(00:00):
Ninety four point nine the bull. Thanks for hanging out on your Friday.
It's mood, Kimmy and otis comingup in just a few minutes. Let
you know, when we got ZachBrian tickets, we got to Land in
United tickets for their home opener tomorrow. Oh cool. And we also have
tickets to Georgia Food and Wine Festival. Also. I had to go get
my driver's license renewed yesterday and theDMV, the woman there, she rattled
me with her car. She raddledme to my car with something you said.
(00:22):
And oh no, yeah, it'sthe things that strangers I don't even
know you say that really stick withyou. It was her reaction when I
told her my height and weight.Oh oh no a second, I'm still
rattled. Hey, Samantha and Jackson, what do you look back and shock
you survived? Actually, my dadhad a nineteen eighty four Bronco that was
our family vehicle, and that carhad no seat belts in the back seat,
(00:47):
and if Dad slammed on the brakes, you hoped and prayed that your
shoes or whatever didn't go through thefloorboard because there was holes in the floorboard.
Yeah, well, you and thenriding in the back of pickups,
you never know what was gonna happen. Then I used to sit on Dad
had a spare tire in the backof the ranger, and I used to
sit on top of the tire whilewe were going. Looking back now too,
it's funny because I remember when mydad put us on top of the
(01:10):
hay truck because he didn't have anyany rope to rope it down, and
we were laying on the top ofthe truck. We thought it was hilarious.
We were just holding the bailing twine. And then when we got to
the bottom of the driveway, hewas like, all right, guys,
you can hop off the truck becausehe didn't want my mom seeing it.
He never realized why he Now,I just dawned on me that he told
us to get off the truck andwe got home because he didn't want to
(01:32):
pull in the driveway with three kidson the top of a hay truck.
A lot of dads were staring atthe mall was back. Yes it's mood.
Kimmy at otis on Georgia's number onefor New Country ninety four point now
on the bull in just seconds hereI'll tell you how a woman at the
DMV rattled me to my car.She apologized afterwards. Yeah remember what,
(01:52):
Oh no, you were so outwardwith like hurry like what she said?
You're reacting. My face said allof it on a second, but first,
Happy International Women's Day today, KimmiKaruba and all you awesome women out
there. We want to hear aboutthe wild country women in your life.
Sister, aunt, what wife, mother, whoever it is, whatever story
(02:13):
makes you smile, we want tohear that one. So go to that
iHeart talkback. Hold that microphone down. Here's the cool thing. We have
tickets to Lanni United, and wehave two pairs or we have two sets
of four we're gonna give away atseven to ten. The way you can
get in for that, you earlyfolks, is by hitting that iHeart talk
back and tell us exactly how wonderfulthat country woman is in your life.
Who they are, give a bigshout out. We're gonna play those throughout
the show. We also got ticketsto Zach Brian at seven thirty and the
(02:35):
Georgia Food and Wine Festival at eightten. So I was out in McDonough
yesterday I read for read across America. At Ola Elementary School, McDonald's a
big shout out to Miss Molly Sutherlandand all the classrooms down there. Again,
I got heckled a bunch by kidsreading books. Of course, I
stumbled over, I have dyslexia. In the book that I read yesterday,
The Poudy Powdy Fish and the BullyShark had way too many like iteration.
(03:00):
Oh no, yeah, so,and I'm good at reading, but it's
taken a lot of work through theears, especially reading out loud dyslexia the
fact that you even tread and doit. But then also you have all
these rhyming words and things like that, so it gets a little bit tricky.
But before that, I went overto the DMV and McDonough because I
needed to renew my driver's license, and uh, they were having computer issues.
(03:23):
I gotta put that out there becausewhat happened was a miscommunication that rattled
me to my core. So thewoman behind the counter is like, okay,
hey, stand against the wall andwe'll take your picture. And first
of all, I'm six four andthe camera is for an angle of a
person who's like average five to seven, So I look like a giant fatso
(03:43):
in the picture anyway, I'm surprisedthey didn't cut your head off. It's
like not a good angle for me. So she goes, oh, shoot,
what is your height and weight?Again? Because like the computers were
screwing up and I was standing thereabout to take the picture, and she
goes, oh, shoot, sorry, the comput are being weird. Can
you what's your height and weight?Because I had entered it online when I
(04:03):
did that, when I was doingthe online application, and I go,
uh, six four forty five andshe goes, oh no, what And
I'm like what because I'm like, okay, maybe and then like okay,
maybe two fifty but I'm like okay, and she goes, oh no,
I'm sorry, honey, And todo my face is like white is a
(04:24):
ghost because I'm like, I feellike this woman just called me on a
total lie on my height and weightright Like I'm I feel like you could
say anything of the DP. Youcan say I'm six nine, two hundred
and eighty nine pounds and they're gonnabe like sounds good. Let's keep moving.
And she goes, oh no,what no, And I'm like,
she's oh, I'm not talking toyou and I was like, oh,
(04:46):
I thought you just yeah. Igo, I thought you just called me
out for lying about my weight, and she goes, I would never.
I'm like, my heart was raising, and she goes, I'm so sorry,
honey. The computer the computer frozefor a second, and I for
a minute, I just thought Iwas the first person in the world to
be called on a lie at theDMV, because who's ever honest about nobody?
(05:06):
It's ever been honest about my way. One person's been honest at the
DMV. Ever. Thanks for listeningto move Kimmy and otis in the morning.
I was a great love waking updriving thirty thirty five minutes to do
the other in the morning ninety fourpoint nine, The Good Morning bull Riders,
ninety four point nine, The BulletsMoot, Kimmy and otis International Women's
Day. This is how we're celebratingtoday. We want to hear about the
(05:28):
wild country women in your life.Doesn't matter their relationship could be a teacher
that you love anything, wife, sister, mother, aunt, cousin.
But tell us on the talkback hitthat I heard talk about called that microphone
down and tell us who they areand a little bit about it. If
you've got a funny country story abouthim as well, do that. That'll
get you in the running for AtlantaUnited tickets. We had a four pack
of those. We had two sets. We're giving out at seven ten.
(05:48):
So we'll throw your name in thehat and we'll draw and you can win
yourself tickets. So I'll remind youwhat's happening on Sunday in just a minute.
But first, in celebration of InternationalWomen's Day, I pulled some really
cool stats of country women and thedifferent I guess things that they've broken,
like. For instance, Patsy Klinwas the first female country artist to headline
(06:11):
a Las Vegas residency and perform atCarnegie Hall in New York. She's also
the first woman to be inducted intothe Country Music Hall of fan posthumously in
nineteen seventy three. Dolly Parton theonly country artist who has had a top
twenty hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songschart for six decades in a row.
I saw a crazy stat yesterday onTwitter. I can't remember it all the
way, but it said something like, on this day in nineteen seventy nine,
(06:34):
Dolly partner and had her like thirtyfirst studio album and I was like,
what this insane? Right, fiftyyears ago she already had thirty albums.
And this is pretty cool too.Thomas Art's wife, Lauren Aikins.
She has just started her own sweatshirtline for kids, and all of the
different sweatshirts have various graphics, theyhave a different scripture piece on them.
(06:57):
And she did this with her friendApril Tomlin. So just another woman in
business. Okay, thing that's happeningon Sunday daylight saving time? Oh again,
I know. Wait we're springing forward, yes, so we can so
that we can have more daylight, but we're losing that out. This is
the bad one. Yes, thisis a fallback one I'm all about.
(07:19):
You're like, yes, another hours. This just means actually, this might
finally catch my son and back up, because when you have a baby,
they don't respect daylight saving time.No petstone either. They like, wait,
I'm supposed to be eating like anhour ago fallback mint that Ronan was
up at like three point fifty fiveon a Saturday on a Sunday morning.
(07:39):
So this might help you, itmight help me personally, who knows.
But I mean, regardless I hatespring for it. I understand why we
need daylight saving time. I getit, especially if you live up in
the north part of this country whereI grew up in Washington State. It
gets dark so early, it stayslight out so late in the summertime that
you have to shift. But allright, well, sorry, sorry,
(08:00):
sorry, we're a bunch of bummers. Say goodbye that extra hour. It's
the headlines of Kimmy Krub every Daysix ten and eight ten, ninety four
point nine The Bull. You guys, y'all are great. Save us as
your favorites. Put us right inyour favorites on your phone. I just
did ninety four point nine on theBull. Thanks for being here on your
Friday. It's moot Kimmy and OtisI'm Brian Moot. On Fridays we highlight
(08:22):
someone new and notable. And actuallyevery night at eleven, you have two
hours to night, right, KimiKrub. That's right to celebrate the weekend.
Back to back brand new country music. This is really cool. So
Lady Wilson going to be kicking offher Country's Cool Again tour that starts in
May. She'll be coming through Alfarettain October. But what's cool is that
(08:43):
she went on the Kelly Clarkson Showand they performed her brand new song together
called Country's Cool Again. It's interesting, you know, I kind of agree
(09:07):
country is cool again. But thenagain, I feel like when I thought
country wasn't cool, it's because Iwas a teenager and my dad listened to
country and I was like, Idon't guard smart, you know, like
I didn't want to like relent andsay that I thought country was cool.
And it feel like generationally, Ithink unless it is again, I don't
know. No, I mean Itotally, I completely agree with you.
In high school, I did notthink country was cool at all. It's
(09:31):
really fun though, because when Leandywas talking about the song, she was
saying that it's more than just agenre. It's definitely a way of life.
Especially coming from Louisiana. I willsay I think social media has really
embraced like country lifestyle, country living, you know, hunting, fishing,
farming, just off the grid, yeah, off the grid, being rural.
I think it's encouraged people to goback out into those areas and not
(09:52):
feel like you have to live ina you know, in the town to
be connected with people. It's interesting, that whole evolution. It's interesting.
Also, shout out to Laney Wilsonand to have the confidence to sing a
due out with Kelly Clarkson pace.Everyone says the worst part of Kelly Clarkson
covering your song is that she doesher song better than you two. You
literally said that you were on theshow you just got town, that you're
(10:13):
like, you know, like Kelly. You in right. Everybody sounds better
with Laney or Kelly singing background vocalsfor you, So feel free to belt
that one out in your car. Here's another guy that can do background for
you right now till you can't.I get so fired up when this song
comes on. Turry Kid, it'sCody Johnson, It's Moot, Kimmy Otis,
thanks for being here with us.We want to celebrate those wild country
(10:33):
women in your life, the storiesthat make you smile, your favorite things
about them, so shout them out. You can do this on the talkback
or give us called four O fourseven four one zero ninety four nine.
Tell us who they are, doesn'tmatter their relationship to you. Just want
to celebrate awesome women in your lifeand tell us that wild country story.
This is probably one of my favoritesubmissions. Oh and we have two four
packs of tickets for the Landa Unitedwe're gonna give out at seven to ten.
(10:54):
We're gonna start this topic at sixfifty five. I just want to
get you early birds in the runningearly if you want to try to get
in. So this is Tanya fromCovington and she wants to She wants to
brag about her country, her countrydaughter, Samantha. I raised an amazing
daughter. She was about twelve andwe were showing steers, and her steers
(11:16):
probably about twelve hundred pounds. Shewas maybe eighties, ringing wet, and
he came in from the steerbarn andshe had blood on her knuckles. Well,
because of the mom I'm gonna panicand I'm like, oh my god,
what's wrong, what's wrong? What'swrong? Nothing? So I go
out there and the deer, twelvehundred pound steer has blood running from its
nose. And I looked at herand know, what did you do?
(11:39):
What happened? He wouldn't listen,so a punchting that stare ended up when
in first place in his class ineverything we showed him in. She's a
cancer survivor. She's pregnant, andshe is just an amazing, amazing,
amazing woman. And I just Iam very proud of the mom to have
her. God give me a greatwoman. That's a strong submission right out
(12:01):
the gates. Samantha the surly twelveyear old popping the steer in the nose.
It wouldn't listen, it's so funny. You don't course terrified. Don't
punch your giant calendar your steer inthe nose, but listen. Wouldn't listen
to me? Mom? So hitthat iHeart talk bag or give us call
four O four seven four one zeroninety four nine Internet. Yeah, you
(12:24):
can't fix stupid. Proven it withmood Kimy and otis on ninety four point
n oceans of stupidity lapping on ourshores. Don't try to fix and just
laugh at That's what we do everyday. At six forty and seven fifty
five, otis, who's up theDouglas County utility worker who was peeing in
somebody's front yard that they're not happyabout going the front yard. Yeah,
that's some respects side of the house. At least one homeowner to Carlo's petty
(12:50):
identified the company or let them knowthat their worker was out in front of
his yard. He was working ontour and water. That's a that's ironic,
right right into that direct line. They were relieving pressure from a fire
hydrant. And then he relieved hisown self. There's a video and pictures
this guy took of the man.He fortunately kind of turned towards his truck.
(13:13):
You know how you open the doorto your truck and you just kind
of like get there in the corner. And no, I pulled that move
many times, it'd be different forkimmy. He relieved himself and then went
back to work. Well, thefather of several kids, who says play
football out there in the front yardoften, was not too happy that this
man was just kind of out inthe open like he was. He was,
(13:33):
Oh, I was thinking, ifthey're playing football and then they happened
to just like land in that exactspot, is unfortunate news for yours.
I know, I know, butit's mentally it's different. The underdine identified
worker I'm sure be reprimanded as thecompany is investigating the situation right now,
But like you said, pick adifferent spot, bro, Like what are
(13:54):
you doing? You work for thesewer there was like a there's you go
back around, find a tree inthere. I mean, I grew I
grew up on a farm. Weused to pee everywhere. But you just
got to find the right spot. You gotta have at least you gotta have
coverage on at least three walls.Okay, that's fair, I guess,
he said, fix stupid. Butit's even funnier that he works for the
water and Sewer thirty. He's like, I'm just testing it. Okay,
(14:20):
you're mad at me, and Iwant to make sure this works. Okay,
so gross, Mostly festival seasons comingup, Ryan, That's what I
have to just tell myself is nothappening when I'm walking through those different fields
for festivals. You don't understand. You're telling yourself. It's International Women's Days.
We want to hear about the wildcountry woman in your life. Four
oh four seven four one zero ninetyfour nine. Give us a call,
(14:41):

better, everyone who calls in orhits us on the talk back with a
story. You're in for those AtlantaUnited five stripe Friday tickets for their home
opener tomorrow against New England. Wegot this story coming up at six fifty
five and the principal actually called thehouse afterwards. It was like, you
know what, we don't have theinsurance for this. Why the principal call
(15:01):
the home and say, mom,we don't have insurance for that? What
did she do? Four four sevenfour one zero ninety four nine tell us
your story and Otis, y'all area badly when y'all might be last your
New Bull Morning show. Thanks forbeing here with us. You can't get
the kids from school with the truckbecause it won't start, So what do
you do? You go ahead andthrow them on horseback. I mean that
makes sense to me. Kimmy andOtis, we want to hear the story
(15:24):

You got a funny story. Evenbetter, we're celebrating country women for
International Women's Day to Day and everyonewho calls in or submits on the iHeart
Talkback, you're in the running forAtlanta United five shrip Friday tickets for their
home opener tomorrow, which is goingto be crazy. What is eason?
It's going to be Julia in Rome, tell us about that wild country mom.
(15:46):
You got one day when I wasa kid, my mom's truck wouldn't
start, so she had to comepick me up at school. So she
got herself right on the horse. That's awesome. She rode the horse,
and as she not only took herhorse, she took my horse, so
she just like ponied him over there. Oh yeah, she rode over there,
(16:07):
and she actually waited in the pickupline. She imagine the other kids
looking around like, whoa. Ilove that she waited in line, right.
I feel like if you have ahorse, you just like, you
know what, I'll just go cutthe line. But she's just sitting in
there, and people in the reavingyou're like that horse. And the principal
actually called the house afterwards. Itwas like, you know what, we
don't have the insurance for that's schoolon a horse anymore. You might live
(16:30):
in a small town. If yourmom has picked you up on a horse,
that's awesome. Did you guys stopfor food on the way home?
Hit a drive through? Oh gosh, I wish we had roll up to
a Sonic and just sit out thereand order from the curb. And we're
gonna eat a pump cup. Bigversion pup cup. How has nobody done
(16:51):

Good morning, Kathy, who's thatspecial woman in your life that you
want to just give a shout out? Shine light on for International Women's Day?
So I have a friend of minewho they struggled daily, but they
(17:33):
never ever stop helping people. Theyeven build one of those food little boxes
in their sideyard. And they liveon the rough side of town and I
have seen her fill that thing uptoo with kids could buy grabbing snacks and
people getting food. Can I pleasegive a shout out to Ashley Brown.
She is the most wonderful woman. She is so giving and she does for
(17:56):
everybody. See that's the women wewant to lift up today and say thank
you for everything you do to makethis world go around amazing. Thank you
for calling handling. That's so incredible. Seeing something in your community that you
can fix, that you can helpout with and just doing it immediately.
Yeah, like the goodness of people. So, Kimmy, we got this
from Dieheart talk Back and this isfrom Donna out in Stockbridge. Her mom
(18:18):
would spare no expenses, no matterwhat, to get them to see their
grip there. My mom was sofamily oriented growing up, and she wanted
to make sure that we got tosee our grandma in Oklahoma. And she
was determined, no matter what,to get us there. And she didn't
have any breaks in her car.So we took off to Oklahoma with my
mom and my brother and sister inthe back seat. And as we're going
(18:42):
through town and we come upon redlights, she couldn't stop, so she
would turn and go through the neighborhood. Oh my gosh, I'm hitting anybody.
But we got the determination of awoman. Kimmy, I want to
know how many times she did thatand was success, because that's really incredible.
You're gonna take all right hand turn. Yeah, it's gonna go a
(19:03):
square turn right to get back toThey're gonna have a red light No Mo
ninety four point nine. The Bullet'smoot Kimmy and otis. I feel like
that song is perfect for International Women'sDay. Hor do you sleep in the
truck bed? That's right, I'mtired of you. You got to the

life, sister mom, and couldbe just someone in your neighborhood that you
just really love. It does amazingthings. We want to hear more about
them. We got this one fromHailey out in noon and and this one's
(19:47):
great. I feel like my mom'sturning into this woman as well, the
DIY mom. My mom is aDIY lady, always has been. And
she was mowing our backyard and insteadof moving the wing set like she would
have if we were younger still usingit, she decides she's gonna drive straight
through the swing set and one ofthe swings gets cut on the handles of
(20:10):
her lawnmower, and she doesn't stop. She doesn't stop. Apparently she assumes
it's just gonna break because it's anold swing set. It doesn't. It
lifts up the whole front of theof the lawnmower and slips over the lawnmower.
And her response was she gets up, well that's a pretty yeah.
(20:32):
You take out my money where Isay, for thirty five years that thing
still flipped over lawnmower. That's incredible. Four four seven four one zero ninety
four nine. Here's that iHeart talkback. Tell us about the exceptional women
in your life, and you gota story about that. We will think
that all day long four o fourseven four one zero ninety four nine.
Notice no, I just will letyou all know that I switched the ihear
(20:55):
radio at ninety four point nine theBall and now I can listen to y'all
anytime I want you on mood.Kimmy and otis George's number one for New
Country ninety four point. Non'm theBullyard Good Vibe. Story for Friday is
a follow up to a story wetalked about earlier this week. Little Noah
Pope, fifteen month old from Roswellhospitalized for extreme extreme pneumonia. They almost
(21:17):
lost him a few times. We'regonna follow up right now with his mother,
Lena. Lena, can you tellus a little b about how he's
doing, what happened to him,and the crazy stuff that's going on with
you guys now, because it's areally special thing for the Roswell community.
So his lungs literally had a holein them, and so that is why
he needed to go onto echmo, which allows his lungs to fully collapse and
(21:38):
heal, which is crazy to thinkabout that they can collapse your lungs and
basically oxygen at your blood for yououtside your body. My gosh, I
can't imagine your story. Lena kindof went viral because there's a Taylor Slips
connection and it had to do withhis hospital room. You know when he
first got to the hospital. I'ma huge Shower Swift fan. I've been
(22:00):
a Toaswift fan. So she startedout in country music. I actually saw
her at Lakewood Amphitheater when she openedfor Rascal Flats back in the day.
You know, when we were inthe hospital, Like it brought me a
lot of comfort to just have hermusic on and listen to it. And
I kind of joked he was sedated, and you know, they said talk
to him and do all the things, and I would play her music and
I kind of joked with him.I was like, it's just like being
(22:22):
in a car with mom, Bud, Like nothing terrible's happening. We're just
in the car. We're doing thethings. You're strong and brave, you
can do it, and we'll sing. We're shaking it off. Correct.
You know. The one that actuallyhit me was Daylight, the line about
you got to step into the daylightand let it go. Like I kept
saying over and over again, buddy, you just keep on coming to the
daylight, just keep on coming backthis way, because we really, we
(22:45):
really could have lost him. So, Lena, as you're going through all
this crazy stuff with your son,Noah, your husband Ryan at the hospital.
You got totally shocked by something thatyour community in Roswell did. It
was cool because I just got onInstagram and I just saw all of the
stories from our school friends and itwas all of these people with Noah bracelets
and our last name is Pope,so hope for Pope, and Noah's strong
(23:07):
and so strong and so brave, and a lot of them said like Daylight,
which I just you know, crumbled. So after a little over three
weeks in the hospital, he ishome now, right, Yeah, he
came home on Saturdays. It's amazingto us. Kids are so resilient.
He basically opened his little eyes andlooked around and was like, did something
happen? I feel mine? Youguys feel terrible, but I feel great.
(23:33):
I don't get it. It's amazinghow kids can just make you laugh
at just the toughest times ever, and so cool that the community just jumped
into action with you guys. Ijokingly called it the Army of Moms,
that there was just an army ofmoms in Roswell that answered the call and
they were ready to go. Theybrought blankets for the PICCW to just give
out to other patients. They broughtfood for the staff on multiple occasions,
(23:56):
Like they weren't just taking care ofus, they were taking care of the
pick you staff, which was hugefor us. They saw the mom bat
light and Roswell and k running theydid. They set out the Mom bad
signal and they were honest. Suchan incredit
