Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's get to the story of the day and get
reaction from Vicky Palladino. Vicki Palladino is the New York
City council woman represents the District nineteen of Northeast Queens
and you are the Republican whip. Now, congratulations on that.
I think I congratulated you on that last week. But
it's it's kind of a big deal.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, I know it's wonderful. And also, man, you're on
Fox News all the time. I just saw you on
there again yesterday. You've become the queen of Fox News.
Let's talk about why they had you on Fox in
the first place. The future of Mayor Adams. First of all,
I assume you don't think he should.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Resign, No, not at all. We would be setting a
president's let's get down to the real nitty gritty here,
and what that is is hocal. This would be unpresident.
I mean, there's a there's an election coming up. You know,
when it comes down to it, you've got no right

(01:00):
to do what you think you have the power to do,
and technically she does. But think about of New York. Okay,
and what follows Eric Adams? If GoF forbid. They are
allowed to remove a man for strip is just simply

(01:22):
agreeing with the President of the United States and Ice
to give them a room at Rikers Island so that
they could remove the most violent criminals this city has
ever seen. Think of the lunacy that's attached to this.
There was no call for removing him when these charges

(01:44):
were first brought against him months ago. Everybody sat quiet.
There was a few pieces of value, people with outreach
here were there. Big deal. This is all political. And
make no mistake, we will have Jemani Williams, and don't
think Hulk has been thinking about this. We will have

(02:06):
Jimani Williams, who is our public advocate, who does nothing
extreme left wing. Okay, this is the politics you're dealing
with in New York today. You're dealing with no crime
is a crime, and a lawless society. So what do

(02:27):
you want to do? Knock Adams out because he agreed.
He's one of the few mayors that agreed not to
go to war with the President and or Ice in
order to protect his citizens of the city. So for that,
you know what, We're going to remove him. He doesn't
agree with us. Time to get rid of him. No,

(02:48):
that's not how it works. And to his deputy mayors,
I say, you're cowards. I said this on air, I'll
say it on the radio. You are cowards. You know,
where is the loyalty? There is none, and you know
this is all. This is terrible, terrible, It is terrible.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
And you you called it lunacy a second ago. Here's
what I find lunacy is that they don't want ICE
to come in and remove criminals from the streets, but
they want to remove the mayor who wants to do that.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
That that's correct, that's it's it's insane, yes, And that's
why I called it lunacy. It's whoever hurt. I mean,
you know, look, Chicago is shot, uh, California, so many
it's shot. You know, why do we want to do this? Now,
Let's remember we have an election coming up. This is

(03:49):
a duly elected mayor. All right, we have an election
coming up. If the people don't want him in again,
he will lose his primary. I love Brad Lander. I
mean if he had an ounce of brains, which he
does not. This is one of the dumbest human beings
I know. And his wife is in charge of her business.

(04:14):
Is actually all in non for profits and what runs
this city non for profits. So Brad should really just
sit down and shut up. Okay, be quiet and let
the people of this city. We have a primary coming
up in June. Let the people of the city decide
who the Democratic candidate will be, and then we will

(04:35):
have an election in November. Okay, that's how it should be.
There should never be Kathy Hochel or any governor with
no cause whatsoever to to remove a city elected official. Now,
if she wanted to really do the right thing, Larry,
don't you think she should have used her power of

(04:56):
the pen to get rid of Alvin Bragg.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, I've heard this.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, criminals, I've heard this. Criminal I get it.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I get it. You're absolutely right. I've heard that a
couple of times, and I completely agree with it. What
I didn't know until yesterday is that even if Governor
hoche passes, and even if the judge today drops the charges,
which he should do, but now there's some question into that,
what could happen is that brad Lander could convene a

(05:27):
panel and if four of the five on that panel
vote that Adams is unable to govern, then it goes
to the city council and you have to have a
vote in twenty one days, and two thirds have to
vote in the majority. You tell me, I mean your
city council, with the exception of you and a handful
of others, is far to the left. Do you have

(05:50):
two thirds of the votes? Do they have two thirds
of the votes to remove Mayor Adams? Yes?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yes, my council Sadly, I don't understand people. I just
don't get it sometimes. This man is disrespected and disliked
by a great number of council the people I serve with.
Who are we talking about about my city council? I mean,

(06:19):
you've got Lincoln wrestler who makes it, uh him the
topic of every committee hearing. If you share the committee
with him, which I do in government ops, he manages
to turn that committee hearing into why we dislike Mayor
Adams and this administration. We're not talking about this Lincoln,

(06:41):
we're talking about the topics on hand. Yet he manages
to turn things into that. I will there are countless
others in council who want to see this mayor gone.
They want him gone. They will take Jimani Williams in
a heartbeat. They will take Brad Lander in a heartbeat again,

(07:03):
we go back to the same thing. Adams was never
left enough, you know, for them, they never thought left
when we brought in when the mayor uh did his
hearing with Randy Mastro to become the city council's council.
This is a man who is a Democrat, common sense democrat,

(07:25):
one of the top attorneys in the entire country. And
you sat there and you listened to them nail him
to a cross. It was a crucifixion. Half of these
kids who were on this panel of the city council
were probably seven years old. Kept bringing up. They kept
no no joke. They kept bringing up because he was

(07:47):
chief of staff to Rudy.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
They didn't like him. We got to wrap it up, VICKI,
that's why I'm going, that's okay, No, no, no, don't
worry about it. I should have. I should have let
you know, but I assume they they didn't put him in.
Thanks so much, Icky Palladino. Well we'll we'll talk about
it next time.
