Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's get to Rob Astorino, host of Rob Astorino Show
on w o R S Saturday from four to five
and host of Saturday Agenda one to three on Newsmax.
He is also the former Westchester County executive. And I
need you to help me with something, Rob, Good morning to.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
You, But good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
I was I was talking about Zorin Mamdani a second ago,
and the guy, you know, when he's getting some pushback
about apparently being an anti Semite because he agrees with
River to the Sea, and he cries and he's cried
now a couple of times, like really broke down crying
about the death threats he's getting. And I think that

(00:39):
disqualifies him. Look at I I feel bad for him.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I know we got him most What disqualifies that he
cried or that he from the sea.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Both, But what about the fact that he broke down
when he I mean, look, politicians get death threats all
the time. You know what they do. They don't talk
about them, and what do they do. They suck it
up and they put on a brave face. This guy,
I don't know whether he's doing it on purpose to
get sympathy, but if it's an emotional breakdown. Then I

(01:10):
think you can't vote for him.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
What do you think, Uh, well, I think there's a
lot of reasons why you can't vote for him. Crying
would be one hundred, because number one would be he's
a lunatic. Number two, he's crazy. Number three he's insane,
and then we can get it to the policies of
why we shouldn't vote for him. But he you know, look,

(01:32):
the guy, as I said, caught fire at the right time.
You can tell. I mean Cuomo is unloading on this guy.
Everybody is, and that means in their internal polling they
see this guy is moving in the right direction. I
don't know how you poll correctly with this ranked choice voting,

(01:53):
because look, you call somebody up on the phone, right,
normally you got maybe two three minutes with him before
they start losing interest. I mean, if you can get
them for ten minutes, okay, But okay, so who if
the vote was today, who would you vote for? So
they say somebody? Okay, Now, if your person lost and
then you voted, who would be your number two by

(02:14):
the time you get to three, four, five, And then
this person's like, yeah, whatever, that's perfect right, As they're
vacuuming or making dinner. So I don't know how trustworthy
these polls are with rank choice voting, but I do
know that they are unloading on this guy because they
know this guy can win. I mean, look at the
money Cuomo is putting in on this guy. You don't

(02:36):
do that if if it's not a threat, you don't
even pay attention. So they all are, and that means
this guy can win.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, let me play for you what he said on
the Tim Miller podcast, and you tell me if this
is disqualifying. By the way, this is why he's crying
because of the pushback on this wit. You're uncomfortable, like
the phrase globe I said to find out from the
river to the sea. Does that make you uncomfortable?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I know people for whom those things mean very different
things to me. Ultimately, what I hear in so many
is a desperate desire for equality and equal rights.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, I mean that's all bs. He knows that what
he's trying to do is to pease any potential Jewish
voter who might vote for him. Who, by the way,
if there is a Jewish voter who will vote for him,
that said, Jewish voter needs a psychiatrist. That's what he

(03:34):
was told to say. I'm sure they weren't over this
a million times. What would you say, you know, internally,
what would you say, because you're going to get after it.
There's a lot of Jewish reporters in New York, there's
a lot of Jewish voters in New York. So you're
going to get after it. And that's what he came
up with. Now, whether the crying was manufactured, I haven't
seen the video or not, I don't know. But maybe
they said, hey, add a little tears and maybe we

(03:56):
can get out of this without too much harm.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I don't the tears I don't think as a plus.
If that was acting, if he did it on purpose,
I'm not sure that is a plus. I think that
a lot of people, even people that were supporting him,
might go, Wow, he's a little emotionally unstable. If he
can't take this fight. I thought that was the bell
and end. All all the things you had mentioned, they
seem to be pluses for people. And that's why when

(04:21):
I saw this, I think people a lot of people
may have taken a step back.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, but that might be a plus. For some people too, like,
oh he's so human. Oh he's not Cuomo, that's for.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Sure, or any other human being that runs for office.
When was the last time? Look at there are more
death threats right now in Washington, DC than at any
time in our history. And do you see anybody crying. No,
there's no crying in baseball, and there's no crying in politics.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
That's yeah. I every time I go to off CNN,
I had about ten death threats right there?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
You go? There you go? Did you cry?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Just one out?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Let's talk about this decision that Donald Trump has to make,
because I can't imagine being in that position, because I
know that he has tried to avoid war and tried
putting the men in the theater, and I know he
doesn't want to do this, but now he's put it
off for two weeks. What do you think of that decision?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Well, I'm wondering if it is two weeks, you know,
just like sixty days, maybe in Iran's thought, Okay, we've
got two weeks to figure this out. Maybe we can
try to move back. I don't know what I love
is that he said, oh, of course we know where
the Ayahtola is. We could we could basically send the
missile hit him on the head whenever we want, and

(05:41):
psychologically that's got to be screwing with them so badly,
which is great. But I'm wondering if it is two
weeks or if it's okay on day seven, go do it.
They're not suspecting anything. We'll just take them all out.
That's kind of what I'm thinking. Why would you say
two weeks? I mean, it's a it's to me, it's
a maybe it's just a cover.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, But why did he say sixty days? And he
actually did wait the full seth because at.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
That point he really did want negotiations and Iran kept
blowing them off. I mean, what goodwill has Iran shown
since nineteen seventy nine. Nothing? You know, they're jerking everybody around.
They desperately want that bomb. And the Shias, which is Iranians,
they believe that it's their destiny to basically rule everything,

(06:31):
including over the Sheites, which are Iraqis, so that's you know,
in their head, you know, dying for Allah is a
good thing.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Well, that'd be amazing if you're right on this. So
I'm looking forward to talking to you in two weeks
because if he's just doing this to give.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Unless this is gonna be like TikTok, you got another
two weeks, another ninety days.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I know he doesn't want to do this. You can
almost tell to do this, but uh he may be
forced to.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Well internally, you got the maga you know, left to
right pull and maga right now too. Don't and do
you know it's like the animal House, the Angel and
Tamble on top of Belushie, do it?

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Don't do it right now Chucker and Bannon or the
Angel and the point. Well, thanks a lot. Rob Astorino,
host of The Rob Astorino Show on w o R
Saturday is from four to five, host of Saturday Agenda
one to three on Newsmax, and former Westchester County executive.
Always great to talk to you.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
