Speaker 1 (00:00):
So Senate Republicans are holding a hearing on President Biden's
mental decline while he was in office, the cover up
of that decline, and most importantly, who was running the country.
And one of the witnesses was Sean Spicer, who was
Donald Trump's former press secretary, and his testimony was compelling.
(00:22):
Sean Spicer is here to talk with us. Sean is
Trump's first press secretary. As I said, he's also the
host of Sean Spicer Show, which you can find on
the iHeartRadio app and YouTube. Nice job, Sean. I watched
your testimony and I thought it was fascinating, especially when
you were asked about the fact that the media covered
(00:43):
up they covered up Joe Biden's mental decline, and yet
they went after you, and they went after Donald Trump
because they said he wasn't mentally fit. Talk about the
comparison between the two. Sean, Oh, well, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
If you're sorry, Larry, No, no, Larry, I was such a
great wind up by you and I so I didn't
get in the way of it. And I'm sorry that
I was like I got. I don't want to thank
you for the kind words, and the goal was I
literally read to the committee a series of headlines and
(01:21):
stories from NBC, The Washington Post, CNN, et cetera that
questioned the President Trump's fitness for office during his first
term and said, you know, using their favorite term without evidence,
where they they went after him, and yet when there
were obvious signs of mental and physical decline with President Biden,
the same outlets literally said nothing. And part of this
(01:43):
was to show them the juxtaposition, because everybody wants to say, now,
who knew what when, Who's responsible, who's accountable? And my
point was the only thing I could really speak authoritatively
about was, you know, obviously the role of how the
White House works, but then importantly the role of the media,
because at the end of the day, one of the
other points that I made to the committee was cringe
(02:07):
Impire stripped four hundred and forty White House passes of
independent journalists. And if you silence the voices that they
are going to be critical of you for all to
talk about democracy dying in darkness and threats to the constitution,
et cetera, everyone wants to forget that they literally silenced
media criticism and that was their goal. And so part
of this was is you look back on it, and
(02:28):
you say, what were the telltale signs? We all saw
them right there, they were doing it. I was yelling
from the rooftop saying this is ridiculous, and the White
House Correspondent Association said nothing. So part of it is
as we go forward, what are those telltale signs to
keep an eye out for.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
What are they?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Well, again, I think part of it is stripping the
media of their ability to cover this white to cover
any White House number one number two in the case.
The point that I made to the committee was the
doctor the president undergoes an annual physical good doctor Kevin
O'Connor in the case of Biden, attested to the fact
that he was extremely fit for office. And my only
(03:08):
point was, Okay, well, if he's going to say that,
then have him. You know, obviously that's not a medical thing.
It's not like his blood pressure or some medical video.
If it's his opinion is based on my diagnosis, he's
fit for office, he's been well. He should be able
to answer for that. He should be able to explain
his analysis and his conclusions. And so my point to
the committee was that there are things that frankly, at
the end of the day, we didn't we could have
(03:31):
done at the time, but more importantly, what can we
do in the future, And that was kind of where
I really wanted to focus was going forward? How do
you know? And so, for example, if you see the
media starting to have all of the passes stripped of
people who are critical, and then you think about the
contrast of what Caroline Levitt this white House is doing,
which is increasing accessibility and transparency, versus what the Biden
(03:52):
white House did. And yet the media was complicit. Not
only did they not cover the story, but then when
the passes were stripped of people who might be critical,
they sat in a thing. And part of that is
again because they're on board on the team.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
But they still are. What gets me is, I'm looking
at the coverage of these hearings and they're critical of
the hearings and they're saying nothing has been discovered, nothing's
been found. This is pointless. And the Democrats are still
in on it because they're not even showing up to
the hearings to ask any questions. So this cover up
continues until this day, and as long as the media
(04:26):
is that complicit, they're going to get away with it.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Well, they are in there, aren't. I mean the Democrats
buy by walking out of that hearing yesterday, not just
the member the senators, but their staff as well. They're
basically admitting, Okay, you guys were right, we did cover
it up. And Senator Cruz and Senator Holly and some
other senators literally went through a list of quotes that
those folks had made in particular to Biden's fitness. So
(04:50):
the funny part about this, Larry, and I take this
a little personally because you kind of alluded to it.
A second ago. Myself and a lot of other members
of the Trump administration were accused of lot being over
and over again, and we need to be banned, and
we need to be canceled and censored. And yet these senators,
these members of the media, these members of his own
cabinet lied to the American people about the fitness for
(05:11):
office and the forty sixth president of the United States,
and they face no accountability. So you can quibble with me,
people can all that. You know, Look, if you want
to make get pissed at me because I've screwed up
the size of an event when describing it, okay, great,
But what is a bigger sin that or covering up
the cognitive and physical abilities of the leader of the
(05:33):
pretty world to do their job. And I think we
have a priorities wrong when we say that's this guy's
a liar needs to be canceled. But when green jump
here since that same podium and said he won stirles
around me, no one thinks that that's an outrageous lied,
then we have a problem.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I agree with you, and I also love the article
that you wrote also saying that the press secretaries had
to know that you would have known in the Press secretary.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Because there's the point that I made, Larry, is that
there's two conclusions either one. And I'm being serious about
this because I know it's gonna come off funded, but
you but if Cringe jump here really thought that he
could run circles around here her and crushed most of
the staff, is what she said, like in terms of
his stamina, then either she is in need of immediate
medical attention or she was lying because like I've had
(06:24):
that job, I've watched Biden. I mean, I don't I
think an eighty seven year old in a wheelchair could
outrun Joe Biden.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah no, And there's no question, no it was a
great article and I encourage people to read it. And
thank you so much. Sean Spicer, Trump's first press secretary,
host of the Sewan Spicer Show. Find him on the
iHeartRadio app and on YouTube. Thanks again, Sean, you were
great yesterday. You were tremendous.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yester, Yeah, thank you.
