Felt really good. I felt that better after that loss,

and this defense still put the team in a position
to win the game on a sixty one yard walkoff
field goal, which by the way, is extremely tough to make,

I said, Nah, no, I'm feeling better about it. I
really am. I don't feel so good today after yesterday,
I really don't. Yeah, you got to win, and an
ugly win beats a pretty loss eight days a week

you know, if anything, at the end of the day,
the last and truest meritocracy is the final score after
a game is over that cannot be taken away. So

and waited for everybody, the beat writers and the people
who cover this team on a daily basis, to ask

the game. I wish I would have asked the same
question to Cooper Cup because I think he's the one
guy on this team that doesn't give you the jock

you think that you're gonna be able to beat the
l A Rams, who have never lost to Seattle, when

had to eke out a win versus a Jerry Atrick

card very soon. In Philip rivers, I don't know, I
don't know. I and Sam Darnold didn't play bad yesterday.

They couldn't get in the end zone. But he didn't
play bad. He didn't turn the ball over. You had
to have known going into Okay, here's gonna be their offense,
quick screen passes. As soon as he gets the ball,
he's gonna throw quick screen passes to Pittman or whoever

hand off to Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren and maybe
shallow that you're gonna have to release the ball within
two and a half seconds. That guy stayed in the

when playing simple. I don't feel as good about this

I'll say the Seahawks are playing winning football, not championship football.
And to your point, championship teams don't look as poorly
as they did now. To my point that I made
about a week ago, facing adversity, that was a game
where they faced some the offense had nothing for them.

Zilt couldn't do anything.

They relied on their kicker, who they paid, and maybe
they should give a bonus to maybe they, you know,
figure out a way to give him an extra two
million after what he did on Sunday versus the Colts,
because without him this team is having an l on
the record right now. But because of him they're winning.
And also the defense as well. The defense I've for

giving up one touchdown. I mean again, they held this
team to sixteen points. That's a victory. They're gonna do that.
If they can do that weekend and week out, they're
winning the super Bowl with that defense. I think that's given.
But they got to figure out how to run the
ball because you're not gonna win Nope. But this performance
they were two of twelve on third downs. You're not

winning doing that. You just can't sustain an offense being
that poorly on third down.

If Jason is not catching the ball and you can't

back to back weeks of consistent running the football, and
that could be a problem.

reason why they will probably win the first wildcard game

It couldn't be any worse than what he did yesterday.

So from my standpoint, I think it'll be a tough

see the best version of the twenty twenty five Seattle Seahawks.

Thursday night, because that level of competition is going to
be exponentially improved. And I got news for you. The
guy that you're facing, especially after a blown twenty one
point lead yesterday in New England, is probably gonna win
the MVP in Matthew Stafford. And he has been playing
football every year and there's been no five year layoff,

and he'll be ready on Thursday night. So we'll leave
it at that. Leave it at that. But I was
embarrassed yesterday. It was an embarrassing win. Proud of the
loss after the Rams they said the day after we
came on the air, I feel good about it. Yes,
Sam had a horrible game, but the team and the
defense put them in a position to win the game

I don't feel so great after yesterday. And anybody who
doesn't think that the players were not looking ahead to

to do in large part to Philip Rivers five year
semi retirement and forty four year old quarterback. And I
believe the better Seahawks would have showed up if Daniel

Who you know that's this whole three year thing. Who's
he going to get for three years. These guys that
are hit free agency at thirty are gonna want five
years because they know they're getting into that third decade
of their life. Who's coming here for three years? Cody

when he's thirty three and his contract's over? Can can

Well that was a caller into of all shows, the
Michael k Show, which I thought no longer existed when
he was kind of taken off the Afternoon show. He's
the voice of the New York Yankees on TV. But
when I heard that, that hurt my heart because I
could hear the sincerity and authenticity in his voice. And

it does hurt. It's gotta hurt when you lose the
three most popular players on one team. Imagine if the
Mariners said goodbye to Cal Julio and didn't re sign
Josh Naylor, because I would say, Josh Naylor is one
of the most popular, or Cal Julio and Logan Gilbert. Yeah,
everybody here would be going crazy and I would understand that.

And that's what Mets fans are going through right now.
So I'm I feel for that fan and he donated
all of his mets geared goodwill. Well, that's at least
it went to a worthy cause. That's good. But man,

that's a tough one to take. That's a tough one
to take. I'm not gonna lie, and I feel sorry
that a fan has come to that point in their
life where they're like, I'm just done. I'm done. That's sad.
