Speaker 1 (00:00):
Enter b a NK now on our website ninety three
to three KJR dot com for your chance at one
thousand dollars. Hope everyone enjoyed your NFL Draft weekend. It
was certainly, let's just say, climatic in a lot of ways.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
It was. It was definitely not disinteresting.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
And the Seattle Seahawks had quite a weekend. And I
always measure a team basically how they do in terms
of their top picks in the draft. Oh by the way,
my name's MJ. In the midday mark with a C.
(00:46):
James here with you two one o'clock. So for Seattle,
I think Schneider on paper. You can't say that phrase
enough on paper. Through the first three rounds did a
really good job. Gray's Abel, who we talked about on Friday,
was the eighteenth overall pick guard out of North Dakota
(01:07):
State second round Nick emm and Warri safety South Carolina,
and then and they traded up into the second round
to get him with the thirty fifth overall pick, because
he certainly wouldn't have been there at fifty. They kept
the fiftieth pick overall, and they took my guy from
(01:28):
the U Elijah Arroyo, who I got to watch for
the last four years at the University of Miami. So
let's start with em and Warri just an absolute stud
I mean a guy that I look at him and
I see yet he's got safety size, but he to
me has cover corner ability, and that's what you want.
(01:51):
And a guy that to me that when you look
at Mike McDonald and what he had in ball more
with Kyle ha Hamilton coming out of Notre Dame, Nick Emman,
Worrey is exactly that guy and he could hopefully be
the Kyle Hammilton of the Seahawks, or maybe even be
(02:13):
better than Kyle Hamilton has been with the Baltimore Ravens.
But that's saying something, as he's been pretty spectacular to
say the least. I was shocked because you want certain things,
and you remember how I've been on this show. Been
beaten the tight end drum for the Seahawks for a
(02:35):
long time right now, been beating it. Need a tight
end first round and have an issue with it because
it filled a major need. So Zabel, as long as
the scouting department and John Schneider did their job, he
should hopefully fill that position at guard or center for
(02:58):
the next ten to fifteen years, barring an unforeseen injury
or him just being a flat out bust, so that.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
One I liked.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I would have liked Em and worri there at eighteen.
But then they took the fifty second pick, and they
traded up to get to that spot with Tennessee who
moved down and took EM and Worriy who's certainly a
first round talent at thirty five. So right then and there,
(03:30):
I'm I'm loving life. And then then with the pick
that they held fiftieth overall, they take Elijah Royal. And
let me just tell you something about Elijah Royal. He's
a guy who his freshman year unbelievable. His sophomore in
junior year, he only played a total of eleven games
at Miami combined eleven games, and he's someone that really
(03:58):
played well this year. You might say, well, why did
only have you know, seven or eight touchdowns? Because it
was an embarrassment of riches. It just it just was
jacolby George Uh you look at Xavier or Strepo. Samuel
Brown transferred over from the University of Houston. He was,
(04:19):
you know, an early season Blentnikoff Award finalist. It was
an embarrassment of riches. If he was at Penn State's
offense and he was in the position of Tyler Warren,
he would have had Tyler Warren numbers. But Penn State
didn't have the receivers that Miami did. Miami had the
(04:41):
most prolific offense in college football history, led by the
all time leader of touchdown passes in college football history,
cam Ward. So I can tell you with a second
your two second round picks, you had first round value
in potential, and that's something that I looked for and see,
(05:03):
like how you take care of the you know that
part of the draft. Oh, in Miami had a guy
by the name of Isaiah Horton who caught seventy passes
eight hundred yards and six touchdowns, who just transferred to
Alabama on the portal. So when you have you have Horton,
you have Jacolby, George xavier 'streppo and Arroyo, and then
(05:24):
you were throwing, you know, to a certain guy of
the backfield who the Seahawks ended up taking in the
seventh round, by the name of Damien Martinez. A lot
of people up here in back twelve country probably got
familiar with him at Oregon State and what he used
to do to the Huskies.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, so but let's go from there. And I was just.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Beside myself with Elijah Royo because it's one of those
things where you want it to happen. So, you know,
I wanted Tyler Warren and you know that I wanted
to Colston Loveland, but then Arroyo happens in the second round.
And it's something that where when you want something to
happen in the team that you're covering, the team that
you are now invested in. You're a resident of Seattle
(06:08):
and you want to be successful. You don't ever think
they're gonna take a guy that you want. I mean,
you guys have been Seahawk fans your entire lives, and
you probably wanted them to take guys in the draft
that they never did. They passed on and some probably
for the better and some they ended up paying for
it in the end, right Jalen Carter. But when they
(06:31):
took Elijah Royo, I was just like great. And then
Dick Fane was texting me and he's like, do you
want to come on with us? Being softy and you
I said absolutely, because nobody's watched Elijah Royo more than
me or in this whole market. And I watched Jamie Martinez,
not just at Miami, but certainly when he was at
Oregon State as well. So to get him in the
(06:54):
seventh round, I can't believe he was still there in
the seventh round. He had a slow combine, but a
seventh round pick. So he say he is, say he
does suck, Say he does suck. You're not a bust
when you're a seventh round pick. Your a seventh round pick.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
For a reason.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
If Tom Brady ended up not being the goat, he
wasn't a bust. He was taking one hundred and ninety
ninth overall in the sixth round. That's not a bust.
So now round three the pick that they got from
the Raiders for Gino Smith, Jalen Milrow, I think in
(07:32):
this offense, and maybe because who's the new oc here
Clint Kubiak, Where did he come from New Orleans?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Who did he coach?
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Taysom Mill I see Jalen Milrow in that situation of
short yardage. The dude is fast as lightning, he's strong
as an ox. But I ask every one of you
out there, who's listening to my sexy voice right now?
(08:02):
How many touchdown passes did you throw this year in
college football?
Speaker 2 (08:09):
How many?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I don't hear you. Oh that would be Oh, that's
because it would be zero. Well that's the same amount
as I've thrown in my career in college football. Well,
Jaylen Milroe only threw five more touchdown passes than each
and every one of us did this past season, and
he had ten interceptions. And by the way, I've got
it on great authority, Kaylin de Boor didn't want him back.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Didn't want him back. They wanted to move in a
different direction.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
So I don't know if him going into the draft
was something that he necessarily wanted to do, but it
worked out for him. He's a third round pick, which
is about commensurate with him.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Now.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I said before the draft, and I'm going to say
it now, Jalen and I nickname him can't throw.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Milrow.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
When I say he can't throw, he's got an arm
like a bazooka. But to me, it's about accuracy. He
can't throw accurately. That to me is what I'm talking about.
So I think he comes in here now he'll be
a third string guy behind Drew Locke, and he'll be
a guy that could be a Taysom Hill here in
(09:22):
Seattle in situations where you need the quarterback push, which
that name I hate calling it. I'll just call it
the QB push, all right, the Reggie Bush push, which
is where it originated back at USC twenty years ago.
So first three rounds, i'd have to say about an
(09:45):
A to a minus. There, I'm loving it. Fourth round
traded away. Fifth round Riley Mills defensive end, Notre Dame. Okay,
there's a reason he dropped to the fifth round. Made
some plays at Notre Dame help lead them to the
National Championship Game this year where they lost to Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Don't I don't mind it.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
You make the defense even stronger there in the fifth round.
You make a top five defense, perhaps even better. Then
we go offense for the rest of the draft. Round
five from Cleveland, Tory Horton, wide receiver, Colorado State. Interesting pick,
(10:32):
don't hate it. We'll see what happens. It's fifth round,
one seventy five. Compensatory Robbie Outs full back Alabama.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Again.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
I'm not big on fullbacks in NFL offenses anymore, but
we'll see then gotta solidify that O line. Bryce Cable
Dooe Guard, Kansas sixth round pick one hundred and ninety two,
absolute need. Round seven, the aforementioned Damien Martinez two hundred
(11:09):
and twenty third pick overall. If he's good. I'll say
this about Damie Martinez. I don't see him hurt. He's
pretty healthy. So that's something that Kenneth Walker perhaps needs to.
You know, we've seen it time and time again. There
was a guy who got drafted in the sixth round
by the Denver Broncos named Terrell Davis.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Look what happened there.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Not saying Damie Martinez is Terrell Davis, but you need
depth at the position. It's a seventh round pick. I
don't have any problem with it. Staying on offense, specifically
the O line. They get a tackle out of Iowa
Mason Richmond, and they close out with a pick number
two thirty eight overall, Ricky White, the third wide receiver
(11:55):
UNLV So from on paper overall, I would give this
about a B plus two, perhaps an AS overall only
because we don't know what's gonna happen with the fifth
to seventh round picks.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
If two of those hit.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
This is an A plus draft, and that's providing that
all four first three round picks hit, Zabel em and
Moory Arroyo Milroe, So Milroe to me is very intriguing.
And I also love the fact that John Schneider passed
on the Circus Clown Show, which we'll get to coming
up next hour, which a lot of teams did. Oh,
(12:38):
by the way, you have my word, and I want
you to call me out if we ever do this again.
And I'll get to this coming up next hour. I
will never ever look at this guy's mock draft for
the rest of my career on the air. And that
guy's name is mel Kiper Junior. I know he was
(12:59):
the NFL draft. Mel Kuiper was a guy who I
looked up to and idolized. I did, But there comes
a time in everybody's life where it's just time to
step aside. Happened to Pat Summer. All happened to John Madden,
both of them. Rest in peace happened to Brent Musburger.
It's now happened to mel kiper Junior, who looked like
(13:21):
an absolute fool all weekend long on ESPN. And I'm
hoping the guys that were sitting to the right of
him there in Green Bay on the set field. Gates
and Matt Miller will be taking over the draft from
here on out. Mel It's been a wonderful ride. You've
had a great career. You are in essence the NFL Draft,
(13:45):
and I'll say it, I can't think of NFL Draft
without saying Mel Kiper. But there comes a time and
ESPN was looking to get rid of him about twenty
years ago. That's why they brought a young guy by
the name of Todd mcshahan with his scouts in service
to evaluate prospects and Kuyper, to his credit, he outlasted
(14:08):
mcshag the same way that Tom Brady outlasted Jimmy Garoppolo,
Ryan Mallett, Cliff Kingsbury and every quarterback drafted after him.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Kudos to Mel.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
There's a time in a place where you just have
to say enough is enough. And it got so bad
this weekend for Mel Kiper Junior. And forget about social media,
but I mean everybody in social media was calling for
his job. But like Dave Chappelle said, the world's greatest comedian,
Twitter isn't even a real place. So who cares ultimately,
(14:45):
if you're secure within your own skin. There are people
who called for eye jobs every day on Twitter for
years and years and years, and I'm still here.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
And where are they?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Probably living in their mother's basement, unemployed, waiting for lunchtime
so mommy can put their hot pockets in their microwave
for them. Right So, but Mel Kuiper, it's time for
you to go, bro. And I'm gonna say this to
Mel Kuiper and every NFL draft expert who had Shoulddure
Sanders or let me, let me take that back, should
(15:23):
Doure Manziel the second coming of Johnny Manziel, who had
everybody everyone ranked and had him going third to the Giants,
and Mel even did one further, had him going above
cam word. Eat your crow, Bro, Eat your crow, Bro.
(15:47):
Say it over and over again.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
And I can tell you this right now, and I
can't wait till the top of the hour, because do
I have a rant for you? Oh boy, oh oh,
It's like.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
Oh, Christopher Kidd, you better have your hand on that
dumb button at the top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Band.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I'm not gonna make any promises, but I'm gonna try.
I'm gonna try to stay within the FCC regulations, but
I can't promise it. Oh, I can't wait, And oh
I can tell you right now. The NFL spoke loud
and clear they want no part the NFL. All thirty
two teams are out of the Dion Sanders future head
(16:35):
coaching business. They want nothing to do for them. And
I have a quote from a thirty three year NFL
executive that's gonna make your headspin like Linda Blair and
The freaking Exorcist.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Remember that, the scariest movie of all time.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Oh yeah, you're gonna spin around in a round when
I read this quote for you, coming up at the
top of the hour, but coming up next. So shameful,
so shameful. What happened this weekend? Thankfully one network actually
(17:16):
decided to do a mayakopa and give kudos to the
guy who's the face of the twenty twenty five NFL draft.
We'll tell you who, We'll tell you what next right
here on MJ in the midday ninety three to three
KJR FM. I thought Pete Carroll, John Spytech, Tom Brady
(17:38):
and the Raiders had a really great draft. I overall,
from top to bottom I thought they nailed it.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I really did. So we'll see how that goes going
forward for them.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I was a little bit Ashton Genty got a He's
the second highest paid running back in NFL history, with
like a guarantee he thirty four million dollars if he
busts out. That is one of the worst draft picks
ever on our running back at six.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
If he doesn't, you look like a genius.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
And I think he'll be good, but boy, you better
hope so, because he just got paid big.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Time in full.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Speaking of another guy who got paid in full, is
the number one overall pick in the draft from the
U prior to that Wazoo, prior to that incarnate word,
he was a zero star prospect out of West Columbia,
Texas by the name of cam Ward.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I'm still.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
I'm still like feeling a certain kind of way that
Roger Goodell called him Cameron when his parent I've never
heard anyone call him that, even when he was at Wazoo.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
I never heard anyone call it Chris. Did you hear
anyone ever call him Cameron?
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Now?
Speaker 4 (18:53):
But I think that's his name, but everyone calls him
camp so that name, but so it's go look at
the number one overall pick in the twenty eleven draft
and tell me if he called him Cameron.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Newton or he just said Cam Newton. Hey, I mean,
I like mama named new Cameron. I'm gonna call him Cammera.
I don't blame all right, but his mama, I think,
calls him Cam though, Like that's the thing. His mom
calls him Cam, and so Doesan's dad and everybody else.
So all right, neither here nor there.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
I yeah, go back and look at that Cam Newton
pick and tell me tell me if he called him
Cam Cameron he didn't because I was there. So ESPN,
the Four Letter Network couldn't have failed more than they
did on Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I mean, if you blinked, you missed that.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Cam Ward was the number one overall pick in the draft,
you missed it. NFL Network, they gave the manage just too.
They did. Speaking of NFL Network, a guy who is
part of a show called I Believe It's Good Morning Football,
Kyle Brandt, went on a rant.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
So mister irrelevant in this draft as cornerback Kobe Minor
from the University of Memphis. Kobe Minor, I think Kobe Minor,
the last person in the taken in the draft, got
more attention and hype than cam Ward, the first person
taken in the draft. I want to talk about mister relevant,
(20:25):
which is the number one overall pick.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Guys, this is history. I've never ever seen.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Less focused, less buzz less anything on the number one
overall pick in the draft. I remember when the number
one overall pick was an offensive lineman from Central Michigan
named Eric Fisher, and he might as well have been
Peyton Mann he compared to cam Ward.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Cam Ward is sitting there number.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
One, and it's like he has a two syllable.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Name and we're halfway.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Through the first syllable and it's already like, well, let's
talk Shador. Chador was very interesting and very compelling. Let's
just take one hot second to be like cam Ward.
Incredible journey, zero star wars, three different colleges.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
You're the best player at the draft, looking.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Down on all these Ohio State guys and Georgia guys,
and he went to incarnate word.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Cam Ward's coolest thing is that there.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Is nothing to talk about because he doesn't give anything
to talk about, because he is that solid as a person,
that solid as a player. I'm not familiar with who
cam Ward's father is. I don't know much about him.
I don't know anything about he does on social media.
I know he's a hell of a football player and
deserves credit for that. And you know what, Tennessee Titans fans,
(21:31):
if you want a little bit of sizzle and you
want some conversation, you damn well deserve it, because you
better believe if that number one overall pick was to
the New York Giants or the Dallas Cowboys or the
Chicago Bears, there'd be way more cam Ward talk. But
it's the fact that he's going to the Titans, and
maybe the Titans logo doesn't jump off the marquee that
(21:51):
you're not getting it. So, Titans fans, I see you,
I love you, and I give you the gift of
this beautiful image. Cam Ward wears number one in college,
but hold on second. Number one for that organization was
Warren Moon. He's an all time great. He's not gonna
wear number one, Yes he is. Because of his media session.
Warren Moon showed up himself. It's awesome and gives him
a handoff. He said, you will wear number one for
(22:14):
this organization. I bless you, I respect you, and thank
God for Warren Moon doing this. Otherwise he's the only
person on the face of the earth who seems to
have any interest whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
And again, the number one pick in.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
The draft, who is such a good player and such
a good pick that no one has any debate to this.
There was zero, zero debate about who should go number
one in a draft that includes an all time historic
two way player. And so like Travis Hunt is great,
but my god, that cam Ward is good.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
He certainly is.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
He's at the right place, he's at a great organization,
he's got his jersey number.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
And for just one.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Hot second before I get a Shepherd hook that pulls
me off the air for talking about cam Warren, Let's say,
cam great job, we're following you, were rooting for you,
and even better than that, we're actually bleeping talking about you.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Cam Ward. Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yes, well, great rant by Kyle Brandt. Kudos to him
on that one. Amen to him on that one. And
I think his network. See what, I was at the
Seahawks facility, and there was a lot going on at
that time, so I didn't have a chance to watch
both of them at the same time. But later on,
what I ascertained was that NFL network gave cam As
(23:28):
just due Rich Eisen, Daniel Jeremiah, that whole crew. They
really went Charles Davis, our buddy friend of the show.
They really went above. But of course the four letter
network dropped the ball again. Now, Kyle mentioned something interesting
about cam and social media, and I wanted to take
you back to a time now, just about a few
(23:51):
weeks ago in Las Vegas, where cam Ward was throwing
with his former high school counterpart from Texas should do
her Sanders.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
And then here's how that sounded.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Bro. They gave you, guys, I gave you a completit
percentage awards and all you did was throw chackdown is
a bubble scraze.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
If I did that, my completion sentis ninety. I told
the ball downfield. You don't you well, ball you had
you had a run game. You had a run game,
and you didn't.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
No, you told that.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Hope. Now you know water, we just had the first drill.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Ball pays me, he said, football pays me. And he's
gonna pay you a lot more than Shadur is gonna get.
And if you watch a Gator Egg commercial and you've
seen it. It's got Michael Jordan in it, it's got
Caitlin Clark in it. I don't remember, it's got might
have Tom Brady, and then you have Schoodoor Sanders. Well,
(24:48):
I don't know how many corporate sponsors are going to
be big on a fifth round pick now, because they
are a mirror image of what the league is. If
the league likes you, then the corporate sponsor is going
to be right there.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Chador is drafted to be a backup.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Okay, and Miles Garrett, And it goes back to something
a coach Holmgren said about when Dk Metcalf requested to trade.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Out of Seattle. It's about money, You're damn right.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
It was just like Miles Garrett resigning in Cleveland was
about money. I don't think Miles Garrett if you had
told him a couple months ago, here's your quarterback room.
Joe Flacco, who's like eighty five years old, former first
round bust, Kenny Pickett, Dylan Gabriel, Chador, Sanders, and I
(25:48):
think they have on one other proh Deshaun Watson, the
guy they're paying two hundred and thirty million dollars to guaranteed.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
That's right. I don't think Miles Garrett would have signed
up for But Miles Garrett wanted the money, which I
don't blame him. He got paid.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
He deserved to get paid. But let's see how far
and how long that lasts. Now there, I'm going to
give my Draft Dumbass Award coming up next hour.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
It's not who you might think it is. You think
it's somebody, but it's not him.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
I'll tell you who My biggest dumbass of the draft
is coming up next hour. I mean, this dude could
not have screwed the pooch any worse than.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
Like.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
It's bad. It's really bad, and it's not who you
think it is. Believe me.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
But getting back to cam orons, should do, should do?
There will be case studies in sports psychology classes, hell
maybe just in business classes going forward at the Wharton
School at UPenn, an Ivy League institution on how a
guy with first round talent who never committed a crime,
(27:13):
never had any domestic incidents with any woman or whatever?
How did a guy who does not have any criminal
record never got in a one trouble. I don't even
know if Shador Sanders even jaywalked in his life seriously,
he's been a law abiding citizen his entire life. Now,
(27:35):
he grew up in you know, in a very plush part.
It's not his fault. He was born into it. It's
great he didn't grow up like Dion. Dion grew up
in a really low socioeconomic environment in Fort Myers, Florida.
And Dion is self made and he I mean, kudos
to Dion. He was the greatest cover corner of all
(27:56):
time and he just got a huge contract extension made
him on the top ten. I played coaches in college football,
so kudos to Dion. Dion's all self made. But if
you're going to go around and brag and boast in
flex with your daddy's name, then you need to brag,
boast and flex with your daddy's game.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
And Shaudure's a backup right now.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
If the odds right now, I think would probably have
Joe Flacco starting Week one for Cleveland. And believe me,
going into the draft, I'll be the first to tell
you I didn't think Dylan Gabriel should even be drafted.
He's a midget. He's a midget, he's a left hand.
I oh, I don't even like Dylan Gabriel. I would
(28:44):
never have touched him, but Shauduur. They took six picks
before you, and one of them was a midget quarterback
who's left handed named Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
That tells you all you need to know. Cleveland is
a cluster.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
It is, and they are the worst organization in sports
this side of the New York Jets. They might even
be worse than the Jets, because the Jets didn't give
two hundred and thirty five million dollars to a guy
that is known more for well massage parlors than he
is for earning that two hundred and thirty million dollars

Deshaun Watson agent.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
He should be the one teaching classes at an IVY
League institution on how do I fool an NFL franchise
that my client is worth it when he's really not.
So Obviously, the Browns have spoken, they're moving on in
a different direction. And here's the issue. They're married to
that contract. They can't get out of that contract no
(29:49):
matter what, so they're going to have to pay that
thing off.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
He got.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
I heard that even if Deshaun Watson was convicted and
he wasn't convicted of anything. There was some settlements, but
if he was, the Browns would have stilled owed him
ninety nine cents on the dollar of that two hundred
and thirty million dollar contract, except for like one million dollars.
All of it was guaranteed. So Cleveland is going in
(30:14):
a different direction away from Deshaun Watson. Hey, Miles Garrett,
you got your You got your money. Just not so
sure that you're gonna be happy. But you got paid
in full though, and you deserve to get paid in
full because you're arguably the best defensive player in the NFL.
What happens when you're the goat and then you completely
(30:39):
get humiliated by someone in your inner circle? What happens? Oh,
how far the mighty have fallen? It is sad and
it is pathetic. We'll get to that next and Hitting

Keith Miller. It's just you must be like some great artists, bro,
because you just tweeted out me my.
Speaker 2 (31:38):

Speaker 1 (31:40):
James on Twitter x whatever you want to call it,
and he did his graphic. It's really I mean, I'm
not an artist, so it's just really cool. He says,
Welcome to Seattle, has the Seattle skyline in the background
with the space needle and then Mount Rainier and it
has Damien Martinez to the right of me, Elijah Arroyo
(32:02):
to the left of me, and me in the middle
with a headset. That's just I'm blown away, Like Keith Miller,
thank you much, Thank you very much, my friend. Think
you with just the letter you a capital, you get
it very much. So I hope these guys turn out
to be great. I'm betting on Elijah Royal. I think
(32:24):
Damien Martinez will be you know, let's see what he
can do. He's a seventh round pick, right, so who knows,
you know, who knows?
Speaker 2 (32:31):
But Elijah Royal, don't.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I mean, as long as he can stay healthy, that's
the operative word for Elijah Royal.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Healthy.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
If he can stay healthy, he could be better than
Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
He could be. If I had to bet, I would
take him over Loveland.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Maybe not Warren because Warren's pretty much the closest thing
I've seen since Gronk. But anyway, I'm blown away by
this picture I just retweeted on my I handle Mark
James MRC James.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
You can follow me there. It'll change your life forever.
All right? Man? How far is this guy fallen? And
I'm not even talking about you? To her? Sanders? Bill Belichick.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
The sixth time, sixth time, sixth time Super Bowl championship
head coach formerly of the New England Patriots. So he
got a twenty four year old girlfriend, Jordan, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
I don't know her last name. I don't want to
know her last name.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Bill, you outkicked your coverage, but a twenty Why would
a twenty four year old girl who looks like that
be interested in soon to be seventy three year old
man clout chasing? Clout chasing. She's just building her brand
off of Bill Belichick. It's what she's been doing since
day one. It's not just the money, it's it's trust me.
If there is a retired accountant who worked at the
(34:00):
private sector of society. She would not be going on
social media. She wanted to build her brand and she
is doing it. So let me set this up. I
can't do it so much justice because you can't see
Bill Belichick here.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
He's wearing a navy sweatshirt that has holes in it.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
On with CBS News Sunday Morning, and the interviewer did
a really good job.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
But just take it away. Jordan was a constant presence
during our interview.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
You have Jordan right over there. Everybody in the world
seems to be following this relationship. They've got an opinion
about your private life. It's got nothing to do with them,
but they're invested in it.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
How do you deal with that?
Speaker 5 (34:44):
Never been too worried about what everybody else. Thanks, just
to try to do what I feel like is that's
for me and what's right?
Speaker 1 (34:50):
How did you guys meet?
Speaker 6 (34:52):
Not talking about this? No, no, it's a topic neither
one of them is comfortable commenting on, though Hudson has
recently posted about it on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
You join instaface. As you put it, I love that.
Speaker 6 (35:06):
There's some great pictures of you and Jordan where you're
a fisherman and she's a mermaid. It's charming. It's a
different side of you. What's the reaction been like, what's
it been like to have these different sort of photos.
There's another one where you're doing I know, you're not
into meditation or yoga or pilates, you're balancing Jordan on
your feet and she's doing kind of the Titanic post.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
So I'm on some of those social media platforms, but
I honestly don't follow them.
Speaker 6 (35:34):
What he does follow isn't clicks or views, but touchdowns
and above all, wins. You do seem like you're having
a lot more fun these days than you were in
other chapters of your life.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Let's say I enjoy football. I enjoy the whole process
of it. It's hard to win, and it's hard to
beat other good coaches, good teams. I appreciate the grind,
I appreciate the competition, but coach is fun. Honestly, I
feel like I've worked a day in my life.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
There's also part of it which we don't need to
get to. He talked to Bill. Why is Bill doing
an interview? Is your first question? Because he doesn't do interviews.
He hates the media. He released a book and in
this memoir whatever it is autobiography something he doesn't mention
Robert Kraft once. You know, the guy that gave him
(36:25):
his second job in the NFL, that allowed him to
be a six time Super Bowl championship head coach after
he failed in Cleveland, and after he was the coach
of the Jets for about twenty four hours. He doesn't
mention Craft one time. But here's the problem. How come
Bill didn't get one interview during the last coaching cycle.
(36:46):
Oh you could say, well, Mark, he took the North
Carolina job. Okay, yes, technically, but he didn't specifically sign
the contract until February. He waited until after the coaching
cycle was so a matter of fact, it might have
been March. This gold digger named Jordan has completely emasculated him.
(37:16):
She has humiliated him. Oh and by the way, there's more.
You want to know what her title is? You ready
for this one? This is pretty funny. She is currently
identifies herself to a bunch of leaked emails as the
chief operating officer of Belichick Productions. Listen, Bill, I know
(37:43):
you must be having the time of your life, and
God bless you. This is obviously a transactional relationship. But
I can go ahead today. I said it about thirty
minutes ago. The NFL doesn't want anything to do with
Dion Sanders. I'm gonna go today and not not only
make a prediction, is a proclamation, not a guarantee. Bill
(38:06):
Belichick will never coach again in the NFL as a
head coach.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Could he be a.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Consultant, you know, front office executive. Yes, the NFL doesn't
want anything to do with the Bill Belichick business. His
career as a head coach in the league is over.
He didn't even get interviewed. That's why he didn't sign
the contract at North Carolina in December.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
He was hoping he would get interviewed. He didn't even
get interviewed. Let me ask you this. The Dallas Cowboys
have an opening position. Who they hire?
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Brian Schottenheimer, a failed OC over Bill Belichick. New Orleans
Saints have an opening who they hire never been a
head coach before?
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Kellen Moore.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
I mean, I could go on the Jets, the Raiders
to let me just stop there for a second. Tom Brady,
the guy who won six Super Bowls with Belichick. For
Belichick is a ten percent minority owner in the Las
Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Who got hired there?
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Christopher Kid who's the head coach with the Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
That would be the legendary Pete Carroll. Did Bill Belichick
even get interviewed there? Did even get interviewed? Let's just
say he did not? He did not. That is a
negative ghostwriter. It's over for Bill Belichick.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
And Bill it's sad and I hate to see you
go out this way, but please somewhere get your GPS.
Find your balls, Bill Belichick, find them. They're somewhere, well
right now they're in Jordan's Louis Vutan purse.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
But please get them back, will you?
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Because I missed the grumpy old guy that was the
greatest coach in football history. For some reason, I missed
that guy. Now you are well, let's just say it
rhymes with duck and it begins with a C.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
Or Okay, that's what you are? Yeah, yeah, I said it.
That's what you are right now. It's embarrassing and.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
I'm embarrassed for Steve Belichick and the entire Belichick family
what she's doing to this guy. Oh did you see
her walk on the field? So who walk on the field?
During a North Carolina practice and then she put it
on TikTok.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
She's running the show there, she's running everything. It's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Oh and there's reports coming out of Boston. It's just
so bad. All right, the meltdown with mel Kiper, Schadour, everything.
We got that coming up next right here on MJ
in the midday ninety three to three kjr FM
