  • High Schools Are Teaching Teens How to Sleep—Yes, Really

MGK Left Off White Rapper Mount Rushmore, and He’s Not Happy

The internet is debating who belongs on the Mount Rushmore of white rappers, and a recent AI-generated image of it included Eminem, Mac Miller, Paul Wall, and Russ.

But MGK was not amused. He commented, “Me not on the white rapper Mt. Rushmore is blasphemy.”

Fans chimed in with other names like the Beastie Boys, Action Bronson, Lil Dicky, Yelawolf, Aesop Rock, and even Vanilla Ice—because apparently, he walked so the others could run.

Honestly, this might be the most passionate people have been about granite since the actual Mount Rushmore.

High School Students Are Now Learning How to Sleep

No, you’re not dreaming. High schools are now literally teaching kids how to sleep.

Mansfield Senior High in Ohio added a sleep course to help students improve their sleep hygiene. And it’s not just them—schools across the U.S. are hopping on the nap train, adding sleep lessons to health classes.

Why? Studies show teens are getting as little as 60% of the sleep they need, which experts say is linked to rising mental health issues, behavioral problems, and chronic absenteeism. Teens are supposed to get 8–10 hours a night, but most are running on about six. No wonder they’re exhausted.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Time for Nina's What's Trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Machine Gun Kelly woke up mad at what that he
wasn't included on the Mount Rushmore of White Rappers.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You know, they were making one.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
So somebody used AI to create this Mount Rushmore of
White Rappers, which includes Eminem, mac Miller, Paul Wall, and
Russ and so it's gone pretty wild.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I know, I was surprised by that too. I don't
even know who that is.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
He's a white rapper. Oh yeah, from Atlanta. I mean
I met him one time. We did yeah, yeah, when
we were at the Jingle Ball in Atlanta. He was
performing one time.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Exactly on the white rapper Mount Rushmore.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Do you feel like Machine Gun Kelly is valid for.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Either Mount Rushmore of White Rappers? I think he's pretty good, honestly.
I like I like Machine Gun Kelly, Yeah, but he's
not Mount Rushmore worthy. Who would on there? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:59):
I like Macma and I like Eminem me too, So
who else would you put?

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Well, you're thinking of that.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
Let's not forget that MGK changed genres after Eminem destroyed him.
He hasn't been a white rapper since he went after
Eminem once. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
He goes back and forth. He still.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
He does.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Okay, wait, but I feel like that's kind of like what.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
MGK did, like like what Jack Harlow.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Kind of does. Yeah, Jack Carlow's way better though, Oh okay,
I like him.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I like Jack Harlow. I just still feel like mgk's
kind of sick when he wraps on there. He was
actually nominated, there was a vote for him.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Was great.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
He should be just for being one of the you know,
one of the forefathers. I guess, yeah, white rappers, it
really is. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Some of the people that they were suggesting because they
not everybody was happy with the Mount Rushmore was Little
Dicky Asap Rock, Yellow Beastie Boys, Action Bronson.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah, so the those are some of the other options.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Meanwhile, other people are like, you guys, there's already a
Mount Rushmore of white rappers.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's called Mount Rushmore. So not funny talking about the right.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
They weren't rappers though they were presidents, right, Are they
all presidents on Mount Rushmore? I think, so who's on
Mount Rushmore? President's all presidents?

Speaker 5 (02:20):
I think on the backside is U.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The ba size the backside is a Native chief. I
think I thought it was their butts. Yeah, no, it
doesn't go all the way through. It's weird. I know.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
It's like Mountain actually as like a cloak.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It has George Washington, Thomas Jeffer Cynthia Door, Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln,
and the fifth base on Mount Rushmore.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
There isn't one. I don't know I gave you.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
It's actually much smaller than you think. I've been there,
but I did. I didn't remember who was on it,
so I'll show you a picture of you, guys want.
It was from a really fun road trip I went
on anyway, during COVID. So moving on.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So there's a new class in.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Schools, actually in high school. This is starting in Ohio
and may become a thing. And it's a class that
teaches teens how to sleep. Apparently the course is necessary
because more people don't know how to sleep. There's actual
skills that you're supposed to have that can help you
fall asleep better. And because of I would assume social media.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Your phone gaming.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
And all of that stuff, it's been a lot harder
for teens to get quality sleep, and of course it's important,
especially during those ages.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
So they've dedicated a whole class to it.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
They don't break down what's in the class, because that's
what I really want to know.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
How do you do that?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
You don't need a skill to sleep. You just need
to turn off your devices.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, and I'm bad at that as well.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
The skill you need is discipline, right, Okay, bedtime routine
is good. Yeah, that doesn't include scrolling social media.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Part of.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
You need to wash your face and you get a
little bit of lavender oil, rub it on early.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
What has that got to do? Magnesium on your feet?
You think they can't sleep because they've got so many hacks,
so many things on the internet.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
And if you don't get to one of the hacks
that you wanted to do before bed, now you're stressed
because you don't think he did it right.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Expect that's so sure.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I started stretching before bed, and if I miss a
night of stretching, I don't sleep there.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, because now you're worried about it.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah it anyway, that's what's trending.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I'm still stuck on the Mount Rushmore thing. I'm be
honest with you, like, why is it Everlast on there?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh? Yeah? The House of pain that is Everlast? Yeah, Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah,
I don't think. I feel like that's not right. Never
last is the lead singer of House of Pain. I
don't know. That is the same guy.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Who did Jump Around, did Whitey Ford sings the Blues?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
What other songs? But it's like, yeah, he had a
bunch of songs. Yeah, huh, yeah, it's kind of crazy.
He switched genres as well. I guess though, so that's
an MG. But he didn't.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
But he didn't do it because somebody challenged him. He did,
he didn't do it. Got so basically the game.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Just like I want to I want to try to
evolve into something different, but like, oh god, I can
never rap again because I just killed.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Me on the track. I literally live in Eminem's trunk.
Everybody does. That's what's trending.
