stories that makes you click and then you're like, eh,

(04:22):
was it really worth the click? The headline, listen to this,
tell me if you think this is a clickbait. Lany
Wilson admits that she was lying to fiance on first
date with him. There's a lot of talk about Lanny
Wilson because she's rumored to be getting married any minute,
like maybe this weekend.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Oh step Matt. Rumor has been going around like a year.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Well, here's the clickbait. I just mentioned that she supposedly
lied to Doc. Yeah, on their first date. She said,
this is a quote, Laney says, quote on our first date,
I did tell a little fib. I told him that
people call me goose. She wanted a name since he
was duck. Oh, She's like, well they call me goose.
He was. She's she said I was lying, but he

(05:06):
fell for it. I think he was like, oh, I'm
in love. He apparently said I was in love. He
said he was in love the first date.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Okay, here's the question.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah, how many people don't lie on a first date?
I think about something? Yeah, exactly, all right, Well I'm
not lying about this third and final story in the
Music City Minute, there is a really great new prequel

me a little about forty five seconds snipping here we.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
You can see you dancing to this.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Don't having come on?

Speaker 7 (06:04):

Schools come up again in this story this week. The
federal government has gotten out of the school business. Basically,
they want all education to go back to the States,
and so because of that, they got rid of their

(07:08):
Blue ribbon accommodations where they would give out blue ribbons
to schools that did a great.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Job, high performing.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah, exactly, So there's no more federal blue ribbons. But
the governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, said, well, we're going
to reinstate it. So because they had stopped before the
pandemic with the Blue Ribbons. Well they brought it back. Okay,
and Blue Ribbon Awards for twenty twenty five have been announced,
and I just wanted to share with these the schools.

(07:36):
I think we got to give them a shout out. Sure,
Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Okay, that is now a Blue Ribbon
school in Baltimore City, fantastic. Stoneleigh Elementary School in Baltimore
County is a Blue Ribbon school. Diamond Elementary and Wilson
Whims Elementary, both in Montgomery County are Blue Ribbons. Myersville

(07:57):
Elementary School in Frederick County and Sint Lewis School run
by the Archdiocese of Baltimore and Little Flower School run
by the Archdiocese of Washington. So they're all the Blue Ribbons.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
And that's a cute name, Little Flowers.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Little Well, there's a Little Flower in Blair Road too.
Oh really, I was christened at Little Flower, so that's cute.
Especially my parents were married at that Little Flower. That
was like the neighborhood church that you know if you
lived Blair and Erdmann of that, you know in East Baltimore.
It was Little Flower that's what it's called. It's cute.
All right. Well, look we've got our hot seat. I

(08:34):
know people are exciting because the lines are already blinking.
Everybody wants to win. Yeah, you have your questions ready,
of course I do. Are they hot? I mean it
is the hot seat? One of them's all right, spicy
eight hundred three two one thirty six ninety three.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Hell, it's fim.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
Just Haley.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Drown myselves.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
But let it just a little Bethany like a little flower.
All right, we got plenty of good news. We've got
a one hundred dollars Conrad's gift card, and we're getting
our timers set there, the timers ready, and we're ready

(09:27):
with the hot seat. Everything is good to go. Now, Woody,
let me let me let you know something here. You're
gonna have to answer these questions from Ms Bethany in
and you know time of the buzzer. You got to
beat the buzzer. If you don't, we've got people standing
by behind you. We'll have to move along to all right.
Oh yeah, that's what I'm saying. If you want to

(09:49):
win one at Conrad's restaurant, they have delicious crabs. I
just added myself about a week or so ago. So
here we go, Woodie. Three questions, Bethany take it away?
What he Question number one?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
What is something you've always wanted to try but you
never have?

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Ride Davis?

Speaker 7 (10:11):
Michael Oh?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
He said he was saying, ride a Harley Davidson like
Michael j Oh, you've never ridden a Harley.

Speaker 8 (10:19):
Written number bike Harley.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
All right, Well, if you know how to ride a motorcycle,
you can go over to Baltimore Harley on Roote forty
and talk to them. Then they can probably give you
a bike to take out.

Speaker 7 (10:32):
Sounds good.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
All right, there's question number one. He got it in
before the buzzer. So let's go.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Question number two, Woody. How many alarms do you need
to set to wake yourself up?

Speaker 9 (10:44):
No?

Speaker 8 (10:45):
I'm an early riser.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I'm always up before anything goes off. Dang, you don't
use any alarm? What man, You're amazing For ten years.

Speaker 8 (10:53):

Speaker 7 (10:59):
He gets me up.

Speaker 8 (11:00):
I'm up early on weekend.

Speaker 5 (11:01):

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Do you like that or do you hate that?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
No?

Speaker 8 (11:07):
I got your show and it's Okay, I don't like it,
but I'm got.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, every morning. I like doing the afternoon show here
for all those years. But you know, you gotta get up.
You gotta get up, right. What's your up? You're up?

Speaker 3 (11:20):
How many alarms do you use?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Michael?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I have two?

Speaker 3 (11:23):
I have to also.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah, all right, one more question for Woody. Here's where
it gets a little naughty. Be honest. Have you ever
hooked up with a coworker? He said no, he said nope.
He said nope. Sound to me like nope, But I'm

(11:44):
sticking with it. That's my story. What is that You
saw five bump chops together for the same company, but
he wasn't married, but we were coworkers.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Were you canodling?

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (12:00):
I think they were oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah,
oh yeah. Loving a dump truck yeah, oh my god.
And she would say, hey, I love your dump right back, that.

Speaker 3 (12:13):

Speaker 2 (12:21):
He's got a little extra in the in the trunk.

just won a one hundred dollars Conrad's Crabs gift card.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Turned a hundred into.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Asking what's the secret love? He looked up from his
old pa.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Left to say it all to say.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Ninety three point one WPOC, Michael j and Bethanie. It
was out last night, just grabbing a quick bite with
my wife and I said to her, said, Cheryl, do
you realize Christmas is twelve weeks away?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Soon?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
It's coming? And Laura, what are you.

Speaker 7 (13:40):
Doing starting Christmas shopping already?

Speaker 9 (13:43):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I was just talking to my wife about that last night.
We got to start planning. How do you handle that?
You start Christmas shopping right now? Right?

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (13:53):
So I asked my kids, like for a list. They
start their list in September and then like by Oxcar
refers on like stopping a little bit by a little bit,
because like I feel like everything's so expensive now, Like
I love to break it up like each kay chap.
So it's really nice to do it that way because
I'm like, Okay, well this week I'm going to get this,
and this week I'm going to get this, and then

(14:14):
I kind of just dash it away and then I'm
not rusting around like a crazy person.

Speaker 7 (14:18):
When Christmas gets here, you know what, You're one.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Hundred percent right, and you can find better deals that
way because you wait until it's really the best you know, moment. Yeah,
if there's if there are deals, So what what do
you without getting too personal, like just to get an idea,
how many kids do you have?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I have two?

Speaker 2 (14:37):
And how old are they?

Speaker 8 (14:41):
I have a ten year old and a seven year old?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
And what would your approximate budget be? Like how do
you figure that all out?

Speaker 7 (14:48):
So I really that's the bad.

Speaker 8 (14:51):
Thing is because then I don't have I don't go
like extreme, but I want to stay like.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
I get one huge gift, so they want electric scooters
this year, and then.

Speaker 8 (15:03):
The rest of the things are like small like fill
ins for like your stocking, and.

Speaker 7 (15:09):
I feel like I get a more meaningful things that.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
They're going to use and not just like all the
little knickknacks and toys and things like that. Like we
like to do experiences, like we'll do.

Speaker 7 (15:18):
Like an aquarium trip for we'll go to the zoo,
or we go camping.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
You know, so.

Speaker 7 (15:27):
I try to do that but I don't even know.
I guess I shouldn't have a budget, but I feel
like I don't.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
You don't have that, I just wondered.

Speaker 7 (15:36):
Yeah, I feel like maybe a thousand each kid.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, oh, okay, have you heard the all said and done?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
That thing that's like something to read?

Speaker 7 (15:46):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Something to read, something to wear, something to Oh, I
guess I wish I could remember. It's like a way
to buy gifts for kids, the four it's the four
gift rule.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Something I have.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
Yeah. So like I feel like, of course they always
get like some clothes, and like they're usually like I
feel like there's like one big gift they both want,
so like that's the more extensive gifts and then the
rest is just like fillers.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
We have family that always goes through and like I
don't want to go too over the.

Speaker 8 (16:21):
Top because then I feel like they don't appreciate it.
And then they're like they go through it, and then
they're like, Okay, what's next.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
And I'm like, no, right, oh okay, something to read,
something to wear, something I need, something I want.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
So okay, that's a good like frame framework.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, I guess, yeah, I guyeah, that is. I just
think listening to you kind of go through it. It's
it's amazing how much we all have the same thoughts
and how we all kind of work our way through
getting ready for Christmas.

Speaker 8 (16:51):
You know, yeah, yeah, you have to start. I mean,
I guess you can start whenever you want, but if
you don't want to be super stressed max and.

Speaker 7 (17:00):
Just enjoy the season, it's probably done.

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Start early.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Well, thank you for sharing all that with us. We
really appreciate you, and thanks for listening.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
You're delightful, Lura, thank you.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
I'm three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
I guess I have to start planning for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Christmas Day was twelve weeks from yesterday. We're eleven weeks
and six days. How many were sleeps? Is that you
gotta start figures out all right now?

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Maybe tomorrow? Okay.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
So Philadelphia Road northbound at Riverside Parkway closed right now
due to some emergency utility repairs.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
There is an accident. I'm pairing parkway at Eccudale Avenue.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
Looks like the accident on the interloop at Southwestern has
been moved to the left shoulder. Still battling an accident
