Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's get the Vicky Palladino, New York City Council member
represents District nineteen of Northeast Queens. Vicky, I know you're
going to have a lot to say. Let me just
say two words. Brad Lander.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
As an idiot, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Good morning. What did you think?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
What did you say? Well, you know, look, the first,
of course, knew jerk reaction is that it's a political stunt.
As you said, you know, this is all political theater,
you know, bread. But the more serious aspect of this
whole thing is that he obstructed Ice. And these people

(00:46):
think that they could just go ahead and do what
they're doing, whether you're here, or you're in Jersey or
wherever you are, California. They just think they could just
step in. You know, he locked arms with this guy,
refuse to allow Ice to make the arrests. Who the
hell are you bred? Okay? And he wanted to see
a warrant. Well, Ice is under no obligation, folks, to

(01:09):
show anybody a warrant, And no warrant is even necessary
for those that don't understand, because I didn't either until
everything was explained to me yesterday. You know, no warrant
is even necessary to remove someone who's here illegally. None.
And if you're here illegally, you're subject for removal. It's
as simple as that. It's an administrative process, not a

(01:31):
judicial one.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
So when we get this going and we understand, let's
let's let me make something else very clear that you know,
if ICE had access wrap your head around this. If
ICE actually had x access to our courts and our
jails in all these blue cities, these sanctuary cities, none

(01:54):
of none of this would be happening, okay, because the criminals,
you know, they would be processed but and and removed.
But what these people are trying to do is what
they did several years back, is to just cause absolute chaos.
And the idea that that woman upstate Hopal decided to

(02:16):
put on a Superwoman cape and come down here yesterday.
I mean picture all of this. I mean we're watching
it play out in real time, and she thinks he's
gonna say, Brad Landern, you know, beat up Trump this
whole thing. I get it. Yeah, hey Trump, okay, but
you know what Trump won. He ran on this. He's

(02:38):
extremely popular on the fact that people do not want
those that are here illegally. You know, we had a
record number of people. Do you remember when Christy Nome
came out and they were offered they were offering people
one thousand dollars and free airfare to wherever they wanted
to go to re enter the country legally. That's actually working,

(03:04):
that's actually working. So they had so many people in California,
these illegals leave. Take our government up on this ability
to do this and reent to legally. Nobody will bother you.
These people are here illegally and this cannot be you know.

(03:24):
And then we had the No King's protests. All right,
what did you see at these No Kings protests? A
bunch of seventy year old, eighty year old sixty five
year old white women, Okay and men?

Speaker 1 (03:38):
That's true, that's true. The average was almost deceased. You're
absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I mean, it's really pathetic, all because you don't like this?
What about this? Don't they like?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Now?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I'm going to tell you I had friends that really
surprised me. And the only way I knew they went
was because I saw it on Facebook. So I can't
wait to get them into my office and ask them,
why did you go like this? No King's protest down
in Manhattan. I wanted to understand. I want you to. I
want to see if you understand exactly what you're protesting about,

(04:15):
you know, because it was a peaceful protest. It's a
perfect group of leftover hippiests and you know, I just
want to know if they know we've got to get
double back to bread LANDA we.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Got hold on one second. I want I want to
comment on something you just said, because it's really important.
They they did interview the media did try to interview
people in the No Kings protest and they were asking
them why are you here? And they couldn't answer. They
couldn't answer. There was simple questions that they couldn't answer.
They're just there, first of all because there's a protest

(04:46):
and they just want to be involved in it because
they want to live out their old days. But also
because they hate Donald Trump. That's the only reason they're there.
They don't know what the issues are. They just don't
like Trump. So if he's for it, there.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Against it, that's right. And this is what this is
all about. The ignorance is just horrible. I mean, you
have your usual that refola vote, Well, what's that that
one star's name. He's always there. He lives in Manhattan. Susan, Uh,
there you go, and and and Susan Sarandon. She was out,

(05:23):
Julia Luis drive. These are well your usual players. I mean,
we're sick and tired of it. Actually, it doesn't even
really so long as they're not burning down uh cars
or lighting stares on fire, burning off flags. I really
don't care, you know, because you're a joke. You're an
absolute joke. But this, this has got to stop. What

(05:46):
Brad Lander and other elected officials are doing in this
city needs to stop, because this is what Ice is
doing is not going to stop. All right, they're here illegally, okay,
this guy that they were deporting. Look, Biden brought in
Math and math amnesty program where he granted, you know,

(06:09):
the blanket status uh to millions of people under an
executive order. Well guess what. Trump revoked that executive order.
So you know you're here illegally, you have an opportunity
to leave, come back the right way. You know, you
got to face the consequences. This is what it's about.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I tell you about Brad Landery. It's so obvious that
he just wandered his ten seconds of fame, because if
you listened, if you watch that video, the ice officers
constantly were saying, sir, beckoff, sir please, can you s time? Yeah,
over and over.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Again, over and over again, and it was said to
him ten times. But he had to get in, like
you said, is fifteen minutes of fame. And then my
my city council of course needed to come out, you know,
and make their asinine statements. The governor flew down, Come on,

(07:07):
knock it off already. We're all really sick and tired
of this, and this mayor's race is troublesome. We know that.
I think with all the negative stuff that finally came out.
Remember my tweet up with Zoe ran all right about
deport I finally you know, I knew we couldn't deport

(07:29):
him because he's a citizen now, but just that one
word said, everybody's head off fire. I know, campaign calling
me now, that campaign's calling me. And how do you know,
I said, start to bring out who this guy is.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yes, and that's happening. By the way, the New York
Times did a good piece as well, so we got
to get going. VICKI thanks so much, Vicky Palladino, New
York City Council represents District nineteen of Northeast Queens. Thanks again,
