Speaker 1 (00:00):
We'll find out what Rob thought about the Epstein files
in just a moment. I'm sure he has a theory
on it as well. My theory is that the Epstein
files really weren't there when they went to find them.
I mean, the files were there, There were files there.
There was nothing in there that would incriminate anyone who
went to Epstein Island or was a client of Jeffrey Epstein.

(00:21):
And I'm not talking about the clients he worked with
when he was a money manager, but the clients he
worked with when he was a pimp. I believe that
that list went away under the Biden administration, and when
they went to find it, it just wasn't there. What
do you think, Rob?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
You know, look, I think there's probably a lot of
people on there, right, a lot of different names that
are on there that had nothing to do with anything bad.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Right, they might have been on a manifest or whatever.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Should those names be protected? I think so.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I mean, let's just say, for I met this guy once,
Let's say, right, I had nothing that was never.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
On the stupid island nothing, and my name is on
that list.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Don't you think that my name will be completely blackened?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I mean, just like run through the ringer, and that'll
be horrible and.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
My reputation would be destroyed, probably for the wrong reasons.
So that's the one thing I can see about withholding it.
But honestly, I think that the Trump administration screwed up
a little bit here because you can't go out and say,
we got the list.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
It's right in front of me, and then all of
a sudden, oh, there is no such a list. Well,
something doesn't square off here.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
There either is a list that needs to come out,
or they need to explain why it's not coming out,
or they need to release everything they got.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, you know why. That doesn't make sense to me.
It doesn't make sense to me because they were so
adamant about releasing this list, and they promised it over
and over again, and you know, he doesn't like to
be embarrassed like this, and so I don't I believe
there was something there and that there was a list
to be to put out. And I'm and your theory
is that all of a sudden they decided not to

(02:10):
put it out. I I just don't. That doesn't square
with me. I think it really wasn't there when they
went to get it, And well, why would it.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Why would she say?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I mean, that's they should say, look, we we thought
there was a list, or where the hell is the list?
Did Biden destroyed or you know, to protect the Clintons
or why would she What doesn't make.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Sense is Pam BONDI sat there and said, yeah, well
we got this list. It's right there. I'm going to
go through it. I have it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Well she actually didn't say the list. She she does
have an out that's semantical. I understand that, but she
didn't say I have the list. She said I have
the files right on my desk, and and her explanation.
And I went back and I listened to it. I
pulled it. And so she did say that. But however,
it doesn't explain that they kept talking about her in
the campaign too, that they were gonna they were going

(02:58):
to release all the files, they were going to release everything,
and now all of a sudden, they're not going to.
And I just and the way that Donald Trump reacted,
how he got so mad. I believe he's that was
a diversion. He just wants people to back off.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Well, I think you're right.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I mean, if there is any take the word list
off of it. Right, whatever is in that file, whatever
can be released without having to be redacted. And that's
the problem with some of the stuff. They have to
black out, blackout a lot of stuff. But let's just
say whatever there is they should release at this point. Otherwise,
I mean, because you've got the left and the right

(03:35):
going after him on this, I mean, there's no cover
right now for him because MAGA world's like, whoa, what
the hell?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Hold on a second, who are you protecting?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Who is? Who is the swamp of which now you
met become who is who is being protected?

Speaker 4 (03:49):
And that's the biggest worry.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I would dump out whatever they got, whatever is in
that file that was on our desk, they should released.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
You're right, most of their criticism is coming from MAGA
and Conservatives and Republicans, but mostly from MAGA. They're really
upset about this. They want Pam Bondi to resign over this.
So let's talk about the mayor's race real quickly, because
I think that some of the candidates are just acting
childish at this point. Obviously zorin Mom Donnie's just skating through.

(04:18):
He's getting endorsement after endorsement, and nobody's really coming after
him because they're going after each other.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
No, I told you they're going to normalize this guy.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
And now Espa Loot Congress Maslot, he's endorsed him. J Jacobs,
the state Democratic Party chair, has been quiet. You got
a lot of others who have just been quiet. But
at some point the floodgate's going to open. Look, none
of them want or like Andrew Clomo, so they don't
have somebody to run to embrace. So now they're looking
to their left about a potential primary down the road

(04:48):
if they don't get on this guy's bandwagon. And I
told they're going to normalize this guy. That's what they're
doing right now. That's the process that they're in.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, you were absolutely right, Rob Astarna, What are you
talking about this weekend?

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Gee? You know, I don't even know. I gotta sit
down and think about it, you know, all that kind
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, you know what, Fridays are great because Trump always
says something or does something.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
That's a great tease. It makes it a mystery. Guess
what he's gonna talk about? On The Rob Asperino Show
w o R Saturdays four to five. He's also host
of Saturday Agenda on Newsmax. Have You figured out the
topics for Newsmax shud or you're gonna just wing that too.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Totally winging it.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Form Westchester County executive. Thanks a lot, Rob, good to
talk to you. Talk to you next week.
