Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Morning Drive with Christy Live on demand
Classic Kids one of three point seven. My name is
Christy with the voice Steve Perry. People know him as
the voice. People love him as the voice. Even though
he has infronted Journey for almost two decades, people still

(00:21):
relate Journey with Steve Perry and not what's the other
guy's name. I'm just kidding. I know his name, and
now a lot of people are you know, talking about
his name because he's basically saying, you want me to quit?
Are you guys sick of me? You tired of me
being the voice of Journey? Because he had a really
bad performance a couple days ago at Rock and Rio

(00:44):
in Brazil, and he said, I know it was bad,
but you don't have to throw it in my face.
And I'm tired of everybody always hating on me. So
he actually posted a poll on his social media asking
people fans if they want him to stay up away
from the group.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I didn't realize he's been with Journey for seventeen years already.
It's like, just let it go. People, let him let
him be. No, Christy, you saw him and you said
he was great.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
He was great last time I saw him a couple
of times before that. Oh I might have had to
be part of this poll because I was like, oh wow.
But the last time I saw him, if you went
to see Journey at Oracle Park a couple weeks ago,
he crushed it. He was so good. So people have
good days, they have bad days. Like you said seventeen

(01:31):
years let our Nell Pineda just be the guy who's
fronting Journey.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
If he says if it reaches one million, where people
taught him to leave, he will leave Journey.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
That would be so sad. I think that's I think
that's a little sit done on. Don't hate on someone's dream. Seriously.
Just let the man live. He's trying to do his best.
And like I said, we all have good days, we
all have bad days, but we just have to support
each other out here.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Okay, okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Step down off this soap box so I could get
some Aerosmith ready for your Monday morning. If you've been
at work all morning, like Coca Cola Carlos, thanks for listening.
Got some more great music to help you get through
the day. Coming up on Classic Hits one O three
point seven Coding Drive with Christy Live Classic Hits one
oh three point seven. It's time for the Great Dear

(02:23):
Debate early Christmas. That sounds wonderful, but in reality is
it Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday always talk about a
hot topic and usually we get started a little bit
later on in the morning. But I met this awesome
dude named Carlos who works at Coca Cola early in

(02:44):
the morning. He's up early. He never gets to hear
the Great Debate, So we're like, you know what, let's
kick it off a little bit earlier. So what were
you saying about your sister Karina talking trash about Cindy?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, my sister Cindy asked yesterday if it's too early
for her to set up all her holiday trees.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Hell, yeah, yes, you think so?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
It is September right now? When you go to Costco,
it just is so maddening when you see all of
the Christmas stuff up. I'm like, are you serious, y'all?
We haven't done Halloween, we haven't done Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Christy, Costco's had their Christmas decor op since August.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
No, sendy, no, do not put up a Christmas tree
in September. Can we at least get through some of
the get through pumpkin spice latte season.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
She wants to put her trees up.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
That is the question this morning, can you please talk
some sense? And to producer karinas sister's head, is it
too early to start thinking about Christmas? One eight sixty six,
nine hundred and one three seven. That is the question
for this morning's great debate. Tap the red microphone if

(03:56):
you happen to be listening on our free iHeartRadio app,
and you can always jump into join produce Acrena. What
do you think?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I think it's not too early.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I told her go ahead and set up all her
trees once again.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Call if you would like to talk some sense into
the whole. Alaska is family here from you. Next its
three point seven weeks time for the Crazy Trailer Unfolding
drives with Christie Live about to ride out on the

(04:31):
Crazy Train. But first you can get eighty minutes of
just commercial free music if you're stuck in traffic seven
twenty gonna get that started because we're headed out right now,
going quite a ways. Today, the Crazy Train is heading
over to China, where the Shinwei Zoo is making headlines
After they tried it, they tried to pull a fast
one on people, but not today. Zoogoers in China claim

(04:55):
they realized that the pandas that they were looking at
weren't quite the pandas they were expecting to see. The
panda dogs were actually not pandas at all.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
These pandas are really chow Chow puppies, according to Chinese.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
State media, the zoo said it dyed the dogs black
and white because they didn't have any pandas.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
You don't have pandas put some other animals in the zoo.
Don't paint some dogs black and white and try and
pass them off as panda dogs. They said, we technically
weren't trying to doope anyone because we said they were
panda dogs.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Stop it.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
People found out they were dog dogs that were just
painted when they were panting, and one of them started barking.
Can you imagine when the trainers like apes nip it right,
you lit it up for everybody.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
They look like chow Chow's like, come on, stop it.
You tried it.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
They didn't even get like good black and white paint.
It looks like brown paints. Come on, don't sharp dog.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Their team opbandon dogs. They try all they really did.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Stop it. That's your crazy news. You gotta see the
pictures of these dogs though. We'll put it on our
socials Classic Hits one o three seven FM and ride
the crazy train every weekday at seven, ten and nine.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
And on demand too at Classic Kids one o three

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Morning Drive with Christy Live Classic Kids one oh three
point seven.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
It's time for the.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Great Dembait Christmas in September, or even earlier than that,
if it were up to produce a Karina's Sister. Every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday, we always talk about a hot topic
and we started this one early this morning, and so
if you're just joining us, thanks for listening. My name's

(06:59):
Christy for sir. Karina is here and her sister Cindy.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I love to Cindy, I do, but.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
She is a fanatic when it comes to Christmas. And
yesterday she asked, is it okay to start setting up
my trees?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
And I say, go for it.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
What are you doing? The fact that you go to
Costco now and see all of the Christmas decorations is
already like killing me. I'm like, Yo, we haven't even
gotten through Halloween, haven't forget about Thanksgiving? Tucking spice latte
season hasn't even gotten started?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Real good?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I mean, can we please just have a moment? Do
we have to rush to Christmas? Oh?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I think Christy it's okay for her to go ahead
and start decorating, So bring to help me out please.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Well, personally, I can't stand when Christmas decorations are up
before Thanksgiving. Christmas music really just sounds like now I's
not a chalkboard to me. I think it's all cheery
like after Thanksgiving. But I mean this is something from
a person. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I feel
like it's always gully is over. So yeah, I just

(08:05):
think maybe it could be too much. And I feel
like we need to have a cut off date of
when you're allowed to start decorating for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Thank you, and that cutoff date is maybe after Thanksgiving.
Whenever that is.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I don't know. So the start of December you're saying.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, that's great, let's get cheery. Then right in the meantime,
let's just chill out. One eight sixty six nine hundred
one three seven tap the red microphone if you happen
to be listening on our free iHeartRadio app, so you
can jump in and join the great debate. When is

(08:41):
a good time to start decorating for Christmas? Or is
now too early? Really is the question and the answers yes.
But you can call and jump in too. Love to
hear from you all. Classic Kids one of three point seven.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Back to the.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Great Debate, Classic Kits one oh three point seven, Say
fifty two it's September twenty third, but that doesn't mean
anything and produce a Karina Sisters world because she thinks
it's already Christmas and wants to put up her trees.
She asked this past weekend, you guys, do you think
I should do it? And she has like eight trees? No, lie,

(09:16):
she is one of those people. But do you think
it's too early to start the Christmas situation? That is
the question this morning, Susie, what's up?

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I'm thinking like this, like, yeah, some people are a
little depressed around the holidays. Maybe it gets me in
a good mood and maybe like it does something for him,
They ca them feel some type of way. But in
my opinion, I don't want to rush anything. I'm forty three,
so I'm just trying everything slow. Okay, I don't want
to rush it, like, let's do Halloween, then, let's just
Thanksgiving it November. Let's do Christmas in December. There you go,

(09:46):
one month at a time.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
I like that style. Thank you very much for the call.
I will note your vote. Good morning Classic Hits. Who's
this hey, thanks for jumping into the Great Debate. Okay,
September too early to be putting up Christmas decorations.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Okay, I'm a Filipino, so back home. When you hit September,
that's Christmas.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
No stop it.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Christmas starts in September, and after preaching set in January,
you can search YouTube or Facebook or whatever. It is.
Christmas in the Philippines happy speak. Everybody waits for the
first day of September because at midnight they stop playing
Christmas Carol.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Damn. I better get it together because I'm a niong.
My goddaughters are Filipina and black, so I better get
on this hype. Thank you so much for the call.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Actually, Blast Friday in my family is kind of like today.
You go out and start decorating.

Speaker 1 (11:27):

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Okay, So thank you. Add to everyone who called in
and jumped in for this morning's great to bait do
it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Producer Karina, what do
the votes say? Everyone said, it's way too early? Yeah, sorry, Cindy,
my sister. You're gonna have to wait to put those
trees up. Well, there's always you know, she can go

(12:09):
celebrate with Costco because they step ahead. There you go
