(00:12):
You hear that, y'all. Iyou hear that, Parker. That's the
sound of a heart beating. That'sthe sound of life. That's the sound
(00:34):
of hope filling up our hearts andlungs as we hoot for at least one
more nights. Anthony Edwards and CarlAnthony Towns combined for fifty four points to
(00:55):
break those brooms over the Mavericks' headsand the Wolves live to fight another day,
and that fight is going down atthe Target Center on Thursday night.
But tonight we celebrate a big oneoh five to one hundred win against the
Dallas Mavericks in Game four on theroad. This is Howling with the Homies
(01:17):
AK Wolves fan line, brought toyou by ABC. My name is Max
Fuller, alongside Parker Fox and Parker. We've been asking for it all series.
We've been asking for Batman and Robin. And we could have opened the
show with no no, no,no, no, no, no,
no Batman because they both showed uptonight. Carl Anthony Town's twenty points in
(01:38):
the second half, Anthony Edwards wasas clutch as clutch can be twenty nine
points, ten rebounds and nine assists, and our two stars outplayed their two
stars, and it was just assimple as that. Yeah, I mean,
if you take away Cats, youknow, his six files and his
you know, four turnovers, justyou know, ten dumb mistakes there,
if you take those away, itwould have been a pretty flawless game.
(01:59):
Seriously, for the most part,I really like what Kat did tonight.
You know, he only played thirtyminutes, which is a lot less than
he usually plays. We see KyleAnderson with twenty five minutes tonight, it's
a lot a lot more. Butbut no, Kat, me and Nordo
talked about it this morning on nineto noon. We said, I gotta
I We kind of argued. Hesaid he wants to see Kat's first shot
be at three, and I said, I want to see him get to
(02:19):
the rim. And that's what hedid. He got to the rim,
you know, got an early scoreat the bucket, and you know,
he goes nine at thirteen. Night, Like, if we can get Karl
the Towns to go nine to thirteen, I think, you know, we
have a lot of really good stuffgoing for us. He goes four or
five from three, shot the ballreally well, just a couple of dumb
little mistakes you know four. Youknow, I say ten mistakes, but
actually, you know, a coupleof those turnovers were offensive files. So
(02:42):
he take away that, you know, Kat was a plus fifteen and I
only played thirty minutes, but butplus fifteen impacted the game at a really
high level. And then you know, I want to give a second shout
out. This guy's hit a zeroplus minus. But I thought Kyle Anderson
was great tonight defensively, played twentyfive minutes, only took three shots,
made one of them. But youknow, the Wolves did a lot of
different stuff defensively tonight. We sawearly we saw Ant was guarding Luca,
(03:05):
and then we saw Jada McDaniels onKyrie and that that worked early. You
know, Kyrie with with kind ofa downer game, sixteen points, eighteen
shots. You know, obviously Lucasstill kind of did his thing twenty eight
points, but took them twenty oneshots to do it. So those two
combined and they shoot thirty nine shotsand they only score, you know,
forty four points, Like you're gonnatake that every day of the week.
That's a that's a winning formula forthe Timberwolves. Absolutely, this is the
(03:25):
Minnesota Timberwolves. We've been wanting tosee all series long, Parker. That
looks like the Timberwolves that got themselvesto the Western Conference Finals. You mentioned
it. They did some different stuffdefensively. You highlighted it very early on.
We were watching the game down atthe mall. Shot out everybody that
came out away. That was aton of fun down in the road,
tound of man, it was afreaking party. And you mentioned it right
(03:46):
away. You called out the Wolvesplaying a two to three zone, and
you said that that's a big reasonwhy that they were so much better defensively
tonight than the past game. Justa huge switch. You know, they
obviously need to switch something up anytimeyou're down three to zero. And Chris
Finchman in this post game, youknow, you got to you gotta throw
different things, you gotta throw differentbodies, you gotta throw different defensive looks.
And we saw the two three zoneearly in the first half, and
(04:08):
then and then we saw it kindof come back for a little bit there
in the second half as well. And I love the way they kind of
did it too. They didn't,you know, force and go to it
the whole game and and they youknow, they went away from it for
a little bit, they came backto it. Like that's how you keep
kind of those offenses under their toes. Like you know, Luke if he
if he's comfortable out there. Youknow, you even saw it tonight he
was, he was awesome. Butyou know he he ends up with twenty
(04:30):
eight, fifteen and ten. Youknow, Tennis, he's gonna he's twenty
one. Though. Yeah, Imean that's what That's what it is right
there, that that's what that's whathelps you. But but I'm talking about
you know, if your defense,if you're switching up different stuff, you
know, it makes him, youknow, question what passes he's going to
do. And obviously he's still goingto make some of them. But yeah,
we just did a lot of reallygood different stuff tonight. I think
the Wolves obviously came out with allthe energy. But but I give us
(04:51):
a credit on the defensive end.We only we hold Dallas to one hundred
points. You know, Dallas isa team that that wants to get that
score up there. They want Kyrieand Lou could have thirty apiece and they
want PJ and Daniel Gafford and Jones, dat chip In their ten and that
just wasn't the case tonight. Sogive credit to the Wolves defense. I
think they did a little, youknow, a little bit of everything,
some really good stuff. And youknow, also credit to a guy like
(05:14):
Kyle Anderson coming off the bench playingtwenty five minutes and just kind of being
that that defensive glue for the TimbervilSenate. Yeah, they needed it.
They needed every single bucket from everysingle guy. They have won two,
three, four, five different guysin double digits. All of the starters
reached double digits. Even Rudy Gobert, I thought, had some really key
buckets at the free throw line downlate in that fourth quarter, and it
(05:38):
seemed like he was involved a lotmore in the offense tonight than he had
been in the past. Even obviouslyhe doesn't. You didn't put up crazy
numbers. He had thirteen points, but it definitely felt like Rudy it was
an intentional thing to get Rudy goinga little bit. Yeah. I mean,
this is a stat line that Ithink is just is Rudy esque.
You play forty minutes and then yougo four or five, so you're not
forcing getting shots up, and youscore thirteen points and have you know,
(06:00):
ten rebounds. I like to seethose rebound numbers up a little higher.
I think. You know, Dallasobviously, you know they crashed the offensive
glass super hard tonight. They outrebounded us on the offensive glass ten to
six, but we out rebounded themon the game forty to thirty eight.
But no, we gotta find waystoo for Rudy just to continue to continue
to be an impact. Obviously defensively. You know, he's the DPOY Defensive
(06:20):
Player of the Year. We needhim defensively. But but you know,
tonight he was. He was prettygood offensively. There's a little stretch there
where I actually tweeted out. Iwas like, stop giving the ball to
Rudy and then ensuing possession Rudy eurosand lays and then right around yeah,
and then like the next possession helike toss a dime. Cats. I'm
like, all right, maybe I'lljust shut up. But yeah, literally,
(06:41):
I need I need uh Zacho's gotthe the Twitter blue and he can
like edit his tweets, would editit real quick, edit it to like,
oh, Rudy's with awesome playmaking.Literally, but no, I thought
I thought Rudy was great tonight. He handled some some little drama there.
Yeah, he got a technical technicalwith Jones, but he was getting He
was feisty out there. Man.We have never seen that kind of fire
(07:04):
and attitude from Rudy Gobert. He'stalking smack to Derek Jones Junior. He's
talking smack to Luca don Jit stoodover a Mohammad Ali esque at one point.
Yeah, he was fired up,man, this tim That was a
Timberwolves team that looked like their backsare against the wall and then that they're
desperate, And you're right, andI think the whole team that that way.
Obviously we highlighted Rudy right there. But Anthony Edwards starts off this game
(07:27):
with nine really quick points. Youknow, me and you have talked about
it. I've people are probably sickof me hearing it. But I just
love when Anthony Edwards gets to therim. And there was a couple of
times a night where I thought heshould have gotten some more foul calls and
he did. He ends up shootingeight free throws. But you know the
free throws thing too. It wasreally good for the Wolves. We got
to the line twenty five times, but we only made sixteen of them.
(07:48):
Sixty four percent. Not great.Fortunately pull out the win in with that
tonight. But no, I justI just love the mindset. I talked
about it this morning and nine tonoon, we're gonna we're gonna see what
kind of Timberls team this is.Like it's so easy fold it in and
just be like forget about it.You know, this is over three to
zero. You know, let's startour summer. You know, let's go
on a vacation. But the Wolvesdidn't didn't seem like they wanted that tonight.
(08:09):
They were you know, all overon the defensive end. They did
some really good stuff in the offensebend, still not super clean, but
like you know, you know thatmeter where it's like, all right,
I'm out on this team, Likeit's slowly creeping back out for me.
So it's like, I don't know, I'm excited to get back in Target
Center on Thursday and see if theystill got that fight in them, because
now that Dallas lost one, youknow, Dallas is gonna come back punching,
(08:31):
and we gotta we gotta find waysto withstand those punchers exactly. And
Derek Lively Junior will more than likelybe back next game as well, which
was a huge, huge help forthe Timberwolves that he was out tonight.
This is howling with the homies. If you want to howl with us,
hoo, doy who with us?Howl at US one eight hundred three two
zero five three two six, oryou can text us at six four six
(08:52):
eight sticks. We got Mo inNew York all the way and and why
see what's good? Mo? You'rehowling with the homies. Yeah, I
want to tell you something. Thiswin was bigger than just Timberwolves history and
hopes. This was NBA history. To me, this was the greatest game
in this year and the great inthe top twenty five of all time.
(09:16):
And the reason why this game wasso big for the NBA and for the
timber is that the intangibles come toplay. Everybody thought the Wolves were out,
had no life. Now psychologically theyfeel that they had broken the cold.
They've got the formula. And what'sgonna happen is what happened to the
New York Yankees when they were downup three to zero and the lost four
(09:37):
straight to the Boston Red Sox.Same thing's gonna happen because psychologically we're on
fire now. The Timberwolves and watchwhat happens, and that momentum will carry
right into the Boston Series. They'lldo to the Celtics what the Red Sox
did to the Yankees. That's whatI'm talking about. Moment most speaking from
experience being in New Yorker, heknows what that felt like for the New
(09:58):
york You hear his accent. He'snot faking that. He said that with
his whole chest. He said thatwas that was one of the greatest games
of all time. I don't knowabout that mode, but it was a
great time to It was a greattime and it was a really clutch win
for the Minnesota Timberwolves. And toquote Kevin Miller of the Red Sox in
two thousand and four, right beforethey went on that run, don't let
(10:22):
us win one, y'all. Yeah, the same kind of deal, Anthony
Edwards said, Man, same kindof deal. You know. Even Mike
Conley like and Anthony Edwards nas read. They both echoed similar sentiments. And
that's great and I'm happy, youknow, like, it's good to see
the team still has their heart inits, still has their mind in it.
But Mike Conley telling Johnny Krazinski totoday or yesterday. You're about to
see something historic that gave me chills, that holds weight. That's a guy
(10:46):
that's been there and done that andseen everything, and he's all in on
this Timberwolves team saying that they're gonnamake history win four in a row.
I get it. Some people arelike, you're getting ahead of yourselves.
That's all we can do right now, because the only way to look is
up. They're down three. Theonly way to look is up. This
is the only thing that we haveto analyze. So I just it's it's
obviously never been done before. Butlook, man, history records are meant
(11:09):
to be broken. And Most seemedlike he knows something. Most seems like
he knows a little bit more thanwe do. I don't know if he
called miss Kleo he got you gota crystal, I just got the energy
from mo. He might be likea I don't even know, like a
like a soothsayer man, a psychicor something. Most psychic. Hey,
(11:30):
you most got me fired up rightnow. Rick from North Branch is gonna
be hard to uh to follow thatone up, But you got your you're
howling with the homies, my man, what's good Ricky, what Vegas and
that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, that's a pretty good way to back
(11:56):
that one up there. There wego. Appreciate you. Rig put some
money down on the Timberwolves on Thursdaynight because I think they're gonna get another
big win. Let's take one morecall before we had to break Chris from
Saint Cloud. You're howling with thehomies. Hey, we can keep that
(12:18):
one going high might as well.Hey, who says we can't? Why
not us? Why not us?Chris? No, here's my thing.
We swept the Suns in Series one. Talk about it. You had the
biggest Game seven comeback in our serieswith the Nuggets. You know, Game
seven, Yes, sir? Andwhy can't we be the first team in
(12:39):
NBA history? No reason? Youcome back down three games and win the
last four. It's it's like we'rea team of destiny. You guys come
from Minnesota, a state that likesto choke on success, and this team
is not having any of it.They're swallowing their stakehold and we're we're going
to make it. You guys, this is going all the way. Let's
(13:03):
let's go. He's back believing inthe city again. We had written every
week, half the city, Ihad written the Timberwolves off. Everybody's ready
to hop right back on this bandwagon, right back on this train, because
it feels different. Tonight felt likethis. This is the Timberwolves team that
we all got behind. This isthe Timberwls team that we fell in love
with this season. This is theTimberwolves team that had us believing that they
(13:26):
could do it all in there. And they're back, at least for just
one night, Parker. They wereback tonight, and the rest of the
Twin Cities is hype. We're excitedbecause we got one more at least at
the Target Center on Thursday. Tipoff. We'll be right around seven thirty
pm. You already know I'm gonnabe in the building. You already know
Parkers in the building. You alreadyknow we're gonna be live from the cage.
(13:48):
It's gonna be tons of fun. We're gonna take a quick commercial break,
but right after this, we're gonnabreak down more of the Wolves big
time Game four win one oh fiveto one hundred against the Dallas Mavericks.
They ain't dead yet, y'all, and neither are We were alive and kicking.
This is Wolves fan line ak Howlingwith the Homies, presented to you
(14:09):
by ABC, and we'll be rightback after this. The Timberwolves were straight
(14:33):
riders, riding down to Dallas andtaking a one oh five to one hundred
victory, saving the season. Wegot one more at least at the Target
Center on Thursday at night. Thisis Howling with the Homies, presented to
you by ABC. Maxweller here alongsideParker Fox breaking down a big time Wolves
(14:58):
win. I mean, outside,I guess that Game seven at the time
where they made the comeback, wasthe biggest win of the season, but
this was for everything, So youhave to say this is the biggest win
of the season. And one thingthat we've kind of been complaining about throughout
this Yer is, I mean, the Wolves have led in the fourth quarter
in every single one of these games, but just haven't been able to close
out, haven't been able to execute, Parker. What was different in their
(15:20):
in their late game execution tonight asopposed to in games three, two,
and one. And I get partof it is that Kyrie and Luca just
didn't have it the same way thatthey had it before. But part of
that has got to be our defense, right, Yeah, I mean it
does, but we almost gave itaway, get it. We did that
freaking four point player what should havebeen a four point player if Luca didn't
(15:41):
smoke the free throw, But man, I couldn't. That's when I I
can't lie. Y'all know. I'malways believing in this team, always hoping
this team, And at that moment, I was like, damn, don't
do the Minnesota sport right, likewe really might blow it down. I'm
never gonna do the Minnesota sports thing. Man, I'm so tired of hearing
that. I'm so freaking ti alreadyhearing that. But that that that disheartened
(16:02):
me a little bit. Man.But uh, but talk about the Wolves,
the Wolves late game execution tonight asopposed to games three, two,
and one. Yeah, I thinkit's just a maturity deal. You know.
We talk about a Dallas team thathas, you know, their their
spearheaded by by two pretty mature players, and we saw I don't know if
anybody else has seen this, butafter game one or two there was a
(16:22):
really good uh Kyrie and Luke abit and they kind of just talked about
the maturity of each other and obviouslyKyrie's been in the league for a while
and he's a very mature player. But Luka Dancis is kind of coming along
with that as well, with hismaturity. So you have two mature players
like that. If it's a youknow, close or tie game down the
stretch, you know, oftentimes, you know, it leads to you get
(16:42):
in wins with the mature squad. But tonight we saw we saw a mature
Wolves team. There was stuff throughoutthe game that was a little immature,
some of the turnovers and some ofthe you know, just missed assignments,
but down the stretch, we sawhim just do the right stuff. You
know, you saw him and youalso saw connathay talents hit some big shots,
which which helped. And you know, anytime you're getting big three as
(17:03):
it helps. Anthony Edwards, youknow, gets a really nice pull up
and after that one went in,I knew it was game. But no,
I think this Wolves team is justthey knew their back was up against
the wall. They knew they neededto, you know, make the right
plays on the stretch, and ifthey didn't, then they would have lost
and gone home and it would havebeen all over. So credit to those
guys for realizing what it takes andhopefully, you know, they see it
(17:25):
and they say, hey, wecan beat this team, and you know
we can. You can play withthis team the whole game and then you
know, beat them down the stretchand obviously you're probably gonna see a better
Kyrie Irving next game. But yeah, I think it gives you a lot
of faith as Wolves fans, andit's something that we can be excited about
one hundred percent. And you mentionedit, Karl Anthony Towns. It looked
like at halftime he was going tohave another one of those games. I
(17:47):
think he had something like five pointsthree files and you're just kind of like,
dang cat, like, come on, not like this, man,
not like this. And then hegets red hot and the second half ends
up finishing the game nine of thirteen, four for five from three after going
zero for eight in the last game. Just a gigantic bounce back game for
Karl Anthony Towns. He really neededthat as the as a player, the
(18:08):
Wolves really needed it as a team, and obviously that's that was the missing
piece. Clearly is that that's themissing piece that the Wolves needed. Everybody
else showed up. Karl Anthony Townsfinally realized, Hey, I've been the
Western Conference Finals. He showed up. Big game for him. Happy for
him, Happy for this TIMBERWLS team. One oh five to one hundred victory.
We got Baha Dave on the line. He wants to howl with the
(18:30):
homies. Was good, Baja Dave. I like the name, by the
way, how I love it?All right, that's like a country version.
I'm black and be real quick.I just yeah, sorry, I'm
a bit of a bit of adelay. I just got to say,
(18:52):
your your energy and your originality.I moved to Minneapolis in ninety four.
It reminds me of what I callchilling with the Fillains when I'm Pa and
d Bay we're filling in for Jesse. Just to appreciate your heart and your
passion, man, so keep doingit. I gotta say the Wolves can.
(19:12):
It was great to see Kat comeback to the norm. I think
we can still improve on like reboundingand turnovers. I'm just stoked to see
like the boys show up tonight.Minnesota deserves one more game at least.
And I'm not suggesting subterfuge, butuh, Minnesota restaurant tours don't serve Charles
(19:38):
Barkley. He burned his bridges.I'm not saying you have to burn his
bridges, but I mean, comeon, bah Dave calling for Minnesota restauranturs
to protest against Charles Barkley. Idon't think that's gonna happen. I don't
think that's gonna happen either. Moneytalks, my friend, Money talks,
(20:02):
Charles Berkley did. He did turnface on us, though he had a
little bit of a heel turn,as we call it in wrestling parlances.
He said the city of Minneapolis isso great, and he's all up at
Manny's Steakhouse and everything, and thenall of a sudden we lose the other
night and he's talking about I don'twant to go back to Minneapolis. What's
up with that? Chuck Man,I don't know. I don't know.
Then they'll come back, chuck rightand take the day off chuck with us?
(20:23):
What Dallas, Yo, you betterbring your ass on Thursday because there's
another freaking game, Game five goingdown Thursday at the Target Center. Should
be a lot of fun. Alecfrom Farmington, You're howling with the homies,
was good? My man? Max? What up? We're going baby
(20:48):
wolves and seven. We're coming back. Target Center is gonna be passed.
We're gonna be howling. Why can'twe win again? Man, come on,
talk about it, talk about it. Alec kat can follow out.
He's still the star of the game. Man. He killed it tonight.
We're gonna need that again. That'sall we need. Man. He's thinking
the threees like nothing. I justwant to say, you know, you
(21:11):
know what they say when you're onthe heater. He never leave the table.
Baby my shirt toop. Let's goCory there, talk about it.
My man. Alec from Farmington isfired up about Carl Anthony Towns. He's
fired up about the Timberwls. Andwe got Marshall and Minnetonka who texts into
the text line. He says, hey, guys, Kyle Anderson has been
unreal this season. It's amazing howfar an elite basketball IQ will get you.
(21:36):
Always making the right plays on bothends. And his defense tonight was
so good. Hoodie who and wementioned it in the first segment, Parker
Kyle Henderson has been I mean,I don't want to say the Luca stopper,
but definitely the stop gap in betweena full on Luca Flood. He's
been the best Wolves defender against Lucaby far, it's not even close.
Yeah, that texture brings up agreat point. Le. Kyle's got just
(21:57):
such a great asktball i Q.You know, from from a guy that
likes to claim that they have apretty good best bay like you too and
myself. You know, you watchthe way Kyle kind of plays and it's
like it's he does things that thatI would, you know, want to
do if I was out there too, you know, just the little things
when it comes to, hey, here's this ball screen. Uh, you
know, I gotta find a wayto either get over under it, depending
(22:18):
on where where it is. AndCoach Finch talked about it in the in
the post game, he said, you know, Kyle's a guy that's just
got such a high basketball Q andthat's why we have him out here.
And you know, granted there wassome foul trouble tonight which which allowed him
to play more minutes than he usuallydoes, but he's a guy that's ready,
man. And it's like, youknow, if we're able to get
on past this series and we playa Boston team, then you know it
might not be a Kyle Anderson series. Who knows, but like right now,
(22:41):
Denver, but that's been invaluable tothe Wolves success he has. And
that's it, and that's the besttrade about it. Guys. If you
can find a way to put yourego in pride aside it and you know,
do whatever it takes for the forthe benefit of the of the team
and uh to try to win achampionship. That's I mean, you got
to You got a guy, yougot a winner, and Kyle Anderson.
So I'd like to see him berewarded continually down this stretch in this Dallas
(23:03):
series with more minutes, I wouldas well, man, and Kyle Anderson's
a guy, much like Kat,a guy that's been slandered a lot in
town and sometimes obviously he's played somebad games. He's not the offensive juggernaut
or anything like that. But KyleAnderson provid He provides so many He's the
Swiss Army Knife of this team.He provides so many different things defensively,
(23:25):
offensively. He's been invaluable to thisteam success in this series. Shout out
to Kyle Anderson. We got anothertext on the text line saying any theories
as to why the free throw shootinghas been so bad. I mean that
just happens sometimes when you're when you'rehooping right, there's no there's no real
like breakdown of why people are missing. It just happens. Right. It's
one of the funniest things to me. And I don't mean to, you
(23:47):
know, have any offense to thelike the Texter, because he could be
genuinely curious curious, but sometimes youjust missed the shot, like you know,
and yeah, we you know,at our level and at my level
and and everything when you play atyour bos to make it and we're trying
to make it. But sometimes youjust you just miss him and it doesn't
go in, and there's no realrhyme or reason to it. Also,
(24:07):
Rudy Gobert is seven three, Likeit's hard as a seven three got to
shoot free throws, so it's likeI think he missed three or four of
them tonight, you know, soit's like five. Yeah, I wouldn't
I wouldn't read too far into that. And you know the other thing is
too when you play on different courts, there's different depth, perceptions and all
that kind of stuff. So it'slike I wouldn't read too far into it.
I'm more excited that we got theretwenty five times the night. I
think we can continue to get theremore. I hope Anthony Edwards sees that
(24:30):
he got there early tonight and andthat's a priority that he makes for for
game five and then yeah, butI wouldn't read too far into the free
throw thing. I think it's justit's just sometimes you make it, sometimes
you don't. But that's just thenature of the game. Sometimes it happens.
But you just talked about Anthony Edwards. It felt like, I mean,
yeah, Anthony Edwards had a bigbounce back game last game, but
(24:52):
it felt that felt like more likevolume shooting, kind of forcing it.
But it's it worked, but itfelt more like forcing it. Tonight.
It felt like his natural game.He felt like he had his speedback,
his energy back. It felt likethat was the Anthony Edwards that we've been
missing so long. Did you seeanything different from him or is it more
just like an energy kind of thing. I mean, everybody wants to be
(25:12):
like, oh, Anthony Ambers's gotto force in, get in the lane
and do this, and that.Everybody's got their opinions on what Aunt should
do. But at the end ofthe day, Aunt just has to play
Ant's game. Like if he's inthere trying to force it that that's not
gonna work. You know, theygot shot blockers, they got gafferd down
there blocking everything. So it's nota deal where he needs to come out
and try to force things. Hejust needs to play his game. He
(25:33):
needs to get to his spots, continue to you know, get to the
rim early, set the pace atthe rim, set the tone, try
to get a couple of fouls, get to the free throw line. You
know, he loves his you know, shots off the glass, operate in
the mid range, you know, get to those easy buckets, and then
expand your game, especially in thepick and roll offense if they're going to
go under you or if you're gonnabe able to create separation off of the
ball screen, to just be ableto rise up and hit that shot with
(25:56):
confidence. So it's nothing different. You know, he's just got to remain
confident and you know, shots, shots are falling, and that's great,
but you know, we have suchhigh expectations for everybody's gone and the new
Michael Jordan and this and that, which which is great but also realized like
this is a twenty two year oldkid that hasn't really won anything yet,
Like this isn't this isn't quite MichaelJordan yet, although we've seen glimpses,
you know. So I just lookedto Antiic just continue that aura and that
(26:19):
confidence. And we see it everypresser, we see. Anybody that's been
around Aunt sees it and they knowthat aura and the confidence he has,
and you know, I just Ijust look to have him continue that that
swagger, and I think that'll giveus a chance to keep playing more hoops.
Man, they got all the momentumin the world and now they believe
they can do it. They closedout because I and I think it was
(26:40):
important. I mean, obviously weall would have loved if they if they
blew out the Mavericks, but Ithink it was important for them to win
a game like this down the stretchbecause that they've had those leads in the
fourth quarter, Because they've blown thoseleads in the fourth quarter, and they
haven't had the clutch play from guyslike Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns.
It was important for the team's psychologyto win a close game aim like this.
We got the meticular one on thestream chat saying SlowMo has no business
(27:06):
being in the NBA. Get thehell out of here, bro, like
come on, well yeah, likelegit, like come on, get your
ball knowledge up, doc slogan. We would not have won that game tonight
without SloMo. If you're just lookingat the box score, you might not
believe it. But slow Moo wasfantastic against Luka Doncics and that's not something
that's easy to do. Let metell you some about the NBA. Not
(27:26):
everybody's an Anthony Edwards, right, you need roll guys, If everybody was
an Anthony Edwards, you wouldn't havea very good basketball team. Like,
right, that's two K. That'swhat two k's. Yeah, don't play
two K. But the NBA isabout having one, one or two superstars
and then a bunch of guys thatdo things really well. Jada McDaniel's defense
at really high level, can makeopen threes. Nas Red super skilled with
(27:48):
the basketball bat, big energy, great personality, Nikhil Alexander Walker great off
the bench, can make threes count. Came back tonight as well two when
was hitting shots, which is awesome. And then lastly, to finish my
point, is Kyle Anderson basketball IQ plays at his own pace, confidence
and a defendant shopper, and that'swhat we need in this Dallas series.
(28:11):
And he played twenty five minutes tonightand we won. Yeah, so what
do we even? What are wetalking about? Debate? Yeah? Yeah,
yeah, come on, get outof here, the particular one.
And now now that everybody in thecomments is clowning him as they should,
we don't want to hear any slowmost lander tonight. Brian from Elk River,
you're howling with the homies. What'sgood? My man? There max
(28:33):
a lot. That's me Parker,Yo. I think we got to be
growling with the homies. It's thewolf pack. Okay, we might have
to growl here. I'm give mea This is gonna tell like I'm hosting
a phone sex operator hotline. ButBrian, give me your best growl.
(28:56):
I hope this makes the button bar, but was scared back. Brent jumped
up out of his give me Brianmight have a job and sound effects for
movies. That was a real growlthat came from the soul between him and
(29:17):
the heartbeat that you did to openthe show. Yeah, we want to
have a team here. Yeah,we got lots of sound effects going on.
This is live radio, baby,it's the beauty of it was.
That was really impressive. Man,he's been waiting to I think he set
that up just because he knew Iwas gonna ask him. He's like,
man, I can really grow reallywell. It took him like three seconds
to do it, but he knewthis whole time he's gonna get you had
(29:37):
to load it up. That waslike a slow mode three. He had
to load it up for a second. And cash baby tilant from man Cato.
You're holing with the homies it boy. Hey, got a couple of
questions for you, well one onequestion, but I wanted to just think,
(30:00):
thank you guys for doing all this. This playoff run has made it
very exciting. And then you guys, you guys, you guys. Uh
so I'm I just turned thirty,so I'm kind of in your same demographic.
It's like I was fourth grade whenKG was doing his thing, and
you know, it's then, Uh, it's super cool to have my daughters
(30:22):
watch with me now and get excitedand all that. And I don't think
they luckily haven't had the experience thatyou know, twenty years of mediocrity or
whatever, or probably less than mediocrebasketball, but super cool that you guys
do this. And my question thoughfor you guys is the Danta thing is
(30:44):
he's super annoying to watch. Ithink I'd love him as Timberwolf, but
oppose him. It's super, superfrustrating, and I think that's why it's
so so talented. But the onething I keep seeing on Twitter after the
game that play that cat fooled outon where he leaned into him. I
mean, it seemed pretty obvious inthe replay, and then I keep saying
(31:08):
that did the NBA make a rulethat offensive player can't like bait the guy
or lean into him for that kindof shot? Parker? Maybe you know
or I don't know what it's likein collegiate rules. I'm not an old
Fitch and are official expert on rulesor anything, but everyone on Twitter keeps
(31:33):
saying that they outlawed that that moves. So just thought to get you guys
take on that. Yeah, theydid get rid of the they did get
rid of the going into somebody likewith your arms. Yeah, so it
has to be a natural shooting motion. But the moment Karl Anthony towens days
his feet and lunges at Luca.Luca has Luca has the ball, and
he has all the right in theworld to extend his arms and go up
(31:56):
into a shooting motion. So it'sclose, but it's a cylinder foul.
So basically there's a rule where youhave a cylinder that goes around your body
and goes infinitely up in the air, like if you if you go up
into that space and he's in Luca'scylinder, Luca has all the right to
draw a foul there. It wasa foul. It was the right call
down the stretch. Unfortunately it foulsKarl Anthony Town's out. But if you're
(32:20):
the wolf staff, if you're Carlwatching that back, you know it's a
foul. You just got to bemore disciplined. You got to work on,
you know, closing out with yourhands up and squeaky sneakers. You
learn that at a very young age. You know to squeak your sneakers on
the floor and close out with yourhands up versus lunging at somebody. And
then Luka Doncic's way too smart, way too skilled. If he sees you
lunge at him, he's just goingto lean India and draw the foul.
(32:42):
And then third point of that,Luca is a superstar, even even if
it was close, even if itwas a debate, Luca is going to
get that ninety nine percent of thetime in that situation, under those circumstances
and the you know, he's right. You know, Luca is a frustrating
player to watch, and he flopsaround a lot and throws his body around.
He's just that classic European kind ofplayer. Yeah, I guarantee you
(33:06):
would love him if he was wearinga timberwls for sure, he'd be the
best player of all time. We'dall want shit exactly. No, that
was the right call down the stretch. You're right, they have changed the
rules about you know, kicking legsand shooting arms out. But Carl lunched
at them and that was the rightcall. But fortunately it didn't hurt us.
Fortunately it didn't hurt us. Unfortunately, Carl Anthony Towns, despite fouling
out, had a huge bounce backgame. Twenty five points from him,
(33:30):
twenty nine points from Anthony Edwards. They combined for fifty four and outshined what
seemed like a light so bright thatwe needed multiple sunglasses on. Outshined Luca
and Kyrie when the Wolves needed themthe most, and they saved the season
(33:52):
with a one oh five to onehundred victory. It was a lot of
fun watching the Minnesota Timberwolves when Imean I mean we were talking about off
that almost for got what it feltlike, you know, like almost forgot
what that feeling feels like. Itfeels so good, and then you know
what else feels good? A homegame, a home playoff game at the
Target Center. My man John Barrygetting the crowd a hype, the Timberwolves
(34:15):
dancers getting the crowd hype, Crunchcoming out with the drums, getting the
crowd hype, and everybody is goingto be so freaking excited. It's going
to be a party in the TwinSeities for at least a couple more days,
because the season is still alive, the dream is still alive. As
your Minnesota Timberwolves come up off themat and hit the Mavericks with a CounterPunch
(34:38):
one oh five to one hundred. This has been Wolves fan line aka Howland
with the homies. I'm Max Buller, That's Parker Fox Elite Basketballs and seven
max Wolves in seven, Wolves inseven, Wolves in seven, we get
(35:01):

can keep this party. Roland speakingto parties, thanks for coming out Toma
for our game for Watch party. It was a ton of fun. Shout
