Valdez gittling, but at least give John Schneider credit for

team has had made more moves in this offseason and
more moves to improve their franchise than the Seattle Seahawks

the last year and then losing at home to the
Lions with a chance to make the playoffs last year
was really bad. And then of course two years with
the Jets, he only played I think like won series
the first game of the year in twenty twenty three,

and he got hurt. He was out for the whole
year and last year. But you know, here's the thing
about it. Statistically, he actually had a better season last
year with the Jets than he did in his last
season in Green Bay. He threw for twenty eight touchdowns
and eleven picks with the Jets last year with nothing

but trash around him. Like I said, I'm not an
Aaron Rodgers guy, but I just have a feeling. He
sat back and He's listened and he's heard all the criticism,

Rodgers will have a thirty touchdown plus season in Pittsburgh.
If they can protect him, and they can on the ball,

also I think mentally he also had not been prepared
enough to face a wrestler like rabdivilis Philly. So this
Philly has won. Nine of his ten wins have been
by unanum's decision, and in a rematch, I don't think,
you know, he can come up with anything different. He's

And we've seen a lot of really good martial artists

Game two tonight, Edmonton Oilers at home trying to take
a two to nothing lead against the Florida Panthers. Panthers
let one get away. They're up three to one the
other night and then of course in overtime we all

home ice advantage going back to South Florida tonight with
this game and obviously the pressures on them. You don't

want to go down two in that game. And I
believe the line tonight is minus one ten for both teams.
Who do you like and why so?

I actually think Game one of this series played at
a pace that Florida wants to continue. In Game two
at five versus five full strength, Florida actually led the
game and shot attempts, expected goals, and scoring chances. Game
one really did play out the way you would expect
it to. Edmonton came out flying in the first period
of a Cup final Game one at home, as usual.

Florida rebounded later in the first and then had one
of their best periods in the postseason in the middle frame,
and then Edmonton got some penalty calls and one to
two bad goals on Forbrosky to come back in the
third period. Remember, the Oilers were not called for a
single penalty after the first period, and Florida took a

crucial delay a game penalty in overtime to lose late.
Also remember Florida scored two of their goals in the
first period, they took a penalty within two minutes after
scoring each of those. Then, when Sam Bennett scored in
the second, Barbroski gave up a matching goal to Edmonton
less than two minutes later. They really tripped over their
own skates when they had chances to bury buried the

Oilers here in the season opener. This series opener with
a lot of fun to watch, but I still think
that this is an experienced Florida team team. They've scored
average of three point eight goals per game here since
the start of the Toronto series. They just let their
guard down at the worst possible moment in Game one.
When Brabrovski has a down game like that, he is

a virtual guarantee to bounce back, and I don't see
how they can suffer so many calls against him in
Game two. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another
seven to eight goal game. I think this time it's
in Florida's favorite here, Florida Panthers money line minus one ten.

you look at it Edmonton. Both teams are scoring at
a high rate, Edmonton averaging over four goals a game,

thirty seven years years old, You spend money on him.
You don't try and go after forget about Pete Alonzo,
but you don't try and go after Paul Goldschmidt, Christian Walker,
Alex Bregman, somebody out there to improve this team. And

you sign a thirty seven year old in Donovan Solano,
and then you hire a dude who looks like everybody's
plumber at first base, who has plumbers crack and rowdy telez. Yeah,
he's hit some home runs this year, sure, but you

get what you deserve. So I respect and admire what
the Kraken and the Seahawks are doing because they're trying.
And John Schneider said it at the combine. He made

feel sorry for the fans. We need to do better.
We need to make the playoffs. And he has done

everything within his power to put the Seahawks in a
position to make the playoffs. What did the Mariners do
in the offseason? Zero, n A, nothing, and so in
the last ten games as they are three and seven
and they are on another June swoon down word spiral. Gh.

We've seen this movie before, haven't we. In their last
ten games, they've scored three and a half runs per game.
That's not actually that bad. It's not great, but okay,
it's serviceable. Better than last year. The runs allowed per

last ten games as a team, they have eleven home runs.
Cal Raley has like what seven or eight of them,
feels like he almost has all of them. They're on

ten games, sixteen walks alowed in the last ten games,
thirty two hits allowed per nine innings in the last

So I was doing some due diligence and research and
checking out the teams and the standings throughout Major League
Baseball that have winning records. Do you know the only
team in baseball with a winning record that has a
losing record at home? Your Seattle Mariners. Even it's unbelievable.

I couldn't believe. I'm like, no, way, that cannot be true.
Are you serious? And I'm looking through Yankees, Rays, Blue
Jays winning record. Even the Red Sox, who have a
losing record overall, have a winning record at home. Tigers, Twins, Guardians, Royals, Astros.

Even the Rangers have a losing record. Have a winning
record at home. Mets, Phillies, Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers, Dodgers, Padres,
and Giants. They all have winning records at home. The

only team with a losing record at home that's above
five hundred are the Seattle Mariners. That park is not
this team. Don't be surprised if they win five of
their next six games. Don't be surprised, because they're better
on the road than they are at home. And that's

seventeen at home. Losing record, losing record. And why should
any of this surprise us? All of you have told
me since day one, and I and I remember I
told Christopher Kid when they won ninth straight series. We

you know what, today's the day I'm going to eat
the crow. And most of you on the text line

I understand where the fans are coming from now with
this team, Why would you invest in go to a
product that doesn't care about Really the fans themselves, they're

here before the deadline. He better because you're gonna need
somebody to get hits in this offense besides cal Raleigh.
You're gonna need somebody to do it. They can't do
it right now. And it's it's like I said, it
is beginning to look a lot like last year all

crow on that. And you know what, when you go
to a game, there's a better than fifty percent chance
at T Mobile Park they're gonna lose. They have an
under five hundred record this year. And you get what
you pay for and you get what you deserve. The
Kraken in Seahawks, they're trying to improve the product. Now

it's trial and error, not everything's gonna.

But at least they're trying at least the Kraken for
the season ticket holders, they're lowering, you know, the concession

the teams and you see Seahawks a for effort, Cracking

Pete Alonzo was there for the taking. The Mets didn't
offer him anything. He had to go back to Queens

of self worth and open market value and it came
back to bite him. So Pete Alonzo goes back to
the Mets for next to nothing. You could have got
Pee Alonzo here. Now I'm not saying we know that

T Mobile Park is not a hitter's park, but man,
maybe you sign him to a one or two year
deal and don't give me the oh well, we already
went there with Robinson Cano and it didn't work. And
Robinson Cano was good here for a little bit. Go
look at his baseball card numbers. He was good here
in Seattle, and then he wasn't and then you traded

him and Edwin Diaz to the Mets. But like when
you see this June swoon, because it's all happening all
over again. When you see it, are you surprised, because
I'm not at all. I mean, you get what you
pay for in life. It's it. I mean it's plain
and simple. You get what you pay for, and you

get what you deserve. And this is what they paid for.
You got Donovan Solano and a dude who looks like
he should be playing in a Sunday YMCA soft slow
pitch softball league with the back of his jersey that

you pay for. That's best team in baseball, arguably Met's Dodgers.

Collision course NLCS winner goes to the World Series. Yeah yeah,
but you get what you pay for. And remember those
quotes by Justin Turner and the offseason, Remember them because

don't they don't? They kid like this is a player

saying it. This is a world champion. Justin Turner has
been a clutch player with the Dodgers, and I mean,
this dude has been absolute and it's like, you get
what you pay for now. I don't know if Sam

much gas he has left in the tank, and Marquez
Valdez gittling, but at least give John Schneider credit for

doing the right thing and saying, Okay, we don't believe
in rebuilding, renting, but we believe in reset. So we're
gonna reset, and we're gonna we're gonna kind of move
some some poker pieces around here. We're gonna do this,
and we're gonna do that. And they're actually, hey, what
team has had made more moves in this offseason and
more moves to improve their franchise than the Seattle Seahawks

You'd be hard pressed to find any franchise this offseason
who's done more to improve the team in the Seahawks.
And I'm not just saying that because I'm here. I'm
saying it because it's true. Mariners, you know what text line?

I get that. I understand that. But you didn't do
anything to improve this team in the offseason and it

expect the fans to invest in this product? He two
runs a game against the Orioles, You just turn their
whole season around. Orioles are feeling real good about themselves

at this season. Always go back to Justin Turner, go

the fact that they missed the playoffs by one game
and didn't go out and add an impact bat or
two when you have the best pitching staff in baseball

would be saying the same thing, what the hell are
we doing? Are you trying? There's not going to be
a better time to go for it, So I don't

If this team doesn't make the playoffs this season, you

walk them and pitch around him, and then who's gonna

So now you could say in his last year in
Green Bay there was a precipitous drop off forty eight

twenty six and twenty twenty two. Okay, I could say
the last year and then losing at home to the
Lions with a chance to make the playoffs last year
was really bad. And then of course two years with
the Jets, he only played I think like won series
the first game of the year in twenty twenty three,

and he got hurt. He was out for the whole
year and last year. But you know, here's the thing
about it. Statistically, he actually had a better season last
year with the Jets than he did in his last
season in Green Bay. He threw for twenty eight touchdowns
and eleven picks with the Jets last year with nothing

but trash around him. Like I said, I'm not an
Aaron Rodgers guy, but I just have a feeling. He
sat back and He's listened and he's heard all the criticism,
including from all the talking pundits and loudmouths and people
who get paid to make their opinions and people who don't.

Rodgers will have a thirty touchdown plus season in Pittsburgh.

but I could see them. He's not coming there to
miss the playoffs. Okay, he's not. He's just not. And
I know he's forty one. He's got a lot of
mileage on those tires, but he's motivated forty one. And

you could say, well, you know, he's not gonna be
what Tom Brady was in twenty twenty with the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers, when you know Brady was still performing at
an all time level and leading them to the Super Bowl. No,
I'm not saying that. I'm not, but I think the
Pittsburgh Steelers are a better football team today than they

were forty eight hours ago. I do do you do
you believe so.

Skip went on to say that they would be better

How much do you dislike Ryan Rogers? I know he
is not the most.

never get along with because of how he carries himself
and it's all about him. But at the end of
the day, when it comes to playing football, he is
one of the best at it. There's a reason why
he's playing through he's forty one, that's right, there's a
reason why the Jets took a risk on him. Unfortunately,
his first year there we all know what happened he
towards Achilles. But his second year and you just looked

up the numbers, he was he was fine.

Now against the Seahawks, he did struggle.

if he wins, and he's got a chance, and Sergey
Spobex got a chance to win this fight Serge Speedback
is a minus one forty favorite, But we're not gonna
go with a winner this fight. We're gonna go with
a prop. That's the great thing about wagering on these
UFC fights is there's so many different ways. You can
(28:12):
do a by submission, you can do it by TKO,
you can do you know what round that you want
to fight to finish. But we're gonna go with this
fight with inside the distance minus one fifty. Why do
I say that serj Speedback not much on training. You
(28:32):
look at his body type and if he's riding the
bike for maybe five or ten minutes a day, that
would be considered a lot, usually in the two sixty
to two sixty five range, and if he can finish
a fight, it's usually only in the first round. The
other side, while though Cortes Acosta has a little bit
(28:53):
more cardio, but I think he's gonna be able to
probably be able to maybe be able to, you know,
use some defense against s feedback here in the first round,
and if the fight goes to the second round, Speedback
is going to be done here. So what's interesting about
Speedback He just does not he can't go to a
finish here, So it'll either be Speedback in the first
(29:17):
round knockout or ground and pound or Waldo Acosta in
the second round. By you know, ground and pound, Speedback
will just quit. So we're gonna go with inside the
distance here on one of the prelim fights minus one
point fifty. I think it's a better way to attack
this fight, Whereas on this entire card there's only three
(29:39):
fights that are under minus two hundred, all very high
line fights.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
So for everybody out there that wants to bet this fight,
they gotta bet it to go under. Correct.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Yeah, under either inside the distance inside a lot of times,
or you'll see it minus two and a half rounds.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Okay, fair enough, and obviously the big one three C.
The rematch from September Morob Twallish Willy versus sugar Sean O'Malley.
O'Malley took to me. I thought was a surprising loss.
I mean, he's the guy's four years younger than Twalish
Willy ken he now, Lee, I know this is a

this is a family show, but I'm just saying that
there's there's things out there that sugar Sean O'Malley has
given up his favorite pastimes, marijuana, social media. And how
do I say this in a nice way, Well, let's
just say he's abstained from any type of sexual activity.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
And and I think in the first sight, not only
did he abstain from the those three activities, I think
he was injured. And so the combination all those three things,
and I think that that his ego just led him
to want to continue and go on the fight. He
was a headline fight, and he wasn't ready physically, and

also I think mentally he also had not been prepared
enough to face a wrestler like rabdivilis Philly. So this
Philly has won. Nine of his ten wins have been
by unanum's decision, and in a rematch, I don't think,
you know, he can come up with anything different. He's
a wrestler. I think Sean O'Malley will train for him.
(31:23):
And we've seen a lot of really good martial artists
who are not great wrestlers be able to learn how
to you know, to be able to avoid being taken
down or at least being taken down over and over
again like he was in the first fight. So in
rematch is just like many other sports that usually favors
the underdog, and I think the line is high here.
(31:44):
I think this should be O'Malley plus one point fifty.
I'm going to take him plus two thirty. I think
he's going to pull the upset and get his title
belt back.

So what's that number again?

last year, and I watched sugar Sean like handle Marlon

I mean, I love watching sugar Sean fight. And you're
telling me I get plus two thirty on that. Wow?

Wow? Is that something that you're gonna get Paramount sports

Sean O'Malley. Now, let me ask you this does the
plus two thirty? Is it just to win? It doesn't
have to be by you know, submission or tko, none
of that. Just gotta win, right, just just win.

It can be submission, could be tko. TKO could even
be you know where let's say, uh he end ups.
It doesn't happen often, but it could be a disqualification
that'll happen once out of every eight or ten cards.
Also all right?
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Game two tonight, Edmonton Oilers at home trying to take
a two to nothing lead against the Florida Panthers. Panthers
let one get away. They're up three to one the
other night and then of course in overtime we all
know what happened, Leon dry Sidle. Can the Panthers steal
home ice advantage going back to South Florida tonight with
this game and obviously the pressures on them. You don't
(33:38):
want to go down two in that game. And I
believe the line tonight is minus one ten for both teams.
Who do you like and why so?
Speaker 2 (33:49):
I actually think Game one of this series played at
a pace that Florida wants to continue. In Game two
at five versus five full strength, Florida actually led the
game and shot attempts, expected goals, and scoring chances. Game
one really did play out the way you would expect
it to. Edmonton came out flying in the first period
of a Cup final Game one at home, as usual.
(34:12):
Florida rebounded later in the first and then had one
of their best periods in the postseason in the middle frame,
and then Edmonton got some penalty calls and one to
two bad goals on Forbrosky to come back in the
third period. Remember, the Oilers were not called for a
single penalty after the first period, and Florida took a
(34:33):
crucial delay a game penalty in overtime to lose late.
Also remember Florida scored two of their goals in the
first period, they took a penalty within two minutes after
scoring each of those. Then, when Sam Bennett scored in
the second, Barbroski gave up a matching goal to Edmonton
less than two minutes later. They really tripped over their
own skates when they had chances to bury buried the
(34:54):
Oilers here in the season opener. This series opener with
a lot of fun to watch, but I still think
that this is an experienced Florida team team. They've scored
average of three point eight goals per game here since
the start of the Toronto series. They just let their
guard down at the worst possible moment in Game one.
When Brabrovski has a down game like that, he is
(35:17):
a virtual guarantee to bounce back, and I don't see
how they can suffer so many calls against him in
Game two. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another
seven to eight goal game. I think this time it's
in Florida's favorite here, Florida Panthers money line minus one ten.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Well, that's well, that's great value no matter what when
you look at it Edmonton. Both teams are scoring at
a high rate, Edmonton averaging over four goals a game,
and the seventeen games in these playoffs, LEAs Sterling, they've
only scored two or less goals twice, so fifteen out
of seventeen they'd scored at least three goals or more,
(35:53):
averaging for a game. I'll tell you what I like.
I'm gonna go with the over tonight, over six goals.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Okay, I like that I understand can win and so
score that many goals.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yeah, I like the over tonight. Check out Paramount sports
