Yesterday, the Ravens announced that Larry wes Henson, aka Captain Defense,
died at the age of seventy four. They said his
pride and passion for Baltimore was one of a kind.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
Well, you know, he was in the military for a
long time and that's how he came up with the
idea of his costume.

Speaker 8 (00:57):
Yeah, I did twenty four years in the military and
it's one of them. Child and there are things and
I had these pointed homes out that was it didn't work,
and I was in a Halloween store. The happiness to
these spikes and change. But sometimes things pick you bikes
and change. I'm like, let me, let me try to
ease and I paint them a white and that kind
of took off. In my uniform has a military theme.

(01:18):
The type of all branches over the military, and I
am Captain Defense.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Well, if you want to leave your condolences for the
Henson family, you can hit up Michael J and Bethany
on Instagram and send us your memories, send us your
wishes for the family.

Speaker 7 (01:32):
Pistachio tide is taking over Baltimore. It smells so bad.
I was downtown yesterday showing houses and I actually had
to stay to the guy because he was from New
York City. I was like, look, it doesn't usually sell,
it doesn't usually smell this.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Now, how does it smell to you? Is it fishy?
Is it foul like like sewage, like sewer? Yeah, like
dead fish.

Speaker 9 (01:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
And it goes from the Inner Harbor at Light and
Pratt all the way to key Bridge.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
It's been it pretty much around the entire you can
picture the city of Baltimore. I feel like it covers
like all of it. It's green, it's green, it's stinky.

Speaker 9 (02:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
I felt so bad because people were jogging and I
was like, ugh, it's killing the life of fish. It's
just it's very, very bad. And it's coming from runoff. Yeah,
well one that's one of the reasons. Yeah, there's lots
of different factors.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
They said.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
Ravens traded a fey Oway yesterday for a Loohi Gilman.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Also, Joe Flacco got traded.

on and on. A couple of people went to the hospital,
but no fatalities.

the fire was intentionally set. John Waters is going to

miles you're gonna eat it every single taco bell along
the route.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Hell's pretty healthy.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
She's very great. It's very uh, what's the way to
put it? Very granola? Yeah, granola.

Speaker 7 (03:46):
That is. By the fourth stop, the runners must eat
at least one Chilupa Supreme. By the eighth stop, they
must have consumed at least one burrito or the nacho
spel grande.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Don't they have to keep running?

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Is that gonna start smelling like our green pistachio tide?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Gross a? One more story to add real quick.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
A big country star announced that he's got to have
surgery immediately and he's canceling his tour. The story at
seven twenty with the Music City minute ninety.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Three point one w POC.

Speaker 7 (04:18):
Traffic seventy eastbound between exit eighteen and Exit twenty four
is closed right now because a Lettuce truck got into
an accident, so they're going to be cleaning that up
all morning.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Seventy Was he call you dog, dog yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Was he call you dog yeah?

Speaker 10 (04:46):
Was he calling you?

Speaker 9 (04:47):
Dolling?

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Ninety three point one w POC. He is Chase Matthew
Michael J. And Bethany, Megan, what are you doing?

Speaker 11 (04:54):
I am driving into work because I am an accepted
employee and have to work the.

Speaker 12 (05:00):
Shutdown, But you're not getting paid exactly, So.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Can you say what part of the federal government?

Speaker 9 (05:06):
You work?

Speaker 11 (05:07):
In the Department of War?

Speaker 5 (05:08):
All right, well, shout out. We don't want to get
her in trouble being a federal employee. So just a
big congratulations to Megan who just won the tickets for
jingle Ball. We're going to be sending her to see
Jelly Roll and a whole bunch of other stars that
I know you're excited about, Bethany.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
And we're thinking about all the federal employees exactly furloughed
and the ones who have to go to work.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, we're you know, it's it's really a bummer.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
We're saying the same thing to you that we were
telling her off the air, just hanging there. She sounded
so upbeat despite what's going on, and we asked her
how she's doing, and she's like, we're doing all right,
but you know, we really need to get some They
need closures exactly. So we're thinking about you in the
federal government this morning.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Michael Jay's music city minute in sixty seconds. You don't
know like you own music.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Road.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Hey, the big news that I was telling you about
Cody Johnson is the country star.

Speaker 9 (06:03):
Listen to this.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
He's off the road at least until the end of
the year because of an immediate surgery.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I imagine it's happening this morning. He just announced this.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
He said he immediately had to go in the hospital
and he expects a week's long, minimally a healing journey.
What happened was, he says, he had a bad inner
ear infection and somehow from having this bad infection, he
ruptured his ear drum.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
And without surgery, quote, my downtime could be months. And
then Cody Johnson continues, while battling a severe upper respiratory
and sinus infection, I burst my ear drum. I wonder
if he was blown his nose maybe. You know when
you get so stuffed up.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Yeah, it's like it sometimes feels like your head is
going to explode.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
Well, he actually burst his ear drum.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
The severity of the rupture means I must undergo immediate surgery.
The healing process will take many weeks, and he says,
doctors say it's not possible for him to sing without
the surgery. His downtime could be months or longer, so
please pray for full healing. He is and he wants
to return to doing what he loves now. He's scheduled

(07:14):
to play at CFG Bank Arena on March seventh, So
at this point everything's canceled through the end of the year.
We'll let you know if we hear anything on that.
The other big news today, if you can jump on
a plane and get on down to Nashville eight o'clock
tonight on Lower Broadway, post Malone is celebrating his brand
new venue called Posties, and he's putting on a free concert.

(07:38):
That is your music city meant well.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, your bottom more boy, Michael J.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Michael J and Bethany here at ninety three point one WPOC. Bethany,
you've been taught fucking in Bethany's brief. In the last week,
there's been a lot of stories about Keith Urban and
Nicole Kidman, and then we had j Lo getting back together.
When they didn't get back together, you know, they just
pose for a photo. Yeah, Jaylo and Ben Affleck. So

(08:16):
you know, with these big, these big, well known famous
couples divorcing. It kind of took me back to when
I split up I was with my ex wife. I'm
married the second time, and I've been married for twenty
gone on twenty two years, but actually twenty three.

Speaker 9 (08:33):
I did the math. Oh my gosh, I'm going to
kick myself in the butt.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
No, but my first marriage was brief, it was like
five years, and I remember when we split up that
people kind of acted differently to you. So I put in,
just out of curiosity into Google yesterday and I said,
do people treat you differently after a divorce?

Speaker 9 (08:58):
The Internet says, you want.

Speaker 13 (09:00):
To guess, probably yes, absolutely yes, it says, oh wow,
people often treat you differently after a divorce, with changes
ranging from lost friendships and feeling like an outsider to
social stigma and being seen as a threat to marry
couple's relationships.

Speaker 9 (09:17):
So think about this for a second.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
If you're in a relationship as a couple, and then
you have friends who are couples, right, you do things
together as couples, right Now, all of a sudden you're single.
That changes that dynamic on so many levels.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
And I've heard the theory that divorce is contagious Oh wow,
that's interesting. If one if you either have a group of
people and one one couple gets divorced, then like everyone's like,
oh my god, are we going to catch it?

Speaker 9 (09:48):
You know what I thought was fascinating too.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
I just was curious, like, are people getting divorced more
often or less often in Maryland and in Baltimore specifically,
And they didn't have numbers specifically for Baltimore or the
county Like I was checking Harford, Howard, Carol, Anna Rendel.
I couldn't get it down on that level. They say
they couldn't get it that granular because it ends up
in the courts. But over the last thirty years a

(10:11):
little it's it's not huge, but the amount of people
divorcing in Maryland has dropped from back in the nineties
it was higher than it is now. Oh interesting for
one hundred thousand population. YadA, YadA, Yada's all kinds of
statistics you can get into, but we're sticking with this question.
Do people treat you differently after a divorce if you've

(10:34):
been divorced?

Speaker 9 (10:35):
That's kind of what we're wondering.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
What you think about this, Well, some may become more supportive,
some other friends may distance themselves, they choose sides, they
avoid contact due to discomfort or fear or.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
You know, who don't know what to say to you.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Yeah, they don't know if someone's to blame you hear,
there's a lot to unpack and all that.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
And initially when you asked me do you do you
think people treat it? I was like, no, I don't
think so, I think, But then the more I thought
about it, the more I was like, Yeah, yeah, I
think they do.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Seven seven nine six two.

Speaker 7 (11:13):
Begin your message with higher hay eight hundred three two
one thirty six ninety three. Or do you think it
like if a are you married and a friend of
yours Scott divorced, are you feeling differently toward them?

Speaker 9 (11:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (11:26):
I mean like do you pick aside? Do you get
like because I know that happens, Like when I hear
about somebody.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
We we did it with Nicole and Keith. We were like, oh,
I wonder who did he cheat?

Speaker 9 (11:36):
Did she?

Speaker 11 (11:36):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Like immediately like you decided to.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
I know it feels gossipy, but I think everyone automatically starts.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
That's nature.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Yeah, you mony star, It's wonderful. Who screwed on did it?
You know what can we learn from it? We want
to hear from you eight hundred and three two one
thirty six ninety three.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Do you think that I'm talking foosh?

Speaker 9 (11:56):
You've heard them?

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Wow, I'm free forever and forever and forever and forever and.

Speaker 13 (12:16):
A throwback one of the all time greats Randy Travis
Forever and ever.

Speaker 9 (12:24):
Amen.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
Well, Nick, Yeah, we're talking about divorce and do people
treat you different? Now we're not going to give your name.
She requested to be anonymous. But you say, to the
question do people treat you differently after divorce?

Speaker 9 (12:42):
What is your answer?

Speaker 14 (12:43):
Now?

Speaker 12 (12:46):
For me, it definitely happened. Yes, Unfortunately, there were things
that were said that were not true, and he was looking.

Speaker 11 (12:57):
For a sympathy card. And it even that like our
best man and maid of honor, they didn't even even
reach out to me and see.

Speaker 9 (13:05):
If I was okay, I'm sorry sorry.

Speaker 11 (13:09):
About that, and yeah, it was crazy and I can
only imagine what he said, but he told me that
they didn't.

Speaker 12 (13:19):
Want to get in the middle of it. I didn't
ask anybody.

Speaker 11 (13:21):
To get in the.

Speaker 12 (13:22):
Middle of it because it was just between him and I.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 12 (13:27):
It wasn't necessary for anybody to get in the middle
of it, and we just to call to say.

Speaker 11 (13:34):
Hey, how are you right? You know what I mean?
I didn't even want people to take sides.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Right, you don't want them to. But don't you think
that turn it around? Would you? Do you automatically feel
like you have to, like if you were better friends
with one part of the couple than the other, and
like your girlfriend gets married, has a bad marriage, and
it seems like you're just inclined to want to support
her or whoever you add the relationship with the longest?

Speaker 9 (14:03):
Am I wrong?

Speaker 11 (14:04):
I would know, I know you're right, I would support her,
But I do know there's two sides of a story,
and usually in a breakup, yes, it's both parties. And
I'm not And I'm not saying that I was a
perfect angel and I couldn't have did something better, but
the fact of what was really said to make that

(14:27):
him look wonderful was such a false.

Speaker 12 (14:31):
Lie, and I had proof of it and everything, But
I just I don't know. I just yes, if you.

Speaker 11 (14:39):
Have a friend, if you're not close to their significant other,
than you.

Speaker 12 (14:42):
Know you're gonna navigate to them, right.

Speaker 11 (14:45):
I have I've known people that have been divorced, and
I treat them the same. You know, I've I've always
been the type of person.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Listen.

Speaker 11 (14:54):
You know, if you're my friend, you be there for me, good, better, indifferent,
You support each other and support each.

Speaker 12 (15:00):
Other from the tech know what I mean, and sometimes
and you be honest.

Speaker 9 (15:04):
Hey, thanks for calling. We appreciate all that.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
From the text, someone said divorce is never easy and
to judge or assume is the worst thing you can do.
It's the time when your friend may need you the most.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
But then you know.

Speaker 7 (15:17):
Counterpoint, somebody on text said it's human nature, it takes science,
when yeah, that's what I was trying to say.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
It's never fun.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Do people treat you differently after divorce? We'll find out WPOC.

Speaker 15 (15:31):

Speaker 9 (15:47):

Speaker 16 (15:49):
My brother and sister in law married over forty years. Right,
I've known her fifty years and it is a little
strange if they got divorced, Like it's a little odd
being around them. I'm not taking sides. I've already told
both of them. I'm not taking sides or anything. But
it's just a little different.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Wait, so time to make it.

Speaker 7 (16:12):

at different times in different spots. That's Thomas Ratt, Michael
j and Bethany ninety three point.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
One w POC bethanyes Bree all the things you need
to know all the days.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Right, don't bother me. It's Amazon deal days.

Speaker 5 (23:33):
Oh that's what you're doing over there. She was glued
to the computer on what I'm thinking about? So hold on,
hold on, I'm thinking about Amazon.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
You know what I'm gonna buy. It's not a big purchase,
but I'm super excited about it.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
They apparently have these tea bags that are espresso martini.
Okay bags, Okay, So you just put the tea bag
shaped item into your vodka and it makes it into
an espresso martini.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Can I send a shout? Out to Johnny. He is
an Amazon driver. He comes to our house so often.
I'm telling him he's gonna have a room. I'm like,
you're just john Yeah, come over for Thanksgiving?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (24:06):
I mean he was at our house four times in
one day? Is that ridiculous? And they're not These aren't
for me. I'm not gonna there anybody else at the
house under the bus, poor Johnny. But I mean it,
he's like, I'm back again, Johnny.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
All right? So, uh get to shopping, I guess.

Speaker 7 (24:26):
And it's not just Amazon that has deals, by the way,
lots of other retailers are also jumping on the bandwagon. So,
uh so, do you want to guess who's going to
host a new wordle game show?

Speaker 5 (24:35):
I'm trying to picture Wordle as a game show. I
wonder if it's going to be set up differently than
the Five Letters and the way it is right now online.
But the game show isn't.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Somebody we know Savannah from the Today Show? What I know,
Savannah Guthrie is gonna do Wordle? I was like, okay, wow,
way to make me not excited about it?

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Yeah, I mean I like Savannah, She's great. What about though?
Like I mean I thought Hoda was out of work.
Oh no, Hoda's got her own thing now.

Speaker 9 (25:04):
Okay, but she's me, she laughed. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (25:07):
Another new game show being developed. It's a reality show
on Netflix. It's gonna be based on the Clue board game. Okay,
so that that should be fun. Okay, So now we'll
get to the bad news. Two people stabbed in Pikesville
yesterday morning. It was an hour's long barricade situation, which
is wild for like a small you know, called a

(25:28):
saki community.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
We just had a stabbing at Towson Town Center in
the mall, in the barking lot.

Speaker 9 (25:33):
That was a domestic.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I think this, I don't know, is leaning toward that.

Speaker 9 (25:39):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
So lots of trades happening yesterday. Joe Flacco, boy.

Speaker 9 (25:44):
He's bangles.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
He should just never unpack his suitcase.

Speaker 9 (25:48):
No, he's got every jersey in the NFL.

Speaker 7 (25:50):
Now, I think in o way got traded. Yeah, Sandy
getting a new safety, Gilman. Okay, I don't know anything
about it, but yeah, you sports, it stinks. Downtown Pistachio
tied is happening.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Oh that fragrance is not good. It's owe to Baltimore.

Speaker 7 (26:07):
Key thought that I smelled it like in Tawson yesterday.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Did you think it's I do think it could blow?

Speaker 5 (26:15):
Yeah? Well, I mean it's all over the Inner Harbor
around from the Science Center to the aquarium and to
where the Key bridge is being built.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
Okay, and then lastly, can we just give a shout
out to Larry wes Henson.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
No, I mean this is breaking my heart to his family,
Captain Defense. And there's a new guy who just joined
the radio station to work in our sales department.

Speaker 9 (26:39):
Marquez.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
I want to tell you something, dude, I'm going to
turn you into a Ravens fan.

Speaker 9 (26:44):
I know you're cowboys, but listen, we had this guy.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
I mean literally, he was in the service for twenty
four years since the nineties. Captain Defense was at every game,
every function. He had his white picket fence. He'd hold
it up and we would go crazy. He was a
great guy. I just loved him. He was so lovable,
I know. And he passed seventy four.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
The Ravens put out a nice statement on it, which
I thought was nice. But we're thinking about that this morning.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 7 (27:16):
Traffic Okay, eight ninety five southbound before the Harbor Tunnel
is our worst spot out there right now looks like
you're stop and go for about forty minutes, So take
another route and be careful because it's a little sloppy
out there. A seventy eastbound between eighteen and twenty four
still closed due to an earlier accident. Seven ninety five
southbound at Franklin accident there moved to the right shoulder.

(27:38):
Eighty three northbound after Northern Parkway. An accident there from
earlier still causing trouble. Eight ninety five northbound an accident
there at Childs Street. Moved to the shoulder in a
vehicle fire on ninety five southbound at Russell Street.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
I was a huge hootie in the Blowfish fan back
in the nineties, and now to hear them with Scotti,
McCreary and Darius Rucker, I think that's magical.

Speaker 9 (28:12):
Yeah, right there, that is a good song.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
A bottle rockets all right, Michael Jy and Bethany about
twenty after every hour we connect you to Nashville like this.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
Michael J's Music City minute in sixty seconds.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
You gon't know like you own music row.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
So the big story about a country star who's in
the hospital getting operated on today and canceling. His tour
revolves around Cody Johnson. Cody Johnson off the road now
for the rest of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 9 (28:44):
Here's what is going on.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
He says, while battling a severe upper respiratory and sinus infection,
he burst his ear drum. I've always said, you know,
you feel it when you if you pinch your nose
and blow, you can feel well, all.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
The inside are connected of.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
Your head, right, you get a little snot in there
and then all starts to who knows how it happened,
but the severity of the rupture meant that he had
to undergo immediate surgery that is happening today. The healing
process is expected to take weeks and they say because
of that, doctors say he's not gonna be able to
sing at least until the end of this year. Now,

(29:21):
what does that mean for March seventh at CFG Bank
Arena in Baltimore.

Speaker 9 (29:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
You don't know yet, So what.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Is that that's five months from now? Do you think
that his ear drum could heal? And I hope so, yeah,
five months. So that's TBA at this point. All right,
we'll let you know as soon as we hear. Taylor
Swift sat down with Jimmy Fallon this week. Here is
why she's not doing the halftime. Do you think it's fake?

Speaker 9 (29:49):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Well, she mentioned that her fiancee Travis Kelce is the
reason for not considering a Super Bowl performance due to
her focus on his football games. You really think she
can't focus, like at halftime. He's not playing at halftime, right,
and she wouldn't be focused.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
And also, who is she to assume he'll be in
Super Bowl? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (30:11):
Isn't that kind of exactly?

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (30:13):
I mean I know he or no, Bethany, That's what
it is. This is wrestling, it's WWE, NFL. It's all scripted.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah, because you think the Ravens would really lose that
many times in a row.

Speaker 9 (30:29):
Do you think that was so?

Speaker 5 (30:30):
In other words, there was a script that told us
that Lamar couldn't play. He's actually fine, but the movie
writers they have him on the side line.

Speaker 9 (30:38):
All right, Well, believe it or not.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
She says that she admires jay Z and Rock Nation
for considering her for the halftime, but she values the
opinion of her her closest girlfriends who have been told her,
been telling her, No, you're gonna focus on your fiance.
You're gonna you're gonna go a fuck so Travis Kelsey,

(31:02):
you won't be doing the so instead of Taylor Swift
at halftime.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
We now know it's going to be bad. Bunnie.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, right, ninety three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
And that's been going absolutely fine. No one's worried.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
About everyone's happy about that.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, Okay.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
The eight ninety five southbound is crawling before the Harbor Tunnel.
Things are backed up about thirty minutes right now, so
you're gonna want to take another way if you can.
BNW Parkway southbound between run on those Bolvard and one
seventy five per usual, U seventy eastbounds at exit eighteen
still closed due to that overturned Lettuce truck. Seven ninety
five northbound at Franklin Is. It's not closed, but stop

(31:42):
and go right now due to an accident. And there's
a vehicle fire on ninety five southbound A Russell Street.

Speaker 9 (31:46):
Lettice is La Chuga.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
We're gonna start learning Spanish, so we're ready for the
halftime show about bad money.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Ooh dot com see it, hear it Live.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Me the reason.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Ninety three point one w POC Michael J and Bethany
and Bethany's got to update this story. Here's basically what's
happened over the last How many months has this been?

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Oh, I would say like six months.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
It's been quite a while while you and I have
been together here on the Morning show since January of
this year, so it's nine ish months.

Speaker 9 (33:53):
So I think it happened like in March. They started.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
Here's the deal. Madeline, your daughter's nineteen, that's right. I
remember you first coming in and saying, you know, Michael J.
Madeleine has a new friend. I'm like, what do you mean?
And you said they were playing video games. Yeah, they
met on Discord, and I was what is Discord? That's
it's like a social media for gamers. So Madeline's playing

(34:17):
and then there's this kid, Caleb. He's in San Diego, California.

Speaker 7 (34:20):
Yeah, he's far far away, and they play the same
game and they chit chatted in the in the server
and then they struck up a little romance.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
Now, I remember when this first started, you were worried
about it, yeah, because she's an adult kind but.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
She's nineteen right kind of Yeah, she's still under your roof.
And then he's all of a sudden gonna fly.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
Here and you're like, uh, I remember it, and I'm
just your friend working together, and I'm like, I think
I'd flip.

Speaker 7 (34:50):
Out if that was one of my kids, right, But
then I realized this is how people meet now, And
what do you like if she met somebody on Tinder
also a stranger also like just because they lived down
the street, like what you know? Anyway, so they and
they had been talking and facetiming and stuff like that
for months, so like.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
I was like, now, so so fast forward. It was
a few months later.

Speaker 7 (35:12):
He's been here three times. He's coming back today. One
of the visits here to get this Caleb. Who's how old?
Twenty twenty one.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
He's got a full mustache, he's a groan, he's a
man button man.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Right.

Speaker 9 (35:26):
He brings his grandma.

Speaker 7 (35:28):
Yeah, grandma comes and so the first time because grandma
was worried about him.

Speaker 9 (35:32):
Yeah, well that's sweet. That shows he's from a good family.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
But what's funny is you're pulling up at your house
and another car is pulling up at the house.

Speaker 9 (35:40):
It was an uber.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
Yeah, and Grandma ubered from the hotel's Bethany's house.

Speaker 7 (35:46):
Yeah, she was walking up my front steps when I
pulled up. I was like, who's this woman?

Speaker 2 (35:51):
And she introduces herself as I'm Caleb's grandma. Huh, welcome,
welcome to my home.

Speaker 5 (35:57):
Yeah, so you had her in and you said she was,
Oh yeah, the whole family's great, right.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
And then Madeline has now been to San Diego to
visit his family. Oh yeah, I didn't know she went
out there too. This time. This time when he's coming,
they're gonna look at apartments.

Speaker 15 (36:12):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 9 (36:13):
We have a visitor or guest here in the Morning
show this morning.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Just drop.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
Mark Marquez is in our sales department. He's just coming
in to kind of get to know us. And you know,
he's learning about the Michael Jay and Bethany Old Morning
experience And.

Speaker 9 (36:26):
Uh, what do you think about that? Marquees.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
Can you imagine you have a kid someday and they
hook up on a video game and next thing, you know,
the whole family's coming to visit.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Honestly, like Bethany said, that's just how people meet these
days sometimes, right, you gotta be safe and grandma coming.

Speaker 9 (36:44):
That was very sweet. Yeah you heard me, I said, Oh, yeah,
that was sweet. As long as everyone's safe. You never
know who you're meeting online.

Speaker 7 (36:50):
But you know, and I talked to the family on
the FaceTime before he came. Okay, you know this kind
of thing like just I don't know, it's cute. He's
very sweet, he's good to Madeline. The reason, what more
do you want?

Speaker 5 (37:02):
The reason we give you this backstory, yeah, is he's
arriving again this afternoon today and I am picking him
up at the airport.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Wait a minute, why isn't Madeline picking them? She is
a test.

Speaker 9 (37:11):
Oh she's at school.

Speaker 7 (37:13):
Everyone's getting what they need to do, done right, She's
still in school.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
He's graduating, and then he's gonna come here.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Amarently I'm concerned, Well, not concerned, that's the wrong word.
I'm starting to sniff out the seriousness of this relationship,
and I think maybe it's about to go to a
new level.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
No, No, we're not gonna we're going to cross that bridge.

Speaker 9 (37:35):
I mean at some point.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
Here's what's going to happen though, the next step is
they're going to move in again.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (37:40):
I mean they're gonna look for apartments, like he wants
to move here after college, so and how much more
college does he have? I think he graduates so yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
You know, Marcus, he's thinking he's coming here and he's
moving in with them. He's going to be living in
your house before you know it. I predict within six months,
you're gonna have another kid.

Speaker 9 (37:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (37:57):
They're gonna take one look at the rent and be like, mommy, exactly.

Speaker 9 (38:03):
They're not getting an apartment.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
They're getting my basement exactly.

Speaker 9 (38:07):
The idea of an apartment.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Yeah, it sounds crazy.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
Yeah, apartment sounds great, so amazing until it's until you
have to pay eighteen a month and then it's like, uh,
you know, and then it's gonna be your mom.

Speaker 9 (38:17):
What it wants.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
That basement of yours looks very nice, cozy. All right,
we're gonna get to our hot seat.

Speaker 9 (38:22):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
Ninth caller eight hundred and three two one thirty six

weeks or five minutes would have king be two.

Speaker 9 (38:44):

Speaker 5 (39:17):

Speaker 9 (39:21):
Very important? We like to spread it all.

Speaker 11 (39:22):
Yeah, the first time I've been able to get through
the line.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (39:45):
What's going on, Brittany, it really is your lucky day
because you don't even have to answer the questions today.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
We're going to make Marquez do it.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
Okay, we have a special guest here in the out
of control room. He's going to be working in our
sales department. He's getting to know us a little bit better,
and he's going to represent you.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Now Here comes the risk, Brittany.

Speaker 7 (40:04):
If Marquees messes this up, you lose, So you better
cheer him on. Okay, yeah, I won't Brittany anything anything.

Speaker 5 (40:15):
You want to say to Marquez before he starts and
represents you. You got it.

Speaker 11 (40:22):
My first time calling into the show, so you know
you gotta do it for me.

Speaker 9 (40:26):
It's my first time on the show. So the same boat.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
And just so Marquez knows the deal.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
When you are asked the question, the moment Bethany completes
asking the question, you will hear and if you don't
get your you gotta get your answer before the buzz
are god.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Okay, three questions, three seconds to answer each.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
If you get buzzed, Brittany gets nothing, so that's not good.
You gotta be snappy, okay, all right, quick.

Speaker 9 (40:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (40:54):
Question number one, what is the best gas station snack?

Speaker 15 (41:00):

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Okay, how do you feel, Brittany?

Speaker 9 (41:04):

with a different liquid, which liquid would you pick?

I love ginger ell. Yeah, that's wrong with that, Rainey,
I have ginger all. That's how it came to ahad.

Speaker 2 (41:29):

of your body?

Speaker 4 (41:42):

Speaker 9 (41:43):
