Sam's up next to the Discover YourPotential segment, brought to you by
Smart Pet Talk. Today, We'rejoined by our regular contributor and co host
Dan Gilman, and he's joined byAmanda Goodwin, CEO of Lagatat. She's
a transformational leader renowned for her storytellingand strategic marketing expertise, with a proven
track record of driving brand visibility andstakeholder engagement. She's had a rich career

(04:35):
spanning roles at Little Sprouts and Lifeis Good Kids Foundation, and now Logatat,
the first voice activated childcare software onlysoftware specifically designed for family childcare providers.
They joined me today to chat allabout the childcare industry and how logatat

(04:56):
is improving the lives of family childcareproviders nationwide. Welcoming now to the show
is Amanda and Dad. Welcome superstars, Thanks so much for having us here.
Thank you so much for coming on. Amanda, like Pleasure, you
are a trailblazer. You clearly havea passion of lack of better words,
for improving the lives of children, families and caretakers, which now has brought

(05:21):
you to Lagatat, the first voiceactivated childcare management software which is built to
ease the data entry workload for familychildcare providers. Before we dive too deep,
can you tell us more about themission and vision of Lagatat. Sure,
I mean really Succentially, the missionis to provide family care providers more

(05:41):
time, more income, with lessstress. There is a childcare crisis across
the country, here in New Yorkand far reaching other places. We know
that the core of that crisis isreally around the fact that careers in child's
care need to become more desirable, more sustainable, and more profitable. We
can do that by easing the immenseload of compliance and communication responsibilities that we

(06:06):
put on these And I'm going tosay women, because ninety three percent of
the workforce identifies as female. Sothe women, these micro business female entrepreneurs
that run these businesses, they literallyhave a crippling number of administrative load that's
put on top of taking care often toddlers, watching three infants and two

(06:27):
toddlers, watching five preschoolers, twotoddlers, and you know, an infant.
Anyone who's ever cared for kiddos knowsthat being present with the care of
one child is enough. So youadd multiple children and then multiple compliance and
communication mandates, and you can kindof see why so many people have left
the field. And I know accordingto the National Survey of Early Childcare and

(06:49):
Education, there are around one millionpaid providers caring for three million children from
birth to h five in home inthe US, and looking specifically right here
in your state. According to thetwenty one Consensus your report, an estimated
eight hundred and forty four thousand childrenunder six lived in households where all available

(07:09):
adults were in the labor force. So you certainly have a ton providers with
packed houses who can benefit from thisincredible tool. Now I know Dan has
it's true. Now I know Danhas some questions, so I'll hand it
off to him. Yeah, welcome, Amanda. It's good to have you
here. What inspired you to workwith logotat and how has your journey been
so far? So I'm going togo all the way back to thirteen years

(07:34):
ago and becoming a mom. So, as you know, Zen so nicely
gave me that introduction. I wasin media, and I was good at
being in media, and I neverthought that I would leave, And then
I had a kiddo come into theworld two months too soon, weighing only
two pounds, that's sixty one daystay in the newborn intensive care unit.

(07:57):
In the eighteen months that followed, were working with again primarily women who were
early interventionalists and early educators that helpednot only my son, but me and
my entire family get the services weneed to be fast forward. Today,
he's as wonderful and healthy and annoyingas any other thirteen year old, so
the happy ending, But that experiencestayed with me. And what I saw

(08:20):
time and time and time again isthat these women, these providers that were
offering a truly invaluable service, wereunderpaid, undervalued, and under recognized.
And then when I went deeper intothe industry to learn, not only was
there a compensation issue, but therewere unfair compliance issues. You know,

(08:43):
when we go into a child's care, if it's a blazing hot day,
right, we might go in andpick up our kiddos and see that the
provider has handed out popsicles, andisn't that great? All the kiddos got
a popsicle? And we see thatas as simple handing out that popsicle has
a minimum of three to ten complianceissues attached to it, from reading the
ingredient list to making sure the rightchild had the right sunscreen on before they

(09:07):
went outside, making sure they loggedwhen they went outside when they came back
in, and to date, allof that compliance is done either manually by
hand or logged into a digital systemthat requires using a keyboard and screen.
Every time an adult uses a screenin the presence of a child, it's
distracted care. So there's kind ofthat I saw very quickly there was this

(09:30):
unfair expectation that these women, theseproviders, were supposed to do everything,
all the time, exactly right. So I guess that I was confident and
maybe slightly cocky enough to believe likewe could do better. We could do
better on behalf of women who dothis work, and we could do better
as a community to build tools thatactually solved the problem. And so when

(09:54):
I found logatat and saw that theywere the very first to market with a
voice solution, I knew it wasfor me. What a beautiful story.
Everything comes three point sixty and youdefinitely are on the right track, And
I'm so glad Logatot is in goodhands with you, and I think that

(10:15):
this software can have come at abetter time. I know. During the
COVID nineteen pandemic, there were suddencclosures of schools and daycare centers, so
many parents were scrambling to find alternativeoptions, which sparked an overall renewed focus
and emphasis on the childcare industry.I know at least it did for me,
and Logatat, to my understanding, was founded just back in twenty twenty
three. So between this renewed focusand this tool, I am truly hopeful

(10:41):
that childcare services will only continue improving. Now. I know there are many
childcare communication tools out there, butI'd love it if you could tell us
more about what unique solutions Lagat offersto its customers and how do you stand
out in the market. So reallyit's by the power of using your voe.
Our strategy is really simple. We'regoing to listen to women. We're

(11:03):
going to listen to women that areworking in the field, and we're going
to hear what they really need tomake their jobs manageable. What they need
is they need to be able todo things like hand out popsicles and log
that activity in real time, notgo back on unpaid hours on their own
Saturday, on their own dinner timewhen they're supposed to be with their family

(11:28):
and go back and fill in logs, which is what gets done again and
again and again. You brought upthe COVID crisis and like are if there
are little opportunities that COVID made morevisible. It is to do right by
those who dedicate their careers to childcare. Everybody in the country can agree that
our kids deserve high quality care, but not enough people and not enough solutions

(11:52):
are focused on getting their means listeningand believing the women who do the world
and giving them the tools they needto move faster. We know that when
you use your voice, because weknow what Alexa's here, you can actually
multitask. I could hand a popsicleand at the same time say Ladatat Sally

(12:13):
got a popsicle, or Ladatat Ijust gave all the kids popsicles and like
magic, have my compliance paperwork takencare of for me, so that as
the provider, can go enjoy maybea popsicle of my own without you know,
the weight of I have more workto get back to do you know,
taking care of children properly requires presence. What a great story is?

(12:39):
This is beautiful? Yeah? Howdoes logotot integrate technology and innovation into its
service or products? Sure? So, I mean again, the quickest way
to get the idea is how youuse Ciri and Alexa. So as someone
I'm also extremely neurodivergent. Right.I can tell you I start every day

(13:00):
by opening up my computer looking atmy personal and professional calendars, and I
speak my to do's for the dayor my get to is for the day
to Alexa, so that the reminderscome on, because if not, I
might leave kiddo at Camper school andforget to pick up not because I don't
love him, but because I'm,you know, hyper focusing on my work.
Logatat works in a similar way whereit both offers reminders to providers throughout

(13:24):
the day of what's set up.So let's say you have a kiddo who
has an allergy and you've set upto let's say they have a gluten allergy,
and you've set up to give thatkiddo snack that includes gram crackers.
Logatat will remind you that there's agluten allergy and not to hand that snack.

(13:45):
So you also get like a kindof a paid assistant without having to
cover the cost of having a realperson with you. And also again lets
you go through say Sally just arrived, just got to my head. You
can check in automatically, you cando mandated health checks automatically, just with
the power of your voice and itautomates into compliant paperwork that then can service

(14:09):
proof to licensing agencies. I'm infull compliance. That's great. Wow,
the total case studies there where logotodis making significant impact, and I love
that. I truly think that becauselogotod is voice activated, not only does
it benefit these providers who used tohave to manually catch up on compliance like

(14:33):
you said, during unpaid hours, which I think is horrible, but it
can reduce adult screen time right bymore than fifty percent around the children in
their care, which for me isincredibly important as a mom because this allows
providers to stay more connected like youmentioned earlier, alert and keep the screen

(14:54):
influenced to a minimum. Now boththis is extremely importive. About a minute
left, and I know Dan hasone more question, but now both sustainability
and social responsibility are growing topics. We see this more and more in the
business world, with many companies puttinga stronger emphasis on them. I'd love
to know how does lagatot approach sustainabilityand social responsibility within the industry. Sure,

(15:16):
so, I mean sustainability. We'retrying to make careers in childcare more
sustainable period, right, and sothere's a social sustainability that I think is
at the core and start of everythingthat we do tactically and practically. So
we have large scale partnerships, onewith right here one of the largest union
of childcare providers in the state ofNew York see Sea Voice. And as

(15:41):
part of our contribution in our partnershipswith organizations like that, we aim to
pledge one percent back to those organizationsthat partner with us. So x amount
of childcare providers come on to logitatthrough the CSVA membership, and then we
would be able at the end ofthe year to pledge one percent back to

(16:04):
the groups that brought the members tous. It's part of a larger tech
kind pledge one percent of If you'regoing to start a tech and digital company,
do it from the very start withthe emphasis of doing good. The
core of our business model is good, but we also want to make sure
that there's a piece of that thatgives back to the exact providers and to
those provider organizations that are helping growthis business. Remarkable, it's incredible.

(16:30):
So what are some of the challengesthat you're facing while growing logatat and how
are you overcoming them? So honestlyit is being trusted as another service for
providers. For one more good idea, I'm working really hard to be a
trusted provider that if the tool isn'tworking right, if it's not saving you

(16:52):
between two to ten hours a week, tell us we'll fix it so that
it does right. Now we're inthe early stages again. We just launched
a new November of twenty twenty three. You're just under one hundred providers on
the platform, so they'll be movingin mass and getting critical feedback directly from
the field from the women who usethis product to make sure it works to
make their job and their lives better. You definitely have something extremely proprietary,

(17:18):
innovative and solving many many problems, both for providers and even for the actual
children that are being provided for.So congratulations on that. We are officially
out of time. Thank you somuch for coming on and giving us great
insight into an incredible service. Wonderfulto be here. Thanks so much for
your time, appreciate it. Thatwas to discover your potential segment brought to

Welcome back, beautiful Tri State area. You're listening to a moment of zen
right here on seven to ten worthe voice of New York iHeartRadio. I'm
your host. Zenzam's up next inour Going Deep segment brought to you by

(18:48):
CO two Lift. Today, we'retaking you on a wild ride featuring Blaze,
French mega influencer, actor and entrepreneurwith over five million followers, and
he's joined by actor and model BroderickHuh. Roderick is an Ebony one hundred
and BT icon who launched a personalbranding digital masterclass, Sell Your Look.
Roderick pivots his career towards wellness andtravel. They joined me today to chat

(19:11):
men's skincare, why they love carboxytherapy, and the importance of demystifying talk
surrounding men's sexual wellness and health.Welcome, superstars, happy to be here.
Hello, nice to see you guys. Thank you for having me,
Thank you for coming on. Broderick, Nice to see you. Blace.
All right, Blace, I'm goingto start with you. We're going to

(19:32):
dive right in so COO two Liftand skincare routine. Let's chat. You
have over five million followers, yourfans look up to your skincare routine.
How has CO two lift and theirproducts, specifically the carboxy therapy treatments integrated
into your daily skincare regimen. Well, skincare has always been very important for
me. My mom as a kidwould always make sure it's take good care

(19:56):
myself. And with the trends ofCoel two lift, it has made it
a lot easier to take care ofmy skin. You know, using the
other things out there could be alot of steps and as a guy,
you know, we kind of wantto just get right to it. So

(20:17):
Cel two lift makes it like alot easier to have a healthy and balanced
skincare routine. And when you applythe mask to your face, what's the
immediate sensation that you get. Iget a cooling sensation and it feels good.
It's almost like taking a cold plunge, you know, for your face.

(20:41):
And I love working out and theface is no different now. Coeal
two Lift pro as a medical monotherapyis very effective. Without a doubt.
I echo what you're saying. It'sgreat for severely dry skin, itchy skin,
for the speedy healing of wounds. It also increases blood flow and that
is key, right, And it'sa great esthetic monotherapy. Like I mentioned,

(21:03):
when we say aesthetic monotherapy, we'retalking about fine lines. We're talking
about wrinkles, creepy skin, darkcircles inflamed skin, the textural imbalances that
are all going to be eased withthe use of this product, and enlarged
pores, dull tones. So itgoes even deeper, hence the going Deep

(21:25):
segment. Now I'm gonna shift toyou, Broaderick, and we're going to
talk about journey to wellness. So, Broaderick, you've pivoted your career towards
wellness and travel. How have theCO two Lift products supported you in maintaining
your skin's health while you travel andstay active. CO two. I started
using CO two about a few yearsago through Lana, and she had an

(21:48):
amazing product. The more I startedto incorporate those projects in the CO two
tablets into my regular regimen is whenI started realizing that I needed more products
that works when I'm on the moon, because my lifestyle was already structured in
a way that was going to requireme to be so fast paid. So
sometimes the whole regiments were slowing downand being something in your bat in the

(22:11):
bathroom and the luxury of your ownhome allly go to a certain extent.
So I feel like with CO twoit allowed me to not only have the
products that elevated my skin kerotein onthe go, but I was also able
to incorporate it in my home regimens, being able to share a story of
how I can further revitalize my skinon the easier platform and easier all my

(22:33):
platforms, easier than just recommending abunch of several different products every now and
again. So I was really gratefulto find coeo too helpful in terms of
like including it into my travel regimensas well. Your skin looks fantastic,
and I know that co two liftincreases hydration statistically by one hundred and seventeen
percent, So I echo your sentiment. I'm getting on a plane a couple

(22:56):
of days from now, and I'mstalking up on my COO two lifts.
We know from clinically verified and clinicallyresearched data that it increases the presence of
wound repair factors and growth factors, which helps cells turnover faster, and this
reduces the appearance of aging and scarsand stretch marks and all of that stuff

(23:18):
that we don't want. It stimulatescollagen and elastin production, which promotes elasticity
and helps retain hydration. So it'san all around great product, especially for
scars, acne, and hyperpigmentation. Now I blaze them in a pivot to
you, so we're going to talkabout effectiveness of CO two lifts. So,
as an actor and an entrepreneur, you're always in the spotlight, just

(23:41):
like Broderick. Can you share howCOEO two has helped maintain your skin's health
and appearance despite your busy schedule. You know, everyone always says like black
dot cracking, as I think thatis very true, but it's so important
to you know, have products thathelp make that statement true. And CO

(24:02):
two lift makes it easy and youknow, makes that black oat crack statement
come true. So CO two liftis really easy to use. And especially
with the ona go lifestyle and travelingand always on the plane, you know,
I need a product that kind ofjust works really fast and very effective,

(24:22):
and CO two lift does a greatjob of doing that. I love
that you brought up travel. Thatis the number one use case for me
at least because I'm always on thego. All right, now we're going
to go back to you, Broderick, So we're going to talk about carboxy
therapy and male grooming. So,as someone who has launched a personal branding
digital masterclass, how do you incorporatecarboxy therapy into your grooming routine and what

(24:47):
benefits have you noticed as a resultof consistently using the CO two lift mask.
Well, taking it back to myearly days of cutting hair, so
I started out with barbering was mymain when I was starting to do my
self care journey. So I wasinto razors, clippers, doing lineups and
stuff like that. And what Irealized at that time there was only a

(25:10):
few different types of products that wouldbe available for guys to treat their hair
posts carecut treatment. So you hadalcohols which would dry out your skin,
and then you would have like allthese other post treatments, like you know,
those little hyperpigmentation things that were likethat'll even out the skin tone.
But all that stuff was just kindof adding a bunch of chemicals just unbalanced,
im balancing my skin. So themore I got into my journey of

(25:34):
like finding out what skin care productsand adding different things to my regimen that
would help, I realized that addingoxygen, retinols, sunscreens, all those
types of things only went so far. So now adding oxygen flow with the
CO two mask and actually having thosetypes of those types of those types of

(25:56):
products into my regimen. I startedrealizing a difference and not only having to
alineate using a lot of alcohols andstuff, but realizing that my skin as
a cell, as its own workingorganism, only needed natural kind of substances,
a natural elements in order to makeit feel and look more vibrate.
So, as my self care journeycontinues today, I'm always saying that Coe

(26:19):
two is the one that I feelactually has the full range of sell your
skin help in my honest opinion. So it was just a process of fin
figuring out what works for me.Wow, I love it that you're so
informed about all of these different modalitiesthat you can use and incorporate CEO two

(26:41):
Lift into your skincare routine. You'revery well versed. Now, blaz we're
going to talk men's sexual health andskincare. So men's sexual health is often
a taboo topic. How do youthink that the CEO two lift products can
contribute to breaking the stigma and promotingbetter sexual wellness and confidence at least for

(27:03):
the skin down there? Yeah?I mean, you know, as you
said, you know, it increasesthe hydration by you know, one hundred
plus percentage, and you know yourwhole body is is is important. So
you know, as you're taking careof your face, is important that you
take care down there, especially asa man and a woman too. Had

(27:26):
products for a woman as well,so it's super important. You know,
you have your significant other or youwant to look good kind of everywhere.
So thank God for CO two liftand you know health CEO two Lift V
Baby two Lift V. That's whatit's all about. In just three applications.

(27:48):
The vaginal rejuvenation treatment, which isthe same as the penal rejuvenation treatment,
will help tighten and lift it allbasically using carbon dioxide therapy. So
simple, and it enhances circulation byrushing oxygen rich blood to tissue and regenerating
cells to improve sensitivity and lubrication.I'm going to pivot to you Broadrick.

(28:11):
Let's talk about the importance of men'sskincare from your point of view. So,
men's skincare is becoming more popular, but it still faces some resistance,
especially men's skin down there. Howdo you think CO two lifts approach helps
demystify and encourage more men to takebetter care of their skin and their intimate

(28:33):
areas. I feel like the bestthing about CO two is as a community
involved and with anything health related, whether it's mental health, skin care health,
or personal bran anything along those lines. It takes a community of people
who will encourage the drive and thenotion and the conversations of things that will

(28:53):
be normalized. So I feel likewhen it came down to the journey of
allowing skin care to be a partof my lifestyle, not just something that
I needed to do, it camedown to how much I actually loved and
cared about myself. You know,we have one vessel to take care of,
and taking those practices like incorporating differentproducts, trying new things and seeing

(29:15):
what it's done for other people wouldencourage other people to go about taking those
new regimens. So I feel likein my personal journey, in my doing
my due diligence, I find honorin sharing different types of ways to encourage
growth and also structure into a man'slife that relates to self care, so

(29:38):
that I feel like that's a bigpart of self care is recognizing all parts
of your body and not just toface body, the muscles, all that
stuff has to have some type ofknowledge for it, so men men have
to start talking about this more often. Now, Blease, let's talk about
personal experience with this incredible carboxy therapymask. Can you tell us about when

(30:00):
you first tried it? Why doyou believe it's an essential treatment now going
forward, not just for your facebut overall skin health, including your intimate
areas. Yeah, I just thinkthe effectiveness and you know how fast it
works. Using other products, sometimesyou need to do it maybe like ten
times or you know, a fewtimes to really see results. And with

(30:22):
Seal two lift, right away yousee the results. And that's something super
poor because you know, in thisday and age, we don't really have
time to be doing something too manytimes to get the results. So you
know, we want it right away, and Coe two Lift does a great
job of providing that. You know, Aset Broderick sexual health advocacy, we're

(30:45):
still talking about this because it's ahuge focal point. At least I believe
this to be the case. Asthe millennial mom, you're an advocate for
men's sexual health. Why do youbelieve that products like Coe two lift are
important in the conversation about sexual wellnessand how can they help men feel more
confident and healthy. I feel likeanything when it comes down to health,

(31:10):
we look at things like working out, I look at things like eating habits
and stuff. So when it comesdown to sexual health and using Cooso lift
again, I've had to go throughthe process of understanding what I find valuable,
what has worked for me. SoI always go into encouraging new audiences

(31:33):
and people who want to learn moreabout the whole self care the whole self
care category as me being a sayinglike, hey, I know exactly I've
been what you're going through, andI see what you're doing, and here's
how I live now, and here'swhat I can here's how you can do
better. So I feel like it'sone of those things where I feel I
can be a voice and an encouragementfor that type of audience. So that's

(31:56):
why I always encourage people to sayyes to a jump and yes to something
new, because you just never knowwhat might come on it. Aside,
well, we are at the endof this segment. Thank you so much
for coming on, Broderick and Blaze. It was such a pleasure chatting with

Right here from my heart headquarters inMidtown Manhattan. Today, we're joined
by Ricardo Capone, CTO of DoctorGreen NFT, the world's first legal blockchain

(34:16):
on demand botanical delivery. He leadsthe company vision by implementing the technologies needed
to bring doctor Green to the world. Ricardo has a passion for the cannabis
industry and seeks to be a leaderin the revolution for legalizing the use of
cannabis on the global stage. Today, he's joined by his good friend Chloe
Vellano, founder and president of CloverleafUniversity. She's a pioneer in the cannabis

(34:40):
industry herself, and she's played akey role in establishing Colorado as a global
leader. As an entrepreneur, executive, and business consultant. She's built Colorado's
medical cannabis industry and played a crucialrole in legalizing recreational cannabis statewide. She
founded the Cannabis Business Association and cloverUniversity, the first cannabis university licensed by

(35:02):
Colorado's Department of Higher Education. Chloyahas consulted for hundreds of businesses, influencing
over a billion dollars a billion dollarsmy friends and sales, and creating industry
standards in business practices and education.Clearly a very very impressive resume trailblazers in
the field. They joined me todayat our iHeart headquarters right here in Midtown

(35:23):
to help me demystify stigmas surrounding thecannabis industry, its unusual evolution onto the
blockchain and NFTs, and how itall fits into the global legalization of the
industry. Welcoming now to the showare my dear friends and experts on the
microphone, Chloe and Ricardo. Welcometo the show, superstars. Hey,

(35:43):
he for having us. Yeah, thank you for that nice introdution. Amazing
all right, So I'm so happythat you guys are both here. You're
speaking my love language in so manyways. But first for that for those
listeners, this all comes down tothe bottom line of money, guys.
The rap growth of the cannabis industryis fueled by the increasing legalization as we

(36:04):
know and use of the age oldplant for medicinal and recreational purposes and blockchain
integration. WHOA that takes this allto the next level, because that offers
significant benefits to the cannabis industry, including improved supply chain transparency and enhanced security
we were just talking about this, and even more efficient transaction processing. Right.
A study by Markets and Markets estimatesthat the blockchain market size is projected

(36:30):
to grow from three billion dollars intwenty twenty to forty billion back by the
year of twenty twenty five, andthat's just one year away now, Ricardo,
let's chat what you specialize in blockchainand cannabis. Yeah, so it's
a great crossover. We've started inthe medical cannabis field for the last five
years really, and we focus onbiotechnologies for human ailments. What we do

(36:54):
is we take DNA samples of ourpatients and we run them into our lab
and we cross reference their DNA profilewith genetic profiles of plants. So when
we analyze the cannabis plants genetic welook at the mitochondrial genetics and the nuclear
genetics, and what that gives usis a full breakdown of the constituent parts

(37:15):
of the plant that are able tosolve a particular person's problem. So if
we've got a guy with epilepsy, for example, we take a swab of
his mouth and we have a lookat the best way or the best plant
to be able to treat this particularhuman. So it's crossing DNA of people
with plant genetics and from there we'vebuilt our business model. Where it gets

(37:37):
really interesting is we discovered that themitochondrial and the nuclear genetics they never change
all the way from seed through tothe bud until it's smoked, so that
allows us to identify the plants allthe way through its journey. I'm sure
you've heard of seed to sail traceabilitybefore, but there's nothing quite like this.

(37:59):
Because we are doing is we're creatingencryption key pairs based on the plant
genomics. So we essentially have analgorithm that creates a key pair from the
genetic of the plant, and thepublic key goes onto the packaging, but
it follows the seed throughout the lifecycle. So when the customer has the

(38:20):
packet or the patient has the packetof cannabis, they can scan that QR
code on the outside and they cansee the full history of not only where
their cannabis has come from, buthow much water was used to grow the
plant, what chemicals went into it, how many humans have touched it,
what temperature or humidity was the roomat, how long was it in storage,
and what percentage of nitrogen is inthe packaging. All of the metrics

(38:43):
coming out of our facility go intothat software. So it gives the consumer
confidence that the cannabis has been ona legitimate, regulated journey to end up
in the palm of their hands.Wow. Also beyond that the regulator can
take out the cannabis from the packet, they can genome sequence it either in
our lab or another lab local tothem. It doesn't really matter because the

(39:05):
genome never changes, and that genomesequence will be the private key that unlocks
the public key on the packet,So it ties digitally the physical cannabis to
the packaging and the information. Sothe data gets tied to the actual genetic
of the plant, which is reallyinteresting. This is the traceability side of

(39:27):
it. Wow, this is youjust blew my mind with everything you just
said, because you know, whenwe talk about blockchain technology and really the
use cases of helping streamline and amplifythese regulatory compliance processes by providing this single
source of truth for our stakeholders, you just summarized it in what you do.
Yeah. Well, what's really interestingthen is the blockchain part of it

(39:51):
didn't really come in to phase twoof our development because we had a software
that we took to our regulator inPortugal. We showed it to Infomed,
who regulate all scheduled drugs in thecountry, and they shot holes in it.
They were like well, it's softwarethat can be manipulated. You could
change the data. As you're asoftware engineer, you could potentially be hacked.

(40:13):
We are only hosting it on apatcheservers and things like that, and
they were right about all those points. And it was when we sat with
our CEO, Maximilian White, who'sa real visionary in this cannabis space.
He suggested to me that I goand look at blockchain technology to solve that
problem. And that's where I startedto research a little bit more about how
the blockchain could be effective. Portugalhas a fantastic well there you go relationship.

(40:37):
I'm going to get to that injust a sec. But I'd love
to hear from Chloya as well. But you are on the money. On
the money, I mean smart contracts, right, They automatically verify the identity
and eligibility of a customer and calculateand collect, you know, the appropriate
taxes and update the inventory and salesrecords. So this fits into exactly the

(40:57):
ethos of blockchain technology. But you'rean industry leader. Let's talk about industry
leadership. So you've been instrumental inestablishing Colorado as a leader in the cannabis
industry. What were some of thekey strategies and actions that you took to
achieve this and how can other statesreplicate this success is what I'm most interested
in. Yes, absolutely, Well, we looked at the problems that we

(41:21):
were facing, and we really lookedthat patients needed access to cannabis for medical
reasons, and we started with medicalmarijuana. And so I consulted many government
agencies, including the first Department ofRevenues, Marijuana Enforcement Division, the Department
of Agriculture, DORA, all ofthese agencies that came in and said,
how can we create a system wherewe can get patients access to medicine?

(41:44):
And so, you know, wereally listened and we looked at other commodities
that would be sold and how theywould be regulated, and we started the
development and it changed rapidly from wherewe started to where it is today.
And boy, you've come such along way, because I mean, we
have a few more year ahead ofus before mass acceptance, if you will,

(42:06):
But now that you've taken it too. Were not you particularly, but
companies like you know, Doctor Greenand n FT. By using these blockchain
based platforms such as laboratories or certifierscannabis producers can now submit their product,
right if you think of it,for testing and certification in such a secure
and transparent way. And we're alwaystalking about trust, right, and the

(42:28):
testing and certification results that are storedand shared on the blockchain, those create
a tamper proof and trustworthy record andthat's what it's all about that can be
accessed by consumers, regulators, regulators, and other stakeholders. How how Ricardo
just easily, you know, soeloquently put in his in his first answer.
Now, Ricardo, let's talk aboutglobal vision, because that's what that's

(42:50):
what we're really talking about, right. So you have a passion for the
cannabis industry and you really seek tolead its global legalization. That's at the
heart of it all. But whatsteps do you believe are necessary to achieve
this worldwide acceptance and legalization? Andhow is doctor Green NFT contributing to the
vision. That's such a great question, and I think that the most important

(43:13):
stare pus you've pointed out is transparency. Being able to enter into markets where
the government the regulators can be confidentthat the supply chain is regulated cannabis and
spoofing the introduction of black market cannabisto a legal supply chain is virtually impossible
in this environment because you can checkand you can actually highlight those incidences where

(43:37):
that happens and people can be heldaccountable. If we're providing a responsible platform
to give patients access to this cannabis, then that's something that we are looking
to do globally and what we willdo to facilitate that. With our licensing
from Portugal, we are able totransact cannabis on the blockchain while using ERC

(43:59):
seven twenty one tokens to facilitate thetransactions. Now where that got really interesting.
You mentioned smart contracts. Our smartcontracts contain our cannabis licensing and they
have rights like affiliate rights for somebodyto be able to transact our cannabis on
our blockchain without having to jump throughall of those hoops that it would take

(44:19):
to go and start your own cannabiscompany. So if you were to begin
then I'm sure you know it's veryexpensive as an endeavor to get into the
cannabis industry. It's almost unattainable tothe small business guy to build those facilities,
to get that regulation, to getthe licensing to build you distribution to
prove you strained stability. All ofthese key factors that go into actually having
a successful cannabis company can cost alot of money and time. With our

(44:43):
token, a person can purchase ourtoken, an entrepreneur who wants to enter
the cannabis space, and they canfind patients, they can onboard, and
we can facilitate as the regulated company, the actual growing, packaging and delivery
of that regulated medical cannabis. Andso that means that more uptake of entrepreneurs

(45:04):
who can distribute will happen through thisplatform, and more safety and security for
the end user. So innovative.Wow. Now, Chloe clover Leaf University,
as a pioneering educational institution in thecannabis industry, without a doubt,
plays a crucial role in setting industrystandards. With more than to my understanding,
three hundred thousand students worldwide, youruniversity has established itself as a leading

(45:30):
provider of cannabis education and training. Now, as the founder of clover Relief,
the first licensed let me say, cannabis university, how do you see
education shaping the future of the industryand what new educational initiatives per se are
you currently working on? Well,it's interesting because in Colorado, how we
were able to really legalize in thestate of Colorado first was we did the

(45:52):
Safer campaign. Cannabis is safer thanalcohol, and that was an educational campaign
where people realize, wow, youknow, it's it has a stigma,
this reefer madness, but it reallyis safer. People make better decisions on
it than they would if they were, you know, really drunk. And
so when we compared it to that, people understood from a responsible consumer standpoint

(46:15):
what we were trying to, youknow, the industry were trying to create.
So I think education is really thefoundation. Not only that cannabis has
been illegal to research up until now, so we don't have any research with
this amazing plant that has so manymedical benefits, economic benefits, and can
do so many things for the world. So with so many people coming to

(46:37):
the university, and I mean wehad football players coming they had traumatic brain
injury, they wanted to see ifthey could get help. We had people
coming from all over seeking education becausesomehow they knew that this plant would help
them, and even regulators because theyknew that this is a billion dollar underground
market and if we can regulate itwe can provide safe products and we can

(47:00):
give access to patients, oh withouta doubt. And due to the lack
of quality and safety standards in thecannabis industry, many consumers are just unsure
about the authenticity and the potency andthe purity of the products. Right,
So you are one hundred percent rightnow, Regardo. Let's check challenges and
solutions. So what are some ofthe major challenges you've encountered while integrating blockchain

(47:22):
with cannabis delivery and how have youaddressed them to ensure compliance and security.
Absolutely, different countries have different regulations. Obviously, the UK, being one
of the first countries that we're launchingin, has perhaps one of the most
strict medical certifications for cannabis, andthe vertical that you have to create in

(47:43):
the UK consists of your WDL,which is your wholesale distribution license, and
then you're Scheduled one and two ControlledSubstances license, and on top of that
you then have to get your ManufacturerSpecials License and then your CQC which is
your clinic license to be able toto deliver and then bringing those doctors who
can prescribe. Also in the UnitedKingdom is a very big challenge. So

(48:07):
that vertical for us in the UnitedKingdom was perhaps one of the most challenging
parts, which we have successfully completed. So we've overcome that. Well,
then that is not a challenge anymore, but a failing forward learning curve.
Now, chloelitchchat policy and regulation. We have under three minutes left. But
your work in policy and legislative consultinghas been pivotal. And according to the

(48:31):
National Conference of State Legislatures, asof twenty twenty three, thirty six states
and four territories allow for the medicaluse of cannabis products, while eighteen states
two territories in the District of Columbiahave legalized cannabis for adult wrec use.
Now, given your extensive experience withpolicy and legislative consulting, what do you

(48:52):
see as the most pressing regulatory issuesfacing the cannabis industry today and how do
you think they could be addressed. We have an over we have an over
regulated industry, and we also cannotget banking in the industry because of regulations.
And so right now we are lookingto reschedule cannabis. I'm sure as

(49:12):
you know that President Biden, youknow, was given a report from the
Department of Health and they are reviewingthat and looking to possibly reschedule marijuana very
soon. So I think as wego forward, you know, we are
pressing toward that decriminalization. We doknow cannabis is safe for than alcohol,
and we really should get to thatfull decriminalization one percent without a doubt.

(49:35):
I mean, despite the growth andpotential the cannabis industry, Chloe faces these
significant challenges and regulatory compliance and thebanking restrictions and social stigma. I mean,
the list goes on and on.But innovators like yourselves, the two
of you are at the forefront ofaddressing these issues through technological integration and policy
advocacy, which I think is suchan incredible, incredible feat. Now the

(50:01):
future of Doctor Green NFT, Ricardo, looking ahead, what are your plans
for Doctor Green NFT in the nextfive years and how do you see the
role of technology evolving in the industrywell? As Chloe mentioned there that the
access to good banking for this particularsystem, and the regulatory frameworks that are
hard to navigate. I think decentralizationis the way forward for a lot of

(50:23):
different industries. And I'm just lookingover the next five years to completely decentralize
and democratize actually the transactional side ofcannabis and also the patient safety side.
Chloe, we have one minute left. Let's chat industry evolution. So,
having been featured in major publications andnamed one of the most influential people in

(50:44):
cannabis, what are the biggest changesyou've seen in our industry, this industry,
particularly the cannabis one, over thepast decade and where do you see
it heading in the next couple ofyears. I think it was so interesting
when we legalized medical marijuana. Weunderstand that patients needed access to medication,
and all we had was opioids, and we're in an opioid crisis. And

(51:06):
as we go forward, you know, now we had recreational on the ballot
and we realized nobody should be injail for marijuana. And so I think
that there's been this evolution. Weneed to free our prisoners, we need
safe access for patients so they don'tget addicted to opioids, and we need
to decriminalize cannabis as it is avery safe substance that offers a lot of
solutions for many people. Couldn't agreemore. While we are at the end,

(51:29):
my dear friends, thank you somuch for coming on and being so
transparent and full of education. Ihad a great time chatting with you today.
Yes, guys, blockchain technology issuch a powerful tool that can support
the legal cannabis industry in so manyways by providing solutions for regulatory compliance,
banking access, product quality and safety, supply chain management, and consumer trust.

(51:52):
Blockchain technology can definitely help the industryovercomeage challenges and in my opinion,
achieve potential like it's never seen before. Now when you talk about blockchain tech,
that can also create these new opportunitiesand innovations that we've been talking about
on the show for such a longtime. For the cannabis industry. Specifically,
it's going to enable new forms offinancing which we so desperately need,

(52:13):
investment opportunities, tokenizations like Ricardo soeloquently, and even crowdfunding, lending,
trading, and just so much more. Blockchain tech is not only beneficial for
the cannabis industry, but also forthe society as a whole by creating a
more sustainable, transparent, and inclusiveecosystem. That was our Cannabis Culture segment,

this week's express beauty sentiment for amoment of zen by yours truly skinned by
sary. Have you heard that newtrend going around on social media about botox

(53:43):
face link? Can you believe it? Can we actually get a facelift of
beck just by using botox to ourlower face? Well, historically we've used
in botox all the neck areas. For a muscle we call the platissima muscle
that TrEPS down like a sheet overour lower face and onto our net into
our colon bone. And when wesee that area relaxed, or when we

(54:07):
botox that area, we can actuallyget a contouring effect of that muscle.
In other words, we call ita never tidy lift or a more defined
jawline. Well, now the trendis ticket one step further and put both
tops on your lower face. Whatdoes that do? It relaxes that same
muscle or set of muscles at thelower face that pull down and contribute to

(54:30):
the jowl. When we relax thatmuscle. The cheap muscles are the zygomaticus
muscles. The smile muscles win thetug of war, and we see an
actual lift or repositioning of the tissuesand volume in our face. So how
much of a lift can you expectfrom just putting some botox along your jawline?

(54:52):
We see an upwards of sometimes twentyto thirty percent effect. That's pretty
good, cany. There's no surgeryhere, so would you try it?
