the traffic's not too crazy. There might be a little
bit of drizzle, but if you're on one oh one

(00:53):
We talked about this last week when this Bay area
woman launched a billboard campaign to land her mister right,
and her billboards have been up for over a week now,
and she said she's still looking for love.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
I just want to meet somebody, and I was just
not having any luck any other way. I want somebody
who leads it a healthy lifestyle like I do, and
somebody who wants to get married and have kids, because
that's something that's really important to me.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
She said that since her billboards have gone up Marylisa
dot Com, she has had over twenty seven thousand visitors
a day, over one hundred and twenty seven thousand page views,
and about three hundred and fifty applications from men who
at the criteria.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Yeah, that is a lot.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
And then of course some of them are like from
different parts of the country and like random people.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Well, of course you're gonna get the crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Some people are from all over the world.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
They've been reaching out to try and marry Lisa, but
she said a majority of them.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Have not read the instructions.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
She wants to get get married and have children with
this stranger danger as she met from her billboards.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I'm just saying, I mean, come on, Christy, did she
doesn't have any homegirls who could introduce her to somebody nice.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Okay, wait right, befriend Lisa dot com and then have
one of your girls or your guys hook you up.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I'm just saying, right, the best of luck, Christy. Did
you apply?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I did not?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I know right, because if she can afford the billboard, okay,
she can buy meat dinner.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Thank you?

Speaker 6 (02:29):
Something I get something from it.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Some strange for a little change it easy, all right?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Listen, got some Cindi Laupper on the way, some Pink
Floyd coming up.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Just gonna get your morning started with some joy.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Next class, Christie Live Good Mornings thirty seven, don't forget
A seven twenty three B fifty two's and depot tickets
coming your way.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
My name is Christy and every family has their fair
share of drama.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
And you might think, oh, my family takes the cake,
but no, let me introduce you to the Velasquiz family.
It's Classic Kids one O three point seven and it
is time to check in with producer Karina's family.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
It's time for another episode.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Of Karina's family drama.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
So you remember how I told you that Cindy took
my parents to the airport.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yes, Producer Karina's parents went to Mexico and her older
sister Cindy ended up taking them to Oakland Airport when
they were supposed to be at SFO.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Well, I forgot to mention that my sister took them
in my mom's new car, the brand new car that
no one's really been inside of it. No one's allowed
to drive it. Not even my dad is allowed to
use a new car. So the other day I get
a text message from my mom from Mexico.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
And she goes, where is my car?

Speaker 6 (03:50):
I was on the stam CARO and a garage and
I said, I don't have your car.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Your new car isn't here. Oh God. Turns out Cindy's
been rolling around.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
I'm in the new car, Oh God, saying anything to anyone.
And my mom this whole time, thought her car was
in the garage.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
So she texted me, Cindy has it.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
That opened up a whole can of worms on the
group chat, where's my car?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
You need to take my car back. They've been gone
for a week and a half. That car's not back.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Yet, if not back yet, And then I said, Cindy,
I said, you need to bring the car back. My
mom can see on the ring camera it's not here.
So well, don't forget to put gas in it. Well,
I barely used it, so I'm not gonna put any
gas in it.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I haven't said anything to my mom. I'll just be like, eventually.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
She'll see the cars back, hopefully without any gas.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Cindy didn't get the green light to drive the car.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Will she crash and burn or will she swear right
into forgiveness.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
We'll find out next Tuesday on a new episode of
Karina's Family Drama.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
You better swerve on over of the gas stations before
she right off.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
You.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Kids three points, Crazy News with Christie Live in Morning Dramas.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Today, the Crazy Train is heading out to South Texas
to Alferd High School. Definitely appreciate all the teachers and
everything you do on a day to day basis to
help educate the children. One teacher in the Wise County
School District maybe did something that was not so wise
because pet is now calling for her to be fired.

(05:57):
This teacher fed a kitten to the snake in her classroom.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Christie, no, you're lying, she said. You can't save them all.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Christie, no, that is so wrong.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
But hid not with people right now.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
One of the kids was so traumatized by the experience
she went home and of course told her parents, and
then the parents complained to the school district.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I know you got to give them like mice or something.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
But dang well, the size of a kitten is probably
the same.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
Nodding to it, the snake said, ooh, is that a pretty.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Do I'm just kidding.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
Oh my god, sorry, oh.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
That was amazing, amazing.

Speaker 8 (07:03):
He retail.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
So wrong, so wrong.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Good Morning Drive with Christy Live on Classic Kids one
oh three point seven. It's time for the great debate.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Should parents be best friends with their kids? When it
breaks down? That is the question? Nice, simple, short and easy.
It's say debate that's happening right now on social media.
And although producer Creen and I don't have any kids,
we have lots and lots of opinions, and you may
not have any kids, but you still have opinions about things,

(07:41):
So feel free to jump in to this morning's great debate.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday got a new question, and
like I said, this is a question that's been rolling
around social media. Do you think parents should be besties

(08:01):
with their kids?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Producer Karina? What do you say?

Speaker 6 (08:04):
I say, no, best friends are equals and kids and
parents are not.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I have friends that are best friends with their kids.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
Uh huh, and they've gotten into a lot of trouble
because there's no respect there.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
It's all out the window. Yeah, you know what I
mean ee, pregnancy and all the stuff.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
I kid you not because they're like, oh, we're going
to be besties, do whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I would have to agree.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
And I actually asked my therapist this question because I
knew we were going to talk about this in the
Great Debate this morning.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
He's like, no, that's not a good idea.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Because there are certain things that you have to do
as a parent that you can't do or encourage the
same way you would encourage your friends. And I think
it's good to have a nice relationship and have an
open communication and dialogue with your kids. But that's different
than being like, yeah, girl, come on, let's smoke this jay.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Okay, let's go get tattoos together. You know, yeah, what
do you think?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
That?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Is the question?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
One E's six nine hundred one three seven. Tap the
red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app if you want

what you have to say next on Classic Kids.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Back to the Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three
point seven?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Should parents be best friends with their kids? That is
the question for this morning's Great Debate. Appreciate you check
it in, Amy.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
What do you think?

Speaker 9 (09:33):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (09:33):
Yeah, definitely, I am still best friends with my mom.
I love being friends with my kids. It builds trust.
It's almost like you can be a kid again too,
and live through their eyes like in this generation. I
am a big advocate of being friends with your kids.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
But don't you think a parent's job is to like
teach their kids and be a mentor? Can you really
do that if you're being best friends with your kids?

Speaker 10 (09:54):
Yeah? And I mean it's like you learn from your
kids too. It's a good relationship.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
All right. Well, thank you so so much for jumping in.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Appreciate you, Amy, have a great dayn note your vote.
Good morning, Leah. What do you think Can you be
best friends with your kids?

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Or should you?

Speaker 11 (10:09):
Absolutely not? You cannot be best friends with your kid.
I mean, where's the boundary in that? Are you going
to talk to them about everything that you talk to
your best friend about?

Speaker 8 (10:16):
No, that's just stupid.

Speaker 11 (10:18):
How are they supposed to know who's in charge? And
like they're just gonna walk all over you. I feel
like you know what I mean, Like that's just not
a good thing. Kid best friends two different things.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
All right, I would definitely note that vote.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Thank you so much for jumping into this morning's great
debate one A six six nine hundred and one three seven,
or you can tap the red microphone on our free
iHeartRadio app if you want to join in.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Good Morning Tony. What do you think so?

Speaker 8 (10:47):
I would say no, because when you have to be
the authoritative figure, you don't have the credibility anymore. It's
just like when in the military, when you become a
NCO from an airman rink, you have to cut certain
ties otherwise you don't have you don't have authority. People
treat like buddy, buddy.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Oh that's a good point. Okay, I'm a Navy vet.
I get it, and thank you for your service too.
What do you think? Can't wait to hear your thoughts?
Jump in join the fun this morning on the Great Debate.

Speaker 3 (11:24):

Back to the Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three
point seven?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Can you or should you be best friends with your kids?

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's a debate happening on social media, and you know
we do a Great Debate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Right here, Isabelle, thanks for calling. What do you think?

Speaker 12 (11:43):
Not until they're adults? Oh, once they graduate college. That's
where you could be more friendly and do things together.
Because now they're an adult and now they realize some
of the pains that you had to deal with struggles,
and now that they're doing it, they realize, Oh, you
aren't be asking me.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Okay, you aren't just trying to be me. You were
actually just trying to like help me. I love that.
Thank you so much, Isabelle appreciate the call.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Jerry, Do you think you can or should be best
friends with your kids?

Speaker 11 (12:14):
No, because the role should be clear with the kids.

Speaker 8 (12:18):
Be a parent, be in BOMs with them, be with them.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Okay, I feel that. Thank you. We will note that vote.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Jennifer appreciates you checking in for the Great Debate. What
do you think can you should you be best friends
with your kids.

Speaker 13 (12:36):
So I think that you can with boundaries and just
because it's your best friend doesn't mean you have to
tell them everything. I'm best friends with my kids.

Speaker 12 (12:44):
I have six.

Speaker 13 (12:45):
Daughters and two boys, and they are my best friends
and I don't tell them everything, but they are the
closest to me to a best friend.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Okay, ah, you got Hey kids, girl, I hope you
need dose. I hope you get all the vacations. I
love that.

Speaker 14 (13:01):
I love big families. Oh man, that's crazy. Got a
talk back from our iHeartRadio app. Whenever you want to
join in the fun, just hit that red microphone.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Good morning, good morning. It's Ben.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Hey.

Speaker 9 (13:13):
So, I was raised in the nineties, born in the eighties,
and I feel like you cannot be a best friend
and a parent at the same time. It just doesn't work.
It's unhealthy and it's very confusing. So that's my vote
on that. Also, thank you for the birthday shout out.
Appreciate y'all.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Peace, that's appreciate you, And thank you to everyone who
joined in for the great debate. There's some extra love
for Jennifer this morning. I hate kids and she needs
all the extra love and supports to just give her massage.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Come you, you deserve it. You deserve it, all right,
produce a grino. What did the people say this morning?

Speaker 6 (14:00):
The majority of the people said, no, it's not a
good idea to be best friends with your kids because
lines are crossed.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
But they did throw out there that like, hey, at
a certain age and if you can maintain the respect,
put some respect on my name, then maybe.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Yeah, my mama's old school. But Ruthy doesn't play.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Yeah, you, Christy, you are not friends with your mama
like that.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I mean, not like that. You guys are cool, but
you know she's cool. Don't get me wrong, she's listening.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Hi, mom, you and.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Miss Ruthy on going to the bar together. None of that.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
I don't even drink in front of my mom. In fact,
I don't drink at all. Yes, yeah, I do not
drink alcohol. Mom, No I don't. Karna's lying on me.
Back to the music at thirty.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh my god. Sorry, piously, though, we're not trying to
make fun of this kitten.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
You know, being fed to the snake. That's not cool.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
But man, you got to point out the crazy things
that happen in this world.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
That is crazy. It's crazy. Oh because the snake. You're
a day guys. I'm just joking.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
I don't I'm not a fan of this story.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
She does not want of something. Yeah, don't cry, I
know that is your daily crazy news story.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
