Speaker 1 (01:49):
I got a couple of stories to share, but I
feel like we had so much going on that everybody's
just gonna kind of get a couple of minutes. How
about this, how do we feel what time frame should
each other for everybody get to share at.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
The You're probably gonna well, Chris is probably gonna eat
up most of the time.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Well, what do you think it? How should we split it?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I'd say like anywhere close to three to four maybe.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
So maybe a four minute piece for each of us.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Three four, I like even numbers. We keep it at four.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I'm gonna do four minutes in one second just to
really fuck with you.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
Fuck have to be like like.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Look, guys, I can only count to twenty. Okay?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Is that because you count on your toes too?
Speaker 5 (02:36):
I can only count to twenty. Nobody can see my
toes under this, but I can only count to twenty.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I can go to twenty one. No, I do not
have an eleventh though. Less you call it that? Wow,
do a click? Bad joke, bad joke, bad joke. That
was a I count my nose.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
I was Dalton, your your your, your lower nose.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
I can see it. This one, well, I hope.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
You can see it down there.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
This one that was the worst attempt at a dick joke.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Jesus Christ. All right, did you.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Click for that? Did you click for that? Yeah? That's too.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Wow? All right, Oh it's mine. I think I think
Dad should probably.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Talk kick off Dad rock and roll. What a ride.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
And everybody thought it'd be me.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, I want to know. Would have been classic, Chris
if I would have gave you a five dollars bill
right after that.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Ship?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Oh, I forgot.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
All right, Chris, take her away right?
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Yes, So this the last time we recorded, which it's been.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I'd had a.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
Good Christmas with the family, got the Galla, spoiled me
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I got one of two new pairs of Hey Dudes.
Speaker 6 (04:16):
On She got me a Buckeye pair because she joked
and said, I have to match with her own game
day even though her team didn't do too hot in
the playoff and my team, holy shit, is.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Monday night gonna be fun?
Speaker 6 (04:28):
And she surprised me and got my spirit animal Patrick Starr,
So of course you can't see him.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I'm rocking him on my feet right now. So anyway,
New Year.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
That was fun, spend time with her, spent time with
some of the friends and family, and h Friday morning
on January tenth, after a long forty hours in the
hospital already and I wanted to go home. Baby boy
was born. So everyone congratulating me, ask how she was doing.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
We're all doing good. She's doing well, Baby's doing well.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Still a surreal moment, looking like, man, I'm both I'm
beyond blessed to have a baby boy, and honestly hope
you don't. It's not another me because Lord knows to me,
he's probably not fun.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
But ah shit, hey it's gonna add flavor.
Speaker 6 (05:23):
Oh absolutely, it's gonna but it's gonna be fun and
definitely a static and definitely he wants to meet well,
you guys meet him, and he wants to meet y'all and.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
We're here.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Wow, that was that was fast for saying forty hours.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Let alone, Yeah, your first kiddo, your first kid, You've
still got two minutes. You got the floor.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
I was gonna say, overall, forty one hours and seven
minutes of labor.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Fuck to the te Okay, hey, it's important to know
these numbers, but this.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Is gonna get you, say to Tuesday night, had an
induction date set. It was gonna be Tuesday night, and
then they called literally when I was right around the
corner of getting to her house because we're like eight pm,
we should be all right, canceled it.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
But we got in Wednesday morning eight am.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
And yeah, and then five days in the hospital. I'm
just like, yeah, that's I'm parannoyed about hospitals.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
I'm like, guess five days too many?
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Do you have the ultimate question?
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah? How how comfory is that bead? Coffee? Is that
hospital bed not her bed? Your bed?
Speaker 1 (06:30):
So so we talked about.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
This, yeah, because yeah, literally the first question he asked
me from the hospital room, how comfy is that?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
So? Uh, first of all, they up there at St.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
V's and Toledo, which, fun fact, right across the street
from the high school football stadium. So I'm literally looking
at that football field and I'm like, yeah, I could
have brought my football gear and try to run around
and blow both my knees and need some new knees anyways,
could get some.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
New keys, walk out, well, walk in and then walk
out with new knees and a new sun beautiful can.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
And a thirty thousand dollars medical bill.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
Anyway, facts, anyways, back to reality. They upgraded from that
uncomfy chair, so it's a little foots on and it
folds the back cushions full to make a bed.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Dreams what the dreams on the comfort level?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Get this?
Speaker 6 (07:19):
You remember the black foods on that being in had
and I kept it for a little bit longer when
he moved out, and I had little, Yeah, kind of
that comfort level that is good when I face.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
But it didn't have that lapping luxury.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
They didn't have that bar in the middle because the
bar in the middle where the cushion split was covered
with the back cushion, but it was still within the bed,
so it.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Kind of looked like a twin bed.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Not too bad.
Speaker 6 (07:46):
But then when we got the postpartum room and everything,
and I looked at that couch, I'm like, oh god,
this one's I'm more uncomfy.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Than the one I swept in for a labor but
made it work.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay, brother, I'll tell you what he's fucking spot on
on time. Holy shit, you have any final words colorful.
I was gonna give you extra time. I mean, sure, short, sweet,
to the point. Hey, wow, I'll be asking you tips.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
I'll so. Oh, here here's the one question I had.
Did you eat while? She could?
Speaker 6 (08:19):
She ate for actually, I think because she took little
while for the up dural. She literally waited for the
ep dural until last minute Thursday morning, five am. So
we ate throughout the day. I probably only had one
meal and it was because, yeah, they pretty much said,
(08:41):
you haven't eaten anything all day.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
You need to eat.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
You know, he skips meals. Oh you know that?
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, so legit. Her mom's like, he need to eat something.
I'm like, I'm fine, I'm fine.
Speaker 6 (08:53):
Her dad had to run out and he will grab
the few stuff for him and her step my, my
gals that mom.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
He ran out and grabs stuff. He pulls back up
by the back of cole over. He's like, I know
you got to eat something, So here you go.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
So all right, final question, then we'll move on.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
I want to go last to day because you guys
had way more final question for me.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
What was her victory meal? Jimmy Johnson, I fucking knew it.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
It's always, dude, it's always Jimmy John's are Jersey Mikes,
It's tell me, it's always.
Speaker 6 (09:24):
Hey, she had the I ship, you know, and you
could ask her she had this ship plan. She's like,
I can't wait to give birth so I could have
a Jimmy john sub.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
What's she get the Italian?
Speaker 6 (09:36):
No, it's the not the gargante one number thirteen.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Oh fuck someone, we have technology?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
Yeah, yeah, like I know she ordered Jimmy Johnson. Passed
down on the couch and she's like, I order Jimmy Johnson.
I'm like, I'm not surprised.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
What's the number thirteen?
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Jimmy Cubano, that's my favorite.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
I think that's what Jimmy Cubano on.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
The that she couldn't have was ham though, well, bacon
is bacon a part of that?
Speaker 4 (10:04):
No bacon?
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Would she allowed to have bacon? Because I know it's
you can't have like process.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I was thirteen.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
I can't remember, you can't have process.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Okay, Well either way, she go.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
A vouch better. Oh, I know she wanted Jimmy John's.
That's that's my go to sandwich. So I respect it.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I think that's what it is. I could be wrong.
I just half to sleep when she said the number two.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I'm a Jersey Mike's whore.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
You don't want to talk about me and Jersey Mike.
We're bros.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
We have.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
A sub above a sub and and tub brother life.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
Changing, the double, the double wraps, oh.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Double meat wrap.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
All right, bike, you had a big boat that I
don't think I would go on.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Oh dude, I will tell you.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Now unless I was completely inebriated.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Well, well that was how it was spent. There we go,
let me start my timer. So Kylie enacted. The biggest
point that she said that we will never do ever again,
is we will never drive to Florida ever again.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
In our entire life. Well, here we go.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
So we left Christmas night. I don't know if you
guys know.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
This little flavor pouch for this one.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
We will have Christmas Night from Lorraine Snapchat.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Oh yeah, I remember that Snapchat.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Lorraine added an hour to our drive, so it was
a sixteen and a half hour drive to Tampa. So
we got to BUCkies about ten thirty ataway Richmond, Kentucky.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Oh you went to the farthest north until they opened
the one in Hubert Heights.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yes, all right, Oh, I'm on the neighbor heights.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Still isn't up in yeeah summer yep.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Anyways, so we stopped.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Smartest decision in your entire life. If you ever want
to go to BUCkies and want to experience it fully,
there were thirty people in Bucky at ten o'clock on
Christmas Day. Go to BUCkies on Christmas Day at ten o'clock. Brother,
it was. It was glorious. The bathrooms were even cleaner
than they could have ever been.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
It was immaculate, at least at night because we went
when because of course, if I have mentioned before, the
gal's a big BUCkies like she sleep breathed BUCkies at night.
I think we had like forty people including us and
staff go when it's night hours.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Bad thing. Bad thing about going at night you don't
get as much food. There's not as many food options.
You can still get the brisket, you can still get
a Philly cheese steak burrito, best food item they have
dog Dude left due slept dude. I I can't talk
(12:52):
about the experience that I had in terms of that
burrito amazing. Did you try that burrito with a little
bit of a barbecue sauce on it.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
So no, actually, so that barbecue.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Sauce has to go on that bread I had.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
I just yeah. Now, the question to you is did
they have the triple meat sandwich.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
They did not. It was all you can get it
that night is the brisket. You can get the burrito,
you can get the chips, you can get the I
think it's the wedges.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Yeah, yeah, and then.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
You can get one other sandwich and that's good. That's
all you can get at night. Now, Kylie did get jerky,
the jerky. She got it from the deli section. She
didn't get a bag. I think the bag jerky is
cheaper and better in an option than the stuff that
they got out of the thing.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Out of the jerky section.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
It was really good jerky out of the jerky section.
But it's pricey. It's that like twenty seven dollars a
pound jerky. Yeah, so she got like quarter pound I
think of each, just to try like a couple of flavors.
She did not like the turkey. She really liked the
beef peppered, So she's a beef pepper console.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
You get a blue cream soda?
Speaker 1 (14:07):
No, I got a I got a don't you know
what I got.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
You got a fucking cherry freeze.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Nope, I got a Doctor pepper freeze. They have Doctor
pepper freezes and brother, that was a life changing.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Texas Texas thing.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah, they're big with dot I'm telling you now, I
hope that they drop a BUCkies now just because of
the doctor.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Preffer whichet did you get?
Speaker 1 (14:28):
We got regular?
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Oh, the cinnamon ones I heard are slept on too.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
We got the regular and then that's it, slap and that.
Then we got out of there with Bootscoop buggy because
we wanted to get back on the road. I did
a no. No, I should have had her started driving.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Did you shoot a big black dog in the middle
of the road.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
No. She started driving from BUCkies and she went thirty
minutes and she said, Alec, I'm tired, and I said, okay,
pull over, let's find somewhere. So it got to about
eleven o'clock. I'm back in the car, back in the
driver's seat. I already drove from five thirty to ten.
Oh well, yeah, five thirty to ten. I'll just I've
(15:09):
only gotten to that drive. We'll have to be quick
on the cruise. It's fine, oh, he got five thirty
to ten, probably about ten ten thirty, and then we
did another couple hours and we got all the way
to Athens, Tennessee. We got to Athens, Tennessee, we pulled
into a speedway at two am. Yeah, I just cracked
my second celsius.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
Oh that's light work.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Well, I was halfway through my second Celsius. And we
get out of the car and she goes into the bathroom.
She comes back out after I filled the tank, and
she looks at me and she says, Alec, if we
get back in this car and we drive any fucking
longer tonight, I will fucking kill you. And that those
are exact words. And I am like, okay, look for
(15:53):
a hotel. There was a hotel cross Street, which, by
the way, best hotel we stayed for the price the
entire trip one hundred dollars a night. They had a pool,
spa and a water slide in their pool area and
it was the cleanest I've ever seen in a pool.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Did you go down the water slide?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
No. Kylie looked at me and said, Alec, you're past
the weight women. You are past the fucking weight women. Damn,
I'll tell you this was a great honeymoon. It was great.
We had a lot of laughs, We made a lot
of jokes, and we fucking lived it up. But I'll
tell you what it got real. But now, just to
(16:38):
run through with the cruise really quick. By the drama
meme patches or by the motion sickness patches on Amazon,
buy it best investment you can do. I'm telling you now.
We didn't have to use them. Kylie wanted to use
them for about the beginning of the day. The only
time we ever felt motion sickness was when I was
laying down on the bed and I was on my
phone because your level with the water her it was
(17:01):
getting rough. Because we were out in the open sea
and you're on your phone. You're fucked. I'm telling you now.
Speaker 6 (17:07):
Yeah, anytime you're on water and you look at your
phone and it's not even with cruise, but anything in
like if you're out on the water and you and
any type of bullet, it's that's here.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Usually No, no.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Food was good. Buffet sucked, but all the other food
was good. So with your regular dining, you got the
regular dining room, and then you got the buffet you
could choose every night. Then we paid for a package
to be able to get three other separate meals that
are like premium meals. So we had a night of
steakhouse fire fire. We're talking like your prime high dollar steakhouse. Beautiful,
(17:44):
Kylie find. We was able to try beef tartar.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
It's just beef. She that's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
She enjoyed it.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
I can make carnivore sandwiches for.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
They did a brunch that was really good that was
a part of that package, and then the other one
on that package was their other premium dining which is
like a middle tier, which was really good too. Best
food I probably had on the ship in terms of
stuff that's included, like if we didn't buy that package.
(18:19):
The burgers. They have a burger stand and it's cheeseburger
and paradise. So we got back on the boat after
we got got out of Cosmo, we got back on
the boat. We dropped our stuff off, and we immediately
went to the burger stand, because we did that the
first day when we got on. We immediately went to
(18:40):
the burger stand. I got it. I got two fucking cheesebergers.
I fucking killed a dog killer damn. And their flat
top grilled and then their fries are like a season fry.
So other than that the only two critiques I had,
well three, I feel like cruises are very much based
(19:01):
on who you know and how much how much money
you give out in tips, because all the crew staff
are foreigners and they're sending home money, and they're all great.
They're really nice. They're always very friendly, but I feel
like they you could kind of see a little bit
of like preference based on like, oh, yeah, that guy's
got money, you know, but they still did really well.
(19:22):
We were always we always had drinks in our hand.
We always had food if we needed it. It was great.
Second thing, we were getting off the boat. We had
fog that morning. We didn't get off the boat. Were
supposed to go off bout nine am, and we had
early disembarkment. We were supposed to be the first round
of people off because we had paid for it with
a Wi Fi package. Yeah, we didn't get off the
boat till one o'clock because we poured it at noon.
(19:45):
We got off the boat at one and we should
have been off the boat at like twelve, at twelve,
like right one boat. You guys got off well, and
it's because they didn't tell us where we needed to be.
They told us where we needed to be at nine am,
but they didn't tell us where we needed to be
at one or well at noon to be able to
get off at noon. Other than that, the front of
(20:08):
the ship I think was the area where they kind
of stored or where all of the waste was going.
So like, towards the end of the stay, you would
go because all the theaters and stuff were in the
front of the boat. You go in towards the theaters
and it'd kind of smell and you'd be like, but
then you get in the theaters and it's fine. So
those were the only three critiques I really had. Everything
(20:30):
else was great. It was awesome. Our room was actually
really good size for a cruise, and we had the balcony.
So closet experience ever is looking out your window at
midnight and you see black scary awesome. You know those
videos where they're like the it's kind of like the
sea shanty. Yeah, every time I would look out the
(20:53):
window at night, Kay would start humming that in the background,
but I could stop it. Hold on, yep, you know exactly.
The one.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
No, I got to play the best one. Real fast
and we won't get copyright because no one's gonna.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Get Oh, we're good. I went way too long, but perfect, get.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
It's time. I should have played that when you were
walking off.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
And also last piece is the whole. At the last minute,
people were running too the boat, myth lie. We didn't
take off from the port for like another half an
hour forty five minutes from.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
The original time, so that's mad.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
We We literally were sitting in our room on purpose,
so like we ate and got on the boat a
little early because we wanted to see people run. Like yeah,
it was just kind of our thing. We were just
like we want to see it, like we've seen it online.
Nobody did it like they were. They were good, like
they made sure that a lot of people were on
because of their systems and everything.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
They just knew so technology.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
So how was it, sir?
Speaker 5 (22:10):
I won't even I guess I've had the I wouldn't
say the most boring time off that we've had.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Finally got moved into the new job. Yeah, I'm telling you,
I am. I am mister Osha now for this motherfucker.
I was waiting for that. I was waiting for that
when we came back. I will say it's a huge
(22:39):
pace difference for what I was doing before. For those
of you, I really didn't really say.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
What I did before on this podcast. I think I
did one time. And this is a long time ago.
When RACELM was still with us. I was a highway
tech and you know, being going from being out on
the highways and having to deal with that to now
I get to deal with like the safety stuff and
you know, claims and stuff, especially snow and ice. Right now,
(23:06):
mailboxes are a hot topic for us. Yeah, you know
your way around a mailbox and.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
My way around a mailbox.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
What's the average price on a mailbox right now?
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Don't you know?
Speaker 5 (23:16):
I don't know what the cost of our standard ones
we put out at the garage, but I.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Know some people I will say this, and there's no.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Disgrace to this, and I some people pay a lot
of money for mailboxes to just get mail, which is cool.
I mean, you do what you want, But I'm the
guy that I'm the guy that get a hold of
for when your mailbox gets a little snow thrown on
her and it may go kaboo.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
So what's the highest number that you looked at and
said no, so.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I that's the thing is, I can't say that. Oh shit,
So like you think of it this way.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
My job is on top of making sure all of
our facilities.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Are up to code.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
Yeah, I have to also check general field work sites
like our paving train and all our culver crew, our
bridge crew. I can go out and check to make
sure all work sites are up to code. Right now,
I'm in charge of the southern counties of in our district,
so that's Fayette, Pickaway, Madison, and then we split districts,
(24:15):
so I'll take our main building one month and our
other guy will take bridge our bridge department.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
YadA YadA dah.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
So I have about five places I have to stay
in charge with with those inspections. But claims can come
from anywhere, So like I can get claims from Columbus,
I can get claims from well, Franklin County, Union County,
Marion County where we're at, and just go from there,
depending on who's in in the office. I will say
the biggest change of pace is not being on the
(24:42):
road as much.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Oh, I bet it's great for it's it's okay.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
I mean I'm going out tomorrow and doing an inspection.
But the greatest change of all is definitely I'm on
a four ten schedule.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Oh dude.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
I you know, it sucks because because I don't get
to the gym, and I mean it's outside.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Shit.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
I don't get to the gym till fifteen five thirty,
But I'm still home before seven, and I go to
bed just a little bit earlier.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
I get up at four fifty. Like I kind of
if you.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
Think about it, I kind of pretrained myself to do
this during football season, when like we'd be on a Tuesday,
I would by now I would have been up for
fucking almost fourteen hours.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
So I mean it's it's not difficult at all, other
than you know, having to deal with people.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Yeah, I have to. It's not bad. You get the
good ones and then you get the ones I want
to yell at you the entire time.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
So it's fun. I get to stay neutral. And I
have my own office right now. Our interns in there,
but hopefully I think he's going to be taking a
it position as an intern here soon, so I'll get
my own office at some point, which is cool because Christmas,
my dad I always said, if I ever got my
own office, I wanted an own you flag, and my
(26:04):
dad got me an own U flag for Christmas. So
that's the first thing that's going up. Other than you know,
the wife is probably gonna come up with some pictures
to put in my office.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
But it's kind of cool to say I have my
own office. Other than that, Christmas, I got everything I
didn't want. I think that's about everything. And that's the
thing is I.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Didn't ask for anything. Yeah, you know, I it was
pretty laid back. I mean, I fuck, what did I
even do? It was weird because number one, I wasn't
out working snow. I can I do still work snow.
I still do that from my extra time off and
extra money. Like last week, I worked sixteen on Monday
(26:47):
and a sixteen right after the House Stay game. I
worked eleven to three. New Year's was really chill. I
was falling asleep by eleven fifty five. Getting old sucks.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Oh absolutely. I had to wake Kylie up for the
ball drop.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
I watched, so we watch.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
I was I don't like watching the is it a
ABC or NBC does the ball drop? I've always watched
the CMT version, probably since I was in college.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Yeah, I actually I had.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
That all the CBS because they had that Nashville show
at the Country Senior.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Yeah, I had that.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
That's why I was watching for a bit. And then
I'm like, uh, off, flip of the ABC.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
You don't like Dick Clark's New Year's Eve party?
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Naw. I kind of got older from watching it all
the time as a kid.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
It's been very similar to what it is since then,
you know.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
But then I realized, oh, ship, I'm watching CMT there
in Nashville.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Nashville is an hour behind us. Yeah. I was like, yeah, fuck,
I'm going to bed.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
You ain't lasting the one.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
So yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Other than that, I got the email I was waiting for.
I was afraid I wasn't going to get it. I
I have my first pro invitational for powerlifting.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
First Hell yeah, brother, so congrats.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
I'm I think would Bob say we were talking on Sunday?
I think me Bob, Me, Bob, Cody and Josh are
five weeks out. I'm feeling I feel good. I was
doing some hip problems. Other than that, I like, where everything,
Oh the big thing we're checking out a venue on Friday.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
Good.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
We might've got it down because I think the lady
actually put us down. I think the tentative date, I'm
not going to put this out. I mean i'll put
this out there May thirty first. It'd be exactly a
year from when we got engaged. So oh wow, it's
actually in Nevada, really White Shutter Winery and brewery.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Oh I know about White Shutter.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
We're going to check it out on Friday and turn
it kind into a date night.
Speaker 4 (28:53):
And that's the one thing I.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
Think I really enjoy about having this, this little new
job experience and everything is the four tens gives me
more time to be at home.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
Now here comes the fun takeaway. I don't think I
said this the last podcast. I kind of kept it
on the down load.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
I am officially done with high school coaching because I
during our break we had a meeting. That's when I
got I got the job, and there's just no way
I can make I.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Don't get off four till four thirty.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Yeah, Okay, by the time in fall and especially summer
would be better because that's like two days are just
starting from our old schedule. But by the time we're
in season, I'm not showing up to.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Practice till five thirty. Practice over at six damn six
six thirty.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
So I made it. I made a decision. I went,
I talked with him. Everybody respected it. You know, I
said I'd help out when needed, I mean, where anything
was needed they had any questions or anything.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
But you know, I wish them.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
The best of luck, especially you know, they got a
young class coming up, and you know, I love my
time going back and coaching with my alumni.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Uh, you know, it's just.
Speaker 5 (30:08):
I I tried to figure out every way that I
could think to make it work. But I think it
was the best decision now. And I'm you know, I'm
so far out from even thinking about coaching again, but
our season even coming up that I'm kind of glad
I get to step away and actually focus more on
well this this this would be like three but Sarah,
(30:31):
our families and stuff, you know, try to get some
shit figured out.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
You know, growing up sucks, well, as you would know.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Best parton is you got Friday and it's freagain so
you can watching football.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, I guess. I mean, actually, so that was the
funny thing. That was the first thing she said her
her cousin's actually a senior at River Valley. Yeah, so
I may or may not be at the River Valley
Elgin Opener, Marion County Opener.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
To see that you thought you had that night off,
You're wrong.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
That's a Thursday. So but yeah, I uh yeah, it's
a this is getting real. This is getting real. It's
a really nice change of pace though.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Hell yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
So you never.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
Realize how stressed you are from another job until you
start a job that you know they're stressful situations.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah right, But you.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
Never realize how stressful a job was until you left it.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
It's not constant stress.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yeah. But I love every I love all the guys
I worked with. I miss him.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Yeah, you know that's why I really credit still going
and plowing snow for him, because they are down some.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
People right now.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Really yeah. Oh yeah, Well I've got your CDL go apply.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
Yeah, o up, maybe District six if you're around the area,
or any o dot really in the state of Ohio.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
We're always hiring. All right, let's get this pizza. I'm
kind of hungry. I'm hungry again.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
As always, the Okay Cafe loves to give us pizzas,
so we get to make.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Funny tick talks. As long as TikTok is still around,
you know.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Anybody that's watching it on TikTok, come on over there.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Okay, that's.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
TikTok. We're probably gonna start.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
Moving over Instagram.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Oh yeah, Facebook, the whole nine be there be square, dude.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Look how much grease is on the bottom? No I know, yeah, yeah,
are you listening to the bottom?
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Hold on, hold on all the time.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
That is a greasy pie. That is a pie.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
You know what? I put a nice question?
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Look for us?
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Sure you know what I heard her say, Go follow
the Okay cafe on Facebook?
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Absolutely, also following like us.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
On Facebook absolutely and social media.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Now absolutely, here we go, Here we go. What do
you think we never even did our He's out of it. Okay,
I would have to say.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
This is a pepperoni, sausage ham, mushroom.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Okay, so we'll meet with mushy.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
Bacon, mushroom, banana pepper, Oh, tuska bacon. All right, you
said extra bacon, take that extra making off making ham.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
Okay, there we go.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Pepperoni, green pepper, No pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom ham.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Okay. I guess for the day.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
We'll see how it goes. I don't know, it probably
won't be anywhere close.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
All right, one, Oh pepperoni sausage ham banana pepper.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Oh my goodness, that is a delectable.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
I was not that far off, but I was so
far off.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
He's already getting to it.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
So go get you some guys. All right, we should
be checking.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Oh wow, dude, that is a fire pizza pie pro
like two or three on there. We got some football
to chat, boys, because we got NFL and uh, but
before we get into the NFL, we got to talk
about a team that we didn't expect, and we have
we have a topic that was provided by uh, the
(34:24):
woman because she had a question.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Sure, Kylie, what's your question?
Speaker 1 (34:29):
She asked, because she wanted to hear us. I'll say directly,
do you always take your team in the first round?
Do you always take your team that you support in
the first round?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Depends on the situation.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
So do you have anything to back up on that.
I gotta think on this one.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
For me, Yeah, I said, it depends on the situation,
how we lined up and the performance we have against
our rival. Yes, I was fully against it in this case.
I said no, But like I said, depends on the situation.
If we had somebody else, like honestly, if we lined
up with Clemson, I would say absolutely hammering and we
should win that game hands down, and then if we
get clapped, we'll face the consequences. But because we had
(35:17):
Tennessee and Tennessee was kind of rolling, which if you
obviously you guys know, and I'm gonna share it with some.
As much as I love Ohio State, I will critique
every mistake they make, and when they prove me wrong,
I'm like, this is why I love you guys, just
so you guys could prove me wrong because you literally
(35:38):
did what I needed to do. Why can't we do
that a certain game before? But again, like I said,
I will be it depends. Like when we had Tennessee,
I went against it, But sometimes going against them leads
us to where we're at Monday night.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
You did you already answer that question or you can even.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Question I voiced my opinion for the question.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
So that's it's a loaded question.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
It's a loaded question because I'm looking at these brackets
that we made and I thoroughly still agree with the
fact that I think the seating should be worked as
well as I think nobody is going to underestimate a
(36:37):
first round team. Ever, again, after this year, So the
question was would I go with.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
So it's your team that you always support, are you
supporting them in the first round every time?
Speaker 4 (36:49):
Absolutely?
Speaker 5 (36:50):
If they're playing in the first round, because just based
off this year alone, we're looking at the fact that
if you look at our brackets up there, we have
technically the top team, which is the eighth seed yep,
and the first the first initial game of the CFP
(37:10):
first round is all the way at the bottom, and
now the number seven and number eight team are playing
each other. If you were to tell me that that
was any sort of speculation, and you were to tell
me to put money on it, I would have called
you crazy, But I would have said you're the smartest
man alive as soon as you would have hit probably
(37:32):
one hundred thousand dollars on a ten dollars bet.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
His dad should have put money on it. His dad
has a perfect bracket.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
He does just waiting on Monday night result.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
So and he has Ohio State winning.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Now bump fact though, because both give Scotty some love too.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Scott's right behind him.
Speaker 6 (37:54):
One game, he got the Arizona State Texas game wrong.
He's took Arizona Stakes the national championship.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
But really, that Arizona State pick was not a was
not a bad pick.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
Games.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Arizona State should have won that game, should.
Speaker 6 (38:09):
Have could have would have won that game literally to
the last possession.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
I say this, and I say this with full arms.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
Even with Ohio State beating Texas, Ohio State should have
played Arizona State. Texas just figured it out in the
in the overtimes, in the overtimes to figure out how
to beat Arizona State. They were not stopping Arizona State.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
Until towards the end of that game.
Speaker 5 (38:30):
Now Here is the argument that I have as to
why you do not want to be a top seed
next year?
Speaker 4 (38:41):
Yes, did anybody take the time? I like the football
sports nerd that I like to be on the.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Side now of how long each team had to wait
to play their next opponent?
Speaker 4 (38:55):
What was the average a month? Just about a month,
like twenty four days?
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Yeah, twenty four It was twenty four days, well from
the previous game they played.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
Was the average that the top four seeds had to
wait to play their next game?
Speaker 6 (39:13):
Boise was twenty five because they played their championship on Friday.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Night, because it was the first week in in December
is when you do have your conference champions.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
You win your conference champion.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
And then you don't play until New Year's Eve.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
The average was twenty four days to where you're and
they say twenty four it's not the exact game time,
because guys, let's be real here, you're practicing for the
team you're gonna fucking play against. Yeah, Okay, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
I don't have to be spot on because if you're
not eyeballing the fact that, Okay, Oregon, I bet Oregon
one hundred percent thought they were gonna play Tennessee. I
guarantee it. Arizona State probably knew they were going.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
To play Texas. That's why they came out the way
they did.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
If I was Boise, I was praying that SMU were
to come down pipeline and Georgia was chomping at.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
The bit, probably for Notre Dame to win this game.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
So what does this teach us? What does this teach
the CFP? You cannot take a month, You cannot take
a month off. I wholeheartedly think that they're going to
keep the structure the same way for next year. In
twenty twenty six, we are going to see that the
(40:28):
top four seeds are going to be playing within fourteen days.
Oh yeah, it's gonna be way faster. That's where I
also think they're going to expand it again. It's gonna
be a slight expansion, but I think that we will
probably see a sixteen with your top Would that be
your top three get a bye for sixteen?
Speaker 4 (40:50):
Yeah? Be your top four? Still to be top four still?
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Yeah, yeah, because then everybody would still be able to
play in hold on.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
All six excuse me, sixteen. It would even it.
Speaker 6 (41:01):
Out, yes, six yeah, So if you want three buys,
you probably have to go fourteen.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Yeah, no, that one.
Speaker 6 (41:08):
But if you did sixteen teams, your top two team,
your top two are the.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
I never do fourteen though they wanted because they don't
want the top two to have the B.
Speaker 5 (41:17):
So that's I mean, honestly, my biggest argument is this,
and I it's the biggest question I have is.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
Do you want to be the top four seed?
Speaker 1 (41:31):
No?
Speaker 4 (41:32):
Or the top one through four seeds?
Speaker 2 (41:35):
Well?
Speaker 1 (41:36):
No, because well and I want to answer the question
for I want to give a reason of why. Kylie
asked that question, by the way.
Speaker 4 (41:43):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
She wanted to see if you guys will grow.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Me or not.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
For the fact that I didn't take Ohiose State in
the first round.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
I didn't either.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
She doesn't understand that none of us to Gohiose State
in the first round. But that's the reason she had
brought that question up. I think it was a great
question to open this up. But because for the fact
of I'm not a question, it was a great question,
I'm gonna thank her for it. I wouldn't want to
be in those top four seeds, in those top foo
you have to play a conference champion. That's an extra
game you have to play. Yep, yes, they have a
(42:14):
playing game. But at the end of the day, you're
still spreading out those times off, you're splitting them in half.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
So at that point you get your rest, you get
prepared go into the game. Then you get more prepared
time and rest go into your next game. You don't
really get too much prepared in time rest from New
Year's to what is it the seventh Yeah, that's seven days.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Yeah, that's six days. You're a week that's average.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Yeah, So it's your back right into the regular season.
And then with this one, I think it was ten days,
nine days championship.
Speaker 5 (42:53):
Yeah, yes, tause we haven't seen a college football game
since last.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Friday, Notre Dame eleven days off. House State's getting.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
Ten so so average. So really, at the at the
end of the day, if you're a consistency based team,
which who isn't you want it? Yeah, yeah, you want that.
You want to be able to have your time to
get rest, but also not get out of shape because
you and I know it by by all the schooling
that we took, you don't use it, you lose it.
(43:21):
So you got to work even harder now in the
off time to be able to keep what you have that.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
Was gonna be My biggest argument is this. Okay, that
Oregon team was not the number one team we watched
play Withhiose State. No, that was not the number one team.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
Can go with this and I actually said this in
our group chat on snapchat. The only team that deserved
that bie was Arizona State. Georgia team even without Carson
it was a different team, but because they were.
Speaker 6 (43:50):
They defended Georgia with that And I'm like, then, why
did you make that same comp that same comment last
year with Florida State, different team because of different quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
Well State trailed that.
Speaker 6 (44:00):
Different, different spy say you made that comment last year
and bashed it. Now you're using it to defend Georgia
because it's a different team. So Gunner stocked and stepped
up against Texas.
Speaker 5 (44:11):
Though Penn State played their ass off to stop the
run the run, the runs show stopper as in Ashton Genty,
that man has just earned his draft stock. I honestly,
I'll say this and not trying to talk NFL too early.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
I would like to see the Browns take him at too.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
Did you see the running joke of the draft board
and somebody said next year's draft board and it's Eshton Genty,
Ashton Gentyeshy Ashton Genty or or or Scatterborough.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Ye, Scatterborough.
Speaker 5 (44:42):
You know that that man single hand earned his way
to a first round.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Arizona State to get where they were.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
You guys saw that he was throwing up at on
the sideline. He can ride.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
So my I guess my question is this to you guys, now,
what would you do to restructure the brackets that we're
looking at right now?
Speaker 1 (45:09):
Chris, you say it because I don't know if you're
on the same wavelength as me, but I don't want
to tell you, because you're gonna get You're probably gonna
get pissed off at what I would do. So do
you have an idea?
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Are you taking Boise State out of it? Oh?
Speaker 1 (45:22):
No, I'm talking about restructuring. You're talking about restructuring the
whole tournament.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
I'm talking about who's seeded where.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
Oh okay, okay. I was talking about restructuring, and.
Speaker 4 (45:31):
Now I'm talking about who seated where?
Speaker 5 (45:33):
Because so far, I mean, if you need to take
a comment championship, Okay, let's go down the line.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
Let's let's make this. You're number one, is still Organ?
They had the best record.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Yeah, Organ's undefeated.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
You're number two, sadly, I think still has to be Georgia.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (45:50):
Is your number three Bois?
Speaker 2 (45:52):
M No, uh, here's my case.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
I said.
Speaker 6 (45:57):
The only reason I said Boise should have been the
third it was because they won their conference championship, because
that's why they were basically getting out of now taking
that out, now, let's take it out. I honestly wouldn't
have put Bois at three. I saw what had them
in obviously, but I would have had them at three.
Speaker 5 (46:14):
So all right, now let's go around my number three
out of all of those teams would have probably been
Penn State.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
So you're taking conference championship conversations out of there.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Yeah, take the conference championship out.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
My number three would have probably been Penn State. I
would have swapped them. It had been s m U
against Boise.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
I agree with the Penn State piece three.
Speaker 5 (46:39):
Arizona State now from I can't hate on this program
because they they wanted to Cinderella runs so bad well, and.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
They had all the Senate.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
They had everything well, and I still think they have
the momentum.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
You want to know what the setup was, huh When
they were talking about it, ESPN had a graphic and
it had everybody's logos correctly except for them. They had
Arizona's logo. They set up the rival run right then
and there. I wish to be honest with you, if
Ohio State would have lost to Arizona State, I would
have accepted that loss for them to win the National Championship.
(47:15):
I'm telling you now, I would have been that.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
I would have been on that bandwagon hype train for.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
I would have taken the National championship away from US
for to see in Arizona State and Natty.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Because he would anyway, I'm taking the conference championship out
of place. Yes, I am not taking Arizona State. My
swap would be Texas.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
You think Texas goes at number four?
Speaker 5 (47:40):
I think Texas would go at number four. And I
think Arizona State should have played at five and played
Clemson because I think they would have single handedly whooped Dabbo.
Speaker 4 (47:52):
All right, Chris, come on, who do you think.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
You're gonna hate me?
Speaker 4 (47:57):
No, I'm not. It's free reign, dude. We're on the
Ohio State national title.
Speaker 6 (48:02):
Now the Arizona State obviously taking out of the conference champion.
While he said four, switch, I wouldn't have them at five.
Obviously Penn State will be three, so I probably would
say Arizona State would drop this six.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
Oh so you they want to state to five? Are
you three?
Speaker 6 (48:24):
This team I'm getting ready to say is at four.
Texas was a state at five their ponies matchup, boys,
he would have been a six. Arizona State would have
fallen a seven. I think would have been you put
Notre Dame at four. I think Notre Dame could have
made a case to go out number four.
Speaker 5 (48:42):
Okay, so my argument against that is this, did you
like James Franklin's argument about Notre Dame has to go
to a conference for this to be fair for the
rest of the time being, because I totally agree with
him as much as I fucking hate James Franklin, and.
Speaker 6 (48:56):
I disagree with him, And honestly, Marcus Freeman stated and said,
are you sure we need to because where we're at, Joan,
it's that aws up. Do I think Notre Dame at
the end of the day, yes, I do think Notre
Dame needs to join a conference, but because we're taking
conference champions out of it, I think they are not.
They got four, especially with them being a one loss,
(49:17):
because I'm also trying to think losses, strength to schedule,
all that other stuff.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
Okay, don't get me wrong.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
What Texas been at number four?
Speaker 6 (49:24):
Absolutely, but I think Notre Dame would have made a
fighting case to get that number. They would have made
a fighting case for Notre Dame at number four because
you know they would have put them there. Yeah, and
Notre Dame didn't get four, they probably would have been
received as a five.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
So onto I already said my six was Boise.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Said me, huh oh, yeah, fuck you, number four. I
I think I put Texas to Okay.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
Right, Like, don't get me wrong, I do agree with
the Texas one. But they could have made a fighting
case one Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
I guarantee if someone would have made that fighting case.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
I see why I brought it up. I think Georgia
didn't earn their rank single handed because they didn't have
their starting quarterback.
Speaker 5 (49:59):
Well, if we're talking about if we're talking about the
most we're talking about the most predominant two teams. It's
that's why I personally, you cannot move those two teams.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
He can.
Speaker 4 (50:11):
I'm sorry. You beat Texas twice and you're a thirteen
to no team in the Big Ten. You're undefeated, you're
the number one season. You have to now let's go.
So I already had my six as Boise.
Speaker 5 (50:28):
Yeah, no, I'm already I have Arizona.
Speaker 4 (50:33):
State at five, so my seven I would keep.
Speaker 5 (50:40):
No, I would have swapped Ohio State, but Ohio State
at seven, Notre Dame at eight. I think Ohio State Indiana.
That would have been a rematch on that Friday night
game that everybody would have wanted to watch because Will
Howard did nasty.
Speaker 4 (50:55):
Signetti things to that team, and I.
Speaker 5 (50:58):
Loved every second of it. If we look at the
gate if we look at the gateway to that, they
would have walked in. I wanted to rematch. Looking back
at where we're at now, I wanted to rematch so
bad against Georgia.
Speaker 4 (51:10):
Okay, anybody else disagree with that? Ohio State of seven,
Notre Dame at eight.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
So who did I put it through? It was Penn State.
I'm just trying to get myself a visual. And then
Texas at four. I put Notre Dame at five, yep.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Okay, okay, see where you're at at.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Number six, I would put.
Speaker 4 (51:37):
Man.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
I would put Boise in at number six.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
They won their conference for crying out loud, they should
probably get somewhere at least in the top numbers. So
they should be at least be in the top fifty percent.
Because the Mountain West is the Mountain West, I get it.
But Arizona State one the big twelve yep, so maybe
Arizona State should take it over Boise. So Arizona State there,
that was what you had was Arizona State at six.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
Yeah, Arizona.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
I have Arizona State of five for the most predominant
team because they were they were projected to be the
last team in their conference.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
So I Arizona State at six, Boise at seven. So one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Then from what's left you have Indiana, you have SMU, Clemson, Tennessee,
Ohio State. I would put Ohio State at eight, so
(52:36):
you leave them there. I leave them at eight. I
think that's a good spot for them to sit. So
and then Tennessee was nine.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
Yep, yep.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
I think Tennessee's good at nine. I think the rest
of the way is fine.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
So that's what I was here.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
I don't think Clemson's.
Speaker 5 (52:54):
God because the rest of the bracket nine through twelve
I would have left.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
I don't think conference championships should get you a bye.
I don't even think Clemson should have gotten in with you.
I think that at the end of the day and
winning the ACC, I think we need to go to
a point system so that it makes it that the
conference championships are worth a higher number of points, so
that you then are allowed with your point system that
(53:22):
you win your conference championship. It is such a non
a large number of an amount that it puts you
at a higher rank.
Speaker 4 (53:31):
We either need to do that they have to start
playing strength to schedule.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Pay strength, schedule schedule a point.
Speaker 5 (53:39):
I'm sorry, and that's where the whole reason why I
brought this up was to show the fact that you
could be a bottom barrel projected team. And I'm still
gonna you know, if I was part of committee, I
would argue for a five seed over Texas because I
think Texas had a stronger schedule, So I would rather put.
Speaker 4 (53:58):
Them in the top four and watch Arizona State to
see what they can do. Yes, this is also going with.
Speaker 5 (54:02):
The mentality of this. We've seen what all these first
round teams can do. Yes, we have two first round
teams playing for a national title. If anybody else could
argue anything better, I swear I would love to sit
down with you because I'm not going to say you're wrong, but.
Speaker 4 (54:20):
So got explain why you think You've got to explain something.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Here's something I want to talk about as well. We
need to talk about the structure of this this playoff, gentlemen,
this is a fucked structure. If you are.
Speaker 6 (54:31):
Also said this is a this is We're gonna figure
it out.
Speaker 4 (54:36):
This is the first year test run failed.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
Here is how any.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
Ship we want it. We want the first year of it.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Let's go, and this is how I think they need
to do it. Sure, I don't care. Well, there's two
ways they can do it. You either need to set
it similar to the NFL, where your your number one
and your number two get priority pick in terms of
they're going to match up that the lowest seeding that
(55:05):
is moving into the round that they are of. Thereby
they get the lowest seed coming up. So number one
we get the lowest seed, Number two we get the
second lowest seed. Those are who they play in the
first round. And then it goes to your number three
gets the third and the fourth gets the.
Speaker 5 (55:19):
Lowest fourned with your five to twelve eleven.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
So if we did that, as of the way that
we go through Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana, well, no,
Notre Dame. Notre Dame was the high Well, Ohio State
was still the lowest rank that got out of it.
So Oregon still had to play Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
Yeah, five, six, seven, eight one.
Speaker 4 (55:40):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Okay, So this year that's tell them was set up.
Speaker 6 (55:44):
No matter what say, SMU pulls it out and beats
Penn State and Heavy Valley.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
Then the eleventh seed will be taken on more. So
that's how you're aligning it up.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Absolutely sure.
Speaker 6 (55:54):
It was kind of diffy because eight see what.
Speaker 4 (55:58):
You're doing, see what you do.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
So whoever, so the first round you take your winners
and then you place those based on the winner or
like the numbers.
Speaker 6 (56:06):
Of the Oregon because it's twelve or.
Speaker 4 (56:10):
One seed would have played the eighth seeds. Y four
seed would have played the seventh seed.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
No, the four seed would have played the closest to them,
so they would have played number five. They would have
played Penn State that already, Yeah, Georgia would have played
it fell Yeah, the only difference would have been Texas
and Penn State would have flipped. Yeah, because Penn State
would have played Arizona State. Texas would have played No, Texas.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Was number five, right, yeah, Texas was five.
Speaker 6 (56:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
No, it would have felt exactly like that.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
So if you did it in the NFL, A that's
the way. Now here's the other way you do it.
You move Oregon in Georgia, you flip Orgon in Georgia.
I think Oregon could beat Notre Dame. That's a better
matchup for organ And then who do they have to play.
They have to beat a Penn State team that they
(57:09):
already fucking beat. Holy Organ would be playing us again.
Organ would have had to play us in the Natty.
Speaker 4 (57:19):
Everybody wanted, think about it.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
They wanted an Ohio State Orgon match up. That's probably
they wanted the rematch. No matter what, they got a rematch.
Speaker 6 (57:27):
I'ms to that Rema a chef's kiss up again so
more than once.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
So gentlemen that that that's the only two ways you
concede this cracket is you flip Organ in Georgia and
you fix a lot of problems.
Speaker 6 (57:41):
Honest, I got a fun way you could solve it,
and they can piss everybody off.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
Throw them all into a bucket and bingo style it
say fu give it a kid's state. Well we need
to talk about that because our old theory that needs
to happen, that top five, bottom five or whatever of
each play it to get in and out. Yes, hey,
I brought that up to people that. So I have
somebodies in Canada that don't watch college football. I brought
(58:06):
it up to them because I've been kind of teaching
them a little bit of college about college football, and
they're like that'd be awesome, And I'm like, so fucking loutely.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
It's almost like FIFA style.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
Yeah, it's very much. Yeah, you have to play to
state where you are.
Speaker 4 (58:20):
Wow, the one seed would play Kent State. Dude, we
don't want to watch that slaughter.
Speaker 1 (58:26):
No no, no, no, no, no, you're you so like how we
used to say, like, uh, the top five of the
FCS would play the bottom five of the fb sbs.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
Yeah, to play for FCS.
Speaker 2 (58:36):
FBSTA State's playing Kent State.
Speaker 4 (58:40):
Oh yeh.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
Yep. Now how about that Montana State matchup? Who was
second lowest?
Speaker 4 (58:50):
Oh, I don't know, look up one hundred and twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
Oh god, well look that up real quick.
Speaker 6 (58:57):
I will say one positive thing I did like within
the top four, at least they pretty much set.
Speaker 2 (59:03):
It up to where they could pick their bowl games.
Speaker 6 (59:05):
Like Oregon picked the Rose Bull, Georgia picked the Sugar
Bowl Boys, he picked the Fiesta, which they went with
the seating for whoever to pick. Unfortunately, Arizona State they
had to travel and playing the Peach Bowl.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
But for that I thought it wasn't too shabby. I'm like,
making set up like a home field advantage?
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Are we using the playoff rankings, because do the playoff
rankings go that far down? No, No, it's just flat
out just college football at eight people, yeah, eight people,
no rankings, college pool.
Speaker 4 (59:38):
Yeah yeah. So Kent State's gonna be the worst.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
I'm not finding it.
Speaker 2 (59:46):
Might be second bottom five, But do you only had
the one win?
Speaker 1 (59:51):
Oh yeah, all n C double a f There we go,
there we go.
Speaker 3 (59:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (59:56):
Is that about that?
Speaker 4 (59:57):
And the then just scroll down?
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Actually you could go to wins and then you should
be able to reclick it so you can do.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
The lowest right now, bless up right now for this
computer hopefully doesn't freeze.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
Oh no, our table, our.
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
Recording, our computer is broken. It's gonna blow up. Fact,
we don't know nobody, damn it.
Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
Am I gonna have to look this up?
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
No, I'm looking it up.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Simmer down, okay, toa sash three wins. No, I'm not
finding it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
It won't give me what I want.
Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
So prettiest one and eleven throw that there, Kennessas State's
two and ten, Massachusetts two and ten, Kent State, oh
and twelve, three and ten.
Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
So we already said it's the worst.
Speaker 6 (01:00:58):
Southern Mississippi one and eleven produce one and eleven. I'm
gonna go bottom from the conference, from all the conferences. Okay, Okay,
(01:01:19):
Tulsa string and nine, don't write them down. Okay, Florida
State's two and ten.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Are they on that.
Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
They're one of the top, they're one of the worst programs, one.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Of the worst.
Speaker 1 (01:01:33):
Two and ten.
Speaker 6 (01:01:34):
Okay, Oklahoma States string and nine, so that they're higher.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Up, they're good.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Kennesas State's two and ten, which too first against liberty liberty.
Speaker 6 (01:01:47):
Yeah, but we'll put an asterisk by them because this
was their first year at FBS level.
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Massa, hold on you, mass to and ten. Yep, I
know the Marainebow Warriors aren't there. Baby should have been incorrect.
Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Mississippi State to and ten.
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Mississippi State two and ten.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Yeah, that might be six right there.
Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
I mean you got I already have Kent State written down,
Florida State, kennesaw u mass Mississippi State.
Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
How many is that there?
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
That's five? Okay, So I will so I wrote those
in the order. Well do you wanna do you want
to leave them there? Do you want to go the
next one?
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
I mean the next one.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
He'll give them like a one year. We'll give them
like a two year.
Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
A one year past get a two.
Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
Year grace period when you get in as well, one
year grace period. Okay, so they get the one year
grace period because they just added this year.
Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
Who's after Mississippi States? Sorry, give me a second.
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
I'm gonna start filling these in.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Not wrong one. I don't want rankings.
Speaker 6 (01:03:04):
Nine and nine.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
We might be at three and nine because all the
other ones are two and ten. Brother, I'm looking at
the Nevada no crime.
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
So all the ten lost teams, all right?
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
You ready for this? All right, gentlemen. So in terms
of your first matchup, in terms of this bracket, so
I would say your top five teams will go up.
Your bottom five teams you lose in the first round,
you are screwed. Then your second round from there, I
guess they would resink it. So I'll team I already
have them, already wrote them. Well, he was doing that.
(01:03:45):
I did the FCS team. So your FCS teams in
terms of your rank is North Dakota State at number one,
Montana State at number two, South Dakota State, Jack Rabbits
at number three, South Dakota State of four, and you
see Davis at number five, yes, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Okay, So North Dakota State has Kent State.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Yep, yes, so North Dakota State would be hosting Kent State.
We'll just say that all the FCS schools will host
for the allowance of you're in a lower you're in
the FCS, you're not probably making as much money you
get to be able to host the home games because
you're playing to try to get up. Do you agree?
(01:04:25):
You agree? Okay? Then Florida State would be playing at
Montana State. Oh my god, that is a loss for
Florida State right there. UMass would be playing at South
Dakota State.
Speaker 4 (01:04:38):
That's a they have a dome.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Mississippi State will be playing at South Dakota, and Nevada
would be playing at UC Davis.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
I think Nevada and Mississippi.
Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
State brother that Nevada. You see Davis game would be solid.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
But the top three deserve to be in the FBS.
Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
Those top three need to be in the FBS.
Speaker 4 (01:05:00):
I think they're going to be bidding for it here soon.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Absolutely, they should be the excell ones in the bid. So, guys,
I think that this needs to become a thing every
year until they do it. Until they do it, it
will become our thing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
Would that make kids stay Ohio Valley?
Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:05:19):
Yes, take on Youngstown, make that the rivalry.
Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
I don't think Youngstown's Ohio Valley anymore. They I think
Missouri Valley. Yeah, because Bastown state that long. I can't
really remember.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Their Missouri Valley.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
They got a conference game with North Dakota State.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Remember the Universe.
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
They played University of Northern Illinois or Northern Iowa. That
was the game I was supposed to go to, but
then I took another job.
Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
I can't fuck. I can't remember what conference they're in.
Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
We have technology Norden and Iowa at least within their
basketball I thought they would get the NOD up. Yeah,
them up to the Division one, not Division one double a.
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
N C double A Missouri Valley conference.
Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
Okay, so that's what conference they were in.
Speaker 6 (01:06:20):
Okay, I just knew they they had a conference game
with Northdacoast State, and I'm like that ain't.
Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Gentlemen?
Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Speaking of conferences, please tell me who had the well
this lineup in terms of the NFL on their BINGO
card for twenty twenty five, because I did.
Speaker 4 (01:06:39):
Not have bingo for what.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Did you have the layout? Of this year in the
NFL postseason on your Bengo card. Did you have the
layout of that on your Bingo card this year?
Speaker 4 (01:06:57):
Yes? And no, we did predictions.
Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
I can't remember.
Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
We did not.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
We did not do predictions, but we did have our
online predictions.
Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
Did you do one ouran o?
Speaker 5 (01:07:07):
I forgot our I did actually our my Bengo card
number one would I would have not seen the Commanders
pulling out a doink against the Buccaneers, as I think
all the top seeds, though they did it right. If
(01:07:29):
anybody thought the Bills were gonna get the Bills were
not going to get past Denver, you were wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:07:37):
Yeah I did. Yeah, that's stupid.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
I think Josh Allen is a choke fest in the postseason.
Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
We'll look who they're playing next.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
The ability to choke exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
So yeah, I didn't have even make I'll just say this,
the seedings, yes, I had them. The outcomes, the majority
of them, they're if they were a surprise to you,
There's only one that was a surprise.
Speaker 4 (01:08:06):
That was the Commanders.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
The Commandos.
Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
So now we get to talk real football with now
the top seeds getting into play.
Speaker 4 (01:08:17):
I'm still I'm I'm high on the old Michigan weed
right now, because fucking Dan Campbell can win a super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
The day light it up, I will like that light
that dandel.
Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
I'm you know, I wholeheartedly think.
Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
They can win a super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
I would be concerned though, with this matchup. Jayden Daniels
has nothing to lose, guys, for sure, other than maybe health,
but everything else he's putting on the line.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
It's hey, whoever's named Dan and the head coach. He's
gonna win the game.
Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
A rookie upsetting the number one seed in the playoffs, Dude,
we're talking historic. That kid is having is going to
try to have his best week going into this weekend,
So you need to be prepared for a hell of
a matchup coming on the eighteenth.
Speaker 4 (01:09:10):
There, All right, what's the next? Keep throwing shit.
Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
I don't think the Chiefs are going to go very far.
That's probably an unpopular opinion, but probably a popular opinion
as well.
Speaker 4 (01:09:19):
I think the Chiefs do not have all the refs
in their back pocket. No, I'm just kidding. I think
the Chiefs aren't healthy enough.
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Chiefs aren't healthy enough. Travis is getting old.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
I think Travis is done after this year.
Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Well, and let's be real.
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
If he is that, I don't know. I'm fifty fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:09:40):
But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
He ain't gonna stay in the league because of money.
We know that. If anything, he's stay in the league
because he wants to. But his brother's retired. And look
at what happy his brother is.
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
He has his own show now.
Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
Yeah, well his brother's on ESPN.
Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
Yeah, yes, they both got their podcasts. That's still doing good.
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
And he'll probably go join one of the sports commentating
groups too.
Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
So yeah, I'd like to see that, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
Next one, I think the Ravens have a very good
opportunity to get into their Super Bowl era and or
a Super Bowl win this year.
Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
Who they have.
Speaker 6 (01:10:13):
They have the Bills of Buffalo, which I Baltimore will win.
Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Baltimore is gonna win that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
I got Kansas City over Houston.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
And gentlemen, I think that the Ravens are good enough,
and I know it hurts you, It hurts The Ravens
are good enough to win it all. It's just if
they know how to utilize their offense. And they do.
There's there's their defense so strong.
Speaker 6 (01:10:35):
Yeah, however, they're going into Kansas City. So as long
as everything is good, and the twelfth Man doesn't show up.
Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
They do, at the end of the day, have a
problem when they go to Kansas City. It's every time
that they do.
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
There is Yes, there's a guy you got a wrong game, Yes,
but you gotta utilize the wrong game. Go with the
opposite of the run game.
Speaker 6 (01:11:02):
There's a guy that squads the fucking shit done and
he's pulling up a whole fucking home set.
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Give the ball to twenty two. Let him man handle
that defense. Then let Lamar Torch.
Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
Let King Henry do his job.
Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Yeah, that King Henry do his thing.
Speaker 6 (01:11:19):
Zam Zay's Outay's gonna be out for a little bit.
So if you have a receiving game, you better help.
Isaiah likely can keep his big foot in bounds because
he got Bateman knows how to drop a ball.
Speaker 4 (01:11:34):
Every now who doesn't.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
That's why I.
Speaker 6 (01:11:36):
Said give it a likely or tell Mark Andrews, Hey,
if you're gonna go out, make it a bang and
make sure he catches the ball to But if he
opened it up short, that's why I said, like King
Henry do his job and then Lamar will get it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
That's the only way.
Speaker 6 (01:11:49):
But with that be in Kansas City, Patty Mahomes and
Andy Reid. He'll pull up the cheeseburger combo meal play
and then being Bata Boom because I can't diss Andy Reid.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
My last.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
That's why he's one of the best coaches we got.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
On my last two comments, I have one that's about
the playoffs. The other is about just the fact that
it's same old Cleveland Number one is and it's the
last piece about the playoffs. Jalen Hurts is still concussed
and he needs to pack it in for the year.
That's my last comment that I know, because they can
(01:12:27):
really they can very much win against the Rams, and
they have a very good opportunity to win win against
whoever wins the Lions matchup, which it will probably be
the Lions. They're at home. I get it, Jayden Daniels
is Jaden Daniels, But guys, Jalen Hurts is still concussed.
You don't play that against Green Bay team that is
(01:12:48):
first thing, had multiple injuries, let alone to their star
ting and main wide receiver in the game.
Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
So you can't.
Speaker 1 (01:12:57):
You cannot, only you cannot only win by two touchdowns
to that team.
Speaker 6 (01:13:01):
Bustin Na Kobe Dean is hurt for the Eagles and
he's missing the rest of the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
Absolute maker for their defense.
Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
That's it. That's their defense maker, that's their offense maker.
In terms of Jalen because he is not.
Speaker 6 (01:13:10):
There, granted, he could put Kenny pick it in and
say he got one job.
Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
No immediately, No, no, listen, he needs to go to
fucking Germany and go play football over there. He's this
is all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
There's only one.
Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
He has no chance in Canada as soon as he
goes in.
Speaker 6 (01:13:31):
Their option is Featsquon. They ain't gonna have much of
a pass game unless you're gonna flip it at. Saqu
throws the ball like the idea. He cannot sleep on
Saquon Barkley.
Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
I love it. Hey went down nixt year on.
Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
He went, all right, Kenny take the ball, hit at
the twenty six. Let's twenty six to his thing.
Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
Got himself a little bit of Dan Campbell in there.
All right, boys, we're gonna we're gonna pitch the ball
to devonte' A J.
Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
BROWNJ.
Speaker 1 (01:14:09):
Brown in the back of the end zone.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
They're gonna be.
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Brown. No, but gentlemen, I'm sorry I think the Eagles
will barely survive this weekend. They Yeah, they might not
win against the Rams. The Rams are just that good.
Speaker 4 (01:14:27):
That's that's where I was kind of waiting for him.
As as much as.
Speaker 5 (01:14:32):
As many weapons as that team has, we do not
have a healthy quarterback. I'm not putting my full hearted
faith into Kenny Pickett.
Speaker 4 (01:14:39):
No, that's not happening.
Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
Ship him. He needs to be gone.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
I was gonna say.
Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
Pay him off, send him to somewhere else.
Speaker 6 (01:14:45):
Jalen hurts, and then they go with Kenny Pickett or
Tanner McKee. It's you're obviously giving the ball to or
you're gonna make a walk out with saquon.
Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
My last NFL comment, or do you have more on playoffs?
Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Sorry, I don't have any more on playoffs, but I'm
gonna have a couple of.
Speaker 1 (01:14:59):
NFL My NFL comment of the point, So, how about
the fact that we trade Zadarius Smith and he becomes
the guy in Detroit now? Because absolutely, but it just
it hurts me, no knowing damn well, we called it,
and we knew it would fucking happen, and history fucking
(01:15:20):
repeats itself.
Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
The Browns get rid of somebody.
Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
And it becomes a goddamn m VP of the fucking league.
Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Could be the could could be playing for a super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
And he could be based on how he performs the
Super Bowl, could have a chance to be a Super
Bowl MVP. Do I think he will be? No, they
never give it to the defense, but still he will
still have conversations.
Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
I totally think that the Patriots made a really good
move was getting Mike Rabel.
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Yes, I agree.
Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
Yes, Black Monday, which, for those people that didn't know,
we're past Black Monday. Black Monday is the monday all
the NFL coaches get fired.
Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
If you got fired before, then you really suck the.
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
Bad NFL coaches.
Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
Anyway, one of those bad NFL coaches is actually getting
inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this year.
Speaker 4 (01:16:19):
So two of them, Yeah, two of them.
Speaker 5 (01:16:23):
So the other one was yeah, the other one couldn't
make it the one yeah. The other one just he
needed to stick with college. Now he just needs to
stay seated beside Pat McAfee.
Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
I think that the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
Understand that they got their version of a Mike or
the Mike Rabel is a version of Dan Campbell.
Speaker 1 (01:16:47):
Yeah, I crazy enough to be yes, and.
Speaker 5 (01:16:53):
I think they played it smart for that organization to
get not only a very well known respected coach, yeah,
I mean as well as a former teammate, yeah, former playeration.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Now so wish she went to All State anyway?
Speaker 5 (01:17:12):
Yeah, No, I think I think all the Ryan Day
haters have really shut up, and I think even if
we lose this national title, he's not losing his job.
Speaker 4 (01:17:22):
I will say this, I do not like what the
Browns are doing. Once again, I say it. I do
not like the fact that they are fumbling right now
on the.
Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
Fact they are not investigating the second ruptured Achilles by
Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
Yeah five season, because there is a clause, an insurance
clause that.
Speaker 5 (01:17:49):
Says, if you did not follow our protocol to a t,
they can release with no penalty. So I'm going to
hold that in my back pocket for now. I just
wanted to make that well known. Let's keep an eye
out for after the super Bowl, because we may see
some fun changes come free.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Agency, gentlemen. It could be a fun time.
Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
But for now, let's see who's gonna win a Super
Bowl and the biggest thing.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
Of all, who's going to be the national champion? That's
mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:23):
That's I think we're majority gentlemen.
Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
We covered. I do want to make a final comment
because if Scott does listen, I want to say it,
go Calves. I'll just give it to him. Calves are
going fucking insane.
Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Calves are clicking again.
Speaker 6 (01:18:39):
Rematch with Oklahoma City, which w knew Okay was going
to be this good too.
Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
Yep, I mean absolutely send it their way Finals match up.
Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Let's just make it happen.
Speaker 4 (01:18:50):
The last Calves game was in two thousand and eight.
It's so.
Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Oh Jesus Lebron and.
Speaker 1 (01:19:00):
Ever been to an actual Cavs game. I've been in
that stadium twice.
Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
You've been to Quick and Long, Yeah, for two.
Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
Monsters Mortgage, Yeah, but I've been to two Monsters games.
Speaker 6 (01:19:10):
I've been to the Cavs game when the Pelicans were there.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
I know who's there doing a.
Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
Little bit of rolling two a hockey club down in Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
They I haven't checked.
Speaker 4 (01:19:23):
Remember, I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:19:28):
Season ended?
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
You mean the last walk card spot?
Speaker 1 (01:19:31):
Oh no, we suck again. But we're not doing too bad.
Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
No, no, we're five hundred.
Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
Like I don't know. On one hand, I.
Speaker 5 (01:19:42):
Really want to go see a Jackets game. But I
don't really want to pay a lot of money to
go see.
Speaker 4 (01:19:46):
A Jackets game. Yeah, it's all right.
Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
I kept looking at the Stadium series and I'm.
Speaker 6 (01:19:51):
Like, do I, oh, do I want to sit at
the shoe in the cold and watch him play Detroit?
Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (01:19:57):
I thought about just surprising Sarah because I know she
doesn't listen to that. I thought about surprising Sarah and
just saying, Hey, on a random ass Friday, Hey, I
got Blue Jackets tickets.
Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
Fuck yeah, we're.
Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Going dude, that stadium series game. I was looking at
tickets because I love something about it, like for the
fact that Kylie and I went to that one in
Cleveland two years or was it two years ago? Yeah,
and like that after doing that, that was a lot
of fun. Man, those are fun. Your cold as ship,
(01:20:28):
but you make a lot of memories with it, because
I don't know, something about being really fucking cold really
makes you just really enjoy hockey more, you know. Damn,
I don't know, but uh yeah, I got a pee. Okay,
we'll call it. We'll call pause, and then we'll dignify
(01:20:51):
a piss corner. No, not on sticks. Oh yeah, Chris's corner.
Get played, Let's drown him. Yes, well, well we're gonna
take a quick break. We will be right back. Hey, chairman,
