and we picked the people and installed the plaques in
the castro. So we had a board meeting last night, okay,
and you know it's a long day. So I'm on
zoom during the board meeting and all of a sudden,

(00:51):
my friend Paul sends me a message.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
He calls my phone. Huh, And I was like, why

Speaker 2 (01:32):
So I was like I'm just lay down.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
And so you were sleeping in the middle of the
board meeting and my friend had to call away yet
and I was like, oh god, everyone is watching. Oh no,
Oh that's hurious.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I was so embarrassed.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
I think my mom Connie tried to take out my dad.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Oh god, what happened.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
So on Friday she's like, I'm gonna cook a nice
steak dinner or the buff of them.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
She bought two different kinds of meat and I'm gonna
tell you why in a minute. Okay, after she cooks
the dinner, they're getting ready to sit down, and my
dad's really struggling to eat his steak. Uh huh, struggling,
and he's like, doesn't say anything to Later on, he
starts kind of lightweight choking on the meat because it's
so so freaking hard to chew and eat. Uh huh.
And my Mom's like, gain, nothing was gotten it you

(03:10):
don't like the meat? And then he's like, no, no, no,
it's fine, it's fine. Why didn't my mom give my
dad my dog banita's food because she was a couple
of wine glasses in I guess she got the meats
mixed up when she cooks them both, uh huh. And
she was giving my dad the dog food, but he

(03:30):
didn't want to say anything to her because he didn't
want to criticize her cooking. So he's just trying to
chew on this freaking hard meat.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Well, if is that hard, why are you trying to
give it to your chihuahua can't chew very hard meat either. Exactly,
not a good look for either one of them.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
That's a whole nother story, I said, Mom, you're trying
to take out my dad because he was choking on
it because it's so hard and my dad can't really.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Chew and like swallow good.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Uh huh. So yeah, and I was convinced. I was like, oh, mom,
he tried to check out Bobby.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
That's payback for when he drove her car through the
car wash with the windows down. Revenge is always a
dish best served cold, or or.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
A heart steak that you can't you when you start joking.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
On Connie served the steak, but one got a taste
of payback. It might have been justice grilled and garnish
with a side of pettiness.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
We'll find out what happens next Tuesday.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
On a new episode of Kirina's Family Drama.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
AI has officially taken over. I think we can all
pretty much agree with that. Right, Okay, well maybe a
little bit too much. Today, the crazy Train is heading
to Colombia, where a pair of Colombian parents made headlines
last week when they decided to turn to artificial intelligence
to help them name their newborn. And I know you're
probably thinking, well, you know, people google search names all

(05:34):
the time. What's so special about them asking AI for
a name. No, they didn't ask AI for a name.
They named their baby chat ypt.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
You're lying.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
I wish I was the official name of their new baby.
Is chat yepit bastidas gera.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
That cannot be legal.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I wish it Wasn't that it is, and that is
what their baby is going to be called henceforth and forevermore.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
That's so dumb, and I feel bad for the kid.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, oh yeah, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Oh my god, forget artificial these parents need some intelligence
because that is just crazy. Can't believe it, but believe it.

Good Morning Drive with Christy Live on Classic Kids one
oh three point seven. It's time for the Great debate.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Is it who you know or is it what you
know that gets you ahead in life? Every Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday have a new Great Debate. And I went
to this event called dish Course the other night, where
you basically have dinner with strangers and you guys talk
about different questions and this is a question that came
up in the middle of dish course. And this woman was,

(07:06):
like I learned early on, she was like twenty five.
My parents always said it was about how hard you work,
but really, when it comes down to your success in life,
it's about your networking skills and who you know. And
I've said that's a really interesting question, so wanted to
bring it to you this morning for the Great debate.

(07:31):
Is it what you know and how hard you work
or is it really who you know that leads to
your success?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Christy, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
That's a hard one. It's a hard one. I think
it can be both. But if you had to pick one,
I would say working hard, because at the end of
the day, if you're a dirt bag like, no one's
going to pay attention to you. Yeah, if you are,
we call a soup sandwich in the navy, whoa bo.
You might be able to know people, but eventually it's

(08:02):
going to catch up with you if you suck at
your job exactly.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I think it's what you know, your education, your experience,
that's what helps you get ahead in life.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (08:10):
One eight sixty six nine hundred one o three seven.
Or you can always tap the red microphone on our
free iHeartRadio app. If you hold it down you can
record a message. It comes straight to the studio. Love
to hear your thoughts for this morning's Great Debate. Next
on Classic Hits, Back.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
To the Great Debate Classic Hits one oh three point seven.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Is it about your work ethic and how hard you work?
Or is it who you know that gets you ahead
in life? That is the question this morning for the
Great Debate and Millie, what do you think?

Speaker 7 (08:46):
I think who you know is very important, But I
think how hard you work creates a whole other energy
that puts you into.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
The right path.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
That is good. I think that's true.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Like you know, it can be a little bit of both,
but I agree it's definitely your work ethic that'll kick
you another.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Not And I think this came up on the Titanic
right when they're sitting around the table. He said, a
real man makes it a luck. That is true. Thank
you so much. I like that, Millie. Take care of
a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
You cao.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Thanks, Good morning, Doug.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
What do you think drives success? Is it working hard
or who you know?

Speaker 8 (09:20):
It's who A lot of times friends will put a
good word in or even be in a position to
do the hiring, and so knowledge will come in time.
But what you know is good. But there's a lot
of PhDs that are out of work. There are a
lot of guys with masters that can find their master
job and they live at home with mom and dad.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
So I really think that it's who you know as
opposed to what you know.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
What I didn't think about that, and it is true.
There are a lot of PhDs.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I have a friend right now, Paul, one of them
who was out of work. And you know what's crazy
is he had to change his resume to kind of
dumb it down because he said, lot of jobs think
he's overqualified. Yes, yeah, interesting perspective. Thanks to have a
great weekend.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Thank you you too.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
What do you think? Is it what you know or
who you know? That is the question for this morning's
Great Debate. If you want to leave a talk back,
just tap the red microphone on our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Hey, this is Kevin from Livermore. Hey, it's all about
what you know. No one can deny skill.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
All right, then, Kevin, thank you for the talkback. Appreciate it.
And what do you think?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
One eight sixty six nine hundred one oh three seven,
Or tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app
like Kevin did, and leave a talk back to join
in this morning on the Great Debate.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Get you on next back.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
To the Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Is it who you know or is it how hard
you work and what you know when it comes down
to success in life.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
That's the question this morning, Bill, What do you think?
First you kind of have to know stuff, and then
you have to Brown knows the right people.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Okay, all right, then, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I will note that vote. Good morning, Mike. What do
you think?

Speaker 8 (11:16):
Honestly, it's a combination of both who you know and
what you do, especially in my profession. Who you know,
will get your foot in the door, but you got
to put the work in to keep it. You're not
willing to put the work in. I show up early
every day and I stay late, and you're not willing
to do that. You're not going to advance anywhere.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Okay, thank you so much. Appreciate that. Rob checking in
from Martinez. What's up, sir? What do you think about
this morning's Great Debate?

Speaker 1 (11:49):
It's who you know?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
I mean, you know, I'm thirty four, But when we
were brought up, it was.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
What you know, But nowadays it's who you know.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Okay, You're like, let me go ahead and connect with
people on LinkedIn and so I can meet the right
people so I can get to where I need to be.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Okay, I will note that vote. Thanks Rob, have a
great weekend.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Got a couple of talkbacks from our app Always appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (12:09):
Jumping in morning, ladies. It's Steina from Minneapolis in the
Great Debate. For certain people who you know will get
you further than what you know. They're going to give
you more chances and opportunities if you know nothing, and
move you further along the line. For most of us,
knowing someone will get us in the door, but we're
gonna have to work as hard or harder to stay

(12:32):
in that door. So knowing for most of us, No.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
No, she got cut off. It only gives you thirty seconds.
I appreciate you. Sina got another one here morning.

Speaker 7 (12:41):
Good morning, it's Ben. Hey, So I'm going to put
my vote in for who you know. I've always worked
hard my whole entire life, and I've been trying to
get this union job for since I was sixteen years old.
Eighteen years old, I finally got it. Yeah, guys, I
had a connection with the company and they were able
to actually get me in. And now now I work
hard and that's why I keep my job. But I

(13:04):
would never got here without knowing somebody. So that's my vote. Thanks,
have a good day.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Thank you so much. Ben appreciate that. Appreciate all of
the calls. Shout out to Loupe, what's up our girl?
She also called in this morning, and everyone else who
jumped in for the great debate. I don't know why
I turned into count.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
I don't know. Most people said it is who you know,
but it's your job to like be able to maintain
it and keep.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
It don't be a scrub. No, don't be a dirt bag. Okay,
gonna be a karna at work. I'm just kidding. You
are one sticky eggy girl. Well that's what Colt drop.
Oh my god, where did that even come from?

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Your count Dragula?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
We don't see.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Okay, well, I guess I'm that you know?

Speaker 1 (13:54):

Speaker 2 (13:55):

Speaker 1 (13:55):
