Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good luck with the trip to Vegas. If you're winning,
you don't have anybody else to take. I'm available, just
to let you know. But it's wonderful. We've had many
winners from WR, so good luck to you. It's gonna
be beautiful this weekend, so I hope you get out
of and enjoy it. It's gonna beautiful today, and thanks
so much for spending this beautiful morning with us in

(00:22):
the Big Three. Well, the New York Time story claiming
that President Donald Trump is working behind the scenes and
talking with independent candidate Andrew Cuomo about defeating socialist Democrat
candidates or in mom Donnie, who, by the way, Donald
Trump calls a communist, is still dominating the mayor's race,

(00:46):
especially that phone call with Cuomo that he denies.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I don't recall the last time I spoke with him.
I left the message after the attempted assassination. I don't
believe I spoke with him. I believe I left the
message for him.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Now that's a lie, right that everybody can say, that's
a lie if you made a phone call to a
former president who was leading in the polls to be
the next president after an assassination attempt, you would remember
if you talk to him. So the fact that he's

(01:24):
now saying, gee, I think it was right after the
assassination attempt. Well, I don't even know that I leave
a message. Did I talk to him? That is ridiculous.
Now it sounds like they have been talking. It would
make sense that they're talking. It would make sense that
the president wants to know what's going on in the
biggest city in the country and if a communist might

(01:46):
be taking over. Of course he made that phone call,
and of course Andrew Cuomo talked to them. I just
I don't understand some politicians. Sometimes it's just smart. It's
just smart to be honest all the time, because then
you don't have to get caught in a line like
that one. In Harlem, there are now eighty one diagnosed

(02:08):
cases of Legionnaire's disease, twenty three people in the hospital,
three people dead. And this is really important to know
that you can catch it by walking past certain buildings
in Harlem because the germ that causes it is in
the water and there's a mist that comes off.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
The most commonplace for the bacteria to grow is in
cooling towers, which are on top of buildings. These cooling
towers spray miss or droplets, and that miss is outdoors
and can carry bacteria. Right now, the risk to central
Harlem community at large is not limited to any specific building.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
So if you are in Harlem recently and you're not
feeling well, go get checked immediately because this is easy
to beat if you catch it early. By the way,
the disease cannot be spread person to person. Israeli President
Benjamin Netni who says he is pushing forward with plans
to take control of all of Gaza. Now.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
We intend to in order to assure our security, remove
Tramas there, enable the population to be free of Gaza
and to pass it to civilian governance that is not
Tramas and not anyone advocating the destruction to visual.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
So a lot of economic figures are out right now.
So let's get right to Caleb Silver, who is an
ABC News contributor, but he is also editor in chief
of investi Pedia. Thanks so much for joining us, Caleb,
thanks for the time, my pleasure, and good morning to you.
And let me know what these economic figures are. So

(03:42):
let's start with the good.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Yeah, the good is that we're seeing a little bit
of slack in mortgage rates. A thirty or fixed dropping
to six point six percent sounds still like a lot,
and it is a lot, but it is a little
bit of relief, and that may bring some buyers into
the market, may bring some sellers into the market. We
know the housing market has been in depris for a
couple of years now, but there's notion that interest rates
are probably headed lower, probably by the next FED meeting

(04:07):
in September, potentially maybe after that. And also this relaxation
in yields on the tenure treasury, those push mortgage rates down,
and people have been waiting on the sidelines for so long.
Maybe we'll have a late summer real estate rally that
would be nice.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
It's very interesting that you say that that interest rates
may be coming down. That seems to be the predominant
thought right now, that especially with after the FED chairman
said that like they're holding steady and it's a wait
and see. You believe, and I think everybody believes that
they're going to come down. But how much?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah, and probably a baby cut in September, maybe a
quarter point maybe more. I think maybe if the FED
had seen how weak the Labor Department report was last
week for the month of July, and those huge revisions
to May and June. They might have cut rates sooner
because the one thing that they have their eye on
very closely is the labor market, which we thought was
strong but is much weaker than we all perceived it

(05:02):
to be. And we saw that in those steep revisions,
but we're also seeing it in weekly claims which are
edging up, but also more continuing claims for unemployment. That
tells you people been unemployed a long time are continuing
to file those unemployment claims. If this is coming right
out of time where those tariffs are going into place,
so the consumer could get squeezed here right in the
time for the holiday shopping and back to school season.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So you deal with investor pedas, so you deal with
investors all the time. What are they saying, Are they skettish?

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Well, investors are kind of enjoying these record highs and
near record highs with the stock market that just keep
continuing to mount up behind the strength of some of
the biggest companies in the stock market, the big tech
players and Vidia of course, and Microsoft and others that
are making money because they're spending a lot of money
on building out that AI infrastructure, but they're also stacking

(05:51):
profits and that's where the kind of the momentum has
been in the stock market. We've also seen the very
high end do very well, which is a pretty good
representation of what's happening the economy. High end consumers, high
income earners, those who are invested in the stock market,
those who own assets have been doing very well lately.
And the bottom part of the economy, the middle to
lower income workers, are not doing well at all.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
I heard Donald Trump speaking the other day and he
was talking about all the new investment in America. This
is when Apple announced they were going to invest six
hundred billion dollars in new plants across the country to
make most of the iPhones in this country. That's not all.
There's AI in Pittsburgh, AI out West. There's a whole
lot of things going on. It's your job to keep

(06:35):
track of this and to predict what's going to happen.
Is the prediction, Rosie.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Well, it's going to take a long time to turn
the United States economy back into a manufacturing economy. And
the real reason we haven't been is because we could
buy goods overseas for much cheaper increase our profit margins.
That's why companies have been doing so well in the
stock market. You know, he's just been roaring to record highs.
So that's a big change. And creating a manufacturing base

(07:02):
here means paying workers a healthy age, it means building
the infrastructure, and that doesn't happen overnight. So it's a
big experiment. It's going to take a long time. But
you have heard some of the biggest companies in the
world pledging to invest more in the United States, Apple
pledging six hundred billion dollars over the next four years.
Even companies like Taiwan Semiconductor are pledging to invest more
and build more in this country, which could work over time.

(07:24):
It's just going to take time. And the question is
how resilient can the economy, how resilient can households be
in the face of all this change.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Caleb Silver, ABC News contributor also editor in chief of
investi Pedia, Caleb, thanks for your time, have a good weekend.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Well, that was really fascinating. Man. He knows his stuff,
doesn't he. But even Donald Trump says it's going to
take a year at the earliest, two years at the most.
But we're talking about three trillion dollars of investment, not
only from the tariffs, but from the company's move moving
to the country, the manufacturing plants. Many of these plants,

(08:03):
for instance, the AI plan out west that's already being built.
Many of these auto and steel plants are already being built.
But it takes time. And that's why he's saying a
year to two years and then we're going to have
this renaissance in this country. I'm sure he would love
to have that happen before the midterms, but I'm not

(08:23):
sure it's going to happen. I just am amazed that
he came into office, unlike any president in the past,
and looked at the tariffs and said, we have to
fix that, because we can bring a whole lot of
money into this country if we just fix that, and
if we go after these tariffs and we threaten tariffs

(08:46):
on some companies who are building making money in this
country but building the parts and creating jobs in other countries,
we can bring jobs here, and we can bring more
tax dollars in and he can pay down the debt.
So when he passed the big beautiful Bill, he was
already thinking about this, there was going to be an

(09:09):
increase in the deficit, and then a year or two
years would go by and then he'd be able to
pay down the deficit. My prediction is when all this happens,
when he leaves office, and I think this is what
he's trying to do. He just doesn't want to say
it right now, but I think this is what he's
trying to do. He wants that by the time he

(09:30):
leaves office. And a lot of this has to do
with the midterms. You got to keep a Republican majority
for this to happen. But by the time he leaves office,
he wants to brag about a balanced budget. He's all
about legacy. He wants the federal budget balanced, and he
wants to end wars, and he wants to go out

(09:50):
as one of the greatest presidents ever. And that's where
he's headed. It doesn't matter if he wants to do
it for himself or he wants to do it for
the country. Just so he does it. It's really fascinating
where we might be going. Well, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know I eat it too much.
I know fast food is bad for you, but we

(10:13):
still love it. But what is the worst of the worst.
What should you avoid? There's a list of the unhealthiest
fast food chains. Find out if your favorite place is
on it when we share it with you next. And
we've been saying this all morning, but it's so important.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
The final contestants for Talkback of the morning and the
Sea Crane Radio that you win for Talkback of the week.
So you're competing for two different things. Let's start with
a talkback about Curtis sleewand he needs some encouragement right
now because he actually has a chance. The other three
are in disarray.

Speaker 7 (11:56):
Hey Larry, you know, I'm looking at everything and I'm
saying to my I don't care what's going on. I
don't want to sacrifice New York just to put the
final nail in the Democrats call from I don't want
to do that. I'm telling you right now, Curtis has
got to get on the move. He's got to start
telling people who he's going to have in his cabinet.

(12:18):
You know, he's got to surround himself with experience.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Man, come on, Curtis, agree with you one thousand percent
that he has to get some really competent, well known
people around him. And he should have a big news
conference and say these are the people I'm bringing with
me to give people confidence that he can do the job.

Speaker 8 (12:40):
Hey, Larry, here's a fun fact for you.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
The sixties New York city scenes in a complete unknown
was filmed across New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Yeah, that's what we just had. We had John Crowley
on a second ago, who was an executive director of
the Department of Film in New Jersey, and he was
saying the exact same same thing. A whole lot of
movies and TV shows are being made. John Crowley used
to work with never calls but but I used to
work with him. We had him on the air, and
you know, I've been waiting to get a roll in

(13:11):
something and nothing. No, I don't get a call from
John about that.

Speaker 8 (13:15):
I blame Andrew Cuomo from Mandani's great result in the
Democratic primary. Cuomo was such a bad campaigner.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Did was that a phone call or did we just
pick him up yelling across wherever he was yelling, Man,
the phone's right there. Well, he's very very upset. I
don't even get that mad about it. But you were
absolutely correct. If he tried. He thought he was the
heir apparent. He thought he didn't even have to run

(13:51):
in the primaries. This was just going to be handed
to him. It was going to be a coronation. I
will give him credit. Now he's working. Now he's out
there all the time. Now he's on the streets. Now,
he's holding news conferences all the day and you know,
all the time, and his his policies actually sound pretty good.
I just think it's too late for him. I think

(14:11):
after the primary people wrote him off, which is horrible
to say. It's horrible for all of us, especially all Right,
let's get to the worst fast food restaurants in the country.
There there is a list out and it's surprising. It's
it's pretty surprising this new list. Do either of you

(14:32):
eat fast food regularly?

Speaker 6 (14:34):
I enjoy. I don't eat it too much, but because
I know it's not good for me, but I it's
always tall. I always want it.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Yeah, not regularly, but I haven't. So when you go
to have fast food, who do you what do you choose?
What's your favorite? What's your go to?

Speaker 6 (14:51):
I'm a I'm either McDonald's or Taco Bell. Those are
those are my top two.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, they're both on the list. Five Guys they have
the best French fries. Well, you made an excellent choice, Jacqueline,
because five Guys is not on the list. What about
shake Shack either a Shakeshack shak Shack's not on the list.
Because you know they serve avocados.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
That's right, Yes, that makes it healthy.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
That's why they're not on the list. Number one on
the list. Any guesses McDonald's no, no, no, no no.
By the way, this is from the US Food and
Drug Administration going by calories and some other stuff that
are put in the food.

Speaker 9 (15:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Wendy's. That was a shock to me too. So it's
Wendy's is number one, Sonic's number two, Taco Bell's number
three on the list.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
That Taco makes it. You know what, I wonder if
it's if it's the other two or because they serve
ice cream, could be like those are like like I
saw it. I mean McDonald's is too, but like Sonic
is a big ice crea place in the Wendy's the
frosty like. It's interesting.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
It's interesting because on this and what they're talking about.
Taco Bell they have a light up for each one.
They blast their Mountain dew Baja blast a toast the drinks.
That is the best thing on the menu.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
That's not fair.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
You're a little whiny right now, dairy queen. I'll go
right through this real fast. Kentucky Fried Chicken quiz nose
McDonald's number seven, Smash Burger number eight, Little Caesar's number nine,
and Chick fil A that's surprising at number ten and
they say because they're waffle fries. That's the big thing. Now,
let's go to the news with Jacqueline Karl at nine

(16:33):
thirty Jackline, Okay, Larryen.

Speaker 10 (16:35):
The UN is calling for Israel to immediately halt its
planned military takeover of the Gaza Strip. The UN High
Commissioner for Human Rights released a statement today this morning
saying that Israel quote must bring its occupation to an
end as soon as possible. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer
also condemned Israel's plan and said it would only bring
more bloodshed to the Palestinians. And Shakespeare in the Park

(16:58):
returns to Central Park for the first time since twenty
twenty three.

Speaker 11 (17:02):
While undergoing renovations, Shakespeare in the Park traveled across New
York City, but that's no longer needed as the upgraded
Delacort Theater makes its return with the performance of Twelfth Night.
The improved theater, first opened in nineteen sixty two, is
ready to welcome audiences with the new ceremonial entrance air
conditioned ticket booth and more room for wheelchairs. Most of

(17:24):
the upgrades were made backstage, with eighty five million dollars
going into the electrical and lighting systems, a new stage
and dressing rooms.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Natalie Mgliori wour News.

Speaker 10 (17:35):
So I think everybody has those movies that they want
to share with their kids, and here are some movies
that Art of Manliness suggests every millennial father should take
pride in introducing to their kids. I'm going to name
them Real Fast, The Goonies, Karate Kid one and two,
Back to the Future Trilogy, Flight of the Navigator with Sandlot,
The Original Indiana Jones Trilogy, Heavyweights, The Monster Squad, Ghostbusters,

(17:57):
Home Alone, The Princess Bride et Space Camp, and The
Buttercream Gang. Which movies do you do you feel or
did you or would you feel you must show your
kids when you have them or if you had them.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I'll tell you a quick story. I thought it was
a good idea to share with my at the time,
a seventeen year old and twenty year old, to have
them sit down and watch Blazing Saddles, because I said
it was one of the funniest comedies. I remember when
I was a kid. It was the most uncomfortable half hour.

(18:29):
I forgot, wef I did forget. It was a comfortable
half hour. And I finally shut it off and said,
nobody left. Nobody lived for half an hour.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
My parents showed me blazing saddles.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Really, yeah, you know what I'm talking about. It is, oh,
it is.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
It's very it's very uh touchy humor.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
But yes, yes, so no, Now, I don't make any suggestion.
That was my one. And they even rolled their eyes
when I make a suggestion. So I'm bad at this.
What do you think when you have kids someday? What
do you want them to see? What's the movie?

Speaker 6 (19:01):
I don't even know movies. Pis Star Warris, but that's
just because I'm a nerd.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yes, that's a good one. That's a good one though.

Speaker 10 (19:08):
All right, let's head over to Wall Street. The opening
bill DOW is up one hundred and fifty points. S
and P opened up twenty one points, and the NASDAC
opened up seventy one points.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Speaking of movies, thank you so much, Jacqueline Carl. Speaking
of movies, A horror movie is the hottest new movie
hitting theaters this weekend. You heard Johnny Olaczinski say it
was tremendous. So what does Joe Neumeyer think? Does it
live up to the hype? Joe joins us next to
tell us what he thinks. And our iHeartRadio Music Festival

(19:40):
is back September nineteenth and twentieth at T Mobile Arena
in Las Vegas. Two nights, one stage, live performances by
Brian Adams, John Fogerty, Sammy Hagar, Ed Sheeran, Maroon Five,
Mariah Carey and Moore all on one stage. And while
the world is listening on iHeart, you can be there
listen for three chances every weekday to win tickets plus airfare,

(20:05):
hotel and one thousand dollars in cash. Your next chance
to win is at one pm. Always love having Joe
Neumeyer on. He's our w l Lar movie Minute host
also a film journalist from way back, and it's always
interesting to have him on to talk about a movie.
After we had Johnny Olegzinsky on and he does a movie.

(20:27):
He doesn't always do movies, Johnny Johnny Olegsensk, he doesn't
always do movies, but he did one this week and
it's the same movie, Joe that you are talking about
So we have this clash of the critics sometimes during
the week, and I love to hear your review as
compared to his. So I won't even tell you what
he said, But you're talking about a horror movie this week, right?

Speaker 9 (20:50):
Uh? Yeah, Well, there's two films coming out this week,
and obviously you know there's something for audiences and there's
something for you, something for family audiences, and there's something
for maybe just the older audiences. So I suspect Johnny
was talking about weapons, this film that's come out that
has gotten pretty good reviews, kind of shockingly. So if
you ask me, I really didn't like it. I'm giving
it one star. I found it sort of like a

(21:11):
subpar imitation of sort of one of those Jordan Peele
movies like Get Out or US. But I can understand
where some critics might find it kind of fresh. I'll
get it, you know, just a quick little recap. So
it takes place in a town and one morning, seventeen
kids at two seventeen am all get out of their
house and run away from home. They kind of run

(21:32):
down the street in this kind of scary way, almost
looking like airplanes. They put their arms out and that's
I'm not giving anything away. That's in the poster. That's
the whole setup, and the movie unfolds as you try
and find out what happened to these kids? Where did
they go? You know it wasn't you know, as the
poster makes it look like could be aliens like Children
of the Damned or something, who knows what it is.

(21:53):
Without getting anything away, I just found it. I found
it very slow. I found it kind of just dregs on.
I didn't find any of the scares really that scary.
And there's a sort of a nice, little interesting thubplot
that they're kind of going after a teacher a little
bit like was it her fault? Because all the kids
are in one classroom that teachers play about Julia Garner.

(22:15):
You know, she's fine. I didn't think that the movie
really was that scary, though. And Josh Brolin shows up.
I always like Josh Brolin shows up. He shouts at
people a little bit, which is always fun. But I'm
getting it one star. It's got a few creepy moments,
but I really I suspect Johnny probably, like a lot
of critics, I don't liked it a little bit more
than I did, and I think that's I think that's
maybe kind of due to maybe the resurgence in horror

(22:37):
film chic that's going on right now. I think people
are really kind of open to this indie horror stuff
that's going on. Is that what Johnny said?

Speaker 1 (22:44):
It's amazing you two are so consistent. Everything you dislike,
he likes everything he dislikes you like. It's incredible that
we get that difference of opinion. Yeah, he liked it
a lot. He gave it three and a half stars.

Speaker 9 (23:00):
Yeah, I give it one. I mean, obviously, everything different
strokes for different folks. I think that, you know. And also,
I gotta be honest, I'm not I'm interested in horror
films that sort of delve a little deeper, that kind
of find interesting things or at least a new angle
on things, you know. I was just talking to somebody
the other day about like the great horror films of
the eighties, movies like The Fly or The Saying, or
things like that Invasion of the Body, Stanchers, or just
from the late seventies, and those remakes of of of

(23:23):
horror films did something new and something interesting. I find
that the horror resurgence that's going on right now not
that interesting. I find it really sort of it's pared
down and it's and it's bared to the bone, but
it's not that interesting. It doesn't have anything really to say.
And this film doesn't really have anything to say. It's great,
it's great that you want to just make something to
scare people, but it's also just not that scary.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
By the way, is the Exorcist right? Oh?

Speaker 9 (23:48):
Absolutely absolutely, And I think we've talked about before. I've
seen it once. I never can see it again. I saw,
you know, I saw when I was a kid, uh
and and I and it was nominated for Best Pictures.
It was the scary some of all times. I never
need to see the Exorcist again. It's too terrifying.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
It's funny. I saw when I was a kid too,
and I met my neighbors. I've the new neighbors had
moved in. My parents weren't home. I was not going
in the house by myself, and I went next door
and knocked on the door and met my neighbors and
they they let me stay there.

Speaker 9 (24:20):
I was so heads were spinning around. I think it
was yet as long as our heads weren't spinning it
was they were safer than the movie, the other movie
that's out this weekend. I want to throw it out
there too for families because it's it's also not that good.
I'm getting a two stars. It's Freaky or Friday. It's
the sequel to the Freaky Friday remake from two thousand
and three that Jamie Lee curtis. A veteran of horror films.

(24:41):
Jamie licreated as from Halloween and Halloween two, and she
was the scream queen back in the seventies and eighties.
So in two thousand and three, as you recall, she
and Lindsay Lohan did a remake of the Disney film
Freaky Friday, which I actually liked. I thought it was
a fun remake back in two thousand and three.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
This is the.

Speaker 9 (24:57):
Sequel to this over twenty years later, twenty two years later,
and it kind of doubles the stuff that's going on,
all the magic, but it's not that magical of a film.
They switch bodies with Lindsay Lohan's teenage daughter and her friend,
and they kind of have to everyone get back into
the same bodies. It's, you know, half the fun but

(25:17):
double the complications. But I'm giving it two stars because
the two of them, Lohan and Curtis, are really old pros.
They really do great And Lindsay Lohan obviously has had
you know, lots of issues and problems over the last
twenty years or so. But when you she's really good.
She's good in this film, and she's good. She was
good in the original too, and some of the things
that she did in the early aughts, it's just that

(25:38):
obviously her personal life derailed her. But when she's obviously
got a role like this, she can click. So for families,
if you want to go see it, it's really it's
a safe film for families. It's just not that it's
not that good for audiences to really kind of get into.
So two stars for Freaky r Friday. But it's a
remake of a sequel to a remake that was already
made like two or three times before. Well, by the way,

(26:00):
speaking of horror, FID sure go ahead. There was a
there was just there was a crazy thing called Freaky
back in twenty twenty. I just thought of this right now.
That was sort of a twist on Freaky Friday. But
did it with Vince Vaughn as a serial killer and
he and a young girl switch bodies or something like that.
That was I thought that was kind of an interesting,
weird twist on this whole thing and brings everything full
circle to talk about horror films and Freaky Friday.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I've just been wondering when Hollywood's going to come up
with something new. They've been so safe in doing all
of these remakes. I think they're afraid to lose money anymore.
But I can't imagine this is successful. I mean, I
know they get some people because they remember the first
movie to come back, but the box office has been horrible.

Speaker 9 (26:42):
Yeah, no, it has been. I mean it's obviously even
things like Fantastic Four, which started off really high, made
a lot of money, then dropped like sixty or seventy percent.
It's in its second weekend, which is always a sign
that you know, obviously everyone's sort of seeing everything on
its first weekend. But when there's a big drop off
like that, it means word of mouth isn't that good.
And I didn't mind Fantastic Four. I mean, and for
what it is, it's it's okay, it's the best version

(27:03):
of that story of that comic book movie. But yeah,
when when it was a huge drop off, like that
word of mouth is people are walking out after the
first weekend and telling people and think don't go, don't
or people aren't going back again. So there's a huge
drop off, and there's you know, there's gonna be sequels
coming up this this fall. We're gonna see what's going on.
But exactly like, there's nothing original sort of comes out
of Hollywood, and when it does, it doesn't it doesn't

(27:24):
seem to do as well. It's unfortunate. Maybe audiences don't
know quite what it is and Hollywood doesn't quite know
how to make them anymore, you know, how to really
make a fresh sing f One was was interesting, but
it also had lots of different elements that were that
were similar to other movies.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
You know, the best and most interesting stuff now are
the new series on Netflix and on Apple and and
they're the best things that are out there. It's a shame.
I love to go to the movies, but they're not
making it really easy for me to go there. Joe Neumeier,
film journalist and wo R Movie Minute host with us
every Friday at nine thirty nine. Thank you so much, Joe,

(28:02):
Talk to you next week talk to Larie. Thanks when
we come back. My final thoughts, a recap of today's show,
talk Back of the Morning and the Sea Crane talk
Back of the Week. And speaking of Sea Crane, I
just got another one. I love this product so much.
I got my third and as you know, as I've
told you, I'm going to get them for gifts, because
I think everybody should have one of these in their

(28:23):
homes a case of an emergency. The one I got
now is the Sea Crane Wi Fi and it is wonderful.
It has exceptional am reception, especially and I love that
I can get stations all around the world because it
hooks up the Wi Fi and I can walk around
the house and listen to the radio stations on Bluetooth.

(28:45):
I'm getting choked up talking about it. You have a
remote control so you can you can change the stations
from across the room in an emergency. It has the
Noah Weather band with weather alerts and a two meter
hand so you can stay in contact with people around
you to get all of the latest information. It is

(29:08):
amazing in a word, and the quality is incredible. Most importantly,
every home should have one of these for an emergency,
especially yours call ccrane at eight hundred five to two
two eight eight six three. That's eight hundred five two
two eight eight sixty three, or visit them online at
ccrane dot com. That cc r ane dot com. As

(29:33):
we wind up another minty in the morning on WOR,
let's get some final thoughts from Larry. So we have
hit the two hundred day mark of President Trump's presidency,
and most reasonable people, both Republican and Democrats, and yes
there are some reasonable Democrats both acknowledge well the Democrats

(29:55):
but grudgingly so that Donald Trump has been the most
consequentential president since FDR. So we're talking about the most
consequential in almost a decade. Most importantly, he has been
going through his campaign promises like a checklist, starting with
making our southern border the most secure in history. Once again,

(30:18):
the Democrats lied to us when Biden was in office
and said, well, it couldn't be done without several hundred
billion dollars. Trump secured it in just a weekend, without
spending a penny more. And he has deported three hundred
thousand illegal aliens, and two hundred and thirty five thousand

(30:39):
of them have criminal records, including murder, rape and human trafficking.
Inflation is down, household income is up, the GDP is up,
and the tariffs are predicted to bring in three trillion
dollars to deal with the deficit. Thirty eight American prisoners
and hostages have been released from foreign captivity. It's a

(30:59):
long list wars of ended, so much done in so
little time. But we do need to thank the Democrats too.
They have been so weak, so incompetent a party without
a message, that they have become irrelevant in the conversation.
The opposition just doesn't show up. Their weakness has made

(31:21):
it possible for the Republicans to pass legislation and for
Trump to thrive with such a slim majority in Congress.
So thank you Democrats. Please just keep doing what you're doing.
Coming up next, Ken Rizzotto fills in for Mark Simone,

(31:42):
and he'll be talking with journalist at the Hill Caroline
Vakiel and chief Washington correspondent at the New York Post
Steve Nelson. Now a recap of today's show. ABC News Corresponded.
Jim Ryan had the latest on the Texas Democrats feeling
the state and potential federal involvement.

Speaker 12 (32:03):
John Cornyn as Senator US senator has asked the FBI
to get involved to investigate them on grounds that they
may be breaking bribery laws, and, according to Cortant, leads
to Kachh Pateel. The FBI director has not said publicly
what his plan is, but Cornan says that Patel has
agreed to go ahead and launch this investigation.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Political analyst and assistant professor at University of Mount Saint
Vincent J. C. Polanco believes that Donald Trump may be
better off keeping out of the New York City mayoral race.

Speaker 13 (32:36):
There are pockets in the city Larry where Donald Trump
is very popular. His coming in in any way whatsoever
on this mayoral race would have great benefits in some pockets,
but for the majority of the city. If I were
to take a pull, I think COVID nineteen is more.

Speaker 9 (32:53):
Popular than pident.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
You know this. Well, that's unless we take the advice
of w O R and Newsmax's host Rob Astrena, who
may have figured out the key to defeating Zorin mam Donni.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Donald Trump should come out, by the way and say.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
I endure Zoran Mamdanni.

Speaker 9 (33:08):
He's my guy that'll drive the left nuts. Talks about
reverse psychology. That would be great and.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
The talk back of the morning and winner of the
Menti in the Morning t shirt is very unhappy with
Andrew Cuomo.

Speaker 8 (33:23):
I blame Andrew Cuomo for Mondani's great result in the
Democratic primary. Cuomo was such a bad campaigner.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
The sarcasm is sticking this one. Thank you for all
your incredible talkbacks this week. They're always amazing, So without
further ado, was there ever any doubt who would win
the talk back of the week.

Speaker 14 (33:52):
Larry's Big Three starts morning, Chris and the Natalie's never
