Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thanks so much for your talkbacks. If you'd like to
leave one, look for seven to ten wor on the
iHeartRadio app. This listener took a little jab at the
federal employees who don't want to fill out an email
that Elon Musk sent explaining what their job is.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh my god, someone has to answer a email. Oh
my god, it might take thirty five minutes or more
to fill it out. Oh my god, it's the end
of the world. Chicken, little, chicken, little, the sky is falling.
(00:39):
Give me a break.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Hey, you're not too far off. Here is a federal
employee named JT. Snyder who was on CNN, and I
think she well represents all of the federal employees who
are pushing back against this.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I'm well absolutely infuriated getting this email with a demand
within forty eight hours to provide a response and what
I did within the last week or face termination. This
is clearly an attempt from Elon Musk to harass and
bully and intimidate the federal workforce.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Of course, it's it. That's what it is. It's harassment
to say, hey, what is your job and what did
you do over the last week. That's that's really harassment.
That's just going too far. Well, what are the most
sinful states in the country? You know, I was picturing
the newsroom and them handing out assignments and them saying, hey,
(01:40):
who wants the most sinful state story, and Rory O'Neil saying, oh, me, me, me,
I'll take that one. Is that pretty much summon up Rory?
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Oh yeah, that's a pretty good description, I'd say. And
you know, I had my assumptions and some of them,
some of these states didn't fallk or I thought they
would on the list.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Oh that's interesting. Well, first of all, before we get
to where everybody ranks on the list, what constitutes a
sinful state?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Well, they actually look at the sins as laid out
in the Bibles, things like anger, jealousy, excess, greed, lust, vanity,
and laziness. And they do that by looking at some
data points, things like when it comes to anger, how
many road rage cases are there in your state, or jealousy,
(02:30):
how many thefts per capita, or greed how many casinos
per capita. And that's how wallet hub compiles all those
data to come up with their list to the fifty states.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oh well, that's fascinating. But then when you talk about
the casinos, I kind of know where this is headed.
Who's number one?
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Sorry giveaway? Yeah, the home of sin City, Nevada is
at the top of this list. Las Vegas, of course,
being in Nevada, so they rank number one. Not too
much of a surprise. California coming in at number two.
Floor is number three. Some of us are doing our part,
but I just assume Utah would be the big five. Oh,
(03:08):
but instead it's Idaho that is apparently as pure as
the driven snow.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Well, we might have a bigger story now you you
threw me for a second. So you're in Florida and
you said some of us are doing our part. What
are you doing to make it a more sinful state?
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Well, you know, maybe some of the not exercising every day.
The laziness factor is a bit high. Well let's not
get into lust.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
But no, no, no, let's get into lust.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
I should note that New York comes in at number eleven,
but in the survey they rank number one in vanity.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Larry, oh, Larry, wow, wait wait, so what are you saying?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
You don't know me?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
That's that's the number. Oh, I have your number. The
number of plastic surgeons, the number of barbers and airdressers,
the number of male salons per capita. That all goes
into the vanity ranking, and New York is number one.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
We be up there then, that ain't me. None of
those are me. But since you wanted to point me
out for vanity, let's get back to the lust topic
and why you didn't want to talk about that.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Oh top of the hour, Larry, I want to shame.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
By the way, so you have New York? What about
New Jersey and Connecticut?
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Sure, New Jersey comes in fifteenth on the list, even
with the Atlantic city in there. Connecticut thirty seven. So
there you go, and he's at.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
The very bottom. I guess as the most holy state.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, Idaho comes in at fifty, Utah was forty seven,
New Hampshire and Vermont up there at forty eight and
forty nine for being holier than though those Mormons.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yep, I can. I can absolutely see that. All right,
thank you very much, the lustful Rory O'Neill wr National correspondent. Man,
did I want to learn more about that? That was
the story. That was the most telling segment I think
we've had all morning. I you know, he said, I'm
not going to talk about the lust is who does
(05:18):
he work with. That's what we have to find out.
We need to get a team picture of the people
from the newsroom
