"Brat Summer" Is Over—Make Way for "Dilly-Dally Spring"

Last year, Brat Summer took over social media, fueled by Charli XCX’s bass-heavy party album Brat. The trend embodied wild, reckless nights, smudged makeup from the night before, and spontaneous tattoos.

But 2025 is ushering in a different vibe—TikTokers are now embracing Dilly-Dally Spring. Instead of partying until dawn, the new aesthetic is all about doing… absolutely nothing. Slower days, lazy afternoons, and taking life at a leisurely pace are the new seasonal goals. Will you be dilly-dallying this spring?

OpenAI Limits Image Generation as GPUs "Melt" Under Demand

The hype around ChatGPT’s AI image generation has been so intense that OpenAI is struggling to keep up. CEO Sam Altman announced on X that the company has temporarily limited image requests, saying, “It’s super fun seeing people love images in ChatGPT, but our GPUs are melting.” No word yet on how long the limit will last, but OpenAI is working to boost efficiency to handle the overwhelming demand.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Give us three minutes and we'll give you everything you
need to know for the day.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Pardon me, what's trending?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
So brat Summer is so last year. Now we're making
our way into Dilly Daly Spring. I love when we
just go ahead and make a whole season of vibe. Yeah,
vibe right now is nothing and it is trending everywhere.
Dilly Dally Spring is all about just going outside, wandering
around doing nothing but documenting it and make sure you

(00:27):
post it with the hashtag Dilly Daly.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I just do that all year long.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Yeah, make sure you make sure you spend nine hours
editing your Dilly Dally video.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Make sure you.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Stress out about it. Yeah, I gotta get my Dilly
Delli video to get on this trend. Everything's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Roumed all of the dilly dallying.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Oh it's so funny, But you know what, I'm here
for the Dilly Dalli too. This is interesting. So we
love our music and it's fun to watch your favorite
artists diversify their fans. A lot of them are going
into country. Meanwhile, BTS is carving out a lane of
their own. So if you remember BTS being like the
biggest k pop band in the world. They're currently on hiatus,

(01:09):
but they've got a new album dropping next week. They're
not going country, They're going lullaby.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
What lullabye music? Lullaby?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
So they've got an album that's dropping called rock Like
as in rock a Bye Baby. It's an album of
lullabys and it's all of their hits. Here's a little taste, okay,
so this is the original origin. That's the original that
you know, okay, and here's the lullaby version.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Sounds like the beginning too. I can hear it a cartoon,
that's what I think.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
It also sounds like great dilly dally music, you know
behind your reel, and you're just like.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Are they singing on it too? Or is it just
the just just the instrumental for babies? I do that's smart,
My gosh, so much money the job.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah, they didn't have to do anything.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
They just said, hey, can you take all the notes
we already put together in this order and make them
sound like boys exactly? And that was good.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
You know what's the crazy thing about this is is
these babies that are listening to this, Yeah, then they
get older and then they hear the real songs and
then BTS's album from years and years and years ago
is all of a sudden, the whole generation to be
obsessed with them, because that's nostalgia in a whole nother life.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
That's smart.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
It reminds me of Baby Shark because they literally the
joke was when Baby Shark came out that they would
be playing this in clubs in ten years or whatever.
And they are currently playing Baby Shark in the club
and people lose their mind because they were children when
they heard it.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
So smart he baby Shark in the club. I am leaving.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah here Baby Sharks, like you just lose your mind.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
He be behind it.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, I'm down. That sounds done.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I Meanwhile, the parents of the Baby Shark are gonna
be like, I loved it.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I loved it.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Lastly, open AI says their GPUs don't really know what
that is, but you probably do.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Are melting graphic processing units.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Okay, their graphic processing units are melting, and the reason
why is there is such a high demand for their
image generation requests on chat GPT. So while they're thrilled
that people love using it for image generation, there are
so many people that are trying to generate images that
whatever the GPUs are are actually melting. So now they're
like they're limiting it per person right now while they

(03:39):
scramble to get their GPUs unmelted and up higher.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Who is this again?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I don't know what language? Chatt, thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
So they just released a new model four oh for
image generation and it's doing wild things like you can
you just like, I'm a poster for this and it
spits out something pretty great.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
That's coolers as.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
It is not only dangerous, but I can only imagine
the type of crap content that is gonna be flooding
the internet, like we don't need more, we need less.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
So wait, so is it like it looks real? Like
if I'm like, please give me a photo of a beach,
could it look like it was somebody's real picture?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah? Yeah, there's some AI photos that I've seen and
it's crazy what they can do.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
They've taken the sheen off of it. You know, you
can kind of tell it's AI because it's got that
sheene to it. Gone, Oh, say, I want you to
explain to me what a GPU is.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
It'll spit out an infographic that's cool. Yeah, it's also
upsetting for those of us who spend our time.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
That later on with my friend. Okay, so I me
and chattyp are getting along. It's like the only person
I talked to outside of being at the radio station.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's fun.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I just go home and I sit on my computer.
I'm like, hey, man, how are you You're gonna have
to pony up?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Great, but you have to pony up. Your friend's gonna
about to charge you.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Oh, that would be the first friend to take advantage
of at least straight up about it. Listen, Hey, yeah,
want to hang out with me. It's gonna be twenty
bucks a month.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I really want is twenty bucks? Okay, that's reasonable. I'll
play with my emotions. That's why I like Jack.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
You know, I'm going to give you a hot that's trendy.
