she was a fan and I made a new friend
and yeah, it's so exciting.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Today is the day the Valkyries pick a team.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
So if you're like, what's going on with the whole
Mansion draft thing, the way the rules work is there's
twelve WNBA teams. The Valkyries are gonna be the thirteenth team,
and they basically get to poach a player from each
of the existing w NBA teams, which is kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, which is great, but each team.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Gets to protect six of their you know players. So
people are like, oh, we're about to snatch up Kate
and Clark.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, no, that's how yeah, how it works.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
People get to protect six of their favorite players and
then the Valkyries get to pick someone else from that team.
But they can also pick for for another team and
then do like a quick little swap of trade. But
it's super exciting if you're into basketball, and even if
you're not, if you're into women's sports. Yeah, this is
a really big, big time for the Bay Area, So
shout out to the Golden State Valkyries. May sixteenth is

(02:50):
the first game against Los Angeles at Chase Center, and yeah,
it's gonna be a good time.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
And if they're listening, Christy is the size what media
managers in you. But if you do want to see
video of our scavenger hunt, because we did, we shoot
a lot of videos.

Speaker 2 (03:06):

I was running around, I was I was parking and
where I shouldn't parked.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
But Classic Hits one O three seven FM check out
our Shenanigans because it was a good time.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I had fun. We didn't find the jerseys, but I
had a good time.

Speaker 3 (03:22):

night for the Safeway Holiday Ice rink and Union Square
for drag around the rink. All the drag queens performed
and only one person fell. Oh good, yes, that was amazing.

Michael Jacksons time.

Speaker 5 (03:41):

Maybe Crag's list.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
If you're looking for something, you can also put it
on those sites, perhaps Crag's list, but maybe if you're
looking for ice or crack cocaine, don't put a one
ad on Craigslist looking for it.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
That's exactly what this dude.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Named Anthony Mada did in Florida, And of course deputies
saw his ad. They're like, he cannot be serious, so
let's go ahead and reply. The deputies posed as a seller,
of course, and they set up a meeting where he
negotiated to buy his drugs for eighty dollars.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
That's a steal. Everything Craigslist is cheat.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Right after he paid for his drugs at the meeting spot,
he was arrested and charged with possession and of course, yeah,
buying drugs, I'm not supposed.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
To do that.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
I love that they're like, let me just post and
suite who gets it.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I mean, if you're if you're looking for things, Craigslist
is the place to find it.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Time for the great bait.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Sometimes it's not the best idea to loan friends' money, okay.
And if you are sitting in a position right now
and somebody owes you some money, you know how it
feels not always great, especially if it's your friend.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
But is it okay to ask your friend for the.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Money back when you know they need the money for
their sick animal. Yes, that is the great debate that
arna have already.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Put out there in the morning.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Even though you have a pet, you would say they
need to run you your money rather than pay for
their vet bill.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Yeah, they need to give me the money. You know
how I am about my money.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Well, you say that, but look, I'm about to put
her business out here now. But a family member owes
you some money and they are shopping and doing all
the things, and you don't say anything. So you're telling
me to ask for my money back, but you don't.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
I am now.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
There's people that there's people now that owe me money,
and I'm like, I need to get paid. But yeah,
I don't see anything wrong with asking for the money
that you loan back.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Give it back to me.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Damn, Christy, what do you think is the question for
this morning's Great Debate. I want to be a good friend.
I want to understand. I also would like my money back,
but I also know that they have a sick dog.

(07:31):
So one eight sixty six nine hundred one three seven
is the phone number. You can tap the red microphone
on our free iHeartRadio app if you want to jump
in and join this morning's Great Debate. Is it okay
to ask for your money back when you know the

(07:52):
person needs the money for their sick animal?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Does that make you a horrible friend? Please jump in
showing the.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Debate to the Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three
point seven.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
You loan to have friends some money and you see
them spending the money on maybe vet bills in this
particular situation.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Is it cool to say, like, hey, what's up with
my money?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Why? You know?

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Can you give me my money back first?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Please?

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Is that being a bad friend? That is the question
for this morning's Great Debate.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Asia, You yourself are in the buying and you have
to askwear back. You were counting on it and they
knew it. That's one thing. But you know you've got
five hundred thousand sitting in your bathings and they don't
have two fifty to be quality.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Cat or whatever.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
I think it's super up, notius. If I'm not hurting
for it, and I know that they are, and I
know that they have an emergency, it's super up. Not
just to tell a differend. You know that you care
about you love them. You don't want to see them
hurting it in pain. To insist that they give it
back to you, and you know, it's like a super
super duper hardship for them, And I.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Think that's what it is. So thank you very much, Asia.
I will note that VOTE appreciate the call.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Good morning, Jerry, thanks for jumping in for this morning's
great debate. If you loan a friends some money, which
Shad did, and now they're spending the money that they
could be spending to pay me back on vet bills,
is it wrong to ask for it back? What I

(09:31):
think is that if someone asks you, if your friend
asked you for money, you should think about what you
can give them.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
And give them what you can.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Consider it a gift, and if they are able to
pay you payback, then that's great.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
But otherwise I don't think you should consider it alone.
You got to kind of think it might not come
back all right. Thank you so much. I appreciate you
calling call anytime.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
I appreciate you guys. You're so positive. It's so wonderful thing.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Oh that's sweet. Have a great weekend, you do all right?
What do you think? Is the question this morning?

Speaker 3 (10:07):
You can tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio
app if you want to jump in and join this
morning's great debate.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Hold on, wait for it, hold on or pick up
the phone and give me a call.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Always love to hear your thoughts for this morning's great debate.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Don don duh, okay, you get it?

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Helps if I turn the mic on. Just doing a
radio show here, just you know, it's a Friday talk
for a living. Here we go, Welcome to live radio.
So basically, lone a friend some money and they use
the money that they're supposed to pay me back on
like vet bills? Is that cool?

Speaker 2 (10:59):
What's should I do? Is the question this morning?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Darwin?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
First and foremost, if you want money, you should always
be able to ask about that. It's going to be
uncomfortable and it'll be uncomfortable for both of you. But
if your friends, you should be able to say something
about the money. Now, a lot of my friends and
a lot of people that I know talk about, hey,
if you're going to lend money to a friend or
family member, don't expect it back.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
That's what my mama always says, and that is what
Jerry just called and said too.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
I think for you and for her, it's really important
to just speak up and say, hey, this is my expectation.
Is this something that you can handle or you can do,
and then you can tell them how it makes you feels, like, hey, look,
I lent you this money, and good thing. I don't
feel comfortable always having any come to you and makes
me feel bad like I'm a bad person. But I
lent you the money. You need to get your communications

(11:49):
open with me about when you're gonna pay me.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Okay, I think I'm just going to record what you
just said by it back.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Yeah so much, Darvin, appreciate you jumping in this morning.
Thanks for calling for the great debate.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
What do you think I've.

Speaker 7 (12:08):
Actually had that situation happened to me a few times,
but from forty bucks to four hundred dollars. People understand
the word borrow or can I have the money aspect
of that word borrow.

Speaker 8 (12:21):
Or can I have?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
It seems like most people understand that the word borrow
means can I have?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Did you ever get your money back?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
No?

Speaker 7 (12:30):
The other people, I didn't get nothing.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
That's super weak, sauce. Well, you get our love and
appreciate it for colle this morning. Thank you for the
great debate.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Yeah, I'm surprised a lot of people said, Christy, like,
you know, if you lend the money, you kind of
just have to expect that you're not going to get
it back.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
That's so weak.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Though I lost me something, you're getting it back. Yeah,
that's true. Well, speaking of that, take it easy. I
don't know. I don't know people, not money. I've had
you a beanie yesterday. Oh he did, like, where's my
where's my beanie? I'm missing my beanie this morning. My
poor head is all cold. I'll get that back to you.

(13:12):
I get that back you. Back to the music at
thirty second.
