(00:00):
It's moot Kimmy and Otis. Wegot Georgia country superstar Jason Aldan with us.
Man, how are you hey, what's up guys? How are you
doing? Great? Man, greattalking to you. Thanks for taking some
time for us. Sure, thanksfor having me Jason. So you've had
a monster year. The new album'scoming out November. Third Highway to Esperado.
If you had to pick one highlight, one shocking highlight of the last

(00:20):
year, what are you going with? Yeah, it's been a little while,
you know. The highlight for methis past year's having Toby come out
and join us on stage a coupleof weeks ago in Oklahoma City, and
you know, just getting a chanceto catch up with him a little bit,
seeing him and you know, havinghim come out in the crowd,
you know, respond to him likethey did that night. That was It

(00:41):
was just one of those special nightsman, that that I won't forget for
probably ever. But just a reallycool moment and definitely my favorite moment of
the tour. Yeah, your fanswill never forget that moment either. That's
I wish I was there. Wesaw you back in August here at Lakewood
and that was a phenomenon that.Man, what a show that was,
so thank you for bringing it tothe hometown. You always do it a
little different here. Yeah, man, it's always fun coming back home playing

(01:03):
for the for the hometown crowd, and obviously, I mean Georgia is where
I'm from, and you know, always fun to get back there and kind
of a wild show. I usuallyhave a pretty pretty big guest list for
that show, but that's always alot. You find out you had a
lot of cousins you didn't know youhad remembered all the baseball players I met
through the years. Man, theyall come out to that show. But

(01:26):
it was fun. It was goodto catch up with everybody. Yeah,
we saw Chipper there and a coupleothers. You know, you're a massive
Braves fan. I'm the end gamehost for the Braves. And how are
you feeling about the way the season? Kind of it was historic and then
it just kind of faded out.Well, you know, I'm not a
big fan of how they do theplayoff stuff. I mean, I liked
it better when the wild card wasone game. You know, you played

(01:49):
your way in through one game andand then the other teams that got to
buy you know, when you onlyplay two games in ten days, it's
kind of hard to get it goinga little bit when other teams have you
know, never stopped playing. Soit's there's a little bit of a flaw
in the system for me as faras that goes. But uh, you
know, we had a great year, Brays had a great year, and
you know, obviously I think everybodywas hoping they'd make it a little further,

(02:14):
you know, And but you know, it doesn't take away from the
season they had, which was great, and then that group of guys is
going to be there for you know, quite a few more years ago.
Yeah, we're gonna make another runat it for sure. Yeah, we
still got the Bulldogs that you're onas well, and they're making another run
at it. Do you think theystill have a shot at the third straight?
I mean, I definitely think theyhave a shot at it. They

(02:35):
you know, I mean, they'rethe Kings of college football right now,
and you know, until somebody knocksthem off the thrown, you know,
they're they They're who everybody's going for. So definitely looks like a little bit
of a different team than they've hadthe last couple of years. But you
know, doesn't look as dominant reallyto me. But but Tay, we're
undefeated and I'll take that all day. We're about to get into the uh

(02:59):
to the meat of the skill,so we'll see what happens in the next
few weeks. Go Dogs, NoDogs. So the eleventh studio album about
to hit Highway Desperado name of thealbum and the tour. What is the
song that you can't wait for peopleto hear it when that album comes out?
Not the single, the one thatyou feel the best about. There's
a song on here called whose Rearviewthat is one of my favorite songs on

(03:22):
the album, and just it's oneof those for me that you know,
I think will probably be a singleat some point off this album, and
it's also one that I'm looking forwardto playing live. Just kind of has
that live feel and just a reallygreat song actually, So that's probably my
favorite song on the album. Butthere's a lot of them. Man,
There's a lot of things on herethat that I'm excited about and excited for

(03:46):
the way they turned out, andtop to bottom, I think it's the
best record we've done song wise.I love that great man all right.
So Jason now We're going to playa little game with you. Since you're
from Georgia, we do a littlegame on the show called George Jeopardy.
These should be fairly easy for you. We'll see geareded towards making a little
bit more than we would for mostfolks. Macon and Georgia, your last

(04:08):
two number one albums, and yourhometown. So these large Native American mounds
from around the one thousand eighties area museum in Macon with artifacts spanning thousands
of years. Yeah, the IndianMountains work there, she did. That's
cool. Yeah, my mom workedthere for like for years. Cool.
I'm going to go and see themnow. I know that till I looked
that up today. All right,we talked about them Bulldogs. They ranked

(04:30):
fifth most all time bowl appearances amongcollege football squads. They've appeared this many
times, oh a in a bowlgame. Yeah, it's a square number,
kind of a milestone number. Fiftyfifty Yeah, drilled it. Twenty
eight wins. They only trail Alabamaand Southern cal in the record books.

(04:53):
So go Dogs, no Dog finalone. You've got several CMA Male Artists
of the Year awards. If youget the the coveted Entertainer of the Year,
though very well deserved in your realmuh Merle Haggard. First ever to
win it. This was the firstGeorgia country star to take the award home.
Um, would that be way downyonder? Oh? I know it's

(05:15):
that air. I was thinking Alan. I was thinking Alan or Travis Tree.
I don't think want it. AlanJackson, good job man, three
for three. Nice work, I'llsay it. Still impressed with the fifty
Bowl appearances. That's impressed, allright. Jason is definitely a guess.
Yeah, appreciate you man, havea great one. Love talking to your

(05:38):
brother. Thank you guys,
