that's for sure. I went tothe h I guess that X in laws,
my kids, grandmother's house. Okay, yeah, so you know,
well it was it was good.Did the the adult version of an Easter
egg hunt? What's that? I'mnot saying. No. We have fun

so, you know, you know, with cards against Humanity? Yeah no,
no, no drinking games. Yeah, you know, we should have
done that, but we were allpretty hammered anyway, you know, bottles
of wine and stuff that happens.But with when the kids were younger,
um, their grandparents always did thisamazing Easter egg hunt, right, but

it was a treasure map with clues. They didn't just go out into the
yard and find the colored eggs.No, no, no, it was
just clues and you had to followthe clue to get to the next clue.
And they always had enough Easter eggsfor all the grandkids because we had
a pretty extended you know family orwhatever. Sounds like fun and it was

fun. So you get little prizesand things like that, and whoever found
the one usually it was like twentybucks in there, so it was like,
oh they got egg, has themoney in it, right, But
now twenty bucks, you know,doesn't even buy it like two gallons of
gas or anything. But we wejust we had fun. That's good.
Yeah, it was good. Thatthat is awesome. I mean I didn't

watch We just hung out, man, not to dinner with all friends on
Saturday night. And you know howto come steaks with those places that non
stop steaks, they keep coming outmore steak, more steaks till you tell
them stop. Well, where isthis place? That's the endless is it
quoted? Bottomless steaks, mass mastergrillage cold in massive peakuar Okay, And

they just keep coming out with thesteaks and steaks and steaks and steaks,
and oh my god, you canget a a salad bar. The salad
bar is like a dinner. Theyhave everything you can possibly think about it
the salad bar. And then whenyou get the salad ball, what the
steak sample of? It's cold?Oh the steaks sample of there's an it's
an actual menu. I'm trying tofigure out why they're coming out with steaks.

So they come out with this bigthing with steak and it's my single
off pizas ran by and then likethis is on the broil, and then
like five minutes later come this isthe rim by and five minutes later,
well this is you know, justsome else and it's like wow, all
right, So after that appetizer foryou, what steak did you actually order

up on the sampler. The sampler. Let me tell you some They don't

see a Simpsons episode with Homer Simpson. I'm getting you getting kicked out of
this all you can eat steak buffet. Unbelievable, unbelievable, But you know
what, it's so worth it though, because you're getting a full meal.
I mean, if you want togo to the salad ball, I man,

I went to the salad ball becauseI would have more roof of steak.
At least they have salad, soit's not a saladball. I'm talking.
They have everything else, all thevegetables, everything. Okay, So
then all right, so we're celebratingmy birthday a day early, thank you.

so we're all okay, yeah,we're all getting together and priests celebrating
a week early because our ritual isgoing up state. Wow from mine,
I think gonna be up we'll beup there for the for the Moscycle Mayhem
Festival. That's right at the BlackthornBlack Dawn, So we'll be up there.
That's gonna be a great motorcycle eventthat's happening up there. Yeah.
I'll be there on the twenty secondtoday because we're driving up on the twenty

first up there, twentieth because twentyfirst to the twenty third, I gotta
go from work, maybe two andgo up there, and we're gonna have
a good time. And it's abouttime that Motorcycle Mayhem Radio will be at
the Motorcycle Mayhem Festival. Yeah,I know it's about time. It only
took seven years, right, Itell you so. But no, if

anybody out there, I never heardof Black Thorn. It's up in East
Dorm, New York. And it'sa campground, beautiful campground, lots of

biker stuff going on up down.Yeah, and the weather is warming up.

Yes, what about this past week? Oh my goodness, seventy degrees,
seven degrees, eighty degrees. Ididn't clean out my central AC unit
yet. I'm gonna call the guyand say, hey, you know,
hey, it's hid. I know, but you know what's gonna happen now,
it's just gonna it's gonna it's gonnadrop again. Yeah, so I
can't with all this up and downthing. Mother Natures. It's only April.

She's like in menopause or something.But you know, you know what
I do. I see up inthe bedroom, all bedroom, his eyes,
cold blanket on. Anything outside waslike nothing like you know, having
you know, a good carbon footprint. Johnny, Like, what the heck?
You got the acts blanket on?Oh yeah, it's the best.
I want to get that new blanket. That's a weighted sauna blanket. Have

so, Mama, I'm really excitedabout this Motorcycle Mayhem Festival because it's gonna
be from April twenty first to thetwenty third. And what they're gonna have
is polar bear run through the scenicCatskill Mountains. So they're gonna do a

they doing? I'm trying to figureabout, but not really to be ready
though. Well, I guess it'sanother way of calling it an icebreaker.
But usually the weather's co but younever know that's right, because when you
go up north, it's cold,temperature drops, it's you know, you
still have to have a fireplace ora wood burning stove for those chilly evenings.

So they gonna have some kill entertainmentup there each night featuring Mike and
the Monsters and the cross Bones band. They have a drive through bike show
in the bar and the bar thebike will coming to the ball. Nice,
that's awesome. I love that.That's that's that's like the signature,

of people. We all took thebikes in one day, went in there,
and people they just keep putting intheir seats, flooding, sliding,

all of our veterans on Long Islandand to raise funds for veterans organizations on

Every day, I will run afull marathon twenty six point two miles

on Long Island. Wait, wait, wait, hold on, So you've
run twenty six point two miles.You said yes? Every day, Yes,
during the week for seven days.Ye. Me and Chris is sweating
over here from walking from the outsidethat door into the studio. I broke
a sweat. So you're gonna tellme that you run, run, not
walk? Yes, twenty six milesa day. Yeah, so each route

is approximately twenty six summer round sumroutes, so longer. We have had
had a few stops in this year, so we have one in two days
out of twenty eight to thirty onemiles. So we had to you know,
we we tried to reach as manylocations on Long Island that we call
up point to honor, and atthose point of honor we put down flowers
to remember those who have served ourcountry and who have given up, you

know, who have lost their livesfor our freedoms. That is awesome.
So where you're starting this year,she got You're starting in the day one,
Sunday, April twenty third. Youknow on him in the Goldstaff families.
And we know some people that dothe same thing. Tony Price is
a friend of the show. Heactually does every Memorial Day with us.
He comes to he rides to NewYork from Minnesota. He's actually going somewhere

to visit one of the gold Startfamilies, and he stops at our studio
every Memorial Day. That's a that'sa cool thing. So I see that
you're honor in the Ghost families.So you're starting in Huntington Comport right,
Yeah, so yep. So we'llbe studying in Huntington on Sunday, April
twenty third. The opening ceremony isat ten am. Um. I do

want to thank Long Island Debate,PGR Riders, PGR, PGR and Rolling
Thunder because they will be leading usout when we start for the day for
the first mile, So again Iwant to thank them so much for coming
out and supporting our event once again. Now just a police escorted run during
parts of it. We do havesome police escorts because there are some roads

that we do need to have thetraffic traffic block. So do you have
a certain um uh, well you'retaking for the day one? Yeah,
So in day one we do startin Huntington and then we work our way
into UM into Northport. Again,there's twenty six point two miles. We
will be making over a dozen stops. We will be stopping at UM memorials

and local resting places of some ofour full and heroes, our gold Star
families in the local area in Northport. We will be stopping at homes of
gold Star families. We will bestopping in Northport at the Engeman Theater to
remember John Engeman who served for forour country. We will also be started

stopping at the Northport Firehouse and thenwe will also be going to the VA
Hospital as well to put down flowersat that location as wow. So how
many people do you usually have withyou? Our team consists of about seven
people. He set up each dayso runners can come in and run the
last five k or the distance thatwe have this year, our distances from

five k to eleven miles UM forAH nominal donation of thirty dollars. Runners
can join in at the point wherewe had designated UH and they will receive
a commemorable coin as well as aT shirt. Wow, that's fantastic.
I actually heard that there was avirtual that you could getting john involved with

Johnny But yeah, I said,I did. I did the run.
Yeah, how'd you do it?Virtual? Because there's no way I'm one
of twenty six miles a day.I could barely walk a mile a day.

that particular point. That is awesome. How did you get involved with something
like this? So I was stillto run some local veterans runt on Long
Island and as I was doing that, it was meaning a lot of the
gold Star families and as um anUltra runner I just felt it's important.

You know, I was given thisgift to run long distance and to use
it for for something good, tohelp others. Right, So this is
what we decided, you know,to help some of our goal star families.
Would you go with twenty six miles? Uh? For ultra running?
That's a that's kind of a formatthat I was done seven seven maritimes and
seven days. You know, I'vedone that format before for other organizations,

and I decided that it works reallywell because it takes it's a whole week
of awareness for our veterans, andI you know, each day you hear
about it more and more, andyou know, I think that really helps
the cost. So what do youdo to train for this? You have
something you eat? Right Like,I couldn't do this right now. You
(33:52):
couldn't do it ever unless we didlike we went to a white Castle.
Then we went to a Burger Kingmaybe, but otherwise, I do you
how do you train for something likethis? My training is, um,
you know, I get up tolike one hundred, one hundred and ten
miles a week, right, Um. I did a lot of long runs,
back back to back, long runstwenty miles back to back. Uh.

And you know food wise, um, you know a lot of carbs,
protein, you know whatever whatever.I can pretty much eat whatever I
want. I kind of stick moreto a plant based diet. Um and
it really works for me. Andit's really just the training that that um
it gets to get the miles in. Awesome. So now they've shot on
(34:35):
day two is on Monday from Farmingdaleto east Meadow. Is that what that
is? Farmdale's Meadow? Ah?Yeah, So on day two Monday,
we started Long Island National Cemetery.Okay, so what we will do there
this year is we will put downroses at thirty two grave sites of post
nine to eleven heroes okay. Um. And then from there we leave there

and we run well through Merrick andfarming Day I'm sorry, through um well
through uh Levittown, East Meadow,Levittown and we we will eventually get over
to Eisenhower Park. Um. Wewill pick up runners there and they will
take them on a run and thenwe will end at the uh the Veterans
(35:20):
Park at Eisenhower Park and we putdown about forty different flowers because they have
about forty different monuments. Wow,that's a good goal. So welcome Kate

she's in shape. I'm I mean, can you imagine me. They'd be
like, you're at twenty six feetand that's it. I'm done. That

didn't happening. Actually, more thanher doing it, more than you doing
the run itself, is why you'redoing it, right. That is so
huge, and that's that's you know, some of us are in not as
good shape. But I also heardyou say that people can do it at
their own pace or different levels.Correct. Yeah. So when we have

the runners come and join us atthe the end of the day, the
last five k or so, werun as a group, so we make
I make sure I keep everybody together, so I'll gauge what the pace should
be based on who's with us.And it's not a race, it's just
a journey. So the running isbasically the journey that you know, gets
us from location to location to helpus with our mission. That's all.

the walk is over? We stayedin a hotel. They how do you

we do it all on Long Island. So we usually we have a van
in the front and then the runnersaroun in the middle, and then like
three or four cards behind us becausewe're always you know, looking out for
safety. But when we end theday, we usually you know, all
go home and then we grouped thenext morning at the next location. So

what what's your achieve? When youget home? You soak your feet,
I mean, um, you knowthe usual shower. I have these compression
boots that I put on for acouple of hours that really help with recovery.
Right, I do that? Sohave you? Was there ever a
time we didn't? You couldn't doit? Like I can't do this.
I feel like given up? Andwhat keeps you motivated? Thinking about the

heroes that we lost, that thosethat we honor among island, all the
families that come out with us,that are there with each each day.
Um, you know, their sonsthat they've lost. You know, I
think about them. I think aboutthem helping pushing me. You know,
it is hard think about them helpingpushing me through. And um, you
know we've had some interesting weather days. We've had days where they were northeasters,

We've and snow, we've had sleep, we've had hell. So you
know, just thinking about why we'redoing it, and you know everything that
those who serve our country, whatthey have to endure, you know,
and we just have you know,we just get through the day. Wow.
Yeah, you know what, theweather is a fact that I didn't
think about the weather. Especially,that's because you don't think about running.

I have a question though, andI don't know if you answered this
or not when I was running inhere, But how did you get involved
in this? What made you startdoing this? Yeah? Exactly, Yeah,

I wanted to put something together tohonor and remember them and keep doing it.

to have it on a motorcycle manbecause she does a lot with the vets,

East Rockaway and Copeg. So youwalking from East Rockaway to Cope. Yeah,
we run from East Rockaway to Kopegand along the way on that day
we stop at over um fifteen VFWAmerican Legion posts and we place flowers at

wow at those locations. How longdoes this usually take you to do this?
Whole? Um each day is probablylike six seven hours because of the
stops that we make throughout the wholeweek. We make over three hundreds We
make over hundred stops. We putout over three hundred single roses. We
put our maybe two dozen wreaths andcones. So there's a lot of flowers

that we put out of all theselocations that we go to. Okay,
so we have carts following you obviously, yeah, fans, right, so
you need to have that. Yougot play of water and stuff like that,
I'm sure. I mean you takethese breaks without stopping somewhere like just
yeah, we do take breaks,and we take what we do, take
some walk breaks and then we willpull the caravan over and you know,
take breaks to um to rehydrate andand do you know need stuff. Okay,

a little bit about what it isyou do so they know out there what's
going on. So what we dowith our organization, it's UM Team,
Every Veteran Appreciated. Is the lastweek in April, April twenty third to

twenty ninth, we will run sevenmarathons in seven days to bring awareness to
all of our veterans on Long Islandand to raise funds for veterans organizations on
Long Island. And this will beour seventh year. Chefs here. Yes,
now do you actually you run?Yes? So every day you're running?
Every day, I will run afull marathon twenty six point two miles

on Long Island. Wait, wait, wait, hold on, So you've
run twenty six point two miles.You said yes? Every day, Yes,
during the week for seven days.Ye. Me and Chris is sweating
over here from walking from the outsidethat door into the studio. I broke
a sweat. So you're gonna tellme that you run, run, not
walk? Yes, twenty six milesa day. Yeah, so each route

is approximately twenty six summer round sumroutes, so longer. We have had
had a few stops in this year, so we have one in two days
out of twenty eight to thirty onemiles. So we had to you know,
we we tried to reach as manylocations on Long Island that we call
up point to honor, and atthose point of honor we put down flowers
to remember those who have served ourcountry and who have given up, you

know, who have lost their livesfor our freedoms. That is awesome.
So where you're starting this year,she got You're starting in the day one,
Sunday, April twenty third. Youknow on him in the Goldstaff families.
And we know some people that dothe same thing. Tony Price is
a friend of the show. Heactually does every Memorial Day with us.
He comes to he rides to NewYork from Minnesota. He's actually going somewhere

to visit one of the gold Startfamilies, and he stops at our studio
every Memorial Day. That's a that'sa cool thing. So I see that
you're honor in the Ghost families.So you're starting in Huntington Comport right,
Yeah, so yep. So we'llbe studying in Huntington on Sunday, April
twenty third. The opening ceremony isat ten am. Um. I do

want to thank Long Island Debate,PGR Riders, PGR, PGR and Rolling
Thunder because they will be leading usout when we start for the day for
the first mile, So again Iwant to thank them so much for coming
out and supporting our event once again. Now just a police escorted run during
parts of it. We do havesome police escorts because there are some roads

that we do need to have thetraffic traffic block. So do you have
a certain um uh, well you'retaking for the day one? Yeah,
So in day one we do startin Huntington and then we work our way
into UM into Northport. Again,there's twenty six point two miles. We
will be making over a dozen stops. We will be stopping at UM memorials

and local resting places of some ofour full and heroes, our gold Star
families in the local area in Northport. We will be stopping at homes of
gold Star families. We will bestopping in Northport at the Engeman Theater to
remember John Engeman who served for forour country. We will also be started
(31:40):
stopping at the Northport Firehouse and thenwe will also be going to the VA
Hospital as well to put down flowersat that location as wow. So how
many people do you usually have withyou? Our team consists of about seven
people. He set up each dayso runners can come in and run the
last five k or the distance thatwe have this year, our distances from
(32:02):
five k to eleven miles UM forAH nominal donation of thirty dollars. Runners
can join in at the point wherewe had designated UH and they will receive
a commemorable coin as well as aT shirt. Wow, that's fantastic.
I actually heard that there was avirtual that you could getting john involved with

Johnny But yeah, I said,I did. I did the run.
Yeah, how'd you do it?Virtual? Because there's no way I'm one
of twenty six miles a day.I could barely walk a mile a day.

that particular point. That is awesome. How did you get involved with something
like this? So I was stillto run some local veterans runt on Long
Island and as I was doing that, it was meaning a lot of the
gold Star families and as um anUltra runner I just felt it's important.

You know, I was given thisgift to run long distance and to use
it for for something good, tohelp others. Right, So this is
what we decided, you know,to help some of our goal star families.
Would you go with twenty six miles? Uh? For ultra running?
That's a that's kind of a formatthat I was done seven seven maritimes and
seven days. You know, I'vedone that format before for other organizations,

and I decided that it works reallywell because it takes it's a whole week
of awareness for our veterans, andI you know, each day you hear
about it more and more, andyou know, I think that really helps
the cost. So what do youdo to train for this? You have
something you eat? Right Like,I couldn't do this right now. You
(33:52):
couldn't do it ever unless we didlike we went to a white Castle.
Then we went to a Burger Kingmaybe, but otherwise, I do you
how do you train for something likethis? My training is, um,
you know, I get up tolike one hundred, one hundred and ten
miles a week, right, Um. I did a lot of long runs,
back back to back, long runstwenty miles back to back. Uh.

And you know food wise, um, you know a lot of carbs,
protein, you know whatever whatever.I can pretty much eat whatever I
want. I kind of stick moreto a plant based diet. Um and
it really works for me. Andit's really just the training that that um
it gets to get the miles in. Awesome. So now they've shot on
(34:35):
day two is on Monday from Farmingdaleto east Meadow. Is that what that
is? Farmdale's Meadow? Ah?Yeah, So on day two Monday,
we started Long Island National Cemetery.Okay, so what we will do there
this year is we will put downroses at thirty two grave sites of post
nine to eleven heroes okay. Um. And then from there we leave there
(34:58):
and we run well through Merrick andfarming Day I'm sorry, through um well
through uh Levittown, East Meadow,Levittown and we we will eventually get over
to Eisenhower Park. Um. Wewill pick up runners there and they will
take them on a run and thenwe will end at the uh the Veterans
(35:20):
Park at Eisenhower Park and we putdown about forty different flowers because they have
about forty different monuments. Wow,that's a good goal. So welcome Kate

at the airport, listening to youtell about how you run twenty six miles

a day during your run. AndI'm listening to this one and then I
get out of my car and I'mtrying to run through the airport and I'm
like, no, but but ohmy goodness, wow. Right, but
she's in shape. I'm I mean, can you imagine me. They'd be
like, you're at twenty six feetand that's it. I'm done. That

didn't happening. Actually, more thanher doing it, more than you doing
the run itself, is why you'redoing it, right. That is so
huge, and that's that's you know, some of us are in not as
good shape. But I also heardyou say that people can do it at
their own pace or different levels.Correct. Yeah. So when we have

the runners come and join us atthe the end of the day, the
last five k or so, werun as a group, so we make
I make sure I keep everybody together, so I'll gauge what the pace should
be based on who's with us.And it's not a race, it's just
a journey. So the running isbasically the journey that you know, gets
us from location to location to helpus with our mission. That's all.

So I keep everybody together. That'sawesome. That's awesome. So but you
know, it's it's a fantastic thingthat you're doing. Yeah, and you
know, and you're helping yourself aswell, because he still can't get over
and you know, it's it's afantastic and it's for our veterans too.

day? Yeah? Really? IfI had to get absolutely I could do
maybe six miles a day. I'mmy kidding two miles a day? No,
well, I've done nine in aday. I've done nine. You
yes, I have foot on foot, my feet, my feet, Zoe.
So so even how do you getfrom one point to the other after

the walk is over? We stayedin a hotel. They how do you
matters? What happens? Then?Um, the team usually goes home because
we do it all on Long Island. So we usually we have a van
in the front and then the runnersaroun in the middle, and then like
three or four cards behind us becausewe're always you know, looking out for
safety. But when we end theday, we usually you know, all
go home and then we grouped thenext morning at the next location. So

what what's your achieve? When youget home? You soak your feet,
I mean, um, you knowthe usual shower. I have these compression
boots that I put on for acouple of hours that really help with recovery.
Right, I do that? Sohave you? Was there ever a
time we didn't? You couldn't doit? Like I can't do this.
I feel like given up? Andwhat keeps you motivated? Thinking about the
(40:35):
heroes that we lost, that thosethat we honor among island, all the
families that come out with us,that are there with each each day.
Um, you know, their sonsthat they've lost. You know, I
think about them. I think aboutthem helping pushing me. You know,
it is hard think about them helpingpushing me through. And um, you
know we've had some interesting weather days. We've had days where they were northeasters,

We've and snow, we've had sleep, we've had hell. So you
know, just thinking about why we'redoing it, and you know everything that
those who serve our country, whatthey have to endure, you know,
and we just have you know,we just get through the day. Wow.
Yeah, you know what, theweather is a fact that I didn't
think about the weather. Especially,that's because you don't think about running.

I have a question though, andI don't know if you answered this
or not when I was running inhere, But how did you get involved
in this? What made you startdoing this? Yeah? Exactly, Yeah,
I started to sorry about that.The gold Star families. You know,
I just decided, you know,it was time something needed to be

I wanted to put something together tohonor and remember them and keep doing it.
You know. So now you takedonations, right, how does somebody
want to do How did they doit? If you we are taking donations

know, we have to work withum all the towns and the local law
enforcement and you know we sometimes wedo need police ask courts, uh,
and you know we need permission togo into the national cemeteries. But it
is something you know, we havethought about, you know, putting together

and maybe may bringing it elsewhere.That's that's awesome. You know, I
know they're having a home on theshow. You know, it makes sense
to have it on a motorcycle manbecause she does a lot with the vets,
and so does motorcycle Mayan and alongon the bait and the motorcycles are
huge involved with this. Like Isaid, Tony Price, you remember Tony
Price. Don't know if you metTony He is with the ghost of family.

He I don't. I don't thinkI met him. I've heard him
speak to you. He rides outto our studio every Memorial Day. Well,

go to um Brookhaven West Saville,Medford and then Wednesday you'll be out of
East Rockaway and Copeg. So youwalking from East Rockaway to Cope. Yeah,
we run from East Rockaway to Kopegand along the way on that day
we stop at over um fifteen VFWAmerican Legion posts and we place flowers at

wow at those locations. How longdoes this usually take you to do this?
Whole? Um each day is probablylike six seven hours because of the
stops that we make throughout the wholeweek. We make over three hundreds We
make over hundred stops. We putout over three hundred single roses. We
put our maybe two dozen wreaths andcones. So there's a lot of flowers

that we put out of all theselocations that we go to. Okay,
so we have carts following you obviously, yeah, fans, right, so
you need to have that. Yougot play of water and stuff like that,
I'm sure. I mean you takethese breaks without stopping somewhere like just
yeah, we do take breaks,and we take what we do, take
some walk breaks and then we willpull the caravan over and you know,
take breaks to um to rehydrate andand do you know need stuff. Okay,

awesome, So you got um SagHarbor or What'shampton Beach. That's an
awesome walk run walk seam. I'mtalking. Uh, you got Bayville to
glenn Hove that we have. You'repretty much covering a huge part of Long
Island here, natural and Suffolk.Yeah, we try to do as much
