Speaker 1 (00:00):
How's everything going with you with the Boston Globe and
everything up there in New England in the Mike Rabel
Drake may Era, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Great to hear from you, Mark, thanks for having me
on today. It's been a fun season cover the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I mean, no one expected them to be eleven to
three and competing for the number one seed. You know,
after consecutive seasons of four and thirteen. He thought, okay,
maybe if they win eight or nine games, that'd be
a nice season for them, a good building block.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
And here they are. They won ten straight games.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
They you know, they beat up on a lot of
bad teams, but they kept getting the job done. You know,
ten straight weeks. You have to give them a lot
of credit for that. Drake may looks like a bona
fide superstar, and I think a lot of fans are
rolling their eyes, like I can't believe the Patriots are back.
I think people were kind of reveling and the Patriots
being down the last few years. But they look like
they've got the coach and the quarterback now. So it's

(00:57):
been a really fun, kind of surprising season here. I
don't expect it to end in a you know, Super
Bowl or anything like that. But everything obviously has been
all gravy here for the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
How did they blow a twenty one point lead on
Sunday to Buffalo at home?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, I mean you could say they blew it.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I just think that over sixty minutes, Buffalo proved that
they were clearly the better team, and that the Patriots,
you know, twenty one nothing in the first half is
not putting Josh Allen away by any stretch.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
That's the team.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
The Bills number one team in point differential in the
second half by a wide margin, there by far the
best second half team in the NFL. And Josh Allen
could score in a hurry, I mean five straight touchdown drives.
You know, you saw a Patriots team. Like My prediction
going in was the Bills are gonna win, and I
based that on I thought the Bills were the better
team in the trenches on both sides. I thought their

(01:50):
offensive line was better than the Patriots defense, who's run
defense has been really struggling the last month or so,
and the Patriots offensive line has really been struggling in
the last month. They can't score in the red zone,
can't get much push and short yardage so I thought,
you know, the Bills would be it's hard to pick
the Patriots when I think the Bills are better in

(02:11):
the trenches on both sides, and I think, you know,
the Patriots they did jump.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Over sixty minutes.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It kind of bore out that way that the Bills
were just the more dominant team and the Patriots, you know,
like they are kind of who we thought they were.
They're a good team right now, but they're not a
great team, and especially with injuries to Milton Williams, Robert
Splaine on defense or without their left tackle will Pampbell.
So the Patriots, it's been a great season, but they're

(02:39):
not a great team. And I think that that's what
you saw on Sunday against.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Buffalo, you know, finally, And I didn't think it was
gonna happen, and I certainly didn't think it was going
to happen this soon that Robert Craft was able to
find the air apparent to Tom Brady. And I'm not
saying he is Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and getting
Drake May and Mike Vrabel and you mentioned that like nobody,

(03:07):
I just didn't see it happening so quickly. That being said,
you and I were there, you were there at the end.
I was there for the last three years of Tom Brady.
That just how does New England? And I got to
ask this to Ben because you know what's coming on
tonight at six o'clock here local time, nine o'clock on
the East Coast. Weiss has a two hour documentary and

(03:31):
I heard it is not exactly a puff piece on
Bill Belichick and his twenty four year old gold digger
girlfriend Jordan Hudson. So how does New England view Bellichick
now as opposed to when he was unsermously removed, despite

(03:52):
the fact that he still claims it was a mutual
parting of Way's air quotes.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I lost you for two seconds, but I think you're
asking me Bill Belichick, and how do fans here view him?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, yeah, especially with what his life in career has
devolved to a guy who was the worst team in
the ACC losing, getting his ass kicked by wake Force,
and now letting his twenty four year old gold digger
girlfriend make an embarrassment of his legacy.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Well, I have a pretty good idea how you feel
about it?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, I would say I would say people in Boston
did kind of revel in Belichick's downfall a little bit
this year. The fact that UNC went four and eight,
the fact that he was a distraction off the field
with his girlfriend and with some of the stuff that
he was doing, like banning the Patriots scouts from their

(04:50):
facility at UNC. Just a lot of pettiness, and so,
you know, I did get a sense that a lot
of fans were kind of, you know, reveling.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
In his misery a little bit.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
But you know, there's also a lot of Bill Belichick
fans still here and.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
A lot of people who don't quite buy.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
The narrative that it was all Tom Brady during the
six championships in the dynasty. I think Belichick still had
a significant role in all the success the Patriots had,
so they're still like the way I look at it,
I just thought it was kind of sad. I hate
to see him finishing up his career in a place
like UNC. I hate to see him going four and eight.
I wanted to see him do a little bit better.

(05:31):
And I don't take any pleasure in seeing this version
of Bill Belichick, because I mean, for twenty twenty five years,
he was the most respected man in the NFL. Feared,
you know, one of the you know, considered a coaching genius,
and so I haven't really enjoyed seeing how things have
turned out for him at UNC.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Yeah, it's called out of Bounds and it's tonight. It's
a two hour documentary on Bill Belichick and Georgie Hudson.
And I mean, you just hear from so many people,
and some are anonymous, but like even Charles Barkley has
come out and said, we need to get an intervention,
and I mean it's really set like Ben at this juncture.

(06:12):
And you know, I'm just sad for him because everything
that he's built up seems like it's been completely a
house of cards since he and her have been together.
It's he's like if you mentioned, like you said, twenty five,
I mean, listen, he's been the NFL for forty plus years,
going back to his days when he was with the

(06:33):
Baltimore Colts in the seventies and and then of course
winning two Super Bowls with Parcels and the Giants in
the late eighties. And to see it, to see him now,
it's like, did you ever feel like you would look
at Bill Belichick and feel sorry for him?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I definitely never expected that, you know.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
At the same time, like he's just coaching football. It's
not overly something too serious in his life that you
know we're talking about here, So it's still just coaching football.
And uh, you know, I do have to give him
a little credit, like as like I said, it's kind
of sad team at UNC and going four and eight,
but like it is a sign that all he wants

(07:14):
to do is coach and that he's willing to do
it at a place like UNC that doesn't have, uh,
you know, a big tradition of football, and the man
knows what he loves and it's it's coaching football. So yeah,
I mean, I think UNC kind of feels like they
were sold to Bill of Goods. They thought they were
getting a coaching genius. And I think Bill is still
like a great coach. But what made him great at

(07:35):
in New England was the staff he built and the
continuity built with you know, guys like Josh McDaniels and
Dante Scarnecia and Nick Cassario and having the same year
after year, yeah, and Matt Patricia and having Tom Brady
and you know, Ernie Adams, on and on, and he
doesn't have any of that support system now at UNC.
So uh, anyone expecting him to be a genius without

(07:57):
all the great people who got him there, that's just
not realistic.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
But so I do think.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
That, you know, UNC probably feels like they got sold
a bill of goods, and I think they're probably gonna
have a short leash. But they still owe him twenty
million dollars over two years, and maybe there's a group
of donors willing to cut a big check.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
But I think UNC.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Feels like they're gonna give it one more chance and
see if Bill Belichick can turn it around.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Ben Vollen from the Boston Globe, Ben, I want to
ask you about the team here, the Seattle Seahawks, which
a lot of people regarding, you know, arguably the best
team in the NFL. We'll find that out Thursday night. Now,
it's taken Seattle longer to get back to, you know,
kind of where New England, New England, which it's been
a few years, the Mac, the Cam Newton error, the

(08:41):
Mac Jones error, and obviously, certainly I tell people I'm
still to this day, I want everybody out there just
to just to think about two years ago. Gerrod Mayo
and Antonio Pierce were head coaches in the NFL. Let
that sink in for a second, that actually happened.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Literally. Now we move on.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
The Seattle Seahawks right now are in a position hired
Mike McDonald, he's in his second year. You're going up against,
like I said, arguably the best team in the NFL,
best defense in the NFL. And now you have what
could be the biggest regular season game coming up Thursday
night against the Rams. How much do you look at

(09:23):
this Seattle Seahawks team under Mike McDonald, who's thirteen and
two on the road. How much do you look at
them and just say, wow, it looks like the Seahawks
are back.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah, absolutely there. I think one of the two or
three best teams in the NFL this year. Mike McDonald,
I think has been a terrific coach, gotten that defense
turned around quickly. You mentioned the road record, They've been
phenomenal on the road. So even if they lose to
the Rams and the Seahawks have to be a wild
card team, I don't think that's gonna phase them.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
You know.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
You know, Sam Donald too has that a tremendous year.
I think you have to give the Seahawks a lot
of credit for knowing when to move on from their
offensive coordinator, bringing in a new voice this year, one
of the Kubiak suns yep. And Sam Donald's been tremendous.
I think, you know, probably hasn't gotten enough buzz for
m VT, but you look at all the analytics, he

(10:14):
is at the top of a lot of stats. Now
that said, I think in a must have game, I
still have my reservations about Sam Donald. I you know,
we saw it in Minnesota last year and he's had
a couple of stinkers this year. The Seahawks have still
managed to get by despite them. But I definitely trust
Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
More in a big game.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I probably trust Jalen Hurts more in a big game.
Still not quite sure what to think of Sam Donald
in a you know, big spot come January. But the
Seahawks have been a tremendous team this year. And the
only unfortunate thing is they happen to play in the
same division with two other really good teams in the
Rams and the forty nine ers. But the Seahawks are

(10:56):
definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
I was just gonna you kind of you know, let
it out. I'm gonna scale of one to ten. You
can use the decimal point afterwards. How much do you
trust Sam Donald to win big playoff games in January?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Like a five to a six right now.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Yeah, it's about he's never done it.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
You know.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
It's one of those things where you got to do
it before I really start to trust you. And you know,
Joe Burrow did it early in his career, so like,
you know, we know that Joe Burrow in a big
game is going to show up. But Sam Donald hasn't
had He hasn't had a lot of opportunities. But I
was a big one last year and you know they
went fourteen to three with the Vikings, but no one
in Minnesota felt that great about the season when you're

(11:38):
still losing the wild card round. So you know, Donald
has had a really great, you know, kind of inspiring
career turnaround, but I'm not I don't have the confidence
that he's gonna win these big playoff games until he
does it once or twice.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
No, it's it's true. I mean that that's the way.
And that's when I looked at the Patriots as well.
I'm like, you know what, there it's a nice regular
season story. I don't trust him in the playoffs. And
we kind of saw that on Sunday, that was sort
of a preview, and I'm like, there was the ample
shot to kind of that was your chance to go
for the kills shot on Buffalo. You're up twenty one

(12:12):
points and the MVP. He goes into a phone booth
and he comes out with a Superman cape and that's
what he does. So Ben, this NFL postseason is obviously
going to be huge. And you know, like when you
talk about the Matthew Stafford era with him playing last year,
you know McVeigh sat all who starters in the final

(12:33):
regular season game of the year, so that doesn't count
and Jimmy g was the starter for that game and
the Seahawks took care of that. But Matthew Stafford is
undefeated as the Rams starting quarterback versus the Seahawks. He's
six and oh, we'll see what happens coming up on
Thursday night. I know you're a football guy, you cover football,
You've done it. I've got to ask you a hypothetical

(12:55):
question and I'll explain why afterwards. I want to pretend
that the Boston Red Sox went to ALCS Game seven
and Alex Cora pulled Garrett Crochet after four to the
thirds innings when he was pitching brilliantly. And then later
on instead of going to his closer out of the

(13:17):
bullpen when George Springer was coming up, he went with
a middle reliever that shouldn't been put in that spot.
What would the Boston media be doing to Alex Cora
if that happened.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, they'd be roasting him over and open fire, no question.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Yeah, uh, you know, baseball isn't quite you know in
the sporting conversation like it used to be. I mean,
if that was football, i'd be a week a week's
worth of discussion. But here in Boston, no question, Red
Sox they blew. I mean the people still talk about
the Grady Little game back in two thousand and three
when he pulled Pedro Martinez too soon.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
So no question.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
If you had your eighth roll and you take them
out because of a pitch count or you just say that,
that would not go over well here in Boston.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
I promise you that.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
No.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
No. Meanwhile, I would tell you we need more people
like Ben Volan and Dan Shaughnessy in this market because
they would keep the teams and the coaches and the
managers much more on their toes because nobody has written.
The next time I see a critical article about Dan
Wilson in his missteps in the postseason will be the

(14:26):
first one. So then you are you need to clone
yourself and send one out here to Pacific Northwest.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
If I get a double paycheck, absolutely, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
All right, We'll do that. Volan always a pleasure to
talk to me. You know what you come off. Here's
the thing about Volan. I will say this, and I
say this affectionately because you're my guy, so I could
say this. You know, you get you know, people talk
about you in Boston and troll in Volan, you are
much tougher with the pen than you are with the mic.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
You're very nice on the.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
You are you know that right? Like with the pen, dude,
you go right for the juggular. On the mic, You're good,
but you're you're a lot more nicer on the mic.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Well, I guess you know, we just got to find
the right topics and then I'll go for the juggle.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
I gave you.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Chum in the water, Bill Belichick, and you like pulling
butcheres on them.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Well, you know what, you know what, Mark, The thing
that's got me this farmer career is having authentic opinions.
And I don't fake outrage when when I don't need to,
and it makes it when I do have outrage that much.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
More effective by the way. I love it I do.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
You're the best, man, And uh, we'll uh, we'll go
to Santapio's next time I'm up in Boston.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Okay, sounds good. All right, Ben, we'll.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Talk to you Ben Vallen from the Boston Globe. Oh, man,
he is with a red pen. Oh he's cutthroat. Dan Shaughnessy,
they I mean, I'm telling you right now, if Dan
Wilson was in that market and he did to the
Red Sox what he did to the Mariners in ALCS
Game seven, they'd.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
Be crucifying him.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
You saw what the Eagles fans did when they egged
their offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo's house. You would only wish
that they would do the only wish that that would
happen if he pulled that what he did in Game
seven the ALCS. I gotta bring it up. Hey, it's
the wounds are still fresh. The wounds are still fresh.

(16:32):
October wasn't that long ago. It was only two months ago,
so I got to bring it up. And I'm still
bitter about that because I think that the Seattle Mariners
could have even should have gone the World Series. Do
I think they would have beaten the Dodgers in a
best of seven? Probably not, but I would have loved
to just seen him got there. So hopefully next year
that'll happen.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
What do you say?

Speaker 1 (16:53):
TEXTA The Day brought to you by Bor said, Coming
up next right here with Christopher Kidd four nine four
or five one MJ in the mid.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
From the R and R.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Foundation Specialist Broadcast Studio.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Now back damn J in the midday.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
On your home for the Huskies, Cracking and the twelfth
Man Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ R FM.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Before we get cracking here I and speaking of kracking, kid,
this kind of goes with it. I want to think
the better half of Mike Benton, missus Amy, Missus Mike Benton,
Amy Benton. She made these, kid, you try one? I
had two, Okay, kid, I'm not over selling it. She

(17:41):
made these unbelievable mint brownies that are I'm just like Ford.
I'm Ford right now, I'm there so good. So missus Benton.
We love your husband, but we love your brownies too.
You're brown are phah nominal phuh nominal.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I mean y'all better get some more because I'm gonna
be going back for you know, seconds and thirds. They're
gonna be gone pretty soon. They'll be gone way before
Softy and Dick get to uh the station.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Man, these are great, all right, kid? Lead us off man.
All Right.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
I actually I'm gonna go with this one because I
think it's fair. Considering you've been talking about Bradford this morning.
How is Bradford ranked ahead of Zabel? Zabel's been not
playing well recently. He's been playing and he you know,
to his credit or blame, he's actually a minuted it.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
He said, I've got to play better. He's a rookie.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I mean, he's you know, I mean, he just hasn't
been playing well. He got off to a great start,
he did. But the NFL kid, the Saint FBS football,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (19:00):
You know NFL is you know. All I know is this.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I'm gonna say one thing and I'm not saying that
Gray's Abel won't be a franchise left guard.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Your boy wanted Donovan Jackson.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
From Ohio State. I wanted Donovan Jackson from Ohio State.
He went to the Vikings just saying, like will a
lot of big sample sides we need to see before
we start rendering verdicts.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Here.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
I wanted Donovan Jackson. I want a guy who plays
in the biggest level period From Tim, oh, I love
this one. One of the biggest worst travesties this year
is Joe Buck winning the Ford Frick Award. His whole
career is based on his dad's coattails. He might be
the worst baseball broadcaster I've ever listened to. Now, I'm
not gonna go that far, Tim, but you and I

(19:51):
are in the hate Joe Buck fan club with a
lot of people here in Seattle.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
So so I'm with you on that.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Okay, I am with you on that. I think he's
a good I think he's very good broadcaster. I just
can't stand him. And I will tell you at least
Joe Buck, though, has talent and ability that has lasted
over thirty plus years in counting, there's somebody else on

(20:19):
an NFL broadcast. Perhaps you've seen a kid on Sunday Night.
If you look at the broadcast, got Maria Taylor woo
definitely like her, Chris Simms excellent, Mike Florio great, Jason
Garrett very good, Mike Turrico to me, the goat. Chris
Collinsworth wins all the Emmys justifiably. So Rodney Harrison brings

(20:45):
a player's perspective.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
I like at.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Devin McCarthy's on that love Dema Cordy. And then we
get to Jack Collinsworth. I will take your Joe Buck
and I will raise you Jack collin because you talk
about nepotism, you want to talk about white privilege, Look
at Jack Collinsworth because there's no way in hell if

(21:10):
that guy's last name was Williams and his dad was
a plumber, He's the Bronnie James of broadcasting. Actually, you
know what, Bronnie James is better in the NBA than
Jack Collinsworth is at at Brad.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
That is painful, painful. And if you ever have.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
To watch Sunday a football pre game and you see, hey,
there's a reason he was demoted as the play by
play announcer from Notre Dame football.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
For a couple of years. You know what they had
to do. They had to go in with the right here.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
They had to tap the arm there and go to
the bullpen and bring out Iron Eagle's son, Noah Eagle.
By the way, you can go with that nepotism, stiff.
But here's the thing about it. Noah Eagle is great.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
He's not.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
He's not you know, NEPO bay. He's great. He might
be one day better than his dad. He's on his
way to being better than his dad. I'm good friends
with his dad. Jack Collinsworth, Oh, don't get me started.
Do not get me started. You could take all the
NEPO babies in this world. Jack Collinsworth might golea junior.
Oh my god, they make me sick. They make me

(22:19):
want a puke. At least Joe Buck and Noah Eagle
and Chris Simms, whose fathers were famous, are great on
the air. Jack Collinsworth, dude, he shouldn't be on Public
Access TV. He's horrible, all right, Okay, I just had
to do it. Sorry, I just had to do it. Sorry, kid,

(22:43):
you can go PIMJ.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
I'm a diehard Seahawks fan, but I think the ramble
went on Thursday and I will bet that too.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Just business all right, fair enough, fair enough, fair enough.
I and you know what he's probably he might be right,
he might be right.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
Great.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
You couldn't go the whole show without bringing it up,
Dammager again, like throwing from the two yard line in
the Super Bowl. Now I know the reason why I
brought it up is because I want to show each
and every one of you, because I like, we're I
you're my boss's okay at the end of the day,
like you know, like the end of the day, like

(23:23):
the audience is my bosses. So I want to I
want to show you that if you were in a
hard hitting, no punches pulled media market like Boston, Philly
or New York City, Dan Wilson beyond the verge of
getting fired just saying for the crap that he pulled,
the stint that he pulled in the ALCS, and not

(23:45):
only the ALCS, the entire playoffs, go back to the
series against Detroit. He got bailed out by hore Planco
in Game five, so you know he'd be getting vilified
and crucified literally and figuratively Seattle. The next critical article
I read from the Seattle Times about Dan Wilson will

(24:09):
be the first.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
One last one from me. This is interesting.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
Not sure who needs to hear this, but point differential
is dumb. One hundred and thirty one of those points
came in five games against bad teams Saints, Cards, Commanders, Falcons,
and Vikings.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
MJ.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
I pose this to you.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
Who are your top three teams in the NFL outside
of the Seahawks. So we know the Seahawks, Okay, Denver?

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Okay? And are you talking about to win it all? Possibly?

Speaker 6 (24:38):
Just top yes, Rams Denver? Own out the Seahawks, Rams, Denver,
and give me one more. No, Seahawks, Okay, that's obvious.
They're number one.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
I would.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Home.

Speaker 7 (24:50):
I'll give you the Seahawks. Fine, we'll go with those three.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
No no no no no no no no no no no.
But if you want include Seahawks and go Ram Seahawks Denver?
All right?

Speaker 6 (24:57):
Okay, you want other point differential, Mjay? Where would you
like start? Give me a team that you just named those?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Well, the Seahawks is like my one sixty three sixty three, right, disgusting.

Speaker 7 (25:06):
They beat on Bete, which you're supposed to.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Do, right.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
Who would that second team?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Kay?

Speaker 6 (25:11):
You said the Rams? Yeah, one fifty nine. Okay, and
what was that third team in j Denver, Denver eighty one?
You know what is all similar with all three teams.
They beat on the bad teams. That's what good football
teams do. Yeah, you're supposed to do that well. And
here's another thing to kid like the old the old adage.
Good teams win, great teams cover. Right, those points come

(25:33):
versus bad teams. It's not a knock. That's the point, right.
You should smoke every bad team you play against. That's
why I think in twenty twenty four last season, I
forget who led. Was it the Ravens? Maybe I forget
who led? But their defense, oh my bad was the Lions.
I think their point differential was over two hundred points.
They smoked all the bad teams that they played. They

(25:55):
beat the Jaguars fifty six to fourteen last season or
something crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
That's what you're to do. And let me just tell
you this, and how is huge? Let me tell you
how much better the Rams and Seahawks not only point inferential.
Let me give you one stat that you know, me
being a gambling guy, kill the music here, kill the music,
and I'm gonna I'm gonna riff Here for a second.
The Denver Broncos, who have won eleven one score games

(26:21):
this year ats against the spread are six and eight.
The LA Rams and this an hour Seattle Seahawks. You
know it's I said hour, not yours, not mine hour.
Do you know what they are this year? They're ten
and four ATS. They're playing each other on Thursday night.
They're ten and four against the spread. That's why these

(26:44):
this is basically not only the NFC West Championship game,
this should become the NFC Championship game on that third
Sunday in January. That's how great these teams are, ten
and four ATS, it's amazing, it's unbelievable. And that's how

(27:05):
much better they are. And I'll tell you right now,
I'll go you one further. If the Seahawks played the
Broncos in the Super Bowl, Seahawks would be a four
point favorite. If the Rams played the Broncos in the
Super Bowl, the Rams would be a five and a
half to six point favorite. Just saying that's what the
lines would be. The Seahawks in Rams are a Maybach

(27:27):
and a Bugatti. You can't go wrong with it. You
can't go wrong with either. That's exactly what you're getting,
and I can't wait for Thursday night. I can't wait
for it. So did you like that? Oh, I'm jealous
of Jack Collinsworth. I'm a clent Okay, I'm jealous because
my dad had a blue collar job and my dad

(27:49):
didn't get me any job in my profession. Really, where
would Jack collins Worth be without his father, Chris? You
know where you'd be selling insurance or doing something else
because he sures how wouldn't be on National Network TV. Okay,
I'm not jealous because Jack Collinsworth and his wettest dreams

(28:10):
doesn't have one iota of the talent inability that I
do on the air period exclamation point.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
I'm not a NEPO baby.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
I've made it to six markets and I penetrated all
six of them with having no connection to any one
of them on my own merit, talent and ability. Maybe
nepo baby Jack should try it for a change. You're welcome,
You've been served. That's the ether now STFU, we'll talk
next and we'll preview the Ian Fornesshell
