Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, he is the man of the hour, and I'm
so glad we're going to get the chance to talk
to Sean Spicer, Trump's first Press secretary and host of
the Sean Spicer Show. And I'm sure you've now seen
it because it's all over social media, because he had
a big interview this week. You can find it on
the iHeartRadio app and you can also see it on YouTube.
(00:23):
That's where you can find the Sewn Spicer Show. And
the big interview was Alan Dershowitz. Congratulations on that and
good morning Sean.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Hey, good morning Larry. Here's the dirty secret.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
The actual interview with Professor Dershowitz happened before all of
the hubbub came out. So when he's talking about I've
seen the list, he means it and it's not in light.
And that's what the real interesting thing is is that
he's not trying to jump into current events and make news.
(00:54):
This was said before the announcement came out, that the
DJ said there was nothing further, which in my opinion
makes it even more powerful that you know, you can't
make the case that he was trying to influence the situation,
et cetera.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
So this was a big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
And it was funny because when we pushed it out
last night, I put it out on Twitter. I put
it out on Twitter yesterday, and it's you know, closing
in on two million views. Because this is a guy
is as most people recall, who was accused, you know,
had some accusations made by a woman that was supposedly
you know, had been associated with Jeffrey Epstein, had been
(01:31):
there and after further evidence had been provided, according to
Professor Dershowitz, see we can't then her story, but in
the process, and this is where it gets good, is
that Dershwitz, because you've been involved as a lawyer and
all this says, I've seen the list. I know who's
suppressing the list. And if you go to my Twitter
feed or I've got it up on Instagram or obviously
he pointed out on the show YouTube on my YouTube
(01:53):
page the show last night, we played it. But like
he makes it very clear, he says, and I think
you've been talking about this morning, like is being suppressed.
I know who's seen it, I know who's on it.
I know who's suppressing the list. I think this is
a very interesting thing as far as you know, for
people who care about Epstein.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
You know, this is obviously a big deal for them.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, and I agree with you. It gives them more
credibility the fact that it happened before all of this,
all of this controversy. Right now, Did you press him
on who was on the list? Did he did he
give up anything more than what we've been hearing.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
No, Well, if you, if you listen to the whole thing, right,
And that's why I think if people want to hear it,
because he says, look, I am legally I'm not legally
allowed to discuss it. I'm under X number of confidentiality
agreements and non disclosure agreements because he was the lawyer
in some of these instances. He says, I am duty bound.
(02:51):
I can I cannot do it. But he says, but
I've seen it. I know who's on it. And further,
he says.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
You know, and this is the key.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I know who's suppressing it. And I think that's important.
And look, I think I don't Obviously I've not seen anything.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I don't know anything.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
But I will tell you that if you think about
who the people are that have been rumored, who have
been around Jeffrey Epstein, President Clinton, and a lot of
other people that were cited as being on that plane.
Business leaders, you guys there in New York know this
better than anyone. I mean you start going through your
head and think, if you've got twenty thirty major CEOs,
(03:29):
I mean, like the economic impact of a list like
this could be catastrophic. And I just you know, when
you think about the depth and breadth of people that
are on this list, it's something that like a Netflix
movie could be made of.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, do you have any guesses as to who's suppressing it?
Any number of those people?
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Well? Yeah, I mean I look, I mean just assume
for a second that the CEO of major corporation ex
why is on there, and and and.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
My guess is that there's like thirty or forty of them.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
And so again, whether it's a list or or a
you know, five different I mean, I guess we use
this word colloquially, but the.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Bottom line is we all know that there are people.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
And so whether it was kept as a list or
on a sprash piece of paper, I don't know, but
I'm saying that I think there are people that have
now gone to jail.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
We prosecuted Jeffery Epstein, so Obviously there's there.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
There had to have been if you're going to prosecute
somebody for these crimes, right then there has to have
been victims and and and so therefore we know that
something happened along the way. Obviously, how it manifested itself,
whether it was a list or not, is somewhat incidental
to this.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah. What I want to know though, hey Sean, what
I want to know is they promised this, and they
and they talked about this during the campaign, and Pam
Bondi a couple of times has promised this. How did
she not know? How did this administration not know?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
So so here's here's my guess. And again it's just
pure speculation. But remember you can only there's a couple
of things. One, there could be a lot of stuff
that is not in the hands of DJA specifically, like
in other words, there are things that could have gone missing.
If you get my drift between one administration and the next,
(05:18):
there could be things that are watered down. And the
other thing to keep in mind, Larry, is this and
this is something that was pointing out to me by
some lawyer friends of mine. Let's just say hypothetically, and
I'll use me and you as the example, because it's
neither one of us.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I don't think I know. I've never even met Jeffrey.
I've seen a road, so we can.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
But let's just say that there's a piece of paper
out there and it says Larry mentin chauan spicceron it,
and if you release that list without any new process,
without anything, I'm gonna say, hey, wait a second, I'm sorry,
my name is on a piece of paper, and you're
releasing a list that's going to destroy.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
My life, like entirely. And yet I've done nothing wrong.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
I don't have a chance to to, you know, go
through a legal process. And so the only other thing
that can happen is is that you could say, however,
this manifested again. Maybe it's fifteen different pieces of paper
stuffed into a bag.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I don't know, but.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
I'm just saying that when you start to think about
the consequences of when the government does things, and you
realize that, hey, look, if you were to release these
twenty names without context and without due process, you would
ostensibly be ruining the lives of individuals who may or
may not have committed a crime.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
And I am sort of as people have walked me
through this.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
From the legal standpoint, I do again, I feel for
the victims of this whole thing. Sure right to me
that there are there are young women that are the
real victims here that deserves some justice, but barring them
seeking legal recourse. I also see it from the other side,
which is if you're an individual and say, hey, I
(06:48):
have I may or may not be on some piece
of paper because I went to a dinner or did
something that doesn't allow me to you know, the consequences
that I'll face would be cataclysmic.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I get it, and that's well said. Thanks so much,
Shawn Spicer, Trump's first Press secretary, host of The Shawn
Spicer Show. Find him on the iHeartRadio app and YouTube.
And congratulations. That is quite a piece of sound and
quite an interview. Congratulations Sewan you beler, thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
