Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, thanks for being with us today. While we're
now an hour away. That tops off the Big three today,
an hour away from the big announcement promised by Donald Trump,
he announced this one. We don't know if this is
the big, big announcement that's going to change everything, or
a new big announcement. We don't know that yet, but

(00:20):
we do know that on truth Social Donald Trump announced
he's gonna make a big announcement this morning at ten o'clock.
It sounds like it's a trade deal. As Trump has
been frustrated with the constant questioning about the media about
when's the first trade deal going to happen? When's the
first trade deal going to happen? I wish that keep

(00:41):
you know, stop asking how many deals are you signing
this week, because one day we'll come and we'll give
you a hundred deals. Yeah, these trade deals don't happen overnight,
and these are just agreements for a deal, which, by
the way, you can change the tariffs just on an agreement.
Everybody's been saying in the media, you know how long
it's going to take. You can't do this overnight. Yeah,

(01:02):
you actually can do it overnight. You're talking about printing
everything out, typing everything out, negotiating every detail. That's not
what has to happen, and they've been pretty clear about that.
But for some reason, the media keeps saying, well, this
can't happen overnight. Yeah, it can happen overnight, and it's
probably gonna happen at ten o'clock today. It's not going

(01:24):
to be one hundred, but sources say it could be
a deal with the United Kingdom and one with India
is close behind, although they're having their problems with Pakistan
right now. The biggest protest at Columbia, we were just
talking about this with Natalie Migliori a second ago, the
biggest one since last spring when we had the huge protests.

(01:46):
They closed down the college basically for a while. One
hundred protesters take over the Butler Library, and this was
happening during finals.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
We saw that they were preparing for something that they
came from different sides of the so it looked like
they had definitely planned it before and orchestrated it before.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Stormed through the entrance, kind of shoving some public safety
officers and ran upstairs into what's like the main reading room.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Now you keep hearing reported dozens of protesters were arrested.
Dozens of protests. I think that low ball is it,
because one correspondent herself that was out there counted seventy
eight taken away by police and arrested. So yeah, dozens
is technically correct, but it it does low ball. Seventy
eight is a lot of people. The conclave, as you know,

(02:37):
is now underway, and now we've seen black smoke three times.
Cardinal Dolan had some final words to New Yorkers as
he entered the doors of the Sistine Chapel to be
taken away from the rest of the world until they
find a new pope. Yesterday, folks, I will be able
to talk to you until you see the white slogan.

(02:58):
I look forward to doing that. I hope it's Cardinal Dowan.
I know, I know you look at me like I'm crazy,
because you know, the chances of him getting it, we're
told are minimal. But they never know. The people that
say they know, they never know, and it's always a
little bit of a surprise. So why not this surprise?
Why not? Why not? Well, wouldn't be Pope Dowan. I

(03:20):
wonder what he choose he gets to choose another.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Name Timothy Dolan would be no.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Longer for US Pope Timmany, Timmony, Timmoy, how about that
or timpany anyway, Cardinal Dowan, I hope it's him. He
entered a cardinal and I hope he stays there as
a pope. Donald Trump is asked about the alleged mortgage
fraud by New York Attorney Letitia James. That was referred,

(03:49):
as you know, to the Justice Department, and it looks
like criminal charges are coming. But he said, unusually for
Donald Trump, I'm not going to comment on that, but
he did want to comment on I can say unrelated
to that, She's a disaster for New York. She's a horrible,
horrible human being. And I think she's a total crook.
There's no question about it. But that's just my opinion.

(04:10):
There you go, there's the Donald Trump we know in
love and there's a new Disneyland in the world.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Excited for the UAE and Abu Dhabi bringing a Disneyland
to a land in the world is I think a
big deal.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
That was Bob Iger. Of course, Disneyland Abu Dhabi and
it's going to be very modern. They said, to be
just like Abu Dhabi itself. And with that, let's bring
in doctor Arthur Caplan, professor of bioethics at New York
University land Going Medical Center. Thanks so much for being here.

(04:47):
As always, doctor Caplan, great to talk to you. This
is a bit of an unusual topic. Usually we talk
about medical issues. But police in Connecticut are launching GPS darts.
They're shooting him at f cars so they can track
the cars. You see an ethical problem here?

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Oh yeah, But before I get to that, I'm just
looking you may hope for Colonel Dolan, but I'm looking
at the betting sites and there's this gigantic betting operation
on who the next Pope will be. And he's in
the field and he isn't even ranked in the top
five here are He's like field, you know, one and

(05:28):
fifty kind of odds fifty to one.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
That makes it a good bet.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Well, you'd make money, at least at the British bedsites.
I think this is hilarious that they have. I mean,
who knows. It's one thing when you're betting horses and
some people study their performance and they're races over time.
This is crazy. It's like, you know, well, I like
this guy's conservative. I think that that gets that'll boost
him up in the odds. Now, I like this guy.

(05:54):
He's from Portugal, and so it's it's really sorry. I
don't mean to be no, no, I'm respectful to the
Church of this important selection. But these betting sites are
just they're hilarious.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
And I saw the figures. There's already been two hundred
million bet on the pope. So yeah, across the world,
and they've been betting on the Pope since the fifteen hundredths.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Did you say two hundred million.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Yeah, it's probably more than that. That was two hundred
million as of yesterday.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
That's true. Wow, Yeah, it was two hundred million as
of yesterday. And I'm gonna bet on. I was looking
for a site yesterday, so I get bet on Cardinal
Dolan because nobody knows, really, nobody knows who it's going
to be. Every year we hear from these alleged pope
experts about what it's going to be, and it's rarely

(06:43):
that person.

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Yeah, no, I agree, I track it. Then I'm interested.
That's clearly. Uh. People say, why would I be interested.
I'm not a Catholic, but I'm keenly interested because that's
a vital moral leader in the world. It's an ethics guy.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
So anyway, second, who did you bet on.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
The guy who was the former secretary to uh Francis
the Pietro.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Oh now, I see Now, I think that the fact
that we've seen black smoke a few times now means
he's not going to get it.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
Uh huh. You think he would have just jumped in
right away?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Being the pulpe expart that I am.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
You know, I'm sorry I'm wasting time here. But the
other interesting aspect of this is I love the idea.
They go into seclusion and they can't really talk. They
just go there to vote and pray, and so you
have to kind of do all your haggling either before
the whole thing starts, which they were doing, but then
it's like lunch becomes really important because that's when you

(07:54):
talk to one another. It's funny.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Here's the thing that gets me about the whole thing.
They have an electronic jammer, so that even if somebody
tries to sneak an electronic device and or grabs one,
it's gonna be jammed. Who don't they trust These are cardinals.
These are supposed to be the holiest of the holy

(08:16):
they have to have a jamphy conclave.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Did you see the Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course there's
a lot of wheeling and dealing amidst these holy men.
Let's put it that way.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Oh absolutely, Hey, you know what. We spent half the
time now talking about the pope betting and jamming the
electronic devices. Let's get to the GPS dart at the place.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
Here's why it's an ethics issue. It's privacy. If they
shoot a dart at your car and then follow you home,
are they invading your privacy? Is your car, so to speak,
a kind of extension of your personal space. They're not.
You haven't been convicted of anything. They're just tracking you around.
But I'm gonna surprise Larry. I like this idea, and

(08:59):
I'll tell you why. Huge numbers of people get injured
and killed every year and police chases so they see
some nut, you know, driving around erradically, or they see
someone fleeing the scene and the cops launch a high
speed pursuit. It's dangerous. I'm not saying, you know, I
understand why they do it, but it's a really dangerous thing.

(09:20):
If you're a pedestrian or you get car crashes. A
number of times people have hit ambulances and things like that. Police,
I mean chasing. So I like the idea of being
able to, particularly in the city, shoot at dart then
track this thing and you don't have to do the
high speed chase putting people at risk. To me, that's

(09:42):
the big advantage.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, No, I actually think it's a great idea. Doctor
Arthur Kaplan, professor of bioethics at New York University, Land
Going Medical Center and papal expert. We really appreciate your
time today, especially with what's going on at the Thanks
so much, Jack, Doctor Roctor Kavlin, thanks again. Lost footage

(10:08):
of Elvis from nineteen fifty six turns up in New York.
Will tell you where and what it is next. So
we have this big contest going from here until eternity,
or as long as I last on this show. It's
the mentee in the morning T shirt. That's what's up

(10:29):
for steak. What's the matter till the T shirts? Right now?
You know what's like a promotion.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Sometimes we just don't have the T shirts.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
These will be so popular sure that there's going to
be a never ending supply of these T shirts, which
will make them I understand, a little bit less valuable
as we flood the market. But if you get them early,
like right now where there's only a few of them
out there, wow you I'll tell you what if for

(10:58):
some reason you want to give years up and why
should you? If you wanted to sell it, Wow, can
you make a lot of money. So let's get through
some of the talkbacks. Thanks so much for calling in,
Thanks so much for being part of the show. Thanks
so much for being part of the contest. I really
appreciate and I love that you want one of these
T shirts. So here we go.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
I can tell you right now, as a parent, I
have had enough of this nonsense at the colleges. This
is not what parents are paying for their children to
go to school for. These kids need to go to school,
pay attention, get an education, and when they graduate with

(11:39):
their useless degree, then they can go out in the
world and decide what they're going to protest.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
That was pretty good. That was pretty good. That's a contender.
That's an absolute contender for talkback of the morning. How
about this person that wanted to respond to Laura Kerrn
saying that those who are illegally and should be deported,
should get due process just like everybody else.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Hi, I just have one thing to say about due
process and what Laura Currn was saying earlier. Why are
we giving due process to the citizens of the world.
Why are we giving due process to foreign citizens? They're
not American citizens? And when she makes the argument that
it's going to turn on its head if somebody, how
would you like it if they took you out of
the country without due process?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Well, I'm a citizen.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Why would they do that to me?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
We're talking about illegal immigrants here? Come on. Yeah, it
was a popular topic. That was really good too. By
the way, that's also an extend that was really good.
The illegals can stay there while they're waiting for trials.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Let's see how she changes her milindn Well.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Laura, that wasn't popular today. That wasn't That wasn't a
popular opinion. Now we have Catholic betting.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I heard that if you're a Catholic you're not allowed
to bet on who the pope is and that you
could be ex community.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
From the church.

Speaker 7 (13:01):
You should actually look into that, guy.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Good Beck, I've never that's not one of the sins
I never heard you can't bet. Now you can bet?

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Say, do I really have to look this up now?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
No, of course you don't. I win twelve years to
Catholic school, Okay, twelve years. I know my Catholic.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Rules just thou shalt not kill.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
And that's that.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
I only went to a Catholic university and it didn't
come up in any of my classes.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
As a matter of fact, no one. I think betting's
encourage for Catholics to tell you the truth and the
Pope for beginners, Yes, exact, what a great book that
would be.

Speaker 8 (13:37):
Can someone explain to me why Hochel's budget allows Leticia
to commit a crime and New Yorkers have to pay
for her mistakes. It just doesn't make sense. But does
anything make sense in New York?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
You know, I'm so glad you brought that up. I
forgot to bring it up earlier. You're absolutely correct, it
is in the new budget. Her legal fees would be
covered in this new budget. Now, let's talk about this
Elvis story, which is really fascinating, and we have to
thank Fox five. They're the ones that found this. There's
a guy over there who is there. He is their

(14:19):
managing editor and his name's Peter Facini, and he thought,
on January eighth of this year, which would have been
Elvis's ninetieth birthday, it would be great to say something
about it in the news. Of course, it's a great story,
and so they went to look for some old footage
and they came across this footage of Elvis, just about

(14:42):
two minutes of Elvis playing the guitar in the movie
that he had never seen before.

Speaker 9 (14:48):
When they were previewing it to audiences, the reaction was
extremely negative. Teenage girls were not happy that.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Elvi I skipped ahead. So anyway, I'll let you hear
that in the second and then it will make sense.
So what happened is that the movie itself was released.
He found out what the movie was. He watched the movie.
It was called Love Me Tender, and Love Me Tender
was one of the great Elvis songs. And so what

(15:18):
they did in the movie they had to reshoot because
they tested the movie and people hated it because Elvis
dies in the movie.

Speaker 10 (15:26):
Oh no.

Speaker 9 (15:27):
When they were previewing it to audiences, the reaction was
extremely negative. Teenage girls were not happy that Elvis spoiler
alert dies at the end of this film.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
So what they decided to do because they thought, oh no,
this movie's gonna be a huge failure. They decided to
reshoot a scene with Elvis as a ghost coming back
to sing love Me Tender to this woman. And that's
all because of Fox five and their managing editor, Peter Fascini.
Nice job, Peter. Now let's get the news at nine

(16:04):
thirty with Jacqueline Carl Jacquelin.

Speaker 10 (16:06):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
President Trump is announcing what he calls quote a full
and comprehensive trade deal with the UK. Trump said on
truth Social earlier today that the US will soon sign
a trade deal with the UK that will cement the
relationship between the two nations for many years to come.
He also said there would be a news conference at
ten am Eastern. Amtrak is insisting a major work plan

(16:28):
for the East River Tunnels will carry on later this morning,
following massive delays and cancelations Wednesday morning.

Speaker 10 (16:35):
Long Island Railroad president Rob Free blamed Amtrak for Wednesday's
train delays and cancelations.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
For maintenance practices by Amtrak.

Speaker 10 (16:42):
But Amtrak's Laura Mason she blames the MTA for delaying
Amtrak's tunnel rehab project.

Speaker 6 (16:48):
We had a.

Speaker 7 (16:48):
Cable fire, which is exactly the type of incident of
why we need to do this East River Tunnel rehabilitation.

Speaker 10 (16:54):
Now, the lub R now asking amtract to rehab the
tunnel at nights and on weekends, but Amtrak says that
would just be expensive in a long term band aid
starting made twenty third, Amtrak still plans to close two
of four tubes more than a year for rehab work,
causing commute disruptions. I'm scappringle wrdw's So.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Here's an interesting story where someone didn't get the money
they really should have gotten. According to lad Bible, that
picture that was on some people may remember it on
your computer two decades ago when you fired up your
computer with Windows XP, the one with the green rolling hill,
the blue sky and the clouds. It's called Bliss and
it was taken by photographer Chuck o'lear. Microsoft saw it

(17:33):
as a stock photo decided to purchase the rights from
o Lear, who had no clue how it was going
to be used. And he's not allowed to say what
he was paid for the picture, but it was reportedly
in the low six figures. Looking back, however, o'lear wishes
he'd considered how huge that picture would become and boosted
that check amount significantly higher. This is why people have

(17:55):
managers and agentsying. So how's it going to be used?
How often can you use it? As it in perpetuity,
because that's how you get your money. Can you imagine
being the person who had that, Like millions of people
looked at that every single day. He could have gotten
so much money for it, but instead he didn't. He
didn't ask any questions, I guess or he didn't they
wouldn't answer them. He didn't know how it was going

(18:17):
to be used, so he sold it for a lot
less money.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
And there are so many stories like this. There are
just so many stories like this about famous photos that
were sold cheap, or famous movies where they didn't get
it to get the deal they should have gotten. Somebody
got rich, just not the people that deserved it.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
All right, we're gonna head over to Wall Street. The
opening bell Dow opening up two hundred and nineteen points,
SNP opens up thirty seven points, and the Nasdaq opens
up one hundred and seventy four points.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Thanks so much, jacq Lin Carl. So why did Andrew
Cuomo say he's going to run as an independent too,
and stay on the Democratic ticket, but then run as
an independent. There's got to be a strategy, right, Well,
who better to answer that question than longtime political consult
in the Hank Shine. He's up next, And also, don't
forget you can still leave us a talk back all

(19:04):
morning long. Go to seven to ten wor on the
iHeartRadio app and click the microphone and when you're there,
put seven to ten WOOR on your presets. Plus, you
could win a limited edition Minty in the Morning highly
exclusive T sheet T shirt which will be awarded each
day to our favorite talkback of the morning. So, Firmer

(19:25):
Governor Andrew Cuomo, who's now running for mayors, is now
saying he's going to run as an independent no matter
what happens in the Democratic primary. Even if he wins
the Democratic primary, he's still running as an independent as well.
So why what is the strategy? Well, who better to
ask than Hank Shine Coff, longtime democratic consultant and political consultant. Hank,

(19:48):
thanks for being here this morning. I appreciate it.

Speaker 7 (19:51):
I'm grateful to be with you.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Help Ball's Well, so what is Andrew Cuomo doing?

Speaker 7 (19:55):
I'm the smart move. Getting an independent line is way
of hedging against people Mike who don't want to vote
for him as a Democrat. Should he win that primary
of June twenty fourth, and then we talk about the fall.
Now he's going to have Curtis Lee on the Republican line,
Eric Adams running on two lines. I think Brad Lander
won't be there likely, but Mondami will be. So it's

(20:18):
a way for him to find a place where people
who don't like Republicans or Democrats or we don't like
Democrats certainly would feel comfortable voting for him.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Does this change the race in any way in your mind?

Speaker 7 (20:31):
Nah, not really. I mean Andrewcomo looks to win. The
looks like he's going to win the Democrat primary, and
the fall maybe who knows. It depends how much money
Adams has or doesn't have, and depends on what the
city feels at the particular time. I mean all politics.
When people try to predict that, they often forget that
two minutes in politics is twenty five years and anything else,

(20:52):
so anything can happen here.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Well, it's interesting to hear you say that now, because
the last couple of times we've had you on we've
had a stronger feeling that you thought this was Mayor Adams,
even though he was lower in the polls. Does that change?

Speaker 7 (21:07):
I think it's about money today. There's historian the Daily
News that notes that big story, you know, that says
that Adams was denied four million dollars by the campaign
finance sport, which I find most fascinating. He wasn't convicted
of a crime, but they've decided that something untoward went on,
which is none of their business, frankly, and I think

(21:28):
it's not fair to him at all. And who are
they to make that decision. They're not at court there,
it's just supposed to be watching what happens and funding
of campaigns, not anything else. So not there. He won't
have four million dollars. He's gonna have to raise the money.
If he has an independent committee for example, that an
independent expenister operation, they can do I would guess five
to six million dollars. He's in the game. He can

(21:51):
he can do very interesting things. But you know, money
makes the world go around, and it makes politics go around.
If he doesn't have any cash, it's going to be
a real problem.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense. You did
have a strong theory though, and now we're going to
have well one duplicate, but you're going to have four
strong personalities and people that can pull some votes running
against each other for mayor after the primary season is over.
And your theory in the past has always been the

(22:20):
black voters will come home to rest and they'll go
for mayor Adams. You don't think that's enough now if
he doesn't have the money.

Speaker 7 (22:28):
And money is going to be the defining argument. I mean, look,
Zohan Mandami will have whatever he needs to come in
from all over the country, from sources we haven't thought about.
I mean, this is a do or die moment for
the anti Israel and the left wing, the left wing
Democratic Social America gang around the country. The effect that
we've taken over Philadelphia is the second party. That they've

(22:51):
removed the Republicans from real power in the city of
Philadelphia as an example of what the DSA slash Working
Families Party people have done. So this is ground zero.
He'll have whatever he needs from whatever sources they can
come in from. So I'm not worried about that for
him and Slee what well, he'll have a share and
I don't think, you know, in a mashup, you can
even count him out. We don't know what's going to

(23:13):
happen in the floor. Well, we do know that Eric
Adams needs to get money, and if he doesn't have money,
it's going to be very difficult for him to compete.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
You know, it's amazing. I'm glad you brought that out
of that, Mom Donnie, because it's amazing what type of
infrastructure he has. We talked to a citizen reporter who
does who goes out and does interviews. He does a
great job. And he was out and saw Mom Donnie
at one of the Tesla protests and he went over

(23:40):
to talk to him and he said, you would not
believe the number of people and they all had different
color vest on that surrounded him. He had pressed people
talking to him, talking to Mom Donnie in his ear.
You had some really big guy come up who was security.
It does seem like it's more than just the money.
He has this structure of people that are around him

(24:02):
that are supporting him all the time.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
This is a real campaign to take over a real
city and to turn it into what the left and
the extreme left believe that city ought to be. They've
had some success with Sorrow's funded money and district attorney's
races around the country, which the public is generally rejected

(24:25):
on the second time around, or even recalled the people.
This is the most serious threat to New York City's
functioning since we're going to win. This is an organized
national effort of people with two agendas break up the
cops and destroy the state of Israel. And anybody who
thinks otherwise is deluding themselves. This is a guy with
no experience. He's been around politics for let's see, he
ran a campaign on lost. He's been in the state

(24:47):
center for what three terms? Excuse me, the state of
somebody for three terms has passed no significant legislation that
would have turn in I of our lives. How dangerous
he is is some of the people need to understand.
And unless they reject him in even if they do,
he'll be back, and the DSA will be back and
they'll raise money all over the country the people around them,
and this has been a well fought through effort. And parenthetically,

(25:11):
I'm the idiot that said six or seven months ago
in the papers that Mondamie would be the one to
watch and that people really should pay much more close attention.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Well, no, you were right, they should pay close attention
to him, because it is frightening for all the reasons
you said. Let's talk about the governor's race for one second.
Does at least Stephanic clear the field and the Republican sign.

Speaker 7 (25:33):
I think that she does not, and I think that
the Republicans will probably try to get her to stay
in her seat, and they'll probably might bet they're smart
to have Bruce Blakeman because Blakeman does not bring the
taint of the of the Trump years in the same
way that Stefanic does. Blakeman wins NASA on Stuffolk County

(25:54):
walking away, and he can probably get his thirty percent
of the York City to make him a very competitive
at least Deefanic can't do that in New York City,
And without that those numbers in New York City, it
is hard to think how a Republican can be and
be elected governor. I think Blakeman is a real shot
if he runs. Why because Kathy Hochel's numbers are terrible
and pulling, but she is not one to be counted

(26:15):
out either. She's tough as nails, very smart, will raise
extraordinary amounts of money. And she's one tough cookie.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
That's fascinating, always fascinating. I love talking to you, Hank.
Sean kav longtime Democratic consultant and political consultant. Hank, thanks
so much for your time this morning.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Thank you having me on. I'm grateful. All the best.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah, how about that? I mean he is always surprising
every single time you talk to him. He makes you think.
I thought that was incredible, especially because I thought Donald
Trump was fully in for a least stephonic and because
of that, he was going to pressure Bruce Blakeman and
Lawler to get out of the race. He doesn't see
it that way. He thinks that Bruce Blake, Bruce Blake

(27:00):
and might end up getting the Democratic nomination. Fascinating. When
we come back, we'll have a recap of today's show
and my final thoughts.

Speaker 10 (27:10):
It's Mente in the Morning on seven ten WR.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Now with some final thoughts, here's Larry Well. I really
hope you watched some of the BBC interview with former
President Joe Biden, who has suddenly emerged from his cocoon
of shame for what he did to the country to
do his first interview since leaving office, and he did

(27:35):
the interview with the BBC. He claims that he planned
all along not to run for president, by the way,
and he alluded to the fact that there wasn't really
anyone else to run except for him. Of course, he
had to, even though he said he wasn't going to.
He had to. He was the only one, he said,

(27:57):
who could beat Donald Trump. It turns out it seems
his mental problems are worse than we thought. He is
now so delusional that he has a real problem with reality.
Let me remind him his poll numbers and approval numbers
and a brain freeze in the debate with Donald Trump

(28:19):
had everything to do with you not running. You shouldn't
have been running in the first place if they didn't
lie about your mental capacity. It had nothing to do
with him being the last great hope. That was all
in what was left of his brain. He was a
stain on the presidency, and he hurt his own party's

(28:42):
chance by not realizing that. Ignoring his embarrassing debate, which
cratered his poll numbers, He said the turning point for
him was when he knew he could comfortably pass the baton,
and that was when he presented the candidacy to quote

(29:04):
a well funded candidate. What an insult that was to
Kamala Harris. He didn't call her a great candidate, even
a good candidate, but well funded. That's what was important.
Joe Biden is nothing but a mean old man, wallowing
in his own spitefulness, in his diminishing mind. He really
thinks he could have win, even though he stumbled through

(29:25):
the interview and lost his train of thought several times
in that interview. And Democrats came out in mass by
the way, in the past twenty four hours to say
they wish Joe Biden would just go away. He's still
hurting them, well, not yet. He's going to be on
the View later today and he's got nothing to worry
about with them because they won't shut up, so he

(29:48):
doesn't really have to say a word. Coming up next,
Mark Simone welcomes economist Stephen Moore and Fox Business journalist
Charles Payin. Plus listen for the keyword after the ten
o'clock news, head to seven to ten wor dot com
for your chance at one thousand dollars. Now a recap
of today's show. Wo Are newsma's host Rob Astarino joined

(30:09):
us Live from the Vatican to talk about the conclave
voting process. As we all wait the white smoke.

Speaker 11 (30:17):
Now they break, they're having lunch, they're meeting there. You know,
they're twisting some arms. I think you don't know who
went in as a favorite and whether or not that
that cardinal kind of reached the ceiling and can't get
any further. So that's what the discussions are. If these
candidates stall, then they go to like, okay, now, who
are the kind of surprise candidates that we could we
could somewhat agree on.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Political commentator and former NASA County executive Laura Karran believes
that due process for illegal immigrants is important and thinks
it's possible if you.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Hire a bunch of judges and you go bang, bang bang,
you just go through them.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
You know, we have put a.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Man on the moon. This is a solvable problem. And
I think it's if this administration finds it, it's easier
just to say, oh, this guy's a gangbang or any
a certain tattoo, therefore he's guilty. That's not due process.
That's one plaintiff making an allegation that has to be proved.
As you know, maybe it is true. The thing is,
for a lot of these folks, we just don't know.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
As you know, we are giving away a limited edition
Menti in the Morning T shirt for the talkback of
the morning, and we have a winner.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
I can tell you right now, as a parent, I
have had enough of this nonsense at the colleges.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
This is not what parents are paying. Thank you for
all your talkbacks. Coming up tomorrow when Menti in the
Morning newsmac's political commentator Rob Astarno live from the Vatican.
Now the news. It's ten o'clock
