some customers went to Olive Garden and in their breadsticks
there was this mysterious letters and numbers like stamped on
the bread saying okay six And then it went viral
because they're like, how do these letters end up on
the bread sticks?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
And Olive Garden said, oh, it was from our packaging. Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
So she wanted to share that story with us because
people were freaking out, like what does this mean?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Employees need help? Is this a sign? What is Olive
Garden trying to tell us? It's just the breadsticks? The
bread Thank you Diana Fay sending that in.

Oh Yeah, don't drink and drive, especially don't drink and
drive if you're driving a brand new Ferrari. Oh no,
(05:13):
a man in Mill Valley was under the influence of
alcohol and drove his Ferrari right into Richardson Bay and
you can see it.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
The CHP is arresting the man.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
He's walking away in handcuffs while his luxury hoorts car.
His Ferrari is smashed and covered in mud. It's being
towed out of the bay. Wow, that's horrible. That is
a bad look. That is a bad day.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Drive with Christy Live Classic Kids one oh three point seven.
It's time for the great debate.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
No kid under sixteen can have a social media account.
That seems like a pretty harsh law, but it's one
that they just actually passed.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
In Australia.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
A social media band for kids under sixteen passed into
law on Friday and it's the first law in the world.
This doesn't mean your kid can sign up for like
a kid account. Yeah, this means if you're under sixteen,
no TikTok, no Facebook, no Snapchat, no Reddit, no x
no Instagram none.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, okay, none of it.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
So the question is do you think it's a good idea?
Should that be a law that they pass here in
the good old United States of America?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
That is this morning's great debate, Christy. I think it's
a bad idea.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I think there's a lot of good benefits that kids
could get from social media and learning is sixteen.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
That's a little you know, I don't agree with that. Yeah,
where do you stand?
Speaker 3 (07:36):
So many good things like that, you know, mental stress
and body dysmorphia and god being bullied, all those good things, eating,
eating tide pods and Nike weilled chicken yeah, so what
do you think. I think you should let parents decide
(07:56):
whether or not their kids should be able to use
social media.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Stand you know, we don't have any children.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
So it's easy for us to like step up on
this soapbox and say exactly what we want because we
don't have kids. You do have a niece, But I
think you're a parent, you should be able to say
whether or not your kid could use social media. My
godsons they didn't want social media.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
They didn't want to.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, Ashton and Bryce and they were cool. They didn't
really that's interesting. I think they might have signed up
for Instagram when they were juniors and seniors in high school,
but they were like doing sports and talking to people
in real life.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Oh I like that.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
So what do you think is the question? One eight
sixty six nine hundred one three seven. If your parent,
if you're a teacher, if you're just a concerned citizen,
do you feel like kids under sixteen should not be
able to access social media? Give us a call for
this morning's great debate. Love to hear what you have
(08:55):
to say.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Next, back to the.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Greek debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Kids under sixteen banned from social media. There's a new
law that passed in Australia. But do you think they
should do the same thing in the United States. That's
the question for this morning's great debate. Do it every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday?
Speaker 8 (09:17):
Ivana, I have been a victim of being bullied as
a teain on social media back when we had my Space.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Oh man.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
So there's pros and cons, but I mean, I don't
disagree with it. I think it's a good idea. You know,
maybe these kids will start using their imagination like we
used to back in the day.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Right, go outside and meet a person in real life
and have a conversation.
Speaker 6 (09:40):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
People who are against this say, oh, it's going to
isolate kids.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
No, but I'm.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Thinking, why don't you just go outside or talk to
your friends in real life?
Speaker 8 (09:50):
Yeah no, I think it'll be definitely something that they're
going to have to adjust to, and they're going to
be angry about it, But I don't think it's going
to harm them taking social media away.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Well, Ivana, thank you so much for taking the time
to call this morning and share your thoughts.
Speaker 8 (10:05):
Have a good day, Okay, thank you guys, have a
great day.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
You too. Paul, appreciate you jumping in for this morning's
great debate. To kids under sixteen be banned from social media.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
Yeah, that's a tough one because I have two boys,
you know, with my older one he plays video games,
not so much as social media. But I think that
you're gonna want to know exactly what's going on, you know,
with current events and things around the world. I think
it's on the parents really to say limits. I don't
think like banning and is the solution.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Okay, well I'll note that boat. Thank you so much
for jumping in. What do you think it's already a law.
It was just past Friday in Australia. And that means
no Instagram, TikTok, Facebook x Snapchat like none, not a
kid's account like no social media for kids under sixteen
as of next year. One eight sixty six nine hundred
one three seven is the phone number you can always
(11:03):
call or tap the red microphone if you happen to
be listening on our free iHeartRadio app download if you
don't have it as free music, and you can hit
that microphone and leave it. Talk back to jump in
to this morning's great debate.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
On classic kids one o three point seven.
Speaker 6 (11:22):
The ring Limbay.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Classic Kids one oh three point seven.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
A band for kids on social media under the age
of sixteen. It went into effect in Australia just passed.
But should they pass a law like that in the USA.
Speaker 6 (11:38):
Guy, Well, it does a lot.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Of helpful and beneficial things for society. I also see
a lot of adults that are hooked on social media,
people just not being kind to other people that are
subjecting our children to Now I have a child who's
on the spectrum with special needs, but in that whole
aspect encompassing it, we have to shield our children from
certain swings and arrows that are and kind of introduce
(12:01):
them to it, where social media kind of takes that
off the table. So for me, at least for my child,
I wouldn't implement that into their daily life until they
got a little older.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
And that makes perfect sense.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
You know, Australia doesn't say no kids on social media.
They just say you got to be at least sixteen.
But there's always exceptions to the rule.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Because my child is on the spectrum, his only his
socialization is different than how when I grow up, so
he spends a lot of time on the tablet or
string time. The whole interphace for school now is on chromebooks.
They don't even use books or paper anymore.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
That is crazy.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, things have changed, so then you also have to
take that into consideration. Appreciate you sharing guy. Thanks for
the call. Good morning, Suzanne.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
What do you think.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
I think it's a little late, but I think it's
a great idea.
Speaker 7 (12:45):
Too much social media for everyone for that matter.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
You know, I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
It gives me anxiety, but as an adult it might
be easier for us to cope with the drama than teenagers.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
So yeah, I think it's just completely.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Control now, all right, Susan, Well, I'll note your vote.
Thank you so much for the call. Good morning, Rob.
Speaker 6 (13:06):
I would definitely go with Stanning because the unfortunate thing
is that social media has been teaching our kids to
be anti social. I remember one time being on the bus.
I was sitting on the back road. These two girls
got on and they walked in the back once that
on one side, the other town on the other side,
and they're both just catching the other vote and then
every once in a while they would look up at
(13:26):
each other and giggle. So they were having a conversation,
but they were having a conversation via text message even
though they were sitting right there with each other.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
I think we have all seen that go down.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Okay, my parents me in two different rooms and we're
texting each other.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
I said, why don't you just come out the room.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Thank you so much, Rob and everyone who jumped in
for this morning's great debate.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Christy.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
The majority of people said, yeah, there should be an
age limit like Australia has it. Under sixteen or above
sixteen is when they should be allowed to use social media.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Okay, teenagers, don't hate on us, don't care, donate on us.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Thank you so much for being a part of the
great debate. To it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Back
to the music in thirty seconds Clashay Kids.

Speaker 7 (14:47):

Speaker 2 (14:48):
You're a baker a hobby okay.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
I was like, oh my gosh, oh man, I love cookies.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
I had cookies for breakfast. I usually do.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Up to the mic, who or what would you like
to shout out? Angela?
Speaker 3 (15:03):

next to me before I drop her off at school.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Oh that's what's up?
Speaker 3 (15:09):

baker too. So you guys, thanks for calling to play
