Speaker 1 (00:00):
And now let's get to White House correspondent John Decker. John,
I understand, listen. I know there's more important things going on,
but in my opinion, none more important than the fact
that you're going to have a new podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I don't know about that, but thanks. That's right. It
premiered yesterday, available on the iHeart app, available on other
places as well, Apple, Amazon, Pandora, you name it. And
so happy about this. Just fifteen minutes every day, Monday
through Friday, I'll tell you exactly what's happening at the

(00:36):
White House, what you can expect in the day ahead,
wrap up the day that just happened, and you get
it all in fifteen minutes. And you know from our
back and forth that we do every Tuesday and Thursday.
I do not insert my opinions. I just tell you
what's happening. I let you form your own opinions about
what's happening. And I consider myself old school in that way.

(01:00):
You know, you don't get that that often as it
relates to people that cover the White House, they are
often inserting themselves into the story itself.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Larry, Yeah, And it's a great way to just get
the information and the pure information of what's going on,
and very quickly. I'm not sure there's many podcasts out
there like that. I think everybody feels like they have
to take a side just to attract an audience. So
good luck to you. I think it's noble that you're
doing this and that you're staying right down the middle.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Well, thanks a lot. You know, I often am asked
questions as I travel around the country, you know, from
this people that ask me where should I get my news?
You know, I don't like this channel, it's too far right.
I don't like that channel because it's too far left.
Where can I get my news? And you know I
often have difficulty answering that question. Well, here's a place

(01:53):
where in just fifteen minutes you're driving to work, you're
preparing breakfast, you're preparing lunch for your kids, whatever it
is that you're doing in your spare time, you can
get it all very quickly and get caught up without
getting all that opinion thrown at you, all that spin thrown.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Hey hey, hey, hey, hey hey, Well the back off
on the opinion thrown at you thing. That's what I
do for a living.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Now, you do a very good job at it. And
that's not to say that if you want that, you
should get it, and there are places to get that,
and Larry, you're a perfect place to get that every morning.
I'm just simply saying, if you want to know what's
happening at the White House with right away, with no spin,
fifteen minutes, this is the place to do it.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
No, that's great, I'm going to listen to it in
the right home. Fifteen minutes is perfect. That's not a
lot of time and to get informed, so I'll listen
to it in the right home. Is the Epstein thing
dying down yet?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I don't think so. I don't think so, simply because
it's going to take a while for a federal judge
to determine whether or not to adhere to the request
coming from the Justice Department to unseal that grand testimony.
In the meantime, Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, has said

(03:05):
that she's not going to release to the public what
she calls that truckload of documents that she says the
DOJ has concerning the criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. Today,
the President will meet with his counterpart from the Philippines,
President Ferdinand Marcos Junior in the White House. I'll be

(03:26):
in the Oval Office, and I am certain Larry, there's
going to be a question or two regarding Jeffrey Epstein's
so that will certainly keep that story front and center
for some people that are following that story very closely.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Oh, you're going to be in the Oval office. This
is fun. I love when you're going to be part
of the pool and get in because you get we
get I know you do. We get to hear what
question you have prepared so we can listen to you
deliver it. What's your question today?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Well, you know, look, this is an opportunity to ask
a few questions to the president. There are a lot
of issues. Just ten days remain until those tariffs that
the President has promised goes into effect. We'll see if
the President makes an announcement today regarding a trade deal
with the Philippines. That certainly is his front and center.

(04:15):
I want to hear from President Marcus about the threat
that China poses to his country and to the entire
region in the South China. See and you know, the President,
as you know, just got what he wanted, which was
passage in both the House and the Senate of that
Recisions bill, and so to me, I'd love to know,

(04:36):
you know, with six now that the first six months
are done, that focus on executive orders. One hundred and
seventy signed by President Trump in his first six months.
That's a record, by the way, if he'll focus on
the second half of the year, now that he has
complete control of Congress, even with that very narrow majority,
it he'll focus on legislation, you know, making his legacy

(04:57):
permanent rather than these executs voters, which can simply be
undone by the next president.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
That's a great question. Let me let me tell you
one question that you could ask him. Where he's going
to love you forever? Because it seems like this Tulsi
Gabbard investigation is not getting as much media as I'm
sure the administration thinks it should. And it's it's a
big it's it's a stunning investigation if at all true,

(05:24):
and that is that the Obama administration, she claims members
of the Bamba administration just made up, as part of
a coup, all the stuff about the Russian collusion and
went with it despite being told by the intelligence community
that it wasn't true, that went forward with it, and

(05:44):
she has referred to the Justice Department charges of conspiracy
and treason, and it's really not getting as much. It
doesn't get the Epstein coverage, and it seems like it's
a much bigger story. I would hope that comes up today.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, that's a great point that you make, and you know,
to me, out of that story, what is unknown is
with this criminal referral that she's made to the Department
of Justice, which individuals are targeted under this criminal referral.
We don't know that, and I'd like to know that information.
I'd like to know which Obama administration officials she is

(06:25):
referring to the Department of Justice for the possibility of
criminal charges being brought against them. You raise a very
good point, Larry, of that Tulsi Gabbard unsealed or released
or declassified information Friday of last week. But that story
really hasn't popped up, you know, to being a top

(06:45):
story since she did that on Friday, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Sure they're frustrated by that. Hey, listen, I want to
listen to your podcast, as I said on the ride home,
and I'm sure a lot of people out there would
like to hear it now too. But we didn't get
the name of it. What's the name of your podcast?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Very important, that's right. It's called The White House Briefing
with John Decker. Very simple, easy to find on all
the apps that you know that you use every day
in terms of finding podcasts. And I appreciate you, Larry,
promoting it, and I think that you'll enjoy it too.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, I'm going to listen today, I promise you. Thanks
a lot, John, good talking to you. John Decker, wo R.
