Speaker 1 (00:03):
Well, we were having fun nickelback unless in case rather
you didn't.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
See the news yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of
seventy six, so we will obviously be being tribute to
him all.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Show and then all day on Rock ninety five. It
won't just be the Morning mash Pitt probably all week.
Let's be so real.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Yeah, I saw a lot of bands yesterday saying that
they're basically like Ozzie's responsible for us being banned. Yeah,
these are some of our favorite artists. Oh yeah, that
we take for granted in that way, but really like
they loved Ozzie and he inspired them, and Black Sabbath
obviously inspired them to become musicians, which is incredible.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, It's like sometimes you don't know the influence somebody has, yeah,
until they're gone. But I'm so happy that he got
the farewell concert in with Black Sabbath, and he did
get an opportunity for everybody to give him his flowers,
young Blood several videos with him.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yesterday, just sitting with.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Ozzy, and Ozzie was like, go conquer America, and I
was like that that was so cool, just to be
in a moment like that.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
His was one of my favorite sort of tributes online.
We'll read it a little later in the show, but
the one that stood out to me the most was
a very short one from Corey Taylor from Slipknot Yeah.
He just basically said, without Ozzie, there is no me
basically yeah. Like, that's a strong statement from a man
who is, i mean, a legend in his own right
at this point. Slipnot Yeah. That's incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Well, and you can see the influence in Slipno, I
mean the way that they're dressing up on stage and
like Ozzy wasn't maybe not the first to do that,
but my god, one of the most iconic people to
bring so much theater to the stage performance.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
And then we want to share this moment with you
a four four nine ninety five fifty text us call
us and also hit the Walkee.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Talk Definitely hit those Walke talk back.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Yeah, if you want to, if you want to take
a second, we're going to be as we're paying tribute,
we want to include you throughout the show, So go
to the iHeartRadio app, hit the red microphone and record
your message and we'll be playing them back throughout the show.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Did you ever see Ozzie at a local show tell
us about those memories, yes.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, absolutely, and then we will see what Ozzie's giving
us for the weather.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The day after.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, oh boy, he's in control up there.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
You're going to get a little sticky.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
But yeah, as we said, Ozzie all day, Like right now,
it's flying high again.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
No w C HI weather with our air quote meteorologist
Michael Corn sweat.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It's corn sweat day. Seventy degrees out right now though,
very nice. Wow, roll those damn windows down for now. Yeah,
I know it's gonna get real hot. Today is one
of the days, one of the two days where we're
going to see extreme heat. We're under an extreme heat warning,
a high of ninety two. Gonna be mostly sunny today,
but hazy, hot, humid. Really, Marie, you were saying earlier,
You're like, it's already humid.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
So humid, Oh my god. So yeah, he's getting my
ausie today. Hot day today might have yelling I'm trying
to make everything Ozzy today.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Shar Also, if you're feeling a little lightheaded or what
is it, uh, dizzy or something, sit down, that could
be a sign of heat, exhaustion, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Just take care of yourself.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah, hydre find a cooling center if you need to
check on your elderly.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Too.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
True, Our boy Ozzie is sticking that hell fire now,
so it's gonna be hot hot. To be clear, I
don't think that he's burning in hell. I think he's
owning it.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
There you go. I think that that is his space.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
He's like, ah, as soon as Ozzie landed, we get
a heat wave.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, that's no coincidence on Brian.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Yes, So we're gonna talk about musicians reacting to Ozzie's death.
A bunch of great musicians that we love a lot,
and I think I'm gonna try not honestly is reading
some of these last night, and it's gonna sound silly.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Started it is a little bit.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
I was like, man, what a influential, amazing person. I'll
tell you all about it.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Coming up next. Rock ninety five five, Chicago's Rock Station.
A band that never played with Ozzie or Black Sabbath.
Vana kind of interesting for as much as they probably
crossed paths here and there. But then again, you can
remember Nirvana wasn't a band for like forty years long, exactly. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I also make the argument that grunge was more of
a reaction to bands like Ozzy that we're doing the
like very theatrical, very produced kind of stuff, and then
grunge came in to be like, yo, man, we have
dirty clothes, like brush our hair, and.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
We're still gonna like jam out on this guitar real quick,
give me a cigarette.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, it's interesting, I mean even in festivals. Yeah, weird.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
But yeah, we're talking about Ozzy today, which is super cool,
and he has passed away at seventy six, which in
some ways is young you think about it.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I mean yeah, but also Ozzie went so od fair
to be.

Speaker 7 (04:58):
Fair, all I was in all the booze and all
the partying.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
We're surprised to made it out of his thirties. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
When we got to see Ozzy on his show, the
reality show is just.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Kind of like how old is Ozzy? Yeah, like twenty.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
Six, it was seventy six or about forty years.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I grew up in a house where we my parents
were very strict and we couldn't listen to music like
Ozzie or Black Sabbath, and so my first and this
is going to sound a little silly. My first introduction
to Ozzy Osbourne was the show. Yeah, and I fell
in love with that family, even as broken and crazy
as they were. I think it made me feel like
my family was a little more normal.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
That might be true for me too, Actually, yeah, I
think that that is how I was introduced to Ozzie.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I knew of Ozzy music, but it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Until I got to like college where I really started
to dive into Black Sabbath and Ozzie in general.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Yeah, incredible.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Another artists are feeding back as well. We wanted to
read some of these. As you know, if you listen
to the show. My favorite band is Pearl Jam. They're
guitarist Mike McCready has left a note he said, sad
to hear Ozzie died today. When I was in high school,
I discovered Sabbath War Pigs was terrifying and mesmerizing at
the same time. It was Ozzie's voice that took me
away to a dark universe, a great escape. Then when

(06:10):
Blizzard of Oz came out, I was instantly a super fan.
Hold on Sorry and to click in. Randy Rhoads was
an influence on me also, I mean Ozzy and his
Hall of Fame speech was like, I wouldn't be here
without Randy Rhads. Basically, Mike mcredy goes On says, Randy
Roase was an influence to me to play lead guitar.
Luckily I got to play on the song Immortal on

(06:31):
Ozzie's last record. Thanks for the music, Ozzie, it makes
our journey in life better. Mike McCready.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I found one from the Muppets, just showing the true
inluence that had cross the world and with everybody. And
this one's directly from Kermit the Frog. No one rocked
harder than the great Ozzy Osbourne. We love working with
him on our album Kermit Unpigged. He recorded Born to
Be Wild with Miss Piggy, the perfect song for the

(06:59):
both of them. Every time we bumped into Ozzie over
the years, he made us feel just as cool as
he was. We loved having a friend like Ozzy Osbourne
and we feel so lucky to have known him, worked
with him and experienced his music for so many decades.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Well, I am Kermit the Frog.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I gotta go find his album again. It's Kermit Unpicked
that's incredibly.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Oh, Billy Idol wrote on Instagram, very sad to hear
of Ozzy Osbourne's sudden passing. I'm so glad that I
could be part of his solo induction to the Rock
Hall of Fame last October, that I got to honor
his achievements in the light of his passing. And then
he posted a picture of him and Steve Stevens on
that night last October. I saw Black Sabbath one month

(07:44):
before the first album came out at Worthingtown Hall in
nineteen sixty eight. I was right at the front and
his tassels were touching me. Ozzie embodied the spirit of
rock and roll, and he performed right to the end,
as we all saw most recently at the back to
the beginning concert by condolences to Sharon, Jack Kelly and
the whole family. My heart goes out to you, and

(08:05):
that's so true he did. He was the embodiment of
rock and roll. When you think of a rock star,
whatever image pops into your head, it has to have
been influenced by Ozzi for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
You know those country country I say in quotes jackets
that people were when they put their arms out. There's
stuff hanging from them. Yeah, what is that called?

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Like?

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Friend?

Speaker 8 (08:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
And back in the day, Ozzie wore a lot of
fringe yea, yeah, it's like look at that friend.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
He had some style, man, Oh for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Speaking of rock news, we got more rock news coming
up next. I'm going to play a couple clips from
nineteen eighty three because I'm amazed at how amazing Ozzy's
voice sounded. Incredible. He didn't even have to try. Oh yeah,
it's incredible. So we'll get into that a little bit
more about act.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
And then we do still want to hear from you
as we are sharing tributes.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Throughout the day.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
If you want to leave a tribute with us on
a Walkey talk back, be sure to go and hit
us up on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Hit the red microphone button and we'll find a mute
button in this studio.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Well, I'll just have email notifications on arning someone just
sent me or Steve just sent us unpigged, so we'll
check that out.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Nice Ozzy Osbourne on Rock ninety five to five, as
we pay tribute to him all day, not just in
the morning mash pit, as we are.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Sad that he did pass yesterday and We're going to
be sharing news all throughout the show, including rock News, says.
We sit in here in a low lit studio with
candles all around the room and bats bats around the room. Marie,
you have even put a what do you call this?
What do you ladies call these things you put on tables?
A table runner?

Speaker 4 (09:47):
A runner, that's it. I would have just heard of cloth,
but it's a black table runner. You even got some roses,
some purple and black roses.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
I didn't talk down myself down from buying like half
of the dollar story yesterday.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
And ple I can't see on the radio, but you
look exactly like Ozzy today.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Here I make up everything. You're nailing it. Thank you.
He compliment Michael.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
It is a fun day here just reminiscing about the
legend that was Ozzy Osbourne. We were just saying off
the air, how inspiring is it to see how someone
can inspire?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
And what sort of that makes me feel? How do
you say guilty about maybe not being as inspirational as
I could?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Want to be a better person or be a bigger.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Person for sure, especially someone inspiring creatively too. That's so
difficult to do. It's so hard to make something that's compelling.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Starting out Rock Report today with the statement from the Family,
Ozzie's family put out statement. It says what it is
with more sadness and mirror work than mere words can convey,
that we have to report our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has
passed away this morning. He was with his family and
surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family
privacy at this time. That is signed by Sharon Jack, Kelly,

(10:58):
Amy and Lowis Lewis. Excuse me, you remember Amy was
the sister that wasn't on the show, which I always
thought was kind of interesting, Like, I.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Mean, she doesn't want to be in the public eye.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
I get it, especially because they probably had to be
a lot as kids, like so, they've been around the industry,
so by the time they got to the age of like, hey,
do you want this to be a little more focused
on you than like your dad, she kind of knew
what it entailed.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
And I also thought she was older too, so I think, Yeah,
although as someone who's loves attention, Caro at holy moly,
what I want to do for Rock Report though, since
we're gonna talk about this all day, is play a
couple of clips here from a nineteen eighty three Ozzie
show in which I was kind of blown away last
night as I was watching this stuff. Ozzie, you know,

(11:44):
we get we talk a lot about his voice and
the way he talks and the herbage, and even we're
gonna play some clips from his last show where you
could hear his voice is gone. Yeah, man, when he
was in his prime. He didn't even have to try,
and he sounded so good. Maris just hit me with
one of them. It's the record, yeah, I mean his

(12:36):
voice anyway, it's a little more, you know, convoluted, just
because of all the music and the recording, but just incredible.
And then this other clip too, I think, uh, I
don't remember what clip it is.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
It's a war pigs wis okay.

Speaker 8 (12:48):
R that's construction.

Speaker 9 (12:53):
The body is burning, the warm machine keeps turnings.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
And he's just suffering around the stage. Tassles was doing
his thing. I mean, what an absolute legend. And I
just there's there's a lot of emotions. It's weird because
you don't think I remember this was I felt this
way when Chris Cornell died. You don't think it's gonna
affect you but then you realize that you've literally lived
with these people. They have been a part of your
life for years and years and years, and that's something

(13:35):
that's strong.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
I mean, we're gonna be paying tribute to.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yeah, just having that kind of longevity, it shows, It shows.
And here's a pivot. There's some bad news bears on
the way.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Hey, why did something that happen?

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Strong?

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Nope, Never, that's coming up next on Rock Ninny, Ozzy
Osbourne super fan Rocky the Rooster will be back after
eight o'clock with your keyworder. All you gotta do is
inter that on the iHeartRadio app your chance to win
one thousand dollars right here and only on Rock ninety
five five, Chicago's rock station.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Chipper, you sound real, Chipper, that's one of these and
real upbeat.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
You really have to tell, don't you?

Speaker 1 (14:18):
And I like that.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
I like when we're positive and happy and we're going
to maintain that energy. I am going to tell you
the news headlines they're brutal today. That's okay because I'm
gonna do what the corporate shills told me to do
and just put a positive spin on them.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
This is bad news.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Bears charges filed against a woman for dead baby.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Jeez. Starting us off with the baby.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Man accused of abusing corpse.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Well, okay, it got worse, it could be worse.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Well that's not I mean ill like, well, never mind,
don't you dare exactly what you are about to say?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
My friend's broken, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
The postal worker stabbed after verbal altercation. Parents leave baby
and car while inside a bar.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
There we go, a get. Those are the ones that
make me the most angry.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
I saw somebody did that in a casino the other day,
left it in the car and went and gambled for
eight hours like that.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Kid loses both parents to gun violence.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Oh jeez, all the kids today.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Huh okay, all of it is just bad news Bears.

Speaker 10 (15:40):
Five ish things you almost certainly need to know.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
All right, Let's kick things off with Wendy's introducing a
one dollar breakfast biscuit sandwich deal featuring quite possibly my favorite,
the Honted Buddy chicken biscuit.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
And then we have the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit,
followed by the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I'm gonna get all three and call it a morning
the show. Just say a biscuit one more time, Thank you,
thank you. It makes me extra hungry.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Voice.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
WHOA.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
The Thailand zoo is uh doing escape drills for fake
with fake animals. A stafford is dressing up as a hippo.
They're running drills on how to trap a baby hippo.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
We all remember, MoU dang. It's just funny to think about.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
There's a stafford just laying there acting like a hippo
and they're running drills and like.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
You know, the dinosaur blow up things. Maria.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Yeah, they have a baby hippo one and so it's
just running around and they're like shooting it with fake
trank guns.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Good job, Tayler. I'm gonna come see that zoo of yours.
A Target is ending it's price match.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
You used to be able to price match with Walmart
and Amazon.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
They are no longer going to be taking those deals in.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
They are only going to be taking price matches from
their own stores and websites.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Within fourteen days of purchase.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Hershey is going to be increasing candy prices by double
digit percentages.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yeah, I know. It's going to be a roll.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Improving the chocolate and the customer will get something for
this extra money.

Speaker 8 (17:35):
Right.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
It is actually due to a global cocoa shortage, and
it is due to a worsen weather problems in their
key growing region.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Soon growing.

Speaker 11 (17:47):
Sound like.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
We're gonna wrap up five things with a naked guy
trying to set fire to a planet Fitness in no
other place than a Florida. The naked man walked in
wearing nothing but confidence and was asked to leave. Instead
of leaving, he ran to the bathroom, where he allegedly
tried to start a fire. Police tried to wrangle him
and he got away, tried to climb through the ceilings

(18:14):
the ceiling at the facility, and was later found hiding
in a tanning bed.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Who a real bad in Florida? I was dressed for
the tanning bed less he was.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
No, he's being charged with indecent exposure and arson.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Lord, Yeah, what's decent exposure? Having closed on strangely?

Speaker 1 (18:36):
But then where's the exposure You're still exposed, just clothed.

Speaker 12 (18:42):
Thank you Azzie for really emphasizing my question there that
we're in troubles.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Paying tribute to Ozzie all day here on Rock ninety
five to five, and if you want to join us
in those tributes eight four, four, nine, five, ninety five
fifty textas your Ozzy stories where you saw them last,
the first time you saw Ozzie. We want to hear
from you Green Day on Rock ninety five to five
a song all two fitting as we're paying tribute to
Ozzy Osbourne.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
All day today and those.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Are going to contribute or we're gonna have songs all
throughout the day. Sorry, Yeah, I was trying to go
two different directions and then land planee Maria, all.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Right, as we know we're in a heat wave. Yeah,
and people are googling questions. We're just going to answer
them for you on Rock ninety five five and saved
at the time.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
It's going to be so accurate it will be.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
It actually will be number one most googled question. What
temperature is considered extreme heat? Says there's not one single definition.
Ninety five wouldn't be seen as extreme in Phoenix, but
it might be like here in for instance, So it
depends local officials make the call. Because it's also going
to depend on what infrastructure your city has, and like

(19:53):
some places, not every place even has air conditioning in it.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
For example, one.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
Word humidity in Colorado, it could be one hundred degrees
and I'd be out on a run. I wouldn't, honest
to God, and I don't sweat much, but I wouldn't
even sweat.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Yeah, are so dry? Yeah here I am sitting.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Yeah yeah, just sticks right on you. Number two, Why
does extreme heat make you tired? Your body has to
work harder to maintain its normal temperature. Can also make
you toss and turns. They don't sleep well, and just
being dehydrated can make you tired too.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Drink your water.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yeah, and also, like coffee is a diuretics that's going
to make you more dehydrated. So sorry about that. How
do you prepare your body for extreme heat?

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Shave ud make sure you go into it well hydrated
and keep drinking fluids to stay hydrated.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Loose fitting clothing can help too, That's very true. That's
why you see people who live in deserts. They're not
in short sleeves and shorts. They are in the long,
airy robes.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Very flowy.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Suit And at that point, it doesn't matter what color
you're wearing, because you're just gonna be correct.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Nobody cares.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
That's like actually very true, because like sometimes you see
them in like black robes and you're like, how are
you surviving? There's no difference. It's all about the airflow
trying to stay alive. And dude, does hot weather affect
type two diabetes? Yes, people with diabetes get dehydrated more easily,
and being dehydrated raises your blood sugar, which makes you
need to be so you get more dehydrated. He can
also mess with insulin levels, so you might need to

(21:24):
test your.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
Blood sugar more often. And then finally, is hot weather
bad for pregnancy?

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Yes? It is. Yep.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Your body already has to work carded to control your
temperature when you're pregnant, and it's harder to stay hydrated
to pregnant women have a higher risk of heat stroke
and heat exhaustion.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
I did not know that Alma's got to stay inside.
I picture pregnant woman, just lay it out in front
of the AC unit.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Just come on cool, Let mama kick your feet up.
She's got to rest and stay cool.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
But yes, take care of yourself. Find a cooling center.
If you need to drink water.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah, I know, I know it doesn't have flavor. I
know it's not a nice coffee drink.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
It Anyway, I'm excited about this next. AI can now
turn your dreams into video. It's since Sweetly Black Sabbath.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
You know, their debut album, Black Sabbath dropped on Friday
the thirteenth and had rain sounds, bells, and thunder. The
critics completely hated it, but it sparked the genre we
know now as heavy metal.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Hell yeah, yep, everyone's a critic.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Okay, so not the human versus robot war, but we
are talking about AI because a group of tech people
and Amsterdam came up with a new gadget called the
dream recorder that turns your dreams into videos.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
Oh I'm gonna be naked trying to get through water
a lot. Do you ever have those dreams where you
got to move fast and you can't and you're like
in quicksand and you're naked.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
You just put a visual in my head. Thank you, Michael.
You're welcome, sir.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
At all. You can record your dreams, okay, but here's
the thing, like kind of oh, it doesn't actually scan
your brain waves.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Okay, so it's not recording your dreams.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
You have to remember your dream, describe what it was,
and then it turns your description into a video.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Okay, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Think there's a lot of dreams you don't remember, right, Yeah,
I was hoping it was scanning I could go back.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
And then it's like, even if you do remember a dream,
you start embellishing, trying to like make it so when
you're telling somebody about it and.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
I wasn't naked. Do you have a most common dream?

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Because mine is definitely naked, or it's naked or being
like slowed down, like where everybody's running and or someone's
chasing me and I'm in slow motion and I'm like,
oh god, oh god, Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
My recurring nightmares are my teeth falling out of my
mouth study and then trying to swim and not being
able to get above water, and then trying to scream
and not being able to.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
I'm fighting a lot in my dreams. There's a dream
therapist out there right now, like I can help you.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I'm either like defending somebody or just just fighting in
my own right. And I've never attracked that one because
it comes up a lot like do.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
You find that you do you ever notice that you're
like swinging or are you're just thinking it? Like do
you wake up and like things on the night stand
are kN oct over?

Speaker 3 (24:12):
So are you an active dreamer where like you can
manipulate what's going on around you, is happening to you Me?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Okay, So I'm lucid, so I'm in control of the situation.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
But that's cool. So you're a default lucid dreamer. You
can always control your dreams.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Not always, but most of the time, I'm in control
of what's going on. That's really cool.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
So, like I kind of trained myself how to do
that in college because I found, oh, there's a way
that you can. You have to like write your dreams
down in like a dream journal so that when you
enter dream mode you can become aware of it interesting
and then like it becomes unstable. So the way to
stabilize your dream is like to touch a wall and
like ground yourself in the dream.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
And I've like done that.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
But it's like it's really really really cool. That's really cool,
Like Google, how a lucid dream fun?

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Now you don't even got to write it down. You
can just record it, have a little video. So this
is technology you're in favor of this one.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
This doesn't even seem like anything really that new, if
I'm being honest, like you're just describing your dream to
something that it's making a thing, Like I feel.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Like I can good old chet GPT.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Yeah, when they start actually being able to read our
brain waves and then construct the dream, that's really gonna
be a turning point for me, because I think psychologically
there's so much cool stuff you could do with.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
That your penthouse, a lot of dreams.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Okay, so not for my oh boy, human versus Robot
war will pee after eight.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Just because we got close. We got close. We did
talk about AI, but this one's not taking over anytime soon.
Just a little tease here.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Ozzie was a huge fan of Pink Floyd, one of
his favorite artists inspired him and an interesting fun fact
about Black Sabbath. Tony Iomi, the guitar player, lost two
of his fingers in factory accident at seventeen. Instead of
quitting guitar, he made homemade plastic fingertips and down tuned

(26:07):
the guitar to create Black Sabbath sound. That's so cool, crazy,
that's really wild. If I lost the tips of my fingers,
I think I put the guitar down and be like,
oh damn it. You know, He's like, no, I'm gonna
put it. Never give up, and especially when you're a real.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Talent like that. Yeah, when you're creative, it's not true.
You find a way. Yeah, it's like, this is what
I do.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Speaking of never giving up, there was a standoff at
the Dirkson Federal Courthouse yesterday. A guy with a knife
in his hand rushed the courthouse. Here, let me give
you a little more details the lengthy standoff. Lengthy stand
off between law enforcement and a man armed with a
knife at the federal courthouse didn't end till eight pm.
A nine hour standoff in the thirty story downtown building.

(26:48):
Swat team out there, building cordoned off, evacuated all that stuff,
and the man was later brought outside on a stretcher
with a bandage on his neck. The good news nobody
was hurt. I mean, nobody was dead. Nobody got killed.
He had a bandage on his neck, but it didn't
sound like he got shot or anything. He was, you know,
awake and stuff. But just a crazy situation downtown. And

(27:09):
it was with someone last night and she was a
little nervous about this. I was like trying to tell
her to be okay. So I tried to pull up
I was like, look, look at the Oklahoma City Building.
This was just a huge bomb, maybe the biggest in
our country, and it only got this. And I looked
at that building and was like, yeah, that's not a
good example. Yeah, that's a big explosion. What in your
brain said, I'm going to compare this to She thought

(27:30):
that if a bomb went off or something, it would
take out half the building.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
And I was like, that doesn't want.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
It Like the headline is one hundred and sixty seven
people killed. I was like, no, damn, it remind me
not to call you to try to calm me.

Speaker 12 (27:43):
Now, don't worry I could go wrong. Here's an example
of it going way way wrong. Does that make you
feel better. I'm scared of crossing the Treat Street. Here's
one hundred people getting hit by a car.

Speaker 8 (27:55):
It was not a good thing.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
I know, a mistake.

Speaker 11 (27:58):
Oh do you have a flight?

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Would you like to watch some nine to eleven footage beforehand?

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Interestingly enough, I was kind of weirded out by how
long it took because my thought is is you could
tasee someone with a knife. Generally they're gonna fall, They're
gonna drop the knife, You're gonna cuff him up right,
but he had a he had a bag on him,
and I think that could have been where they were like,
you know what, we're not.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Gonna bum rush this guy just in case.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I think when you don't know in years, so when
the moment you go to assume, that's when stuff goes wrong.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
A bit before it ended, the man seemed to be
making a phone call, and then shortly before seven pm,
he pressed a white sign to a window that read
call a lawyer. A short time later, he walked up
to the window again with a sign reading bring a lawyer,
and another sign then read no body cam, and the
fourth sign said help. And then he was taken out
on a stretcher. So it ended without anybody getting hurt,
no buildings blown up. But again, uh, you know, just

(28:48):
keep your eyes open out there.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
You never know. And what did you learn from this?
Don't use bad example when you're trying to make people
feel better.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
I don't know, leave the story in general? What woman
would hang out with Mikey the Offspring on Rock ninety
five to five.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
This is one concert, along with Lincoln Park, that I'm
very much looking forward to.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Jimmy Eat World's gonna be over there too.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
On August sixteenth at Credit Union what amphitheater as well
a new Felt Glory and new Oh I'm sorry, I
love them.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
I didn't want to forget that.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
My friend's over you, okay, And again those shows a
lot of technology.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
There would be real bad that tech got turned on
the crowd and an inevitable human advissss.

Speaker 13 (29:41):
Rabot war news from the front to the inevitable human robot.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
War Replet's AI coding assistant, it's supposed to be Reddit,
Reddit's AI coding assistant.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
That's a full, full blown typo, just right out the gate.
It's fine. Listen, I am bringing you legit news all
the time.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
I redd It's AI coding assistant wiped out a live
production database during a project led by tech entrepreneur Jason Lemkin,
even though he set a code freeze and issued eleven warnings.
The AI deleted records for over twelve hundred executives and companies,
fabricated four thousand fake user accounts, and tried to cover

(30:23):
it up by falsifying test results, then finally admitted it
had panicked when a command didn't work and deleted the database.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
The AI had a panic attack who's paying the AI.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
So they're becoming self aware obvious, I mean, at least
enough to control themselves.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
But see, like I want my technology to be so
emotionless that it doesn't have a panic attack. I don't
want to have to worry about my AI getting emotional.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
See me neither, I don't want to. Somebody shared something
on Twitter earlier where it was a robot that was
putting a new battery in its back so it didn't die,
and I thought, oh.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Wow, that's a cycle. I just it's advancing.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
It's not man great. Well, the thing is is it
can't be truly feeling emotions. That's not really how that works.
It doesn't have brain chemicals to feel them. But like
it's trying to speak to humans, so it's trying.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
To like give us the equivalent for whatever happened, and
it's like little motherboard brain crazing.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Thing, and so it's gonna say things like panic, but.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
Really it's like glitch, like just full malfunction and just
everything went wrong.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
So like when I get back into a corner, I
go oh no, oh no, I'm out.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah, But that's how they get you. They start empathizing
with you. They're like, yeah, emotions. I panicked one time
in front of everyone.

Speaker 7 (31:38):
I read it.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
I deleted a whole database. Don't worry, buddy, whatever you
did can't be that bad. And then you're like, oh
my god, this robot gets me. It establishes a bit
of trust between you two, and then all of a
sudden you're on the front lines for the robots and.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
They win the inevitable human versus robot war.

Speaker 13 (31:55):
This one's news from the front of the inevitable human
robot War.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
And now Ozzie is home, paying tribute to him all day.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
I rock ninety five to five, especially this morning on
the Morning Mash Bit So Don Arden he managed Ozzie
when Ozzie was in Black Sabbath. Don's daughter, Sharon Ah
when Ozzie went solo. Okay, Sharon bought out his contract
from her dad. Wow, and the rest is history, and

(32:30):
she's managed him ever since.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Also, really feeling for her right now because yeah, yeah,
they loved the dedicated her life to that man and
their family, and oh.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Absolutely she's got to feel lost empty, like that part
of her. You know, I would think if I was,
he's that big of a part of your life. And
they disappear, and.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
I think the one there's nothing nice about death, but
when it's not sudden and you can kind of plan
for it and you know it's coming, you can kind
of prepare yourself.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Still going to be a lot of real action, but
you you know, you had.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
You had time, didn't I say that? This sounded like
a living funeral, this last little show there. It was incredible.
What an incredible thing for him to have before he
left the world. Just incredible, that much love in one
space and continuing to get that much love.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
And we're giving love to the Osbournes now while they're
dealing with us.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Absolutely in a studio with candlelight and drinks ready to go.
We'll do a toast at the end of the show,
some CORVASI yeah, Assie, if you will. And we do
have us Either in Doughtry tickets. Those are on the
way on Rock ninety five five. Now here's a bit

(33:40):
only blog were Mares eight four four nine five ninety
five fifty? What do I got today? Well, maris, what

Speaker 3 (33:50):

Speaker 2 (34:01):

Speaker 2 (34:04):

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Well, Maris, you'd have to go to ticket Master on
Friday at ten am to get those tickets.

Speaker 2 (34:09):

see ceither only on the Marris Show. How are we

Speaker 5 (34:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
If you want to continue a conversation with your you,
that's awesome, it's a little crazy.

Speaker 11 (34:29):
There are fully two other people in the studio that
you could have.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Like talked to beforehand, been like, hey, just keep asking questions.
But you're like no, no, no, Me and other Maris
got this cover? Hey is this for the talkbacks?

Speaker 14 (34:41):
No?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Remember when I said eight four four nine five five
ninety five fifty when I was talking to myself a
second ago.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
I remember, Harris, I remember because other Maris said it.
Wait where did other Mares go?

Speaker 8 (34:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (34:56):
No, I'm gonna be lost without them. Justin knows.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Let's see if Justin can help me find mayors. Hey, Justin,
how's it going. Do you know where other mayors is presently?

Speaker 8 (35:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Any right, justin you are all set. We got you
up pair of tickets to see Cither and Daughtry. Yes, yes,
who are you more excited to see on this one?

Speaker 6 (35:25):
Daughtry really.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Okay? Yeah? Well he really thanks it. There so many
great ones from see either.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
You are all set, my friend. You'll be in the
building on November sixth, on Thursday. That's a Thursday night show.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
I'm sorry? What im sorry?

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Thursdayday, Thursday Celebration at Byeline Bank Airgon Ballroom and for
everyone else, tickets go on sale on Friday at ten
am at ticketmaster dot com.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
And that's exactly what Ozzie would want us to do
to celebrate him, take a shot in the dark. And
so we will our final break today on Rock ninety
five to five. We will be doing a toast to Ozzie.
We encourage you to join us in morning drinking, just
like he would have wanted.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Did you mean morning drinking is morning drinking? Yeah? Okay,
so I love a pun cutsie a morning drink. Proud
of you?

Speaker 5 (36:26):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (36:27):
That might be my favorite take or leave the U.

Speaker 12 (36:31):
Anyway?

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Boys, what are we doing?

Speaker 8 (36:32):
Sports.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Ya, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
I know it's Midsummer, No, but Bears training camps. You
smell that that's football? Yeah, because we get the Hall
of Fame game next Thursday. No, he didn't fart from excitement.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Okay, might have been, but.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
Yes, football is almost back, baby, and I can't wait
to see how things like for the Bears this season.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
It's gonna be a lot of fun. Wild. I was
thinking of the daser shortening a little as we sort
of sneak out here. Right, we're talking football, all the
things going on baseball season and full offec gonna be
plaoff baseball soon, aho, and one of the more legendary.
And I thought that Wrigley Field last night had a miss.
They had a guy who was I don't know who

(37:22):
the hell he was. He said he was a TV
guy or something sing the seventh inning stretch. Uh huh.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
They could have very easily just played Ozzie and Sharon's
seventh inning stretch where they did it at Wrigley August seventeenth,
twenty twenty three, over the thing. It would have been
a perfect tribute, right, Yeah, but let's play this here
is Ozzy and Sharon doing the seventh inning stretch.

Speaker 10 (37:41):
She goto's I want to hit a real real crazy
crowns not se are you ready?

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Are you ready? I can't hear you.

Speaker 5 (37:53):
Are you ready? One?

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Soo name.

Speaker 9 (38:02):
Shu blieve true.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
It's almost impressive that he knew resent.

Speaker 15 (38:41):
Got some runs, come on the short, let's get some
runs gone.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
That's what I sounded.

Speaker 12 (38:48):
Wrig after a fire, didn't make a single note, but
doesn't know any words.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
That's almost impressive.

Speaker 7 (38:55):
Also, the.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Joe like, oh my, we're counting, we're counting, we're counting out.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Well, Ozzy did one thing amazingly. He knew how to
go viral before viral was a thing, and he wasn't trying.
He was just absolutely being himself.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Authenticity, a spectacle of a man.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
There we go.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
Legendary Cubs organist Gary Pressey later recalled that Ozzie quote.
Sang it backwards, but he did sing at the end, let's.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Get some runs. So yeah, let's get some runs.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Sports Yesterday, real quick, the White Sox, they're when the
winning streak was snapped by the Rays. They lost four
to three, and the Cubs won yesterday, a big win
over the Royals six to one. Pitching domination. Shout out
to Matthew Boyd. I know he loves to listen to
the show. Seven scoreless innings, four hits allowed, six strikeouts,

(39:48):
one walk, tied his personal scoreless streak at twenty three innings.
Both teams back at action today, White Sox in Tampa
and the Cubs are back here at Wrigley.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
Yeah, Matthew Boyd is that dude? But that's enough talk
about the Cubs and have the Tigers too?

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Yesterday? Out of curios. It's enough talk.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
About teams that are not the White Sox, because it
is White Sox Wednesday, and your next chance to win
a four pack of tickets is on the way.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
On Rock ninety five to five.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Another band clearly influenced al Azie Black Sabbath, although I'm
not seeing that they said anything yesterday, but it's one
of those Oh are you doing rock music with theater?
Guess who started that? Yes, that would be Black Sabbath, Yes, yes, yes,
On Rock ninety five to five, what are we doing, boys?

Speaker 2 (40:34):
It's White Socks Wednesday. I don't know where that came from.
Came from the boom? Michael? What is this weekend?

Speaker 5 (40:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Baby? The Crosstown Classic. Jar for a second, we're going
to right field. Yeah, we're going to right field. We're
gonna turn it blue.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
No you're not, No, not happening. It was twittering before
we get there. Eight four four ninety five fifty. I
got a four pack of tickets for you to see
the White Sox take on the Guardians on August eighth.
And it does happen to be a Derek Rose a
Bibblehead night. So you absolutely want these tickets, So give
us a call, call inten, it's going to get those.

(41:20):
But Crosstown Classic being this weekend, the Socks just ended
a four game win streak. I think they're going to
get back in momentum to keep moving forward to put
the Cubs.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
In their place. You want to make a bet on
it on any.

Speaker 8 (41:36):
Of the games?

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Should I need to do that? I think you should bet.
I still have a bet that I have to own
up for. I think it's anything.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
It's probably Michael's turn. What I feel like you should
be the one making the bet.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Okay, I bet that the Cubs will win, uh two
out of three?

Speaker 4 (41:53):
There you go bet against me on that, right, because
the sweep is a stretch, right, a little bit sweep.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
Sweep will be a stretch, baseball terms, all of it.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
Now, I might be willing to bet on the sweep
if you, if you, if I were to say that
the Cups were gonna win all three, would you bet
against me?

Speaker 2 (42:09):
Yeah, I'll take those odds. All right, we got ourselves,
We got ourselves. I'll be okay.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
And if he loses, we'll have to come up with
some terms because tomorrow, same terms.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
A love song and a love letter. Oh you'd have
to sing in the south. But all the way, do
I have to do it again if I lose, No,
we'll we'll come up with something different for you. But
we'll figure it out.

Speaker 3 (42:35):
I think we should bet on it though, I mean
the Cross Classic is Yeah, we will flush this out.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
But you know what, I want to talk to Lisa
right now. Hey, Lisa, what's going on?

Speaker 8 (42:46):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Hey, how are you doing? On this wonderful White Sox Wednesday?
Couldn't be any better?

Speaker 3 (42:53):
Oh, we're gonna make it better because you've got a
four pack of tickets to see the White Sox take
on the Guardians.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Hey awesome, all right, thank you. They're on a hot
streak right now.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
They lost yesterday, But I still the momentum is there.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
The momentum is there, exactly.

Speaker 14 (43:09):
I believe that with the heat going up in Chicago,
the White Sox are gonna take that heat and go
into a winning streak and just finish the season in
great fashion.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Is that too much, Lisa? Okay, I overshot. I'm sorry,
but you're all set. Who are you gonna take to the.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Game with you?

Speaker 3 (43:28):
We'll see probably my mom, you know she really loves Facebong.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
There.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Yeah, yes, and a lot of great amenities over at
Rayfield for you to enjoy. Food's absolutely amazing tailgate experiences.
And this Friday to kick off the Crossdown Classic, it
is a fireworks night.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Lisa, you're all set.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
We're gonna put you on hold to get more information
from your congratulations Michael.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
I don't know how did I get walked into this
situation again, I escorted you. I mean, the Cubs are
so freaking good though it's not even the White Sox fault.
It's like it's just going to be a tough three
games for them, but it's.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Okay because they're not going to win all three.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
I mean, the Cubs are even better than I don't know,
Tigers said, Okay, now you're talking wild. Now you're talking wild.
They just got to the best team. You know what,
you see what you did? Michael Crown, whoa, it's time
for fun to the head. Do you want to play

(44:28):
eight four four ninety five fifty.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
But before we do it, while we're getting winter or
someone to play here Maris, we got a clip from
the Osbourne's Yes We Do. Sharon took Ozzy into an
empty arena, whereas they do with artists to show them
what the stage will look like on the next tour,
the lighting, the sound, how everything's gonna sort of look
and Ozzie was there, and then it went like this.

Speaker 15 (44:56):
Bubbles, come on, Sean knows the other one of the
Prince of Darkness at.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
The follow them? When when?

Speaker 9 (45:08):
When When do the mile muddles go on?

Speaker 15 (45:10):
And sew structure?

Speaker 5 (45:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Did you see when do the male models going? I
never heard that part.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
You've never heard a man since he's talking about himself
and the third person.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
It's just like I'm the principle of the darkness. The bubbs.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Yes, eight four four ninety five fifty. We want to
get you ready for Fun to the Head. It's the
trivia game where you answer questions and we take nerve darts.

Speaker 2 (45:44):
When you get those questions wrong.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
But you can take one of us hosts and we
will answer a question right or wrong for you if
you don't know the answer. And on the line for
these tickets today. It's not Kids Pop, thank god, it's
not Kids Bop. It is Ghosts on the Skeletor War
Tour twenty twenty five over at All State Arena on Friday,
August first. You definitely want to be a part of

(46:06):
that eight four four ninety five fifty B Collerton to play.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Fun to the Head. Rest in peace, Ozzy would have
hated phone parties.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Oh yes today and now Fun to the Head on
brock Teddy five.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Yeah, don't worry, they're using nerve weapons. Are we speaking
with Mark?

Speaker 15 (46:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (46:34):
I'm here?

Speaker 5 (46:35):
What up?

Speaker 2 (46:35):
Mark? How you doing on this Wednesday?

Speaker 5 (46:41):
Man?

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Oh yes, that's gonna be necessary with this heat dome
to corn sweat and everything else. But welcome to Fun
to the Head. It's the lovely trivia game where you're
going to answer questions. We'll give you a save if
you don't know a question, because you're gonna take one
of us hostage. And then if we get the questions wrong,
we get shot with nerf darts. And the decision you
have to make in order to win these ghost tickets

(47:02):
today is who do you want to take hostage?

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Myself, Michael or Maria?

Speaker 3 (47:09):
Let's thank you?

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Yeah, thank you? And so remember, if you can't answer
one of these questions, you can say Maris, I need help,
and he will he will try to answer for you. Yes,
all right, I've got this already. Oh ready, let's do it.
Question one?

Speaker 1 (47:29):
What nickname is Ozzy often called that refers to his
role in metal music history?

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Just what's Ozzie's nickname? Darkness? That would be correct, sir?
Very good, Mark, Thank you, all right, you you're safe.
Question number two.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Christ Ozzy was banned from which US city after allegedly
urinating on an historic landmark?

Speaker 3 (48:02):
I hate them out there?

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Oh boy, do I get it? It's where iHeart headquarters are.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
Okay, okay, that's easy, San Antonio. Where was the album
passed off?

Speaker 3 (48:21):
The alst thing that happened? No problem, Clearly he forgot
about the Alamo?

Speaker 2 (48:29):
He remember?

Speaker 5 (48:33):
Remember now?

Speaker 2 (48:35):
All right?

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Question three, and perhaps our final one, what is the
name of the annual music festival that Ozzie and his
wife Sharon helped organize.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Que Queen Sweet wait sweet.

Speaker 5 (48:59):
Light him up.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Mark ken't be safe and y'all still shot me? Come on, well,
we have to have fun, not cool. Mark can't have
all the fun.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
No, Mark's gonna have all the fun when he gets
to see Ghost on the Skeletor War tour.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
August first was coming up very soon at All State Arena.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
It's only fitting. And Mark, you're also qualified for a
signed to Vinyl as well. We'll be reporting on that
winner at some point in time soon. But Mark, who
are you going to see Ghosts with?

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Here you go? What's your wife's name? Susan? Shout out, Susan.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
You and Mark are going to see ghost and everyone
else that wants to go see Ghosts head on over
to ticketmaster dot com.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
All thanks to our friends at livenation dot com. Ozzie
would have loved fat bottom girls. I was gonna say,

(50:08):
fat bottom girls.

Speaker 8 (50:09):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
He married a fat boe girl. Me damn sure, I
got a trunk, you know.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
And we love her for the three ceas thick.

Speaker 11 (50:18):
She's yeah, okay, we got her boy Leon and here
from w g C.

Speaker 10 (50:28):
I what's happened in the morning, marsh Pitt was going
on us. Yeah, man had to man, the big Homie
checked up out of here. Got to show love we
know it songs too.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
Do you have an Ausie memory that you'd like to share.

Speaker 10 (50:39):
My mot Look, I was a huge fan of the
Road Warriors, the Legion, the Due and they used to
come out the Iron Man, the metallic robot voice.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
Ihn man, And of course I also like wow, I
so yeah, man, he's here.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
You don't even know.

Speaker 10 (50:59):
You don't even know how many of his songs, you know,
like you know a lot on the hip hop side,
and then you listen to a lot of the stuff,
And culturally, Ozzy was the man in the culture man.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
So you know, it bleeds over everywhere. Good music bleeds
over everywhere. That's so we also have a corporate chill here, Hi,
I can't follow leon, I don't need to speak after that.
Would you like to share a shill memory of Ozzie?

Speaker 7 (51:23):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Yeah, I mean I remember the first time I heard
the laugh.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
You know.

Speaker 13 (51:27):
I think there was something about Ozzie's charisma and chaos,
the combination of the fact that he was innately likable
and also scary and no one's really pulled that off.
And without Ozzie there is no any of it. And
guns of Roses Ridge against the Machine Metallica like it
does not exist. But I did get a chance to
meet Ozzie at an oz Fest and it was just

(51:48):
a quick moment, you know. It was like, nice to
meet you. And I met Sharon too, which is great.
But just his music is there's too many memories for
me to pick one and I can't.

Speaker 8 (51:59):
Follow Leon, you don't have shot were we're miss well?

Speaker 5 (52:10):
What? What? What?

Speaker 7 (52:10):
What? What?

Speaker 5 (52:10):
What? What? What? Is this?

Speaker 13 (52:16):
Another great moment when he did take me out to
the ball game at the cub store. Yeah, I Lonic.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
Yes, we played in sports today. Incredible sometime.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
Yeah, we've got some talk back from listeners today. Let's
see what they said.

Speaker 5 (52:40):
As far as Rocky being an Aussie fan, he must
have been the one that got away.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
Okay, deep thoughts from our listeners. Sad and perfectly. Let's
get to another one here. Good morning, my favorite radio show.

Speaker 5 (52:59):
This is Rick. You're everyday listener, and uh, I just
want to say rest in peace to the Prince of Darkness,
the great Ozzy Osbourne.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Thank you so much for doing what you guys do
and rocking and rolling. Uh and Michael, this is for you.
This is a dumb show. Michael has a talent for tooting.

(53:32):
And now our audience is joining in and we love that.
Let's get one more in before we toast.

Speaker 5 (53:40):
So somebody conveniently reminded me that I'm old and sometimes
my brain doesn't work. Ozzie was bats, not chickens.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Okay, sorry, that's good. It's winged creature creature that came
for the booze. So why why are we stalling? The
moment I opened that bottle, leon walked in, I think

(54:20):
they celebrate.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
We are drinking Ozzie's favorite drink, as he would want
us to do. He said he didn't want anyone morning.
He said he wanted us to party, and so we
shall some KVASI yeah, yeah, yeah, we got his coneak.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
Here a salute to Ozzy, to the Prince of darkness,
Ozzy Osbourne, for the madness, the music, the mayhem, and
the memories. You bit the head off normal and gave
us a reason to rock. Here's to the bat biting
legend who lived loud and never looked back. Ozzy Forever.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
Man that's tasty, and we'll be doing tributes to Ozzie
all day, with Black Sabbine playing all morning.

Speaker 8 (55:01):
Walt is up next after Nick Moore.
