Speaker 1 (00:00):
Six hours and eleven minutes away from the big one,
maybe the biggest regular season game of the twenty twenty
five NFL season Rams Seahawks Loomenfield, basically what I would
refer to as the NFC West Championship Game Thursday night.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Can't wait. Gonna be huge. I know you're ready for it.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
One of the things I do like since being here
and that I've noticed this, not that it shocked me,
but how much Seattle and the PNW love the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And you see it everywhere you go. You could go to.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
QFC fred Meyer Safeway, anywhere Dix and pay twenty two
cents for catch up. Wherever you would go, you see Seahawks,
and I love it. I knew coming here that this
was a football town.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Oh, everybody wrapped their arms around the Mariners, including yours
truly when they made a run to Game seven of
the ALCS and nearly went to the World Series. But
at the end of the day, the DNA, I mean,
this is a basketball town too, but I think at
its core, at its DNA, Seattle is a basketball and
a football town, and the Seahawks reign supreme in Seattle.

(01:35):
I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. But
I've gotten a chance to observe it and get through
eighty percent, eighty two percent of a regular season here
and see just how And I mean this in the
most complimentary way, just obsessed you are with the Hawks.

(01:58):
And I love that because I'm obsessed with football and
I'm glad you are as well. Now that being said,
I started to think about certain things in terms of
who are the real Hawks and who are the real

(02:20):
Hawks in twenty twenty five? Is it the team that
went toe to toe in Week one but lost to
San Francisco forty nine ers game?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Is it that team?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Or and we could go and I want to do
this too, I literally feel it. We should really almost
just a brief synopsis of game by game. Is it
the team who only gave up seventeen points and Riequoland
allowed some third string tight end named Dake Jake Tanjas

(02:57):
to catch the game winning reception in the end zone
and the Niners pulled it out seventeen thirteen. Or is
it the team who won three in a row at
Pittsburgh and took care of two garbage Saints and Cardinals teams?
The team also who the one game I will say

(03:19):
all season long where they really didn't look like the
Mike McDonald prototype that we have seen here in the
better part of one in three quarter seasons, I would
say was the game against the Bucks, and the entire
tenor of that game changed on that stupid trick play

(03:41):
called by Clint Kubiak by Jalen Milroe, pitch to Kenny Walker, fumble,
Bucks takeover, They score a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
And it turned into a shootout.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
But since then, other than the game against Tennis, which
Hawks were winning by two touchdowns going the fourth quarter,
and the game at home against Arizona where the Hawks
were up I believe in that game at one point

(04:14):
something to the like thirty five to nothing throughout the
second quarter and the Cardinals just came back. Jacoby Brissett,
trade McBride. This team has done its job defensively. But
I'm trying to gauge, and I'm asking you as well,
who are the real Hawks. Is it the team who

(04:38):
has not beaten any NFC playoff teams this season, being
the Bucks, the Niners, the Rams, Or is it the
team that has very impressive road victories at Pittsburgh, at
Jacksonville and then home versus Minnesota. Excuse me, Mount Minnesota, Houston,

(05:04):
not Minnesota, Houston Max prosmer is not impressive. So which
team is it? And I think it's yes, it's a
combination of all that. But what we are coming upon
on Thursday night is the ultimate lit miss test on

(05:28):
who this team is.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Now. If the defense that.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Showed up a month ago at SOFI Stadium shows up
on Sunday, excuse me, Sunday, Nope, mark Thursday night. If
that defense and I believe they will show up on
Thursday night, well you're gonna have a chance to win
the game. But now the question is this, which offense

(05:57):
is gonna show up? And there was something today on
and you can see it time and time again every week.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
And I know they just picking plays, but.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Anthony Bradford and I probably have pulled some punches on him,
maybe subconsciously unintentionally because you know me, your boy MJ.
I'm not gonna pull punches on anybody. It's just not
my style. But I saw a clip on mL Football
of Anthony Bradford on Sunday against the Colts, and granted

(06:41):
it was just a handful place, but I feel that
the Hawks have by the way you talk about distracting.
So I'm going in right now, kid, go to mL
football see what you do to me?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Kid? Go to mL football Twitter. Right now.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I'm trying to find the thing that I saw this
morning of Anthony Bradford. And I get down and I
see Giants rookie star quarterback Jackson Dart's influencer girlfriend, Marissa Airs.
And when you get down, kid, you'll know why I
got distracted. Good Lord, Jackson Dart, God bless you, man.

(07:30):
You are one lucky man.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Wow. Okay, now back on track.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
If that's not enough to distract you, I want the
Anthony Bradford bad clips, which they're a plethora of, and
I get Jackson Dart's social media influencer girlfriend, Marissa Airs,
who's an absolute twelve. And I don't mean one of
the twelves like Seattle. I mean a twelve better than
a ten a dime piece.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Whoa?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
You see that, kid, solid And you see the close
up video it's solid.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
You know, oh, well that's solid, then maybe you must
have been down in Miami. If that's solid, that is
uh whoa, whoa? All right, back to the topic at hand.
I'm sorry, I got to get my prescription to adderall
refilled and stay on track here, all right, Okay, Anthony Bradford.

(08:35):
It's like when the Hawks are out there and when
you want to know why, and I'm not telling you
anything you don't already know. Anthony Bradford is a hole
on that line. And when you want to know why,
Kenny Walker and Zach Sharbonay combine average two point three

(08:58):
yards per carry on Sunday against a very tough Colts defense.
I'm not taking anything away from those guys. You need
to look no further than number seventy five. It's painful.
It's absolutely painful. You watch this guy and I'm like,

(09:23):
and then and like, you see the comments too about
Anthony Bradford, and oh, here it is.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I won't get distracted now by Jackson Dart's girlfriend. To
the fellas out there, you know, the guys that you know,
all you guys that show up to my events in
your twenties, you know what I'm talking about. When you
see this and here are the comments on Anthony Bradford,
it is truly getting ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
But speaking as a.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Longtime Seahawks fan, all right, I can't read that one well.
I don't want to get into that one. Absolutely awful.
It goes on to say, you know, and some people
stick up for him, but being faced down with your
running backs balls in your back is how you know
your teammate like and appreciate your work. That's so funny.

(10:15):
The picture on that is too much. This might be
why the Seahawks are so frustrating to predict how their
running backs are gonna perform each week. Hey, guys, this
is from Kevin Miller.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Give the guy.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I'm just reading comments on Twitter because I'm here for
the comments. Hey, give the guy a break. He has
a college degree from LSU. No, hey, ce and this
guy Rich Main he goes at the Seahawks. No way,
you guys don't see this during film sessions. The Rams
absolutely must abuse this man on Thursday, Troy Holiday, Let's

(10:51):
get him on the Raiders asap. Bro, I don't understand
from lights out savages. I don't understand how keeping this
guy in every week. I need some answers, and he
does it at the Seahawks. Mister Kobiak, can I interest
you in appairing with Carmen Brisillo? Oh our boy, Palmer Palmer, Yeah,

(11:16):
I'm not sure it wasn't a penalty on lot too. Okay, yeah,
it was a bad call. Fine, but bad calls just
aren't exclusive to the game against the Colts on Sunday.
And it's like, you just see it right now, and
it's just bad.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
He's really bad.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
And you know, another guy, says another fraud o lineman
from the SEC another of Disney ABC ESPN morons mel
kiper best offensive guard in the draft. Why you see
one of the offensive guard is the NFL position at
the bottom of the totem pole. They are the closest

(11:59):
position to really big dudes just walking on the street,
not playing in the NFL. This dude has no athleticism
in his feet. He's a big boy built to take
up space and NNGL Bradford's game is something else and
he has the lolmoji and this is bad. It's really bad.

(12:20):
So when you want to know why the Seahawks have
one of the worst running games in the NFL, that
is why he's one of the the He's the major
reason why.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Okay, so there goes that.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
But overall, we need to get the best version of
the Seattle Seahawks that shows up on Thursday night. Okay,
that's what we need to get. We can't have it,
you know, we can't have the team that averaged two
point three yards per carry.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
We can't. The Seahawks right now are bottom five.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
In the NFL and yards per carry only in front
of Cleveland, New Orleans, San Francisco and the Raiders. So
San Francisco's dealing with it as well. But that's how
bad this team has been. They're averaging just under four
yards per carry this season. And it starts with the
old line. Now, I understand if you know pass blocking,

(13:27):
if you can't run block in the NFL and you're
a guard, why are you in the NFL? Please tell me.
I'd like to know. Somebody tell me why you're you're
still in the NFL. And this guy's been here for
a minute, and the fact that he's still on this team,
like and there's other comments on there. Who does he

(13:49):
have pictures of in the Seahawks organization that would actually
make sense because he has no business being on one
of the best teams in the NFL and literally stealing
a game check every single week for seventeen straight weeks.

(14:10):
It makes no sense. So which team is gonna show
up on Thursday night. It better be the best version
of this Seahawks team, and it can't be the team
that showed up last month at so far. When Sam
Darnold through four interceptions, that team shows up, guess what

(14:34):
they will lose again and Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay
will run their record to seven. And oh versus the
Seahawks in the Matthew Stafford era, when Stafford plays in
the game and they don't go to a backup and lie.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Down and rest all their starters.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
I don't know, well, I think I know which one
is worse, but I'm thinking about right now, it feels worse.
What's a word statistic the Seahawks not having beaten Matthew
Stafford with the Rams being zero to six, or the
Mariners being the only team in baseball history to never

(15:13):
go to a World Series. Today, it feels worse with
the Seahawks. Probably would change my mind in April when
the Mariner season is in full swing. But you can't
have this on a team that right now is contending
and has designs on playing on that second Sunday in

(15:37):
February at Santa Clara Levi's Stadium in Super Bowl sixty.
I don't know how you get it fixed now. I
don't know. Jalen Sundell being back on Sunday, that was
a good thing. That was a really good thing. Obviously.
Any update kid on Abraham Lucas are didn't he get

(16:00):
hurt or a Cross Cross?

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I believe he is not going to play. This is
not something that I was told or I have heard.
But with a hamstring injury, I don't see him playing.
It's a hamster.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
It's tough to play with.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
It's not a sprained ankle. No, it's tough to hamstring.
So him and DeVante Adams, the news is going to
come out, Oh he didn't practice. We're hoping to get him.
I would be shocked if both of them play, I
will be shocked. I'm hoping Charles Cross can, but I
don't think he will be able to play with the
hamsting injury.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
RAMS still hopeful that DeVante Adams will play Thursday night.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
He definitely ain't playing. Did you see the clip I did? Yeah,
he's not. No, there's no, there's no he is not playing.
Ways he will blow it off the bone.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
No, God, that's just just disgusting to even think about that.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Woo.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
If they want to shoot him up for the game,
that's what they would have to do, and he rip
it off the bone and will take care of the
off season.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
But that doesn't make any sense to do that.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
You're better off just trying to rest for these next
three weeks and see.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
If you when you when you talk about that, I
think about like ribs coming off a bone. Oh yeah,
that's exactly like when you eat ribs and they fall right.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeah, And I'm like.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
That his hamstring if he goes out there on Thursday
night to try to play.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Nah.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Now, when you're running and you grab the back of
your hammy and you start galloping like a horse, you're done.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeah. How about them? They said.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Today just a little while ago that the Rams are
going to give Adams quote every chance to be able
to play in Seattle, adding that the team will take
it quote all the way up to game time before
making decision. He ain't playing, He ain't playing. No's shocked,
no way, he's playing, no way, yeah at all.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
When Sean McVay says that, Davante Adams said, I felt it. Yeah,
that's oh yeah, yeah, I know what that feels like. Man,
it's not fun. Oh oh, that sucks. But I'm hoping
Charles Cross can play. But when you're getting helped off
by the staff, that tells you everything you need to know.
If you can't walk off on your own power, your
hamstring is not going to be good. In two days

(18:06):
forty eight hoursn't enough time, buddy. Yeah, yeah, so I'm well,
we're hopeful, but all the being gay in the world
can't prepare you for that.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Okay, you know what I would admit someone on the.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Well, I mean someone on the text line said dude's
girlfriend meaning Dart's girlfriend ain't ugly, but looks just like
another cookie cutter plastic doll. Though had to look her
up after Homing went off, kind of disappointed. You're right,
by the way, I'll say this text line, You're right,
she does look cookie cutter, but I saw a clip
that made it, you know. And as for the guy
who said, please keep it to sports, stop it, stop it.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
We're gonna do entertainment.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
We're gonna do a bunch of different things.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
I didn't have that clip on me.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
And then I'm scrolling down mL football and that's what
came up, and obviously comes up because it's going to
get a lot of clicks. But yes, she's very cookie
as cookie cutter as it gets. You're not wrong, which
is one of the reasons why I don't get the
just people like, you know, bowing down to Sidney Sweeney.

(19:13):
She's a pretty actress. Let's leave it at that. She's
nothing right home about you know what, Sidney Sweeney is
walking down Ocean Drive on South Beach in Miami.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
She's a five. That's what they call her. Fives. Literally,
ooh Sidney Sweeney. Ohs she's so great. She's all right,
she's fine. She's a good actress.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
But like, let's not you know, yeah, she's not Carmen
a Lectra in the nineties or anything like that. Let's
not get it twisted. But you're right, she's very cookie cutter,
and that's who you expect Jackson Dart to be with.
All right, So which team is going to show up
on and who are the real Hawks? That's the question
I want to ask you. Who are the real Hawks?

(19:54):
Is it the team who took care of business on
the road at Pittsburgh at Jacksonville home against Houston, or
is the team who lost to the forty nine ers
Bucks in rams. Is it a combination of both? Who
are the real Hawks? Get your thoughts on that? And man,

(20:15):
I this is a big week. Big week. Oh speaking
of big we got Huesday Tuesday, Hugh Millen coming up
at eleven and a.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Guy that kid.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
I thank god I wasn't driving and I'm driven off
the road, but I was pleasantly surprised. Book the guy
that I used to do shows with in Boston from
the Boston Globe, Ben Vollen, will join us at noon.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Don't forget It's Cracking Ticket.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Cracking Ticket Tuesday on Sports Radio ninety three to three KJRFM.
We have your chance to win tickets. All you have
to do is listen for the sounder Kid will play
every hour, then call two h six two eight six
ninety five ninety five will take the tenth caller every
hour to win a pair of tickets to see the
crack and play December twenty ninth against the Vancouver Canucks.
Every hour to the end of Softy and Dick. You

(20:58):
get a chance to win a pair of Cracking tickets
on Cracking Ticket Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Okay, there's that.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
By the way, you know, there's a lot of bad
quarterbacks in the NFL. It is painful. It is painful
to see to a tongue of Iloa. I mean he
it is painful to watch this guy, really painful.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
All right, So much more coming up.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
It's MJ and the Midday Christopher Kid off to a
rousing start on a Tuesday right here on kJ our
sports A Radio ninety three to three.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
See.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
I want to I'm asking the question, who are the
real we know see Hawks? Who are the real Hawks?
Is it the team that went toe to toe with
the forty nine ers in the opener and you know,
could have won, and then you know Riek Wolland doesn't
make the play on the third string tight end Jake
Tangs in the back of the end zone. The team

(21:57):
that you know ends up giving up No, that was No.
Thirty eight to the Bucks at home and the team
that lost to the Rams. Or is the team that
we saw with impressive road winds now at Pittsburgh, at
Jacksonville and at home against Houston or is it just
kind of a combination of everything.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
I think they're a really good team. It's I had
state to call them great, but I'm not sure there
are many great teams in the National Football League right now.
I think against the Rams, they stood toe to toe
with them, and I think outplayed them when they played
them the first time and lost by two points, But
they were playing better football at that point than what

(22:33):
we've watched them play the last four weeks. I mean,
you let the Titans get back into a game with you,
you don't show up until the second half against the
Vikings and the Falcons. I mean, I don't know if
they're just desperate for this challenge. Maybe they're just that
good that they need this challenge this week to start
playing their best football. Because when they went into that

(22:55):
Rams game, they had dominated the Commanders, they had dominated
the Cardinals, and I thought out played the Rams. I
think that time they've not played as good a football
as they did for that stretch. So I think they're
very good. I think they're ready for this challenge and
I expect good results out of this. But will know,
I mean the way you ask that question, we're gonna

(23:16):
know after this game just what kind of team we're
dealing with her?

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, yeah, no backup, no rookie quarterback. This is a
guy who more than likely is gonna win the MVP.
The odds on Favorite now to win the MVP, especially
after the egg that Drake May and the Patriots laid
on Sunday, and you just look at this and it's like, Chuck,
I we just got to get And I think the
thing is when you look at the Seahawks, they're bottom
five right now in the NFL and rushing yards per carry,

(23:40):
and that to me is like, you know, football, at
the end of the day, Chuck comes down two things.
Run the ball, stop the run. Well, we know the ladder.
We ain't worried about the ladder. We know they could
stop the run. Got to run the ball, and you
got to run the ball consistently. And this is a
defense coming up that it's a mirror image of I mean,
right now, I feel like John Schneider built this organization

(24:04):
to be the foil to Sean McVay unless snead in
the Rams that they're the gold standard and the Seahawks
are trying to get to that level.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
I do believe you have to you have to be balanced.
If you're gonna win the Super Bowl, you better not
have a weakness. You better not. I always say balance
is not throwing the ball five times, running the ball
five times. Balance to me in the National Football League
is when you need to throw it, you can throw it,
and when you need to run it, you can run it.
To me, that's balanced into in the modern game. That said,

(24:38):
I don't want to sit here and try so desperately
to establish the run Thursday. I'm not gonna wait until
the third quarter to give up on it. I'm gonna
wait till like the second quarter are to give up
if I if I need to give I'm gonna try
to establish it. I'm gonna try to establish Walker. I'll
even try to establish Charbonney and the process. But I'm

(25:03):
I'm not going to in this big a game wait
as long as they've been waiting to strike my bread
and butter. And that is Sam Darnald throwing a JSN.
And let's face it, and so I hear you and
Greg Bell tells me every morning stressing the importance get
their running game. If they get the running game going,
look out because it's the only weakness that they really have.

(25:26):
Excellent special teams, excellent defense, excellent quarterback play, excellent time
about the rams are the sometime about seal?

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Yeah, I mean, you know, Donald has a couple of
moments here We're.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Pro Bowl caliber, no doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Maybe excellence too strong of a word.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
But if they.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
Can get the running game going, I think that you're
certainly a team that can beat anyone in the National
Football League on any given day. And and yet I
don't want in this game. I think it's too precious
to just sit here and just ram your head against
the wall, dig a seventeen point hole and then try
to come back in the second.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Yeah, you can't do it against these guys. Yeah, you've
been here a decade. You got here towards the tail
end of the Legion of Boom.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Era, about right. Ah? Yes?

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Okay, So is this the biggest regular season game? I
mean here in Seattle in close to a decade, Chuck.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
I think I might be a prisoner of the moment.
It certainly feels like it aren't we all, But I
do wonder if I did tap into that, if there
was one back in the Legion of Boom days, that
my because I got here after the player at the
one yard line. I got here right after Malcolm Butler. Okay,
so I missed the two Super Bowl years. Yeah so,

(26:41):
but I mean since you came here. So that's exactly
I mean.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
This is it's been a minute since.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
And I do know they had some monster regular season
games in the legion of Boom Era, yeah I was
a part of. But this is certainly the biggest that
I feel like I can remember. Yeah, I don't remember
one kind of move in the needle like this one.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Here's the thing, Chuck, there's a fine line between goals
and expectations. The goal is for thirty two teams, I'm
sure every year, even the Browns. Their goal on July
fifteenth was to win the Super Bowl. On September fifteenth,

(27:23):
their goal was to Okay, who are we going to
beginning in April in the draft now?

Speaker 2 (27:27):
And the fine line is the expectation.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
And I truly believe Chuck Bowell that if the Hawks
can pull this off on Thursday night, to me, now
you go from yep, you're right on target to achieve
your goal. But now it becomes well, there's four words,
super Bowl or bust. You win this game on Thursday night.

(27:51):
Here's my thing. You win on Thursday night, Chuck. I'm like,
at that juncture, you should win. I mean, at that
point you have to win out and you should get
the one seed. That's how much I'm putting. I call
this almost sort of a de facto NFC West Championship
game on I know you still got the Niners, I

(28:11):
get it, and you still got a tough road game
at Carolina.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
We saw what they did to the Rams.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
But this to me is like, you win this game,
then all of a sudden, it's like people here need
to start looking at hotel rooms in the Santa Clara
area in February.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
I state to say super Bowl or bus because in
my vernacular of terms, that means if you don't win
the Super Bowl, you've had a disappointing honesty championship. So
I can't I can't imagine this ending with a disappointing season,
no matter what you do in your last game. Okay,
that said, if you do win this game, I think

(28:45):
you absolutely I mean, right now you're two in the
in terms of Vegas favorites to win the Super Bowl.
You definitely catapult yourself into the position to be number
one seed. And therefore, yeah, you give yourself entirely to
the notion of man, this team could win the Super Bowl.
Exist teams or maybe you even go as far as

(29:05):
this team's gonna win the super Bowl. They're the best
team in the National Football League right now. I think
you can allow yourself to entertain that I won't go
Super Bowl or bust because I think there are scenarios
in your last game of the year where even though
it might be disappointing to it, have it in that way,
you certainly have had a successful year. There weren't a
lot of people expecting this team to end up eleven

(29:28):
and three fourteen games the day.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
No, no, I think when originally this schedule, I had
eleven wins and then I went down to ten.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
They've already eclipsed both I had twelve. I was I
was good for you. Ye, you should have gone on
the over. You should have gone the over one point.
Chuck was seven and a half. Yeah, the year it
was seven and a half. Like that's insane.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Chuck Powell, you know them, Bucky Jacobs, and they do
a great job. Chuck and Buck every day in the
morning with Ashley Ryan. We appreciate you taking time in
your busy schedule. I hope I didn't, you know, take
you away from I know you have a post show meeting,
but I grabbed you in here. You can blame it
on me and I love and I always love you
know your stuff, you guys. I listen every day and win,

(30:09):
especially with Rick new Heiseel. I listen every Tuesday, especially
at at nine.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
I know new.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Heiseel's gonna be on. I looked out you got him
last week. Whether or not he was gonna be the
next coach. Well we found out that didn't happen. But
nonetheless we appreciate making time and Thursday night, man, it
is on.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
It's a big one. This is as big as it gets.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
It's weird. Sitting in Bucky's chair, by the way, this
whole perspective of the room. I'm thrown off.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
A little bit.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
You gotta get you back over that, all right, So
that's too funny, man, all right?

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Hitting the all fields coming up next, and then Huesday,
Tuesday with Hugh Millan at eleven right here on MJ in.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
The Midday Sports Radio ninety three three KJRFM. A football
field vibe. Is that what he is? Is he kind
of like a football savant?

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Like how would you explain Mike McDonald.

Speaker 6 (30:54):
Mike's awesome, Like he's he's a players coach. But when
it's time to work hard, we work hard here, we
have fun when you know we're in the locker room
and we're about like around the facility. One of our
big things is loose and focused and he start it
starts with him and then it carries through the locker room.
And he's smart, smart as hell, really, I mean, you've
seen what he's on the defense, and he gets kind

(31:15):
of fiery on game day and we'll have his back
no matter what.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
Loose and focused, love everything about that. That's a tough balance,
you know for some places that.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Carol, all right.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Dad was Pat McAfee talking to Jason Myers JM Seahawks
game winning field goal kicker six of them on Sunday
about Mike McDonald and he's he's focused, but he's loose.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
He's so young.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
He's thirty eight years old, you know, I mean, he's
not you know, you look at some guys that you know,
Leonard Williams and whatnot, Like he's not that much older
than Leonard Williams, Jaron Reid. He's only he's thirty eight
years old. Mike McDonald I was shocked to find out
he's younger than Miko Rians. I thought to Miko Rians
was the youngest coach in the NFL. So interesting to

(32:06):
hear that side and see how great he is. And yeah,
I guess you might have to go back to twenty
nineteen against the final regular season game of the year
against the San Francisco forty nine Ers that season, it
was for division and home field, and unfortunately the Niners
ended up winning that game. And I believe that year

(32:29):
they went to the Super Bowl with Jimmy g and
losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. So
Huesday Tuesday, Hugh Millen coming up next. We'll get into
what happened on Sunday and what needs to happen coming

(32:51):
up on Thursday night, as this is one of the
biggest regular season games in the last decade that we've
seen and it's here in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
So we'll talk to Huesday coming up.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Huesday Tuesday coming up next, and then Ben Vollen from
the Boston Globe will join us coming up at the
top of the noon hour. Don't forget stay tuned to
when you hear that sounder, and you be the tenth
caller and you can win cracking tickets on Cracking Ticket Tuesday,
