Speaker 1 (00:00):
But Michael Sapracona has been standing by Michael this. Thank
you for joining us. He ran for US centered as
you know, New York retired NYPD first grade detective and
security expert. Michael. This security note was leaked out to
CNN and they were the only ones that have it.
Everybody's reporting about what the suicide note says that they have.

(00:27):
I'm sure the NYPD didn't want this out at this point,
did they.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Hi, Larry Well, No, I'm sure they didn't either. But
sometimes those things tend to get out. Sometimes you have
overzealous police officers trying to think they're helping and they're not,
or some reporter who got some information. But you know,
this investigation will come out and show what this is.
I mean, yesterday everybody was yelling terrorism, terrorism, and a
detective and investigator's job is to look at everything openly

(00:56):
and sort out what this might be. Was it terrorism,
was it an act of domestic violence? Was it a
workplace violence? Was it a suicide? So these are all
the things the PD and other local and federal law
enforcements are working on right now. So CNN did announce
to come out with this suicide note that says it's
the perpetrator, Sean Tamara had CTE and that he was

(01:20):
looking to hurt the NFL. I mean one person was
wounded from the NFL for We have a preliminary reports reports,
but you know, you have to look at the whole
situation here. You know, you had an off duty police
officer and what we call the pay detail. And I'm
sure you're familiar with that. Having an office building in
Midtown Manhattan, a lot of times we have paid offices,

(01:42):
a paid detail that goes and supplement security. Most of
the security and most of these buildings are retired law
enforcement who work in playing closed capacity in a security uniform.
So it brings to my attention, why did that building
also have a pay detail? So that's sometimes raises the
possibility of a threat. Maybe there was a threat. We

(02:04):
don't know if that paid detail was there forever meaning
years and years, or is this something that just came
out within the last few weeks or days or months,
because there might have been a threat to the NFL
office to Blackstone to Routing. Rugan has a pretty secure
buildings usually and they have a good security staff, all
retired police offices, detectives and supervisors so that's interesting to see.

(02:28):
But what I want to talk about a little bit, Larry,
if you don't want us a great investigations that the
NYPD does, This is a terrible situation no matter where
it is, but then it happened in New York City.
It's kind of to the advantage the NYPD and local
law enforcement and federal enforcement does such a great job
to build this investigation and build this case. And if

(02:51):
japp to understand, when the detective works on a case,
his goal is to solve that case and to hand
over the prosecutor the best possible case to put this
person away for the rest of their lives. So that
is being worked on by many, many detectives and other
law enforcement agencies to try to find out what happened.
Why if he had some mental history in Vegas, why

(03:13):
was he given a carriers permit a concealed weapons permit.
They already know that he started in Vegas and stopped
in Nebraska, stopped in Oklahoma, stopped in Jersey, so they're
already putting this together, this timeline and how brazing this
person was to park right on the middle of Park
Avenue and just leave his car there. So right away.

(03:34):
And people questioned last night, why were they checking the car. Well,
sometimes when you have a situation like this, those cars
are rigged. They're rigged with bombs. You know, there were
other ways to hurt people and.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Hurt law enjucements.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Apparently they found things in that car that will lead
to evidence of what happened here. They found that armed,
a loaded weapon, They found some rounds, They found a
rifle case which probably this weapon was in at some point.
But look at the the confidence this person, and that's
not the right word, but the way this person walks
through that plaza with that, with that car or gun uncovered,

(04:09):
that in itself is amazing And people were saying, well,
why didn't someone stop him?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, Michael, it's in New York City. Yeah, he knew
exactly what he wanted to do. Thank you so much,
Michael Saffracon, retired NYPD First Class Detective and security Expert.
Thanks a lot, Michael,
