lead story today, all right? Should it be something real
going on in the world or should it be the
overnight announce of Taylor Swift's new album unclear. She's announcing
a new album, Life of a show Girl, overnight at
the strike of twelve minutes after midnight Okay Reveal revealed
(00:57):

You may pre order the vinyl and cassette copies right now,
as well as a Showgirl poster.
Speaker 1 (01:05):

won't believe what else she's up to.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
She's going to be on the New Heights podcast. Yeah,
to talk about it and reveal the artwork.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
I wonder if she's gonna be revealing an engagement, That's
what I'm wondering.
Speaker 6 (01:19):
Mm.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I don't think she would dumb down her work with
talk of an engagement.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Really. Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Okay, Okay, So in DC, President Trump announced he's placing
police in Washington, d C. Under federal control in deploying
the National Guard troops as part of a crackdown on
violent crime.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
A second person has died and ten others were injured
after an explosion tore through a Pennsylvania steel plant yesterday
just outside of Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
The cause of the blast is yet to be confirmed
and investigation is underway. Seems like Tropical Storm Aaron could
be the first hurricane of the twenty twenty five Atlantic
hurricane season. I saw PSA online yesterday trying to remind
Baltimore that it is pronounced erin, not earn.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
What do you mean on? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
And lastly, congrats to the Michael Jordan Fishing Experience Catch
twenty two. They scored big on Saturday with a seventy
one pound white marlin and second place in another category.
Their total prize was just shy of three point nine
million dollars.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
What about the guy who was from Timonium. Yeah, he
won a different category one point two million. Yeah, it
was a good payday. His first first.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Fishing trip in the in the Classic. So that's pretty cool.
That thing weighed nine hundred and forty nine pounds.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I think, how do you even reel that in?
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Well, you strap yourself to the chair, you get two
or three guys going, you have some very heavy test
line and you pull.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I guess it's like the old Man in the sea.
Speaker 7 (03:01):
Yes, it is ninety three point one WPOC Traffic.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Drew Osmeyer, by the way, is the gentleman from Timonium
who won.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, congratulations Drue uh And Emerald Agassi was there. I
love it.
Speaker 1 (03:14):

that day.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
AI right.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Speaking of big expensive tournaments, the BMW Championship Golf Tournament

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Good morning, Michael j and Bethany.

Michael Jay's Music City Minute in sixty seconds.
Speaker 7 (03:43):
If you don't know, like you own music.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Row Now at the top of the hour, Bethany had
her brief and you had the story about Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, there's one thing I wanted to add.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
So here's Taylor at twelve twelve this morning making the
big announcement, this is.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
My brand new album, The Life of a show Girl.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
She is the Kelsey Brothers very excited about it. Yes,
So here's what I wanted to add. The theme of
the album. She's got two colors, orange and green. Neither
are Kansas City Chief colors, but orange the Orioles color.
So is Taylor giving us a shout out? I'm gonna
(04:24):
say sure, Maybe she's a closeted Orioles man.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Sure, I'm gonna say.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Hey, I love all this just and Taylor's have said,
why did you blow up the team in charge?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Everybody more for tickets?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Well, at least she's going with orange and she's gone
with green. As in Riley Green who had to intervene
in a fight at his show in Florida. Riley Green
was performing Toby Keat's Courtesy of the Red, White, and
Blue and two women got into it was there was
a fight. They were slapping each other, pulling each other's air.
(04:57):
He stepped in and he said, listen, we got a
se can you wait to fight till after this patriotic
song is over.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
He's like, don't fight during a patriotic song. Okay.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
So anyway, at the end, he joked that he feels
like he's a parent at his Show's occasionally kind to
straighten the kids out. And speaking of kids, Keith Urban
and Nicole Kidman's daughter, Sunday Rose, hated this rule.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Are you ready for this? Huh?
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Sunday Rose kid Urban Urban revealed the major rule her parents,
Nicole and Keith set before she could start her modeling career.
They told her that she could not explore any fashion
work until she turned sixteen.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
She's like, why do I have to wait? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Oh, she was rebelling anyway, Now she says, I think
it was probably a good idea.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh okay, you know.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
But looking back, but she was really they thought about
it apparently, I bet you.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Know she wanted a model. So there you go. That
is your Music City minute.

There by now. I'm just taking a little detour.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
I got to fill up my gas tank and I
know this place a couple times over where the gas
is cheaper.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Are you serious We're gonna be late for the concert
because you're driving out of the way for cheaper gas.
Just use upside. What's upside upside is the free cash back.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Ninety three point one WPOC. So Michael J and Bethany
was you were delivering pizza?
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Yeah, when I was seventeen and I was on my
way back to the pizza place. They had their own car, okay,
And so when you delivered pizzas, you were in their
car the way that they had it set up, and
I was on my way back to the restaurant to
get more pizzas to deliver, and it was.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Raining in the car in front of me. I feel
like their break lates.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Were a little dim and humble opinion, right, I smashed them.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Oh and then you had to go to the hospital.
I did have to go.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Fortunately you were okay, fine, Yeah, okay, they just had
to They wanted to check me name.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
But your mistake at work has kind of spurred this conversation,
and it turns out you're not the only one who
had a problem with a vehicle at work. A really
good friend of mine I was thinking of right away
when you mentioned that story, Denise, you popped in my head.
So so you've Denise, You've worked for so many amazing
(08:23):
you know music companies, record companies, radio stations, And all
I can do is flashback to when you and I
worked together here in Baltimore and we had a car,
a Camaro. Weren't we supposed to give it away eventually?
Speaker 6 (08:37):
Well, it was a beautiful brand new Camaro that they've
just redesigned, and we stuck a bunch of Q one
five stickers on it, right, and that I would drive
it to different locations and the people had to guess
the amouly stickers that were on a Camaro, right, and
then after like two or three months, we would draw
(08:59):
all the winner out of all the corrects.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
So one day you were driving and can you take me?
I wasn't in the car at the time, so if
you could kind of like take me through what you remember,
it was a long time ago, of course.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Okay, So I'm driving the car and I'm that in
intersection and there's a giant eighteen wheeler parked in front
of me. So the light apparently turns green and the
truck goes through. It was the only car or truck
in front of me. Okay, Well, I couldn't see the
light and it had already turned back to red, and
I was in the middle of the intersection and a
(09:34):
guy came through and just nailed me. Oh my god,
right into the new car.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Oh. And this was like way before air bags and everything.
You didn't get hurt or anything, is I remember correct?
Speaker 1 (09:47):
I didn't.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
And it was also before they had lights on the
sides where they just had him hanging from the top,
so there's no way I could have seen that.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Light, right, I see what you're saying, But.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
I thought about it once you were telling me to
do the story. I didn't get a ticket. I didn't
get in trucks on my insurance. So I don't know
what our boss strings Peo pulled, but I didn't get
in trouble.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Well, I remember when you came back, there was we
were both kind of concerned, like you know, Carl Brenner
was the owner of the radio station, and he was
actually at the at the station. Did you have to
tell him or do you have to go to to
Wayland the program director.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
I believe I told him, right, I made a phone call.
They all came out to the slash site.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Oh they did.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
Miss Marlin was his assistant, and Carl right, and then
the guys from the dealership came. It was a big deal.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
So when you think back on your you've had quite
a career in music and records and everything. Is this still, uh,
you know, at the top of your list of biggest
You know. I hate to call it a mistake because
you know what I mean, we all you know what
I'm saying. Crisis maybe is a better way to put it.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
It definitely was on the top ten top ten.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
That only makes the top ten? What is number.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Oh damn girl, So what would you say is number
one if you had to pick up a number one?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
If this isn't number one?
Speaker 6 (11:26):
I let an unruly fand into a meet and greet
for Mark testnut Right, and they took sharpies and wrote
on his bush?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Are you kidding me? Inside or now?
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Outside? I approved that they could go back, So I
got in trouble for that.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
What were they doing writing on his bus? Were they
like autographing it or what were they doing?
Speaker 6 (11:50):
I think they were just drunk.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Oh my god, nothing like some drunk hillbillies with sharpies happen.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
And that's all I can tell you that is actually
still legal.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Oh my gosh. Wow.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Well, the tailgate that I'll never forget with you was
on Toby Keat's bus, and I'm pretty sure that was
That was the last time I was with Toby too
before we lost him, and I will never forget.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
I will never forget that.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Anyway, It is great catching up with you and I
love you and thanks for reliving that moment with.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Love you too with a Q.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
One five camaro. Oh my god, So we didn't give anything?
Did we give a car away then?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Or did was that? It?
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Was? It just we got that car six?
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Hold on for a second.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Hold on, not only was it a used car, it
was a it was a car after the accident.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
And we gave it away.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
Yes, we do, we got it.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
No wonder that radio station doesn't exist anymore. Oh that's funny. Hi,
there you go. Mistakes made up on the job, now
can you top back?
Speaker 4 (13:03):

Speaker 1 (13:09):
A few guess thought they were pretty smart that you do.
Speaker 9 (13:17):

Speaker 7 (13:17):
Don't impress me?
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Ninety three point one wdpoc So Bethany Michael j. The
two of us reminiscing about things that we've done that
have gone poorly.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Big mistakes at work.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Sometimes when we make little mistakes here, like on the
board or playing the wrong song, or like I'm always like,
oh my god, Like there are people out here life
and death, Like what if they make little mistakes?
Speaker 1 (13:43):
You know what I mean? Listen, listen to this one.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
I dropped a whole palette of mayonnaise from the tippy
top of the rack in the warehouse. It slid off
my forklift. I lost my certification. He's lucky didn't He's
lucky didn't kill somebody heavy. Yeah, it is big jars
of it seven seven nine six two. Start with hay
or high text in what is the biggest mistake you've
(14:08):
ever made on the jobs? See, I'll never change just
to go around town with some gasoline.
Speaker 10 (14:14):
Just trying to bomb fang, gonna borron the whole place down.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
How do you explain if a filling.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
In a little bit a guy like me in the
first place, I'm trying to round say that I'm the
worst thing. I guess I'm the problem and your miss
never do knowing wrong?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
If fund the cop, did you mind me the reason?
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Morgan Walling, Well, there's lots of problems people were having
from mistakes at work.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
It sounds like, oh my gosh, I used to work
at a steakhouse in colleg Right, and I was carrying
one of those big trays with the they stacked the
dinners on them. I must have had I'm gonna say
probably one hundred and fifty dollars worth of like t bones.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
I have a feeling it all hit the floor.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
I slipped and fell in the kitchen and the whole
tray of tea bones.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Fell on top of me. Did you try to wash
them off? Or I just laid there and cried. I
wasn't hurt or anything. I just was like, oh, oh
my gosh, I had beef juice.
Speaker 9 (15:28):
Ever so.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'm trying to picture you.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
I mean it's exactly like looking all cute covered with beef.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Oh yeah. So we had to wear tie oh joo everywhere.
It was everywhere. It was like in my bra I
was like, I have to go home.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Well, listen, there's quite a few coming in here. We
wanted to share. On ninety three point one WPOC not
a massive mistake, someone writes, who wants to be anonymous?
I mean, you can give your name, it says, but
I still cringe about this.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Today.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
I accidentally hit my vape while I was on video
call with the client. We rarely, we rarely do video calls,
so I wasn't used to it, and that was multitasking
in the background, so I wasn't even looking at my thumbnail.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Big oops. Oh well, you know you gotta hit your
vape once in a while.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Especially on a client call.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
I don't know which is funnier the you and OJU
were this guy catching a buzz.
Speaker 10 (16:35):
New trucks big lift, oh roads weep in turn up
since way back when these wheels are in US and
new hitch new siets, no hitch story and you just
can't fake that. So let's change that, girl. Let's go
put some miles on the back of the shady with
the engine running, just you and me and a truck
(16:57):
bed while like a California can't We could break it
in if you know what I mean. Put the.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Back the.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
League tiboy POC Saturday in the country. Can't wait two
weeks from Saturday. We're laughing because we're getting so many comments.
Eight hundred and three two one thirty six ninety three
to be on the phone and in the air, you
can also tax seven seven nine six two biggest mistake
you ever made? It work while I was working at
(17:31):
a bank. Bethany listened to this one. While I was
working at a bank, I mistakenly wired ten million dollars
to First Bank Houston instead of First City Bank Houston.
Of course it was a three day weekend too, cost
seven thousand dollars in lost interest. WHOA, they got the
money back, but you know, ten million dollars just sitting
(17:52):
in someplace.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Wait, they're lucky they got the money back. They're lucky
they still had the job. Okay, shout out Sue. Okay.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Sue was in the Navy worked on communications equipment and
one day she was rewiring a recorder and she weired
it backwards and then she plugged it in and an
arc of electricity went from the recorder to the metal
work bench.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Oh so that could have been bad. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Then this one's funny. I started working for a company
and it was right before Thanksgiving. The owner got us
all turkeys, and I was carrying the frozen turkey out
of the building to take to my employees at another building,
and the door bounced back and the turkey hit the
glass door and shattered the I thought I was gonna
(18:37):
get fired, Oh my god. But instead I just became
the door girl for all the next eight years.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
Oh, oh my god, the turkey huh.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
I worked for a mailing company when I was nineteen.
I merged the wrong client list and printed one hundred
thousand pieces of mail that went all to the wrong people.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Oh my god, I got fired. I bat some big
mistakes at work.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
How about this one uploaded Canadian prices in CAAD, which
I guess is Canadian symbol instead of USD for US dollars.
So they uploaded in Canadian and they should have done
it in US, but they didn't know. The system corrected,
so it cost the company five hundred thousand dollars. Didn't
(19:18):
catch it for months. I got fired. Oh that's just horrible.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
Ninety three point one WPOC traffic.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Makes what we mess up seem inconsequential.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Well, it's always like when you're having a really stressful day,
like why whatever you do, Like.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
There's that's one of the worst feelings though, when you
really mess up at work, you're like.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Oh my god, oh shoot, I'm like.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
You know what I mean that feeling in your study?
Do you feel that in your stomach?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:48):
And I can't imagine how it would feel if like
you know, like you life for death right, like there
are people out there with life for death jobs you know.
Okay ninety five step on it three ninety five and
accident cleared. Things are stopping. Go back to fifty nine
and then on eight ninety five before the Harper Tunnel
went backed up about five or ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (20:06):

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Bethany is bree all the things you need to know
to get your day started.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Even the Empire State Building was all in on the
Taylor Swift teas last night. Ahead of her New Heights
podcast promo. Taylor announced that she's going to release her
twelfth studio album right the strike of twelve minutes after
twelve o'clock last night, and the Empire State Building lit
(21:13):
up in all orange and notice and.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
By the way, that's Oriole's orange. And notice that today
is August twelfth, of course, and tomorrow is her lucky day,
the thirteenth.
Speaker 1 (21:23):

a Showgirl on vinyl or cassettes, okay, with a poster.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Orange of course is the color that she's using. But

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Do we still have cassette players?
Speaker 6 (21:41):
All right? Or?
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
So President Trump announced he's placing DC under federal control
and deploying National Guard troops as part of a crackdown
on violent crime. He did a press conference yesterday. If
you want to get a breakdown of it, it's the internet. Boy,
this is something interesting. All of the influencers trying to
(22:06):
break down that press conference history unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Like just where you get your news? Like think about it?
Do you know what I mean? Right? Not from an influencer, but.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
They're all like doing conspiracy and I'm like, oh boy,
what is news anymore?
Speaker 4 (22:23):
You know?
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
A second person died and ten others are injured after
an explosion tore through a Pennsylvania steel plant yesterday just
outside of Pittsburgh. Cause of the blast is unknown and
investigations underway. Tropical Storm Erin is in the Atlantic and
could be the first hurricane of twenty twenty five. And lastly,
do you have sleep apnea because some relief could come
(22:48):
from an unusual source. Okay, there's a new study that
says that blowing into a conk shell every day for
several months could relieve your symptoms.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Oh wow, I was I knew you could hear the
ocean in a conck just now you got to just blow. Now,
you blow into.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
It and then next thing, you know, could be cure
to your sleep atman, how is the cock going to
feel about this ninety.
Speaker 7 (23:12):
Three point one WPOC traffic?
Speaker 4 (23:14):
If it comes out of the shell, it's going to
be kind of nasty.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
I think. And I don't know. I think maybe it's
not in there anyway. Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
He left eight ninety five south on between Moravia Road
and the Harbor Tunnel.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Stop and go right now.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Caves Valley Road, Park Heights Avenue, and Walnut Avenue all
affected because the BMW Championship Golf tournament is happening this week,
So if you have to drive in that area, be
aware that there will be shutdowns and delays and then
ninety five north between seventy seven and eighty it has
some road constructions.
Speaker 4 (23:50):

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Now eight hundred three two one thirty six ninety three.
Speaker 9 (24:13):

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Son. Hey Pop, you're getting older thirty three next week,
So I think it's time. Is this the talk good?
I have lots of questions. No, it's not that. I
think it's time you moved out? Why would I do that?
Speaker 10 (24:43):
Mom cooks for me, you pay my bills, and Gramophone
just tricked out our entire home, my home.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Good talk Pops. Gramophone bringing audio, video and smart tech
to life. See here and feel the difference Intimonium Columbia
and Geysersburg, Maryland. An official message from Medicare. I turned
sixty five this year. I knew it was time to
figure out Medicare, and I had questions like when to
(25:10):
enroll and how to intertravel.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
This week, he.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
See Russell Dickerson. She's about to happen to me, Anthony.
Every time I hear that that song, here's what I hear.
(25:35):
I hear him singing right, and then I.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Hear him now she sings sad. Do you hear any similarity?
Speaker 6 (25:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Yeah, yeah, am I hearing things?
Speaker 5 (25:50):
Michael Jay's music City minute in sixty seconds.
Speaker 7 (25:53):
You don't know like you own music?
Speaker 4 (25:55):
Rowkay, we do have a lot. Ella Langley, are you
familiar with her? Of course she had a big hit
with Riley Green. Anyway, Ella Langley posted all over her
socials late yesterday afternoon. I'm just going to read what
she put up. I'm so sad to be posting this,
she said. The past several weeks have been tough. I've
(26:16):
been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever.
After a lot of thought, I've made the hard decision
to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus
on my health, mind, body, and heart. I want to
be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I
know I can't do that without first taking care of myself.
(26:38):
And then she said, sometimes we have to listen when
our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down.
I'm so grateful for this, for your understanding and your love.
It truly means the world to me.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Well, they say, if you don't take a break, your
body will.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Choose to take a break for you. I'm a little
worried about her. I just am. It seems like she's
handling it though. Yeah, but I'm just worried about it.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, you know, I mean to get instant fame like that,
it must be very difficult.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Well, Carly Pierce, we're worried about her too. She rushed
to the hospital after a ranch dressing bottle cut her
thumb open.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
No.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Yes, she was making a salad and she injured. I
shouldn't laugh because I would do something stupid like this.
She injured her thumb by trying to open a bottle
of ranch dressing. Has a deep cut required stitches, so
she rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and underwent
an X ray and stitches for her thumb injury. She's
(27:39):
also adjusting to her new normal with the injury, finding
it challenging to do everyday tasks like applying makeup and
pulling up her pants. She says she's got a different
she can't get her thumb in to pull the pants
up in the back. And she says despite the injury,
she's determined to perform at the Orange County Fair. She's
got some dates coming up. She's considering the dazz The
(28:00):
cast for her show.
Speaker 7 (28:02):
Ninety three point one POC Traffic.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
So they asked her, did you learn anything from this stupidity,
you know.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Like cut your hand open?
Speaker 4 (28:11):
She said, I've learned to slow down, not rush like
a bull in a China cabinet.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Okay, that's what she said. She is. That's fair, all right,
that's fair traffic. Okay.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
So we have some issues around the Caves Valley Golf
Club due to the BMW Championship Golf Tournament. Area restrictions
are all around. So if you're headed in that direct
general direction, you'll want to take another route.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Plus there's an accident. I'm fifty at College Drive.
Speaker 7 (28:38):
Saturday, August thirtieth.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Meriweather Post Pavilion, ninety three point one POCS Saturday in
the Country.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Welcome, It's came.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Brown, Put the brownlow, Luke Borchell time a fishy, gonna
(29:12):
be all round?
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Okay, ninety three point one w POC.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Everybody's got to meet with their boss at some point,
right doesn't everybody answer to a boss?
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Oh yeah? Everybody answers to somebody, and believe it or not,
so do we.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
And so Michael, Jay and Bethany, and we need your
help because we've been given a little exercise. We have
to fill out a form basically to I guess what
they're looking for.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Is our roles.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Bethany, you know what I mean, like my role, your role,
our rolls together. You put some jelly on those roles
and you know you got something good. So we because
we just started the show, yeah, like seven months ago,
and we don't know what we're doing. We're just having
fun to be honest, I mean, you know, uh, And
they want us to design our roles a little bit.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
So here's here's what I and I thought.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
If anyone knows our roles, it's our seven listeners, and
why not get the input from you. You can text
us at seven seven nine six two, or you can
call us we'd even love that better eight hundred and
three two one thirty six ninety three.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
So like for me, I'm thinking, like I was asked
what is my role? And I don't know if.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
They're meaning like on the air or in life or
I'm like friend dad who knows Baltimore country music and
country artists. That's kind of who I am. You know
what I mean, and you can I can get I
can fill in the play. But this gets, this gets
way into the weeds. And I just thought that, like
we because you know how you look in the mirror.
(30:52):
Everyone looks in the mirror. You're like, oh wow, you
were saying the other day, we see ourselves too often,
Like we weren't supposed to see ourselves as much as
we do.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
We're always on camera. Humans weren't supposed to like see
themselves this much.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
When you yeah, so we're used to looking in the mirror,
but like we look in a mirror, and how we
see ourselves isn't necessarily how other people see you. True,
when you hear your voice, have you ever recorded your
voice before and then heard it back and you're like,
that's me, It's not what I sound like. That's what
is It's different if you're not used to it. So
I think that goes for you and me too, Like
(31:27):
what we might perceive as what we think we look like,
but listeners might be like, what are you talking about?
So that's how I would describe myself. How would you
describe yourself? If I'm friend Dad who knows Baltimore country
music and country artists?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Oh what do you mom?
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Right?
Speaker 6 (31:48):
And I like.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Pop culture and news. I don't know, like I'm having
a hard time with this.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
I mean, there's you have such a dynamic personality though,
I mean like real estate and you know, improv comedy,
and you know you love movies.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
And you know you have a lot going on, do
you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Like?
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Yeah, So I think that's what it's about. But look,
let's just we need your help because we need to
fill in this thing. One line role, all right, how
do you in three to five words maximum? We need
to help us out three to five, No more than
three to five words. How do you describe Bethany listening
to ninety three point one WPOC And if you wouldn't mind,
(32:31):
do me too, how do you describe Michael J.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Okay, all right, eight.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Hundred three to two one thirty six ninety three. We
need to know because we've got to figure out what
to tell about this would be helpful. Yeah, we talk
to our boss after we're done today. All right, he's
coming to WPOC Saturday in the country.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Hell, I came get it away.
Speaker 10 (32:55):
I've got a furnished host, a diamond ring, and a
lonely broken.
Speaker 7 (33:02):
Hard fool alone and I can't even give it.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Ninety three point one w POC Michael J and Bethany
and we're we're doing a little exercise here because our
boss gave us homework and we're supposed to describe our role.
Speaker 8 (33:26):
Now.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
I think right away, does that mean like I should
be the one that windexes to the countertop? Like I
came in the other day and this countertop needed cleaning.
So I'm like, maybe that will be my role. I'll
be like, you know, like to make everything nice and neat.
Oh really yeah, beyond that, I was just saying, friend, dad,
I'm a country music fan, Baltimore boy, you know. And
(33:48):
then Bethany, you describe yourself as mom. What are the
other things you came on? That's like.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
I'm struggling with this.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Yeah, And the funny thing is you have so much
going on, you really do. I mean from improv Like
I said, you're a realtor. When you're not at the
radio station, and you're a country music fan and you're
very opinionated about music and everything. You are very opinionated,
right exactly. But what we think is necessarily the truth
(34:19):
because we want to find out what you think listening
every morning beat and that's how she describes you.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Upbeat and cheerful. Okay, I like that. I'll take it.
Love that, Okay, all right. And now, Michael J. I'm
almost afraid to ask.
Speaker 7 (34:33):
Honestly, I feel like you always have a smile on
your face.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
That's sweet, he does.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Yeah, yeah, I do, mostly because I'm just goofy and
my face is stuck like that.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
How long have you been listening?
Speaker 9 (34:48):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Geez be like twelve years?
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Oh wow? Awesome?
Speaker 4 (34:53):
Do you remember what what first turned you into a
country fan or into a listener of WPOC, Like what
was impetus?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Was there a song or an artist or something happened?
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Honestly, just my morning to meet.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
Listening to country music in the morning is just you know, relaxing,
heading into work takes my mind off of everything strusful.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
I love that. So what is your first name again? Chrissy?
Thank you very very much for checking in. We appreciate that. Yeah,
any time. All right, It's Chrissy.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
All right, take care bye, all right, good morning, ninety
three point one w POC Hello?
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Hello? Who is this.
Speaker 6 (35:35):
Kelly? Hey?
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Kelly?
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Help us out?
Speaker 4 (35:38):
We got to tell our boss what our roles are
and we're not even really sure. Uh So, three to
five words? How do you describe Bethany?
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Honestly?
Speaker 6 (35:48):
I think both of you are bold, chipper and fearless.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
I like everything you say, your chipper and whether it's
good or bad news, and you're fearless and whatever faces
each day on the radio.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
I'll tell you what.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
And Bethany's more fearless than me, that's true. You should
see how fearless she can get.
Speaker 7 (36:07):
Ninety three point one did we do POC traffic?
Speaker 1 (36:11):
We have lots of texts too. We can get to
those in just a minute, so keep them coming. Yes week.
I love to hear your three to five words.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
All right, I'll go over the roughest spots out here
on the road right now, the outerly between Belllet Road
and Providence Road. Eight ninety five before the Harbor Tunnels,
ninety five southbound before the Fort McHenry Tunnel, thirty two
westbound between Telegraph and Annapolis Road, the area around Caves
for the BMW Championship Golf Tournament, and ninety five northbound
between seventy seven and eighty.
