Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So du A Lingo, the language app, has just announced
the death of its owl mascot Duo. I think they're
really embracing a brand redo. But they said that authorities
are currently investigating his cause of death and we are
cooperating fully. He probably died waiting for you to do
your lesson. Man, I'm sorry. And then on the app

(00:23):
when you go there, there's still a picture of the
owl with x'es over his eyes and out. I'm a
fan of nowt.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
To be like, I've got a great idea to get
rid of our mascot. Let's like publicly kill it.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Right, It's right. Actually, whoever is doing due Lingo's marketing
is pretty funny. There was this image of Shakira like
promoting one of her new songs and they had like
commented or exed it out whatever you call it, tweeted
it and they're like the only other person that can
teach t white people's funny.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Due.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Lingo's marketing has been on points for like a decade.
I mean they have been so good at this. Their
social is hilarious.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Really, it is really funny, and it gets weirder. So
apparently if you've been following Duo the Owl, then you
know that Duo has a huge obsession with Dualipa. So
the al has been really public about how much he
loves do A Liipa. So do A Lipa is even
playing into this now and she tweeted out and she's
just like, because they asked for du Aleipa's privacy at
this time, she just was like till death Duo part

(01:28):
with a broken heart emoji. So she's in on this
whole thing too. That's funny. I know, deling goes pretty
gas like when companies have fun with their marketing. Yeah,
but that's how you make a company stand out. Yeah. True.
In other news, this is really interesting. A company that's
not needing any help because people need it for eggs.
There's a people are renting chickens to deal with egg prices.

(01:50):
And the company is called Rent the Chicken. You can
rent a chicken, rent.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Chick the chicken, to rent the chicken dot com once
And it's not what you're saying it is.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
It is one hundred percent. What I'm saying is I
just run from a few hundred bucks over one thousand dollars.
You end up getting the chicken, you get a coop,
you get the feed, all of that stuff. So if
you didn't know, chickens lay anywhere between sixteen and twenty
eggs twenty eight eggs per week. Wow, So if you
rent the chicken, then you know you're not Paul. It's
just crazy to me. I used to try doing that

(02:20):
when I was younger.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
There was one of my teachers had little chicks that
he would bring when the chickens had babies or whatever, and
I tried bringing four of them home one day.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
My parents were like, what are those? And I'm like,
our new chicks. We're gonna have chicken soon.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
They all ran away because the fence that I had
for them was too big Victoria. I didn't think about
what do you meant of flu vatoria like that?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Have you killed the chick I did not? Oh could
you also kill they? What?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
No, don't put that on me. Also, oh my god,
I didn't kill the chickens. It was the fence that
was way too big. They got out and the owl
was not my fault. I apologize. I haven't been on
my lessons lately. I'm a little baby, But do all.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Come looking for you. It's okay, man, he's already dead. Yeah,
Duo's dead. We can bring them back. You procrastinated your
way to death at this point. Is this is definitely
a lesson. If you do participate and rent the chicken,
be responsible, keep your chickens alive, take care of them
because they are living things. You also got to give
it back. It's only renting, you don't own it, right,
This is so you gotta bird is gonna go away

(03:20):
at some point, so then they can take them back
lest they keep you handing out bird flue chickens.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Oh well, yeah, I'm seeing all the ones. You can
rent them.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
They're not they don't have okay, okay. And lastly, kind
of on the same topic, brunch is now just going
to be for rich people because eggs are not the
only thing going up in price. It's also orange juice
and coffee, and so now breakfast is getting very expected. Wait,
why I just said coffee and orange juice are also
going up? What's wild about? Why are they? I don't know?

(03:50):
What's what about?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
This is breakfast for dinner used to be because when
I was growing up, we'd have breakfast dinner because because
we were port right, Yeah, like eggs awesome and then
to just be done with it and like breakfast and
didn't look it's special. Right, It was just because that
was the treaper, cheaper stuff. Now it's like you can't
do that. You can't have breakfast for any time, right,

(04:12):
not even for breakfast.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Brunch used to be the solution to all of the problems.
You don't feel good, We're going to brunch. Now you
gotta think twice. They seem mad, So that's what's trending.
I'm not happy you don't have dinner for breakfast. No,
I want my breakfast for breakfast.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
My orange is, my coffee, my eggs, and my bagel,
Like I want.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Your good job.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, stop killing chicks.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I what if I buy the chickens and I rent
them out to other people.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
It's a great idea. Sub lease your chickens.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Yeah, rented chicken rented to somebody else.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Come soon. These people are laughing at gen Zers. Hey,
mafia godfathers are upset about the quality of new recruits.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
I'm oh yeah, because like they do still have the
mob families now, like the newer ones are gen z and.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
They're like, okay, these kids today they just don't work.
They're not doing their jobs right. And this is real.
So there was a major crackdown by the Italian police,
arresting nearly one hundred and fifty suspected members of the
Kosa no Strom mafia family in Sicily. I mean, that's
like the Mega one. Yeah, I didn't know about it.
That's like the Mob. The Mob family is in the world.

(05:21):
The Mob family had a crackdown, But the ones that
they got are sitting in jail now complaining about the
new recruits and how they're probably blaming them for why
they got busted in the first place, Like that's you
don't work. They're getting us busted. This is all about pa.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
I don't worry about it. I whacked that guy, son,
I'm glad you whacked that guy. I followed him on Instagram.
He's dead to me.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
That's not how we do it. That's not how we
do it. Say they lacked the honor and discipline of
earlier generation.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
They really do.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Man, we're gonna whack them.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
But then there was a video on TikTok and I
started watching them, and then I was scrolling forever and then.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
You got a don't about it, showed up. I can't worry.
I'm on TikTok. Well here's so back to something much
older than gen Z. Do you remember Slice, the soda Slice?

(06:22):
What remember it? It's my childhood. So Slice has been
an exile for about fifteen years. It was once owned
by PepsiCo and it was the answer to Sprite. So
now they've been bought by Suja Life. You know they've
got those green juices Suja Life. So they're bringing back Slice,
but this time it's going to be a gutsy blend.
It's a digestive supporting mix of prebiotics. So it's a
healthy soda. So all these healthy sodas are trending now,

(06:44):
Like so it's sprite, it's healthy. Well, I don't know
that it's going to taste like Spry. But actually Slice
had a bunch of different flavors. It was like orange Slice,
grape Slice, all the different flavors. Go get a poppy.
It's going to be competing with Poppy now, Oh healthy,
So gotcha? Okay? Yeah, Well, staying on the health conversation,

(07:06):
jelly Roll has just launched his Losers Club, his Losers
Run Club. Have you seen this? Jelly Roll, the artist
has been on a weight loss journey, and so he's
created this Losers Run Club to inspire a bunch of
people to get on there. So whether they're just starting
running or just starting their workouts, and if you'd like
to participate, you can find it on an app called
Strava or on Facebook and they're just all getting into it.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
It's going to sound like when he loses all the weight,
what do you mean you can't anymore? Vegan stone.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Wheat toes multi go to the stage at the Radio
Music Festival. Multi Grain Wheat doesn't have the same ring
to it, but it's a healthy rebrand. Start a chips

(07:59):
doesn't sound oh god, it's gonna be awesome. Rocks hard
