nah, this product actually went down to
(21:23):
a lower price six months ago.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
I love that. What is that again? Where do you
go for that again?
Speaker 13 (21:28):
Camelcamelcamel dot com. I pretty much don't buy anything on
Amazon on sale without checking that, because here's the thing.
If it's like, oh, Prime Day twenty percent off, you're like,
oh my gosh, I gotta buy this right now, and
then you put it into Camel Camel Camel and it says, oh,
by the way, this has been thirty percent off seventeen
times throughout the year. You're like, oh, never mind, that's
not a it's a good deal, but it keeps going
(21:50):
on sale over and over.
Speaker 12 (21:51):
Right, And you know, Rich, I always wondered, when you
go on Amazon and it'll give you the price and
they'll say it's forty seven percent off, how do I
know they haven't jacked up the price yesterday and it's
forty seven percent off from yesterday's price.
Speaker 13 (22:06):
Yeah, well, that's misleading because it may be forty percent
off the suggested retail price, but the reality is, has
anyone actually ever paid that suggested retail price in many circumstances.
Speaker 11 (22:18):
No.
Speaker 13 (22:18):
But that's the reason I like that price tracker because
they'll tell you the history of the price. And some
products that they sell for one hundred dollars the entire year,
maybe during Prime Day they are on sale for eighty
it's the only time they ever drop twenty percent. So
that's when it's a deal.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Amazon Prime Day or days now must be extremely successful.
Do we have any numbers on how much their sales
go up at this time?
Speaker 13 (22:43):
They never give out numbers on how much sales go up,
but they do tell you how many percentage you know,
like how many people buy, Like it's the biggest year,
the biggest four days, whatever, it is, biggest shopping day
of the year. But they never give like solid solid
numbers on it. But from what I could tell, it
is a very successful day because more and more companies
(23:05):
every year jump on the bandwagon and do offer better deals.
Like I feel like in years past it's been kind
of a dud, but nowadays I do think that it
is a good time to shop.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Hey, July ninth in Brooklyn, Samsung is hosting its big
Unpacked event. I'm sure I should be excited about this,
but I don't know what it is.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
What is that?
Speaker 13 (23:27):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. This is happening July ninth.
It's their new Unpacked event, and this is where Samsung
will unveil their new foldable phones. If you can believe it,
they've been doing foldable since twenty nineteen. They're on their
seventh generation of them. So we've got the Z Flip
seven and the Z Fold seven. Of course they'll be slimmer,
(23:48):
they'll be better, they'll be faster. But you know, Samsung
is not facing a lot of foldable competition here in
the US, of course, because Apple has not launched a
foldable just yet. They're expected to launch one perhaps next year,
but more realistically maybe twenty twenty seven. But in the
world there are a lot of foldable phones from different brands,
(24:10):
especially the Chinese brands like Honor, Huawei, Opo. They've all
got them. So anyway, if you're a foldable fan, July
ninth is the date when Samsung will show off their latest.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Hey, Microsoft is giving Window ten users a lifeline right
free extra year of security updates.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Who qualifies for that?
Speaker 13 (24:30):
Yeah, you wouldn't believe it. This is one of the
most popular questions I get my radio show is what
do I do? We know that Windows ten official support
ends on October fourteenth, twenty twenty five. That deadline is
quickly approaching. Windows of Microsoft of course wants you to
either update or get a new computer if your computer
can't handle Windows eleven. But there is a way to
(24:52):
get security updates for one more year through October twenty
twenty six. There's actually three new options. Microsoft says if
you use the Windows Backup app on your computer, which
means you have to sign into Microsoft sink, some of
your files and settings to the cloud that will kick
off an extra year of software and security. Are just
(25:12):
security updates, no more software updates. Or you can redeem
one thousand Microsoft Rewards points. You might not even know
you have these. If you want to check it out,
go to rewards dot bing dot com. I turned out
I had twenty eight hundred of these things. Or you
can pay thirty dollars. Of course, who wants to pay
when you can get it for free doing the other
two options. But the bottom line here, Larry, is that
(25:35):
because support is officially ending on October fourteenth, twenty twenty five,
that gives hackers an opportunity to try to find exploits
on all these computers still running older software. So if
you're not getting these security updates, you're at risk, and
that's why you should do one of these options. If
you're going to stick with Windows ten for another year.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Thanks so much.
Speaker 1 (25:54):

When we come back, I will have my final thoughts,
a recap of today's show, and the talkback of the morning.
Our iHeartRadio Music Festival is back September nineteenth and twentieth
in Las Vegas, two big nights, one big stage, live
performances by Brian Adams, John Fogerty, Sammy Hagar, Ed Sheeran,
(26:53):
Maroon Five and more. Now's your chance to buy tickets.
Go to AXS dot com get them now before they
sell out.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
Here's Larry and some final thoughts. Well, if you don't like.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
The idea of a socialist from Uganda who has only
been an American for seven years and wants to bankrupt
the city, and you're a Democrat who didn't vote in
the primary, and you're looking for somebody to blame, look
in the mirror. But you can compensate for your egregious
error by making certain you vote in the general election.
(27:28):
If you are a well spoken, scary lunatic who hides
behind a nice smile and makes cool videos, you may
be able to appeal to enough immature, like minded lunatics
to win a Democratic primary. It's much easier to win
in a primary when only thirty percent of forty percent
(27:50):
show up, So we're talking about a small maybe ten
percent of the city showing up. You can win if
you can energize the young to vote, But that same
gang of the young and dumb will not be able
to win a general election by themselves when there's voters
(28:11):
of all ages, of other parties, independence, and a bigger turnout.
Because this is going to be one of the most
exciting general elections in New York in decades because most
of the time the race is over after the Democratic primary,
not this time, and the national attention on this race
(28:32):
is going to be off the charts. It's going to
be immense, and it's going to be intense, you know,
because of the chance of an admitted socialist running America's
biggest city.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
That's a story.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
So it's all on you. You can't sit this one out.
We're all depending on you. I'll remind you again when
we get closer. Coming up next, Mark Simone welcomes Fox
News contributor Joe Kanca and New Wor weeknight host Jimmy Fayla.
(29:04):
Plus listen for the keyword after the ten o'clock news,
Then head to seven to ten wr dot com for
your chance at one thousand dollars Now a recap of
today's show. White House correspond to John Decker thinks that
Donald Trump left the NATO summit as a big winner.
Speaker 18 (29:22):
I think it was a very successful summit for President
Trump because for years, for ten years, he's been pushing
for all of the NATO members to, in his words,
pay their fair share, and that's exactly what he got
in terms of an agreement at the end of the summit.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
ABC News corresponded in Jerusalem. Jordana Miller gave an update
on the extent of the damage done by the US
air strikes in Iran.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
We know from the IAEA, the UNS Atomic watchdog agency,
that some of that material is missing, not all of it,
and other sources will tell us that have told us
that that material is being stockpiled and stored ati Sahan
at Natans at FORDAU, and so that material is now
buried and inaccessible.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Political commentator Laura Kurran believes Zorin Mamdanni found the right
formula for running a successful campaign.
Speaker 16 (30:19):
It was a very good campaign. He was authentic, he
was joyful, he was everywhere every podcast. He wasn't afraid
of hard questions, and I think you know, in the
age of Trump, people are looking for authenticity.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Long time Democratic consultant Hang Shinkoff believes that only one
candidate has a chance of beating Zorin Mamdani, and he'll
need some help.
Speaker 10 (30:47):
Curtis Leewa, if you were a New York Patriot and
he is a New York Patriots, should really drop out
of the race, get find Eric Adams and win the thing,
because he's not gonna win. No one's going to vote
for guy in a red beret. He's a very nice
fella who has some ideas, but it has never managed anything. Consequence,
it's not going to work. You need to give Adams
the opportunity to make his case. And that is just
a fact. Kenny Win. Can Adams win the answers Yes and.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
The talk back of the morning and winner of the
highly covetive MENTI in the Morning T shirt has thoughts
on who Mom, Donnie really is?
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Good morning.
Speaker 7 (31:21):
I don't understand the democratic socialist nonsense. What are we, Hurtzpenske,
what is it? Are we sugar coating it? Just call
it what it is. Run as a socialist if that's
what you want to be. Actually run as a start
a new party, the Communist Party, if you want to
(31:41):
be transparent.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Right, Remember yesterday Vicki Palladino kept interrupting me and correcting
me when I call him a socialist, Larry, call him
a communist, Larry, He's a communist. Congratulations on winning the
MENTI in the Morning, T shirt tomorrow and Menti in
the Morning. We have a packed Friday lineup, CNN's conservative
Scott Jennings, former New York Assemblyman Dove Heikend, Newsmax rob Astorino,
(32:09):
futurist Ken Serrilli, and wor's own Joe Newmyer with the
movie minute plus.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
That's it. Here's the ten o'clock News
