Yeah, you know, I love when when musical artist of
all genres kind of reach out and get involved in
things that he would be surprised about. Taylor Swift is
on everybody's mind. She was on that podcast last night
with Travis Kelcey and what.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Was she talking about? In addition to her music, she
apparently bakes a lot. This hours taken over my life
in a huge way. I'm really talking about bread sixty
percent at the time. It's become did you know she
was into sour dough bread. It's become a huge, huge factor.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
I mean, and she's getting good with making all these
different versions of it.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Oh yeah, my favorite one was probably I mean, the

Summer Brothers Osbourne? Oh that is a long dig that
one up. Someone said, uh, Boys of Fall.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
From Kenny Chesney. That's the one. That's a really good one.
That's a good one. Uh.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
And then someone said, I know it's not country But
what about Cruel Summer by Banana Rama.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Banana Rama, Let's see what is Banana Rama sounding like
the these days?
Speaker 5 (11:03):
My gosh, that was a long, long time ago. Somebody
else said Phil Collins. Yeah, You'll be in my heart.
(11:25):
That's a sweet song.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
But I gotta tell you, maybe I'm biased, but there's
nothing like a country song to remind you of summertime.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
How about this one.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
A good throwback summer ending song would be Beat This
Summer by Brad Paisley.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Let me see Beat this Summer. I love this live radio.
We're gonna see. Oh you know what you look at that?
Speaker 1 (11:46):

songs throwbacks on Throwback Thursday to remind you of the
end of summer, beginning of fall. Here at ninety three

with that, Brad Paisley.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Oh, it was Caitlyn And she said she's the mental
health specialist that works at the Naval Academy in Annapolis.

up summer here in Baltimore every Yeah, it's the State Fair.
And I'm surprised that some of the winners this week
have told us they've never been to the State Fair before.
It's time. You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Yeah, if you have not walked the midway and smelled
the smell of not only the fair food, because you
do get a waft of that, but you also have
a waft from the bar the cow Palace. I think
it's fascinating when you see like the four h type
and that's going on.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
So many people put so much hard work into getting
to the fair every year.
Speaker 5 (13:54):
It is so sweet. It's really incredible.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
The cows and the sheep and the goats and all
of it.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
It really is fascinating. And Maryland we've got you know,
five five counties right around Baltimore. We have farms. In
Carroll County we.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Have farms, oh yeah, and you know, it's it's such
a big part of our community. It's really nice that
you can actually see it. Because there are people who
never go to a farm, you know what I mean,
that that would never be exposed to that. So the
Maryland State Fair is your chance and long way around
the barn here. But I just wanted to mention all
this because it's seven o five. We're going to send
(14:29):
your family to the Maryland State Fair, all right?
Speaker 7 (14:31):

Speaker 4 (25:11):
And Bethany. I know you're getting ready for the back
to school shopping trip. Yeah, and you're excited about it.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah, Turner, Like Madeline, I kind of am letting her
go on her own because she's going to she's in college, she's.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
Got a job, like you don't want to be a
part of that. I'll go with her, but I mean,
I'm not gonna like it's on you now, No.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
No, I know that, but I'm just like, uh, my
wife is still like hanging on to like she wants
to be a part of what Hope's doing, you know,
going back to college and stuff.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
Oh yeah, I mean like I'll be a part of it,
but I won't be the leader, you know what I mean,
you gotta, you gotta. I'll be the follower.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Give him some room, that's right, right, But Turner, uh,
he's gonna be a sophomore in high school, right, so
he wants to wear exclusively sweats.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
And crocs.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
I mean these new sweats because he said the old ones,
the old ones aren't gonna do They're not gonna cut,
They're not gonna do it, even though.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
I feel they look exactly the same as the new ones.
But that's fine. I think there's a feeling of difference though.
It's like, you know, you've got to feeling your pride. Yeah,
if we can make him feel confident in his sweatpants,
then that's you.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Do you remember when you went back to school, was
there something you had to be rocking. Was it a
particular pair of sneakers, was it a certain backpack? You know?
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, I think you know, I grew up in like
a really really small town. There wasn't the nearest mall
was like an hour away, so like there wasn't a
long of like fashion.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Well it used to be like that here too, and
it's I mean, yeah, like the Eastern Shore didn't used
to have malls and stuff, and you know, the outlets
and and all the stores and stuff and just there's
definitely everything's more homogeneous, you know what I mean across
the country now.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Yeah, Like I remember going to college and like I
saw a girl with like Chanelle earrings for the first time,
and I was like, what what are these?
Speaker 5 (27:07):
What google it?
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I was like one of these seas that everyone's wearing.
Like that's how like out of touch like I was
when I was growing up. So I don't know if
it was the same for me that it is now
or near a city, you.
Speaker 7 (27:20):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
But so is it overwhelming taking you know, your son
back and like you know, I know he's just want
looking for sweatpants, but I.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Mean, yeah, it's different for him. It was it was
with Madeline when she was in school. You know, I
think girls are sometimes a little bit different. He's like
just so low maintenance. He's like, I don't care, probably
should get a haircut.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
Like you know, like, yeah, I love it. He makes
it really easy. All right, Crocs? Does he still wear those? Yeah? Yeah,
god CROs got to have the crocs.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Yeah, all right, he's got Batman crocs that he likes,
bright pink ones that he loves really but then and
then and he wears like one black.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
One and one white one. Yeah, Oh my gosh, I
think that's I thought my kid was the only one
that had like odd socks that was like.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
A whole thing that neither one of them metal and
or turner where like matching socks or whatever.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
And it dries.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
It kind of does drive me a little, the whole thing,
isn't It does drive me little nuts. But uh so
you're you just have one back to school.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Yeah, I've got one going to college. Actually two in college.
But I don't forget for no, it doesn't seem as
much like the back to school thing is a big deal,
you know what I mean, Like, yeah, we're just trying
to get him in school, and like you know could
you go? Yeah, that would be great and Hope is
very excited. Uh, and it's all the back to school
stuff that what do you need for the room? You
(28:45):
know what I mean? Like certain lamp, I don't know
all the cat fun dorm room decorating, that's always a
big deal. That is a big deal. So I've seen that.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Does does anybody around here do the painting of the
of the dorm? No, of the parking space? I'm seeing
this online a lot where you like, you get like
a parking spot at school, right and you're allowed to
paint it?
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Oh wow?
Speaker 1 (29:11):
The does seniors do it? And I don't know if
anybody locally is doing because I keep seeing it on
my feed.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah, I think high schools have done that for the
seniors when you're graduate.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
I'd like to go look because I think that's so
you know what I mean, Like, I think it's so fun.
So if you have somebody in your school that's doing
the painting of the of the parking lot, I'd love
to see it.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Let us know where it is.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Seven seven nine six two you can text her eight
hundred and three two one thirty six ninety three. And
how are things going with your family back to school?
Speaker 5 (29:35):
Yeah, what's going on? What's your shopping situation? I can't
believe we're talking about back to school. You know, it's
like gonna be here soon. It's right around the corner.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Shout out, teachers, You're about to be back in the classroom.

It's like we haven't heard from him for at least
twenty minutes. He has got so many hits going right now.
I literally can't keep track of him, right, I really can't.
I mean it's great because I love Morgan Wallen. His
show is like it's electric. If you haven't had a
(30:31):
chance to see him at one of these stadium shows.
When he does, I mean, it's it's something else. But
remember the days when artists would just release.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
Like one song.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
He's got so many songs on his album, yeah, and
everybody wants to hear all of them. So we're happy
to give him to you here on ninety three point
one w DPOC, Michael Jay and Bethany we're talking about
back to school.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Sandy says, my son is starting his second year of
college and getting ready to move back into the dorm,
so that's pretty easy. Uh. And then my daughter's going
into fourth grade, but she's a school uniform, so that
makes it easy.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
So Sandy's not feeling the crunch over there. That's great.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
You know a lot of people who have the blessing
of their kids at a school where they have a
uniform say, it's not only easier, but it's a little
bit cheaper.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yeah, but a lot of the stores run deals on
uniform type clothing, right, and that's really nice.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
And tax free Week is going on I think through tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Right through Sunday into Sunday, so it's going on for
the rest of the week at least a couple more days.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
You ought to take advantage of that while you can.
Even the Orioles put up. I just saw a big
ad for them.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
They are advertising you can buy Oriole game tickets with
tax free Week.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
What they are Orioles get it together ninety.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
Three point one POC traffic.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Everybody's trying to take advantage of back to school and
tax free Week.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Okay, so even the O's I didn't know that you
could do that, but all right, let's do it. On
the Inn Loop at BW Parkway, there's an accident. Things
are stopping and go back to Camp Meade Road. The
accident on B TOW Parkway northbound at one ninety eight
has cleared, but things are still stop and go. We're
a little bit slow before both tunnels and then on
the outer loop between Ballet Road and Providence Road.
