Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
This has been a pretty significant night, maybe in world history,
because the United States has joined Israel militarily in attacking Iran.
The President confirming just this evening that the US military
has struck three nuclear sites in Iran. The President says
that they have been completely and fully obliterated. The President
(00:30):
held a news conference, or I should say, hey, just
delivered remarks at the White House. Here is a little
bit of what the President said in the aftermath of
this bombing.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
The night, I can report to the world that the
strikes were a spectacular military success. Remember, there are many
targets left. The nights was the most difficult of them
all by far and perhaps the most lethal. But if
peace does not come quickly, we will go after those
(01:01):
other targets with precision, speed, and skill. Tonight I can
report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular
military success. Iran's key nuclear and Richmond facilities have been
completely and totally obliterated. A short time ago, the US
military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key
(01:26):
nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime, Fordeaux, Natanz and Esfahan.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Around. The bully of the Middle East must.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Now make peace. If they do not, future attacks would
be far greater and a lot easier.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
The President had said just a couple of days ago
that he was going to take a couple of weeks
to decide whether the American military would get involved directly
in the conflict between Israel and Iran. He'd been calling
for negotiations to continue. Israel as long wanted to dismantle
Iran's nuclear your aspirations, so has America. But Israel jumped
(02:04):
ahead and started attacking Iran, or rons attacked Israel back.
Gotten quite ugly over there, and now the United States
is directly involved in that as well. Let's hear from
ABC's Karen Travers.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
President Trump tells ABC News the strikes on Iran Saturday night,
where he quote tremendous success. A senior Administration official confirms
the US gave Israel a heads up before the strikes.
The President spoke with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
after the strikes. According to the president's social media post,
the US carried out attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran,
(02:38):
including Fodo, the facility buried deep underground in a Mountain.
President Trump on Thursday had said he was giving himself
two weeks to decide whether the US should strike Iran.
The White House stressed he was looking to see if
there was a diplomatic resolution to this escalating conflict, but
he was under pressure from Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahoo to get involved. Only the US has the thirty
(03:00):
thousand pound bunker Buster bomb capable of penetrating the Foudoh facility.
That's Iran's underground nuclear and Richmond site, which is deep
inside a mountain and protected by thick concrete. The President
said tonight that was one of the US targets. Karen
Traver's ABC News Washington.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
There are folks in the president's orbit, and by that
I mean his fervent supporters, the people you might call maga,
the diehards, who were vehemently opposed to military participation in
the conflict between Israel and Iran. There are members of
the Republican Party in Congress who are vehemently opposed to
(03:37):
US participation in this. So what might the political fallout
if any look like ABC's Selina Wang has that angle.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
The President has been weighing a variety of different factions.
On the one hand, you have a group of Republicans,
more traditional conservatives like Senator Lindsay Graham, who had been
urging the President to take forceful, swift military action. Then
on the other hand, you really had frustrated members of
his magabase who were urging the President to hold back,
(04:06):
arguing that any US military intervention or action would damage
the president's reputation and his campaign promise to end all
forever wars. President Trump and his true social post tonight
he wrote that quote, now is the time for peace.
The question is if he was able to achieve the
two goals that he wanted, which was number one, to
both end to Ron's nuclear program and number two to
(04:28):
also have this be a peaceful resolution and end to
the war.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
That's ABC's Selena Wang reporting. So what are your thoughts
on this situation that broke around five o'clock our time
when the President posted on social media that these strikes
had taken place after just a couple of days, previously
saying you'd take a couple of weeks to decide that
this was a pretty sudden decision, a sneaky decision, and apparently,
(04:54):
according to the White House, a very effective one. You
can open up the iHeartRadio app, click on that time
button and weigh in on this. We also want to
hear your thoughts about the ongoing immigration raids, the visit
by President Vice President Vance and the remarks that he
made against local and state officials suggesting that they are
directly involved in the antagonization and violence against federal agents
(05:18):
here and La Mayor Bass's response to those accusations. Here's
here's some feedback from one of our listeners.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
So, Michael, I just heard you play a comment from
another listener saying that he remembers the hostages that Iran
had taken. I guess how same listener must have then
forgotten that only a couple of years after that, the
Republicans under Reagan then sold weapons to Iran as a
thank you for not releasing those hostages under Carter and
instead waiting for his first day in office. Did he
forget that that Republicans actually sold weapons to Iran? Appreciate
(05:49):
that feedback there again. You can join us by opening
up the iHeartRadio app and clicking on the talkback button.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Let's hear from Royce.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Hello, Michael, I'm a centrist, which has become a rare
thing in this country. Everyone seems very obsessed with their
runaway ideologies. These problems with Iran and the border. They
have been festering for decades, and I'm not particularly a
fan of Trump, but I am grateful that there is
(06:19):
someone there willing to fix these problems that have been
right in our face this whole time.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Thanks for your call, Royce. We appreciate your participation as well.
And let's hear from Sonny who wants to weigh in
on the Mayor Basque Avin Newsome jd vance situation.
Speaker 8 (06:38):
Mayor Bass, Gavin Newsom, all they want is a Hispanic
vote down due ain't dell.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Flip over California just to get the vote.
Speaker 9 (06:47):
That's dirty, shame.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
They should go with the with the laws of the land.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Appreciate that one as well. And here's some here's the
more thoughts on that.
Speaker 10 (06:59):
R mister monk. This is Jerry from Yucca Valley.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Hey, Jerry, I just.
Speaker 10 (07:03):
Want to let you know that I am very impressed
with Mayor Bass. Not really a fan of hers, but
at least she grew a pair of malls whereas people
were losing their balls last week, so I gradually her
her stand enough for what she thinks.
Speaker 8 (07:18):
Right, all right, I'm out.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Do you agree with Jerry there.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Do you think that Mara Bass has well, let's just say,
found her footing in the ongoing debate that she's having
with the federal government. Or do you agree with Vice
President Vance that La and California have set the stage
for the mass migration here and that they are directly
encouraging the violence and the antagonization against the federal agents
(07:48):
who are here. Open up the iHeartRadio app. Click on
that talkback button will have room for more of your
comments just ahead. We're going till nine o'clock to night.
By the way, the protests, the demonstrations against immigration enforcement
in just the city of Los Angeles, forget what you've
seen in bell and Maywood and other parts of LA
(08:08):
County and even Santa Ana. Just directly in Los Angeles proper,
it's costing the city a lot of money. A lot
of money. The city Controller is out with new numbers
on how much it has cost to send the LAPD
out to these things. It's an enormous number. We're going
to talk about that because that number is probably going
(08:30):
to grow once the lawsuits start piling up.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Another wacky Saturday full of significant news. President Trump saying
the US military has struck three nuclear sites in Iran.
The US military now directly joining Israel in their effort
to decapitate Iran's nuclear program. The Associated Press has described
this as a risky gambit to weaken a long time foe.
(09:02):
Tehran has continued to threaten reprisals, so we could see
a wider regional conflict. The Iranian government has said despite
the attacks by the US military today, the nuclear program
in that country will continue going on. They'll continue to
work towards their effort. Whatever it was with those nuclear sites.
(09:26):
US and Israeli officials have both said that American stealth
bombers and a thirty thousand pounds bunker buster bomb offered
the best chance of destroying the heavily fortified sites connected
to the Iranian nuclear program very deep underground. The President
announced that just before five o'clock this afternoon our time,
(09:46):
it's already Sunday there in Iran. We are monitoring that situation.
We will continue to bring you the latest in You
can also continue to weigh in on that and the
situation here closer to home, the ongoing federal immigration enforcement
efforts and the demonstrations against them. LA City Controller Kenneth
(10:09):
Mahea has a new estimate of how much the response
has cost to these demonstrations. The response to these demonstrations,
What is the cost as of the seventeenth Let me
just put this out more recently, But as of the seventeenth,
which is just Tuesday, we haven't had the wide scale,
(10:32):
a widespread demonstrations like we had earlier, so the responses
haven't been as large. But up to Tuesday, the estimated
cost to the city is now just over thirty two
million dollars. The bulk of that is LAPD stuff twenty
(10:57):
nine and a half million dollars the LAPD. I reported
this week in my coverage of La City Hall that
the city council has approved a five million dollar loan
from its own reserves to cover overtime for the LAPD.
The fire department has cost a little over a one
point one million in response general general services, He says,
(11:21):
almost six hundred thousand street services more than half a
million dollars, so one point four million dollars basically to
clean up and to take care of the public property damage,
but City Controller Kenneth Mahea notes in this estimate that
these numbers do not include the potential lawsuits. We already
(11:45):
know that a group of journalists has announced plans to
sue local law enforcement over the response, saying that they
were on the receiving end of some violent law enforcement activity.
But we also hear that another lawsuit could be coming
(12:05):
because of a US citizen detained in one of these
immigration rates. That may not be a lawsuit against the
City of Los Angeles, but there will be a lot,
a lot of legal filings across various jurisdictions based on
what's happening here. Let's hear from ABC's Chuck Sivertsoncia was
(12:29):
capturing let me start that again, My apologies.
Speaker 8 (12:31):
Well, Garcia was capturing the ice rate on video Thursday.
Speaker 11 (12:34):
He lunged at me and I'm still recording, So he
pushes me, puts both hands on me. Then the pressure
of like the knee on my back and like his
hand on my neck. Like that's I follow, Like is
this it for me?
Speaker 8 (12:47):
The potential charge was assault of a federal agent. Garcia
says that went away after others Onseen posted videos of
what happened on social media and they went viral. He
says he plans legal action.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
He says he plans legal action. He won't be the
only one.
Speaker 9 (13:03):
Now.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
That was a scuffle with federal agents. This is a
thirty seven year old man. His name is hob Garcia.
He was at the Home Depot in Hollywood. This was
a huge scene on Thursday. Thursday was a very wacky day.
We saw Immigration enforcement at the Home Depot in Hollywood,
(13:23):
at a low store in Pacoima. There was some car
washes in Glendale that were targeted. And then we had
the whole thing go down outside Dodgers Stadium and the
dispute between the federal government and the Dodgers' organization about
which branch of Immigration Enforcement showed up there and whether
that branch asked for permission to use the Dodgers parking
lot the Dodgers seeing that the organization, whether it was
(13:46):
the Dodgers or the owners of the parking lot, said no,
you can't use them. Thursday was a wacky day. It
was a busy day, It was an intense day. But
this was a thirty seven year old guy. His name
is hob Garcia. Yeah, who up spelled like job and
he was at the home depot. He was tackled to
(14:09):
the ground and arrested by federal agents while he was
filming the situation. He was taken in to custy. Here's
a little bit of what he has to say.
Speaker 11 (14:21):
The pressure of like the knee on my back and
like his hand on my neck, Like that's I follow,
Like is.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
This it for me?
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Garcia says this.
Speaker 11 (14:30):
Also, he lunged at me, and I'm still recording, So
he pushes me, puts both hands on me, and I
pushed his hand off, and then he didn't like that,
so he grabbed my left hand.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
More description from mister Garcia about what he went through
at the scene.
Speaker 11 (14:47):
However long period that was if if an undocumented person
ran away and got away and got to get to
his family and got to get to his like pregnant wife,
and I'm okay with that.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
He also talks a bit about the way the federal
agents were behaving. Again, this is this is his story.
I've not seen any comment from the Border Patrol about
this particular situation.
Speaker 11 (15:17):
At first it was assault of a of a federal agent,
but only later the narrative started switching because the video
was out.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
So he says that they were originally taking him into
custody because of assault on a federal agent, but there
are videos out there, and he says the videos show
clear evidence that that didn't happen. But here's something else
he said about what he heard federal agents saying, like.
Speaker 11 (15:46):
How many bodies did you guys yet today? And one
of them said thirty one, and they started like yay,
like there was a good day today, and they're like
high fiving each other.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
So you know, we know that the White House, according
to reports, want to get up to three thousand detainees
a day. They want three thousand illegal immigrants arrested a day.
They're not quite gotten there yet, but they are ramping
up those numbers. So pull of Garcia says that he
saw some agent celebrating because they got thirty one bodies
(16:19):
as he heard them say. Again, those are his words,
that's his story. His story has been documented now by
ABC News and the La Times has a big article
about this guy as well. We also saw a twenty
one year old who worked at a Walmart and Pico
Rivera who was taken into federal custody as well. He
(16:41):
was accused of obstructing the federal government's efforts in an
immigration bust. There, he's an American citizen, drawing a lot
of protests downtown and in Pico Rivera. As tough as
it's been over the past couple of weeks, it just
feels like this is all just started. I mean, if
(17:04):
this president wants this to continue throughout his administration, this
is a very young administration, three and a half years left,
and it's already hot here. You heard what the Vice
president said right here in Los Angeles, you heard what
the mayor had to say back to it, and we
were seeing what's going on on the ground. I mean,
(17:26):
yesterday in Bell federal agent vehicles were attacked, tire slash,
windows busted as they were driving away. It's going to
be an interesting summer here and we'll be documenting that
(17:47):
all the way right here at KFI. You can count
on that. Up next, more of your comments about this situation,
the immigration, the ongoing immigration enforcement, and the attacks against
Iran now by the US military as confirmed by the
President himself. First, let's get the latest.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
You got another half hour together on this Saturday night
in southern California. A busy night indeed, as the United
States has joined the military operations against Iran, teaming up
with Israel. Let's hear from ABC's Karen Travers about what
went down today.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
President Trump on Thursday said he was giving himself two
weeks to decide whether the US would strike Iran. The
White House said he wanted to see if there could
be a diplomatic resolution Saturday night. He didn't say specifically
why he issued the order.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Now, our objective was the destruction of Orange nuclear inrichment
capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by
the world's number one state sponsor of terror.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
The President left open the possibility of further attacks.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
If peace does not come quickly, we will go after
Those are the targets with precision, speed and skill.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
Karen Triver's ABC News Washington, and the President talked at
the White House tonight about that operation.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
We'll play more of his remarks coming up, and we'll
also hear from Israeli Prime Minister Benjaminette Yahoo, both of
them congratulating each other on the joint operation against Iran.
Very celebratory moods from those two government leaders. We've also
heard from the Iranian government that their nuclear ambitions will
continue because it is built on the blood of martyrs,
(19:33):
they say, will continue to follow a developing situation out
of the Middle East. Right here on KFI. This week,
we heard from the Federal Reserve that interest rates, the
key interest rate, would remain the same, and that was
against President Trump's wishes. He's wanted a cut in that
rate for some time. He had some harsh words for
FED Chair Jerome Powell. And as we are prepping those
(19:57):
stories here for our newscast and reading the ap bullets
and all of that, and listening to the sound from
these public officials, something struck me that the main reason,
according to FED Chair to Room Pound, that they're not
lowering the rates yet is because there are still concerns
about the potential for higher prices related to tariffs. And
(20:19):
we've been hearing about this since the tariff policy was implemented.
It feels like months ago, right, It's been months, And
I don't know what you're seeing out there, Maybe an
item here or there more expensive. Maybe if you're in business,
you're seeing it a little more directly because you're ordering
more stuff, bigger stuff, larger quantities, or you're ordering farther out.
I'm not seeing a whole lot of it. But now
(20:42):
we have the FED chair saying that higher prices could
still be looming and closer to home. The Port of
Los Angeles has warned about this, so we may not
be seeing it on the shelves yet, but apparently it
is coming. The Port of Los Angeles CEO Jean Siroka
(21:09):
spoke last week. He talks every month about here's what
happened at the port. Here's the traffic, here's the cargo,
here's the numbers, what we're seeing, And apparently May tends
to be a pretty good month for the Port of
Los Angeles, but this past May was not so good.
Speaker 12 (21:33):
For context, we typically expect May volume to be a
little stronger than that of April because we're approaching peak season,
and compared to our five year running average for the
month of May, imports are down seventeen percent.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
So he always talks like that in these press conferences
because he's reading it and it's always a little weird.
But the news was not good. You know, they tend
to be straight shooters. I mean, this is data that
they can measure. Here's how many ships came in. Here's
how many pieces of cargo was on that chip. Here's
(22:10):
what that cargo was. Here's how many were empty. We
had us in back, but May was apparently very very
very bad.
Speaker 12 (22:22):
May marked our lowest monthly volume in over two years.
While we're tracking four percent of last year's volume year
to date, I expect overall cargo flow to remain modest
for the balance of twenty twenty five. Further released just
this week, the National Retail Federation's Port Tracker predicts a
(22:45):
decline in imports for each month June, July, and August
coming ahead. To give you some perspective, the last six
months of twenty twenty four here at the Port of
Los Angeles, we averaged nine one hundred and twenty seven
thousand container units each month. We simply don't see those
(23:06):
kind of numbers unless there's significant change to trade policy
very soon.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Trade policy Tariff Policy says that's the problem.
Speaker 12 (23:16):
Tariffs remain elevated on average due to the cumulative effect.
Imports from China to the United States are at fifty
five percent tariffs. Conversely, ten percent tariffs in a retaliatory
fashion have been placed on all US exports. There's much
more work to be done here. This likely won't move
(23:39):
the needle for many businesses. What I continue to hear
is we want clarity, longer range planning capability, and much
lower tariffs.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
And so what does it mean for you? Again, I'm
not seeing a whole lot of it when I'm out shopping.
I was at a target today in Hollywood. Didn't look
like the prices weren't different than I would have expected.
Speaker 12 (23:58):
Apparently it's coming as a leading economic indicator here in
the United States.
Speaker 8 (24:03):
We see activity up.
Speaker 12 (24:05):
To three months before products hit the ground here in
Los Angeles and are distributed throughout the country, and it's
very slow here. Seasonally, we've already blown past summer fashion
and looking forward now to back to school and Halloween
before the all important year end holidays. That cargo for
those micro seasons needs to be here on the ground
(24:26):
right now. I don't necessarily see that in inventory levels.
We'll likely see higher prices and fewer selections for both
that back to school and Halloween season, and those products
right now will give us a little bit less than
we normally would see as far as cargo volume coming
across our docks.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
That's the CEO of the Los Angeles Port, Gene Soroca,
And we also heard the FED chair Jerme Powell saying
the reason we're not cutting interest rates is because the
impact of the tariffs on consumers is still on the horizon.
Speaker 7 (25:04):
Now.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Jane Soroka makes it sound like as you start to
shop towards the end of the summer for back to
school things, a backpack, a fold or a pen, new shoes,
those sorts of things close, that's when you'll start to
see it, or maybe not if things aren't on the shelves.
Halloween as well, So just keep that in mind. It's
(25:28):
always something, isn't it? Something to look forward to this
late summer early fall apparently is the impact of these
tariffs unless something changes, as Gene Soroca said. Up next,
we're going to hear more from President Trump's remarks. Tonight,
we'll hear from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nett and Yahoo
about this operation against Iran, the US now directly involved
(25:50):
in that, and we'll finish up with your comments on
both the situation in Iran and here locally, immigration enforcement
and the war of words between Washington, DC, in Los
Angeles and California. It's next on Michael Monks Reports.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
We're hearing remarks from you are faithful listeners about the
situation in Iran and the situation here at home involving
immigration enforcement in the conflict between Washington and local and
state officials. Let's hear some more.
Speaker 13 (26:27):
Hey, Michael, it's vern in Ridondo. And I just heard
that guy Jerry's comment that Fast grew a pair of balls. No,
she's a coward.
Speaker 9 (26:39):
She lied.
Speaker 13 (26:40):
She said that everything was wine and roses, all honky
dory until the national guard showed up. And the reality
is she did nothing about the violence until the national
guard showed up on purpose.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
All right, we appreciate that comment. In response to the
other comment. And let's hear now from EDWARDO.
Speaker 14 (27:07):
Yeah, this is Ederuardo here in Florida. Mayor Bass has
never ran a company or been an executive. I mean,
how's the rebuilding in those posts? La fires? As far
as permits, high taxes, high crime, four hundred gangs, you
guys have, like what seventeen choppers? There was a group
(27:28):
top party that went onto the street and they vandalize businesses,
so she needs to be.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Rep Thank you for those comments. Quick reminder, we don't
cut you off. It's like a thirty second max on
the recording, so I just gotta watch your time there.
Let me just check a couple more here and make
sure there's no profanity here so that I can run
this as well. Looks like this is okay. Let's hear from.
Speaker 15 (27:50):
Dave Michael Dave here in Joshua Tree, I can tonight
announce to the world that they're here in the high desert.
Is fantastic. About three minutes ago, I walked past the
coyote and in the last thirty seconds just saw a
(28:11):
jack rabbit running towards the coyote. So we hope for peace,
but tragedy may wait.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
All right, Well, Joshua Tree sounds beautiful tonight?
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Does Can you call back in talentus?
Speaker 2 (28:25):
What the stars look like?
Speaker 8 (28:26):
That's my favorite part in Joshua.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
I bet it's gorgeous. It's It's something I'd like to
go out and just hang out in some time. Not
made it there yet, so looking forward to that. I
don't really want to see the coyotes, but I would
love to see see the stars, all right, let's hear
one more.
Speaker 16 (28:41):
If iron we'll retaliate against America, and what would be
their first target here in America.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
I don't know, Sophia. We might, we might unfortunately find out,
of course. I mean, it's a crazy world that we
live in. Some of the reporting that I've seen from
the national press indicates that retaliation against America may not
be the type of military reaction that we did tonight.
It might be something cyber related and not necessarily against
(29:17):
the general population. They're perhaps sophisticated enough to be a
little more targeted. So it's something to keep an eye on.
I mean, the stakes just got higher again if you're
just joining us, or if you're just waking up from
a very long nap. Tonight, the United States directly involved
in the conflict between Israel and Iran. Here's what President
(29:39):
Trump said earlier tonight.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
There's no military in the world that could have done
what we did tonight, not even close. There's never been
a military that could do what took place just a
little while ago. I want to thank and congratulate Prime
Minister Phebe NETANYAHUO. We worked as a team like perhaps
no team has ever worked before, and we've gone a
(30:01):
long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
This cannot continue.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
There will be either peace or there will be tragedy
for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the
last eight days. But if peace does not come quickly,
we will go after those other targets with precision, speed
and skill. Most of them can be taken out in
a matter of minutes.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Prime Minister Benjamin Nett and Yahoo of Israel was also
very grateful for the American military involvement.
Speaker 9 (30:34):
Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran's nuclear
facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United
States will change history. In Operation Rising Line, Israel has
done truly amazing things, but in tonight's action against Iran's
nuclear facilities, America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done
(30:59):
what no other country on Earth could do. His leadership
today has created a pivot of history that can help
lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of
prosperity and peace. President Trump and I often say peace
through strength. First comes strength, then comes peace, and tonight
(31:20):
President Trump and the United States acted with a lot
of strength. President Trump, I thank you the people of Israel.
Thank you, the forces of civilization. Thank you, God bless America,
God bless Israel. And may God bless our unshakable alliance,
our unbreakable faith.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
And ABC News got some reaction from people here in
Los Angeles to the US military joining the fight with
Israel against Iran.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
President Trump's doing what he has to do.
Speaker 13 (31:53):
At the end of the day, He's going in there
putting his foot, putting his foot down and make you
sure they're not going to threaten us again like that.
Speaker 7 (32:03):
It's crazy that now in this modern day time, like
I wouldn't think Blick being in gen Zad being.
Speaker 10 (32:07):
A war, but.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
I'm not sure why they put that particular quote out,
very gen z quote.
Speaker 7 (32:15):
It's crazy that now in this modern day time, like
I wouldn't think Blick being in gen Zad being a war.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
But it doesn't matter if it's modern day time or not.
War is a constant across all generations throughout history of humanity.
